"Are you sure this is going to work..?" Diluc peered into the little vial that Albedo had bestowed upon him. It was a little bit foggy in there, a light pink tone. "This little of an amount too?"
Albedo nodded in silence, then walked back to his desk. "I think you'll find it actually works quite well. If it doesn't, let me know." He sat down and straightened the loose papers that were strewn across the tabletop. Diluc simply nodded in thanks and scurried out, closing the door behind him.
-xxx-
The sun has long set, nearing about midnight. Diluc stood in the tavern among the last few patrons chugging down their drinks. He wiped glass after glass, occasionally checking the clock. When would you finally be here, he thought to himself, placing another glass away.
"Don't get so worked up over her, Di!" Kaeya laughed, words slurring a little. He was sat at the counter with Rosaria. The rain pounded heavily on roof of the building, sending Diluc into further panic, although he hid it well. Maybe you had gotten caught in the rain? You could catch pneumonia out there! He tossed the rag down and leaned on the counter to catch a breath.
Rosaria glanced at Kaeya, both of them equally intoxicated and giggly, and turned back to Diluc. "Yeah, why are you so tensed up about her? It's not like she needs to abide by tavern hours anyway, she'll get here when she gets here!" She shouted the last line a little, Diluc scoffing at the stupor of these two. The tavern was closing in only half an hour. He could leave it open just for the two of you, it would make it easier anyway.
Suddenly, the door whipped open, and there you were, squeezing out your hair outisde the door. Head to toe, you were dripping wet. The three last people in the tavern turned to look at you as you laughed sheepishly. "I missed the forecast," you shivered and came to the bar counter, leaning over to kiss Diluc on the cheek, much to the delight of Kaeya and Rosaria.
He tensed up looking at you. Even fresh out of the pouring rain and all disheveled, you were still the most beautiful thing he's ever seen. You had mentioned being ok with what he was going to do before, so he knew that he wasn't in the wrong, but the feeling of doing something so taboo got him going, especially with you standing right in front of him.
Glancing at the time, 12:30 am, he quickly ushered the drunken Kaeya and Rosaria out of the bar. "Shall I get you a towel to dry off?" He patted your soaked hair as he turned to the stairs. "Nonono," you laughed, "Drink first. Then towel."
He gulped. Now was the time he needed to do it, arousal and nerves swirling around his mind. "As you wish," He breathed out as he poured a glass of dandelion wine, your favourite. While his tall frame was turned against you, he carefully slid the vial out of his pocket, pouring it into the glass. It dissolved quite neatly, save a few sparks that flew out.
He picked up the drink, turning around and placing it hastily down in front of you. Giving him a weird look, you picked up the drink and looked at it for a good few seconds. Shit, I've been caught, he thought as he stared straight into your confused eyes. Shrugging, you took a swig of the wine.
Eyes widening, you looked up at his looming figure, "This is great! Did you put something in it?" You joked and giggled as you took another sip. His heart skipped a beat and shook his head. "I'll go get you that towel," Diluc started climbing the stairs, looking down over the railing to see you take another swig.
Looking down on the glass in front of you, your head started to feel a little floaty. Your wet skin started to feel a little warmer, maybe the warmth of the tavern was helping. That's all you thought, until you started feeling a pulsing feeling. Where's Diluc is all you thought as you took another short sip from the oh so delicious wine.
Diluc came back down the stairs, sneaking up behind you to place the towel over your now damp hair. Whipping around, you grabbed onto his waist and pulled him closer. "Diiiiiiluc.." You groaned into his stomach. "I'm so hot.. and so wet.." Your doe eyes looked up to him, gauging his response. His crimson red eyes looked back down on yours, starting to fill with lust.
He thought whether to just satisfy you now, or let you finish the substance he oh so intensely bargained for. "Don't you want to finish your drink?" In your foggy brain, anything Diluc says goes, so you nodded, still cuddled in his chest. He could get used to this, he thought as he gently grabbed the back of your head.
Bending down to whisper in your ear, "Would you some help with that?" You nodded again, turning your head to try and kiss him. "Yes please, Luc." That set a light inside of him as he picked up your spiked drink, pulling your head back a little. Moving the glass up to your lips, you parted them just enough to latch onto the glass, drinking it thirstily as he tilted the glass further and further, right till the very last drop.
As the wine went down your throat, you felt a sudden jolt of pleasure, moaning into Diluc's arms as he picked you up. It was as if any touch had you off the rails. As Diluc carried you up the steps to the third floor of the tavern, you peppered little kisses and nips all over his neck and cheek. "Where are we going..?" You breathed into his neck as he pushed the top floor door open with his hip.
Diluc placed you down carefully on the guest room bed, then stood back to admire the blank canvas in front of him. How beautiful you were lying there, moaning as you grabbed onto the bedsheets, a hungry expression on your face.
"Diluc, come here," you called out, shaking him out of his trance. He climbed onto the bed, positioning himself on top of you, pinning you down. "Yes, my dear?" He cooed, leaning down to plant a soft kiss on the corner of your lips. You in turn grabbed his collar a bit harsher than you meant to, staring straight into his moonlit eyes. "Fuck me, Diluc." You whispered just close enough for him to hear. "I need it. Please fuck me.." You trailed off, feeling him start to trail his mouth down your neck.
"As you wish," He smirked slightly, unbuttoning your shirt one by one. "You really want it that badly, darling?" You nodded your head vigorously in return, threading your hands in his red locks. "I need you Dilu-" You were cut off by the man biting your hard nipple. Moans escaped your mouth in a steady flow as he licked and sucked it, playing with the other in his hand. "M-More please!!" You cried as the spike really started to set in, causing an unsatiable fire inside of you.
"You're so greedy, you know that?" Diluc growled, pinching your nipple with his hot fingers, it felt like a zap in your system. "I did this to you and no one else," He continued as he bit at you more and more. "By the end of tonight, the only thing that'll still be in your mind is me.." Only half of it registered in your mind, but the sound of his low voice vibrating through your system is all you needed to remember.
"Repeat it, my love.." He raised his face to be inches away from you, slowly reaching his hand down your unbuttoned pants, "Only I can make you feel this way." He toyed his finger at your entrance as you gathered the words in your mind.
"Only you can make me-"
He shoved his fingers inside you deep in, finishing your sentence with a scream. "D-Diluc-!" You huffed out as he started pushing in and out fast, curling at your g-spot. "More! More-" You yelped, bucking your hips, pushing his fingers in further. "Oh you want more?" He licked your jaw, sucking at the rainwater still left over. "Almost.. There-" You prepared to have the orgasm of a lifetime but was stopped short by Diluc pulling his fingers out.
You whimpered as he raised himself back up to your level. You were so cute laying there quivering, he thought. "What do you desire, y/n?" He inquired, toying with your wet hair strands, your face now a mix of rainwater, sweat, and tears of joy. "Give it to me, DIluc," You pushed his head down, craving that sweet release that was stripped from you.
He scoffed at your selfishness as he pulled down you pants and underwear, as if he didn't do this to you. He'll make you understand the manners you need to use for him. His tongue slit against your throbbing clit, sending you back on the ride. as he dined on your clit, his hand found its way back to your sopping entrance, continuing the pace he was going at before.
Your sight was blurry as you looked down, all you could see was the shape of Diluc. Him and the stars that filled your vision. You've never felt like this before, each lick and suck he did felt like its own orgasm. Diluc's doing this. Diluc's the one making you feel like this. Only he can make you feel this way. The words he put in your mind were the only words left at all as he took your brain away piece by piece, he was all that was left.
"Diluc.. Diluc.. Diluc!!" You screamed as you got pushed to the very edge. Suddenly, as if he could tell you were about to fully become his, he pulled himself away again. Tears rolled down your pretty cheeks as you brought your hand down, needing to finish yourself but to no avail. "Tsk," He sat himself up, giving you his fingers to suck off.
"I'm afraid only I can make you cum, my dear.." He peeled your hand away from your clit, and you moaned in defiance, at least as much as you could with his fingers in your mouth. "But you made a vital mistake," He took his fingers out, trailing them gently down your waist. "You didn't say please."
"P-Please Diluc.." You choked out, taking extra time to remember the word please, all you could think of is Diluc. "There you go! Was it that hard?" He tucked your disheveled hair behind your ear as he unbuckled his pants, taking the pants and shirt off. "Now you'll get what you deserve, my love." You pulled his underwear down in a frenzy, positioning his hard cock right at your entrance to take the work off his hands. "Oh how kind you are, y/n, positioning my own cock for me." He smiled a rare gleam as he pushed himself into you, finally getting to moan.
"You're s-so beautiful, so perfect," He complimented you for every deep thrust he blessed you with, "And you're mine." He growled the last one as he sped up his pace. Your head lolled back and all you could see is red in your vision. Not that you were to notice, but all you've been doing is chanting his name as you bounced from his thrusts.
"You come when I come," he pushes the words out with great effort as his pushes got shakier. Your legs were already shaking violently from being edged like you had, and you nodded your head as best as you could. "Ready?" He called out as he thrusted the deepest he could go.
"3... 2... 1..." He came with a loud groan right in your ear as you cried out his name, clawing at his back to get as close as possible. He filled you up to the very brim, burying his head in the crook of your neck as he slowly thrusted, coming down from his high.
Your eyes stayed close as he took himself out, resting on top of you with his hands in your hair.
"I love you darling.." He whispered as he pulled the covers over the two of you, but to silent ears. "Y/n..?" He lifted himself slightly to get a better view of you. There was no way you were going to have any senses for a good day at least. He sighed into a smile, and cuddled up close.

That's a lot of kinks. But I'm not complaining. Um I did have not have any pics of Diluc and Zhongli together so I did a simple 5 sec editing and here ya go! Sorry this took so long. Thank you for reading!
POV You bought a new friend home. It's a harmless hydro slime and your boyfriends dont approve of it. You get pouty and they punish you
Includes: Overstimulation, Spanking, Rough sex, Choking, Bondage, Orgasm denial, degrading, Dacryphilia, dumbification
❤💛--------------------------------------💛❤
You were living every girl's dream. Dating Diluc, the stoic bartender and Zhongli, the walking history of Liyue book.
How did you attract them? Simple, you were a cute crybaby working as an adventurer. Not a surprise when their sadistic personas screamed to make you cry even harder.
Telling you right here and now. They're gentlemen in the streets but assholes in the sheets. You loved them with all your heart but they're so mean in bed. You can't even tell them to stop because they know you actually liked it.
Anyways, enough about them. After finishing your last commission, you bought a small blue slime home because it was so cute. Not only that. It was harmless seeing as it kept following you around like a dog. Carrying the bundle of joy in your arms, you entered Dawn Winery Manor, the workers stared in astonishment watching the hydro being nestled between your breast, purring.
Simultaneously, your lovers came out from wherever they were and greeted you.
"Welcome home, darling/dear-"
They were cut off, seeing the suppose hostile mob snoozing away in your embrace. You greeted them back.
"I'm home, Luc! Li!"
Zhongli's porcelain face scrunched up in disgust seeing the slimy creature. Why the hell did you bring it into their sleeping quarters? Is that thing just made a smug face at him?? Nah hes just delusional cuz of jealously and disgust or smth
Diluc doesn't hate slimes like the Geo Archon does but not does he like them either. Rather the crimson haired thought of them as nuisances to his business.
You asked.
"I found this slime following me and thought it was harmless. Why not take it home? Can we keep it please~?"
The males looked at each and nodded before turning back to look at you. They said.
"No."
You were taken back, baffled.
"What? Why??!"
The red haired male huffed, explaining.
"I probably would not mind, perhaps let you put it in a tank and take care of it however you know how Zhongli has a very strong hate for anything slimy."
You pouted.
"Then it doesn't need to be near Li and it'll be fine!"
You were determine to have this small slime be your companion during adventuring time. Forget seelies. Forget your boyfriends disapproval. Your going to keep it in the guest room and sleep with the squishy blue ball there.
Just as you were about to run away. Diluc grabbed you by the waist, carrying you over his shoulders like a sack of potatoes, making you drop your little companion. It bounces away, squeaking. You called out, hitting the red head's lower back, weakly with your fists.
"Hey! What was that for?!"
! SMACK !
Flinching, a swift slap was delivered to your bum and you didn't know who did it. Zhongli said.
"After we said no. You still take it in? Bad girl. I believe punishment must be ordered."
You blabbered in disbelief.
Suddenly, you were tossed onto the bed, sinking into the soft sheets of comfort, your clothes were ripped off by 2 pairs of greedy hands.
Perhaps you froze in shock when they toss away your scattered remains of clothing but they're already naked, their little friends exposed yet not awakened.
Zhongli hand gripped around your throat tightly, cutting off your air way. Meanwhile, your pyro lover ran his hot wet tongue over your folds, dampening your entrance. Tears gather at the corner of your eyes, feeling hazy at the lack of air yet hot. When Zhongli took away his coarse hand away from your throat, you desperately gasped for air. Without time to rest, the geo user pressed down on your hardened buds with his thumbs. You gave a breathy moan, stilling trying to catch the air you desperately needed in your lungs.
Diluc lapped at the slick you produced from your core, his nose rubbed against your clit making you shake every 5 seconds. Taking this as a distraction. The ravenette clipped your hard buds with some sort of unique silver nipple clamps.
It stung and Zhongli is not helping by tugging on them. You complained.
"I-It hurts!"
Nothing new. They whispered comforting words but you couldn't hear them cause of the erratic beating of your heart through your ears.
Something hot entered your entrance so you looked down and saw it was Diluc's digits thrusting in and out, occasionally rubbing a weird spot that made you moan out loud. Any attempts to close your legs, resulted in your smooth legs bended over your head and harsh spankings. Diluc reprimanded.
"Bad slut."
! SMACK !
! SMACK !
! SMACK !
Losing counts of how many time the pyro user landed a hit on each of your ass cheeks. Tears ran down your face like a waterfall, feeling the burn on your poor bottom. The nerve when Diluc rubbed them, hoping to soothe the pain. Well it ain't working. Bet it's all red now but it'll be bruised tomorrow.
Out of habit you bound your thighs together. However, your archon lover decided to tie your ankles and wrist to the corners of the bed.
Your head was turned to the side facing a big angry weeping member pressing against your lips.
"Open your mouth and take it all in like the pretty whore you are. You wanted us to punish you in the first place. That's why you disobeyed."
You gaped, screaming in your mind.
'ILLOGICAL! WE DID THIS JUST YESTERDAY."
Zhongli took the opportunity of your slightly opened mouth and slammed his member down your throat. You gagged, quickly trying to adjust to the large accompany in your mouth.
Man, they really manhandling you today. The ruby eyed male also plunges his length into your entrance, slowly pulling it out to the tip then pushing the rest in. You mewled in etascy. In sync, they fucked you at a rough pace. Just as you were about to release, they slowed down. You softly whine, tugging your hands, weakly at the restraints.
"Would you look at that. Our pretty whore wants to cum. Does she deserve it, mister Diluc?"
With a expression of annoyance, the red head rejected.
"No."
They continued the torture; fucking you at a relentless pace and when your about to reach your high, they slow down before repeating the process.
You cried, miserably. Their teasing was just endless. Letting them do whatever to your body, you felt your eyes roll up. The pyro user, chuckles.
"How cute. We fucked her brains out. She took her punishment so well. She deserves a reward, no?"
Zhongli takes off the toys pinching your swelling nipples, agreeing with the other male.
"Yes, even a bitch needs to cum at some point. Let her cum all she wants."
You didn't register the fact they pulled out their lengths, already taking off the restraints when they turn you over onto your stomach, doggy style. Their members slid back into you no problem. It was like your holes was made for them or they fucked you so much, your body's insides molded to their dick shape.
You moaned over and over again, cumming for who knows how many times. You were conscious however your mind was somewhere else.
Since they took away your walking privileges for the next 2 weeks, you get to keep the slime. Haha in your face geo daddy.
You named the small of hydro element, Puppy cause why not?
--------------
Again sorry for the wait! I'm trying to manage my schedule to scoot in a writing here and there since I also have Wattpad to deal with.
This one took a while but I am very excited for the next nsfw/crack request coming up and hope to achieve big brain for it.

Home, Again.
(Spoilers from Campaign 2 Episode 141, it has been a lovely ride, and I will admit, this mostly going to be me getting a bit into my own personal fantasy, but I hope it is enjoyed.)
Caleb, a little grayer in his hair, stands on the beach staring out into the ocean, a wide smile on his face as he turns and sees several small forms racing about, clashing fake swords, delving into the water cautiously, or just doing what children are want to do. Veth's little "camp" had picked up steam, numerous children from across the breadth of Nicodranus coming to learn how to be, well, how to play at being adventurers. He'd managed to take a bit of time off from the academy, nervous still about the prospect but...he'd been drawn away for an excellent reason.
His family.
Nine years had passed since their battle in Cognouza. Nine years since they had become the unsung, though oft whispered. heroes of all of Exandria.
He'd seen them all from time to time across the years, coming together for birthdays and moments of joy and surprise, but now, was a time for true celebration.
He turns and spots Veth and Yeza, standing shoulder to shoulder nearby, watching the waves roll in, hunting perhaps like he was, for the behemoth that was the Nine Heroez to pull into port. On Veth's hip is a little girl, with a mane of curled, wild hair much like her father with a deeper skin tone like her mother: Molly.
Veth turns and looks up at him, "Do you seem anything?"
"Not yet, but they'll be here. I can't imagine they'd miss this for the world." Caleb responds, squeezing her shoulder before reaching down, letting the gently cooing Molly take his finger and squeeze.
He turns and looks back, spotting several other figures arrayed across the beach that he had reached out to in the planning of this event.
Shakaste is perched on a rock, telling a soothing story to an enraptured crowd of kids, which included Luc, and to his amusement Twiggy, who had arrived at the party seemingly out of the blue.
Running towards him, chased by her youngest adoptive siblings is Kiri. Veth invited her family to partake of Nicodranus and allow the kids a bit of fun during the summer months.
Kiri skids to a halt kicking up sand, standing almost to his chest now, several makeshift bandoleers and her collection of tinkered baubles resting on her chest and along her belt. She smiles up at him widely, chirping excitedly.
