You know what always baffles me? The fact that people think there can’t be non incestous spyscout at all? Like only Red Spy and Red Scout are related, so why is blu scout x blu spy off the table here? Or Red spy x blu scout or blu spy x Red scout? These should all be fandom “fine” or whatever, I swear these people are just so narrow minded about things it’s so annoying

lol yesss speak the truth. i really only think of spyscout as the blu team honestly? and i think my art on here reflects that. though that's not to say that people who ship incestuous spyscout or write/read it support incest in real life or are bad people, either. it's like no one on here has the capability to think critically or just live and let live, lol. like, if i see a ship that personally makes me uncomfortable i block/filter and move on. the fact that people are comfortable sending death threats and creating harrassment campaigns over ships in this modern era of the internet is honestly so concerning.

(people were asking how you could possibly have non-incestuous spyscout.......... which proves your point that literally NOBODY thinks about blu team/crossteam spyscout or OC spyscout???? like??????? and my only explanation for that would be that they only consider comic-canon and never think about the game-lore????)

OKAY, Anon is now OFFICIALLY off, so I’m free to post this! Be warned, it’s LONG it’s a RANT, and I've been holding this in all day, right next to my finals-stress for college, so grab a helmet because it’s a bumpy ride.
Blocklists. Hate ‘em, love ‘em, make memes about them when they’re still relevant, they exist. While the purpose of their creation is still fully asinine to me, I must admit that the FIRST time I was placed on a list such as the one we have in our lovely fandom, I was surprised to say the least.
Thankfully, the memes and shitposts that followed helped my low-self esteem at the time to keep afloat, so now I can laugh about it, and when a SECOND blocklist rolled around, I was expecting to be able to laugh just as easily about this one.
Then I found out that not ONLY was the new blocklist poster ‘TOTALLY isn’t trying to start drama UwU’ but they’ve PROVEN this, by harassing and bullying a 16-year old for having a differing headcanon about a fictional character.
“Oh Thee, silly you!” You cry, “Surely you must be mistaken! Yes the blocklist is annoying and pointless, but surely this person isn’t BULLYING MINORS-!”
Our darling Blocklist poster, I allowed to make sure their name was blocked out for their privacy. But the sixteen year old, who made this post?
She REQUESTED I block her own URL, because she fears FURTHER harassment and bullying from this individual, and whomever else could come after her because she “speaks up about the blocklist.”
Let me repeat for y’all in the back:
Because a 16 year old MINOR had a different opinion with another blog, the Blocklist Poster decided to NOT exit the blog/go on a different tag/ go on a blog that shares their FICTIONAL HEADCANONS, instead they deliberately stayed and posted not once, but TWICE, responses full of insults and rude remarks over FICTIONAL HEADCANONS, to the point that the OP requested I block out her name in the screenshot so she wouldn’t be further hassassed.
See. I can HANDLE jokes on me, I can HANDLE the hate directed at me. What I don’t APPRECIATE, and what I will not TOLERATE, is people being bullied. Not on my time, not on my blog, and NOT in my fucking fandom.

Every fandom has trash blogs. Every fandom has blogs you adore, every fandom has blogs you hate, but guess what? YOU, as the viewer who signed up for this website, YOU get to decide what blogs you do or don’t want to see. YOU get the power to block or unfollow if you don’t enjoy someone’s material. That is and SHOULD be YOUR, and YOUR decision alone.
There’s also this Magical thing called BACKSPACE. Meaning, if you do not ENJOY something, you can magically make it go away by backing away from it! Ain’t that something?!
Blocklist’s don’t do SHIT. They don’t and people who post them are attention-seeking, and demanding to be admired by the 0.2 people that actually listen to them.
Blocklists cause DRAMA. Last year, we had ANOTHER blocklist, one that actually sent several blogs into spirals, despite all the memes. These dumb, purposeless and needless lists cause unproblematic bloggers to second-guess themselves, lose inspiration or, worst yet, LEAVE.
But I can COMPLETELY get over that. I can handle that all, It’s shitty, but I can handle it. What I’m losing my shit over isn’t the damn blocklist. I’m losing my shit because

People are SCARED to speak up, because they’re worried about further bullying or overly-aggressive anons knocking at your door, OVER FICTIONAL FUCKING HEADCANONS?! Are some of us SERIOUSLY that so immature?!

