The group was having another one of their usual sleepovers. This was now almost an every night occurrence. In a strange way, everyone being together brought comfort to them all after the hellish night they would have just gone through. And tonight was no difference.

Everyone was panting and gulping nervously, trying to calm down and catch their breaths.

“Is everyone ok?” Taylor asked. “Anyone need some waters?”

“We’ll be fine..” Tyler said gruffly.

Taylor glanced over at Ashlyn, who was in the corner and already on her phone. Taylor gave the ginger a worried look and crawled over to her.

“You ok?” She asked as she sat in front of Ashlyn, sitting on her knees and fidgeting with her hands nervously. Taylor does this a lot around Ash. She’s pretty..

“Ya. Documenting everything that happened tonight, plus any supplies we may need to hide in the morning.”

“Always such a hard worker,” Taylor said with a tired smile. She couldn’t imagine doing all of what Ashlyn did. It worried her. Taylor hoped Ash was taking the time to actually take care of herself.

“Can’t afford to rest,” Ashlyn said gruffly.

Taylor gave her an anxious look upon hearing that. “Now Ashlyn, I’m sure we both know that’s not true!”

Taylor looked up from her phone and raised an eyebrow. Her green eyes bore into Taylor’s soul. But she wasn’t complaining.

Ashlyn set her phone face down on the floor. “What do you want to do, then?”

Taylor felt her face flush. She realized the room had gone quiet. Aiden and Tyler were in the kitchen and Ben and Logan were playing the game sticks on the other side of the room.

“I..” she stared at the freckled girl. “Maybe, um.. I can do some different hairstyles on you!” Taylor offered.

Ashlyn tilted her head. “Hairstyles?”

“Ya! I’ve never had any girl friends before. And Tyler’s always had short hair. So, um, I’ve never gotten to play with anyone’s hair before.

Ashlyn gave Taylor a look that made her feel like she had just recommended the most stupidest of ideas in the history of the universe.

But, eventually, Ashlyn sighed. “Maybe that would be nice.. help me get my mind off of..” she softly gripped her wrist. In the nightmare world, a phantom had managed to grab Ashlyn’s wrist.

No wonder she’s so stressed Taylor thought.

Taylor reached into her pajama pants pockets and pulled out a ponytail.

Ashlyn turned her back to Taylor and Taylor ran her fingertips through the ginger’s long hair. Taylor always admired Ashlyn’s hair. How long it is, how silly it is, how graceful it is.. the complete opposite of her own, always grimy and oily from mechanics club and short, but never looked the way she wanted it to..

She tried out a couple of hairstyles on Ashlyn, the two laughing a bit as they exchanged jokes and secrets.

“Tyler is a moron,” Ashlyn said with a blunt, yet playful tone. “How do you deal with him?”

Taylor laughed. “You kinda have to when he’s your twin!”

Eventually Taylor finished, letting Ashlyn’s hair fall back down to her shoulders like an angel settling its wings.

Ashlyn’s shoulders had relaxed quite a bit over the 30 minutes the girls had been chatting. She seemed.. happy.. and that made Taylor’s heart do backflips.

“That was.. kind of fun. Maybe having friends isn’t too bad,” Ashlyn said, making Taylor smile like an idiot.

“Ya, well, sometimes you’ve just gotta give people a chance!”

Ashlyn turned, the corner of her mouth curved into a slight smile. “Hm.. maybe. Or maybe you’re actually bearable.”

If it were anyone else, this would’ve sounded like a backhanded compliment. But Taylor knew that’s not what Ashlyn meant. In fact, it was rather high praise.

“Ya, well.. “ she was hand fidgeting again. “I like hanging out with you a lot..”

Ash tilted her head again. Taylor loved when she did that. It was always so cute.

“You’re really interesting. And your personality.. well, it helps me calm myself down. It’s so quiet and peaceful around you..”

Ashlyn looked rather surprised and Taylor immediately regretting her words. She can’t just go around d saying stuff like that!

She felt her face turn into a cherry and she quickly turned away. “What I’m trying to say is I think you’re really cool and reliable! And I appreciate you immensely for all you do!”