"Come on! Beau, Yasha! She's probably a good egg!" Kiri warbles, mimicking several voices she'd heard, tugging on his and Veth's hands.
Laughing, Veth passes Molly to her husband, and the pair allow Kiri to drag them all the way to the edge of the beach, where Beau and Yasha are approaching. They both look a bit older but more at peace, Yasha dressed in dark but less severe clothing, hints of Dynasty garb on the both of them. He also notices two figures walking a step behind them, looking a bit shy.
"I missed you!" Kiri crows, darting for the pair and hugging tight to their legs.
"Hey, Kiri," Beau says with a soft smile.
"Hello, Little Bird," Yasha says, giving Kiri a head scritch.
She coos cheerfully before darting back up onto her perch and scanning for signs of the others.
Beau looks at Caleb and wraps him in a tight hug, "Hey, Professor."
"Expositor," Caleb mutters, wrapping his arms around her and then doing the same to Yasha, who practically picks him up off his feet.
Beau kneels and hugs Veth, whispering, "Chaos Crew!"
"Almost." Veth states, "Hopefully, she'll be here soon."
Caleb looks past his dear friends and blinks in surprise as he spots Beauregard's Mother and younger brother TJ.
"Oh, uh, hello, thank you for coming." Caleb mutters, rubbing the back of his head, "I don't know if you remember me. I'm Caleb Widoghast."
Veth narrows her eyes slightly at Beau's mother: "Veth Brenatto."
"Clara, I do remember you," she remarks, nodding to them both briefly.
"Good, because I-" Veth begins only for Beau to place a hand on her shoulder.
"Down, Veth," Beau remarks, earning a chuckle from Yasha.
"Fine," she remarks, still giving Beau's mother a bit of a stink eye.
"Please, make yourself comfortable. There is some food and drink nearby, and blankets to spread out as you wish," Caleb states.
"Thank you," Clara says, turning to leave the four of them while TJ hangs back next to his sister, looking up at her uncertainly.
"Go have fun." Beau says, pointing to Luc and Kiri, "Those are the other kids I was telling you about, just don't get into too much trouble, okay?"
TJ gives her a shy grin, "No promises."
And then runs off, Caleb noticing the small sticks that he wears across his back.
"A chip off the old block, eh?" Caleb asks as Beau throws an arm around him.
"Not exactly, way more shy!" Beau states, looping her arm around Yasha's as Veth grabs his hand, "Four of the Nine, any words on the others?"
"Not yet, but they'll come," Caleb says.
"Good, I brought you all flowers from our garden." Yasha states, holding up a new book, filled to the brim with dried flowers, "You both look very good."
Veth smiles: "I'm with my family, and even more are on the way; I'm wonderful."
Caleb nods: "It will be good to see everyone again."
"Speaking of everyone," Beau states, unlooping her arms from her partner and friend, "Yo, Shakaste! I think it's past time you and I compared notes on some things."
Shakaste turns from his story to Luc and the other kids, the former getting dragged away by Kiri for a conversation with TJ, while Twiggy looks around him and her face widens in a deep grin.
"I mean, I agree, but I thought this was gonna be a day of fun, not work?" Shakaste remarks with a knowing smirk.
"I can do both," Beau says with a shrug of her shoulders as she walks towards them.
"I have notes too!" Twiggy cries, darting towards Beau and beginning to ramble, while Yasha turns and walks towards Yeza, the pair beginning a softer conversation as Yasha, ever so gently gives her hand out for Molly to play with.
Caleb and Veth end up sitting shoulder to shoulder on the beach, waiting and watching as their friends and number of children mill about them and are deep in conversation, when the sound of a firework going off draws all of their attention.
There is a collective jump amongst the party, the more martial figures immediately going on the defensive, with Yasha pushing Yeza behind her only for it to be quickly revealed to be Kiri once more, tearing away from Luc and TJ, now shouting.
"Jester! Jester! I missed you!"
Not a moment later, Twiggy is peeling off as well, with Veth, Caleb, Beau, and Yasha at a more sedentary step behind as approaching them arm in arm is Fjord and Jester, wide smiles on their face, Nugget loping ahead of them and teleport tackling Luc, who falls with a laugh as the dog begins licking his face.
Behind them, walking arm and arm is The Gentleman and Marion, followed by Orly and Vandren, and next to them, to Caleb's surprise, is Caliana.
"Kiri!" Jester cries out, sliding to her knees and wrapping the young Kenku in the tightest hug and spinning her about, revealing the swaddled bundle on her back which giggles in surprise at the momentum.
"And Twiggy!" Jester cries, drawing the gnome into a tight hug as well before ping-ponging to her friend with deep, tearful hugs and cheek kisses, going from Veth to Yasha, to Beau, and then to Caleb.
"Veth, so, about the Detective Agency...I'm sorry that I've been so busy...but." Jester began as she hugs her.
"Don't worry, Jessie, I'm glad you're here," Veth says, hugging her tightly.
"Yasha, my god, you look so beautiful! I missed you so much!" Jester cries, running her fingers through flower-filled hair.
"Thank you, Jester, I missed you too." Yasha states with a soft smile as she looks down over Jester's shoulder into the teal face of a small Tiefling toddler, the hint of a tusk coming in on the left-hand side, "And this little joy."
She tickles the bottom of his chin, eliciting a laugh, a smile widening on her face: "Hi, Charlie."
"Beau!" Jester cries, pulling her into a bone-cracking hug.
"Hey, Cutie." Beau returns, hugging her back and patting her cheek.
Jester giggles and then turns to hug Caleb, a soft but deep embrace, "You look very happy, Caleb."
Caleb whispers back, "I am happy. So very, very happy."
Fjord walks up next, looking down at Veth: "Veth."
Veth looks up at him with narrowed eyes, "Fjord."
They stare at each other for a moment before wrapping each other in a hug, "You look good, Fjord."
"I feel it." he returns, "And so do you."
Yasha and Fjord clap hands together with a smile while Beau comes in on the other side and punches him playfully on the shoulder.
"You know neither of those hurt as much as they used to." Fjord states with a grin.
"Good, where's Kingsley?" Yasha asks.
"Well wouldn't you know it...the tricky bastard went off and made himself into a pirate." Fjord said with a laugh, "I...I don't know if he'll be here."
Yasha looks down a bit crestfallen, "Oh."
"This does mean, though, that I need my old first mate back if she has an inkling to come to sea, just for a bit." Fjord said with a slight smile, looking to Beau.
Beau smiles and shares a look at Yasha, who shrugs but smiles softly. "Maybe, maybe."
"Nice to see you again, Caleb," Fjord says, pulling him into a hug.
"Nice to see you too, Fjord," Caleb says.
"Gangs almost all here; it's been quite a while, hasn't it," Fjord says.
"It has." Caleb agrees as he watches Jester place her son into the arms of her mother and then scoops up Kiri and twirls around with a laugh.
"Mighty fine to see all of you again, ain't that right, Miss," Orly says, nodding to each of them and nudging Caliana.
"OH! Yes, of course. Hello, again, Mr. Caleb, Beau, Yasha," Caliana states, with a nervous bow before looking at Veth and opening her mouth a bit awkwardly.
"It's Veth; good to see you again, Miss." Veth says with a smile, "How have you been?"
"Well, I..." Caliana begins, blushing slightly, only for Jester to spin by interrupting.
"We found her when we stopped her in Port Demali! Kingsley did actually, and then we caught up, and Fjord managed to convince her to join our crew, and she has been very helpful with the magic things at times like you were Caleb, and sometimes she scares the living daylights out of people that try and steal from us!"
Calianna blushes deeper, "I don't mean to."
"She's a good crewmate, and a good friend, speaking of which." Fjord says, turning to the older man beside him, "Vandren, this is my family, not everyone, but most."
Vandren gives them all a once over, "Eclectic group. Makes sense. Nice to meet you. Any drink to be found?"
"Yes, right over there," Caleb says, pointing towards a large picnic table.
"Right, Orly, let's get to it," Vandren says, clapping Fjord on the shoulder and heading over, followed by The Gentleman, who gives each of them a respectful nod, kissing his daughter on the cheek as he passes.
Marion smiles at them all, "I'm glad to see you all healthy and hale. You've all had quite the journey."
The assembled Nein shared a look, "That we have."
Jester smirks and then speaks up, "Speaking of which..."
She enters into a tirade of her and Fjord's most recent adventurer's interrupted at times by Fjord and a more tentative Caliana, while the others listen, sitting down as the sun hangs lower and lower in the sky, Veth's students heading for home, leaving the children adjoined to the party alone to chase each other, play fight, and ride about on Nugget. Charlie spends much of the time in his Mother or Father's lap, occasionally being passed to Yasha, who at one point ends up holding him and Molly in a moment of what Caleb could only describe as awed bliss, as their respective parents got drawn away by something.
A while later, Luc turns to trying to entertain them, showing off the few cantrips he'd learned to the other kids, including the assembled Shusters, and TJ. Kiri makes a game of picking at him after a bit.
As he begins talking about how strong he will be, Kiri walks up and pokes her beak directly into his ear.
"Kiri! Don't embarrass me in front of my apprentices!" he cries with a bit of a blush as Kiri made a joking kissing sound, gesturing to Molly and Charlie who stared at the pair in the muddled, joyful confusion that is Toddlerhood as they rest on their respective parent's laps.
"I don't think a little peck is all that embarrassing." a low voice states, drawing the assembled Nein's attention to a tall figure, his staff glowing a low pink, a wide smile on his face as Caduceus Clay approaches with several others in tow.
"Sorry, I'm late," Cad says, not even pausing as an elated Luc races for him and jumps into his arms, "I had a few friends to pick up."
Calliope waves, "I'm just his tagalong."
Behind her stands Nila and her son, Keg, quickly dashing out a cigarette and looking more than a little awkward, with Reani at her shoulder.
"Hello again," Nila states with a soft smile as the other curious youngsters readily approach her son.
"Long time no see, heard y'all did some really good work." Keg states with a smirk, sharing a look with Beau, walking over, and hugging Veth.
Reani darts over to Jester, wrapping her in a hug, then several of the others, cooing over the babies for a second before tackle-hugging Beau and then Caleb.
"Hey, Reani," Beau says, looking a little awkward but still happy to see her.
"Hey guys, also thank you, Caleb, for sending him my way."
"Him?" Caleb queries, a bit confused.
Clay walks up, hugging Fjord deeply, and then Jester and Yasha: "God, it's good to see you all again, but as I said, I had some friends to pick up."
And out of the shadows, melting into view with a soft yet nervous smile on his face, comes Essek Theylas.
"Hello everyone." he states, eliciting a few gasps and a tackle hug from Jester, "And let's just say Reani, and I have been working on...seeing all the colors and shades as it were."
He gives Beau a pointed nod.
Reani smiles, "He's a sweetheart."
Caleb gets to his feet, walking over to Essek with a cautious smile, "Welcome back to the Mighty Nein."
"Glad to be back...if just for a little while, it will be good, to..." he pauses, looking deeply into Caleb's eyes, "Take a bit more time with you."
As Jester lets him go, Essek slowly glides towards Caleb, and he feels their fingers intertwine, a soft smile growing on both their faces.
He turns and notices a few smirking faces amongst his friends, while the adjoining members are beginning to shuffle about and begin conversing, Reani and Twiggy hitting it off like an unending wildfire, while Keg mills about before choosing to sidle up to Caliana and begin asking her questions, Shakaste sits down next to Caduceus and begins to query him on how everything is going in his neck of the woods.
Fjord looks around at his family as several fires roar up around them. TJ, Kiri, Luc, the Schusters, and Asar are sitting around their own cooking marshmallows, watched by Clara, who has found herself the subject of affection for Nugget, his large head now splaying across her lap. Jester is sitting between Fjord and her Mother, Charlie asleep on her lap, head on her mother's shoulder, with her and Fjord holding hands. Beau is leaning against Yasha, next to Yeza, holding Molly while Veth sat between him and Caleb, with Esseek on his other side, their fingers just the faintest bit intertwined. A bit back from the fire, behind Fjord and Jester, Nila, Cad, and his sister are leaning forward, Cad's hand resting on Fjord's shoulder. Calianna sits next to Fjord, while Reani and Twiggy sit across the fire from Yasha and Beau. Vandren, The Gentleman, and Keg are deep in conversation at the nearby picnic table while Shakaste and Orly are seated between the Nein's fire and the kids, the former humming along as the latter plays some softer music.
"Gangs all here finally." Fjord remarks, "And on a beautiful night too."
"Well...almost all of them are here," Yasha states, somewhat sadly.
"No, everyone." a familiar voice states, as coming across the sands is Kingsley Tealeaf, with Marius in tow.
"Hi there, Angel, there was no way I was missing this party, especially since Joybuzzer reminded me every day about it," Kingsley states, kissing the top of Yasha's head as he walks by, doing the same to Jester and then clapping Fjord on the back and gently hugging Caliana as she scoots over.
"You too?" Essek asks with a knowing smile.
"So it would seem." Kingsley returns as Marius walks by, headed for Orly.
"Kill anyone yet?" Fjord calls out after him.
"No, Captain." Marius returns with a sheepish grin.
"Pity, good to see you still breathing, Lepual." Fjord states with a smirk.
"Likewise, Captain," Marius states, falling into a seat beside Orly.
Keg turns at the arrival of the newest figure and does a triple take before walking over and clunking to the ground next to Reani and staring at him.
"You...are making me extremely uncomfortable," Kingsley states with a smirk.
"Yeah...sorry, this is a little weird, honestly." as she turns to Beau, Veth, and Caleb, and mouthed, "Why didn't you warn me?!"
Beau blinks, "Sorry."
Kingsley chuckles, "Right, this is awkward, but I've got time to catch up with whatever that is and the rest of y'alls stories in a moment. Cause I need a fucking drink!"
He crows that with a laugh and a second later, he is mimicked by a surprised Kiri which is then picked up by Luc, who instead starts yelling: "Well, get a fucking drink then!"
He and Kiri begin to chant that back and forth turning it into a bit of a song, which Orly chuckles at and begins to play a bit of a jig, eliciting a few smirking laughs from the others, while Kingsley blanches a little bit.
"I feel like I'm a bad influence," Kingsley states as he stands up.
"Oh, we all are." Fjord agrees.
"Most of us." Cad amends with a smile.
Caleb chuckles, gripping Essek's hand a bit tighter as he smiles as well, listening to the chaos begin to pick up around him, as Kiri and Luc begin to dance around them, drawing others to join them as Orly begins to play in earnest, joined by Marius, as he draws a lute from his back. First Beau and Yasha, then Yeza and Veth holding Molly, then Fjord and Jester with their son between them, Marion and the Gentleman, Keg shrugs and begins tapping her foot while Twiggy begins dancing by herself, twirling in a flurry of spinning skirts, leaving Caliana, who is quickly offered a hand by Reani, taking it with a vibrant blush' Kingsley looks about before offering Cad a hand with a smirk, who shakes his head just looking about contently. Kingsley shrugs only for Calliope to vice grip his hand and twirls him away while Nila and her son are the last to stand up and dance, with TJ joining his older sister and her partner. Caleb shoots Essek a questioning look, who smiles and stands, resting his forehead against his silently, before in the moon and fire-light, missed by all but a cloaked green figure at the edge of the revelry their chins tip up towards each other into a soft, gentle kiss.
Caleb is glad to be home.

I hope that this holiday season finds you healthy and happy! May the joy of this holiday season last all through the coming year! Love and Hugs to all!!!
Tumblr media
Christmas had always been your favorite time of year. When you were little, you loved decorating the tree, sing Christmas carols, and of course waiting for Santa. You still loved this time of year, only now it was watching your kids do all those same things. Alexis, now five, and Lucas, three and a half, were yours and Sid's pride and joy. The two were overjoyed for Christmas this year and even though you hadn't celebrated American Thanksgiving yet, they were all geared up to decorate the house.
One of your first holiday traditions when you first started dating Sidney had been to always decorate one tree together, and you'd continued that every year since then. This year, with Sid's schedule and the kids' anxiousness, you were going to be trimming the tree much earlier than normal. God love your husband, as he carried all the boxes of ornaments in, as well as the tree from the garage where you had them stored. The ten-foot monstrosity fit perfectly in your family room, which apparently was a pain in the ass to put up as you'd caught Sid twice almost cursing in front of the kids.
"Daddy, I get to put the star on again this year, right?" Alexis asked drawing her father's attention, as he was putting the last piece of the tree up. "Lukey is still too small."
"Am not," your son, who looked the spitting of his father shouted back.
"Lex, I think Lukey is big enough this year to give it a shot." Lucas stuck his tongue out at his sister who had her arms folded into a pout.
 "But Dad…"
"But Lex…" Sid mocked in the same whiny voice as his daughter, then he picked her up and zoomed her around the room to make her smile. He was a sucker for his little girl and she had him wrapped around her pinkie.
"Me too, daddy, me too," Lucas cheered as he wanted in on the fun, and of course Sid happily obliged.
"That's not fair," Alexis pouted again this time stomping her foot in emphasis.
"Alexis Catrina Crosby, if you don't change that attitude young lady, you can march all the way upstairs and not join in any of the decorating." You finally told your daughter, for sometimes she needed that stern voice to keep her in check, especially when her father doted on her. "And remember Santa is watching." That threat always seemed to work magic this time of year.
A lone tear leaked out of her eye, as Sid made his way over to her; Lucas firmly attached around his neck. He crouched down to his little girl. "Mommy's right. You've got to put the star on the last two years. It's time for Luc to have a turn." He remained at her level and Lucas slid off his back and over to the box where the star was almost gloating if a three-year-old could do just a thing.
Alexis pulled her lip out, this time in sadness as she pleaded into her father's deep brown eyes just like her own. "But…but I want to do something special too."
"And you will princess." Sid looked over to you as if you were supposed to have the magical answer to that.
