Setting Your Heart Upon God’s Word. Study - Practice - Teach
For `Ezra had set his heart on studying and practicing the Torah of Adonai and teaching Isra'el the laws and rulings. (Ezr_7:10) CJB
The Bible tells us that Ezra’s trip from Babylon to Jerusalem, a journey of about 900 miles, took less than five months because “the gracious hand of his God was on him.” And then adds, “This was because Ezra had determined to study and obey the Law of the Yahweh and to teach those decrees and regulations to the people of Israel” (Ezr_7:9-10).
When we set our hearts upon studying and obeying God’s Word, and add the desire to teach it to others — God will prosper our steps with expedience and favor. “But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, shining ever brighter until full daylight. ” (Pro_4:18) CJB. Ezra and his fellow footmen were protected from attacks by bandits, and were preserved in their supplies, both physically and emotionally. They left Babylon in high hopes, and arrived in Jerusalem refreshed and filled with wonder. Elsewhere the Bible says, “Great peace have they who love Your Law; and nothing will offend them” (Psa_119:165). Set your heart upon God’s Word (New & Old Testament), and watch how God begins to prosper your way; how He blesses you in business, in friendships, in breakthroughs, and in favor with others. The bottom line is that God’s Word is true and trustworthy, and by opening our hearts to its life-giving power, we can live everyday in the deep assurance that God will open His heart to us with blessing and favor.

(Incoming rant brought to you by another Youtube rabbithole I fell down.)
So. Prosperity Gospel. I cannot wrap my head around how this thing is even considered a branch of Christianity.
I mean, for sure, we can all slag on the obscene wealth of the Catholic church, and they fully deserve any and all dragging, but as far as I understand they are just a bunch of simple hypocrites who directly practice the opposite of what they preach.
The Prosperity Gospel though. They dress it up in ideology. Greed is good, your material wealth is directly correlated to your worth as a person and any hard times you may fall upon are fully your own fault for being a worthless sinner.
I dunno man.
I just... I guess they'd benefit from checking out the teachings of this one obscure Middle-Eastern guy... I mean, they wouldn't like it much, my man was saying things like:
'It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to go to heaven'.
Wild stuff, right?
Edit: I mean, the Olympics level mental gymnastics to be aware of the contents of your own holy book and yet get so far from the basic spirit is astounding.

This one family I used to babysit for confused the absolute hell out of me as a teen, but honestly, putting together in my late 20s that they were most likely Messianics made SO MUCH about them suddenly make SO MUCH sense.