In a perfect world, I would ask the BL-Poster to delete the damn post, apologize to this young girl, and I would expect a mature response back, and we could be able to move this all behind us.
But no, I expect the OP would claim martyrdom after being called out on their BS, rally a small army of people-with-nothing-better-to-do and escalate this drama into huger proportions.
With that in mind, I’m going to ask something more SIMPLE for the Blocklist OP:
Own up to the fact you wanted to start some pointless shit. Own up to the fact that you want to instigate pointless drama, because your childish actions CLEARLY showcase that you want this attention more than anything. Own up to the fact that you got SO bored one day, you decided that instead of calling out ACTUAL blogs that should be blocked, you decided to get your fifteen-minutes and call out blogs who have more followers than you.
So go ahead: BE FUCKING PROUD. You’re a childish, small and insignificant bully who got their 25-seconds of fame, WOOPDIEFUCKINGDO. You scared a teenager to the point that they don’t even want to post this on their own blog, WAY TO GO. And you UNSUCCESSFULLY defended a fictional character, with the cost only being that you had to bully a literal CHILD to do so, BRA-FUCKING-VO.
Do NOT try and claim innocence or ‘I-i didn’t mean to cause drama UwU’ You know EXACTLY what you did, you know EXACTLY what would happen as soon as you hit ‘Post’, and everyone else does to, so don’t even try playing that card.
Save all of us the time and energy, and just own up to the fact that YOU wanted to instigate the needless fandom drama, so we can speed up the process of you throwing a hissy fit, logging off for some ‘break from the drama’, all of us laughing and making memes, and forgetting this whole affair by next week.

I do think that the new outbreak of toxic people drumming up their toxic groups in this fandom is hurting people. They think theyre doing something right but all they're doing is making mentally ill and/or young fans too scared to enjoy or create in fear of being harassed.

Before i continue i am going to put a read-more because, well, i have a LOT to say about this, so, mini-rant ahead under the read-more…
These people are doing more harm than good.
I understand if you want to make a small list with content warnings, for a fandom, that is completely fine! But using such a list to start bullying, harassing, threatening and in general, witch-hunting people is not okay. Many great and talented people have been driven away from the fandom by that tiny toxic group(or the cucks, as i like to call them for easy sakes). Content creators are even scared to post their content too now, both of these things are a huge shame. It’s terrible. Sites like tumblr are supposed to be for sharing your content without limitations. [well, until the nsfw ban, but you get what i mean..]
I happen to be in contact with some people on the blocklist, and let me tell you, they are truly amazing and wonderful people.
Yeah sometimes people make content you may not agree with, but that doesn’t mean you have start attacking people for it. Do you know how easy it is to click the unfollow or block button? But apparently some people are so stupid they prefer to screech instead of click one single button.
But for example, I dislike a certain popular hc for medic. I dislike the Jewish medic hc. I’m a Jewish man myself, but I don’t like seeing Jewish medic for multiple reasons, none of which are out of antisemitic nature. What do I see when I see Jewish medic? I mind my own fucking business. The person who posted that wanted to create that, fine by me. I don’t agree with it, and I don’t have to. I’m not going to make a dumb expose list for everyone who ever said anything about medic being Jewish. I mind my fucking business like a normal, mature person.
And there was/is a huge discussion about drawing or writing tf2 non-con…yeah, rape isn’t good. Every sane person knows that. Writing or drawing rape does not mean you’re a rapist (unless it’s an autobiography of course, then I’d like you to take a trip to prison). But, some people, including myself, write or draw non-con as a coping mechanism. I use confrontation to cope. I have a few triggers, and by confronting myself with said triggers I’m slowly getting over said triggers.
If I write or draw about these triggers or rape, I feel like I’m relieving my feelings about what happened to me. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that, and i’m not the only person who does it like that.
Yeah, I get people don’t always want to see that. That’s why tags exist, that’s why people use those tags for content and trigger warnings. That’s why you block those tags if you don’t want to see it. It’s that simple
Also, some of them make the claim that fiction is reality. I disagree, fiction is not reality. Yes, fiction can impact reality, but it isn’t one and the same. If you can’t distinguish fiction from reality then, well, you’re either not ready for fiction or not old/stable enough to be able to tell the two apart. Besides, if fiction really IS reality then so many movies and books would have been banned, or the writers of those must have been in jail by now, right? Writing a book about a fictional serial killer does not mean the writer is planning to or already has commit murder. Take Tf2 fan-fiction writers for example. They write about dudes slaughtering each other on a daily basis, but some of them wouldn’t even DARE to hit a fly in real life.
People who commit crimes because of a fictional piece were already going to do so to begin with. No sane human sees a crime that occurs in fiction and thinks to do the same. Those who do commit crimes because of a fictional piece were already planning to do so to begin with, and were probably not a completely hundred percent stable person.
And about the discussion of miss p being a lesbian, yeah I get that Jay said she’s gay and that, and if she really was a Canon lesbian, it’d be weird to ship her with men. However, those cucks do also make soldier a homosexual despite him having a (gorgeous) wife? Isn’t that kind of hypocritical? Anyways, Jay most likely was joking about miss p being gay, he’s known to be a jokey person like that. I feel like the way he did it was just saying “oh yeah btw she’s gay”. To me it feels vague. In the same sense that jk Rowling suddenly says everyone is gay in Harry Potter. Yeah, I hc her as a funky lil lesbian too, but i don’t go off on a tangent when someone sees her as bi, because the way she was “confirmed” as a lesbian, was vague and uncertain, and most likely a dumb joke that split the fandom in half.
Anyways, most of the cucks I ran into are underage, and aren’t even allowed on this site, which can explain their irrational behaviour, and refusing to listen to anyone who slightly disagrees with them, but lemme tell y'all something, minding your own fucking business would have prevented this entire blocklist ordeal.
Besides, YOU are in control of what you see on the Internet. Don’t like a certain type of content? BLOCK IT! or just, STOP LOOKING AT IT! it’s not that hard!
You are responsible for your own experience on the Internet. Not ready for that? Then close your phone/laptop and go outside. Content creators are not responsible for what you do online, these creators don’t know you, don’t expect them to fucking take care of you, they’re not your parents. Avoiding certain content does NOT mean you have to start policing others on what to post. You have no right to tell artist what they can and cannot post. Again, you may criticise or dislike it, that’s fine, but actively demanding censorship or threatening the creator makes you look like an incompetent asshole.
And if you disagree with something, it’s better to start with calming yourself down and contacting the OP in a respectful and mature manner. Maybe talk to them, broaden your horizon, broaden their horizon. Can’t agree eventually? That’s fine, it’s normal. Simply block the tag or the creator themselves and boom! You’re done, and didn’t harm anyone in the fandom and probably learned something, and OP probably too! If something isn’t tagged you can always, nicely, reach out to OP and ask them to tag. Most of the time they will. And if they don’t, just unfollow or block them if they continue posting a certain something that triggers you. Making a blocklist is one of the most immature things you could do. You bully and harass people to the point where some feel unsafe, and some even suicidal, in a fandom about a dumb fucking hat Simulator. Is that really what you want?? A fandom is supposed to be a safe and fun place for everyone who likes a certain something. By being toxic, and harassing others to the point where they don’t even feel safe(not only those who are young or mentally ill) in a what was supposed to be a safe place for them, you’re actively harming that safe place, and frankly, you don’t deserve to be in the fandom.
Also, I’ve seen a lot of these cucks say they actually hate tf2 as a game, and really, if you hate the game so much why are you still here in the fandom? And ruining it for the rest for us?
If you do feel unsafe, follow steps I mentioned above. Talk to people, block tags, block people, and mind your own business without policing others in what they can and cannot do. Unfortunately, the creators who do feel unsafe because of the toxic group cannot talk them, because the moment someone even slightly disagrees with them, or tries to respectfully discuss why they’re being “cancelled” the cucks start screeching like full-blown autists.
You’re not the law enforcement, you are (most likely) a minor who isn’t even allowed on tumblr in the first place, and who has no idea how the internet, or fandom spaces in specific, even work.
Fucking hell I miss 2014 Tf2 fandom sometimes.

