I don’t have a bad opinion of the Heathers musical, generally, but it does annoy me when people attribute plot points to the movie that are musical-only.

#okay my only significant bad opinion relates to one production changing one of the songs to be more serious #because they felt like the more comedic version was in bad taste #which first of all you sure you wanna adapt heathers???#second: idk it’s kind of condescending to women #to go to town with I love my dead gay son #but make sure the rape culture stuff is sufficiently somber #third: if you change the song to be more menacing but also make the situation more menacing #that feels like a lateral move #there’s something about these movie to musical adaptations that really bring out the desire to avoid problematic elements #while having a really weak understanding of what makes things problematic

ANYWAY. trimax with with the eternal pining featuring the two chapters where imo #where the both of them really fell for each other... i wrote my thoughts about this on another comic i did before #but vash solidifying his feelings during the hospital arc -- ww solidifies his when he realizes his allegiances are permanently with vash #98 my lovelies but also to me they are so one-sided bc ww pined like no tomorrow and vash only realizes after ep 23?24? his heart did tickle #whenever ww complimented his smile though #and tristamp vw my beloveds. it really just feels like they get the chance to be closer and closer and more honest with each other #with every version that comes about. in trimax they knew how little time they had but struggled so desperately to get closer. in 98 ww felt #more willing to forsake for vash. in badlands rumble theyre Angry but as mentioned earlier ^ more blatant truth... due to circumstances #mainly but has the chance to lead to discussions and tristamp literally. first day of knowing each other ww saves vash - 2 days later vash #saves ww like. Man. AND NOW THEY MAY POTENTIALLY GET EVEN CLOSER!!!! with s2....#ruporas art

HAPPY 16TH BIRTHDAY!!! To this elderly bapy boye!!! he...!!!

#cats #ghhbbb this is the first time I've genuinely considered tumblr blazing a post lol but no.. i shant.. I feel too weird putting financial #information into tumblr or whatever unless I made like a seperate bank account or something not associated with anyhting else lol #but I gave it serious contemplation which is really sayng something (the evil magical spell that all cats cast over u by their perfection)#ANYWAY.................... old man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#it's technically like march 8th but I did his party a little early. I have other pictures to post later maybe too..hrmm #The '1' candle is actually a '4' candle with the side part cut off because they didn't have any 1s #I went all out (like under $15 still lol) and got new birthday decorations for him instead of using the same old #ones from the past like 5 birthdays that I've done for the cats lol..#His theme was rainbows mostly in as light of colors as I could find #The legal age to drive a car in the US is 16 so.... honk honk beep beep.. I shall go out and buy him the most expensive car on the market #as soon as March 8th comes. then he can run little errands (probably mostly getting kibbles or chicken somewhere)#stealing the rotisserie chickens from walmart or something lol #AND they would let him have them. He would drive up and walk inside and they'd call the manager to come over #and they would be so moved by his presence and his big goofy stare that they would just be like..... okey.. have all the chicken in the #entire store. Actually. have the store. it's yours now. And This would continue all the way up the chain until he was handed #the entire walmart company. at last....yakumo with CHIKEN

#i have finally achieved Goal. i drew yakumo with a happy chickcen #legitimately there were several moments of me redrawing yakumo's eyes and yelling #nO! THEY'RE NOT UWU ENOUGH (makes the irises bigger) WAIT . TOO UWU (makes irises more oblong)#WAIT!! NOT MONSTROUS ENOUGH (narrows the pupils) SHOULD NOT HAVE MORE EYELINER THAN FOXY GRANDPA (shrinks the lashes)#did u know that chickens like to sleep on tall things? the higher they are the safer they feel? (according to my cursory internet search)#so i imagine when yakumo finally grew taller than the chickens' roosting spots #some of them started just napping on yakumo any time he came to clean the coop #and he'd be so scared of waking them up that he'd try to do his chores in the tiniest movements ever #several hours later grandma checks in on him bc hmmm! he's taking longer than usual!#sees him covered in birds+bird poop and he's aaaallllmost done cleaning with his restrained broom sweeps #(birds don't stop pooping just cuz they're sleeping u see. how productive)#that's a cue for grandparents to move the roosts higher . bc yakumo doesn't have the heart to shoo the birds off him #he needs to get things done! becoming impromptu bird bed for 3 hours a day is not sustainable!#it's all for the good of chiken anyway. happy chicken happy life #yakumo

