Here's my take on the wicked queen from the Brothers Grimm Snow White to accompany my Snow White design. It took forever to land on colours for the second outfit but I'm actually pretty happy with how these ended up. I gave her a hand mirror, just one out of many mirrors in her possession probably. I also gave her a name for my own headcanon of her.

Kindof obsessed with how, in ASM, Jeremy's realization of his and Shuli's positions comes out. It's not a "regretful male lead" moment - he's always known his previously unkind behaviour was uncalled for, and honestly...it would've been asking too much of him to behave differently, considering the circumstances. He's even somewhat forgiven himself for his petty actions by resolving to be better already. This wasn't some grand revelation!

It was just him putting the pieces together. The straw the broke the camel's back.

All this time, he's suspected, he's KNOWN, that her position in his family was more akin to a shield than a person to be cared for. But the truth was too painful for him to look at, and so instead he had hoped there was love between his father and Shuli. With the final confirmation that there WASN'T, nothing was preventing him from drawing the conclusion he'd always suspected: his father brought her in to bare Jeremy's burdens.

The best part about it is that he doesn't push her away afterwards. Instead, he swears fealty and to bare her burdens equally in return. The way he strives for equality is just *clenches fist* such a balanced and mature response from someone who is still VERY MUCH SO written as a teenager. It really shows how much he cares and how deep his morals run whaduiahskjodjashdiuasjfnk

Why does my mother always have to die? Cinderella asks as she chafes under a cruel Step-Mother who is the only mother figure she has during the most formative years of her life. I live so many versions of the same but different story with the same but different people.

Snow is a great mage. Just like her Step-Mother, the Evil Queen.

My mother was very kind and very beautiful Rosamond, the Sleeping Beauty says wistfully, and she doesn’t see the kind and beautiful woman devoured while she’s hidden away in a closet.

I always think about my Grandmother says Red. She is never far from me.

Mothers are complicated. She asks a lot of me but gives me a lot in return Pinocchio says right before he cuts himself free from all the Step-Mothers in all the realms in all the worlds before leaving the Neverafter through a Golden Door.