"How about you put the last ornament on the tree. Daddy will leave a spot way up high so he has to lift you up to put it there." Her lip pulled in and suddenly there was a huge grin on her face. You had a feeling it was more about having your husband hold her up in his arms than actually putting the star on. The two seemed to fight for his attention all the time when he was home. The long road stretches killed both father and children, and if you were being honest they were hard on you as well. Thankfully, Sid only had a few short ones here and there before Christmas break, so the kids should be fine. "Well, I think we need to get decorating this tree. What do you think?"
"Yeah!!!" The kids cheered, Sid, joining in. There were a ton of ornaments to put on the huge tree that was once decorated purely in shades of gold. Now it was more of a hodgepodge of colors. There were dozens of Mickey Mouse ornaments from their trips to Disney, along with Paw Patrol ones which seemed to be Lucas' favorite at the moment. There were also ones with their little hand and footprints from when they were born. The tree held all of your life with Sid together. There was one from your first Christmas together, a few that you'd received to commemorate your wedding, and one for each child's birth. Though your favorite had to be your specially made ones with each family member's name on it. You had ones made for both Sid and your parents as well. They were the ones you loved the most putting on the tree as looking at their name brought such great memories of each person. "There's only one ornament left, and it's Alexis'." She came over and took her pink bulb, which had been hand-painted for her, and walked over to her dad.
"Alright, little one. I saved you the best spot at the top, so everyone can see your name up high." She was grinning like a Cheshire cat as Sid picked her up and then walked up a couple rungs of the ladder to get to the right height. This was the part that always made you nervous. The kids could get wiggly from time to time and the last thing you wanted was for them to cause your husband to fall. You weren't worried about the kids, Sid would do everything in his power to keep them safe, it was him you had to fear for. Sid held her out to the tree and it took her a minute to get the ornament in the right place.
"It looks so pretty, daddy. Good spot." He carried her down the ladder, then went over to his little man.
"Ok, Lukey, you ready." Lucas nodded enthusiastically. He had the star in both hands, as Sid took him up farther on the ladder. Lucas reached his little arms out, stretching as much as he could to get it on the peak of the tree. It took him two tries but he finally did it, albeit crooked, but that was no problem, as you'd fix it the moment they were in bed. It's something you'd had to do the last two years with Alexis as well. "Well, are we ready to turn on the light and see how it looks?" Sid asked, already knowing the answer he was going to get from the children, and they didn't disappoint with their enthusiastic cheers. He flipped the switch and the tree lit up as bright as the sky on the fourth of July.
"Yay!" all of you cheered and clapped.
"It's so pretty," Alexis cooed and you had to agree, even though forty percent of the ornaments were on the lower three feet of the tree, compliments of your children, but it was simply perfect.
"I think this is the best one yet," Sid commented, while he slid his arms around your midsection. There was nothing better than this moment you thought as you watched Lucas's eyes just light up, as he gazed at all the twinkling lights, and saw the giddy smile on Alexis's face.
"I think you're right," you said turning so that you could kiss Sid sweetly.
"Can we have hot cocoa and cookies now?" Lucas asked while he tugged on both yours and Sid's legs.
"You bet bud," Sid replied, even though it would be you making the kids' favorite holiday drink. You scooted out of his arms and headed to the kitchen, while the three of them put on a holiday movie. "Don't forget the extra marshmallows, Mommy." Your husband was sometimes the biggest kid of them all.
By the time you made it back to the family room, they had all claimed their favorite spot. "I saved you, your seat by daddy," Alexis said all proud of herself.
"Thanks, baby girl." You passed out the hot cocoa or lukewarm cocoa in the kids' case, then set the plate of cookies on the end table by your husband.
"Did you bake Christmas cookies already?" he whispered, as he saw the Santa shaped sugar cookies on the plate.
"As if I had time. I called the bakery and had them made."
He took a bite of one before handing one to each of the kids. "Not as good as yours but they'll do for now."
"I promise you'll get mine closer to Christmas."
"Mmm…and do I get your other cookie when the kids are in bed tonight?"
You raised your eyes at his double entendre. "I guess we'll have to see, won't be." Though you both knew that he'd be getting your baked goods, so to speak.
Thankfully, Sid had steered the kids toward watching Frosty the Snowman, so after the half-hour was up, you trotted them upstairs for bath time. Sid claimed he needed to 'watch film' for tomorrow's practice, so he skipped out on the nightly ritual, but made it upstairs in time to tuck the kids in for the night. "Night daddy." You heard Alexis say, as you had finished tucking Lucas into bed. Sid brushed back a lock of her hair before bending down and kissing his little girl goodnight.
"Night, baby girl. Daddy loves you."
"Love you too daddy." You walked in then and saw Alexis's eyes grow heavy.
"Goodnight, my sweet angel," you whispered, kissing her forehead. "Love you."
She yawned, then grabbed her teddy bear and hugged it tightly to her chest. "Love you, mommy." Sid grabbed your hand and the two of you snuck out of the room, closing the door as she fell fast asleep.
 "Lucas asleep?"
"Yep, he went down pretty easy tonight." Sid had said goodnight to him first and went to read Alexis a story as you did the same for Lucas. "Poor lil guy was tuckered out from all the excitement."
"We make beautiful kids together, Mrs. Crosby."
"That we do, Mr. Crosby," you answered as you headed back downstairs hand in hand with your husband. You'd been trying for baby number three, the last year, but not having any success. It had been easy previously. In fact, you hadn't even been trying when you conceived Alexis. Lucas, you had planned down to the date, so that Sid would be home in the summer to help you both children. You'd automatically assumed that number three would go just as easily, but here you were twelve months into it and still not pregnant. You tried not to think about it too much, but every now and then it would get to you.
You shook yourself, as you hit the bottom rung, taking yourself out of your melancholy. "Cold?" Sid asked, as his arms came around you. "I think I know how to warm you up."
He somehow maneuvered you both into the family room, where he had a fire going in the fireplace, with blankets and pillows all around it. "Watching film eh?"
The signature smirk of his, the one he always gave in the locker room during an interview came out. "Had to surprise you somehow." There was a bottle of wine and two glasses there as well, and Sid poured you both a glass before settling down amongst the cushions with you. "Merry early Christmas, my love," he toasted and you clinked glasses.
The wine went down smoothly and was the perfect ending for what was the perfect day. You took your free hand and captured Sid's jaw, bringing his lips to yours for a heated kiss. It was the perfect mix of Christmas time with the combination of chocolate and wine mixed together with the essence of your husband, and you found yourself falling more in love with him than you'd ever been. He ended the kiss, all too soon for your liking. "Think the kids are sound asleep yet?"
You already knew that Lucas was, but Alexis was probably still teetering. "One for sure, let me check on the other." You still had a monitor hooked up in Alexis's room, so you pulled it up on your phone. It wasn't the video that told you she was asleep but her soft snores. "Yep, she's out. Snores just like you."
"I do not snore," he said rather indigently.
"Um…excuse me, Mr. my nose has been broken so many times I can't count. Yes, you do."
"Well, maybe a little but you love it." When you didn't respond right away, his hands went to your sides to tickle you. You fell back against the pillows laughing, Sid following you down until his mouth captured yours silencing your giggles.
It was some time before you broke apart for air. "Ok, I do love your snores but then I love everything about you."
This wasn't new information to him. "I love you more though."
 "Not a chance."
"Guess I'm going to have to prove it." His lips were back on yours then, devouring you. Sid made quick work of disposing of your top, throwing it off to the side, before kissing his way down to your lace-covered breasts. He knew how to make you moan out, as he took one nipple and sucked it into his mouth. Your hands roamed under his shirt, feeling the rippled muscles along his back. They worked their way to his front and his well-toned abs before undoing the fly of his jeans and sliding them down. "Eager, my love?"
Your hand slid down to his cock, where he was rock hard. "Apparently, I'm not the only one." You stroked him in your hand, twisting your wrist as you went; a move you knew he loved. Sid let you have your fun for a bit before taking control of the encounter. Before you knew what was happening, he had you stripped bare laying on the blanket, legs spread for him.
His fingers toyed between your folds, making you even wetter than you already were. He entered you in one swift motion and your back arched at the feel of him inside you. "You feel so good baby," Sid moaned out, then started that slow rhythm of his hips you both loved so much. You weren't sure you would ever tire of this, the feeling of his lips on yours as he slid in and out of your body. It was something that was special that first time and every time after when you made love and you knew somehow that, that would never change.
Sid's fingers found that your clit, alternating between putting just the right amount of pressure there and flicking it back and forth. After all these years, he knew your body as if it were his own, knew what you needed, when you needed it, and knew how to take you over that edge. You were there now, legs trembling as your climax hit and your pussy squeezed him like a vise. He pumped two more times into you before spilling himself deep inside you with a grunt of satisfaction. He dropped kisses to your lips as he came down off his high, then rolled to his side taking you with him.
"That was heaven," you whispered, trailing your fingers up and down his biceps.
"Mmm, it always is with you." He reached behind him and pulled a blanket over your bodies. "I have to say this has been one of the best Christmas decorating days we've ever had."
"I have to agree," you hummed softly feeling your eyes grow heavy despite the early hour of the evening.
"I should probably take you to bed."
"Not yet, let's just lay here for a little longer." Laying there reminded you of the old days when it was just the two of you, and while you loved your two little munchkins, sometimes it was nice to just have Sid all to yourself like this.
His fingers trailed up and down your spine, causing you to snuggle deeper into his chest. "Whatever you want baby." Sid closed his eyes then, just savoring the moment like you were, and despite being the one that said you should move to the bedroom; he was the one to fall asleep first.
The week and a half leading up to Thanksgiving was hectic, as the Pens played at home. You took the kids to as many home games as you could, but it was always a production, by the time you packed up everything you would need for the three to four hours away from home. As soon as Thanksgiving was over, the team was back on the road and you were prepping for Christmas, rushing off to buy gifts while the kids were at preschool. Well, Lucas really didn't have school, but you did send him two days a week to a daycare like environment, so he would be used to being around kids more. You were running around so busy, some days you literally lost track of time.
When Sid wasn't on the road, he was there to help you in any way that he could; taking the kids out to play in the snow, while you baked, or taking them to the rink to skate while you wrapped and hid the gifts. Every free second was spent making sure that Alexis and Lucas would have the best Christmas ever. It wasn't until you looked at the calendar that you noticed you were late. It was December nineteenth, and your period hadn't come yet. Dare you hope that baby number three was finally going to come to fruition? There was only one way to know for sure.
Those five days to Christmas Eve flew by in a whirlwind. Sid had away games until the twenty-first, and then one home one on the twenty-third. There were so many last minutes things to do. Sid's parents and sister came into town on the twenty-second and were a huge help. They were currently upstairs bathing both kids for you, while you and Sid were planning out when to put the presents as it was now Christmas Eve. "I'm not sure Alexis's dollhouse is going to fit under the tree," he whispered, as he had finally finished putting it together with his dad. It was currently out in the garage with a huge sheet over it.
"You're the one who had to get her the biggest one there is." He was always spoiling your children.
"I know, don't start." He said sliding his arms around you as you stared at the tree. "It should fit in that corner over there." Now, that he figured out where the ginormous playhouse could go; he shifted his focus to the tree, looking at all the ornaments that had been hanging for the last six or seven weeks now. You smiled to yourself waiting for him to notice one in particular. "I feel like something is different on there."
"Hmm," you mused just swaying back and forth in his arms. "I think your right."
"What's that one right there?" He said pointing to the ornament that was at his eye level. "I don't remember it."
"Maybe you should have a closer look." He peered down at you curiously, now knowing that you were up to something, before gliding you both over to the tree so that he could have a closer look. "Is that…Are we…" You could hear the excitement in his voice before he turned you around to confirm his suspicions.
You nodded before saying, "Yes, it's my pregnancy test, and it took you forever to notice I put it there."
 "What? When?"
"It's been on there since you came home from Toronto. I've been waiting for you to notice." He looked dumbfounded for a moment before scooping you up and spinning you around, his lips locking with yours.
When he finally put you down, there was a huge smile on his face. "I can't believe we're finally having another baby."
"I know me too. It's not the timing we were looking for, but I think you'll be happy with the due date." Curiosity got the best of him and you could see him trying to do the math in his brain to figure out what day it would be. "Well, you always said it was your lucky number," you hinted to him.
"No way!" He shrieked out. "August seventh?" You shook your head, yes, and he spun you around one more time before the patter of little feet and big feet came barreling in.
"What's all the excitement about?" Trina asked before even the kids could get a word in.
"We're having a baby!" Sid told her and everyone came in for hugs, congratulating you both. He knelt down to the kids' level. "Are you excited, that you're going to have a baby brother or baby sister?"
"Can we have twins? Kennedy Jenkins has twins and she says it's fun cause she always has someone to play dolls with." Sid just laughed at his daughter, then tickled her.
"I don't know about all that princess. Let's just be happy that you're getting to be a big sister again." He grabbed Lucas, then came off the ground throwing the toddler in the air. "What about you? Are you excited to be a big brother?"
Lucas just smiled, before looking his dad in the eye and grabbing hold of his cheeks. "I'm excited for Santa." Sid burst out laughing and you all joined in. Santa was definitely rating much higher than the new baby.
"I'm excited for Santa too, bud," Sid told him, then slid his free hand around your waist. "Thanks for making Christmas come early, Mrs. Crosby." Your lips found his in a sweet and loving kiss.
"Thanks for making me a mom again, Mr. Crosby."
He winked at you, that devilish smirk on his face. "Anytime," he breathed out, then added, "This is definitely the best Crosby Christmas yet."  .

Gracie’s Birth Day
A/N: Lol, the boys are absolutely useless and thank god Cora showed up when she did. And they refer to each other as girlfriends in this cause they get married later so yeah! Hope I got Cora’s character right!
“Dad, so help me god,” Lucy snapped as she glared up at her dad. “If you cook that chicken I’m going cook you.”
Remy glanced down at his very hostile and hormone filled daughter, who was sitting on the couch as he put away the groceries. He knew the smell of chicken specifically made her throw up, but damn.
“I won’t honey…Uh…is Cora coming over today?” He asked, deciding that wouldn’t be a question that would get her mad.
“Later. Right now she’s enjoying being able to walk without help.” Lucy grumbled. She wasn’t even mad at her girlfriend, just annoyed that walking was exhausting now with how big her belly was now. She was due to pop any day now, so she was very uncomfortable and irritated all the time rather than her usual sweet self.
Just then Eugene and Beau walked through the door, loudly arguing about something Lucy didn’t give two shits about to pay attention to. She rolled her eyes at their noise, but didn’t say anything as she went back to trying to read a new mother book that her dads had gotten her. She was right at the part about postpartum symptoms when she suddenly felt weird. Her stomach started to feel tight and started cramping, causing her to drop her book and gasp in pain at the sudden sharpness.
“Luc?” Eugene turned around to look at his sister, who was now doubled over (well, as best as she could with such a big stomach) in pain. “Oh my god. Are you leaking???”
“Honey? Are you okay?” Remy rushed over to her.
“I think…OW FUCK…I think it’s a contraction…”
“Oh shit. Oh damn. What do we do?” Beau started rambling. “Do we call an ambulance? No, we just drive you right? Do I need to call someone for you?”
“Hey!” Remy clapped for everyone’s attention. “Alright, I’m gonna get her into the car. Beau, go grab her duffel bag in her room. Eugene, call Kurt and tell him Willa needs to stay there with Anja for a bit. Then call Cora to let her know, and whoever else your sister wants.”
“I DON’T CARE JUST TAKE ME TO THE DAMN HOSPITAL.” Lucy shouted as the contraction started to calm down and she could relax.
After a chaotic trip to getting into the car, and of course a stupid traffic jam and having to wait for a room at the hospital, Lucy finally got into a delivery room and was now waiting for 1. Her girlfriend to show up and 2. For this baby to get out of her.
Beau was the only one panicking, he was constantly asking Lucy if she needed ice chips or anything, and he gasped at every time she got a contraction, which only stressed her out more so Remy took him out to the waiting room to find Raphael and wait for Cora. So meanwhile, Lucy got to spend some time with her brother.
“I wonder if you’ll still be fat afterwards.” Eugene snickered before dodging her hand to smack him.
“You’re so lucky I can’t get up on my own.” Lucy lightly laughed, still kinda in too much pain to laugh.
“Seriously though, how are you feeling?” He asked, sitting in the chair next to the bed.
“Uh, terrified? Exhausted already? Nervous?” Lucy scoffed. “I can’t do this. Are you kidding? How is this gonna come out of that?” She gestured to her stomach then…lower.
“Uhh…apparently y’all women stretch a lot down there, I don’t know.” Eugene shrugged, uncomfortable talking about a woman’s vagina during childbirth, let alone his sisters. “So uh, did you come up with any name ideas yet?”
“Yeah, I have a couple in mind.” She smiled.
“Lay them on me, I wanna vote.”
“Okay, Annie.”
“Are you raising a gun slinger? No.”
“Isabelle.”
“Too basic.”
“Monica.”
“She was the worst character on Friends.”
“Nathalie.”
“That’s cute.”
“Paulina.”
“Imagine being an adult named Paulina. Don’t do that to your daughter.”
“I’m sorry, who are you to tell me what I can name my child?”
“Well there’s only one problem, my dear sister. I didn’t hear a Eugenie or Eugenia in that list of options.”
“Cause it’s not one.”
“Uh! I will name one of my kids after you!”
“And that’s very sweet, but as much as I love the name Eugene, I don’t like Eugenia as much. It’ll be her middle name.”
“…it IS hard to live up to my fabtastic name.”
“Did you just say fab-OUCH.” Lucy winced at a contraction, and Eugene quickly grabbed the cold towel on the table and put it on her sweaty neck, and pet her hair to soothe her as best he could.
“Whatever you choose to name her, I am so excited to meet her.” He wrapped an arm around her shoulders and let her squeeze his hand in pain.
“I am too. Just wish it was under better…circumstances.” Lucy sighed as the contraction started to end and she leaned back into the bed. “God I’m so tired already.”
“LUCY?? LUCY?! LUCY!” A girl dressed in white and looking like she had just been put through a shredder ran into the room.
“Cora??? What happened to you?” Lucy stared at her frantic girlfriend.
