Can I request MC being overwhelmed by the brothers fighitng and slowly trying to sink under the table when Solomon comes in like a prince to whisk them away, effectively pissing off the brothers as well
Shure thing!
TW: Panic attack.
GN reader/MC.
A/N The Mc doesn't have pacts with the bros yet.  Also a little different from your request, sorry.
It was too loud, all voices bounced around the meeting hall echoing and a defining anthem of accusations, frustration, and threats effectively gluing you to your seat.  Diavolo had to step out for just a moment to retrieve some papers left in his office and when that door closed all hell broke loose.
"I still don't see why I have' ta be some damn baby sitter!"  Mammon slammed his hands on the table.  "If you want the human protected so bad why don't you just do it your self!"  He pointed his finger at Lucifer who was somehow still keeping his cool but his aura was suffocating.
"I'm far to busy helping Diavolo to be bothered to watch them, that's why it's your job."  Lucifer seethed crossing his arms and shooting a glare at Mammon.   Of course, they're talking about you as if you're not present, as if your bother that was shoved onto them.  Well, now that you think about it that's not too far off.  You're a magicless human in a world full of demons that could kill you in seconds, of course, no one wants to deal with that kind of burden.
"Levi is a shut-in that can't take care of himself!  The human would die in his care!  Asmo is a party animal that only thinks of getting his dick wet!"
Mammon snarled "If its a job then why ain't I gettin paid!"
"I'm your brother, I don't need to pay you." Lucifer hissed.  But, Mammon still persisted.
"Why not Levi or Asmo!"  he screamed, "How about Satan, what about Beel?  Fuck if Belphie was here I'd even ask him!"  It was at this point Lucifer lost his temper and shifted to demon form.  His hands slamed on the table as he stood, the flare of his wings knocking you to the side. If the eldest noticed he didn't show it.  You scooted away from the raging demon and whimpered, looking for a place to hide, anywhere that would make you feel safe.
"I know I'm a shut-in but you don't need to scream about how pathetic and gross I am!  Levi had now shifted, his tail thrashing wildly knocking chairs over.  Luckily you evaded the flying chair and made it under the table.
"How rude!  Are you trying to slut-shame me Lucifer!"  Asmo now shifted his nails digging into the table "I'll have you know my lifestyle is none of your business!"
"YOU TWO BE SILENT!" Lucifer roared.  You covered your ears and whimpered, where was Diavolo?
"Satan would end up losing his temper and killing them!" The fourth brother cut in his tail unraveled from his leg.
-Meanwhile with Solomon-
Solomon was halfway back to purgatory dorm when he felt Asmo's pact flare-up.  There were a few things that made the seal light up, one he was horny, two Asmo was horny, he was giving Asmo power or Asmo was pissed.  With a sigh, he looked at the pact expecting to see that Asmo was in the mood but was shocked when he saw the pact.  The mark was a bloody pink and glowed with a fury Asmo was pissed about something and if it was bad enough for his demon form to come out it must be pretty bad.  Solomon let out a sigh and continued to walk to his dorm, already giving up his night to lessen to the demon vent about it later tonight unless he vents to Mc.  He smirked at the thought, poor Mc, stuck listening to a blubbering angry Asmo poor, poor Mc.  Where is Mc any way?  They normally walk this way so he normally sees them except when they have student council meet- Solomon's stomach dropped and he froze in place.  Asmo's on the student council, and if he pissed then that means- "Oh fuck." Solomon dropped his back and sprinted back towards RAD.
-Back to Mc-
"Your one to talk about losing your temper!"  You heard the crash of a chair being smashed to pieces.  Your breathing started to pick up when Beel knelt down and was trying to get you out from under the table.  The only one still in human form.  You just curled up in a tighter ball, seeing that you wouldn't move on your own Beel reached out and grabbed you pulling you up.  You let out a small screech and Beel mumbled quick apologizes even in the mists of chaos still trying to be kind.
"Beel would eat them if he had the chance!"  You flinched at Lucifer's words but Beel didn't seem fazed he only shook his head at you letting you know he wouldn't.  Beel started to drag you to the door you couldn't hear what Lucifer screamed out about the final brother but that seemed to bring Beel to his boiling point.  He let go of your arm and shifted you started to back up agest the wall slowly sinking down.
"You know I could just eat you instead and be done with this!"  Beel bellowed his wings on full display in a challenging position.  Lucifer seethed even more approaching Beel with a growl.
You couldn't hear what they were saying, Levi and Mammon were yelling and holding Beel back.  Asmo was trying to calm Lucifer down but was failing miserably and Satan was trying to pull Mammon and Levi off Beel so he could attack Lucifer.  You were sobbing violently at this point you wanted to go home, you wanted to get away from these demons, this was all too much!  You jumped when you felt someone grab your arm and screamed and started hitting them until you saw it was Solomon panting, red in the face his RAD jacket gone, and hair a mess.  You reached out for him and he pulled you close.
Seconds felt like minutes and minutes felt like hours and the brothers raged on until the council door slammed open.  Diavolo flanked by Barbados walked in both wearing a look of utter disappointment.  The brothers froze and fell silent, the only thing heard in the room was your sobbing and breathing.  Diavolo walked slowly towards you both but was stopped by the barrier.  "Solomon could you take this down please."  Diavolo's normally echoing voice was a whisper.
"Can you make them stop?!" You wailed.  Solomon tucked your head under his chin and shook his head.
"I only have a Pact with Asmo if I try to stop him now things could get worse between Lucifer and Beel."  You sobbed harder and he pulled you closer and put up a defensive barrier.  He wanted to do more but he couldn't carry you out, he'd just spritted the whole way here.  There was no way he could walk you out with the way objects are being thrown, it's a medical none of them hit you.  This was all he could do, hold you, and keep a barrier up and speak words of comfort.
Solomon shook his head.   "Not till they switch back."  Solomon's voice was firm and unyielding.  Diavolo waited for a second then snapped.
"What are you seven waiting for you heard him."  His voice was level but he was close to losing control of himself.  The brothers shifted back and Solomon dropped the barrier, your sobs could be heard at full force.  Solomon took to rubbing your back and sushing you trying to get your breathing steady.  "Solomon," he looked at Diavolo, "Take Mc to purgatory dorm and notify Simeon on what has happened.  They will be in your care until further notice."  Solomon nodded and helped you to your shakey legs and started to walk you out of the destroyed room, Barbados following close behind.  Before you, both left Solomon looked over his shoulder and saw that Diavolo had shifted and was breathing quickly.  His own rage rolling off him in waves.
"It's best if you both get to dorm quickly,"  Solomon looked at Barbados, "My lord is trying very hard to hold back his rage until your both out of RAD, his yells can cause humans to lose their hearing.  So, Solomon, I give you this before you go."  Barbados's pact lit up and Solomon felt power flow into him all his strength and energy returned.  "Do hurry now, My Lord is about to blow."  With that Barbados shut and locked the door and, with Solomon's newly replenished energy and strength he quickly carried you out of RAD and to Purgatory dorm.
He passed Simeon and Luke and took you to his room and set you on the bed.  He really wasn't sure what to do, its been a long time since he's comforted, someone.   He looked so lost, you opened your arms and looked at him, hoping to get your message across.  With a small smile, he climbed in bed and held you till you fell asleep.  With you nuzzled up to his chest he made a promise to protect you and with a kiss to your forehead he sealed that promise.

So now after the long last part, we are ending our journey.
Not everything will be resolved, much of the brother’s grieving process has barely even started.
They will certainly all face their battles to come to terms with what they have lost.
At the very least our angel Mc has found most of the answers for themselves. The rest will come with time.
Here is to an ending and new beginnings.
---------------------------------------------------------
"What is going on here?" You hear Luke's voice.
"We are just discussing some important things." Lucifer waves him off.