She could still feel Ashlyn’s eyes staring right through her, as if she were an open book. And she probably was. Taylor was so bad at hiding her feelings. She always wore her heart on her sleeve.

“Taylor..”

Ashlyn’s voice brought her back to reality and she looked up at Ashlyn, who was looking at her like a lioness. Beautiful, proud, and powerful.

“Yes..?” Taylor whispered. What was this look Ashlyn was giving her? Why did it make her feel like an overheating pipe? Like a robot’s hardwire malfunctioning? Like.. like..

Like a lovesick idiot?

Ashlyn was about to say something before Aiden and Tyler burst back in, Aiden chasing Tyler. “Tickle, tickle, tickle!”

“GET AWAY FROM ME!” Tyler yelled, throwing a blanket at him.

Ben and Logan look up in shock and get up to try and separate the two.

“I..I should go take care of my brother..”

Ashlyn sighed. “Ya. And I’ve gotta get Aiden to calm the fuck down, too.”

Ashlyn got up and went over to scold Aiden.

Taylor watched her, desperately wishing to call her back. To ask her what she was going to say..

But no words came out. Taylor looked down sadly before getting up to help her brother out.

She always wondered.. when would it be her day to have a great love story? Or maybe she watches too many romance movies…

Then again, none of those movies were like her. A girl desperately pining for the girl with freckles and red hair and emotionally distant attitude and the cute mannerisms and.. and..

“Taylor, why are you red?” Tyler asked.

“I think I’m malfunctioning..”

When she’s in a comfortable position with you, she probs drools.

Sleeping/cuddling with Aiden is a very humbling experience.

He watches tiktoks with you because he thinks it’s a bonding experience while you guys snuggle. (just ignore his fyp it’s cursed…)

Before you guys cuddle, you have to force him to take his contacts out because every cuddle sesh ends up with the two of you falling asleep.

But when he sleeps with them in his eyes become all dried when he wakes up.

(Red also confirmed Aiden to have contacts, because he’s blinder than a bat, and it’s also why his eyes are red because his contacts are coloured.)

Like Ashlyn, he drools… but not just a small bit like the ginger. He’s drooling fucking RIVERS.

He moves about in his sleep, like a lot. And when he settles, it’s only for like a maximum of 4 mins before he’s squirming around like a worm again.

BLANKET HOG ALERT!! WEE WOO WEE WOO. If you ever wake up cold, you’re gonna turn to see Aiden with YOUR OWN blanket cuddling up with the whole damn blanket cuz he srsly subconsciously wrapped himself a cocoon.

When you guys are cozying up together, he’s literally in top of you like the human version of a weighted comforter.

And if you feel suffocated with him on top of you, he’s pressed up to your like a leech looking for affection. I’m talking limbs tangled together and every thing.

AND HE’S SO WARM OMFG, ITS CRIMINALLY INSANE HOW COZY THIS GUY IS. A literal damn furnace.

For being such a big guy, you’d automatically think he liked being big spoon. BUT THAT IS FALSE INFORMATION HE LIKES BEING LITTLE SPOON!!

If you knew him before the accident, he used to hum you to sleep as you guys snuggled!!

And when he eventually does fall asleep while cuddling he goes so still like he turned into a rock.

It feels like sleeping next to a dead body…

Except the dead body is incredibly warm instead of being all cold. And if the deceased body had a vice grip on you like I’d be let go you’d disappear.

This girl is full of sm love and affection, she loves to show her appreciation for someone through physical touch!

Like Ashlyn she’ll always make sure to have a hand on you, even if you guys are firmly pressed aging eachother like sardines in a can.

