Cardan Greenbriar
Description : Cardan gets jealous when someone tries to flirt with his wife
warning : jealousy, flirtation, mentions of passionate encounters
Cardan Greenbriar, the High King of Elfhame, sat regally on his throne in the grand court hall. The room was filled with faerie nobility and members of the court, their elegant attire shimmering under the soft glow of the chandeliers. Y/n, his human wife, stood beside him, her fiery spirit contained within the delicate beauty of her features.
As the court meeting progressed, a young faerie nobleman named Alistair approached Y/n, a smug smile playing on his lips. He was known for his flirtatious nature and overconfident demeanor, thinking himself irresistible to any woman.
Alistair leaned in closer to Y/n, his voice dripping with arrogance. "My lady Y/n, I must say, you look even more stunning than usual today. I can't help but be captivated by your beauty."
Y/n raised an eyebrow, unimpressed by his attempt at charm. "Save your flattery, Alistair. I have no interest in your idle compliments."
Undeterred, Alistair persisted, his voice filled with arrogance. "Ah, but my dear Y/n, wouldn't it be thrilling to experience a night of passion with someone of my caliber? I assure you, it would be an unforgettable experience."
Cardan's gaze narrowed as he caught wind of Alistair's audacity. He was well aware of Y/n's allure and the attention she attracted, but his love for her burned fiercely, and he was not one to let such insults slide.
He rose from his throne, a predatory glint in his eyes, and spoke in a velvety, dangerous tone that echoed through the hall. "Alistair, my friend, it seems you have forgotten your manners. Let me remind you that Y/n is my wife, and I assure you, our nights together are nothing short of passionate and unforgettable."
The courtiers whispered among themselves, the tension in the air thickening as Cardan's words hung in the room. Y/n felt her cheeks flush and her heart quicken at Cardan's bold proclamation. She shot him a glance filled with equal parts surprise and desire, momentarily forgetting the presence of the court.
A mischievous smile danced on Cardan's lips as he continued, his voice a low murmur that carried only to Y/n's ears. "Darling, do you remember the way your body trembled beneath me, your gasps of pleasure and cries of ecstasy echoing through our chambers? How you squirmed beneath my touch, unable to resist the pleasure I bestowed upon you?"
Y/n's breath hitched, her eyes widening at Cardan's audacious words. She fought to maintain her composure, feeling the heat of embarrassment rise in her cheeks. She stole a glance at the court, noticing their shocked expressions and scandalized whispers.
Clearing her throat, Y/n composed herself, her voice laced with a touch of sarcasm. "Oh, how could I forget such passionate nights, my love? I'm sure our guests find our tales of intimacy utterly fascinating."
Cardan chuckled, the sound sending shivers down Y/n's spine. "Indeed, darling. They should count themselves fortunate to witness a glimpse of our unbridled passion."
The courtiers shifted uncomfortably, some casting disapproving glances, while others couldn't help but be intrigued by the intensity of Cardan and Y/n's connection. The scene had taken an unexpected turn, their courtly decorum shattered by the unabashed display of their love.
Amid the murmurs and whispers, Cardan extended his arm to Y/n, a playful gleam in his eyes. "Come, my love. Let us leave this tedious court gathering and retire to our chambers, where we can explore new heights of pleasure, far away from prying eyes."
Y/n smirked, her eyes glinting with a mixture of challenge and desire. She placed her hand in Cardan's, allowing him to lead her away from the court, their exit accompanied by a mixture of gasps, hushed whispers, and stolen glances.
As they disappeared from the grand court hall, the echoes of their passionate night lingered in the air, a reminder that love, desire, and defiance had found a home within the heart of the High King of Elfhame and his human queen.