YESHUA, TRANSFIGURATION, MERKHABAH
“And after six days Yeshua took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his clothes became radiant, intensely white, as no one on earth could bleach them. And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus. And Peter said to Yeshua, ‘Rabbi,it is good that we are here. Let us make three tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.’ For he did not know what to say, for they were terrified.”
-Mark 9:2-6
Six Days- if we work our way down from the three supernals- Keter, Chockmah, Binah- towards the world we live in- Malkhut- we quickly realize that each of the remaining 7 sefirot relate to the seven days of creation. It is absolutely vital we pay careful attention to numbers in scripture because they’re always alluding to a deeper understanding of the Divine. In the case of the transfiguration of Yeshua six denotes Yesod, or the foundation through which all the Divine Light of G-D pours into creation.
High Mountain- think of Jacobs latter and ascent to the throne room of El Shaddai- or Most High, ‘The Lord of the Mountains’ to their neighboring Samaritans. Where Jacobs vision occurred became Beth-El, or the House of God right.
Radiant- this is what we call Shekhinah Glory. The tzaddik- saint in simplest terms- is rooted deeply in the path of hakam- seeking wisdom under the guidance of Chockmah- one of those supernals I mentioned earlier. Anyways, this is the Divine Mother, that female aspect of G-D’s dwelling and immanence in the created world. Yeshua has awakened to the Divine Feminine coursing through the fabric of the Universe and was raised up- brought forward into Yesod- a higher state of being. The Bar-Enash, or “Son of Man,” represents the new humanity Yeshua taught must be born within each soul. We must all awaken to Her presence.
Moshe and Elijah are prophets of the Most High and like all prophets are deeply related to Netzach and Hod. (the Pereshat Pekudei in the Zohar goes into detail for those interested in learning more about the Hekhalot and the essence of Heaven) Prophecy-divine vision emanates through Netzach, Hod and Yesod in Yeshuas transfiguration as these three represent the zeir anpin- the small face in Aramaic. (it’s the mirroring of the three supernals into the physical world of malkhut and the subject of quite a bit of debate amongst kabbalists. It was still firmly nestled in the realm of oral tradition in Yeshuas time so a lot of our way of seeing it just didn’t exist yet)
Three Tents- remember tents is the word for the tabernacle found in the Torah. It represents Shekhinah glory- G-Ds dwelling among us. This is exactly what will happen to any of us who follow Yeshuas halakhah- the way- and internalize love and justice in our everyday thoughts and manner of living. Whereas Netzach and Hod distribute that divine flux from on high it’s Yesod that determines what we receive. (Kabbalah meaning “to receive”) Yeshua offered us explicit instructions to follow that would allow us to elevate ourselves to a higher calling as He Himself did.
They were terrified- Yeshua brought them on High because Peter, James and John had shown promise. They had internalized the halakhah and were living in the way. (the first church was actually called the way) As such, they were ready to be initiated into the Higher Mysteries and receive Chockmah directly from the source. Think of Solomon saying “The fear of Adonai is the beginning of Chockmah.” The word for fear in Hebrew is yara- to fear, be in awe, tremble with joy. Awakening the baet- transformative awe of God- would shake a disciple to their core as they move beyond the stage of halakhah.
This is what merkhabah is at its core. It’s moving beyond mere words and codes of conduct. To be wrapped in a cloud doesn’t mean a meteorological fog or something trite like that. Anan literally means a covering, or hiding place. It’s the mysterious realm of Yesod- in this case the environment of Divine vision. Ancient accounts from various cultures are full of examples of how people tremble and their hair stands up on the back of their necks when this sort of mystical experience occurs. Hence, the disciples were terrified.
Don’t be shy. I know I shrouded a mystery in a mystery on this one. Symbolism is a kink for me though. Just remember whose yoke is easy and whose halakhah is light. As a Rabbi Yeshua provided a lifestyle and manner of thinking rather than ritual and dogma. Anyone can have a merkhabah experience by following the way of the prophets. All it takes is willingness, not wuwu new age nuance.
That is all. 🫳🎤

Very emotional about the breakfast story in the Gospel of John. Simon, James and John, Thomas, Nathanael, and a few others are out together. Simon says he's going fishing, and the others say they're coming along. They spend all night trying to get a good haul, and they catch nothing. Dawn is breaking, and they see a man on the shore a long way off, but they can't tell who he is. He shouts to them, "You don't have any fish, do you?" They have to shout back a disgruntled, "No." The man replies, "Put the net on the other side and you'll catch some fish!" Maybe they roll their eyes a bit--they're the ones out on the water, and they have been all night, what would he know?--and the fish start flooding into the net.
And John looks at Simon and remembers: this has happened before. Three years ago, before everything changed--that voice had shouted to them the same instruction.
"Simon!!" he says, "It's the Lord!"
And it hits Simon like a thunderbolt. He frantically throws on his coat (he'd stripped for work) and plunges into the water. He'd walked on the water before to meet Jesus, what was swimming a hundred yards? So eager to reach Him he can't wait the few minutes for the boat to come in--and when it gets there, he has to go and help unload the fish anyway. But even those few moments with Jesus are worth the soaking wet robes and the exhaustion. And anyway, He already has a fire going--with some fish of His own. "Come and have breakfast!" He says.
And then they sit and eat together, just like they had done so many times over the past three years, and He's there with them, perhaps gently laughing at Simon, still dripping from his swim, and it's like He never left.
He never truly did.