ASHLYN is someone who is very in tune with her emotions. she's very well connected with herself and knows immediately when she likes you. that doesn't mean she'll tell you though. as the leader, she believes it to be her job to keep the entire group safe and that means not getting into a relationship with you as to focus on the major problem at hand. unfortunately, that doesn't stop her from getting dejected at the sight of you being flirted with.

you are attractive, everyone can agree on that. and you are not hers, that is a plain fact. yes, you two flirt sometimes, but that doesn't matter because she immediately stops and walks away when she feels things are getting too real. it's only to protect you, after all. maybe, after this was all done and over with, you two could be happy, together, in a relationship, as a couple.

her eyebrows furrow as she watches the scene in front of her unfold. she was clearly disgusted, her already mean rbf becoming ten times worse.

"okay well your shirt just looks really nice!" the stranger complimented as you looked down at her, a warm smile resting on your face. ashlyn was beside you the entire time, her arms crossed as she glared at the stranger. "thank you, thank you! well, it was nice to meet you-" you were tryng to end the conversation as quickly as you could so you could get back to hanging out with ashlyn who you could tell was frustrated. "ah! wait before you go could i have your instagram? number even?" the question caught you off guard but before you could respond ashlyn did so for you. her heart burned at such a question, even though you weren't hers, she was used to people just assuming you two were in a relationship when you were together and backing off of you. she was frustrated, no furious, that someone dared to make a move on you, her face contorting from her rbf to a scowl. "no." she replied for you, coldly, grabbing your hand and turning around as she sped off with you.

once you were at a far enough location, you were quick to question her. "what was that about ash?" you asked sincerely as you sat next to her on the bench, watching passerby's go about their lives. "you know what it was about." she responded quickly, avoiding eye contact as you let out a sigh. "i don't get it, if you like me you'd ask me out like the others, no?" you questioned again as she turned to look at you. "if you want to be in a relationship just say yes to 'the others,' no?" she questioned back as it became your turn to avoid her gaze. you stayed quiet for a few seconds before letting out a small, "i only want you though." with her super human hearing, she obviously heard you clearly, the tips of her ears turning a pretty shade of pink as she looks down at her feet, than back up at you, a sudden boost of confidence taking over her as her hands cup your cheeks, forcing you to look at her.

"trust me, the moment i can, i will."

if there is one word to describe AIDEN, it would not be quitter. from the moment he laid his eyes on you, you were his; to him and everyone around the two of you. he courted you relentlessly, flirting with you, buying you expensive gifts, dropping you off to your classes, picking you up. honestly people at your school eventually just assumed that it was no longer courting but that you were actually in an official relationship. and aiden was happy with that assumption, it only bothered him that strangers didn't also think so.

going to the nearest gas station, you and aiden decided to pick up snacks for yourselves and the rest of the group as an apology for being late. while at the cash register, you couldn't help but notice the nervous worker looking at you up at down as you took the items out your basket for him to scan. "is something the matter?" you ask him, to which he only blushes and shakes his head, avoiding eye contact with you while scanning all the snacks you were purchasing. you look down to grab your wallet which aiden stops you from doing by grabbing your arm, giving you a wink while whispering a joking "i gotchu, don't worry my baby girl." you only hit him back, a small laugh escaping you lips as you shake your head no before making eye contact with the cashier once more.

"you're so pretty." your eyes widen as aidens head practically shoots up to glare at the poor cahier whose thoughts accidently fell out of his mouth as words. "excuse you?" aiden questions as he swipes his card. "oh im so sorry! i didn't mean to say that!" he fumbles nervously, confirming aidens payment and grabbing bags as he clumsily places the snacks in. "it's totally fine! don't worry about it," you can't help but giggle at his behavior, watching the cashiers eyes grow even wider and blush get darker as he hands aiden the bags, wishing you a good rest of your day. you (and aiden) feel his eyes on you, watching you exit the store as you turn slightly, raising your hand to send him a goodbye wave but aiden grabs your hand before you can, effectively dragging you out of the store and to ashlyns place.

the walk was quiet and the atmosphere between the two of you were thick once you were reunited with the rest of the group. you all worked on your project a bit and argued over what the best next move to make would be before deciding to go to sleep. to your surprise, aiden still took his spot next to you as the entire group fell into a short slumber. unfortunately for you, the events of the day were still playing in your mind, causing you to fall in and out of a state of drowsiness. it didn't help that you could also feel aiden shifting next to you as well before he finally gave up on trying to avoid holding you and wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into his neck.

