"C'mon Jamil! Just this once!" Inaya almost went to her knees and begged him to take a break. Jamil has been going nonstop with cooking since he finally recovered from his reaction to the poison someone put in Kalim's curry, and he needed to catch back on his skills. "I already said it, I need to finish cooking Kalim's lunch, I can't go do whatever you want me to right now" The boy was, as always, insistent on his duties, much to the girl's dismay, and sometimes even worries. "If I stop to wander around every time you asked me to instead of actually doing my work, I would never hear the end of it from my parents, you know?" "I promise you, it's just this once! Kalim said he wanted to fly on his magic carpet with us, to show me the oasis you two found last weekend. It won't take too much time, and I'll help you afterwards even a-" "That is not happening. I'm the only one who should cook for him, you both know it. Now please go back to playing Mancala with Kalim while I finish his lunch, I'm sure this can wait for after his meal." Inaya pouted, looking defeated, but tugged at his arm slightly. Jamil, even though he knew she meant well, couldn't let her take his duties from him, no matter if Kalim asked for it or not. "I just wished you would stop working till exhaustion and would have some fun with us again, like the old times..." Her words took Jamil off guard, which almost led to him burning his fingers. He sighed and looked at her, not very pleased but finally giving in, as at least this way she wouldn't be talking about stuff that he didn't want to think. "If I accept going with you two, will you please let me finish cooking?" Inaya took zero seconds to nod furiously, that sweet smile that led to Jamil's sleepless nights about what he really thought of her gracing her face once again, as just after Jamil turned off the stove, he was dragged by his clothes. Well... I suppose, if it is to see that smile grace Inaya's face once again, Jamil could skip just this time. As much as he wanted to deny it, he knew, deep down, that she was a diamond in the rough, and that the Sevens graced him with the chance to see this diamond shine under the Scalding Sands sunlight. Maybe only he saw this, but the perfect picture of her smile will forever grace his memories.

Would it be cannibalism if a wolf beastmen ate a sheep beastmen

Fantasy cannibalism dilemmas my beloveds... We discussed this on the server Angel, I have a couple of thoughts on this, so buckle up!

TW: fantasy cannibalism and discussions involving it

Okay so, we know for a fact that there are different types of beastmen. That is a given. What we need to know and understand is if that instantly means they are the same species and different races, or if different animals = different species. My bet is on the latter, which could ALSO explain Merfolk.

Okay so, if we consider this, we need to think about how their societies evolved. We know beastmen are all around the twst world and that different species have things that remind of their animals (Jack talking about how Wolf beastmen mate for life, Ruggie and the fact Hyena beastmen have a strong pack sense, etc.), so if we assume this stays for the predatory nature of predator beastemen over herbivore beastmen, much like it seems to stay for merfolk, the "beastmen cannibalism" and true beastmen cannibalism could be not seen as a crime, but more of a taboo.

Cuz like, think with me: If a Neanderthal ate some Homo Erectus, that wouldn't be the cannibalism we know of. Why? Because it isn't eating one of the same species, but of the same notion of sentience. That doesn't fall over what humans call cannibalism, which is the consumption of one's same species, but it is just as much of a taboo. Considering this, we can assume the same would be for a predator beastmen to eat a herbivore beastmen. They are NOT the same species, they evolved from completely different beings, but they do share sentience and the ability to consent. If the Sheep beastmen consent to the Wolf beastmen consuming their body, then there is nothing that in human laws would be considerably legally wrong. They are DIFFERENT SPECIES.

However, I do believe it would be considered morally wrong, as it is something seen as primitive, and as an animal characteristic. It will be seen as you acting on primitive behavior. Again, this is for beastmen. I do believe that Merfolk, as different people with a different culture, sees it differently, much like how in our world we have different views on different acts depending on where we live (see euthanasia and abortion for an example).

TL;DR If a Wolf beastmen ate a sheep beastmen it wouldn't be cannibalism as much as it would be a taboo act

BASIC UNIVERSE INFO:

