I find it highly amusing how in situations where the ninja are separated/it's just the OG four, Kai and Zane immediately assume control/start spearheading the team because apparently no one else is sane enough or in the right mind to do so.
Your honour, they literally have one of the best dynamics in the show, with how they're probably the most protective people in the team. And it makes me mad how this is overlooked by the fandom and the show.
i like to think that after the first arc, Jambu would take Glory on little field trips to teach her about the rainforest, since Glory was there for like a week before she became queen and then she was immediately launched into other problems
AWH... I'm skipping through Roier's QSMP Day 1 VOD because I'm looking for a specific thing, and I just noticed that when Jaiden stands in front of the group to do her introduction and her mic isn't working, Mariana laughs (not in a mean way, I laughed too) and Roier immediately smacks him and tells him off for laughing.
[Timestamp ~36m 50s, volume warning for Quackity's awful mic]
It's such a little thing, but I think it's really sweet in retrospect, especially considering how Roier and Jaiden have become such good friends in recent weeks :')
is he your lord before he's your brother?
how do you put your duty to your lord before your duty to your brother? how do you tell the difference?

"I should've seen the signs" I feel like Stoick was basically reliving the way he lost Valka.
To him, after a lifetime of wanting nothing but to kill a dragon, Hiccup's suddenly and inexplicably changed his mind. To him, Hiccup saying he can't kill them is just like when Valka refused to and tried convincing others as well, then as a result was 'killed' by one herself.
To him, way Hiccup tossed his weapon and shield to the side then approached Hookfang while speaking about how dragons aren't what people think they are probably bares an uncomfortable resemblance to the way Valka put down her weapon and stared a dragon in the eyes and as a result was taken.
To him, attempting to do anything but preemptively defend yourself against a dragon will only end in tragedy, so he has to do anything he can to stop Hiccup before it's too late.
(And just like with Valka, he unintentionally escalated the situation by trying to protect Hiccup but only agitated the dragon, causing it to panic and react, inadvertently putting someone he loves in danger. again)
Stoick of course, wasn't acting rationally, but it makes sense when you think about how traumatizing Valka's 'death' must've been for him (and how much Hiccup reminss him of her); he watched her get taken, presumably killed, and couldn't do anything about it.
How do I even begin to explain to allos that the reason I'm frothing at the mouth whenever I think about two characters is not because I want them to kiss but rather because they're fundamentally parts of each other and they simply cannot exist as they are without each other?
I know there are plenty of Steddie aus where they get together pre-s4 in one way or another, but are there any where Eddie still dies?
Because like. Steve grieving in a way and to a degree he never has before; steve showing up on Nancy's doorstep with an apology on his tongue because I didn't get it before I get it now I get it now you can't ever go back to normal Nance I get it now; Steve facing a mortality other than his own because he was supposed to be the tank, the thing at the front lines that took the hits even if it meant going down but no one else was.
Steve who wonders why this had to be the time he fails, who hates himself for thinking that when he'd never give anyone else's life in place of Eddie's except maybe his own.
Steve down for the count while they try to regroup and only a spare few people understand why, Steve who comes out to his mother on accident just by merely cracking when she wraps him in a hug after he tries to explain that he lost a friend in the earthquakes, he lost a friend Mom I lost him, I should have-- I couldn't-- I can't--
Just.
Steve who adopted himself into this world, chose to stay despite not being all that connected to any of them after he and Nancy break up; he felt for Nancy when she lost Barb and he felt for El when she lost Hopper but he never got it like he gets it now.
To lose your person.
It's enough to make a warrior out of a boy or a self-imploding missile out of a lover.
Thank you so SO much to everyone who commissioned (read: enabled) me!!
Now that I've reached my goal of +10ing my boy, and since my time is (unfortunately) still quite limited due to work, I'm going to be closing comms tomorrow! So, if you have an idea and haven't decided if you want to commit or not yet, now's your last chance for the time being! ;) And to all those who have already paid, I know I do still have quite a few to get through- I was a FOOL to think I could just bang these out in 24 hours, lol, but please rest assured they will be coming within the next few days!! I'll get through them slowly but surely. Admittedly I did take a break to draw this guy because I was so pleased to get him, but I'll get right back on the horse tomorrow lol.
Thank you so much again everyone!! ^O^