“Was battling an Edward Scissorhands wannabe, doesn’t matter, my dear. How are you feeling? How far along are you?” She asked as she shoved Eugene aside and sat in his place, taking Lucy’s hand in hers and rubbing her thumb on the back of her hand.
“Uh, excuse you?” Eugene scoffed pettily, which both girls ignored.
“Okay, I guess. Nurse said I was dilated at 4 centimeters, so, almost halfway through that.” Lucy sighed. “But I’m so scared, I don’t know what to do with a baby!”
“Yes you do!” Cora laughed sweetly. “You read all those books, talked to Juliette, went to Lamaze classes, it’ll be okay. And I’m right here to help, darling.”
“Do you want ice chips, Luc?” Beau poked his head into the room.
“NO BEAU, IM FINE. I DON’T NEED YOUR DAMN ICE CHIPS.” Lucy yelled, annoyed that he was asking for the forty millionth time.
“You really should have some, dear, you need to stay hydrated.” Cora said softly.
“Okay.” Lucy tiredly smiled at her.
“What?!” Beau’s jaw dropped as Cora got up and took the cup of ice chips from him.
“Uh, Luc, I invited Ronan to come just so you know.” Eugene piped up, everyone ignoring Beau’s offended face as Cora helped Lucy eat some ice chips.
“Oh perfect, he’s probably gonna make a rap about this.” Lucy rolled her eyes and groaned. She did like Ronan, she really did, but the dude was a bit too much sometimes.
She whined in pain when another contraction washed over her, Cora rubbing her back and kissing her on the head to comfort her. Lucy shut her eyes and leaned into her girlfriend, nearly falling asleep once the contraction stopped.
A couple hours of waiting had passed, Lucy had just listened to her girlfriend talk about anything as she tried not to focus on all the pain. Her dads had dropped in a few times, Ronan had arrived and asked about a million questions that Lucy didn’t have the energy to answer, and Beau kept asking Cora if Lucy needed more damn ice chips. Then a nurse came in to check up on her, and said she was dilated at 9 centimeters and it was time to get the doctors and start the process of childbirth.
The doctors had tried to get everyone to leave the room, but Eugene threatened them until they let him, Ronan, Remy and Raphael stay with Lucy and Cora during this. As the doctors told Lucy to start pushing, each of her dads and brothers held one of her hands and she broke every single one of them in the first hour of pushing. She hasn’t broken Cora’s hand though, cause while she was in pain she didn’t want to hurt her so she was able to hold back as best she could.
“Honey, you have to breathe.” Cora whispered to her as she massaged Lucy’s shoulder with one hand.
“I am.” Lucy said, whilst not breathing.
“You have to keep pushing, Lucy.” The doctor delivering her baby told her.
“I can’t!” Lucy sobbed as she fell back into the bed, already so exhausted and in too much pain.
“You got this Lucy!” Ronan cheerleaded from the hallway.
“SHUT UP.” Lucy yelled at him, not in the mood for his shit.
“Darling, we need you to push, okay?” Cora encouraged, cupping her face gently. She looked into her girlfriends tired, scared and pain filled eyes, but hers remained calm and loving for her. “You’re doing amazingly, sweetie, you can do it.”
After a lot more pushing and a lot more cussing out Ronan and Eugene and a lot of support from her girlfriend, Lucy finally gave birth to her daughter. They quickly cleaned her off before handing her to Lucy, who immediately started crying with joy as she looked down at her baby. Cora also began to cry from joy beside her, reaching down and gently tucking the blanket around the tiny newborn as she rested her head against Lucy’s. Lucy didn’t even pay attention to doctors sewing her up, she didn’t even hardly notice since she was so overwhelmed with joy to care. After a few moments, the baby started to open her eyes and Lucy smiled as she looked into the black and red eyes of her baby.
“Hi, baby!” Lucy smiled even wider as tears poured down her face. “We’re your mama’s.”

Dec 18th, Friday 05:28
Jens waited. Patiently watched the slow rising and falling of the half uncovered bare chest of the boy next to him. It was soothing to see the ease behind the movment.
He was uncertain when exactly he had woken up, given the everpresent darkness of the winter. But he couldn’t have gotten much sleep. That was quite evident in the heaviness of his eyes. At least it must have been a little more than the last couple of days. Not that it didn’t fell awfully short of a proper rest.
With a sigh on his lips, he let his gaze wander up his boyfriends chest, past the dip above the collarbone that gave way to the curve of the slim neck he knew blind. Jens had buried his face in it more than he could count by now.
His eyes reached the jawline and then the chin and lastly the lips, slightly parted. His boyfriend was just very faintly snoring. A smile dared to cross Jens, until his boyfriend stirred awake, Lucas’s eyes blinking open with a low groan.
The alarm had rung.
“I’m sorry.”
The whisper came fast over Jens’s lips, faster than he had anticipated, leading Lucas to turn onto his side. Only to face Jens with an odd confusion at the first words exchanged this early friday morning. However last night must have caught up with Lucas, as it visibly dawned on him how they had left off.
A deep frown graced his boyfriend’s face.
Jens had turned yesterday’s argument over and over again in his head, unable to find peace with it when it painfully accurately ended up the way it did every single time. He hated his past self so much. Therefore Jens had vowed to be a better person, better than with everyone he had been before, and just apologise right away. It had worked last time Jens had fucked up. He prayed it would be enough this time around as well.
Lucas hadn’t gone home. His boyfriend had stayed. Jens had felt the weight dropping from his shoulders the second he had seen the younger boy already fast asleep upstairs in bed at half past eleven. It must surely count for something, right?
“It‘s okay. I absolutely understand why you were so frustrated. I really should have just done it.”
Jens decided that he didn’t deserve his boyfriend.
“No, it is not okay. It isn’t your responsibility. It’s mine alone. My house, my things. You helping out so much shouldn’t be the norm. And more than anything, I shouldn’t have yelled at you like that, especially over such a small thing.”
The two boys fell quiet again for a long second after Jens’s apology. He didn’t believe he should be let that easily of the hook. He should do more than say a couple of words. Jens was sure he had hurt Lucas with his anger over forgotten laundry.
“Thank you.” Jens breathed out. This was really what he wanted to say all along.
“For what?”
“Being here?” Jens replied unsure of what exactly made him feel all the things he felt, when he constantly found himself looking at Lucas. Overly grateful for very stolen glance he got, without getting caught by blue eyes staring back.
“Being you, really. Thank you for staying.“ Jens took another deep breath before he continued. „Thank you for not leaving me. I don’t think I could have managed the last couple of weeks without you. And thank you for just accepting all of it. I’m afraid I wouldn’t have done the same if the roles were reversed, to be honest. And to know that feels shit.”
It was true. The moment he came to acknowledge the conclusion Jens had reached last night, after he had joined Lucas in bed, with a mind racing lacking a goal, had been shattering. Jens wouldn’t have stayed around his previous girlfriends. Jens hadn’t stayed around for Robbe, when his best friend needed him most, without a mother and home to stay.
He knew he wouldn’t have stayed for Lucas if it had been the younger boy’s mom instead.
If he hadn’t already cried as much already, he certainly would have again as he had watched the dark shadows of the branches outside his window. Without tears, he only felt hurt, until exhaustion lead him to fall asleep.
“Well, aren’t we lucky then, that I am the one to help you out.” Lucas said as a matter of fact, a slight smile tugging at the corners of his lips. Maybe Jens could cry now? He felt like he should, given his heart was beating fast and loud up to his throat.
“Are you like godsend?“ Jens asked into the space between them. „Honestly. Did you cut of your wings or something. Because I seriously don’t understand how you showed up at my doorstep the moment I needed you most. A person to lean on, to trust. I don’t get it.”
Lucas just laughed back at him, amused by the crinkling of his eyes, as his eyes were still focused on Jens. He felt genuinly dumbfounded at the reaction. He knew it didn’t sounded cool or well worded, but still, it was the most honest he could be at the moment. How else was he able to convey his feelings in a better, more accurate way?
“Sorry.“ Lucas quickly apologised, calming steadly down. The smirk never left. „You are just so cheesy. What movie did you get that from?”
“My own. I’m writing it as we speak.” Jens teased, his confidence brought back, after he had to endure to have been laughed at. Jens couldn’t help but join in on the pleasant joy his boyfriend showed. Perhaps it was a little funny. It almost made him forget about last night. He hoped it would do the same for Lucas. He prayed his boyfriend could forget about it as fast as he could forgive Jens.
„You didn’t know shit about me in October. And when you found out, you somehow decided that this would be a great first relationship experience to have? Why, Luc? Why?“
It was a question Jens had asked himself so often til now, it was burned into his skull. He just couldn’t believe a person to be capable of glossing over the fact, that this was a miserable thing to get oneself into. Willingly on top of it.
„I don’t know. It just felt right, I guess.“ The younger boy said with a shrug of his shoulder.
Jens just decidedly stared at the boy in wonder. Again the voice inside his head reminding him that he didn’t deserve his boyfriend. This was gonna become a common thought, Jens feared.
Lucas didn’t apparently minded the fast pace of change between them. Screaming and hurting in one moment. Forgiving and joking in the next. Because Lucas simply leaned over, kissing Jens out of his stupor, before the younger boy got up.
„Come on, you can’t be late to school two days in a row.“ His boyfriend stated and Jens unfortunately had to agree, as he watched Lucas throw on a hoodie and socks.
„Lucas?“ Jens called for him, as the boy was up and almost at the door, to leave for the bathroom. Jens wasn’t sure where the drastic need suddenly stemmed from. It was the wrong time for it. It really was. Especially after yesterday and everything Jens had done and said. This morning hadn’t been long enough to let the boys forget about it. But Jens just had to say it out loud. Let Lucas know, before the younger boy would leave the room. So Jens sat cautiously up from his spot on the bed, biting his bottom lip.
„Yes?“
„I love you.“
He could see the moment it hit Lucas, as the boy paused in his movement. The hand raised to open the door, but never grabbed the knob, instead hovering between the wooden plane and the boy’s body, as he turned slowly.
Jens shouldn’t have said it. He strongly believed to have been right in his assumption, until Lucas’s face lit up in adoration, a grin reaching from one ear to the other.
„I love you, too.“
And then the younger boy opened the door and left.
Jens just fell back into the pillows, too bewildred to get up right away.
He could probably take another minute. He needed to take another minute.

Description: Andy loves his daughter with all his heart but he also loves his wife and his son. But when the shocking truth of what really happened to the young dead teenager comes out, he would do anything to protect his family.
Warning:Mentions of sexual assault and murder. I don’t know if this is a needed warning but my character Lucy is practically deaf without her hearing aid’s so whenever I write about signing that is why. Some details of sexual assault. Brief mention of eating disorders.
Note: This isn’t actually a spoiler to any of the show, I am only making a fan fiction. Andy doesn’t have a daughter I just decided to add my own original character Lucy into the One shot because I wanted to do my own little twist on the show. Please do not read this if you haven’t started watching the show yet or are thinking of watching the show as there may be a few small spoilers along the way. Like I said I just wanted to make a fan-fiction. Jacob is Lucy’s younger brother in this fiction. Jacob is 16 and Lucy is 16. The are twins.I have also aged up Ben to 16. I also changed the time and how he was murdered to prevent any spoilers what so ever.
“Laurie you have got to be kidding me right? You can’t honestly think that Lucy, our own daughter could have killed Ben? She’s a kid and she barely knew him.” Andy protested as he looked towards his wife in total utter shock, how could his own wife even look him in the eyes and accuse their deaf 16 year old daughter of murder? It just didn’t make any sense to him. No matter how hard he tried to understand her reasoning for her to believe that their own daughter, their own flesh and blood, could be behind the death of the 16 year old boy Ben. Yes their son Jacob was on trial for the boys murder but for some reason that was different. But Andy couldn’t believe that either of children would ever be capable of such a crime. Especially his little girl. No matter how Old Lucy was, to Andy she would always be that 4 year old toddler who was tugging on his leg begging him not to go to work and trying to reason with him that she was a big girl who could sit with him during his meetings. Ever since the devastating car crash that had claimed most of her hearing, Andy had been more overly protective of her. She was his little girl and forever would be.
After a couple minuets of just staring at her in total disbelief, Laurie finally managed to speak. “I know she’s just a kid but so is Jacob! I’m only saying that if she was actually innocent then why is she refusing to tell us where she was on the night of that kids murder! Think about It Andy, she was gone for hours and didn’t even come home until around 3 in the morning, and she didn’t even go to school. All I’m saying is that we need to maybe try and get her to tell us where she was...and by we I-” she began but just as she was about to finish explaining herself Andy swiftly cut her off. “You mean me....that’s kind of typical, you accuse our daughter of murder yet you're too scared to talk to her yourself.” At this point he wasn’t exactly afraid of insulting or offending his wife, he was just insanely fed up of people blaming his family for something that they didn’t do. It was bad enough that the internet and social media was twisting everything that their son did, but now his own wife was pinning all the blame on to an ‘innocent’ young teenage girl. Andy took in deep breath, probably the deepest that he’s taken in his entire life, before finally speaking once again cutting his wife off before she could even get in a word in. “Alright I’ll talk to her later when she gets home, shes probably still riding her bike right now. At least it give me a couple of hours to figure out what I’m going to say, I can’t exactly blurt out ‘your mother thinks you're a murderer where were you the night of Ben’s murder?” He spoke slowly. God, this was literally a whole fucking mess.
“Thank you Andy, I know you don’t want to do this, but if there’s even a chance that she knows something that could help Jacobs case then we need to know” Laurie explained as she wrapped her arms around Andy’s waist pulling him closer to her as she hugged him tightly, just trying to defuse the argument that was taking place. Of course not realising that what she had said was only fuelling the argument even more. “You really only care about Jacob right now? What if Lucy did know something? Would you really only care about Jacob? actually don’t answer that, I’m going out. I’ll see you in a few hours” And with that Andy just left the room grabbing his car keys and walking straight out of the house. Right now he needed some space to actually think of how he would handle the situations at hand without completely destroying his relationship with his daughter.
During the hour that Andy had spent driving around his home town just trying his hardest not to break down or scream whilst also trying to get his head together with everything that had happened, he finally decided to go get take out food for him and Lucy. Of course he’d buy enough for the entire family but it was mostly just for his daughter. Maybe food might actually help the situation, or maybe it would just make everything a hundred times worse but he had to try. There wasn’t exactly much that he could do to ease the situation. He hadn’t ever been in a situation like this before so for him it was all new.
________________________________________________________________
Three hours had past by the time that Andy had finally worked up the courage to speak to Lucy, who had gotten home around an hour after Andy’s argument with his wife. He’d spent those extra hours just staring at the sealing wondering how the hell he was going to look his precious little girl in the eyes and ask her if she had murdered a 16 year old boy over 2 months ago now. This was the worst situation that he could ever get himself into. Maybe he shouldn’t have even agreed to talk to her about his wife’s stupid conspiracy that maybe she had something to do with the murder. It just didn’t make sense to him how they both had two completely different prospective on their children. Yes he loved both his children the same, when he found out that he was not only becoming a father to one baby but two! oh god he was over joyed. And from that moment on he promised to protect both of his children no matter what happened, but now...oh no he had failed. He had well and truly failed.
Taking in a deep breath the man stood up, running a hand through his slightly longer hair until he finally walked into the kitchen grabbing both Lucy’s hearing aids from the counter top (signing definitely wouldn't be the way forward, it would only make things worse) and the cold pizza (she always preferred it cold, He never knew why but she did) before he finally managed to walk up to Lucy’s door slowly. Of course he didn’t knock since she wouldn't properly be able to hear the door or him entering. He did have her hearing aids in his hand. “Hey sweetheart, can we talk?” He signed making sure he was taking his time with each and every single move of his hands ensuring that the teen could actually understand what he was actually saying. After receiving a nod from Lucy he quickly handed over her hearing aid’s letting her put them in before slowly opening the pizza box, a soft sympathetic smile planted on his face. This was definitely not going to be easy but right now he had no other choice, he had to prove Laurie wrong. Or at least try. Right now he couldn’t even think of a way to start this conversation.
Lucy stayed quiet for around 2 minuets as she stared at the pizza box smiling weakly before just looking away almost like she didn’t want to eat the food. That definitely wasn’t like her, or at least it never used to be. For the last 2 months that Jacob had been getting investigated Lucy had barely eaten anything unless her parents got her downstairs to eat and even then it was a struggle for her to even eat 6 bites without saying that she was full. Although that could have just been something that she’d been struggling with since the car crash a couple years ago and Andy just hadn’t noticed till  now. “Luc? you okay?” Andy asked with a worried expression washing very his usual smiley face. Now he was just filled with concern for the poor girl. “come on baby speak to me? Please? I just wanna help you.” He added. But still there was no reply. It was like she was scared to speak to him which she never used to be. There used to be a time when Lucy never hid anything from him, where she would always talk to him and always confined in him when she needed the comfort. but now he’d be lucky to even get her to speak to him.”Lucy...I’m worried about you. Please just talk to me.I promise that you’re not in any trouble. All I wanna do is make sure that everything is okay. I love you so much you know that right? ” Still no answer. “Will you at least eat one slice of pizza? You don’t have to eat it all, just one slice” He spoke soothingly placing a hand on her knee and gently rubbing it with the pad of his thumb as a sign that he was there for her if she needed him. This time he finally got a response when she nodded picking up one of the slices of cold pizza and began to nibble on it, not a vocal response but it was a response none the less.
After around half an hour of Andy just sitting there looking at Lucy without any communication what so ever Lucy finally spoke. “I lied when I said I didn’t know Ben that well...” she spoke as tears already welled up in her eyes already preparing for the painful questions that were sure to follow after what she'd just admitted. Of course due to her difficulties it did take her a while to finally speak but at least she was talking which was a definite plus. Andy stared blankly at the poor girl as he placed his hand on hers this time taking it into his and just trying his hardest to stop the disappointed frown from being to prominent on his face. “What do you mean you were lying?” He asked making sure that he was being gentle whenever he spoke. If he said something out of turn then she would most certainly stop speaking to him.”Ben was...well he was erm....he was harassing me for months...” her voice sounded broken as sh forced the words out.