Tail Troubles and Moonlight Stumbles
Cardan Greenbriar
Description : Cardan helping y/n navigate through the dark because being a human she can't see anything and her accidently stepping on his precious tail
warnings : none
In the dimly lit forest of Elfhame, Cardan Greenbriar, the High King of Faerie, and Y/n found themselves venturing through the shadows. The moonlight barely pierced through the dense canopy, casting an ethereal glow upon the foliage.
As they walked hand in hand, Cardan's raven hair, disheveled as ever, framed his face, emphasizing his sharp features and piercing black eyes. His high cheekbones and pointed ears gave him an otherworldly allure, while a delicate tail swayed behind him. Towering at 5'11, he seemed to effortlessly glide through the darkness.
Y/n, a human girl known for her ambition, pride, and determination, matched Cardan's stride with grace, her steps steady and confident. Her sarcastic nature was evident in the playful gleam in her eyes. She was skilled with swords and daggers, but in this realm of Faerie, humans were despised.
As they ventured further into the woods, Y/n's lack of night vision became apparent. With each step, she stumbled slightly, her hand tightening around Cardan's. Sensing her discomfort, he gently guided her, their fingers intertwining like vines.
"Darling," Cardan's velvety voice whispered, his tone laced with affection, "watch your step. The path can be treacherous."
Y/n huffed, a soft smile playing on her lips. "Oh, believe me, Your Highness, I'm watching. But it's not exactly easy when I can't see a thing."
Cardan chuckled softly, the sound a melody in the night. "Well, fear not, my love. For I am here to guide you through the darkness."
Y/n playfully rolled her eyes. "You know, sometimes I think you enjoy these dramatic moments a little too much."
As they continued their journey, Y/n's foot landed on Cardan's sensitive tail, he let out a theatrical yelp that echoed through the forest. He hopped on one foot, his face contorted in an exaggerated expression of pain, as he dramatically clutched his tail with both hands.
"Darling!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with mock despair. "Must you constantly step on my precious tail? Do you not see how delicate it is? It's the epitome of fae elegance!"
Y/n couldn't help but stifle a giggle, finding Cardan's dramatic display both endearing and amusing. Her eyes twinkled mischievously as she responded, "Oh, please, Cardan. It's not as if I did it on purpose. Besides, I can't see in the dark like you can.”
Cardan's pout deepened, his hand still cradling his tail. "Ah, the plight of a poor mortal," he sighed dramatically, his tone dripping with exaggerated sympathy. "Blind as a bat, stumbling around and wreaking havoc on fae royalty. Truly, it's a tragedy."
Y/n playfully rolled her eyes, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "Oh, spare me the theatrics, Your Highness," she retorted, her voice filled with playful sarcasm. "You're the one with the tail, after all. Perhaps you should move your delicate tail out of the way next time."
Cardan paused his hopping and gazed at Y/n with a faux expression of offense, placing a hand over his heart. "Oh, so you think it's my fault now, do you? Blaming the High King for his own impeccable elegance. How dare you!"
Y/n's laughter rang through the air as she replied, "Well, someone needs to take responsibility for that dangerously attractive tail of yours."
Cardan's pout transformed into a playful smirk as he approached Y/n, closing the distance between them. He tilted his head, his dark eyes sparkling mischievously. "Ah, so you find my tail dangerously attractive, do you? I must warn you, my dear, it has been known to steal hearts and cause mortals to stumble."
Y/n raised an eyebrow, a playful challenge in her gaze. "Is that a warning or a promise, High King?"
Cardan's laughter joined hers, the sound blending harmoniously in the enchanted forest. "Consider it both, my fiery, sarcastic darling. But don't worry, even if you stumble, I'll always be here to catch you. Even if it means nursing my precious tail back to health."
Their banter continued as they resumed their journey, Cardan's tail swaying gently behind him. Their playful interactions illuminated the darkness, bringing a sense of lightness to their path. In those moments, Y/n realized that Cardan's dramatics and their shared laughter were not just a source of amusement but a reminder of the deep connection they shared—a bond that could withstand any challenge that lay ahead.