"I'd like to ask the same question. Why are you wet and what is with Asmo keeping you steady?" Simeon looks sternly towards the brothers and keeps his eyes on Lucifer.
"I used too much mana healing Levi from a curse." You don't want Simeon to get the wrong idea.
"A curse?" Simeon looks confused.
"I think we should move somewhere else to discuss everything." Lucifer sounds exhausted.
"I'm not sure we should go anywhere with you." Simeon goes to your side while glaring at Lucifer.
"I'm okay with that." You feel that there are still things that Lucifer wants to say.
Lucifer looks at you and Simeon. Then he looks at his brothers. They all still seem very confused and sad.
"Maybe we can move that discussion to later. Just keep in mind that I haven't changed my position about you staying here. Whatever or whoever you are right now was never part of my concern. Even if you were just a normal reborn human or a demon I'd do the same thing." Lucifer states this calmly but it has so much weight that you aren't sure how to respond to that.
"You need to stop being so unreasonable." Simeon frowns at Lucifer.
"Well call me whatever you want but you don't have a patent on loving them." Lucifer glares back.
You suddenly feel like you are in the middle of a crossfire.
"Now now, we all love them but now is not the right time for this." Asmo tries to calm both men down, even when he seems pretty amused by it.
"You probably have a point." Lucifer still glares at Simeon but accepts a momentary truce.
"Everyone, we are going home. Satan cooks today and I will order ice-cream for everyone." Lucifer sighs.
Beel let's Levi go. "Finally I'm starving."
"C-can I have peanut butter flavored ice-cream?" Levi is still sobbing.
"You don't deserve any," Lucifer states coldly.
"I think he had enough for today. Just let him have the ice-cream Lucifer." You feel a bit bad for Levi, despite everything he looks very miserable.
Lucifer sighs and shrugs. "Fine, but better be thankful."
  Levi nods.
Everyone else chuckles a little bit.
"Let's go then. Have a good day and rest up." Lucifer seems to only address you.
Simeon ignores this.
"You need to help them stand, Simeon." Asmo addresses Simeon.
You feel a bit better and are about to say no when you notice that Asmo is winking at you. You smile, knowing that he just tries to be nice. He really came around.
Simeon nods and gently holds your arm, to keep you steady.
"Thank you Asmo." You mostly thank him for being a friend.
"You better give me some juicy details later, "Asmo whispers but you are pretty sure that Simeon can still hear him.
The brothers walk-off, being oddly quiet.
Luke sighs. "What was that about?"
"I think they have a lot to think about." Simeon isn't fully sure either.
"I said it to the others but you don't have to worry about this angel and Mc being the same at all anymore. So my work is done. I have a dinner invitation from Diavolo. How about joining me, Luke?" Solomon seems nonchalant as always.
"Huh, why would I want to have dinner with you?" Luke is genuinely confused.
"We have a lot to catch up on." Solomon shrugs and whispers something to Luke. Realization seems to hit him. "Ahhh, yeah we have sooo much to talk about. Don't wait for me, you two." Luke overacts way too much.
It's pretty suspicious.
"Alright have fun, Luke." Simeon just accepts this without any further questions.
You wonder what this about but think that he just wants to give you some space.
"If you wish you can stay at the castle tonight. We have free rooms." Barbatos offers in a very kind manner, even when he just seemingly appeared out of thin air.
"Would that be better for you?" Simeon is worried about your condition.
"A bit of rest sounds great, to be honest, but I don't want to bother anyone." You admit a bit weakly.
"You are no bother. After all the hassle that the brothers have caused you. My lord simply desires to offer you some hospitality. In the hopes that you won't think badly of the devildom as a whole." Barbatos speaks in a very polite manner but it's easy to tell that he means his words.
"I think the devildom is a pretty great place overall. Everyone is very kind to me." You don't have any ill feelings in particular.
Barbatos smiles in a kind manner. "I'm glad to hear that. Lord Diavolo will be delighted to hear that. I suppose this is right for you as well, Simeon?"
"Sure, I have no issues with this." Simeon seems to be mostly concerned about you.
Barbatos nods and then shows you two to a room. It's very nice, with a comfortable couch and a large bed.
Simeon helps you to sit comfortably on the couch.
"Thank you Barbatos." You give him a grateful smile. Now where you sit you start to feel how tired you are.
Barbatos hands you a towel. "There are some clothes on the bed, please feel free to use them."
You rub your hair to dry it some more. "Thank you. My clothes are actually dry now. I had this magical stone to warm me up." You are grateful for that.
"Very well then I will leave you alone. Just call if you need anything from me." Barbatos bows and leaves the room.
Simeon sighs and then takes a blanket from the bed. "You should wrap yourself with this."
You nod and carefully place Lucifer's cape on the side.
The blanket feels nice. Simeon also pours you some tea. He still seems a bit uneasy but patiently waits for you to talk.
After drinking a bit you start the story. "So Levi got us all stuck in a game. Then he got upset and flooded everything. Lucifer saved me. Then Levi came to fight us all, but I think that was because of that cursed armor. I healed him and we all came back here. That's why I was so wet."
Simeon raises his eyebrows. He sighs. "They tend to cause problems. I'm just glad that you are unharmed. You should be careful. I'm also a bit sad that I didn't get to see you in action. I bet that was amazing." He smiles a bit.
You blush. "It wasn't that great."
Simeon chuckles lightly.
"When we came back here Solomon just dropped that I'm artificially made. I mean it's better than being made off... Well you know. So that means I have no sealed memories. I only share Mc's soul and their looks. I'm still not quite sure how to feel about all of that." You look into your cup.
Simeon is quiet for a moment. Thinking about his words. Then he gets up from his seat and hugs you. It's very unexpected but it feels nice.
He is so warm, you hug him back.
"You can take your time to figure it all out." He softly whispers.
"I think I'm glad that I'm not someone else. That sounds pretty selfish doesn't it?" You aren't sure if relief is something you should feel right now.
"I'm glad that you are you, and it's not selfish for you to wish to be yourself. I also think that they were unreasonable to ask this of you in the first place." Simeon sits down next to you.
This feels better than having him across from you.
"What did Michael say?" You aren't sure what to add to Simeon's words and you still need to know about that.
"He skirts around a concrete answer so we are staying in the devildom for now. Well, they won't force us back. So conflict has been averted for now. I hope you are okay with staying here after all of this?" Simeon was hoping for a better answer, for your sake.
"I kinda like the devildom, even when I could use about 60 percent less drama. I was actually thinking of getting a haircut and a makeover or something. I kinda want to look different, you know. It's been pretty hard looking at myself lately." You aren't quite sure what you exactly want to change but it sounds good.
"Hmm, maybe some shorter hair would look good on you. You could also just dye it pink." Simeon chuckles a bit.
You puff your cheeks. "Simeon I'm being serious here!"
He laughs. "I know I'm sorry. I think you will look great in the end no matter what."
You shake your head. "You are such a tease sometimes, but it's kinda nice to see you like this."
"You want to be teased?" He grins.
"No, I don't! I just mean it's nice seeing you so casual." You blush a little.
"Ah, I see. I guess I was pretty formal lately. I will do better from now on." Simeon has to agree.
"I look forward to that." You smile. Suddenly you remember and almost jump up, slightly startling Simeon.
"I completely forgot about the cookies I made you. I'm sure they are ruined now…" You rummage in your pocket and find the bag. It miraculously survived.
You pull it out. "It survived!" You say gleefully.
"These must be pretty special." Simeon gently looks at the bag.
You nod and hand him the bag.
He curiously opens it, the cookies are all broken. You look at the sight with pain. Too bad now Simeon will never guess their meaning.
Simeon looks curiously at the crumps in his hand. "Were these heart-shaped?"
"They were… Luke told me that humans use this shape to express their love." You feel suddenly very embarrassed.
Simeon smiles at you. "Thank you very much I appreciate them." He eats one of the cookies, with great delight.
Simeon doesn't mind at all that they all got broken.