Andy instantly began to feel his emotions get the better of him at the sudden mention of harassment. No way in well would he of allowed a teenage boy to harass his little girl if he had knew what was actually going on.  “what do you mean by harassing you? Was he stalking you? Was he texting you? continuously calling you? what was he doing?” he spoke trying hard not to raise his voice since he really didn’t want to scare her into not even telling him anything else about this awful situation.
It took everything inside of her not to break down at this point as she took in a deep breath, still not looking at her father. she couldn’t not right now. “ it started off as just name calling at first...he’d erm..he’d call me...call me...sexy or just hot. It didn’t really faze me to begin with but then...then he started to grab me when I was walking past him...Jacob saw him go to grab my waist once and he flipped out...that’s why Jacob...came home with a black eye, because Ben punched him when Jacob tried to get Ben off of me...It wasn’t until 4 months ago that he.....that he..” she began but her eyes began to water, tears now beginning to fall from her eyes as she began to panic which made Andy instantly pull her into his arms. Something he always used to do when she was younger and needed a hug from her father. It was his way of showing how much he cared about her. “I know this is an awful thing to ask but I have to..did Ben ever touch you...sexually I mean?” Even asking made him cringe, the fact that he even had to ask this made his heart want to break in millions of tiny little shards. Just the thought of someone touching his little girl like that angered him but that side of him remained silent.
“There was a er... a night that he tested me...I don’t even know how he got my number but when I saw the message I instantly got scared...The message said something along the lines of If I didn’t go and meet him then he’d beat up Jacob....I didn’t want that to happen....so...so..so...so I erm....I went to see him...” Just from the way that she was stuttering over her words showed how difficult this was for the poor teenager. It was hurting so much to have to dig all of this up again but of course she knew why he was asking all of this. it wasn’t until now that she actually finally managed to talk to him about this. Andy’s jaw clenched as he stared at the ground not daring to look at his daughter right now, too afraid that he’d break if he saw how this was affecting her. “Its okay baby take your time...I wouldn’t ask any of this if I didn’t care okay? What happened when you met up with him? if its too hard for you to say then sign it, you know i can understand you. I won’t judge you if you sign it” This time his voice was much calmer and gentler then before, even if he did want to punch a wall or even just cry for failing to protect his little girl from the demons that he himself had been running from. However, hers seemed to be a whole darker then anyone could even think that it actually could be. Lucy once again stayed silent as she just buried her head into her fathers chest as she sobbed not really trusting herself to talk or sign anything just yet. She needed comfort right now and Andy was more then willing to give that to her, like he said before, he would do anything for his little girl. It was just a part of being a parent. Of course he already kind of knew where this conversation was going since in his mind there was only one way that this could go. But maybe he was wrong, just maybe he had all of this wrong and nothing happened between them.
Once again it was around 10 minuets went by before she pulled away from her father, pushing herself away enough so that her hands were actually able to be seen completely, at least her father knew sign language so it could be a tiny bit easier for her to explain why she had been so depressed recently. “He just kind of started calling me sexy at first, talking about how much he wanted to fuck me.But then he pushed me up against the wa-” Half way through explaining what had happened that horrid night she had to stop signing, too afraid to say the words in fear that her father wasn’t going to believe what she was saying was actually true. All she wanted was to go to sleep and forget all of this but right now that didn’t exactly seem possible. At least she had her father there to try and ease the situation as much as physically possible which wasn’t exactly easy but it was helping a little.
At this point Andy was struggling to even comprehend what he was being told, at some point his eyes had closed right? He was imagining this? It had to be some crazy nightmare that he would wake up from soon and pretend didn’t actually happen. No way could this have actually happened to his precious little girl, he couldn’t believe it but at the same time he knew that she wouldn’t lie. “ Lucy did he rape you that night? Is that why you came home crying?” He asked as softly as he could even tough all he wanted to do was get the answers out of her as quickly as possible. But if he rose his voice even just the slightest it could startle her meaning that he would most certainly not get any more answers out of her. But as soon as Lucy nodded slowly to his questions his heart wanted to burst. A sudden rush of guilt filling his body entirely. Now he really had failed to protect his own daughter from the monsters that everyone had warned him about. “Why didn’t  you talk to me baby?” He asked now slowly raising his voice but not too much that would end the conversation entire. Just the thought of his daughter going through that hell all on her own, especially for the amount of months that she had been keeping it to herself.
“Because Jacob told me not too...” She spoke this time with tears now rolling down her eyes, all of her strength going towards preventing herself from falling into a state of panic that she knew she wouldn’t be able to get herself out of in time. “He said that It was too late to tell you...I didn’t want you to hate me...” She spoke slowly, but every time she opened her mouth to continue to speak her heart seemed to drop a little further out of her chest. It was physically breaking her to even say all of this to her father. But she’d started to tell the truth now so it wasn’t exactly like she could back down. So before Andy even had the time to ask any questions Lucy managed to work up the strength to continue. It was around 7 minuets later she finally managed to actually get her words out. “That’s not the only thing I’ve been keeping from you....” This was where her entire heart began to pound, If you listened closely you’d probably be able to hear the way her heart was beating heavily in her chest. “He tried to erm.... do it again 2 months later....or maybe it was sooner...I can’t remember but....I got scared....He had erm...knocked me to the floor...He was on top of me....He’d just ripped off my shirt....and I was trying my hardest to push him off of me but his grip was too strong.....I didn’t know what else to do...I was so so scared dad....I was terrified...He was going to hurt me again and I just....I couldn’t let it happen again...I just couldn’t......So.......So I erm....I erm...” She paused taking in a deep breath as she pushed away the tears that had managed to escape from her eyes, this was not the time or place to have a panic attack. She needed to at least try and stay calm to get the rest of her words out. It was only right that she tried.
After a good 5 minuets of silence, allowing Lucy to finally get her words out without having a huge panic attack like she almost had a couple minuets ago. “I grabbed whatever was closest to me...I think it was a brick...or maybe a rock I can’t really remember...But....But I hit him with it...twice I think...maybe three times...that must have been enough to kill him because.....because he wasn’t moving....he just fell onto of me...bleeding...from his head....I just remember screaming as I pushed him off of me...” At this point she couldn’t stop the tears that had now finally fell from her eyes, beginning to block her vision as she continued to try and speak but she couldn’t, her heart was broken. Now she just continued to stare at the floor as she pushed herself further away from her father not wanting to see his face contorting into anger. She just couldn’t watch that happen not now not ever. So she didn’t dare look at him. But after a couple of seconds of trying to stop her panic she finally once again managed to get herself to speak. “Jacob.....he Erm....he tried to help me cover it up.....I think he saw what happened ....or maybe he didn’t...I can’t remember what happened next. All I remember after that is running through the door, getting straight in the shower and crying...” and with that Lucy just broke down into floods of tears now not being able to speak at all.
Andy’s heart practically stopped as he heard those words leave her mouth. How the hell could he have not noticed how distraught she looked when she had walked through that door that night or how she had been shaking so harshly when he had asked her if she was okay? Why hadn’t he hounded her sooner? Or better yet why couldn’t he have been there to prevent all of this from happening to Lucy in the first place. If only he’d have known about Ben harassing her all those months ago then maybe just maybe none of this would have happened. He could have made sure that Ben had the fitting punishment that he deserved. But since he couldn’t be a perfect father and actually protect his daughter, Lucy had to live with the guilt of killing her rapist. Something no child should have to live with. “We’ll get through this Lucy....I promise you...I’ll find a way to get Jacob out of this without incriminating you I promise” was all he could do. There was nothing else he could say. All he wanted to do was hurt Ben for what’d he’d done but unfortunately that had already been dealt with.

The Perfect Date...with some extra help...Lucci & Kaku
Request: Rob Lucci and Kaku taking their S/O on a date...plus how they would deal with children...
Extra little note: For this scenario, the S/O is merely a citizen of Water 7...it wouldn’t make much sense for A Cp9!S/O in this case, but the S/O does know about CP9 and the mission...also, I did use female pronouns for the S/O....
Extra extra little note: Kaku’s takes place pre-devil fruit, but theirs a bunch of little foreshadowing for CP9 in his...this was purely intentional. I love CP9.
Rob Lucci
Tumblr media
You and Lucci had been together for a couple of months, and you couldn’t have asked for a better Boyfriend...
Although he was a member of CP9, stationed here in Water 7 to search for some sort of secret weapon...the two of you had fallen for each other, and Lucci was willing to give it a try and make it work not wanting to let you go. Lucci was still new to the whole emotions, dating, love thing...but he tried his best. The two of you had gone on multiple dates all ready, and each one was better then the last.
However, the date that you had planned tonight had you a little nervous.
You hadn’t had the chance to talk to Lucci, as he was still at work at Dock 1, but an emergency had come up with your older sister and she had to go take care of it, thus leaving you with her 6 year old daughter, your lovely little niece. You had tried to call Iceberg, even tried Paulie so that they could relay a message to Lucci that you would have to cancel your plans as something had unfortunately came up...but you had received no answer.
Your niece, Ella, was usually a joy to have over...but with the emergancy she would be spending the night for the first time and she was quite upset over the fact that she wouldn’t be returning home with her mother until at the very least tomorrow night.
You had offered to take her to get ice cream, and go see some of the Yagara’s which she loved immensly, which had taken her mind off things, but now she was starting to get impatient as you got ready. The doorbell rang sharply at 6:00...and you stopped for a moment as you grabbed your house keys and bag full of supplies for Ella.
“I’ll get it! Maybe mommy’s coming home!” Ella cried out, racing down the stairs. You called out to her to wait, but she had already beat you to the door, swinging it open.
Lucci stood stockly at the door, freshly changed and flowers in hand. He met your eye’s for a moment as you walked down the hall to great him before turning his eyes down, seeing Ella blink up at him confused.
“Who are you?” Ella said, in her arms was tucked her small little stuffed green yagara, fondly named Squid. Lucci looked back up at you, a confusing look on his face. You gave him a sheepish grin before kneeling down next to Ella.
“I tried to call earlier...” You admitted, “But my sister had an emergancy, and there wasn’t anybody else that she could ask to watch Ella...my niece...I’m sorry about our plans but I won’t be able to make them tonight....”
Lucci nodded to you before looking back down to Ella who had tear’s forming in her eyes as she rubbed furiously at them, clearly upset that this was not in fact her mother coming home early for her. Lucci debated for a moment before he found himself kneeling down in front of the young girl.
“You look a bit upset...” Hattori spoke for Lucci, not feeling comfortable speaking for himself with another person around. “Little ladies shouldn’t be sad...perhaps some flowers might make your day a bit better?”
You had to do a double take as you heard Lucci....speak softly, holding out the bouquet of flowers he had with him to your young Niece. She gave a large sniffle, looking up at him and the flowers before gently taking the large bouquet into her arms. The flowers filled her arms and she let out a sniffly giggle.
“Did your pigeon just speak mister?” Ella asked, Lucci gave a soft smile.
“I am Rob Luc-I mean...I am Hattori, and this is Rob Lucci...he’s a friend spending time with your Aunt Y/N.” Lucci spoke through Hattori, the pigeon moving a wing to gesture to him. Ella let out a large laugh...clearly excited at the prospect of a new pigeon.
“So your Auntie Y/N’s boyfriend!” The young girl exclaimed, both you and Lucci blushing furiously under the sudden implication of the young girl. Lucci gave a hesitant nod, before your eye’s softened.
“Hey Ella, what do you think about having Mister Lucci come with us to get some Ice cream and visit the Yagara’s?” You asked your young niece, her eyes lighting up at the suggestion.
“Really!!!” The young girl exclaimed, her enthusiasm clearly renewed at the prospect of another person joining them.
“Really...that is if Mister Lucci, wouldn’t mind...we may even be able to find something tasty for our little pigeon friend as well...” You said, looking up at Lucci with a puppy dog expression upon your face. Your boyfriend looked at you and then to your niece, who happened to be mirroring the exact expression on your face.
“Well, I had other plans, but I see that this is rather important...let’s go!” Lucci said through Hattori, Lucci stood up, and after taking the flowers, setting them inside a nice vase, the three of you set off.
The three of you found a nice ice cream stand set up along one of the streets. After receiving the cool treats, the three of you began walking along heading to your next destination, a yagara pool a couple blocks down.
Barely a few feet away from the ice cream stand you glanced down to your niece, her eyes were narrowed staring intently down at her ice cream. Lucci walked on her other side, looking down to her as well.
“Ella, sweetie, whats the matter?” You asked. The young girl looked up at you before frowning.
“I don’t like it.” She said.
“The ice cream? But you asked for chocolate?” You said.
“Yeah...but I don’t like it...I want a different one!” The young girl exlaimed...getting upset.
Y/N was at a loss, not wanting to stand back in the line to get another ice cream cone...
But a hand wrapper around the cone in Ella’s hand... and swapped it for a different cone, holding green ice cream.
“Perhaps this one would suit you better?” You heard Lucci speak through Hattori.
Ella thought about it before sampling the ice cream, she giggled at the minty taste.
“I like it! Thank you mister Lucci!” The girl smiled before tugging insistently at your hand after readjusting Squid under her arm. The little stuffie tucked securely once more.
“Are you sure?” You asked, leaning closer to the man. “I thought you told me you didn’t like chocolate things...”
“It’s fine...you didn’t want to stand in line again did you? I’ll be fine.” Lucci whispered softly, his own voice. You gave him a grateful smile, the three of you eating silently. Ella tugged again at your hand. You hadn’t realized that the three of you were already at your next destination.
“Look Auntie Y/N...theirs a green yagara! It looks just like ” Ella cried out pulling away to run far ahead to the railing of the Yagara pen. She jumped up to the next rail, and the next before leaning carelessly out to touch the yagara swimming by. Her little sandeled feet rose, pushing her higher, before slipping off the rail she was using to stand on.
You let out a sharp gasp, breaking into a run to try and grab her before she slipped into the Yagara pool. But just as she tipped forewards, arms flailing around to catch herself, Lucci gripped the back of her shirt, pulling her safely into his arms.
You ran  up to your boyfriend, gripping his arm and raising a hand to touch Ella’s cheek. She was clearly startled, her eyes wide and starting to brim with tears.
“Ella! What were you thinking...it’s too dangerous.”
“I-I-I just wa-wanted to see the pretty Yagara!” Ella sobbed out. “I di-didn’t think I would slip!”
You gave a small sigh, gently running your fingers through her hair.
“I know, but you have to be careful...your lucky Lucci caught you.” You said. The small girl trembled in his arms, before breaking into a fresh round of sobs.
“B-b-but! I Lost Squid!” The 6 year old cried.
Sure enough, looking over the railing, the little stuffed yagara bobbed in the water, waterlogged. You winced knowing that you were going to have to be the one to go in there and get the stuffie if you had any hope of having a calmer night.
Hattori however, gave a trill, flying off Lucci’s shoulder flapping insistantly over the water, was able to grab the stuffie, pulling it out of the water and dropping it at you and Lucci’s feat.
You picked up the stuffed animal Ella watching you like a Hawk, but seeing her stuffie out of the water was quite content and buried her teary face into Lucci’s chest. You watched it drip water, knowing it would need a nice round in the dryer before Ella could have him back.
“Perhaps we should head home.” Lucci spoke through Hattori. You gave a nod before looking at your watch. It was already nearing 7:30 and by the time you made it home it would be a little after 8, Ella’s bedtime.
“It’s probably for the best..” You looked to Ella in Lucci’s arm, the slow rise and fall of her back indicating the young girl had promptly fallen asleep in Lucci’s arm, clearly worn out after her unusual day.
“Want me to take her?” You asked holding out your arms. Lucci gave you a smirk.
“Nonsense, you can have the waterlogged yagara...” He said turning around. You frowned, holding the drenched toy away from you as the three of you made the trek home.
You opened the door, letting Lucci carry Ella inside and you followed behind.
“You can set her in the guest room, her things are already in there” You whispered, Lucci nodded. You made your way to the wash room, throwing the stuffed animal in the dryer. The two of you met in the middle and you offered him a drink from the fridge.
You took a seat on the couch, Lucci moving to sit beside you, wrapping an arm around you. Hattori moved up to the perch you had hung up on the wall for him to rest on.
You gave a loud sigh before curling into your boyfriend’s chest. He gave a small chuckle at your weariness.
“Today has been impossible...” You admitted, Lucci rubbed a hand up and down your back. You pulled away enough to look at him.
“When did you get so good with children anyways...you were practically her superhero all night.” You teased. Lucci flushed and looked away grunting in response.
After that, the two of you lapsed into silence, merely enjoying the tranquility after the odd date. However as the clock struck 9, Lucci rose, you shuffling tiredly after him. It was time for him to return home and get ready for another day of work...not wanting to intrude tonight with Ella staying over.
Lucci gave you a kiss, you happily accpeting the small affection before pulling away, Hattori flying to your shoulder.
“I’ll see you at Blueno’s tomorrow?” He asked.
“So long as my sister can take Ella home...I’ll make sure to let you know...” You admitted, Lucci nodded moving to open the door...
“Are you leaving already...” A soft voice called tiredly. The two of you turned to see Ella walking down the hall.
“Ella, it’s past your bedtime...” You said softly, picking up the young girl, “And Lucci has to go home, he has work tomorrow.”
“Oh...Ok...” Ella said.
You wished Lucci a goodnight and he moved to leave, Ella waved at him as you walked down the hall...
“Good night Uncle Lucci...” Ella said tiredly...you faltered in your steps, but Lucci closed the door after wishing Ella a good night.
“Can I have Squid back Auntie Y/N?” Ella asked, you nodded.
As Lucci walked down the street, he felt a small pang in his heart the farther away he walked from you and Ella...spending the day with the young child, seeing Y/N take care of her...he wished desperately for once that he too could have the chance to have his own child...a wish he would never share with you for he knew deep down that he could never forgive himself if anything were to happen to himself on the job, leaving you and your child alone in the unfair world.
For now, he would settle for the memories he gained tonight, ones he would cherish forevermore.
After all, he was a proclaimed Uncle now.
Kaku
Tumblr media
Kaku finished cleaning up the rest of his station before wiping his forehead with a rag, the hot air only causing more sweat to bead upon his forehead.
