Tijdens de introductie helpt de gemeente Nijmegen nieuwe studenten de weg te vinden naar de fietsenstallingen in het centrum. Met de kunstzinnige 'rode loper' op straat zie je over hoeveel meter de gratis fietsenstalling te vinden is. De stallingen op Plein '44 en de Bisschop Hamerstraat zijn dagelijks tot 5.00 uur open en de Mariënburg is speciaal voor de introductie open tot 2.00 uur 's nachts. De actie wordt ingezet in overleg met de onderwijsinstellingen en de politie om de fietsparkeeroverlast tijdens de introweek maar ook daarna te beperken. Tijdens de introweek wordt dagelijks geevalueerd hoe het gaat. Mocht het nodig zijn dan worden er nog extra fietsklemmen buiten de beheerde fietsenstalling geplaatst. Actie Fietsenstallingen in aansluiting op geschilderde 'tuin' De actie sluit aan op de geschilderde 'tuin' op het Koningsplein, voorheen een populaire plek om de fiets tijdelijk neer te zetten. Hier helpen 'tuinverzorgers' de weg naar de stalling te vinden. Tijdens de introductie helpen medestudenten op verschillende plekken de eerstejaars naar de gratis stallingen. Doel is dat ze daar gebruik van blijven maken en de fietsen niet willekeurig in de stad neerzetten waar ze de weg kunnen versperren.  Door het gebruik van de fietsenstallingen maken de studenten kans op leuke prijzen zoals zadelhoesjes, lokale bonnen en als hoofdprijs: een nieuwe fiets. De actie loopt tot en met 27 augustus. Het schilderwerk is van kunstenaar Krista Burger van TheBigDraw.
