have you regretted what you named your sims?
ehhh i've never seriously regretted any of their names! if i did, i'd just give them a nickname or change it somehow. but there are a few that i definitely wouldn't choose today. like where did i even pull mikaela from?? (but i do love seeing people attempt to spell it in messages, it makes me laugh every time) and i guess i wish i had given stevie a worse deadname because i actually really love the name jett, but it's too unique for me to ever use again without thinking of her

Have you ever met/monitored any Gods? Is the commission more or less powerful than them?
It's complicated? I don't even know if that would be possible, because by definition a God should be more powerful than us. But at the same time, the commission has access to multiple timelines, technically multiple universes if you want to look at it in that way. And so, a God would just be another part of that timeline. So in that sense, the commission could be considered more powerful because the God would just be another tiny piece in the massive picture of existence
Say a God needed to be taken down for whatever reason, could we do it? It all depends on the God and how powerful they are in their timeline. If the God had control over time and could themself travel through timelines? It'd be a challenge. But if they couldn't, it could be easier. If needed time could be frozen in the timeline, like a certain she who must not be named liked to make use of, and things could be dealt with however needed then
But you have to remember that the majority of the commission are trained up people with weapons
I personally haven't met or monitored any, but I'd guess they'd be monitored if needed, wherever they are

Number 3: A specific color that gives you the ick? I ask because I don't have one, unless it is in certain contexts. Thanks!
Hi! Oh, interesting.
3 - a specific color that gives you the ick?
I don't think so... I do associate colours to different things, but one colour can be used for multiple things. Like, orange is maths and I don't like maths, but orange is also early breakfast in the kitchen on Saturday mornings with my mother, and I love those. Blue is sadness but blue is also peace. The colour in itself is not what irks me, but what it will symbolize in any given contexts, like you said.
weirdly specific and unrelated asks to know someone well

*This poll isn't asking which media you read/watch the most– it's asking what you enjoy the most or which you're most likely to be in a fandom for. For example, a lot of people might watch youtube a lot without being fixated on that media or considering themselves part of a youtuber fandom.

i may or may not be planning a fic where one of the many subplots is that Jason (as Red Hood, but Danny already knows) is following/investigating Danny because he thinks Danny’s dangerous somehow. I won’t go into the details because it’s so much, but point is i have a silly little scene in my head wherein Danny goes out to work on a uni group project with Tim, and on their way to the cafe some asshole car hits a guy on a motorcycle. The Biker goes into a rage and starts cursing him out, takes off his helmet and lo and behold it’s Jason.
Mid-verbal fight with the asshole he catches sight of Tim (recording the whole thing and waving at Jason) and of Danny (potential danger he’s been investigating for nearly two weeks), and Jason gives the asshole a “this isn’t over” threat and dips. Then,
Tim, who noticed Danny’s reaction: You know that guy?
Danny: Oh, yeah, that’s my stalker. You?
Tim: Nemesis. I’m sorry he’s your what?
Bonus:
Tim texting Jason: are you stalking my classmate??
Jason: Mind your own business, Replacement.
Jason: Wait, did he tell you that?
Tim: yah
Jason: RH’s been investigating him. Why the FUCK does your “classmate” think it’s me?
Tim: dick is gonna love this. the great rh has a containment breach
Jason: DON’T YOU FUCKING DARE TELL HIM REPLACEMENT
Tim: LMAO fuck it we BALL
Jason: TIM

it's immensely funny to me how andrew lloyd webber read this passage from the book and was like yeah the journey down to the phantom's lair is this really breathtaking magical gondola ride where christine is just captivated by the strange and fantastical beauty of it all (see below)
Tumblr media
when in the novel they're both like in a rowboat in the dark with christine scared out of her mind and confused as hell while erik is paddling like he's out for an extreme day of fishing and just staring christine down for the entire duration of the journey without blinking once . like mind you his eyes quite literally GLOW in the DARK and he's just fucking staring into her soul and silently rowing and probably not even breathing like

im not even grianpilled but i have to admit i fuck w his thang of making games with rules that are clearly Meant To Be Broken in pursuit of narrative. or content. life series where the most interesting story beats tend to come from players being hyperaware of the rules + how they try to bend them. and now this permit stuff where the previously (mostly) straightforward shopping district has turned into Ok How Can We Cheat The System

As much as I adore conlangs, I really like how the Imperial Radch books handle language. The book is entirely in English but you're constantly aware that you're reading a "translation," both of the Radchaai language Breq speaks as default, and also the various other languages she encounters. We don't hear the words but we hear her fretting about terms of address (the beloathed gendering on Nilt) and concepts that do or don't translate (Awn switching out of Radchaai when she needs a language where "citizen," "civilized," and "Radchaai person" aren't all the same word) and noting people's registers and accents. The snatches of lyrics we hear don't scan or rhyme--even, and this is what sells it to me, the real-world songs with English lyrics, which get the same "literal translation" style as everything else--because we aren't hearing the actual words, we're hearing Breq's understanding of what they mean. I think it's a cool way to acknowledge linguistic complexity and some of the difficulties of multilingual/multicultural communication, which of course becomes a larger theme when we get to the plot with the Presgar Translators.
