I just thought of a great world that Desmond would love (hate). What if he wound up in the miraculous ladybug or sailor moon world? How would he deal with all of the magical crap?
I would like to take this time to show this again XD
I’m going to focus on Sailor Moon because I’m most familiar with that XD
First of all: I mean… at least it’s not Puella Magica. Desmond should count his blessings.
Alright, let’s talk about how this would work.
At first, Desmond would believe he had just been transported into Japan and would try to contact the Brotherhood. It’s during this time that he gets to encounter one of the monsters and he’d be surprised, going “what the fuck?” before just going “fuck it” and trying to take down the monster himself.
Sailor Moon and her team arrives while they’re fighting and Desmond has to watch these clearly teenage girls fight the crap out of that monster with magic powers.
At first, he thinks “Isu bullshit?” and then goes “Naaahh” because that would be too much.
Something weird is going on, that’s for sure.
So he leaves before anyone could ask him how he could stand toe to toe with a monster, his hood hiding his identity (there’s a bit of “did Tuxedo Mask forgot his suit?” but Usagi is sure that the strange hooded man wasn’t Tuxedo Mask).
Anyway, Desmond couldn’t get in contact with any of the Assassins.
When he goes to the supposed Assassin safe house in Japan, he gets to talk to the boss of a yakuza clan who tells him that he had heard of the Brotherhood but they were apparently wiped out centuries ago. It’s all very mysterious but the legend goes that the Assassins and the Templars joined forces to defeat a monster from beyond the skies and they sacrificed their lives to ‘defeat’ that monster.
Desmond isn’t sure just how accurate that legend is but it seems to be an explanation to why there’s no Brotherhood.
He stays in Japan because… well… the monster he saw fell from the skies so there’s a possible connection there.
He has no idea what the hell this magical shit is but, by god, he was going to try and interrogate one of them.
Unorganized Notes:
Desmond uses a reversible hooded jacket that’s black and white. He uses black most of the time, reversing it to white when he’s hunting monsters. He also wears a white face mask to hide his lower face. He would like to stress he’s not a superhero or whatever the fuck is up with Tuxedo Mask. He just don’t want anyone recognizing him.
Speaking of, he finally meets Tuxedo Mask and they do not get along. Not at all. Tuxedo Mask thinks he’s too violent, Desmond is always wondering what the hell is he supposed to be doing.
Someone tries to call him the Hooded Mask and Desmond hates it.
He gets a part time job in a bar. Well… it’s a cozy restaurant during the day and a bar during the night. Usagi and her friends eat there more often because of the hot foreign bartender. (Desmond has made so much Shirley Templar thanks to them. His boozed Shirley Templar is a huge seller too)
The Yakuza boss he talks to helps him with his fake identity and gives him a place to stay, giving him info about how the monsters seemed to be centered in the district he woke up in. Desmond wondered why the boss was helping him, the boss tells him to just indulge her because she had always enjoyed the legends of the ‘great’ Assassin Brotherhood. This boss is this world’s version of Mochizuki Saeko, the mentor of the Japanese Brotherhood during modern day.
The Sailor Senshi has a crush on Desmond because he’s older, nice and hot. Even Usagi but Usagi would like to stress that Mamoru is hotter.
Desmond is pretty sure his regulars are the Sailor Senshis because (1) they look a lot like them and (2) they whisper sometimes and Desmond’s hearing has been enhanced by his Eagle Senses that he can still hear them. He doesn’t confront them though because he doesn’t necessarily want to get in the middle of anything. He just wants information to why he’s here and how to get back to his world.
He does help them out when they’re fighting monsters, going as far as carrying them out of harm’s way and it’s clear that they’ve eaten up more than they could chew. It’s a common occurrence where Tuxedo Mask tries to encourage them while Desmond tries to remind them that it’s okay to not be strong enough and to leave it to him. His methods are… well… quick and painless.
Depending on which arc we’re going for, if Chibiusa is already in the story, she doesn’t like Desmond. She thinks Mamoru is still the best and Desmond just smiles at this because… well… what else is he supposed to do?
Speaking of Chibiusa, if she uses the hypnosis ability of Luna-P and it makes him very wary of the kid… and want to check Luna-P because that thing feels too much like a POE.
That’s right! The Moon Kingdom are Isus! To be more exact, they’re the Isus who left Earth and made a home on the moon to escape the Solar Flare. So yeah… Desmond needs to find a way to contact someone from the Moon Kingdom OR get to the Moon Kingdom as the answer might be there. Maayybbeeee.
(Sailor Pluto might actually have the answers he needs but he doesn’t know that)

Possible House Crab sigil? Might change it later since this was mostly a test
Decided to chuck my Crab Cookies (who'll all get some redesigns and compiled into one TH profile in the future) into the Creme Republic so I figured it'd be fun to make a sigil
Here are some blanks! If you want a different colour, apply a clipping mask w/ the colour you want and set the blend mode to "Color", which is what I did to get the other colors. You can play with hue & saturation shifts too!