"once we survive this night, we're gonna have to talk about making us official because if one more person tries to flirt with you, im going to lose my mind."

TAYLOR is not one to be jealous. no matter what you're relationship with her may be, she is calm and collected and knows how to express her feeling in a healthy way. that's why it was so shocking for her to walk in on you kissing a girl she'd never seen before, someone you'd never told her about. she felt her heart shatter into a billion pieces as her eyes welled with tears. she didn't know why, the two of you weren't even in a relationship so she had no right to feel this way, right? right.

she made her way into an empty classroom, sitting down at one of the desks and laying her head into her arms as she sighed, remembering the moment once again. it was weird, her heart stung at the thought of it, it almost made her nauseous.

she only lifted her head when she heard the door open, prepared to apologize to some teacher about being in their classroom without permission. to her surprise it was you.

"hey can we talk?" you ask as you make your way over to taylor who shakily nods her head with a quiet yes. you sit yourself on top of the table her head was previously laying on, "im so sorry taylor, i didn't mean for you to see tha-" shes quick to interrupt you, placing her hands on yours. "no! its totally fine, we're teens of course your going to be kissing people." she states before looking down at the table once again. "it's just a little confusing." she says. "what is?" you ask, not understanding what she was getting it. "well, when i saw you kissing that girl it kind of hurt. like my stomach started churning and i got dizzy. then there was this feeling in my heart- hey why are you laughing!" she asks, genuienly confused at your sudden burst of laughter. "im sorry, sorry! it just seems like you got jealous because you have a little crush on me." you're quick to apologize and respond, bringing your face close to hers as she blushes, subconsciously leaning in before your lips finally touched. when you finally pulled away, out of breath, she continued tug your shirt wanting more, something that seemed very out of her character for her.

"im gonna keep kissing you until the lipstick from her lips is replaced with mine."

concept : taylor helps ashlyn carve a pumpkin

genre : oneshot, fluff

content : mild use of curse words, the whole group is mentioned,

“i’m about to make it look like the next phantom i’ll be seeing..” ashlyn thought as she stared at the pumpkin, gripping her knife harshly. logan tried assisting her but accidentally made it worse. tyler and aiden are making fun of each other’s pumpkins. ben is grabbing drinks. taylor was… where’s taylor?

ashlyn’s breath hitched when she suddenly felt taylor’s hand on her shoulder “what happened to yours?” taylor giggled. ashlyn narrowed her eyes and slightly blushed out of embarrassment “i tried.” she mumbled, causing taylor to let out a laugh. “it’s.. something.” taylor smiled.

taylor took the last pumpkin available and set it in front of ashlyn “let’s do it together.”

the blush crept up to ashlyn’s cheeks, she nodded. ashlyn’s eyes slightly widened as taylor held her by the wrist, guiding ashlyn and occasionally taking the knife from her to cut open some parts herself.

insanely protective

when you are in the phantom dimension this girl is mostly focused on making sure you don't get hurt/die

keeps you away from Aiden in that dimension so you don't end up getting roped into something stupid

Altho she isn't the most affectionate person, she will grab your hand and squeeze it tightly when she is nervous

she begrudgingly...after ALOT of begging, allowed you to play with her hair, when it is undone it is super wavy from being in those plaits all day

if you every get seriously hurt/die in the demon dimension, she will act calm and collected at first, but then totally lose it

she wont cry until she is alone of course

refuses to leave you alone until she knows you are better

after that she doesn't let you leave her sight

she just wants to keep you safe and close to her

Aiden Clark~

your more of a mother/father than a girlfriend/boyfriend-

CONSTANTLY bouncing off the walls

literally-

at one point in your relationship he would tell you he had a cute date planned....you had no idea that it was skydiving

he loved it

you not so much

in the phantom dimension he is using you to back him up in arguments

and he definatley tries to show off for you at one point

when they get locked in the mental assylum, he paints his face as you instead of the clown because why not