You feel great relief. "I'm truly grateful I have you. Without your support, I would have never come this far."
"I'm sure you would have managed just fine without me but I'm glad that I can be your support." Simeon gently smiles. Conveying his sincere admiration for you.
"I'm not done, let me finish." There is probably not enough time in the universe to tell him everything that is in your mind.
Simeon nods.
"You have been my mentor for a long time and then my friend for probably the same amount of time. I think I have known for longer but I was just denying it but you aren't just a friend to me anymore. Despite all of this chaos around me, there was something that became crystal clear to me. No matter what might happens next I want you to be at my side. Not only as a friend but as the person who I love with all my heart." You lay it all right in front of Simeon. Finally admitting your feelings not only to yourself but most importantly to Simeon.
He seems slightly surprised by your confession. "Do you mean romantically?" Simeon wants to prevent any further confusion.
"Yes." You state clearly without a second of hesitation.
Simeon takes your hand and he has a smile that you have never seen before. He is so radiant right now. "I'm so glad that you feel the same way about me."
It's almost like a dam has been broken. Emotions seem to be flowing from Simeon.
You can see a slight blush on his cheeks.
Your cheeks blush in turn.
He leans his forward towards yours and looks deep into your eyes.
He has never been this close to you. Your heart starts to race.
Never before in your life did you want to kiss someone this badly.
Your nose’s touch. Simeon looks at you with such love. You can only hope that the same love is reflected in your eyes.
After a moment that feels like an eternity your lips meet only for a short moment.
Then again a bit longer this time.
Both of you seem to want more of that sweet sensation.
The next kiss feels more passionate.
It's all so new but yet strangely familiar.
You are so glad that you finally told Simeon your feelings.
With a gentle and happy smile, Simeon looks at you. "I'm so glad you came into my life."
These words mean so much to you, you feel tears in your eyes.
"It's alright. I'm here." Simeon whispers.
And then suddenly tears start to fall. You don't even know why you are crying, or who you are crying for.
It's not even a feeling of sadness.
It feels freeing, like all the weight that has been building up inside of you is flowing from your body.
You cling to Simeon and just sob, like a child.
He gently holds you close and just supports you without a word.
"I love you, Simeon." You weakly tell him between sobbing.
You probably look very ugly right now but Simeon however looks at you with his gentle gaze. "I love you too."
  --------------------
This was all very bittersweet.
Some parts really hurt while writing them.
Other parts made me smile.
I hope you enjoyed the story and its ending.
As a final note, I really like the fact that Mc got many people supporting them and Simeon.
A huge note to all of you Simeon and Angel Mc shippers, it's all thanks to you.

“I...want to be loved.” He looked at her with wide eyes and a pained expression. Her tear-streaked cheeks and red puffy eyes made his heart ache. She didn’t feel loved? Why, that couldn’t possibly be farther from the truth! In fact, she was most likely the most beloved being in all the three realms. Yet, (MC) didn’t feel as such. It was a bit bewildering, walking in on her shaking a bit as she hid her face in her knees. Asmodeus wasn’t quite sure on how to handle this situation, but he did know that he had to stay by her side for now.
“But, dear, you are loved.” He gently embraced her, allowing (MC) to rest her head on his shoulder. Her sobs quieted down a bit, but there would be a small sniffle here and there. “I’d even go so far as to say that you’re more loved than yours truly.” He jokingly struck a small cutesy pose, causing (MC) to softly giggle.
“That’s not true though,” she sighed and snuggled in closer to which Asmo happily accepted. He snaked an arm around her waist and pulled her in until she was resting on his chest. Well, that remark certainly caught his attention. He remained quiet, motioning for her to continue on. “You’re the Avatar of Lust. I’m sure everyone wants you.” She bit her bottom lip and squeezed her hand, allowing for a few moments of silence to let everything sink in. “I’m...just a lowly human. Everyone here just sees me as just that, nothing more. All the demons want me just for my soul, Simeon and Luke feel an obligation to watch over me, and even Solomon. Everyone here is just so...so powerful, but I have nothing. I have no powers, no charisma, just nothing.”
“Oh (MC),” he sighed, giving her a brief squeeze while twirling a strand of her hair. “You don’t know just how wrong you are.” It came out in a bit of a sing-song voice, a bit teasing if you will, which confused and angered (MC) just a little. He caught on to this and quickly explained. “You might not have any grandiose powers like everyone else, but you’re always surprising everyone you know. When you first came to the Devildom, I was a bit shocked when my powers wouldn’t work on you, proof that you are indeed special.” He saw (MC) smile at the memory, which made him all the more happier. Cheering up (MC) was his utmost priority, and it seemed like it was working. “You’re special in your own way.”
“Like what?”
“Hm, well for starters, you’re always sticking your nose into where it doesn’t belong.” Asmo proceeded to gently ‘boop’ her nose which resulted in a pout from her. “But that didn’t turn out to be such a bad thing. I mean, you did reunite us brothers and solved that dreadful family issue.” He began to stroke her hair, feeling (MC) melt under his warm touch. Asmo couldn’t help but smile. “You also were able to summon me in my demon form. Not even Solomon was able to achieve that feat.”
“I remember that. That’s when you finally started paying attention to me.”
“Hey, let’s not get ahead of ourselves.” (MC) stuck her tongue out at him and proceeded to laugh. A genuine, beautiful laugh. It was so loud yet contagious, and although her stained red cheeks and red eyes remained, (MC) seemed much more relaxed now. Asmo, too, felt himself much more at peace.
“I guess you’re right about that, but it’s not like anyone loves me. I’m just a bother to everyone. Even if I’m special, what’s the point if no one can stand being around me?” That bright smiling face now turned crestfallen, and there was a slight crack to her voice, as if she was going to burst into tears any minute. “You’re always loved, no matter where you go. I wish I could be as popular as you.”
“Dear, you’re wrong if you think that.” Now it was (MC)’s turn to act surprised. Come on now. There was no way that the demons didn’t like Asmo. He was just too loveable in his own kinda way. I mean, what’s there not to love? He may be a bit flamboyant and narcissistic at times, but Asmo was a great friend when need be. “You know, I don’t really like to talk about this but.” She heard him sigh before continuing on, a bit intrigued as to where this was going. “Sometimes I don’t feel loved, similar to you. I mean, yeah I’m good looking and all, but I feel like that’s the only thing that everyone sees. They just see me as an object, something to be infatuated with, a person to fulfill their desires.” Now he was getting a bit teary-eyed but wouldn’t dare show that to (MC). “I...I just want some genuine love and affection sometimes.”
The atmosphere turned rather tense and awkward, both of them not knowing what to say. Yes, Asmo may be the flamboyant demon we all know and love, but he wasn’t necessarily the best when it came to this kinda stuff. He was the one to break the ice, trying to laugh off any tension and quickly following up with a “but this is about you not me” remark.
“You know, if you ever just need to cuddle and feel loved you can always come to me.” (MC) averted her eyes and began to trace shapes on his shirt. “I love you, so even if it seems like no one else does, I’m always here for you, got it?” Well now, she couldn’t just come at Asmo’s heart like this. Ah, she was just too precious.
“Hm, you know the same thing could be said to you. You may think that no one loves you, but I assure you that there is many out there who worry and care for you.” He cupped her face and brought it a bit too uncomfortably close, close enough to evade on your personal space. He paid no mind to the blush coloring her cheeks, finding it adorable. “I love you too you know, and I should’ve been the first one to say that.” Asmo pouted but then broke out into a smile. “You need to have more self-confidence though, so promise me that you’ll work on that ok?”
“Ok, but only if you promise the same thing. We have to both look out for each other.”
