i’m so confused on boogie and trey’s relationship tbh. i wonder if she was joking on the live when she said her and trey would get back together..? also it seems odd to answer questions about him on live idk
I only tuned in for the last 30 minutes, so unfortunately I missed that whole part of the live (and the part where apparently they got asked if Trey was gay). As far as official documents go, it was Trey that filed for the divorce in spring 2019. She's also said in the past that she wishes they were still together, though it might've been because it was something Betty said she wished for. Either way, there don't seem to be negative feelings and animosity between them.
I don't know if she was joking when she said that they'd get back together, but I think for the time being while nothing is official we should not make heavy assumptions and just take it lightly.
The whole live thing can be a bit uncomfortable at times, but if Trey had problems with it I think he would've said something by now. They've been doing lives for a long time, and he's even participated in the past. I wouldn't worry too much, personally. I think as long as it stays respectful...

This is when Pierro gives him some old man advice and just tells him to talk to you already 😭 Also, since the soldiers really respect Capitano i hc that he sometimes asks them about their lives and such, yk to get to know his squad to build morale and such. And he knows that many of them have spouses and always talk about their relationships... so one day he straight up asks his soldiers about how they speak to their lover etc. And boom everyone can instantly tell their captain is having love problems (😭 hilarious tbh) and now they're trying to figure out how to give advice to the 1st Harbinger without being disrespectful (he thanks them at the end and is now mentally preparing on how to speak to you)
NOOOO but the angst you mentioned... I can just imagine reader feeling scared and alone in the relationship 😭🥺 And they just don't know what to do, Capitano's hella scary to talk to first, you're just a normal person too and it seems like he isn't interested in you either (Couldn't be farther from the truth ofc, he's so in love with you)
Though when you work out all the problems and such, (I have to add some fluff in yk me) this is where you start teaching him more about emotions, how to express his feelings in more noticeable and less awkward ways (you two have little training sessions where you make him practice, this time you let him know that eye contact is actually very good, but the way he was going about it wasn't it 💀 bb awkwardly apologizes for making you uncomfortable cuz he genuinely felt bad 💀 down the line of the relationship you like to bring it up to tease him and he always apologizes profusely 😭🙏)

Comedy and horror are the same genre. You’ve got the set-up, and then you’ve got the rising tension, and then the sudden and unexpected climax, usually at the expense of someone else. But the difference is that comedy doesn’t usually get the falling action horror does, which adds to the shock factor of it. That’s why most good horror movies have moments of levity- how many times has a movie set up for a jumpscare just for it to be a cat or a Guy? And it’s why, if you take away the laughtrack from a lot of old shows the shows always come of creepy and uncanny. If that makes sense
Also the secret to Bad Romance is that it is a romcom, just a super dark one.
And there’s no real difference between writing q!Cellbit and f!Cell, I’ve realized. They’re quite literally the same exact character. They’re just at different stages of life. A lot of people don’t seem to realize that, probably because q!Cellbit has done such a good job with his self-improvement. But he did literally complain about Tazercraft’s murder mystery arena not being open yet because he wanted to kill people… with consent! He still shares a lot of traits with his old self, his value in trust being the biggest one, he’s just accentuated the good traits and tried to get rid of the bad ones. To put it short: he grew up.
The real question with Bad Romance was how to work with that and make a f!Cell who has the maturity of q!Cellbit while remembering that he never got to go to therapy or have a real self-discovery moment. This is a guy who’s had a full decade in prison to master his craft and plan his revenge and literally nothing is going to get in his way, not even the weird true crime stan he can’t quite bring himself to kill (yet.)