The day was almost done and Kaku couldn’t be anymore excited, he had an exciting night planned with you and he was eager to begin with. When he heard Paulie call out the end of the day call, Kaku was one of the first people out of Dock 1, heading off to his home to freshen up and change before meeting you.
Before he could get very far, however Paulie called out to him. Kaku wasn’t one to complain, but he could feel a groan rising as he dragged his feet over to the other foreman.
“Don’t get so mopey, I have an important message for you from Y/N,” Paulie frowned.  Kaku narrowed his eyes. It wasn’t very often that you had to call to leave a message to him...you usually just came to Dock 1 to tell Kaku of anything of importance...the last time you had called was to ask him to pick up a few things as you had not been felling well...Kaku grew nervous, not wanting to have you be sick.
Kaku and Pualie stood in front of each other before Kaku frowned.
“Okay...what was the message then!” He said impatiently.
“Y/N called around noon, said that something had came up and wouldn’t be able to meet you tonight.” Paulie said. However the frown on his face caused Kaku to frown more.
“What arent you telling me?” Kaku asked, knowning that Paulie was also a close friend of yours.
“She sounded off...she was really impatient when I asked her what was up...but she couldnt say, and then said she had to go...” Paulie said, “I’m worried about her...so you have to go check up on her!”
Kaku frowned but agreed, running home and changing before racing over to your house.
Meanwhile, you had been having the longest day in quite some time.
A loud shout drew attention from the dinner you had been preparing, and you set aside some of the vegetables, rinsing off your hands before moving to your living room.
“GIVE IT BACK!” A cry rang out, and you winced as your ears rang.
“NOOO!” An equally loud voice shouted back.
“Alright...alright! What is going on in here!” You narrowed your eyes, hands on your hips gazing down at your current charges, your brothers 8 year old son and his 4 year old daughter were fighting over a bunch of zoo animals on the carpet. Mara, your 4 year old niece clutched a toy giraffe on her arms, not wanting to give it back to the waiting hands of your 8 year old nephew, Lukas.
“Mara took that toy from me and I was playing with it!” Lukas exclaimed, arms crossed and a pout on  his face.
“I want to play too!” Mara childishly replied.
“Lukas, you already have a toy in your hand,” Gesturing to the wolf clutched tightly in his hands, “Why can’t Mara play with the giraffe for a bit.”
Lukas frowned, but seeing his little sister happily playing with the toy he sighed and gave up.
“Fine.” He said, sitting back down. You smiled gratefully before going to return to the kitchen. However, a curt knock drew you in the other direction.
Opening your front door, you blinked confused at seeing your boyfriend standing on your doorstep.
“Kaku? What are you doing here?” You asked curiosuly...”Did you not get Paulies message...”
“Well...Y/N you see I did get your message, but Paulie was a bit concerned because you sounded off, so I decided to come down and check in...is everything ok?” Kaku rambled, clearly happy to see you.
You smiled at the sweet thoughts of your boyfriend, and you rested tiredly on your doorframe, a movement not unnoticed by your lovely boyfriend, he rested his hands on your hips and pressed a kiss to your forehead. But the sweet moment only lasted so long before a large sob rang out from the living room.
“LUKAS! NOT FAIR!” You head Mara scream. Kaku winced, his eyes wide at the loud voice.
“As you can see, I’ve had a bit of an eventful day, my brother dropped my niece and nephew off this morning, as they had to go to the hospital so that my sister-in-law can have the next little niece of nephew...” You sighed, “But there a bit rambuctious today...”
As if to confirm your statement, you heard Lukas shout before a large smash was heard, competely ignoring your boyfriends worried voice, you turned and ran down the hall.
Lukas and Mara turned, their eyes wide and their bodies frozen like Yagara’s seeing the sea train, before pointing fingers at each other and blaming each other, a once beautiful old vase of yours laying broken into many pieces on wooden floor in the corner thankfully...not on the carpet where they had been playing.
You felt Kaku come up behind you, drawing your niece and nephews attention.
“I’ll get the broom.” Kaku said softly, moving down the hall to the closet, he could feel your wrath brewing and wasn’t going to be part of what came next.
“What happened. Honest answers...right now.” You said.
“I wanted to play with Giraffe! But Lukas took him from me! So I threw his wolf, and it hit the pretty pot...” Mara said guiltily, tears forming in her eyes.
“Lukas, did I not just ask you to let Mara play with the giraffe!”
“Yeah, but I offered to trade her for the wolf, but she said no!”
“Giraffe’s are better!” Mara exclaimed, hands on her little hips.
“Not even close, wolves are better in every way!” Lukas cried out.
“ENOUGH!” You shouted, Lukas and Mara turned to look at you, shell-shocked at your raised voice.
“I have had enough. Lukas...go sit in your room. Mara, go sit in the dining room, I want silence...absolute silence.” You ordered, the kids quickly following your directions.
Kaku came back in, and when you moved to accept the broom, he chuckled,
“How about you go get something to drink for yourself, and take a break...I’ll clean this mess up and finish up on those dinner plans you started...” He said softly, kissing your forehead.
“Kaku, you don’t have to...I can hand-”
“I want to, Y/N.” Kaku said.
You sighed, but allowed your boyfriend to follow his own plans. You went back to the kitchen, taking four glasses down, looking into the dining room to see Mara staring at you.
Time to talk...
After taking some lemonade out, pouring some into each glass with some ice, you took yours and one extra and went into the dining room. You set the extra glass down in front of Ella, and she happily took a drink.
“Time to talk about some things.” You said. “You got mad at Lukas for taking the giraffe...”
The little girl nodded.
“So you decided to throw the wolf...”
She nodded again.
“Why?”
“Because I got really mad...”
“At Lukas...”
“Kind of...”
You frowned. Clearly something had been bothering your niece all day, as she was never one to act out in such a way. You heard Kaku move to the kitchen, the sounds of your vase being dumped into the garbage before he went to put the broom away.
“So why were you mad.” You said.
Mara looked at you, “Promise you won’t tell mommy and daddy?”
You nodded. She looked at you before raising her pinky.
“You have to pinky promise!” She said. You sighed, but followed suit with the little girl, shaking your pinkies.
“I’m really scared Auntie Y/N.” Mara said, shifting in her chair, “I don’t think I can be a good big sister...”
Ah...that makes sense.
“I want to be a really good big sister, but I don’t want to share everything with them...and I really don’t want to share mommy and daddy!”
“Why not?” You heard Kaku come in, both you and Mara looking at him. He leaned against the wall, his glass of lemonade in hand.
“What?” Mara sniffled.
“Why not share your little sibling with your mom and dad...” Kaku said.
“Well...what if they run out of love for me or for Lukas?” Mara asked.
“Nonsense!” Kaku laughed, “Mommys and daddys heart grow every time theres a new child.”
“Really?” Mara asked.
“Yeah! Their hearts fill up with love for every child, and extra so they never run out!” Kaku explained.  He looked at you before flushing under your soft gaze.
“So mommy and daddy, are still going to love me?” Mara looked back to you and you nodded.
“Of course, Kaku’s right!” You said, and Mara smiled once more. Kaku dismissed himself moving back to start on dinner, and you rose to move to Lukas but Mara gave a sly look.
“Auntie Y/N, is Kaku your boyfriend!” Mara exclaimed loudly.
In the kitchen you heard a sputtering cough. And you smiled.
“Yeah, and I’ll even tell you a secret!” You said loud enough to hear you. You lowered down to Mara’s ear, seeing a nose poke around the kitchen.
“He’s the best boyfriend ever!” You whisper-yelled. The nose slowly dissapeared and Mara let out a laugh.
“I’m happy for you Auntie Y/N!” Mara smiled.
“How about you go help Kaku, I bet he’d like some help with dinner...” You offered. The little girl was happy to get out of her seat and end her silence. You passed through the kitchen you smiled seeing Kaku lift Mara up so she could mix some stuff up in a bowl.
You went to the guest room, cracking the door open a bit. Lukas was sitting on the bad, rubbing at his eyes, red from crying.
“Hey buddy, want to talk...I have something you might like...” You said, entering into the boys makeshift room.
Lukas was glad for the lemonade, but didn’t meet your eyes.
“Something tells me you also might be a bit upset at our new arrival.” You inquired, the boy shrugged.
“Come on...you can’t hide things from your Auntie Y/N.” You said.
“Why do we have to have another sibling...isn’t Mara enough?” Lukas frowned.
You sighed.
“You know, I said that once too...” You trailed off, looking out of the corner of your eye, seeing Lukas look at you curiously.
“Really?”
“Yeah, me and your aunt didn’t get along very well when we were kids.” You said, thinking about your little sister. “But I wouldn’t trade her for anything...”
“Really?” Lukas asked.
“Yeah, Your dad had quite the job taking care of both his little sisters. But it was an important job, me and your Aunt had someone to look up to, someone who would protect us...”
“You mean, Mara and my new sibling are going to look up to me?” Lukas asked,
“Yeah, its your job to watch out for them...not all the time but every now and then they’ll appreciate it.”
“I guess I could give it a shot,” Lukas admitted. You gave him a pat on the back, assuring that he would be great at it.
“Can we come in?” You heard Kaku call out, you looked up as Kaku opened the door, Mara held in his arms, her arms wrapped tightly around his neck.
“Perhaps you two have something to say to one another.” You said.
“I’m sorry Lukas!” Mara said quietly, hiding her face in Kaku’s chest.
“I’m sorry too Mara.” Lukas said. “Next time you can play with the giraffe as long as you want...wolves are better anyways...”
Kaku blinked at the boys statement. But Mara peaked out.
“Nuh uh! Giraffes are the best!” Mara said.
You laughed but stood up,
“Enough, lets just get through dinner!” You laughed.
The four of you finished dinner together, You helped Kaku clean up, before relaxing together, Mara and Lukas playing together, having the two animals work together to save the other animals they had choosen, a sheep, an owl, a bull, and a leopard...an odd selection you thought, but nevertheless allowed it to continue.
Time went by quickly, and before you knew it, your brother came knocking on your door, the two of you walking together inside to greet his children. Kaku stood up, shaking his hand and introducing himself. The two made some small talk as you helped your family pack up, and your brother gave you a big hug before bringing his kids with him to finally go meet their new sibling.
Finally you and Kaku collapsed together onto the couch.
“Phew...I really owe you...” You laughed, but Kaku shook his head.
“It was nice...” He trailed off his eyes looking away.
“Kaku?”
“It was really nice to be part of a family...” He admitted, “It just made me think of having our own little family.”
He whispered the last part, but you heard it nevertheless. You flushed at the implication, but you leaned over him wrapping your arms tightly around him. You took a hand of his, interlacing your fingers with his own.
“One day...I’d like that...” You whispered. Kaku smiled, resting his head atop yours.
However, his smile fell as he though about the two children.
“How could they ever think a wolf and a giraffe could work together?” He muttered. You let out a long laugh at your boyfriend as the two of you drifted off to sleep together, a perfect ending to a unplanned perfect odd date.
But you wouldn’t have it any other way...

@empirefire / CALEB.
nott’s gift gives him grief for a long, long time. he knows her better than most ( though, uh, that’s complicated now too, isn’t it? ) through their time of partnership, has a strong idea of what kind of things she likes—but how does he come up with a gift for someone who can simply choose to have any little things she likes, to someone he’s so used to just… arranging things? giving things? sharing half of everything not explicitly given to him ( and a lot of that too, if they’re being honest, if she will take it from him ) on a day to day basis?
so he starts with the brenattos, collectively, first: for luc, an illustrated, simple book on the mechanics of weaponry that works as an introduction of engineering and physics in the guise of a topic that might interest the boy. for yeza… uh. there’s no appropriate way to put ‘ i am sorry that the people i was trained by, the people i would have become, coerced you into something that endangered your entire family ’ into a gift in the range of ‘ family friend, recently met ’: scientific equipment or note-taking materials is a little unimaginative, maybe, and hopefully taken care of by someone in the group with more right to be his friend—caleb decides on a pair of grey gloves, of hopefully better make than the man is used to, with subtle embroidery work along the outer seams ( they’re almost certainly too warm for nicodranas, and with that comes an unsaid promise to do everything he can to get them home once it’s safe, should they want to return )  to make them slightly more interesting, hopefully.
both gifts he hands to nott, wrapped and tied with less of a note and more of a name card on both of them, with no marker of the sender nor a greeting, in a neat pile under her own gift: wrapped in bright yellow paper, a leather roll of eight empty, thin glass vials for her to use when they’re given time again, and another set of leather bindings:  book covers, with flowers decorating the edges  ( most abstract, non-descript, but the ones in the corners he asked to be modified into edelweisses ), with both of her names burnt to the inner cover. the rest of the book is empty, hers to fill, with only a note pushed loose inside it:
THIS IS the first Winter’s Crest she has celebrated with her family in two years.
It’s certainly something to reflect on – how everything still feels so unreal; like a dream that won’t let her wake up anytime soon. They’re staying in Nicodranas for the holidays – Jester did want to spend time with her mother, after all ( and god forbid she brought The Gentleman along for the most AWKWARD family reunion, ever! ) – and so Nott follows along, reuniting with her family along the way. It’s unreal, she says – and when she wakes up at the crack of dawn before Yeza does, an abundance of thoughts rush through her mind: she shouldn’t be here, she should be completely herself before she returned, they should be doing something else; saving the goddamn world – her fingers dance in the air for a Disguise Self spell before settling back down on the mattress.
It takes a moment for her before she allows herself to gift herself this – a calm, humdrum morning; waking up with her husband and child; a morning in tanned flesh and skeletal touch wrapped in fleshy wrapping paper. It’s awkward when she gets up and minds herself around her son, making sure that he doesn’t stumble upon her and touch what isn’t actually there – breaking the illusion of her humanity; no, she doesn’t want to scare him off. It’s a day for joy and miracles – a day for presents for Luc and bonding for Yeza and her – and of course, it’s much different, this time around. This time, it’s no longer the three of them – no longer her and Caleb – it’s them and Caleb and the Mighty Nein. For a moment, she feels the bliss of what it’s like to have such a huge family. They exchange presents and laugh.
It sends jolts of electricity throughout her bones, the tingling sensation of sheer relief and happines that resonates in her bones. Luc rushes out of the room, Yeza in tow, and the happiness settles into melancholy as she looks at herself in the mirror. She spends an hour with them as they pass gifts to the Nein – and without the prospect of money looming over their heads, it comes easy: everyone has a unique gift, courtesy of father and son with the advice from the mother herself. Veth doesn’t look under the tree. She nudges Jester when she tears up, jokingly gives terrible advice on how to use her gift when Beau doesn’t know how to react, she ribs Fjord and smiles at Caduceus and gives Yasha a reassuring hug – and Caleb – she doesn’t really have a gift, really: she’s at a loss, too – the two of them always stuck close, always shared when they had the opportunity. Caleb often tried, but Nott always shakes her head and stands her ground and assures him that he can keep all of it, if he wanted – stubborn but set in her ways. She offers a gift, anyway – one from the family as a collective, Yeza wanted to knit a nice, warm scarf to keep him warm while Luc helped to decorate – and one from herself: a nice, leather-bound book about Exandria she’d spotted from one of the more elegant bookstores from uptown.
Caleb surprises her ( Yeza and Luc, really, not her – she’s been with him for long enough that she knows of Caleb’s habit with promptness and knack for gifting ) with their gifts. When he gives his gifts to her, he lowers himself to her level and presses it in her palms, letting her feel the weight of those gifts in her hands – it’s almost romantic; or, intimate, would be the word – and it reminds her of times when it was just the two of them: Nott and Caleb against the world. Her mind wanders, but she draws herself back with the pain in her lip. She nods and accepts it, tucking it under her arms, and thanks him.
Yeza and Luc come back, and Caleb walks off – and they return to their rooms, Yeza and Luc empty-handed and Veth full with presents. From Santa, she’d say – and then she laughs and says it’s all from Caleb.
It takes a moment of silence for them to take in the gifts that he’d gave when they get back from their own merry-making – Luc just nearly bolted out of the room to tackle Caleb with the tightest hug he can muster at five years of age, resorting to opening it immediately instead. They share a laugh – Yeza shaking his head, chuckling.
“He’s just like his father,” Veth jokes, and Yeza flushes with embarrassment, scratching his neck.
“You say that as if you never read,” he retorts.
“I don’t!” She chirps, and Yeza exhales with a noise that’s half-between a laugh and an exasperated sigh.
He receives his gift with two hands, dainty in his actions, and bows his head in gratitude in a way that’s almost too polite and stiff, but the glimmer of his eyes and the dimple in his cheek speaks wonders about the joy of getting new gloves – he’s just about lost his recently, and Nott had offered to get some – but she’d given him some brand new safety equipment: a nice golden apron and a pair of cool safety goggles that looked similar to Beau’s night vision goggles. The thought of those gloves? Slipped past her mind.
That leaves her gift – and she almost feels bad opening it in front of Yeza and Luc – feels that she should be opening it where no one sees it. She’s not too used to the ‘double life’ – not used to being Veth to her family and just Nott to her friends; and the gift that he gives her feels it’s completely to Nott – that she’s violating her privacy, that she’s taking something that isn’t quite hers – but it is hers, and that’s what makes her snort to herself while Yeza immediately crawls towards Luc as he goes to pick up his mother’s crossbow. Her husband, pleading to Luc in the background to please put the crossbow down, you can’t read and shoot at the same time.
But it’s the prying of eyes away from her and her alone that she sneaks out of the room and drops her disguise, pressing the gifts into her palms like Caleb did to all of theirs, and she sucks in a breath before she opens it.
Yellow, her favourite color – she notices the wrapping a second before it’s torn open. A vial roll – test tubes, she reckons, and she holds them up to the torch above her, the light glinting off of all eight of them. Beneath the roll is a heavier, thicker stack – and when she disassembles it, she sees the leather bindings, the flowers decorating the edges, and the slightest glint of silk white from the flowers at the corners. She delicately pries one of them open to see her names in the inner covers, caramelized amber on beige.