“Agreed, but only if you give me a kiss to seal the deal.” Asmo winked to which (MC) rolled her eyes but complied, placing a quick kiss on his lips which he didn’t really expect. He was half-joking, of course, but I mean, if she did want to kiss him he didn’t really mind. The only drawback was that a small kiss wasn’t nearly enough to satisfy his desires, but it’d make do for now. After all, the two were still rather new to this relationship thing, and Asmo wasn’t going to make her uncomfortable. “That’s not fair! I wasn’t ready, do it again.” His childish pout made her laugh, but nonetheless (MC) kissed him again.
“There, satisfied now?”
“Hm, well, if you want to continue this further and-”
“Nuh-uh, absolutely not. Not right now anyway.”
“Aw, you’re no fun.”

Chapter 10
I gripped my wand in my free hand, Lily’s magic managed to heal the magic wood used for making wands. Our magic was pouring and mixing with one another to help strengthen the barrier that we had put up. There was a booming sound that sounded eerily similar to that of thunder following a flash of lightning; a beam of darkness was shot at us. I gritted my teeth as I focused all of my magic into the barrier which was draining me rather quickly to the point where my stamina was waning. I looked over to see that Lily was struggling as well. Her magic was becoming unstable as the beam came into contact with our barrier.
Time seemed to slow down as the next events unfolded. I watched with worry as cracks began to form in the barrier until finally it could take no more. The beam of light had become smaller as if it was aiming for someone and had been the whole time. That someone….was me. Or well...it would have been, but at the last moment, right before the beam was about to strike me, Lily had pushed me out of the way, taking the attack in my place.
I watched in horror and let out a scream when it hit her directly in her stomach, sending her tumbling to the ground with a cry. Using what strength she could muster, she managed to sit herself upright, holding her hand against where the beam had pierced her. I immediately moved myself to her side, allowing her to use me to keep herself upright without falling over.
“Lily, your...your stomach…” Wisps of dark smoke were forming and began to engulf her body, starting with her lower half and slowly working upwards.
Lily kept her calm and looked at me. “It seems that the magic really taints one’s soul...”
“What does that mean? What’s going to happen to you?”
“I don’t know…” She paused while holding up her hands. “To be honest, I’m scared. I can feel the darkness crawl up my skin. I-It’s so cold and filled with such malice.” Tears rolled down her cheeks as she cupped my own. “I’m afraid this is where we must part.”
“Part? What do you mean part? Lily, what are you saying?!”
“I kept my promise to you.” She smiled through the tears. “I promised to never let the darkness touch you and I’m so glad I...I got to protect you. But the darkness, it will soon swallow me up. If that happens who knows what I’ll-”
“Stop it! Don’t say things like that! You’re going to be fine! We’ll get back home and wake the others up, we can’t give up hope- mmfph!”
I was cut off by Lily, who had pressed her lips against mine tenderly. The kiss was short but even so, I could feel such warmth and love, all of her feelings were being transferred through this single kiss, and when she pulled away I could feel my heart shatter. The look in her eyes, I knew this really was goodbye, but I didn’t want to believe it, not for a single second! This can’t be how things end!”
“Lily…”
“I love you.” She choked on her words as she embraced me. Her horns and palms began to glow and I saw a bright light begin to engulf my body.
“W-What are you doing?!”
“Getting you away from here before it’s too late. I want you to be safe and live your life. You have...you have to move on and forget me because…” Her words became more and more inaudible as she began sobbing harder. “The next time we meet, you and I will be enemies.”
When she looked at me, her eyes lost their colour, in fact, everything within her dulled. I could sense no feelings whatsoever, she was like a mindless puppet who could do nothing without someone pulling on the strings. The scene was so heart wrenching that the tears began to fall more steadily now. I cried out to her, calling her name over and over as I watched Lily, the one I love, be plunged into darkness along with the rest of my vision as I was teleported away from the scene.
I was back near the center town of Solomon, on the outskirts to be precise. My fist came into contact multiple times as I slammed them down again and again out of frustration. How could this happen? Tears still spilled down my cheeks as I picked myself off from the ground. My vision was still blurry, no matter how many times I wiped my eyes. I had to keep going, I had to go and wake up Willem, Felix and Lacan, if I did, then maybe just maybe there was a chance to save Lily. My chest swelled with sadness and determination as I set out on the goal I had set. I didn’t even care about the provisional trial anymore, I just needed to save her.
I had just started walking when I could feel a presence from behind me. When I looked over, I could see Fenrir, he wore a solemn expression and didn’t even bother to look at me.
“You’re going to try and save her, right?”
I grabbed my wand and whipped around to face him. “That’s right and if you try to stop me then I’ll-”
“There’s no need for that. I don’t like fighting and besides, I want to save Lily just as much as you might. Along with someone else…” Fenrir sighed. “But you’re not going to be able to save her by yourself. Adonis is much to powerful to go up against alone.”
“So...Adonis is going to hold her captive...if he hurts her so help me…”
“He won’t...well, as long as she obeys him. Lily is something sacred, something he wanted. Her power as the last Zirnitra in this world and the fact that one of the seals, the Seal of Life was actually inside of her all along, well….he’d never put her in harm because of that.”
“I can’t let him treat her like that, like she’s just some tool!”
“Ten do something about it.” Fenrir folded his arms over his chest, his pulled-up hair blew in the breeze as he now looked at me. “Go get the others and maybe you’ll have a chance.”
“But the others, we...we never got the things to wake them up.”
“They never would have anyways. The curse on them was linked to Lily’s own curse. The tampered Belladonna leaves were covered in what I call, chaos. Lily’s curse broke, so theirs have as well. Although, don’t count on them waking up immediately.”
Fenrir grabbed out a small gem, just like the one he used to summon the chimera that had attacked Lily and I, and threw it to the ground where it shattered. A summoning circle appeared and he began to put distance between it and himself.
“This will take you back to the train station in Gedonelune. You’ll be waiting a few hours until the next train to Gedonelune departs from here, by that time, Adonis might find you. After all, he doesn’t take kindly to people who interfere with his plans.”
“Fenrir-”
“Don’t thank me. Don’t say another word, just...go.”
I took a deep breath before running towards the summoning circle and jumping in. I was scared….what if things don’t work out? What if I can’t save Lily? No, I can’t start having these thoughts, especially not now.
“Just hang on, Lily..I’m going to save you!”

[AKA. Guess who wrote some ducking angst? :D]
Tumblr media
“Yo Oliver, get Sylvia out of here now!”
Mammon and his brothers had to restrain Lucifer from attacking Sylvia as Oliver grabbed her by the wrist and rushed her out of the study room and up the stairs to the hallway; the two were able to momentarily catch their breath as the violet-eyed young man looked to his companion. He can see how rattled she was, tears streaming down her cheeks, as he made his way to give her a comfort hug- not too tight, but not too loose. “Are you alright, Sylvia?”
She shook her head as she let out a choked sob, mumbling an apology over and over again. “It’s all my fault.” Sylvia croaked as her grip tightened on his shirt. “It’s- it’s all my fault.”
Oliver’s brows scrunched up, confused at what she was talking about as he pulled back. “You can explain to me what happened when we get out of this house, I’m taking you to Purgatory Hall and I can see if you can stay with Solomon and I until this exchange program is over. Okay?”
With a nod she looked over to the empty hallway but soon made eye contact with a familiar face, someone that she didn’t expect to meet; “Belphie?”
“ ‘Belphie’?” Oliver followed her gaze over to the seventh-born demon, a million questions racing through his head; the more prominent question being ‘I thought he’s still in the human world, why is he here?’. His gaze didn’t leave Belphegor’s watching him approach the two, the navy blue cow tail swishing back and forth and bobbing his head some- only two of the many key signs of aggression  that can be akin to a territorial bull.
Sylvia on the other hand had her own question, “How did you get out of the attic Belphie? I only made three pacts, I shouldn’t be able to--”
“Don’t call me that.” The seventh-born’s growling tone was enough to silence the pink-haired human, “You will address me as Belphegor and nothing else; it doesn’t matter how I got out, I’m free- finally free... and I can get rid of the humans that took Her from us.”,  the Avatar of Sloth scraping his foot on the carpet as he readied himself, “Starting with the both of you.”
