i'm almost caught with replies so here are a list of plots i would absolutely die to write out!
Hill House - group of stranded siblings reunite in their childhood home after some weird and traumatic thing happened. if we do want to add romantic pairings to this we could either throw in their partners or make it a former foster home/orphanage.
Romcoms!! bonus points if it's based on leap year or the princess diaries 2.
A plot inspired by Anastasia the movie - maybe set in modern times?? maybe set in the past?? in the future?? the possibilities are endless.
One of those plots where we each just pick a muse (or maybe make one if we are feeling daring) and use a randomized to pick a scenario and action and just throw them there without doing any plotting at all.
Similar but different. We each pick or make a new muse and don't tell the other any details. the difference is that we have two threads going on simultaneously. one set when our muses are 20/30 and the other a good twenty years in the future. we explore how life has changed them and get to see it in direct because in one thread they are still young and innocent and in the other life has gotten to them.
threesomes, polyships. especially if it's an established couple opening to a third member. or two friends who rather than fight over their shared crush decide to join forces in seducing them. maybe the cliché i'm helping you get this person but opps i fell for you along the way??? only i like them too.
anything with friends to ...??? best friends who slept together and now it's awkward and the friendship might be ruined and it's breaking both their hearts. best friends who have always been in love but both consider the other too good for them. friends turned strangers that reconnect and wait is there a spark?? unrequired crushes!!! classic friends to lovers. friends with benefits that act as a married couple but then one of them calls it quits because they got themselves a s/o.
apocalypse aus. two vastly different people thrown together into an unlikely scenario and having to work together. rivals/enemies having to put their differences aside and team up to survive. i tried to kill you in the past but you're the only person who can help me get to x and the future of mankind depends on it. we used to be friends but you left me behind to die and look who is here now... etc.
supernatural plots!!! anything and everything but especially something like the first seasons of supernatural with our muses saving people and hunting monsters. which leads to creature/creature hunter. i want more vampires. i want witches. i want muses who can speak to the dead and go around solving mysteries thanks to them.
horror plots!! with our muses being the bad guys. with our muses being haunted. with our muses chased by serial killers. anything!
something with submissive boys ?? not necessarily just in the bedroom. maybe they live to serve their partner. they are soft and gentle and nurturing. i want to explore the whole thing.
coworkers!!! with!!! tension!!! maybe everyone knows they are made for each other but them. maybe they truly can't stand each other but might have imagined how it would be to shove the other against the wall and furiously make out with them. maybe they are sleeping with each other but play pretend at work... maybe it's a super soft slow burn!!!
single parents!! single dad x single dad, single mom x single mom, single dad x neglected married park mom/dad, single dad x teacher, single dad x coworker. single dad and single dad/mom whose kids are best friends and spend all their time together getting often mistaken by strangers for a family. exes who now are single parents reuniting!!

Matt and Elektra at the gala might be my favorite version of Mattelektra. A great team, playing on each other's strengths, half flirty, half snarky and pushing each other's buttons, both smug and having a great time even if Matt's pretending not to, both beautiful.

Pouring one out for my favs...
Well, it’s over.
Granted, the Daredevil fandom has had some time to adjust and to be prepared, but it still hit hard, right in the gut, seeing the words on the screen. I’m truly filled with sadness and heartbreak over this chapter of the Marvel Netflix universe officially ending.
Who knew that when I decided I'd give Daredevil S1 a shot after hearing all the great reviews that I’d find myself here, so damn emotionally invested that I’d be helping run a save our show campaign. Or that I would have met so many kind, talented, and generous individuals just by simply existing in this little tiny corner of mine on Tumblr and churning out Mattelektra love?
And to be honest, while Daredevil was my hands down favorite, I absolutely treasured every other Marvel Netflix show. There was not a single one I didn’t binge right away (well, to the best of my ability with two young kids at home!), and even when it fell flat, I still enjoyed the ride through the world, the stories, and all of the meaningful notes and interactions the characters shared together. One of my favorite memories I will always treasure is SDCC 2017 and seeing the entire Defenders cast from the 3rd row in Hall H and watching the first episode with the cast and a packed, screaming room full of fans...followed closely by getting my daughter’s DD artwork signed by the entire cast (including f*cking Sigourney Weaver wth??). These shows have given me the BEST memories while also getting me through some shit times, so I’ll never regret giving them my all. Not one bit.
I know that a lot of people are mourning, and will probably be in mourning for a while. Many of the LC, IF, DD fans haven’t finished mourning either, especially since this entire situation is shitty for every single cast, crew, creative team member that have put so much of their damn souls into creating these shows. But as long as some hope exists, I’m not ready to stop fighting. I love these shows, these characters, the fans, THIS FANDOM. So if any of you decide at some point you’re ready to fight, there’s a lot of people at #SaveDaredevil who have your back.