OK so recently I've seen people in the team fortress 2 fandom being labeled, harassed and accused willy nilly because of a block list. And said creator of the block list(wangaprick/nohmercy if no one knew already) described the tf2 fandom as a "cesspool" of "bigotry, abusive behaviour and antisemitism" so for anyone who wants to know why they got tagged or messaged with hate or accused in any way of such awful behaviour here is the "updated block list"(old one that had the apperent reasons had been conveniently deleted):

Yes yours truly is there because I probably had the GAL to ask "why @infamouslydorky is in there" and how is he a Nazi for doing a harmless cosplay of A FICTIONAL character or probably because I LOVE to take the Bismarck and shove it up my ass because I love The Reich so much! As you all can see a lot of the popular artists or people we know or had been popular in the fandom are in there (if not they might pop in for living those people so please watch out), the list was apparently made for people who are sensitive to violent or abusive content but eventually it became a hit list of people in the fandom who YOU MUST avoid because they create disgusting things and ARE degenerates. Had a good idea but throwing accusations for what people did 10 billion years ago is irrelevant and escalated started this problem, people change and surely they had their fair share of backlash when stuff like this happened, its no longer your place to bash them, if they don't want to address it its their problem, you don't need to keep bringing up dead bones or acuse people of things they did in the past without considering that they changed or left this problem behind. People move on.
Also before you pick your pitchforks: don't. It will only bring more vitriol and negativity and escalate the problem further. This is so people know who had been accused and to take precautions of this stuff getting bigger. Because people had been put there for following these blogs or interacting with them positively. (Hence why your small tf2 fan is in there in the first place).
Also I am aware that some of the mentioned people might of done or still do bad stuff, some moved on and changed others didnt, however this list has been misused and became a weapon to bring hate on those who left matters behind and changed or never did something bad in the first place. I follow a quite small handful of the blogs mentioned and artists who had wrote things that might trigger people for their violent nature (its tf2 people it isnt a safe place) but let's not forget its all fictional and not something to attack people over or trash. There had been people who drew medic as a Nazi and i don't like that but I'm not going around and spewing endless accusations, people are whose enough to see when people are abusive or extremists. You don't need to scare people in coming into the fandom for a few bad apples (which had been hidden under false accusations making the list pretty useless and unreliable). So don't spread the hate just let them scream their lungs out and be prepared to be mentioned in it or someone you know to be in there, send the ones you know are good and kind some love, they deserve it for supporting this amazing community.
Notable acusations given to either all or most artists, blogs, writers or creators of any kind (they had all been taken from either nohmercy/wangaprick's asks and posts or the old block list which had the acusations):