“Sylvia,” Oliver whispered to grab her attention, keeping his eyes on Belphegor as he let go of her, “back away as slowly as you can- don’t run, don’t turn your back on him, just. walk.” With that he took careful steps backwards with Sylvia, but with each step back Belphegor took three more forward until before either one could blink he went into a full-on run. The black and silver-haired man could only have had enough time to shove Sylvia out of the way before the youngest demon headbutted him to the side and into the wall.
“OLIVER!!” She could only watch her human friend slid his back against the wall and onto the ground in a sitting position, seeing his hand pressed against his side. Sylvia looked to Belphegor, seeing the lack of care nor sympathy in his exposed violet eye as she pleaded, “Belphi-”, she caught herself as she can see his eye staring her tear-stricken face like she was prey, “Belphegor I don’t understand, you said that you wanted to make amends with Lucifer, why are you doing this?!”
Belphegor could only let out a chuckle then laughed maniacally as he watched the human shudder in fear. “You honestly believed me? Me, a DEMON! Whatever happened to you not trusting me? Hm~? What ever happened to hating me Human; hating my GUTS because I’m nothing more than a liar to you?”
She let out a soft gasp and fell silent, turning her head away as she felt her cheeks burn up- she hated to admit it, but she found herself falling for this demon the more she spent some time with him; she didn’t intend to, it just… happened. But before she could tell him she watched him turn his full attention to her, a sadistic grin plastered across his face, and she heard him utter two words that got her skin crawling:
   “You’re next.”
Belphegor made a lung but soon felt something tie and tug on both of his legs enough to make him fall face-first to the ground, turning his head to see Oliver holding onto them for dear life. “Why you…!” Like that he began to try and free himself, using both his feet to try and kick Oliver off of him, unaware that it gave Sylvia the opportunity to ponder and gather enough courage to try using the Lavender fairy’s power onto a demon.
   “BELPHEGOR!!”
Right as he turned to face Sylvia he felt three fingers tapped against his forehead harshly and he could feel himself froze out of confusion and… calm? Why... why is he feeling calm? Her action had only pissed him off more, more-so our of confusion and frustration.
“Come on Oliver, we got to go!” Sylvia helped Oliver up on his feet after he let go of the demon’s legs. Helping her human friend up on his feet she heard Belphegor mumbling something and it wasn’t until he spoke up loud enough for her to hear him say:
“What- what did you do to me?!”
Oliver heard it as well and he knew that it won’t be long until Belphegor would lash out again. But as he took a step he felt a sting of pain shoot through his side, causing him to flinch and hiss in pain; he looked to his side that Belphegor rammed into and noticed that his side was bleeding out. “Dammit,” Oliver swore, placing his hand to where the wound is at, “The tip of that horn of his must have punctured my side.” Looking back at Sylvia his violet eyes met hers, and he can tell that she’s scared for her life, and he is too. “Sylv”, the black and silver-haired human placed his free hand onto her shoulder and with a serious gaze he told her, “you need to get out of here, run as far away from this house as you can and don’t look back.”
“But- But Oliver, no! If you stay you’ll die!”
“Hey now, don’t worry about me,” Oliver gave her a reassuring smile as he ruffled her pink hair, “I’ll be fine.”
“LIKE BULLSHIT YOU’LL BE FINE!” Sylvia retorted, causing Oiver to flinch at her outburst, “You’re my friend Oliver, you’ve helped me stay sane throughout this fucking exchange program and now you’re just going to throw your life away?! What about your grandpare--?”
Their talk was interrupted when out of the blue Belphegor regained himself enough to grab Oliver by the back of his neck, earning a shrilling scream from Sylvia.
“SYLVIA, RUN!” Oliver shouted while attempting to break himself free from his grasp.
Out of options and in full on fight-or-flight mode, fresh hot tears fell from her emerald eyes as she turned and made a run for it, hearing more commotion and of Oliver screaming in pain behind her. Her lungs began to feel like it was on fire as she stopped by the top of the stairs, heaving for air. She’s too scared to look back, afraid that if she did then Belphegor would be standing right behind her and would be done for; Sylvia can feel her legs trembling and threaten to collapse on her, but she has to get out- out of his Hellish home.    “Fuck it!” She mustered out as she made her way down, but right as she was about at the end her feet tripped over herself- forcing her to seal her eyes shut to prep herself for the impact… it never came. She felt something holding her, but she was too afraid to open them until she heard a familiar voice call out her name.
“Sylv?! Sylvia dammit, you better open your eyes or I’mma make you!”
“Ma- Mammon…?” Hesitantly she opened her eyes to see the worried demon heave a sigh of relief.
“Don’t scare me like that you stupid Human, hearing you scream like that from down here I thought you dyin’.” He helped stand her up right but had to catch her again as she pretty much collapsed in his arms. “Woah there! Are you actually hurt or somethin’?? I was just makin’ a joke!” His blue and gold eyes scanned her to see no injuries, but her breathing was as if she ran a marathon, her scleras puffy red from crying, her arms and shoulders shaking like an autumn leaf against the breeze; her current condition screams ‘Help me!’, which worried him greatly.
Without a moment to lose she grabbed Mammon by the sleeves of his coat and begged, “Please, you got to help him!”
   “Who?!”
   “Oliver you dumbass!”
    “Oliver??”
   “Yes!”
“What do you mean??” He then watched her rambling over something, but she was speaking so quickly and incoherently that he was having a hard time understanding what she was saying. His silver-color brows scrunch up as he gently patted her cheek to get her to stop, which worked. “Now then Sylvia, what the fuck is going on, what is happening to Oliver?” But now all he got out of her was silence, which didn’t help matters either but he was able to help her up and move her to the couch, sitting her down as he was unsure how to comfort her now.
“Mammon, why is she still here?” The second-eldest looked over and saw Satan and Leviathan rush over, the former immediately rushing to her side to try and calm her down as the latter rubbed his head as he added, “I think we managed to calm Lucifer down, keyword being ‘think’.”
“Good”, Mammon rubbed the back of his head as he heavily sighed, “and as for your question that’s what I’m tryin’ to figure out; she mentioned something about Oliver, but she wouldn’t explain properly! She would either talk too quickly or fell silent- like what she’s doing right now.”
While Mammon and Leviathan talked among themselves Sylvia’s gaze went to how Satan was holding her trembling hand with both of his, still scared to meet his gaze; only letting their words go in one ear and out the other as the stress between Lucifer finding out about her meetings with Belphegor in the attic, and the latter attacking her and Oliver all within the same hour? Sylvia used her free hand to run her fingers through her bangs, exhaling a shaky breath, as her eyes finally met Satan’s- she never saw the Avatar of Wrath, a demon who in mythology was considered to be the most evil and one to be terrified of, to look so worried for a mortal like her.    Sylvia gave him a small yet reassuring smiling to at least ease his worries, even for a little bit, as she heard soft footsteps just above them, her eyes looking up as her gaze soon went from one of fake reassurance to utter horror upon what she saw, letting out a shrill as if she was being murdered and stumbling off the couch.
“Sylvia, calm down!” Satan quickly rushed over to her trying in vain to calm her down, catching glimpse of Levi and Mammon looking up in just as much shock as she was- the rest of the remaining brothers rushing over after they heard Sylvia scream bloody murder. The fourth-born noticed that all five of his brothers were looking at the same thing she was and their reactions were just the same, if not more.    His curiosity soon got the best of him as he looked over to the walkway above and if he were human he could feel his blood run cold as one word managed to struggle out of his speechless maw: “No... Oliver…”
The young man looked horrendous, it was as if he was attacked by Cerberus; bangs covered the top half of his face so where you can’t see his eyes, blood covering most of his jaw, his clothes tattered, no words can describe how awful his condition was; and it didn’t help when he reached his right hand out to nothing, his ring and middle finger looked to be ripped out of his hand- not even nubs of them were left, as his mouth tried to make some sort of noise, as if calling for someone. Before anyone could blink Oliver leaned in too far and he fell forward and everyone cringed at the sound of the body slamming against the floor in front of them.