#bcs #better call saul #bcs spoilers #better call saul spoilers #jimmy mcgill #specifically One Guy i saw on reddit but like anyone who thinks this kind of missed the point of his actions imo #the whole show has been about this guy and his inability to cope in healthy ways - his brother hating him and later his eventual death #after that howard's death and his divorce #we see hints of it during the early seasons - whenever jimmy feels dejected #or put down he goes back to cons and scams so he can feel like a winner again. so he can be on top for once #the whole saul goodman persona is him trying to distract himself from how devoid his life actually is of any deep meaningful relationships #jimmy confessing in the finale is his acceptance of what he's done. he's finally stopped running from everything #is he going to die in prison for his crimes? maybe. but he's finally stopped lying to himself #he can finally start to move on after repressing everything all these years #it's a bittersweet ending but it was perfect imo

one pet peeve of mine in founders-era fanfics is when madara's whole,,,, everything is solved by izuna just being there

like maybe this is just me, but i don't think izuna surviving or even coming around to the idea of a truce with the senju would've been enough to keep madara from the path he ended up on.

izuna wasn't the reason he left - he was definitely part of madara's issues, but he wasn't the why. even if izuna had stuck around, and even if that had been enough to keep the uchiha clan from losing their faith in madara, i think he would've still come to realize konoha wasn't what he'd hoped it would be.

best case scenario, i think izuna's survival might've caused madara to stick around a bit longer, but i don't think it would've lasted. honestly, even then, that might've just made the inevitable break-up between madara and hashirama even more agonizing (particularly for izuna)

it's a fun idea to play around with for sure, but frankly i don't think canon!madara could've ever been 'saved' from that path. certainly not if the hidden village system ended up getting set up in the same way.

#naruto #naruto shippuden #meta #uchiha madara #uchiha izuna #senju hashirama #from the moment madara was born into that world he was doomed to walk that path i think #most fics that have izuna live and madara still leave that i've seen keep izuna's death as the catalyst. but moved down a bit #which i understand #but imo it'd be more interesting to explore how izuna would feel about his brother's choice #bc as much as people like to view izuna as like a super big bro supporter. he really REALLY isn't #his loyalty is to the uchiha clan #we're explicitly shown that if forced to pick between the clan's interests and madara's dream izuna will pick the clan #both as a kid when he and tajima fought tobirama and butsuma #and as an adult when he used his last words (or the last words hashirama ever heard from him) to further that divide #the clan chose konoha over madara. and i think izuna - as against the idea as he was to begin with - would've also #not bc he doesn't love his brother. bc his loyalty is and always will be to the uchiha clan #hell madara was the same until he was physically forced to stop #first by hashirama trying to use his own life as a bid for peace between their families #and later by the uchiha clan's rejection of madara himself #madara is like. if the doomed hero trope was the antagonist #having said all of that zetsu was never going to let izuna live bc he needed madara to get the eternal mangekyou sharingan #and izuna was the only one of his siblings who lived long enough to see him get the regular sharingan. so it had to be him #but like i said even if that weren't the case it wouldn't have mattered #madara believed that the end - the world of dreams - would justify the means. if izuna hadn't given up his eyes freely...#well. it's not like people didn't end up thinking madara had taken them anyway #i don't think even naruto could've saved madara really #the only thing anyone could've saved him from was dying alone #which is what would've happened if everyone except him was in the infinite tsukuyomi when kaguya came back #and honestly even tho all three of his deaths had other people there (hashirama then obito then hashirama again)

once again screaming crying throwing up about the fact that infinity train was prematurely cancelled despite being contracted for 5 seasons.