Nott the Brave Veth Brenatto
The simple, small note tucked in the inner spine of the cover catches her attention last – and when she picks it up in her hands she hears the door beside her creak, and for a second she holds her disguise spell again – before she lowers it down, eyes scanning the note.
for an adventurer, mother, partner, and most beloved friend. — caleb widogast    bren aldric ermendrud
An affectionate sigh escapes from her lips. Nott relaxes against the wall, resting her note-holding hands on her lap.
She’s silent for a moment. A few seconds – a few minutes – and then she packs the gifts together in the neat pile Caleb had assembled it in, and tucks the card into the pocket of her dress.
She goes back inside.

Luc, you get ALL THE COOKIES AND HUGS, BECAUSE YOU ARE THE BEST. You are an amazing writer, and I love your story and versions of the characters. Henry... I'm not sure what you would want other then me to leave you alone... I could help you out with something if you need me to? You probably won't actually accept a gift from me... I could try to get you a weapon or something?
(3/3)I am so close to fucking dying. Thank you, thank you,THANK YOU. SO MUCH!I never stop freaking about making mistakes, messing up the stories or have myversions not be enjoyable/consistent anymore and this sweetness is just-Don’t mind me, just curling up in tears, hugging you and not getting offanytime soon. Henry just rose an eyebrow at that outburst, which he deemed rather pathetic.Writing was… an art form too. But as he was much closer to the creativeprocess on this one, he could not really respect it. But oh well, it brought joy to some people, making it not ENTIRELY worthless. When he was addressed he inspected the Anon. “Actually… now that you offer it so kindly…” A little he smiled.“No worries, it is nothing bad. But I would politely ask you to work yourAnon magic to revoke the small event going on. It has not been in use for awhile anyways, but I simply would like an official end to it, for everyone’ssake. Thank you.” The Anon complied of course, wanting to be of use and Henry actually breathedout, relaxing now. “I cannot thank you enough, again. This was very kindof you.” Sounds like someone was scared of the event~“I was not SCARED, I was disgusted. It was quite a stupid event.” Sure. You TOTALLY weren’t scared.Well, you got away pretty lucky. No one wanted to see your child self… no one made you square off with legacyhellbent on murdering you, nor did he find you… “Yes. Now stop.” … Nor were OTHER AUs dragged in here…“You do not dare to-” Likethe Henry/Henry th-“Your narrator is shortly incapacitated as I will attempt to reboot it.Please dear Anons have some patience.” Henry always was a lucky bastard, wasn’t he?

Qcard 222? Pleeeeeeeeeease? :D
Happy to oblige, dear anon - thank you for the prompt! I apologise for this taking me a little bit - I’m trying to organise moving house, which is an absolute ordeal!
Welcome to 1600 words of feels for your patience, my friend, and the deliberate misdirection of what you’d probably expect from this prompt. I thoroughly enjoyed creating this, and hope you love reading it just as much! =)
22. “I’ve seen the way you look at me when you think I don’t notice.”
Prompt list here: http://celestialwarzone.tumblr.com/post/179662102941/send-me-a-pairing-and-a-number-and-ill-write-you
It was blissfully quiet in Picard’s quarters; soft breath was all thatcut through the air, the sleeping Captain’s mind at utter ease. By his side, Q’slips curled into a silent smile; it was majestic to watch this ineffable humanat peace, his diplomacy, quick wit and brilliant intelligence switched off byhis own biology. Jean-Luc Picard soared above his species, courageous enough tobegin affairs with gods, stubborn enough to keep such matters private from hiscrew, and far too delightful to watch in their afterglow.
He wasn’t welcome after hours, he knew – “I wouldn’t want you to getthe wrong impression, Q,” he’d murmured several weeks earlier, everthe diplomat. Too late, dearest, Q had acknowledged, onlyslightly bitter – the man was far too enthralling to ever be truly irritatedby, and he was vastly too enamoured to maintain the illusion of being so. Itwas an arrangement of convenience, a way in which to satiate the entity’sconstant desire to play god upon his vessel. It didn’t mean anything – well, not to one of them, at least.
Made something ofa rod for your own back there, didn’t you? His subconsciousdrawled. A billion lifetimes of cosmic awareness, and you still thought thatengaging in intercourse with a transient mortal you’re in love with was amagnificent idea. And you mock theirstupidity.
Q sighed wearily, in desperate need of a distraction from his personalself-deprecation; quietly, he slipped into the dreams of his lover, knowingthat whilst it was invasive, Jean-Luc would hold no great qualms with the act.
Picard was relaxed, sun beating down upon his handsome features from aworn sun lounger that perched upon the hill above his family’s vineyard. Qglanced down at him in fond amusement, vexed.
“Honestly, Johnny – who dreams of being asleep?”
The Frenchman’s eyes wrenched open within his own mind, startled.
“Q?” He demanded in bewilderment. “What on earth – is thistelepathy? Am I still asleep? What are you doing here?!”
“Yes, yes, being intrigued,” the deity replied softly, smirking. “Doyou want me to leave?”
The ‘get out’ lingered on Picard’s tongue for a long moment, before he gave a sigh of relent.
“As long as you don’t intend to be irritating, and I get the requiredrest, then no.” He shoved his spine into the back of the lounger, calming. Hismind hummed with disapproval, accepting nevertheless, and Q basked in itstangible glow; the sun held real warmth in the mysticism of the mental space, the experience as true to its beholder as the actual world would have been.
“I shall be a paragon of virtue, my dear,” the entity assured himmildly, conjuring a recliner of his own and easing into it.
“First time for everything,” Picard drawled, unconvinced.
Q gave a silent grin, summoning a frosted glass of iced tea to sip;they basked in silence for a little while, simply enjoying the ambience of aFrench summer, the god fully absorbed in the tantalising, indistinct psyche ofhis companion. It was a marvel, the resonant peace he’d managed to acquire justbeing beside him – any real period of inactivity had always had Q itching todiscover something new, to create havoc, yet he was entirely content to existquietly beside this enigma of a human.
Missionaccomplished, he noted miserably. Sleeping with me haseradicated my desire to entertain your precious crew.
“You hated this place,” he murmured, more to hush his damning owndamning assessment. “Why would you return to it in dreams, when the universe isyour oyster? You are as omnipotent as I am, here.”
Picard’s lips pursed pensively, smile fading as quickly as it hadarisen.
“Saudade,” he murmured. “Something lost, which can never bereclaimed – in this instance, a time when things weren’t always perfect, butfar simpler.”
Oh, I remember,Q mused inwardly, only his mastery of telepathy keeping his thoughts personalin his lover’s domain. I only wish I’d recall well enough to abandon you –but, then, I never was one for self-preservation. Too dramatic, you see.
“Mm,” he muttered noncommittally, simply to fill the void.
Picard rose a surprised brow at the lack of quirky reply, gauging thesituation for a moment.
“I doubt my need for relaxation this evening stems from anything that Ishould be overly concerned about.”
“No?” Q summoned a cushion for the back of his head, placing it in afluid movement as he tried to appear as though he didn’t hang permanently offthe man’s every word.
“I think not. I’m sure the individual that I have appealed to is on thesame page as I am.”
Q turned onto his side to stare, following the line of cryptic thoughtwith equal vagueness.
“Well, hopefully. I could check, if you like? It would hardly be beyondme.”
“No, no, it will be quite alright, I’m certain.” Picard’s gaze returnedto the ambling vineyards. “I just don’t understand, you see, becausethey knew the whole time. I was never anything other than upfront.”
Something very similar to foreboding crept up Q’s spine.
“Perhaps they do know,” he murmured, “though, of course, knowing doesn’tmake something personally applicable.”
“Doesn’t agreement?”
“Potentially. That rather depends on who we’re discussing, doesn’t it?”
Picard’s eyes wrenched back to his, their irritation clear.
“I’ve seen the way you look at me, when you think I don’t notice.” Hiswords were little more than a whisper, though they held the sharpness ofmidwinter. “Like I’m comprised of, of… stardust, of the finest jewels… asthough I’m something – wonderful.”
Q gave a bark of a bitter chuckle, gaze taut, his tea cast aside with aswipe of his hand.
“You mortals are so obtuse,” he murmured, deliberately glancing away, the vines before him blurring just slightly. “You spend so much of your livesdealing with the physical, the tangible to your limited senses, that you forgethow much more there is, that there are things far beyond your comprehension. You’re human, Jean-Luc – oxygen, hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, calcium, a handfulmore; seventy percent water, five foot nine, French… really quite dull, by yourpeople’s standards, though highly intelligent, and rather handsome to boot. Youlive an average life, on an average vessel, in a largely uninteresting timeperiod – by rights, you shouldn’t fascinate anyone, much less a god.”
He conjured a holographic star system, a miniature Captain floating atits heart, a bright smile gracing his lips. The real thing watched, entranced, unwilling to give away a damned thing.
“But we’re all more than the sum of our parts, aren’t we dear?” His ownsmile was tired as he regarded the hologram. “You’re brilliantly clever, morethan willing to stand up someone so beyond your capacity it’s laughable… yourise above the morons you exist beside. A diplomat, a man of honour, wisdom, passion… you are wonderful. You match me word-for-word, never bore me, alwaysprove a challenge – and you care, on whatever level it may be. You askme how my day’s been when I don’t even have a concept of linear time, how theContinuum’s doing. No one does that, you know. I’m acquainted with billions,Jean-Luc, and none of them mean a damned thing in comparison. Innumerate stars, planets, phenomena, people, timescales, and it all reduces to you.”
The tiny cosmos retracted to nothingness in Q’s palm, leaving the simulatedCaptain alone, still regarding his magician as though he was the world. Picardstared, breathless, his relaxing dream quite forgotten.
“My point is, you’re the tiniest pinprick of existence – you aren’t anewly formed sun, an unexplored M-class system, the first inklings of a highlyadvanced race upon an untouched world… physically, you’re worthless.”
He smiled morosely, trembling fingers causing his illusion to flicker;his eyes finally deigned to meet his lover’s, burning with emotion.
“But by the Continuum, and all we are, you are the universe tome.”
Picard choked back tears, visibly compromised.
“I…” He swallowed quietly, struggling to regain his usually impeccablecomposure. “This was never meant to – I told you – ”
“Oh, I know.” Q shook his head just slightly, the lament clear. “If ithelps, it isn’t your fault, Jean-Luc. You really were perfectly upfront.”
He paused, essence threatening to shatter, gaze drilling into the human’s.
“Do you want me to leave?”
“No,” Picard murmured immediately, understanding that the offer wasn’tunique to his dream, “but I need… time, Q. Perhaps the concept of the cosmoshasn’t only narrowed for you, my friend.”
A thrill shot through the god’s spirit, and he barely suppressed abeam, instead settling for a soft smile – gods only knew he didn’t wish toappear smug.
“Alright.” He breathed softly, delight curling through his spirit. “Igenuinely didn’t think –”
“Nor me, but apparently you’ve somehow wormed your way in,” Picardadmitted dryly, warm expression belying his caustic tone. “I’m… willing toconsider the notion, Q, but that’s all I can offer as yet. There will be rules,of course –”
“Naturally.” The sarcasm held no bite whatsoever, distant starsexhausting their chemical supply under his joy. “It is you, after all.”
Their gazes drifted to the vineyard, both comfortably silent for a longmoment even as the question itched at Q’s mind.
“So, Captain, how long do you think –?”
“Q,” Picard interrupted coolly, “shut up. I’m trying tosleep.”
He leaned back against the lounger and closed his eyes, his loverlaughing softly.
“There isn’t anyone else in this universe I’d stay quiet for, you know.”
An eyelid partly opened, its look humbled – the cynical, desperatelyhopeful part of Q could almost call it tender.
“I’m glad.”
By mutual agreement, they reached out a hand, lacing them together, grins identical as they simply basked in the ambience of rural France, and thecontentment of being united.

An Unexpected Muse - Feysand
Summary: Based on prompt from @sjmaasandallthesass : Feysand in a modern AU where Feyre and Rhysand always see each other in this cafe they like but never speak to each other, and he likes to sit and read or write while she loves to draw little sketches here and there. One day, she goes to the bathroom or whatever and he sees her sketchbook as he’s passing by and sees she’s been drawing him. You can choose the ending.
A/N: Hello, everyone! This prompt & fic is from when I reached 100 followers. Apologies for the long wait and if my writing isn’t up to par. (I wrote when I had writer’s block for something else, so my writing was kind of suffering I need my opinion.) Something to know: This fic is told in alternating point of views both in 1st person.
Word Count: 1,636
Writing Masterlist
Tumblr media
I saw her frequently at The Sidra. The first time I spotted her, I nearly dropped my coffee. She was beautiful. I knew nothing about her but was instantly captivated. I figured she was an artist; the young woman was always drawing something in a sketchbook. She had golden-brown hair, blue-gray eyes, pale skin, and I even glimpsed a sprinkling of freckles across the bridge of her nose.
Gorgeous.
I would love nothing more than to take her on a date, but that would be strange. We have never spoken and all I do from the moment she enters the café to when she leaves is covertly look at her whenever I can. Occasionally I caught her looking at me, so I have hope that something will happen between us.
Every night I wish to the stars for my dream to be answered so I can properly meet this stunning angel.
He’s easily the most beautiful man I’ve ever seen. Black hair, soft brown skin, gorgeous violet eyes. He’s always at the café, sitting at the table tucked away in the corner. Always reading. Sometimes  looking at me.
When I first caught him looking at me, I couldn’t help the deep blush that bloomed. I promptly glared at him, turning back to my sketch, fighting the tug of my lips, fighting the smile. I was flattered, of course. He could be an Abercrombie model. And the perfect subject for my next drawing.
My grip tightened around the pencil I was holding. I hadn’t thought of anything new to draw in ages; usually I redrew old pieces of art, making them better using the skills I’d obtained through the years.
I glanced once more at the stranger but averted my gaze when I noticed he was still looking at me.
What did he see in me? What did he see that made him gaze at me with interest? As if I were his savior?
Weeks passed by with us continuing to dance around each other. It was obvious by now that she had an interest in me, and it was painfully obvious that I had an interest in her. So I decided to ask her out.
But I chickened out the first time I planned to.
Now I was going to try again.
The beautiful creature had gotten up to go to the restroom, and, due to my stalling, I wound up being late to meet Cassian and Azriel at the movies.
Tomorrow, I promised myself. If she is here tomorrow, then I will ask her out.
As I was leaving, I made sure to walk by her table in hopes of glimpsing whatever it is she was working on in her sketchbook before leaving the table. I knew I should ask first, but I was curious.
What I saw made stop dead in my tracks. She had been sketching a familiar young man. She did not need to add color to her art in order for me to recognize him; his features I knew so well were a giveaway.
She drew me.
I was so shocked by the realization that the breathtaking woman had paid enough attention to me for her sketch to be done so accurately that I hadn’t heard the approaching footsteps.
“Crap, this is mortifying.”
I spun around, coming face to face with the angel of my dreams.
“Uh, hi.” Immediately I scolded myself. Out of all the words in the English language I could have used, I chose ‘uh, hi’ ?
“Hey,” Her face was bright red, making her cute freckles stand out. “You probably think I’m some creep. I am so sorry. I should have asked if I could sketch you first. I mean I don’t even know you, it’s just that you are incredibly handsome and a perfect model! I just had this urge, y’know? Like, if I couldn’t capture you in my sketchbook, then what will I do? Aaaand I just realized that is even creepier, so I’ll just go, and —”
“No!” The word burst out of me, cutting off her ramble. “I mean, I don’t want you to go. I, uh, have actually been meaning to… get to know you. You’re interesting to me. Does that sound strange? Shit, it does, doesn’t it? I just mean that I felt a… connection — now that’s sappy and double weird. We aren’t in some Hollywood movie. But, I, um, was wondering if we could — and this probably seems bizarre to you — go on a date? Maybe. I don’t know why you would agree, but I would like to. So, uh, yeah.”
I looked down at my shoes, hoping she wouldn’t see the blush creeping up my cheeks to my ears. When the silence went on for much longer than I would’ve liked, I started praying for the floor to swallow me whole. There was no doubt in my mind that she was going to turn me down. I know I would if was in her position.
“Are you always this articulate? I got the impression you were some suave man.” I looked up to see her lips had curled into an amused smirk. “But… I suppose I could be persuaded into a date.” Then she laughed. And I would do anything — anything — to hear it for the rest of my laugh.
God, I have the inner monologue of a cliché romance!
“Trust me, I usually am suave. Just not around you apparently. Oh, I’m Rhysand by the way. My friends call me Rhys.”
“It’s nice to finally meet you, Rhys,” she held out her hand. “I’m Feyre.”
Cauldron, her hand is soft.
Shut up, Rhys.
“So, how can I persuade you to go out with me?”
Feyre laughed again, a full-bellied laugh. “I was kidding, Rhys! I’ve also been wanting to ask you out, and I totally got what you meant about the Hollywood movie connection feeling. Does Friday work? At… eight?”
“Yeah, that’s fine by me.” In all honesty, I would have said tonight, but that would be pushing it. I mean, I have no idea how much I already freaked Feyre out.
“Great! I need to leave, so can I get your number now?”
“Of course,” Hearing she had a place to be reminded me of my own plans. We swapped phones and put in our contact info.
“Sorry for keeping you from the… movies, I think? You have tons of texts from someone named Cassian.” Feyre added when I looked confused. I had completely ignored the buzzing in my pocket and the fact that I was extremely late.
“It’s alright. I much prefer your company over Cassian’s.”
“Well, it seems Cassian is desperate for your company, and I really do need to be going. See you Friday, Rhys!”
“Bye, Feyre.”
When I got to the movies, I tuned out Cassian’s questions — “Why the hell are you late?” and “What’s got you grinning like an idiot, Rhysie?” being the two constants —as well as the movie.
I couldn’t get Feyre out of my head.
“Feyre! I was wondering when you’d come!” Alis said.
“Sorry! I got held up! Where’s Lucien?” I looked around for my other close friend, but he was nowhere to be found in the park.
“He texted saying he was held up by something. He’ll be here in about thirty minutes.”
“Do you think he and Andras are having sex?” Lucien and Andras had moved in together recently, and they constantly took advantage of their newfound privacy.