Mammon was the first to rush over to him, checking for any sign of life and rolling him over to his back- yelping in shock upon seeing why the bangs were covering his face- “WHERE THE FUCK ARE HIS EYES?!”
“His what?!” Mammon’s comment threw her over the edge as she tried in vain to go over to her human friend, “OLIVER!!”’
Satan had to restrain Sylvia from going over there, even having to call onto Beel for help.
The Avatar of Gluttony wasted no time in rushing over and with his strength moved her away to where the rest of his brothers are, and to turn her to face him and keep her from looking back- hearing her screaming and sobs broke his heart, but he can’t let her see anymore of what was going on.
Satan went over to Mammon, ushering his second-eldest brother to join Beel in trying to calm Sylvia down, as he checked for a pulse... The atmosphere was tense, no sound aside from Sylvia’s sobs echoing the large house as it took every ounce of willpower within him to not either break down or lose himself to his own sin. He swallowed a lump in his throat as he turned his head to his brothers, a look of sorrow ever-so-present as he confirmed their suspicions with a shook of his head, unable to bring himself to say that Oliver Smith’s soul had passed on.
Belphegor, having changed back to his human form, finally made his way to the entrance hall, his clothes and face covered in Oliver’s blood as he watched the scene unfold; his brothers mourning over the loss of one of the despicable humans that destroyed his family. One-by-one he watched his brothers grieve for the loss of that one human and the other in his twin’s arms, a disgusting traitorous sight, but seeing her gave him a small ache- he knows what that feeling is and it disgusts him that he would feel any sort of romantic feelings for a human of all creatures. He hoped that if he can kill her too then this ugly feeling would finally go away, the thought was enough for him to let out a chuckle before throwing himself into an all-out maniacal laughter that got all his brother’s and Sylvia’s attention- not like he ever cared to begin with.    “You all look like such fools.”, Belphie descended from the stairs, “A human is already dead and here you all are panicking as if it’s the end of the world.
Lucifer’s expressions went from shock to anger, hand-motioning Beelzebub to hide Sylvia behind him as he confronted his young brother, the demon of Sloth, the murderer; “Belphegor…”

Part 6
Loat and found
---Temple of Dalmasca---
Ja'far, Masrur and Yamraiha decided to give the other two a moment alone and made their way up the stairs to the entrance hall. All three pondered over their own thoughts for a while until the red-haired exgladiator spoke to the other man: "Ja'far, you think too loudly. "Blushing, the young man lifted his sleeve over his freckled nose before giving in and sighing loudly:"I only process all the information we received today. This whole thing is even more extensive and complicated than I feared."
Yamraiha running behind them hummed in agreement. "This whole situation raises more questions than it actually answers. What do you think of all this 'the reader of the waves is able to shape fate'? It is incredible, but somehow it doesn't sound wrong to my ears.", the magician interjected. "As I said, the situation is really extensive. And this whole thing with the reader of the waves and listener of the rukh is difficult to process. But to be honest, we have all been following Sinbad for a long time and have a clue what he is capable of, so I shouldn't be surprised at all anymore.",Ja'far confirmed, while holding his temples exhausted.
"What worries me is that we now have two of the kind. Salome is not Sinbad, but I have a feeling that she has a huge target on her back with such skills.", mused the king's adviser, receiving an approving murmur from his companions.
"Then we'll protect her!", Masrur decided matter of factually. A thoughtful silence spread again through the three generals as they continued to walk the corridor, the exit already in sight.
"She will be a great asset to Sindria. A second kings-canditate and that Djinn of hers is actually overly powerful. Almost worryingly strong. A leap through time and that through several years... You might thinkit is she who bends fate according to her will! I'm excited to see what she can do with the powers of the Djinn.", Yamraiha thought aloud when they finally entered the petrified hall.
Masrur stopped abruptly and switched to a defensive stance. Alerted, his companions followed his example when an angry voice suddenly echoed through the room.
"How dare you to enter the holy halls of Solomon's temple? No stranger is authorized to set a foot onto this sacred ground. You broke the seal and defiled this place with your unworthiness!"
At all male stood with spread legs in the entrance to the temple, his hand resting on the handle of a sword attached to his waist. The light that fell from there into the hall dazzled around him, so that the figure, who was mostly wearing dark clothes, was wrapped in shadows. A black hood was pulled deep into his face and hid his features. The most shocking, however, were the huge glowing wings that spread behind his back. With a single leap the man swung himself into the air, drew his sword and pointed the shiny blade in the direction of the generals.
"I will now lead you to your creator, intruders! Begone! Sacra Ilumini!", growled the flying figure, when suddenly the tip of his blade began to glow dangerously.
"Careful! I've got this! Shallal!", Yamraiha shouted as she focused on concentrating her magoi. A blazing beam of light came from the opponent's sword and raced towards the three generals, but before it could hit, a wall of gasified water spread around them and successfully blocked the attack. The collision of the two elements erupted a strong pressure wave. While the smoke continued to successfully envelop the three generals, they had the opportunity to start a counterattack. Ja'far loosened his darts, which were attached to robes from his arms and ran out of the mist to throw his weapons at the enemy from the side. Without effort he evaded the attack but turned his head too late as Masrur directly jumped out of the mist and aimed a kick at him. With the force the Fanalis had given in the kick, he made sure that the winged figure crashed into the opposite wall. Yamraiha rose in the air and summoned a jet of water which she aimed at the opponent. Too late she discovered the grin that spread over the man's lips when he suddenly vanished into thin air. Alerted, the three generals stood back to back and scanned the area.
"Not bad, but that won't save you!", said the man with a grim, appreciative voice when he appeared again above them. Light flickered around him as he pointed the sword at them just like the other time.
Realization glowed in Ja'far's eyes as the light illuminated the face of the flying man, whose top half was covered with a golden mask. On the visible areas of his skin, golden veins crossed over the flesh. Taking a step forward, Ja'far held his arms over his head in defense before protesting loudly: "Wait, this spell. You are Salome's brother! We are not your enemies!"
The man landed at lightning speed in front of the king's adviser, grabbed him by the collar and pressed the blade of his sword against his neck.
"Lies! How dare you say that name?", growled the man, gritting his teeth angrily. Masrur and Yamraiha aimed their weapons at the winged man, who trembled with adrenaline. Rapid steps echoed from the corridor behind them when suddenly a couple came hurrying into the hall followed by a huge crowd of rukh. Shocked, the enemy froze as he looked over the white-haired man's shoulder. Sinbad, who analyzed the situation directly, pushed the girl behind his back to shield her, while he resolutely reached for the handle of his scimitar. The young woman gasped as she stared wide-eyed at the scene. The unknown man's grip loosened around Ja'far's collar, his hood slipped off his head and revealed brown hair that was streaked with glimmering blond strands that was tied into a short tail at the back of his head. His lips lost the angry expression and opened to an incredulous tremor. With wide eyes, the girl raised a hand in front of her lips in shock as she stared at the masked man as if he were a ghost.
"M-Malik?", came Salome's trembling voice, half-hidden behind Sinbad. Her fingers gripped the purple-haired man's upper arm as she took a step to the side to better see the people in front of her.