#infinity train #like i really really want all 8 seasons. & i really really want present day!amelia and all that would come with that (e.g. hazel and grace)#but i feel like i would be so much more content with the show's cancellation if we had the bow on top of it all that was the amelia season #because she was the villain from s1 #the fallout of her villanry births the antagonists from s2.#she appears again in s3 having moved on slightly and changed her outlook. thereby creating a somewhat optimistic outlook on the end point of #her story #and s4 shows (in parts) her descent into villany.#she's been the main reocurring presence in the whole show and her train motivation (unbearable grief) and villain arc are the most #complex the show would've handled #i truly believe that if they had been allowed to make it it would have served as a perfect ending to the show #because she's been built up for so long and because the writers would've had so much material to work with AND detail to pay attention to #it wouldve been spectacular.... and everything they wanted to explore in later seasons wouldve been so good too #(older tulip and revenge and acceptance of something as complicated as alzheimer's disease)#(and i also think it wouldve been neat for them to show us a glimpse of 40 y/o rymin cuz those boys have major issues still when they get #off the train #and so id like a snapshot of them in the future that shows they worked things out)#yeah. justice 4 infinity train justice 4 amelia hughes. i want to fuck that 60y/o deeply evil woman so badly and i need her back in my life

Fun fact I used to consume a lot of Land of the Lustrous stuff.

Anyways this is one of my many Land of the Lustrous OCs, Vivianite. Mohs hardness of 1.5, dark green/blue in colour, and very old. Due to the nature of his weak composition, Vivianite can't actually do much of anything, and has had to live under very specific conditions.

Vivianite wears a tight full body uniform to hold any chipped pieces in place, and is kept in a box stuffed with loose cloth to ensure minimal damage. If he comes into contact with light, he begins to oxidize and darken, so he's kept in a windowless room with curtains over the entrance.

That's all to say he's isolated and bored. He spends much of his time inactive, but he'll jump at the opportunity for conversation if there's someone around. Certain gems visit him to chat, get guidance, or give him the recent news. A task given to some gems is to clear his room of dust, and maybe bring him some books if he's up for it.

Vivian sees himself as an older sibling/friend to many of the other gems, and as such he's very keen on providing a listening ear and giving advice where possible to those who need it. He's essentially emotional support in a can.

Other notes/details:

not all gems know Vivian exists! He's hidden away so most gems wouldn't see him unless they were actively looking for him. A lot of the older ones know about him, but the younger ones don't

Rutile is endlessly tired of having to glue him back together so often due to his softness, which is part of why he has a tighter uniform to keep all his broken pieces in place

Vivian struggles with walking, he tends to be slow and stumbly

the tanks in Vivian's room are for jellyfish. Gems who are sent to clean his room have to switch out the jellyfish too. They're there to provide a faint light source so he doesn't go completely inactive

Vivian, despite living in a box in the dark, has a lot of technical knowledge about things as a result of millennia of going through the library collection. He' a living encyclopedia and can usually offer some answers if a gem has questions on a particular subject

his internal structure is basically a lot of shards stuck together like fibers, so he does minor repairs on himself by affixing strands of his hair into empty spots. He's had his fingers repaired and replaced this way often

In the few instances where Vivian has gone outside, he has an abnormally high amount of energy as a result of his inclusions being able to work at full capacity in the light

He does this knowing the risk and he couldn't care less #also also‚ he has weird inclusions. What makes them odd is the fact that he can move them around and concentrate them in different areas #he's stiff cause he keep most of his inclusions packed in his torso‚ not his limbs. This also ensures he doesn't lose anything #by touching something and having his fingers (inevitably) flake apart #There's more but I'll save that for later. Good day ^^