"The Paranormal doesn't come to our reality easily". Our reality and the paranormal reality, are almost paralleled, in a sense. They coexist, with same places being in the same location, but the way the world works is wildly different. WHile we follow the laws of physics and the rules of the matter, the Paranormal reality is not like that. Chaos, and absurdity thrives in that. Between the two worlds exists this force, called The Membrane. It makes our reality safe from the monsters and other horrors in the Paranormal side, also called Other Side. However, it can be damaged. Mostly by the Fear that people have. This fear breaks the membrane isn specific shapes, in which the paranormal takes to manifest in specific forms in our reality. Ordo Realitas is a secret organization, leaded by the mysterious Mr. Verissimo, in which their agents specialized in the Other Side fight against the evil and make sure the major population has no knowledge of it. The Other Side manifestates in 5 different "types" of beings and events, called the Elements of the Other Side. Element of Blood The Blood is the entity of Feelings. It seeks the intensity: pain, obsession, passion, love, hunger, hatred - everything envolving feeling an extreme emotion pleases the Blood Entity. The extreme feelings of Blood surpass the Knowledge's reason and calmness. Element of Knowledge The Knowledge is the entity of consciousness. Discovering, learning, knowing, deciphering. Having one's own perception of the Other Side and its entities pleases the Knowledge element. The reason and logic of Knowledge reintegrate and suppress the Energy's chaos. Element of Energy The Energy is the entity of Chaos. Everything that cannot be explained, the intangible, anarchy. The constant change, the heat and the cold, the light and the darkness. Everything that involves unpredictability and transformation pleases the Energy Entity. The Energy's transformation overloads the Death's effects. Element of Death The Death is the entity of Time. It seeks the lived moments, distorting the egocentric perception of each individual's existence for its own satisfaction. The temporal distortion of Death ruins the Blood's carnal perception. You may notice I've only touched 4 of the 5 elements. These are the elements that are able to penetrate our reality and manifest itself, as they have entities and relics in our reality. the fifth Element is the Element of Fear The Fear is the entity of the unknown and the infinity. Present since the dawn of humanity, it changes the nature of the universe. Its differentiated existence is a mystery. The Fear cannot exist as a beign or as a physical form. Anyone touched by teh Fear Element is someone transported to the place on The Other Side,The city that doesn't exists, the City of Tenebris.

BASIC STORYLINE INFO:

As common knowledge by those who fight the paranormal, Ordo Realitas has bases all around the world, as the fight against the paranormal is not something set in only one place. One of the branches is the Nycticorax or Night Raven branch. Where young prodigies, from all over the world, join into teams in training, with seemingly minor missions, so that they may learn how to be great agents. (All TWST cast is made into prodigies who, in some form or another, had contact with the paranormal, and due to their great skillsets, they were contacted to become agents in training.) (the characters, for the means of this au, are treated as if they were player characters made for the universe of AOP.)

Like, I sorta had vague ideas but nothing good enough. this is the first time i'm posting bout them, so i'm sort of afraid still I guess? I dunno. I debated over my TWST Idol au with some tooth rotting fluffiness, or the Dragon Slayers AU with both ideas for a hurt/comfort or a hurt/no comfort, but again, this being the first installment of people knowing Fern, I don't think it fits (specially the hurt/no comfort if u remember how it was lmao) Then I could do some normal NRC stuff but I had no ideas for that besides "Hiking date goes incredibly chaotic. Ruggie Bucchi x Sapphix Laurentius - Jealousy

Sapphix was excited to come see this years VDC. She had come to the last years one, but due to how... torublesome, it was, she was afraid to attend to one of the musical performances again. However, even though left and right she had to give her autographs, she was happy to see so many interesting researches and artistic renditions of the world. And she had the company of her favorite Hyena, to make it even more fun. "Shihihi did'ya see the price those dumbasses are paying for those snacks? I could make them for half the price and it would be thrice as better." "Oh I bet it! I still remember when you made me those donuts, what did you even put on it to make them so tasty?" "Chef's secret. Buuuut every secret can be paid to be spread..." "Oh shush it!" As the duo (couple? who knew at this point!) made their way around the stands, they found the... Mountain Lovers club? What even is this? "Oh no..." Ruggie said before the tall teal haired boy gave his soft and lowkey condenscending smile at Sapphix and his Hyena almost-boyfriend.

"Hello there Sapphix-san, Ruggie-san. Would you care to hear about my research?" "Hell no, we were just going to-" "I want to! These mushrooms look so adorable, is it about them?" "Wha- Hey! He is gonna try shoving them on ya or something, i've seen Jade do that before." Jade put his hand to his chest, and looked almost hurt, though his tone didn't seem to share that same sentiment. "Your words wound me profusely, Ruggie-san. I was merely trying to explain the intricacies of this mushroom species I've so carefully and effortly cultivated myself." "Aww look Ruggie, it looks like it has a little veil on it! Let's hear it, pleeease? I'll pay you some food in return."

Ruggie mumbled and grumbled about not wanting to, but accepted nonetheless, he was actually hungry and wanted something fancy for once. "Thank you for your attention. My name is Jade Leech,, Junior from class 3-E, and I am the founder of the Mountain Lovers club. My research is solely based on the phallus Indusiatus, or Veiled Lady mushroom. You see these species [...]" Sapphix kept intringuinly looking at the examples Jade cultivated, and inquiring him about the little mushrooms, which only helped to sour Ruggie's mood even more. He wasn't really the jealous type, usually. He was pretty confident that he could do whatever he wanted if he wasn't caught, but with Sapphix it was different. He didn't want to steal from her, or do something that would hurt her. He actually, genuinely, liked to be around her and to hear her laugh and see how she would smile so cutely at him. Seeing all this attention, he is used to only seeing being given to him, given to someone else... It actually hurt.

