AHHHHHH WHAT THE FUCK IS STOPPING YOU FROM TAKING A SHOWER AT 11 PM OR GETTING DRUNK ON SCOTCH ON A WEEKDAY NIGHT OR CUTTING YOUR OWN HAIR OR DOING ALL OF THOSE AT THE SAME TIME
I had a religious experience today my dudes
Ok point is. You’re young and learning how to live. Who says you can’t do stupid shit? I’m sure there is a reason why responsible adults don’t do these kinds of things and that there are very obviously good reasonings behind it. And what? Fuck around and find out yourself. Sure, you’ll have a terrible hangover on a school night but you know what? You went ahead and did a stupid fun thing instead of rotting in your bed feeling miserable. You can tell your little cousins about the stupid things you did in your late teens. Do it for the plot, do it for the consequences, do it because it’s better than being dead. “I stole private property signs and brought a flask of rum to school with me for my birthday” will make a way better story than “mushrooms thrived in my lungs because I couldn’t stumble out of bed.” I have those days too. It’s fine. You can’t control what you feel, but you can control what you do. The space between all the things that will ever happen to you outside your control is for you to shape and morph however you wish. Fill it with bad choices and ridiculous memories.
I’m still not completely sober so I’m probably making no sense. Not like I do when I’m sober anyways.
Weird art!!

Azul is just looking for an excuse to (attempt to) eliminate competition, though it’s a poor choice to try and instigate a fight with Trey, the man has physical strength and strength to be patient and I mean really patient…which is not a very good foe to go against. (Also I feel like you got Riddle and Azul’s interaction and characterization down pretty well, if you told me those were voice lines from the game I’d probably believe you).
The way Trey is built... he is literally built husband-sized. Not only is he patient and mentally strong enough to deal with things like Riddle's tempers, he's physically strong enough to hold his own in a fight. Truly the best, most husband-sized man you could ever want. Azul steps up to the plate, swings, and misses horribly because there is no way he's walking out of that fight as the victor.
(:D oh, I'm so happy you think it's a good characterization and portrayal!!! I love writing Riddle and Azul dialogue, so this is a very nice compliment! Thank you!!)

inspiration saturday, tagged by @burins! this is a cute idea and usually i would not have a good response for it bc my fic inspiration is usually very amorphous and vibes based but in this case the vegaspete fic i am currently procrastinating on finishing is directly inspired by this scene in The Americans about (checks notes) having to pull out your wife’s tooth in your basement bc you’re spies on the run from the FBI and how that’s the true meaning of romance. (don’t watch this if you’re bothered by teeth stuff,)
hashtag vegaspete am i right???
i’ll tag @fleet-off, @ghost--houses, @returning-spring and also @raskolnikovslawyer because this is your fault to talk about any current wip inspiration if you’d like! and anyone else who feels like it.

After yammering away about warrior cats for a night with some buddies @draconicapologies took the iniative and did the unthinkable
made a discord for fan clans. And something in my brain snapped and I became possessed by, not the cats, but the idea of a clan based in a Church
I’ve scrambled out some plans, a rough photobash, sketch, and some more in depth plans for the building, and thought I’d post them up here
I’ll slap some more little rambles under the cut but here’s the main camp for Elderclan, the macabre and inquisitive
- The church is abandoned, but they do run the ever present risk of ghost hunting two-legs breaking in or trying to whenever it hits the night cycle. As a result of this, and the fact it’s a large, sheltered building in the middle of the woods/nowhere - the clan has a higher percentage of kittypet and rouge bloodlines, bring in stranger cat breeds
- The unique adaptation for the clan, aside from being curious around outsiders and humans, is their eyesight. They can see particularly well in dark lights, and are harder to spook after living in such an environment (strange creaks, strange lights from the windows, etc).
- They're considered strange and macabre by the other clans, as the strange coloured glass around them (as well as other church items), has caused the cats to grow an appreciation for the more unusual items two-legs have. Glass arrangements or shards are often used to impress a potential mate in Elderclan. The clan prizes the more artistic minded among them.
- As a result of the glass and trinket fascination, and outsiders bring in strange knowledge, they do have more unusual names; Shard, Mosaic, Trinket, Clutter, Stone, Light, Howl, Whistle, Watch and other names that reflect their environment are slightly more common among them (one cat was named Tockchirp - purely for their uncanny ability to guess the time resembling a ‘watch’ found by a kittypet)
- The negative is, they can appear... erratic or dramatic to the other clans. They tend to see smaller details as overly important, and see more messages in things. They are a little obsessive with prophecy and signs. No one’s sure if it’s due to the whole church thing, or something else, but every cat seems to be a little more inclined to put meaning behind everything, particularly the apprentices.
