Bear with me here ok? Ok.
Teardrop Mar Morto
6’2” 80 year old half-elf, adopted, gravewalker ranger, ex-single father, and all-around pain to be around
In the beginning of the campaign, Teardrop presented himself to be a sort of happy-go-lucky dickhead. Very unserious, but still somewhat charming… or, at least, has the capability to be charming.
Everything started going downhill when he started having beef with one of the other PC’s, Dirk the very dumb and lovable centaur. This is when the second layer of him started to show— a jaded, jealous, and selfish old man who will do everything he can to get what he wants. And, of course, the thing he truly wants is his daughter back. He doesn’t care what he has to do to get her back and has already (in game) given away his arm to the Abbot in order to get one step closer.
(Spoilers for Teardrop under here, other players LOOK AWAY) (they don’t really go on tumblr so it’s a bit pointless to do this but WHAT IF)
Because he’s a gravewalker ranger, he’s bonded to a wraith who just so happens to be his childhood best friend, Rosemary, nicknamed Simon, that he used to be in love with before Rosemary eventually ended up leaving to do something… well, better with his life.
Ever since Wraith-Rosemary showed up when Teardrop was 50, he has done everything in his power to get Teardrop to help him. Teardrop, busy taking care of the most important person in his life, his daughter, refused time and time again.
Rosemary was quickly sick of Teardrops refusals and so he decided to get rid of the problem: Teardrops 10-year-old daughter. Rosemary possessed Teardrop after he fell asleep one night and killed her in his body.
Teardrop still refused to help him for years. But, of course, he eventually gave in and went out traveling to find Rosemary’s body, or what remains of it, and put it to rest.
Then, of course, he got pulled into Barovia with the rest of the party. So. He’s gotta put that on pause for a little while longer! Much to his dismay.
And, even more to his dismay, Teardrop may never leave Barovia, if he gets a say in it!
With finding out that his biological family lives in Barovia along with his … ahh, curious interest … with the devil Strahd himself, there’s not much left for him elsewhere. Except for the ocean, which he still wants to see. At some point.
And obviously I’m leaving quite a decent amount of info out, but… teehee… feel free to ask whatever else you want to, i will say literally anything about Teardrop he’s all I think about theres So Much