"S-Salome?", breathed the addressed man hoarsely as the air escaped from his lungs. He dropped Ja'far completely, while the generals also lowered their weapons a little. Tears shot into the girl's eyes as she stared at the young adult. Was it really her little brother? He looked completely different and so much older now. But why else should the Rukh whisper her brother's name? With trembling legs she stepped past Sinbad, who grabbed her arm in protest and tried to stop her. "Don't touch her, you bastard!", Malik shouted, who misinterpreted the gesture, jumped forward and began to pounce on the king. A blink of an eye later, metal crashed against metal as the blades of the two men crossed. Sinbad held Salome away from the swords as he grimly looked at Malik's face, which was half covered by the mask. Like Alexander's helmet, there were no slits for his eyes, but that didn't seem to affect the winged man's vision.
"If I were you, I would put the sword away before you seriously hurt anyone!", Sinbad advised nonchalantly, but his gaze remained serious.
"If I were you, I would let go of my sister!", the man growled back as he shifted his weight to apply more pressure.
"Sinbad! Malik! Stop, please!", gasped Salome, trying to tear herself away from Sinbad, who kept her out of the reach of the other man to avoid getting her too close to the crossed swords. The generals got ready to support Sinbad, but paused when they saw their king's negative shook.
"Malik, Sinbad is the reader of the waves. He came and brought me here. Please, drop your weapon!", Salome called panicked. This seemed to trigger something in the man and made him take a step back from the couple. The sword he held in his hands clattered to the ground, as he stared at Salome and Sinbad. The moment Sinbad loosened his grip on Salome's arm, she ran past him and pushed herself against her brother's chest, crying. He looked down at the girl in shock, not quite understanding what was going on in front of him. With trembling hands, he grabbed his sister's upper arms and squeezed them gently to make sure she was real.
"S-Salome! You ..." he croaked before his voice cracked. Salome sobbed sorrowfully on his chest as she clung to him.
"You live ... you live! What just happened? Why are you looking like this?", she cried, burying her face in his dark clothes.
"He assimilated!", Sinbad concluded, answering for Malik, who didn't seem to be able to get a word out. Salome released her tear-stained face from her brother's chest to look at him. Her lips trembled desperately as she raised her fingers to Malik's face and carefully stroked over the golden veins before reaching for the mask. Malik immediately raised his hands and grabbed her wrists.
"Don't!", he pressed out, facing her.
"Why not? Let me see your entire face! I don't understand. What does assimilated mean? Why do you look like that?", she sobbed as she tried to free her hands from his grip. A grim expression went over his lips as he gripped harder, careful not to hurt her.
"Stop it, Salome. I'll explain it to you!", her brother answered harshly as he pressed her hands down. Immediately Salome stopped fighting and waited with tears in her eyes for him to continues peaking. Sinbad and his entourage came closer, but did not interrupt the conversation between the siblings. Malik raised his head briefly, examining the people unknown to him.
"We were in a worse position during the attack. The black Djinns started to overwhelm the other priests and I ... I almost lost my life when your Djinn spoke to me and offered to connect with me.", he explained tensely after turning back to his sister.
"I have consented and assimilated. It seems to be the most potent form that a household vassal can transform into. But it is permanent. I have become quite powerful as a result. But as always, came power with a price, Salome!", added Malik. Sinbad nodded knowingly and the others present seemed to understand what he was talking about as well.
"What was the price? The change in your appearance?", asked Salome quietly, her eyes sliding over her brother's face.
"Alexander is a powerful Djinn made of pure light, Salome. That moment I connected myself with that light, it manifested in me. I have to cover my eyes as they would blind you otherwise.", he finished his explanation seriously. As if to emphasize his speech, the veins on Malik's skin flickered slightly. There was a soft murmur from the other people in the otherwise quiet hall. Salome's eyes got a soft, pitying look as she gently closed her fingers around her brother's wrists.
"Oh, Malik ... I'm so sorry!" She breathed with a breaking voice.
"Don't be! I chose this fate myself. But it is much more important that you are alive. That you are here!", he spoke happily while a bright smile spread on his lips. He pulled away from her briefly, only to pull her back to his chest and press his face into her hair. Malik took a deep breath before lifting his head again and turning it in Sinbad's direction.
"Thank you, Master of the waves! I owe you!", said Malik firmly as he bowed his head respectfully. Sinbad, on the other hand, shook his head slightly. "No, you don't owe me anything. I am glad that Salome and you are reunited.", Sindbad replied with a grin as he looked at the girl with satisfaction. Malik ran a hand over Salome's back before pulling away from her, before bowing fully to Sinbad. "Then I would like to request: Please allow me to accompany my sister and you to serve you both. It is my job as her household to protect her.", Malik announced solemnly as he put his fist on his chest. Sinbad raised his hands soothingly, grabbing Malik's shoulder. "Relax. We don't have to keep etiquette. Of course we would be happy if you would join us.", Sinbad replied. The bright smile that Sinbad received from Salome made this decision even more sweeter.
It was hard for Salome to accept that so many of her friends and acquaintances had lost their lives. She almost collapsed again when she recognized Kunar's petrified body, and even Malik seemed to be burdened by this fate after so many years.
If he was honest with himself, it shocked Sinbad that neither Malik nor Salome showed any signs of depravity. On the contrary, the atmosphere around the two showed acceptance and faith, after they allowed themselves a moment of sorrow. Even after stepping out of the temple, when Salome saw the overgrown ruins that had once been her homeland for the first time, she had taken it surprisingly calm. The tears ran down her cheeks, but she didn't break down like Sinbad would have expected from a delicate girl like her.
"Most of the survivors have left the island, but some still live here today to honor the temple and their faith in King Solomon,", Malik said, placing a comforting hand on his sister's back.
After Malik, closed the gate of the temple and covered it with a melted layer of lava, with the help of Yamraiha, they set off into the valley.
The descent of the volcano turned out to be quite difficult because the path and the stairs were covered with a hardened layer of lava. It happened not only once that one of those present almost slipped. Salome had unconsciously clung to Sinbad's forearm, but that didn't bother him, even though he could feel her brother's piercing gaze on him despite his mask covering his eyes. Since everyone was focused on not falling, everyone involved remained silent until they got to the city.
"What happened to the other priests? Is Isaac still alive?", Salome asked and let her gaze wander over the partly crumbled houses. Her tears had dried up at the beginning of the descent and only left an exhausted expression on her face. The sun was already hanging deep on the horizon and would soon go under.
"Many have given their lives. The rest have gone out to find out more about the masters of the black rukh. Isaac was one of them who left. We are in contact. I stayed here to protect the temple if these monsters decided to come back again. Which brings me to the question of how you managed to get from the harbor to the temple so quickly?", he explained before turning questioningly to Sinbad and the others.
"Ah, so I'm right in my assumption that Masrur saw you on the cliffs earlier!", Sinbad concluded and received a nod from Malik.
"Yes, I was going to make preparations, but before I knew it, the seal was broken and you were in the middle of the temple.", grumbled Salome's brother. Sinbad laughed mischievously and winked at him before answering: "Well, we have our ways!"
"You said to me that Alexander had brought you to me!", commented Salome, watching Sinbad rub his neck in embarrassment. "Well, that's how it was, my dear. I just thought it could be packaged up a little bit more mysteriously.", Sinbad admitted, causing his generals to sigh. Malik looked at him in silence for a moment before shaking his head and dropping the subject. He turned thoughtfully and looked up at the sky.
"At this pace, we won't get to your ship before nightbreak. Maybe we should rather find a place where we can stay for the night. Actually, I would just fly there. Then we would be there pretty quickly, but I can't carry all of you.", commented Malik and looked around for a place to stay. Sinbad, on the other hand, was quite taken with the idea of simply flying to his ship and looked at his generals with a mischievous grin.
"Well, I really like the idea of flying, if you would be so kind to take one with you, Malik? Yam and I will take care of the rest.", Sinbad announced satisfied with the idea and gave Salome a winning grin.
