Can’t stop thinking about the women can easily flip ghost or konig into the fucking ground. Like a sack of potatoes because they are strong like that.
Can’t stop thinking about soap shooting his shot on the K-9 handler but fumbled when she gave him her full attention.
Can’t stop thinking about Ale getting beet red, squirming, and stuttering when one of the women sit besides him and flirt with him. Looking at him with her intense and alluring eyes.
Can’t stop thinking about Price who is usually compose and sharp minded getting distracted and blank when the female captain, speak and he just straight of the bat agreeing with her.
Can’t stop thinking about Gaz being coodle just because how cute he is, the ladies coddles him, and always compliments him doing a great job. Making his head spin and dying inside.

It's finally here!!!
Tumblr media
Graphic design is my passion LMFAO but as i said i would do a while back,i've created a masterpost of all the Jason Todd content that's worth your time! This is rather long but he's existed since 1983 so!!
Base edit is my little sister @mayameanderings and tagging @coffeemilkcatz and @nanaonmars since they said yes when i asked if they wanted me to!Let's dive in then!
Batman 408-426,Detective comics 568-582,Superman annual 11,New Teen Titans 18-31,Blue Devil 19,Action comics 556 and 594,Batman Annuals 10-12 and Batman(The cult)for pre-reboot Robin!Jason my beloved
Nightwing Year One 101-106,New Teen Titans 55,Nightwing 10(1997)and Legends of the Dark Knight 100 for Dick and Jason siblinghood,Gotham Knights 34 for the short story of him and Alfred and Detective comics 790 for Bruce telling Cass about him as it takes place on Jason's birthday
Lost Days aka the Red Hood prologue
Under The Red Hood(2010)-The original comic is good in it's own right but the movie is leagues better written(Rare comic book adaption exception lmao)
Robin 177 and 182-183 for tha actual Tim and Jason beef instead of 'replacement' and 'enemy to caretaker' bs
Azreal:Death's Dark Knight 3(Can't give commentary on this one since i don't know Azreal like that, sorry)
Red Hood and The Outlaws(2016).Unlike the Utrh comic vs the Utrh movie, the original Rhato has nothing positive like the reboot
Not TECHNICALLY Jason BUT Duke is his favorite brother and Stephanie's the only Batfam girl he's truly close to so you should also stan them since he'd want you to /lh
Red Hood:Outlaw for the confirmation that Red Hood loves black women from infinity to infinityyyyy(meaning his love interest Dana Harlowe is introduced and featured as an mc in this run)
Urban Legends 1-6 for his return to the Batfam-Messy tbh but i do enjoy parts of it!
Task Force Z for him and Stephanie being a vigilante team and it has a prelude, that being Detective comics 1041-1043
Unkillables and Joker:The Man Who Stopped Laughing for Jayrose goodies and more of the above
Gotham War if you feel like turning off your brain to look at good art and laugh at dogshit writing
Red Hood:The Hill is his current run and when our queen Dana comes home from comics limbo!!!
The following is a misc list that's not required to include in your Jason knowledge but HIGHLY recommended you do just for fun!
Tiny Titans 23,29,33,39,45 and 47,Bombshells 46,60 and 62,Bombshells United 18-24,Lego Batman:Family Matters,A Death In The Family 2020,Batman:The Adventures Continue,Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 5-6,The Doom That Came to Gotham 2023 and The Teen Titans Go episode 'The Best Robin'(Pre-Reboot Robin Jason rights!!!).Also look up 'Nobody cares about Tim Drake' if you don't know what that is,you'll love it
Jason also appears in the Lego DC Super Villains games that i highly recommend as well especially because my girlfriend is a mega fan of it and i don't know much about Lego Batman 3:Beyond Gotham but please avoid the aformentioned original Rhato,Red Hood:Outlaws and the Gotham Knights game as they feature extremely problematic writing not limited to but including racialized misogyny and ableism and do disservice to Jason himself anyway so you wouldn't want to consume them to begin with if you want to like him.I have mixed feelings on the Arkham Knight and Injustice games series' but they are objectively fairly good so i wouldn't say no to giving them a shot to see if you like them
And for the finale we have Wayne Family Adventures-Definitely a good read but to be totally honest it does Duke DIRTY and it sucks so much of DC to have marketed as his series to not only not follow through at all and make it an ensemble cast instead but ALSO deprive him of his actual characterization and story to make him a demure weak black boy stereotype.I won't judge you at all for liking it if you decided to read it or have already but kindly keep this in mind and consider joining me and my mutuals in our rewrite of it to give our Signal of Hope and Chaos the writing he deserves or at least support us through likes and reblogs!Happy Jason readings and have a good day💕

