Wait guys, the vest Steve tosses Eddie when they get back in the RV ISN'T EDDIE'S VEST

I was completely mistaken and replied to someone somewhere yesterday saying it was. BUT IT ISN'T.

This is a vest from the War Zone that Eddie's wears for the rest of vol.2 - you can tell from the fabric that is green, not denim. We see this new vest in the shopping cart when Steve puts on the jacket he gets and starts talking to Robin.

But there is NO SIGN OF EDDIE'S VEST after they walk into the War Zone. Is it in the bag along with the new green one???

No but like Steve returning the vest to Eddie right before the final battle. Eddie tries to tell him he could keep it, but Steve just leaves Eddie standing there, holding the vest.

And the next thing you know, Steve is on the ground, eyes lifeless and mouth barely open, blood dripping out. Eddie is grabbed away by Robin and Nancy, forced back from the body, and taken to his trailer.

Great, Vecna is defeated and Steve is dead. Eddie clutches his vest in his shaking hands. It should have been me. He cries into the vest, letting the clothes soak up his tears. He sobs out loud. It should have been me. I lost you again.

Not to bring in negativity, but I don't think Steve is wearing Eddie's leather jacket (yes, I'm sad about it).

I don't think Eddie's has the shoulder details and the one Steve is wearing is brown, not black??? I'm thinking it is part of whatever they get from the police station. I don't recall Steve ever having a leather jacket on and it looks a little big on him considering Steve wears fitted clothes - even his regular blue jacket fits well.

Anyway, devastated that it means at some point, Steve takes the vest off :( I know that on ST, characters will just randomly be in new clothes even though I'm like, how do they have time to get driven around by Mom Steve, go home and get changed.

BUT I NEED an exchange about the vest if he gives it back to Eddie, even if Steve just tosses it back.