Before anyone could react, he raised his left arm and summoned his Magoi. Sinbad was surrounded by wind as his silver bangle lit up. "Come forth, Focalor!", ordered the king, before the air around him began to lit up. Salome's eyes widened in surprise when Sinbad's appearance suddenly changed and the Rukh committed to dance around him. Dark feathers covering various parts of his body, while his hair grew longer and looked feather-like at the ends. He was adorned with a golden collar and gained a third eye on his forehead. However, what made Salome's cheeks flush was that Sinbad's clothes had disappeared and only his middle was covered with a few red fabrics. He looked scandalous. Grinning smugly, the king walked closer to the brown-haired young woman and playfully bowed his head. "If you allow me!", he said with a flirtatious undertone, ignoring the others present. He held out a hand invitingly and waited for Salome to take it. When she did so, Sinbad jerked her against his body and, as a matter of course, put a hand on her back. He heard Malik start protesting, but chooses to ignore him, while he dropped his arm to grab the girl under the thighs to lift her up. Her gasp drove an even broader grin to his lips as she wrapped her arms around his neck in search of balance. Their eyes met and what drove her cheeks even more to blush, was the wolfish glint in his. Her fingers rested on his bare shoulders, which left behind a pleasant feeling tingling to his chest. Unable to resist, Sinbad bent his head next to hers and let his lips slide over her ear, causing the girl to shiver in his arms.
"Hold on, beautiful! I'm taking you to my ship now!", he whispered inher ear before swinging into the air and simply leaving his companions dumb founded on the ground.
Sighing, Sharrkan was leaning against the railing, while he sucked his pipe in a bored manner. "Man, the day is almost over and nothing happens. Why do I have to take care of the stupid ship? I wishsomething fun would be going to happen!", He grumbled annoyed after exhaling the warm smoke. As if on cue, the wind picked up and before he knew it, his king suddenly landed next to him. The gust of wind that caused the landing drove Sharrkan the ashes of his pipe in his face.
Startled,he jumped up, watching Sinbad perplexed as he gently dropped a beautiful but pretty deranged looking girl. Grinning, the purple-haired man turned to his general, casually putting an arm around the girl, while making his Djinn equipment disappear. "Jo, Sharr. What's up?"
Before Sharrkan could react, other people landed on the deck, one of which was unknown to the heliohaptian.
However, it was Ja'far who spoke first while holding his forehead in annoyance: "We could have saved quite a bit of time if we had figured it out earlier." There was an approving whisper from the other newcomers as the girl broke away from Sinbad and walked toward Sharrkan. Smiling sweetly, she folded her fingers in front of her body while tilting her head slightly: "Hello, my name is Salome!" The cute look on her face, drove a slight blush on the dark-skinned general's face, which he tried to cover up with a cheeky grin. "Sharrkan, nice to meet you, pretty girl!"
Sinbad, who had watched the exchange with his arms crossed, spoke up again.
"How about I show you where to sleep, my dear!" He asked with a winning grin on his lips as he raised his hand to put it back on her shoulder. However, Yamraiha intervened and pushed Sinbad away. "Absolutely not. I'll take it over. And when we're at it, I'll also prepare a bath for you and try to find something for you to wear.", She announced and pushed Salome towards the cabins. The younger girl nodded gratefully and followed the blue-haired magician, leaving a sulking king behind.
"Could it be that he likes to flirt a lot?" Asked Salome carefully as she ran a sponge over her wet arms. After hearing that question, the magician sighed out loud. "Well, to be honest, yes, he's quite the womanizer. B-But don't let that get you down!" Yamraiha tried to save the situation when she caught the girl's thoughtful look. Salome hummed softly before shaking her head slightly and replied, "No, it's all right. I'm just trying to figure him out. I always wondered what he would be like. I just didn't expect him to be so direct and well a bit of a showoff. " Yamraiha laughed in surprise and raised her eyebrows teasingly. "What did you expect if I may ask? I thought the Rukh told you about him."
Blushing, Salome turned in the bathtub and looked at the magician who had sat on the bed. "Hmm, generally they are not very detailed in their tellings and what they say often leaves a lot of room for interpretation. It is more like dropping some keywords here and there that I have to combine with each other. For example, I know that he was destined to become king and was looking for land for a long time. But I don't know his character." Said Salome, while she looked briefly at the little golden birds.
"I think because of these few details I imagined him somehow nobler, more regal.", added Salome truthfully, which made Yamraiha laugh even harder. There was a rumble in the chamber next to them, followed by a soft swear. Yamraiha, who could not sit up straight with laughter, held her stomach to support her. Embarrassed, the young girl sank deeper into the warm water when it suddenly knocked on the door.
Since Yamraiha still had to calm down, it was Salome who raised her voice: "W-Who's there?"
"It's me, can I come in?" Answered her brother behind the door, waiting for her permission.
"Yes, come in!" replied the young girl, grabbing the soap to work her hair with it when the door opened and Malik entered. To give her a little bit of privacy, he looked away from his sister when he saw that she was bathing, but gave no signs that would confirm that the situation was uncomfortable for him. After he closed the door he went to the bed on which the magician was sitting, placing a bag on it.
"I flew off again and got you some things ... I thought maybe you would like some of your items.", her brother explained and opened it to present it's contents. A happy smile spread across Salome's lips, touched by the gesture. "Thank you very much, Malik! You are the best!", his sister replied before she started washing her hair. Yamraiha, who interpreted the pregnant silence as a sign of having to withdraw, rose from the bed. "I'll see if the food will be ready soon!"
When she had left the room, Malik took her place on the bed after he had skillfully maneuvered his wings in the narrow space without knocking anything over. "You look like an angel, brother," murmured Salome, who looked thoughtfully over the white feathers. Her brother made a mocking sound as he leaned back. "And you're starting to look less like a homeless person! You still have dirt on your face!", he teased with a grin, which made her pout.
"Even now you're still an ass. Didn't you have to be a bit more mature and nice now?" She moaned as she considered throwing the soap at him, but stopped when Malik's smile got a melancholic touch.
"I guess I'm no longer your little brother. After all, I'm the older one of us now. You're still 17, aren't you?", he concluded, trying to hide the bitter undertone. Salome reached her hand out for him, which he took immediately. She gently ran her thumb over his wrist.
"I'm sorry you had to go through so many things on your own. I promise I will do my best that this never happens again," Salome announced in a firm voice, gently squeezing again before letting go, reaching for the towel. Malik said nothing, but seemed glad to hear those words. While Salome stood up to dry herself off, her brother looked away and reached into the beg to search for one of her dresses. Like most of her things, it was relatively simple without much frills. The light blue fabric was tight against her waist, but fell generously around her ankles. Malik handed her a belt, which she also liked to wrap around her waist.
"Unfortunately, most of your things had been attacked by moths, but luckily a few were still intact," said her brother, who was watching her put on her jewelry. Here too, Salome was very modest. Beside the bangle that held her Djinn, she wore only a second thin bangle which she pushed up to her upper arm. It had been a present from him on her sixteenth birthday. When she was finished he reached into his pocket and took out another piece of jewelry, which he hesitantly held out to her. When Salome saw it, she inhaled sharply. It was an eight-pointed star amulet that were once worn by ordained priests of their temple.
"Our people are out there looking for a way to support us. They are looking for information about the masters of the black rukh. We use this amulet to prove ourselves as followers of our faith. You should wear it as well, Salome!", explained Malik and put it over her head. "But I'm not a priestess, Malik," murmured Salome, who took the pendant in her hand and stroked it in awe.
"You are much more than that. The priests are there to protect you and we continue to do so. You are Solomon's gift to this world. The fact that you are here and survived only shows that we have not completely failed.", he whispered and finally put a scarf around her shoulders to keep her warm. Mournful, Salome brushed a few wet strands from her face, while she took a seat next to her brother.
"It is difficult to accept this fate. I really try, but I find it unfair that I live while so many have lost their lives.", she replied sadly. She wanted to continue speaking, but there was a knock on the door before Yamraiha entered with a smile. "Hey you two dinner is ready!"
"Y-Yes we are coming!", replied Salome as she let go of her brother.