Genuinely wondering - is it bad to have Vicious as one of my favourite characters? It’s not like I want to hold her to my heart and call her a sweet baby, or say she’s a villain who has any morals and fair justifications behind her actions and wants to do the right thing. Because, she’s not, and I hate the way she behaves. She’s reeeeaaaaaly not good. But - I think that’s a reason why I like her. It’s because that’s what makes her so interesting. We don’t know her internal justifications, whether she even would redeem herself if she could, or anything about her past. It’s not that I find the most interesting point is just because of her relationship and dependence on Jasper, but the way her character behaves individually.
I find that she’s just so well written, it’s hard to objectively dislike her character, and I’m almost excited to see her next. (Not that it’s gonna end well for her, in my guessing.)
It’s almost like I love to hate her. She’s terrible and she’s a very mysterious character who I find to be highly interesting, despite not being a good person. Not to mention her VA. Chefs kiss. Mwah.

for starters, I'm a long fic > short fic person (if the length of my works hasn't told you anything LMAOO) because longer lengths set themselves up very nicely for my prefered genres. For genshin, I like modern aus because I enjoy seeing how people incorporate the worldbuilding of Teyvat into a modern-day setting (there was this one fic I read a while back that incorporated the Akasha system in a really ingenious way). Another one of my favorite genres, although it doesn't really work with genshin because of the ambiguity of the game's timeline, are historical aus, ESPECIALLY if they also fall into the thriller/mystery genre. In general, anything that's a murder mystery or anything mystery-related will usually catch my attention immediately.
Fics that incorporate psychology or double as analyses of a character also have a really good chance of becoming a favorite of mine. It's also a really good way to test how well your characterization skills are and an opportunity to improve from others- matter of fact that's how I learned and perfected writing Alhaitham in all stars must die one day LMAO
In general, I tend to seek out what I write in my fics in others.

I'm kind and patient with everyone I held dear and ready to help with whatever I can (here are included family and very close friends). At the beginning I tend to be too formal and judgy with strangers, but I will slowly warm up when I get to know them better and they prove themselves to be good friends. I'm that kind of person that has many acquaintances, but few friends. I enjoy going to watch ballet in my free time and secretly, when I get home, I LOVE to "practice" their moves in the mirror afshsjsbs. And one of the reasons I love going to the opera is that I get a chance to dress formal and I love to get the attention of others (and the fact that I am 6'2 is also a big plus)
Sometimes I doubt my own intelligence and I find it difficult to open up and reveal myself to others. And because of my independent and "first career then love" attitude I hardly attract guys :c I found out that I like mature ones- I wouldn't mind a huge age gap-, that love to dress causal formal (or at least would let me dress their wardrobe) and have a good sense of humour! And I wouldn't mind being put in my place from time to time🥴

Hi again L its me lol (the anon who asked about ellie's birthday tape). Anyways I was rewatching the playthrough of Ellie's birthday flashback and I noticed that at the point right before they get to the museum where they're swimming and joel helps her out of the water and she's asking if he's giving her a new pair of sneakers, his hand lingers on her arm and he gives it a little squeeze 🥹🥹😭😭

The birthday flashback is actually what got me into the franchise as a whole. The video was recommended to me on YT and I thought ‘oh, this looks cute’ and then I sobbed at the space ship scene 😭
But I think the video I watched with the sneaker dialogue was in that video and I thought it was the cutest thing ever. Is it a… new pair of sneakers? How many of those do you have? Tsh, not enough.
AND COME TO FIND OUT ITS ACTUALLY SO EASY TO MISS?? The amount of tlou2 playthroughs I’ve watched of the flashback where maybe two people have gotten it is insane
And you know me—the physical touch girlie 🤌🏻 Safe to say the little moment of helping her out of the water and holding onto her arm way longer than he needed to slowly sucked the air from the lungs and stole my wallet and shoved me down a man hole in the middle of the street
ALSO I KNOW ITS NOT RELEVANT, but one of my favorite flashback moments which is ALSO incredibly easy to miss—I believe jacksepticeye is the only one I’ve seen find it, is after the shuttle scene and they’re outside and Joel does a canonball into the water, there’s a little staircase off to the side with a bunch of rubble on it before you head into the second building. One of those rubble pieces, though, is a pallet. If you go over there, Ellie’s like ‘Joel, look! Wanna give me a ride?’ And he chuckles and says ‘those days are long gone, kiddo’ and I WEEPED when I saw that, especially when I finally watched through the first game and went back to the flashback and realized that it was her idea for Joel to teach her how to swim.