If your worried I have Nazi ideals or am any of the "-phobe"s in there you can feel free to POLITELY ASK and not spread rumors behind my back. I love the LGBTQ+ and trans community, as well as POC but not being an active advocate for it doesn't make me a monster. Those issues are NOT my place to go into because I am not a perfectly educated person about the issues and experiences of these people however that doesn't mean I hate or don't understand their struggles. Those who are marginalised shall not be thrown aside but given a voice. I love all my fellow humans who believe in kindness and educated discussion but don't forget that if you can be a homophobic/transphobic/racist extremist its also variable to be the opposite and scare away people from the LGBTQ+ cause, education changes minds not mindless yelling of labels and acusations. I didn't embrace my sexuality by being yelled at that I was a heterosexual once and that I'm a plague on humanity. Nor that I am a dirty racist for liking someone who "did that thing like 10 years ago". So be civil and dont spread rumors.
Also remember people aren't babies that need codling or some "all pure" guide to this fandom, tags and trigger warnings are everywhere. Don't need to spread lies about the creators.

The very first thing a new TF2 player must do is pick a class between the diverse set of mercs. But what would they really know about them? What if they pick one and the merc spouts something vile, sexist, or fatphobic right in the middle of a match? This is why a created a list of the most troubling mercs, so new and veteran players know which ones to void to make their TF2 gaming experience a safe and pleasant one. Please be mindful that this is not a call-out post. :)
SCOUT
Lesphobic (pursues Miss Pauling even though she was 100% confirmed by one writer (A CIS WHITE STRAIGHT MALE WHO WASNT EVEN THE ORIGINAL WRITER) to be lesbian.)
Fatphobic (has some of the most fatphobic lines against Heavy)
Abelist (Makes fun of Demo’s missing eye, calls him Cyclops)
Anti-sex work (gets insulted at the suggestion that his mother could be a porn star)

You would think that Pyro would be safe, with their cute animations and indeterminate gender. But even this “sweet” creature is steeped in racism. Pyrovision is how Pyro sees the world, and you can clearly see that all the characters are not only white washed when presented with the real world view, but in the Meet the Pyro trailer, they actually are presented as angels! White washing equals angels in Pyro’s eyes. Avoid this merc at all costs!

why were u put on the tf2 blocklist
I’ve kept my mouth shut for a while so here comes a rant.
Because I like and support the art done by the “”lead deplorables””. Because I dared to suggest that I think that non-consent is okay to explore in a fictional setting. And honestly most of all, because I noted openly the utter immaturity involved with banning actual transgender fans from participating in a group chat made specifically for LGBT+ fans based on the founder’s dislike for their art.
An interesting piece of this is how incredibly contrasted the aggressive and hostile behavior of these self-appointed judges is to the behavior of the so-called deplorables. Namely, I know half the people on that list to be incredibly kind, friendly, easy to talk to and considerate individuals.
In fact, when I first joined the fandom, I was friends with an individual very much like those who created the List™. As such I pretended for their sake to be far more bothered by things regarding depictions of abuse etc. Therefore I developed an early reputation as being upset by said deviations in fiction. Why is that relevant? Because when I broke away from that friend, I began to start following many of the artists and writers I had felt previously afraid to. And you know what happened? At least two of them VERY POLITELY messaged me thanking me for the add but wanting to warn me that they produce a lot of potentially offensive content. They cared about my mental health enough to bother to check in with me, in addition to always appropriately tagging any triggering content.
Stack that up against these self-righteous newbies who think they run a decades-old fandom and tell me who the better people are. Considering the list included perpetrators of non-incestuous SpyScout and non-abusive CheavyMedic (really? are we back to shipping wars?), clearly all it takes to be a “”horrible human being”” is to support something the wee lamb newcomers dislike. Purity wank at its finest.
Honestly tl;dr is, any fandom deprived of new content eventually turns inwards to discourse and pointless wank.