he found it endearing, you found it absolutely terrifiying

if you die then he will go silent, not as energetic or bouncy until he knows you are okay again, he constantly brings you things to entertain you with while in the hospital

he just wants you to never get bored of him

Ben Clark~

the most sweetest boyfriend ever

he will buy you flowers out of nowhere just to see you smile

sometimes he feels bad that he cannot say how much he loves you verbally

constantly has hand cramps from writing huge paragraphs about his love for you

the type of boyfriend to just pick you up and hug you when you are mad

you help him calm down when his temper starts to flare up

he really enjoys doing soothing activities with you such as pottery, painting, and baking

he is AMAZING at baking

he loves making you food

in the phantom dimension he likes to have you on his back

to reassure him that you are still there and safe, and also as a way to have quick access to you when you are in danger

if you die in the phantom dimension he will have this deeply disturbed look on his face

he honestly looked after you better than the doctor did

he brought you home cooked meals, your clothes, some things to cheer you up

he wants you to feel loved and to know that he will always be there for you even though you cannot hear him say it

Taylor Hernandez~

such a sweetie

she is so good at reading your feelings and can tell when you are upset/ when something is bothering you

she has pictures of you two together all over her wall so she always has something of you with her

she loves matching outfits with you

she 100% owns a shirt that says "i love my boyfriend/girlfriend" and has no shame in wearing it

she has this ritual where she kisses each picture of you before bed each night and saying "i love you y/n" over an over until she has kissed each picture

Tyler was just stood in the doorway of the room terrified-

in the phantom dimension you both make a vow to protect each other

and she will protect you with her LIFE is she has too

if you die in the phantom dimension she would never forgive herself

she would think its her fault as she didn't stick to her side of the vow

she let you get hurt

will sob infront of everyone

honestly needs more comfort then you do

when you are on the road to recovery tells you all these silly stories about her and Tyler to see you smile

she wants you to never leave her

Tyler Hernandez~

this one is a mixed bag

lets just say you will be very aware when he has entered the room

you slowly help him start to enjoy baseball again

he invites you to practice to show you off to his team

you are now lumped into his protection pile

congratulations, you are now one of his top priorities

he wont say it very often, but he adores you

and he misses you very much when you aren't around

he plays guitar for you when he is feeling especially loving, he teaches you the songs his dad taught him

when you are in the phantom dimension he gets very angry very easily

he is just so overwhelmed and worried about keeping you AND Taylor safe.

he is terrified he would of failed in his job of protecting you

if you die in the other dimension he would be angry at everyone but mostly at himself

he would close off, he wouldn't speak to anyone and he ends up flunking some of his classes to see you at the hospital

he is very aggressive to everyone else but when you are getting better at the hospital he is all gentle smiles and sweet tones

he owes it to you for letting you down

he wants to be able to feel that he can provide and protect you

Logan Fields~

he thinks he doesn't deserve you

why would you pick someone small and pathetic when you can have the full package like Tyler

despite his self doubts he treats you as best as he can

he is the most cliche person ever

has definately watched the sun set with you

study dates are a must

you both defo have this little potted flower that you have "raised" together

he tells you ALL about flowers as he has alot of knowledge about them

when you are in the phantom dimension he always has this dreaded feeling sitting in his stomach

as if he knows something is gonna happen to you and he wont be able to stop it

the feeling would eat him up inside

if you die in the phantom dimension, he would be determined to be the reason you got better, that it wouldn't happen again

he wants you to view him as worthy of your love, and he would do almost anything to earn that

Aiden

This man is literally never leaving you alone

There are pros and cons with being a comfort place for Aiden

But to get something straight Aiden is definitely kept in line by you

All is takes is one look and he is definitely knowing he's gonna get an ear full

But knowing him, he keeps going

It’s Aiden, for god's sake

He is kinda bummed in his own mind on how you’re not actually his blood related sibling

He could have used you a whole lot when he was going through stuff growing up

He thinks you would have made it a little better

But he’s happy he now knows you and that you’re his unofficial sibling now

Against your will of course

He’s the annoying little brother for sure

Your friends are now his friends and his friends are definitely your friends

It’s a given

He is always dragging you into all his shit so of course when stuff is happening with those fucking demons man you are right there with him