flarrowverse characters in marvel netflixverse
(wow um I found this in my drafts and I don’t know how long it’s been here for but I figured it would be worth posting given I want insp for my lauryssa fic. not to mention I am possibly making a series of gifsets with these characters just fyi)
so I have had this idea in my head for ages, and I have actually started a multichapter fic (called the devil in star city) starring laurel as matt and nyssa as elektra. but I kinda wanted to flesh it out a bit and see about the other characters in both universes. this is mostly because I am suffering from writer’s block but also because it would be cool to think of netflix marvel characters and their flarrowverse counterparts.
so ofc laurel lance is matt murdock, bc that au is practically begging to be written anyway. the obvious comparison is the fact that they’re both vigilante lawyers but I think it goes deeper than that. they both question morality a lot and are sensitive people. they also both felt like they were abandoned by their mothers to some extent (dinah lance and maggie murdock) and relied more on their fathers (quentin lance and jack murdock). a lot of the time they found they had to pick up the pieces of their fathers, in different ways.
they both have best friends that are also their professional partners (and this is where I headcanon joanna de la vega as foggy nelson - I think because both matt and foggy and laurel and jo have really great banter, which is welcome among the whole legal back and forth, and because they make formidable teams legally speaking). and both laurel and matt are (in my head anyway) head over heels in love with born assassins, which is why nyssa al ghul is my elektra natchios. and I think with both mattelektra and lauryssa there is some bad history between them, but in the end, laurel and matt never stop standing by nyssa and elektra and they never give up on them. I also have talia al ghul as stick, because I think talia and nyssa would have had a similar dynamic to them if they found each other as adults and talia decided to train nyssa.
I think for me, tommy merlyn is karen page - because I am currently writing the third chapter of aforementioned fic, which is set in an aa meeting. I don’t know karen from the comics that well, but I know that in the show she does deal with addiction, so I kept that theme and am looking forward to exploring it further. plus I just love the idea that tommy is the damsel in distress who is saved by laurel lance and joanna de la vega, attorneys at law :) that and I think there was good chemistry with tommy, laurel and jo in season 1 of arrow and that was something I wish we could have seen more of, scenes with the three of them.
outside of daredevil, I kinda love the idea of oliver queen being danny rand, and shado being colleen wing, mostly because she has a dragon tattoo on her shoulder and colleen is known as daughter of the dragon :D not to mention I think it would be gr9 for ollie to be taken down a peg or two and reminded of his privilege the way luke did with him in defenders.
I lowkey want sara lance to be jessica jones and have thea queen be trish walker. mostly I can literally picture sara looking at laurel (not knowing that’s her sister) with a scarf around her eyes saying “you look like an asshole” and laurel replying “it’s your scarf”.
I realllllly love the idea of cisco ramon as claire temple. like can you imagine him finding laurel in the dumpster and laurel waking up and being like “who the hell are you?” and cisco just sighing exasperatedly saying “I’m the lucky guy who pulled you out of the garbage”. cisco works at starling general hospital in the emergency room and like claire he’s an er nurse and the unsung hero of starling and central city.
john diggle is definitely a contender for luke cage, but my misty knight is still unclear. maybe dinah drake? like that would be a lot of fun lbr. and she’s already a pretty badass cop so it would be cool. or maybe it’s just because I still love spartancanary and want them to hook up at least once ;)
mckenna hall is most definitely the brett mahoney of this universe - the one just being tired of all the goddamn superheroes in starling city but who also is reluctantly thankful for them at times. :)
lena luthor would be an excellent jeri hogarth imo - mostly because she gives off sapphic vibes, lol, and has the capacity to be morally grey in an interesting way.

Man, I really think the DD writers and team never expected Deborah and Jon were going to have such an on screen chemistry and didn't know what to do when Kastle ran over Karedevil like an 18 wheeler. They stumbled upon magic dude and wasted most of it.
I mean, honestly.... KD never had all that great of chemistry. Even in S1. It just kind of fell flat. But I think most people didn’t notice the lack of chemistry until S2 came out & the audience saw both Kastle & Mattelektra interacting.
Because KD didn’t stand a chance once Kastle & Mattelekra were introduced to viewers.
I also think it says a lot that they never bothered to do a chemistry test for KD (even though my understanding was in S1 it was a planned ship) but they had Elodie chemistry test with Charlie...
Make of that what you will.

Chapter Summary: Frank goes bowling with Karen, with some surprise guests along for the ride. At the end of the night, he comes to a realization that will change both of their lives forever. Frank's POV.
“I can’t believe I let you talk me into this.”
The bowling alley reeks of stale beer and the distinct odor that only comes from hundreds of people renting the same shoes over and over again. He's grateful that at least they stopped letting people smoke in these places, so there’s no lingering stink from an endless loop of burning cigarettes like there used to be.
There are times when he feels like he grew up in a place just like this one, and he has distinct memories of laying on the shiny, slick floor, breathing in the smell of wax from underneath the seats as his father and his buddies bowled game after game. To be honest, they were also downing beer after beer while smoking pack after pack of cigarettes. They were serious bowlers, so serious that they brought their own shoes. They even had jackets embroidered with their team name: The Knockouts. Not super original to be sure, but that was their name, and they were damn proud of it.

Matt opens his mouth as if he’s going to say something, but he’s cut off by a godawful wailing sound that progresses rapidly from a soft mewl to an outright scream. Foggy has plenty of extended family with small children, and he’s heard that particular sound too many times to count, but he can’t place it in the context of Matt and his apartment.
“Is that…” Foggy pauses, struggling for words in the face of the sheer absurdity of what he’s about to ask. “Is that a baby?”
“That,” comes the reply, “is the complicated thing that I was referring to earlier.”
