Sometimes, I wonder what SBG would be like if it were set when the six were in college?

Taylor and Ashlyn meeting because they're roommates, and Taylor being excited to meet a new friend whilst Ashlyn is keeping to herself and listening to music all the time.

Aiden coming to meet Ben after a lecture and meeting Logan (and freaking him out).

The Sorrell Weed House trip being for a history credit they need and it being the easiest and quickest way to get it.

The Crane people (I forgot their name) being a mix of students and teachers like some sort of college cult.

Tyler already having a scholarship and finding it harder and harder to keep it with the lack of sleep he's getting.

Aiden not actually going to school but having to find excuses to stay around the campus so he and the group can plan and strategize.

Ben spending hours searching in the library or scouring the internet for answers as to what's going on.

Ben's bullies haze him and him having to watch logan and so many other new students go through it before he flips his shit.

The crew being so done with the phantoms in the middle of finals week they spend the whole night studying whilst in the phantom realm.

Rumours going around that they're drug addicts and that's why they all look tired.

I'm glad Red set it in high-school years but sometimes I wonder how it would change the plot

The only reason Ashlynn accepted to interact with the infected was because she felt guilty. She thought it was all her fault, Tyler and Aiden dying, Logan getting hurt, the gang starting to turn into phantoms… She thought it was all her fault. They ended up in this terrible nightmare only because of her. She never showed but ever since Tyler said it was her fault that they ended up there, she believed it. Every. Single. Word.

When she got hurt by that phantom on the ceiling, she felt guilty and selfish for getting hurt, that meant she would be a problem, a burden to them until they got to the graveyard again. She felt terrible when Tyler flew out of the car and died, just because she didn't turn back to save him. She should have heard the ceiling collapse before everyone, she was the one with the super-hearing afterall, but no. She didn't hear it on time and Aiden died. All because of her…

So there she is, sacrificing herself so her friends would be safe, getting almost killed just because she feel like she deserved it..

No. She didnt deserve to die yet, not when the others are still in danger. It was her fault, and she couldn't die before they find a way to escape. She didn't deserve to die, she needed to get them ot of this mess just like she dragged them in. That was when she felt the phantoms get control of her, that was when she opened a rift for the secod time, that was when she realised how she could get them out of this world, she needed to sacifice herself and close the rift from inside after they get out. There was no escape for her, and she was glad there wasn't. She didnt deserve it anyways..

Everything was too much for Ashlyn. The facility, learning that their parents were stuck in here and killing the infected. The minute she was thrown into the phantom realm, she moved away separating herself from the others. She killed someone, she killed a person. Sure they were infected, but still a person. Although as disgusting and grotesque they were still a person. Murderer. That's all she was a Murderer.

Everything felt too much, she didn't have ear plugs or headphones to protect herself from the sounds of others. She couldn't think, it was too much. Her skin felt itchy with the turtle neck, it felt like she couldn't breathe. Her skin didn't feel right, nothing felt right.

Shaking her hands and tapping her feet on the ground to try and rid herself of this awful horrendous feeling. The others rushed up to her, talking to her. She didn't hear them all that she knew was that it was too loud, everything was too much. She shouldn't be like this, why was she being like this. The group needed her. Her friends needed her. But when some touched her she immediately hit the person's hand away as she tried to back away as much as possible.

i swear yall would be like “should we go out today” look at each other for 5 seconds and say “nah”

she would teach you some gymnastics and laugh when your just lying there complaining how you aren’t flexible

probably is more of a person that gives you gifts, or gives you a hug in stead of comforting you with words

she would be a bit awkward at first probably

also I don’t think she likes excessive physical touch cuz red confirmed that Ashlyn is autistic but when she gets used to you she would be okay with it but still, don’t go too hard on her

you let her play/stim with your fingers

you’re always there for her when she gets overwhelmed and she loves you so much for that

Days went by so fast for Aiden. Ever since that day he decided to dye his hair, the day he decided to smile and hide his everything behind it. It was for Ben, for his family. He didnt want to see their hopeless faces whenever they look at him. He hated being the family burden, the failed child, the experiment child. So he started smiling like there is no tomorrow, he started to live like there was no tomorrow. He became reckless, brave, a danger-lover. All because it made him feel alive again, his heart beating so fast, his breath stopping for a second from the adreanline, thats why he was getting better after they started going to the phantom realm, he felt alive every single day, and he didnt have to do anything to feel that way! The phantoms were enough for him to feel alive.

But he still wanted to die.

After seeing Tyler being alive after being impaled by a tree, he tought maybe he could feel what dying feels like, and won't make his family that sad by not dying actually. So he stood there when he heard Ashlynn yell for everyone to get under something, he wanted to die, and it was the perfect opportunity for him! So he stood there and wait for the ceiling to fall on him. He smiled at how that feels, he finally got his wish! and everyone was relieved he was alive, the only thing he didnt like was Ashlynn shaking and crying. He was a failure afterall, why would she care for someone like him?