You have literally no escape from this man

The sibling to just come into your room, mess with your hit, check himself out in the mirror, push your phone into your face and walk out

Ben

He is more subtly protective of the people he loves

Especially when that fight went down when Logan was trying to help out that kid

He values you a lot even if he physically cannot say it

He is always subconsciously next to you because he finds your aura a bit comforting

Especially because you took on that older sibling role

He’s taller, people find him intimidating so he never really had anyone be the one to comfort him or to be the one that treated him like how you do

It was something new for him and he turned out to really like it

It was nice to know somebody cared about him in that way

He’s always been kind of alone in that department so for you to step in and help him like that?

It was refreshing in a way and he doesn’t want to lose that

And it just was a bit jarring to him at how much you cared

If you do small things like do sibling like picking on him, or protecting him, or ruffling his hair, messing up his shit playfully and stuff like that

He may pretend to get annoyed but he does find it fun and will do it back to yo

People look at you guys and just from how you act are shocked at how y’all are not in any way related

He does wish you guys were

His life would be a lot better if you were his older sibling, he thinks

He’s the stereotypical “I don’t care!” and “I don’t need it!” type of person to anyone else but to Taylor and you?

He’s different towards his siblings

It was just very natural in a way when you somehow became that older sibling like role for him

He was somewhat relieved he didn’t have to hold the entire older sibling burden on his shoulders anymore

He may appear to not need the help or want that type or care for himself but let me tell you something

He needs it, and he probably secretly craves it

He’s always been the stronger one, even if he is a twin he felt he needed to be that for Taylor because if not him who else?

And all older siblings know that burden

So he may not show it but he definitely finds a bit of comfort and solace in you being that for him

He won’t break down, he won’t do what other people might do to show they appreciate it, or he may not even really speak on it

But he shows he does in little actions like protecting you, checking up on you and helping you in ways he would only usually help Taylor in

He does need that older sibling care though because mans is probably gonna have a breakdown

In the hospital scene he ran to both you and Taylor and you guys were the only thing on his mind as he kept running

That was probably the tightest hug you have ever gotten from him

Everyone probably thought he was going to you guys to comfort y’all or that he was worried about you guys

Don't get me wrong, he was both those things

But he was also terrified and holding onto you, his older sibling, because he needed your comfort then

She really appreciates you

She loves having older siblings

She may not really like the cons that come with being treated like the baby of the family or being younger but she loves having the comfort of older siblings

It’s like a blanket and safety net she can’t describe to anyone else

She may have only started out with Tyler but she somehow found you along the way and she has never been more happy

She is very protective over her siblings also

Even if you’re not biologically her sibling she is just the same with you

She’s always happy to be around you, to annoy you and even in the bad times

In the dream like hell you guys go to everyday at night she always is around either you or Tyler

You guys bring her a comfort she can’t describe but a comfort she always wants to be around

She is terrified of you guys getting hurt, especially after what happened to Tyler

She sometimes forgets you’re not biologically her sibling

But does she care??

No. She does not care one bit.

Ashley

It may have taken some time for Ash to even be comfortable or even acknowledge how she feels like you’re an older sibling to her

She’s an only child so she’s never experienced a sibling-like bond before

So to have you appear in her life so suddenly caught her off guard

Especially with how you showed you cared, or how you treated her like someone would treat their sibling

But she actually liked it

She gravitated towards it when she got more comfortable with the thought or when she needed it

Especially when shit gets hard in the hell you guys are all forced into at night

She likes that you have her back and she has yours

It’s a protective thing she loves

And like Tyler she is happy to not have to hold the entire burden of everything just because she’s older

Her parents more likely like you as well just because f how much their daughter does

Ash has you over a lot, everyone else as well, so much so your stuff probably is around her room a lot

Ash may not be used to having an older sibling to go to but when she does?

She can’t help but like it

It’s a foreign comfort to her

But she likes it, a lot