Ruggie didn't even noticed that his ears and tail were droopy, and that he had instinctively gotten closer to Sapphix. It was like an instinct, protect the mate or whatever. One who noticed, however, is Jade, he looked at Ruggie and smiled "Would you have any questions about the mushrooms, Ruggie-san?" "No, Sapphiiiiiix can we go now, i'm starving in here hearing him ramble" His glare was clear as day, however Jade didn't retort at all. "I do believe I've finished my presentation. Hope you have a great date." "Oh, btu we aren't-" "Yeah, thanks, bye forever or whatever" ruggie pushed sapphix away into a fancy food stall, still with a pout on his lips. The girl was not dumb, and she had noticed his jealousy, but all she did now was get near him and hug him, making him all flustered. "Hey Hey! What's that for?!" "Consider this my revenge from you playing spelldrive with Vil's pupil instead of Going out shopping with me" "Wha-DO YOU MEAN EPEL? YOU DID THIS ON PURPOSE?!!"

The day started as noisy as ever on the manor. Creeps walking from side to side, doing their businesses. But a certain someone gets her spotlight in between them, with her very pink and girlie clothes, which if you squint hard enough and maybe close one it would sorta resemble what it should be: lab clothes. Eri made her way, with a pile of papers, to her "oh so lovely" Sir Cody. Her gas mask having a pink undertone and cute heart filters around her face, and her goggles being very impractical with their heart shape but when does she actually uses it? It destroys her makeup, damn it! She entered quickly the lab, receiving a groan of annoyance in return

"So sorry Sir Cody for getting late, I didn't remember if it was pink bow day, or white bow day, oopsies!" She did her apologies, but with a way too cheerful tone for Cody's liking.

"Did you at least bring the right papers this time around?"

"Yes they are right here!"

She run to the big office table that Cody did his reports, but misplaced her foot and fell, getting the papers all around

"Uhm... Teehee, I'll guess I'll have to clean up" she put her index finger on her cheek, giving a very... Anime girl style apologetic smile.

"Ugh... I hate my job sometimes... At least I can perform my test on you without you squirming around."

Eri was quick to pick the papers... To the best of her abilities, with acrilic nails so long, it was difficult, but she managed in the end.

Cody, though, was not on his best today. Maybe that helped worse his annoyance. He had a mad headache from overworking, and is now working solely on caffeine to function. Due to Eri's shenanigans, he had to rework his reports twice now, and he is getting tires pretty fast of her bullshit.

"Sir Cody Sir Cody!! The papers on your table! Do you want something to eat? Some water maybe? Or maybe you could use a nap?"

He... Didn't want to admit, but he really needed to sleep... After his reports, that is. His sleep deprivation started to make him have weird thoughts, for him at least. He never noticed how the pink Bimbo always tried to make him take more care of himself. Sure, EJ did that too before, and Toby tried, but it didn't have as much effect as her insistent way of doing it. He may be treating her a bit too badly, recently. It's not exactly HER fault she is a dumbass who doesn't know anything remotely related to how to act inside a lab, maybe she was homeschooled? Anyway, he maybe... Maybe should try being nice to her for once.

"Hey, Eri..."

"Yes Sir Cody, right at your way!!" She exclaimed with a big smile.

"no need to. Just... Thank you for taking care of me when I don't do it." He took his gas mask off, turning to look at her with a soft smile. Eri thought her heart would explode from that, and she, for the first time, was lost for words.

He... Never smiled at her. I mean, not like this at least... His sweet smile is so precious to her that she thought she would start crying.

"And... And I guess you are not so bad... You can actually be entertaining when you aren't a human hazard."

Tears were streaming down Eri's face after the closest to a praise he has ever given her. She run after him, to hug him, and she did reach him, but she hit her head on his microscope, which was way too tall for her.

"Mr Codyyy... I am the happiest girl on earth and moon and stars for being with you! Thank you so much for never pushing me away!" His sweet smile turned into a deadpanned face. That is literally all he does to her, everytime. But he noticed her head was with a cut from the sharp edge, and her forehead was bleading.

"Sure... Now go WALKING and sit on your chair so I can clean the blood"

"What blood?"

He groaned just like when she first came into the lab. It was gonna be a looooooong day...

I got a bit carried away with dialogue, you know I love then just... So much... They are just the silly little goobers. The yippies.