The way of holiness is narrow
The way of holiness is narrow
The path less traveled holds the greatest reward. Matthew 7:13-14 – “Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it. How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it.” In reviewing the overarching themes of Yeshua’s Sermon on the Mount, many of the concepts overlap with one…

Typology of Christ
People often ask the question, who is God, and why doesn’t he just reveal himself to us?   Why doesn’t he give us some kind of proof that he exists so we can believe. It’s a good question but it’s the wrong question to ask because God does want you to know that he exists and that he loves you enough to give you ways to find him, but only if you seek him with love and try to understand why he…

WHEAT AND TARES
"But while he slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way." — Mat_13:25. HOW CLEARLY our Lord taught the personality of Satan! In His explanation of this parable, He said distinctly, "The enemy that sowed them is the devil." He knew that in every heart—in the Church as well as in the world—the great enemy of God's Kingdom, and of human happiness, is always at work, sowing tares. The seed may be very small, but in a single night irreparable injury may be wrought. Notice that we become as the seed we receive—those who receive the wheat-seed become wheat; those who receive the tare-seed become tares. "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he." How careful we should be over the books we read, the companionship and friendship that we form, the recreations that we take part in. Such are some of the processes by which our characters are being made. If we are thoughtless and careless, we expose ourselves to the reception of tare-seed, which germinates into weeds and rubbish. Of course, if our necessary duties take us into scenes where evil is rife, we may claim the keeping power of Messiah, and hide ourselves in Him. As the doctor or nurse will saturate themselves with disinfectant when called to a house where plague or fever is incurred, so the Ruach (Holy Spirit), in whom we may bathe our souls, will be as the antiseptic, and deliver us from the microbes of temptation (Gal_5:16-17). There is not much difference, it is said, between wheat and tares, in the earlier stages of growth; it is only when the harvest comes that the distinction is dearly defined.
So in the Church and the world, there are many counterfeits, people who seem to be good and true, but they are not what they seem, and in the day of reckoning they will be rooted up and cast forth as rubbish. The two classes that will be rejected at last are "All that cause stumbling, and them that do iniquity" (Mat_13:41,). It may be that you are not amongst those that do iniquity, in any of its glaring forms, but are you causing others to stumble by your inconsistent behavior or worldliness? Let each of us carefully examine ourselves, and open our hearts to receive from the hand of Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ) the incorruptible seed which He waits to implant by His Word.

The Way, The Teachings of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene Teach Love
The Power of The Way, the Truth that comes Only through Love and Forgiveness.  When you live as Love Expressed, you can Create Heaven on Earth. It is imperative that you begin with Self Love. Allow yourself all your Love, All the Love there Is. Allow the Love of the Universe to flow freely through and around you, as that is The Way. Why does The Way teach Love and only Love? Because it is a…

By the way, for anyone who is still confused about messianics and why I have such a problem with them (as do the vast, vast majority of actual Jews - one of the few things we can virtually all agree on) think about it like this: they are like the Crisis Pregnancy Centers of the Jewish world.
CPCs deliberately market themselves in ways that imply that they provide actual medical care, pregnancy resources, or information on abortion, only to get their clients in a vulnerable situation and then accost them with forced-birther bullshit and massive guilt trips to convince them to keep their darling baby that I'm totally 100% sure will be the next Mozart if you only gave Jesus a chance!
Messianics do this by marketing themselves as observant, devout orthodoxim with deep Torah learning, mystical insights, and a unique perspective on living a life of mitzvot....... who happen to believe Yeshua was Ha-Moshiach, and worship him as a god, but this totally isn't avodah zarah because Yeshua told them so! Also *toot toot* the shofar to bring in our Sunday Sabbath!
It's fine to want to keep an unplanned pregnancy and it's fine to get an abortion. It's not fine to try to trick people into making a major decision that could ruin their lives.
Similarly, it's fine to be a Xtian just like it's fine to be a Jew. It's not fine to be a Xtian playing offensive dress-up as a Jew to trick Jews into worshipping Jesus.
