#so here's the thing #my new medication helps me feel less sad and hopeless #which honestly thank god cuz it was real rough there for a bit #(i mean we haven't embarked into this year's seasonal depression yet so tbd)#but no medication i've ever taken has helped with the sheer amount of overwhelm i deal with every moment of every day #and i'm not even feeling particularly anxious all the time #(although i do feel it... a lot lol)#but i am just bombarded by constant thoughts and sensory overload and constant frustration and just overall complete overwhelm when it #comes to literally any task #and it is so fucking exhausting #and that's when i start to feel like.... ok i literally cannot do this forever #but what other choice do i have?#no coping mechanism can turn off the deluge of chaos in my brain at all times #and i just don't know what i'm supposed to do about any of this #(and the answer can't be more therapy because i can't afford it lol)#(and it has never worked for me anyway)#this sucks

I'm alive when I shouldn't be. Not that I've been revived or someone took the bullet tor me. I just... shouldn't have survived a specific event, and now it follows me everywhere I go.

#light's spot #just thinking og writing concepts #my favorite interpretation of this is either #a tragedy occurred and the character was the only survivor out of sheer luck or panic or adrenaline or something #so everyone thinks its hopeless only to see a character arrive out of the burning rubble #and their hope is renewed only for that character to explain no one else was around or followed them and they were the only survivor #or #the enemy left a character alive after an attack or capturing them #as a messanger or as a message itself #they saw the horrors and are now a walking example of what the enemy can do #and they and the people around them can never escape the threat that lingers w/ the character in question surviving #or ya know. the enemy favors the character and instead of killing them lets them run free because they're the favorite #which detatches the character from their allies and majes them question themselves until the only #place to go is right to the enemy #which completely flops the narritive and dooms them because win or lose they'll never be the same #i just love writing tropes!#Ichor's story is actually the second one I mentioned tbh #his life acting as a statement piece to his people of what cruelty they're willing to commit to win #very interesting :)