The sword in the medicine cabinet
There is a sword in the medicine cabinet.
And one under the bed, and in the hall, and in the iron farm, and stashed inside the door and strapped to False's waist and-
Ok. Maybe False is a bit paranoid. Maybe little more than a bit. The poison next to the sink probably is a sign. But she has every reason to be. She's woken up in a strange world, with no memories or friends, and everything's a little crap right now, so forgive her for being cautious.
False is fine.
She's starting to settle in. There's a rhythm and a schedule she sticks to, trying to get home. False builds and builds and builds until she's too tired to place another block. Her empire, or her temporary one, is taking shape, and she's quite content.
And sure, she's made a friend. Or two. Although she's heard fWip is friends with everyone, and Sausage just doesn't feel right. So maybe they're out to get her. Probably. In fact, maybe she should put another sword in the wheat field. Yes, that's a great idea. If everyone is out to get her, it's great to be prepared.
False is fine.
Besides, some memories are coming back. And they're all the more reason not to trust.
Whenever she holds an orange tulip there's a pain in her back, as though she's being stabbed. She sees a woman with the reddest hair, holding her in her arms. Her eyes are green, like emeralds, and they are full or tears. "I'm sorry," she mutters, sliding a knife out. "I promise I never meant to hurt you." False gasps for air, coughing up blood. "T-traitor," she rasps. Then she snaps back to reality. Her hands are sweaty, and the tulip is crushed. She decides to throw the remains into the lava.
The kingdom of Dawn won't receive visits from her any time soon.
Other times, she dreams. There's a long tunnel, and a woman dressed in pink. She wears a crown of flowers, chocolate hair contrasting with it. False stands, as she walks away, towards the light. "Wait!" she tries to scream. "I'm coming!" Her limbs won't move. The lady keeps going. "Come on, Falsie! Hurry up!" It echoes around her, taunting her frozen limbs. It's suddenly freezing in the tunnel, so she looks down. With horror, she realizes her legs are frosted over, and the ice is climbing to her neck. Desperately she tries to move, but it covers her vision in a blue tint. Breathing is hard through the ice, she suffocating, there's no oxygen she's going to die-
Then she jolts awake in bed, tangled in blankets. Her cat is snuggled by her feet, and the chicken is roosting on the bedside table. She tries to untangle herself quietly, but her cat gives a growl. She resolves to sort it out in the morning.
False is fine.
She just has to get home right? If she can remember where it is. Right. She just has to get home, and everything will go back to normal. False repeats it to herself everyday. What's normal though? What's waiting back home? She doesn't know. False only hopes it's good.
There is a sword in the medicine cabinet.

Another piece? Within the same(ish) week? Gods, who am I? Anyways, this was a lot of fun. I took a bit more time on this one to perfect and polish, and I think it turned out great. Let me know what you think! If it wasn't clear, also, the two women mentioned are Gem and Stress respectively. Gem's one is a callback to her leaving False in Hermitcraft Season 8 (you know, "backstabbing" her) and Stress's one is a call back to her being the Ice Queen of Season 6.

Desmond as the plague doctor in AC? Like, he time traveled, and really was just done with everyone's shit. Also, he's burnt to a crisp, like he fell into a fire and shriveled up like a prune. So he kinda needs a good disguise to hide... everything. So he steals a plague doctors mask and robes to hide in plain sight.
Then people start coming to him with money and wounds. They tell him that they've been told to do 'blood letting' and they need him to do it, which makes Desmond fly into an explanation that "no that's really dumb, what he needs is water and clean bandages. The fuck makes you think losing more blood would make it better?' and eventually, when his 'crazy' ideas actually begin to work, people start to come to him for more life threatening things. And eventually he becomes known as a miracle worker.
Then Ezio stumbles across him...
Let's just say, shenanigans ensue
This ask reminded me of @wolfofartblock’s idea of a plague doctor!Desmond AU and I think they would work well together?
Like, it would definitely be shenanigans to the highest degree if Ezio stumbled across him wounded and in need of dire medical attention and it’s not like Desmond could freaking not do anything.
After that, Ezio starts becoming a regular, less because he was interested in these so-called ‘revolutionary’ medical practices that ‘has gotten a lot of doctors’ metaphorical feathers ruffled’ which was interesting, yes, but what was more interesting was that he saw what was hidden behind the mask and that’s why he keeps coming back.
To catch another glimpse.
All the while, Desmond just wants to stay under the radar but, goddamn it, it was becoming harder and harder to do because he cannot, in his good conscience, let all these ‘bad takes’ continue as it meant people would not be getting the proper care they needed to heal and not die.
At some point, Desmond would have to start writing about his methods in hopes that it would be enough to finally get all these hoity-toitis to finally be better in giving medical care.
Then, then… because of a series of events that includes a lot of people wanting to learn from him, Desmond accidentally becomes a teacher and he can’t really teach in random places so he opens up a small clinic that turns into an unofficial medical school and, at this point, Desmond is also trying to learn actual medical shit because he’s skating by using what he remembers and common sense available to a 21st-century dude like him with the added benefit of remembering some of Shaun’s rants of the many, many ways Ezio could have died by going to the doctor but that’s no longer applicable as his ‘students’ are asking questions and… and…
And…
Holy shit.
Was he an actual doctor now?
Was he an actual instructor???
What. The. Fuck.

a couple of things I wanted to talk about (Justice league & Batman?)
Okay! So Billy batson, right? Yeah. I HATE when people say the justice league wouldn’t understand or even just feel sympathy. In the comics Superman is MAD at the wizard for making billy Shazam (which is understandable) and he UNDERSTANDS. They all would. Batman would make him his son (this has been a meme) cuz he has a problem with adopting… Wonder Woman would too be mad at the wizard. Flash & lantern would try to cheer him up and still include him. Flash would literally be the best cuz he basically raised Wally and yk.. he’s the flash.. but anyway.. a bunch of other things that Billy would fit perfectly into the batfamily.. only me? Okay then..