“There’s no doubt in my mind!” Alis laughed. “But seriously, girl, what happened? I was ready to start searching for you when you weren’t at our table; you’re the most punctual person I know!”
“I have a good reason, I promise! You remember that handsome guy I mentioned a few times? The one frequently at the Sidra?”
“‘Mentioned a few times’? Fey, you gush about him for hours!”
“I don’t!” I protested. “Anyway, I’ve been sketching him and he saw it.” Alis gasped, her hands flying up to cover her mouth. “I know! It was beyond mortifying! I started rambling like I always do when I get nervous, but then he cut me off, asking me on a date!”
“No way!” Alis squealed, her horror morphing into joy.
“Yes way! And Rhysand — that’s his name — was so cute while asking; he was blushing and fumbling his words. You know how I find that endearing!”
“Nothing is more swoon worthy than a guy who gets all flustered!” Alis agreed.
“Right! Anyway, I agreed — obviously — so Friday night, guess who’s got a hot date?”
“That’s my girl!” Alis cheered. “I can’t wait to meet Rhys! Then, you guys will be engaged, have a lovely wedding where I will be the maid of honor, have kids, and grow old together!”
I smacked Alis’s arm. “Jeez, Alis, slow down! We haven’t even gone on our first date yet!” Though I had to admit that I wouldn’t mind if what she said came true.
“Alis! Feyre!” Lucien called out, jogging towards us. “Hey, guys!”
“Hello, Lucien. I’m surprised you are up and running. Andras didn’t tire you out?” Alis teased.
Lucien’s smirk was downright wicked. “He will when I go back home. I didn’t want to abandon you and Feyre.”
“Alis and I were having a grand time without you, Luc.” I said.
“Oh I see how it is. You two are cutting me out of the group.” He wiped away fake tears. “I’ll just leave now, I suppose. Since you two don’t want me. It’s alright, I’m used to it.”
We all laughed before Alis told Lucien how Rhys and I were going on a date, causing me to retell the story, this time with Alis’s input.
I left Velaris Park with a huge smile on my face, eager for my date with Rhys.
Thank you for reading! x

Tempest is late.
The pack’s already scattered from the meeting place, but it doesn’t matter. She needs this. The blanket of the night sky above her, the magic in the earth beneath her, and the joyous sound of wolfsong in the air around her.
She takes off her shoes. This place, the pack’s territory, is soaked in magic. The feeling of it against her skin is as soothing as it is invigorating. Tonight, she wants nothing more than to lay down in the grass and let it swallow her up, swaddle her up, while she counts the stars overhead.
Tempest drops down to her knees, sinking her fingers into the dirt. She inhales, exhales. Shuts her eyes and reaches out with her magic, letting the pack’s territory act as a conduit to connect her to the rest of the pack. She can always feel them, invisible threads interconnecting their lives in an infinitely complex web, but being here, her hands in the earth, strengthens the bond.
Danyl answers her first, sending warmth over their connection. Witch.
Her lips twitch, and she lets her amusement flavor their mental thread. It fades immediately as the pack’s alpha acknowledges her presence in passing, Luc’s bond with them all cold and clinical even on his good days. And there’s Luc’s mate, Natasha, offering a sharp mental probe before disconnecting. Tempest starts to pull back, to yank her hands out of the dirt and disengage, wholly planning on getting up and slinking back to her car, alone, to wallow in self-pity when Danyl tugs her back to him, warm and reassuring. Her true alpha.
Danyl links with her, mind to mind. He’s running with the pack. His joy is boundless, and it brings into sharp contrast the ache that she carried here with her tonight. Unbidden, unwanted thoughts spear through her, and she flinches, trying to hide them from Danyl, heavy with guilt for being unable to share in his happiness.
His wolf’s mind deals in simpler terms, but he catches enough from her emotional current to realize there’s something wrong. He slows, hesitating, starting to redirect back towards the meeting place.
Hurt? Witch hurt. I’m coming.
Tempest grimaces. No, Danyl. I’m fine. Just needed-
“Tempest?”
She jumps, eyes flashing wide to take in the man kneeling in front of her. “Blaise. Don’t sneak up on a witch like that. You’re lucky I didn’t turn you into a frog.”
Blaise flashes her a quick, easy smile. “You wouldn’t.”
Tempest rolls her eyes, sending Danyl another pulse of reassurance to keep him from coming back to the meeting place. “You think I like you that much?”
She flashes all of her teeth in a smile, hoping he won’t pick up on her mood. But he’s pack, and they’re friends, and he knows her too well at this point. So when he touches her chin, tilting her face up towards his, she knows she’s failed.
“What’s wrong, Tempest?”
She’s late.
She’s late, and she bought five different pregnancy tests and they were all positive.
Apparently she says this out loud, because Blaise’s frown deepens, his dark eyes widening. “What?”
Tempest shuts her eyes against the sight of him. “I’m pregnant. There’s no one else it could be.”
“Tempest,” he says, voice rough, and puts his muscular arms around her, dragging her into his chest. “I’m- are you okay?”
He smells like leaves and dirt and rain. She inhales deeply, letting it calm her racing heart. Against his chest, she can hear his heart beating fast, too. So she pushes a little magic into him, easing his panic, until his breathing matches her own.
Blaise inhales against her hair. “Are you okay?” he asks again, quieter. Calmer.
Tempest shrugs. “I don’t know. I don’t know what to feel.”
“Okay.” Blaise shifts, resettling until he’s sitting in the grass, pulling her into his lap. “Okay, love. I’m here. Whatever you decide, I’m here.”
“I know.”
“Something else happen?”
The casual way he says it makes her laugh. It comes out wet and pathetic, tears suddenly on her cheeks. “Goddamn you.”
He chuckles, running his fingers through her hair, soothing. Across their mental connection, she hears Danyl in his wolf form, trying to comfort her. Packpackpack love Witch Witch safe.
“Why are we damning me?” Blaise asks.
“I saw him. With some girl. It’s… I mean, it’s nothing new. And it could have been nothing. I’m just-” Pain spears her heart. Her chest feels raw and open. “I’m a fucking mess, Blaise.”
Blaise hums, saying nothing. Giving her time to pull herself together. Always gentle and unassuming. Giving her space and respecting her boundaries. It should have been so easy to fall in love with him.
Too bad she’s never been one to take the easy way out.
“I think that I want to keep this baby,” she says. Against her, Blaise sighs heavily before his whole body relaxes, pulling her closer. “I think you’d be a great dad, if that’s the role you want to play.”
“Of course.” He presses his nose into her hair. “I know this isn’t ideal.”
That makes her laugh, her shoulders shaking with it. “Blaise, that sums up a lot of things in my life. Thanks for pointing it out.”
He grins, flashing all of his teeth. “You’re welcome.”
Tempest leans back so she can look up at him. “You’re fantastic. You know that, don’t you? I’m an idiot.”
“You aren’t. I don’t think we get to choose who we love, Tempest.” He cups her face and kisses her forehead, surprisingly tender. It makes her eyes burn. “I’m sorry you’re hurting.”
Her lips wobble as she attempts a smile. “I’m just sorry.”
Blaise laughs, softly and not unkindly, and pulls her back into a bone-crushing hug. It grounds her, even as a few more tears leak from her eyes. After a moment of simply holding her, he says, “Am I allowed to be excited about our baby?”
She nails him with a fist against his ribs, which makes him laugh harder and put her at arms’ length. “Of course.”
“Excellent.” He grins.
Wolfsong fills the air as the pack returns to the meeting place. Talis and Danyl are the first ones to bound over, running circles around the two of them, sharing in their joy.
Danyl shoves his nose into her neck, huffing. WitchWitchWitchpackpackpack.
Talis knocks Blaise over, tail wagging. Puppies!
Tempest nearly chokes. “Just one, hopefully, thank you.”
He shows her all of his teeth, tongue lolling out of his mouth as he flops down across Blaise’s lap now, having pushed her out of the way. Tempest shakes her head at him, noticing Luc and Natasha as they pad into the clearing, side-by-side, their mental connection to the rest of the pack firmly closed off.
She clenches her jaw as Natasha breaks away from Luc’s side to come over and rub herself along Blaise’s back, nipping at his shoulder before springing off again. The way Blaise’s expression shutters closed, the way his shoulders curl forward, arms tightening around Talis’ big, heavy body, the way his heart speeds up – it makes Tempest hot with anger, gritting her teeth and crowding in closer to Blaise to act as a barrier between him and Natasha.
Danyl picks up on it, too, shoving in against Blaise’s other side, nosing his ear. Tempest can hear his soft reassurance. Packbrotherlovesafe.
Adrian comes over on his long, coltish legs and presses his muzzle into Blaise’s offered hand. He echoes Danyl’s thoughts. Packpackpack.
Talis joins in. Packbrotherpackbrother.
The rest of the pack slowly but surely crowds in against them, adding to the dog pile, Blaise at the heart of it. His quiet panic is ebbing, but he’s avoiding looking at his brother and his brother’s mate.
Luc and Natasha are on the opposite side of the clearing, watching coolly.
Danyl settles his head on Blaise’s shoulder, leaning heavily into him. With minimal effort, he pushes a more well-formed thought at Blaise, but the whole pack hears it. Everyone but the alpha and his mate, at least.
We are yours. You are ours. We will keep you safe.
Blaise shudders out a harsh breath. Tempest puts her arms around him, hugging him close.
He smiles against her neck as she pushes at him with, packpackpack.
Witch, Blaise pushes back at her.
Danyl’s affection floods their connection, spreading through the entire pack. Tempest thinks that one day soon, everything will be okay.

Jean Luc Ponty Revisits “The Atlantic Years”
Interview by Danny Coleman
“Well, I don’t want to announce it as such because I’ve seen other artists do that and tour again after that; so you never know but it could be. So far I’m still in good physical shape to play an instrument that is tough to play but so far so good. So as long as I can still do that and as long as there’s a demand, because the last thing that I want to do is just impose myself on stage like people who never want to go away even when there is no audience anymore for them. So if it gets to that I’ll be happy to retire; I’m ready for that now. One thing for sure, there are not going  be many more tours; maybe another one after that at most,” uttered legendary violinist Jean Luc Ponty as he discussed what may very well be one of if not his final tour prior to his August 23 show in Newton, NJ at the Skyland PAC.
On the road with, “The Atlantic Years Tour,” Ponty definitely embraces his past even though he may not always admit to looking back at it and had it not been at the urging of some friends and industry insiders; this may never have come to be.
“What it is,” he started with deliberation, “Is that I’m not the kind of guy that is into nostalgia and looking to the past and being sad that it’s over; not at all. I’m the opposite, I’m always looking forward and happy to do new musical experiences but they are rooted in the past though; I’m talking about me developing in the mid 70’s and still keep doing it until now. Then there was a ditty man from France and concert organizations who wanted to revisit the music of my early career and the first albums which I produced on Atlantic that made the audiences aware that there was this crazyFrenchman playing electric violin. I gave a listen to the old albums but I am also the kind of musician who rarely listened to his own recordings; moving on all the time. So I really sat down and listened after so many years and discovered that some of the music I really do was great and it was worth re-visiting and what I mean by re-visiting is not to rehash the past, it’s not to try to recreate exactly what it was because the albums are there. They have that sound color of the time and that energy but what we can do now so many years later is that me and the musicians have had so many other musical experiences that we have a different kind of maturity and coming back to this music we can bring some new improvisations to it. Also, the sound technology has improved and some instruments themselves are so much better today so it’s like feeling lucky to still be alive and being able to make this music live again. Also there is a jazz element; meaning that there are sections in most pieces where we can improvise solos, that means that the music comes alive in different ways every night.”
The musicians on this tour are no strangers to Jean Luc or his music and he speaks glowingly of having them reunited with him on stage once again.
“All of them have either toured and recorded with me or both. Jamie Glaser is the longest collaborator with me, he started in 1977 fresh out of The Berklee School ofMusic. He has been on several albums and then he went to do his own thing and he came back again in the late 80’s and 90’s. Then Wally Minko on keyboards joined in the late 80’s, he recorded three albums with me and did many tours worldwide. Rayford Griffin on drums joined my band in 1982, was on all of the albums between 1982 and 1986 and even more in the 90’s. There was one tour that he couldn’t do because he was with Michael Jackson then; I remember that because in the 90’s I wanted to do a reunion,” he said with a laugh. “Keith Jones toured with my band in the 80’s as well; on top of which, this is the band that I put together when I collaborated with Jon Andersonfrom Yes. These are exactly the same band; musicians that I’ve worked with since the 80’s, it adds another emotional dimension. Being back on stage makes us really happy, there’s a joy and a different feeling; it’s a pleasure to be back together. It is like old friends that you’ve not seen in a long time and you get together, that’s the kind of feeling we have.”
Easily the most recognizable violinist in rock and jazz music, Ponty admits to feeling some of the pressures of success yet he also gained a wealth of experience which affords him to relax as he looks back at his long and illustrious career; a career which has seen him nominated for or achieving just about every major award in the music industry.
“It was very natural at first for many years. I had a very strong inspirational force in me that had to come out,” he chuckled. “I was lucky to sign this contract with AtlanticRecords in ’75 that gave me total artistic freedom and gave me a chance to explore, put a band together and play this music. I wanted to create my own way of making one see phases of different musical limits. I had the experience, I came from classical music, I was professional in the symphony orchestra when I was 20 years old and then seven years of straight jazz and then the collaboration with Zappa’s band, Mahavishnu, McLaughlin and others less well known before that in Europe but who were also into rock and progressive rock. I wanted to connect in a way that wasn’t evident and it wasn’t easy at first but little by little it changed; so that was my goal and I didn’t know if I’d be successful or not. The albums got a lot of success, even beyond my hopes; I mean it was unbelievable in those days. We got a chance to be picked up by progressive rock radio, jazz radio, different formats and a lot of college and university radio, it was amazing and thanks to that we got a chance to keep going and doing it. It is true though that I reached a point in the late 80’s and early 90’s where yeah, you feel the pressure because when you are presented on stage at big festivals with other bands and they announce you as one of the top or the top violinist in the world, you think oh my God, I better behave and play good (laughs). I’m joking now but there was some type of pressure at some time where I was wondering while recording my next album if it would be at least as good as the previous ones but not anymore. I’ve reached a point now where I”m totally relaxed because it’s not what I had in mind. It’s not having to be the best or whatever, music for me is an expression of my sub-conscious, I feel it’s very metaphysical. It’s almost like I feel it’s not me anymore physically on stage. I don’t know where it comes from, like as if I was channeling waves from around the universe. I don’t know but emotions and feeling is all that counts, that’s the priority and not thinking; am I the best? Am I good? Am I not good? You have to reach a point where you let go and let go completely. I was very happy to learn that a great jazz innovator like Charlie Parker said the same thing. He was practicing chord changes up to the point where he didn’t have to think about it, it became sub-conscious and that’s why you let go completely. Then it becomes totally spiritual or like another vein of communicating with other beings.”
So how does anyone achieve a level of greatness such as his? According to Ponty, you either have it or you don’t and even if you come from a musical family such as his own; there are no guarantees.
“My parents were music teachers, so I grew up in a musical environment environment. This doesn’t automatically mean that children have the vocation to be musicians as well but in my case I did. I developed a love for music immediately from the age of three or four years old. My father was teaching violin as a main instrument and my mother piano so they started me on both instruments when I was five years old. Then when I was 11 they asked me to choose one of the two so that I would become good at one instead of mediocre at both (laughs). I chose the violin, probably because I felt, from what I remember that it was the most expressive and it’s an instrument that you hold against your body like a physical extension of you. Then maybe it was because my father was a violinist, I’ve never spoken to a psychiatrist about it,” he joked, “but I think it was really because I found it more expressive. So I found myself  focusing and spending more time and hours on it every day but piano was very helpful and although I stopped practicing technique it helped me write music. Having access to a piano and later on to other types of keyboards and sounds was how I could write all of this music.”
One of the things that, “The Atlantic Years Tour” has done is gently prod him to look back in retrospect at how far the world has come; a world which he feels would be markedly better if the power of music was allowed to rule.
“In the 80’s I toured mostly in the United States, South America and Western Europe until the Berlin Wall fell down and then the communist world was not so communist anymore and I went all the way to play in Siberia a few years ago. I didn’t know what to expect but in fact there’s quite an elite of people; scientists who live there, a lot of artistic activity, they have opera and two symphony orchestras. Just to say that I’ve played for people there and there was an old woman who came to me with tears in her eyes with a vinyl album, one of these Atlantic albums and she said, “You know, when I got that album I could’ve gone to jail.” “What I’m saying is that music is such an incredible way to connect with people anywhere in the world; music would be a lot better than politics to unite people around the world.”
After the August 23 show in Newton, the tour has stops in Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut and then wraps up on August 30 at Sony Hall in New York City. So what can one expect when attending a Jean Luc Ponty performance?
“A program with pieces from the Atlantic albums starting with, “The Imaginary Voyage”from 1975/76 through, “Fables” which was the last one in 1985. We play some of the pieces that turned out to be classics like, “Mirage,” pieces from the, “Enigmatic Ocean,”the two long suites that we play are “Enigmatic Ocean,” “The Struggle of the Turtle to the Sea” and these are really great springboards for improvisation for the band and it sounds really good with this band. Pieces like “Mirage,” it surprises me that there are young musicians today from electronic jazz, hip-hop, dance music who are sampling pieces like, “Mirage.” I would not have expected that but that proves that there’s a link between generations and that makes me very happy that they see something in my music that appeals to them and that they are using it and producing it in their own way. We won’t play it in a hip-hop style (laughs), we stick to the style of the original recording.”
Sampling? Hip-hop? Ponty takes it all in stride whether he approves or not.
“I don’t always agree and if I don’t agree I refuse unless they steal it and I don’t know about it but some are honest and ask permission and some are creative and just take bits and pieces and make a puzzle out of it; they don’t take my creative piece as I recorded it and some are not creative at all. The way they use certain samples and sound effects of my music makes me say, ah that’s original but it surprises me that they hear that music from the 70’s that is old for them and it’s something that inspires them; that’s cool.”