TRIGUN ULTIMATE OVERHAUL 2.0 MARCH UPDATE
OVERHAUL FRIDAY 03/03/23 - Big news and more page examples.
Hey everyone and welcome to this month's Trigun Ultimate Overhaul update!
The last month has been pretty uneventful for the Overhaul team, as our members, including myself, have been dealing with life stuff and has been forced to put the project a bit in the background until we have time and energy to work on it again.
But despite this small hiatus it hasn't entirely been without development, as we are pleased to give you guys some good news.
~~
Team Overhaul will be joining efforts with the Russian speaking team,「Project SEEDS」.
We will be sharing workload on both the cleaning, typesetting and translation aspects, allowing us to work faster and hopefully have Overhaul 2.0 out faster than we initially expected. That will bump up the project numbers from the current six with an additional twelve.
It is a cross-cultural effort with English as the primarily spoken language, but with the goal of creating the best English and Russian translation possible for the Trigun manga. The two translations will be made in tangent as both Japanese translators will be comparing translations, allowing both to ensure a high quality localization, then comparing both translations to retain the same information and feel.
We hope to one day also grow a larger branch for the Spanish translation, making the Overhaul project an even more world-wide, multicultural effort.
There will be a small adjustment period for the two teams to get a feel for one another, and for all the tasks to be distributed. But after that, I am excited for what lies ahead for the project and excited for a speedy work flow.
Anyway, enough information. Time for some 2.0 teasers!

Iona Harrison (Younger Sister, Alive) Trivia:
🐿️ Squirrel is the eldest son of his family and the fun one too. 🐿️ If you needed to prank on someone. Quietly ask Squirrel to help you out. He's the EXPERT of that. And you think him being a sniper is his ONLY expertise? 🐿️ He got that name "Squirrel" by Kanoa. Because of his playful nature like a squirrel and also hiding his food from others too. 🐿️ He was planning to be a CIA agent. Just like his dad but yet ended up being picked by Graves to join the Shadow company instead.
Background Story:
Nigel was born in the state but his blood is Scottish. Just like his mother's side of the family. Except his accent is not like Scotland. If he wanted to, he could.
He's been a prankster ever since he was a boy. Loves to make some gadgets out of scraps and use it on people just for fun. He even got in trouble once in Elementary and once in High School. His mom gave him a good scolding.
His father wasn't around, due to his job. His father has been a CIA Agent for a LONG time ever since he married his mother. He usually sometimes visits Nigel and his mother and his sister. And gave them gifts to make it up for loss times.
Nigel doesn't mind his dad missing out most of the time. He knows that his job is important. And that is what makes him feel so inspired by his dad.
He was planning to take classes in college to earn a degree that is related to a CIA career. But his father doesn't want him to because he needs his son to stay and watch over his mother and little sister. Which Nigel also understands.
His mother could see that Nigel wanted to be like his dad to protect the world. And going on adventure instead of staying home. So being a spoiling mother as she is. She suggested to him that he should sign up for Military.
Which Nigel finds intriguing. So he decided to sign up for it until he was 18.
He finds it hard at first because being a bit scrawny at that time is difficult for him to do some physical training. But he never gives up because he doesn't want to waste his family's expectation of joining this military. So he has to think smart.
During the test. They have decided to train them to hide in plain sight. Squirrel knows he'll be ok because of how much of a good hider he was when he was a kid. Even playing hide-and-seek with his little sister too.
So Nigel have been hiding in a good spot to snipe the opposite team.
And once the higher ups saw this, they were very impressed and decided to enlist him. Nigel already told his family that he got in. And they are VERY proud. Even his dad.
So serving in the military for 7 years now and he's already risen up to the rank of being a Sergeant. He was very proud of himself and started to keep on working hard. And also, his performance had caught the eye of someone who took much more interest in him.
Commander Philip Graves. The leader of the Shadow Company. He saw Nigel’s performance, he saw his potential and he saw his skills as well. He picked him to join his team which Nigel gladly took.
The rest of his story and how he ended from being a Shadow to a Warrior. That would be the story for later. 😉

182 Days of TPN - Day 117
Chapter 117: “Breaking into the Cage, Part 2”
The fact that Anna can locate the different medicines they need on such high shelves is such a simple thing for me to be impressed by, though that may be due to me being nearsighted.. but for real, how can you tell it’s exactly what you’re looking for from so far away? Wouldn’t you wanna read the fine details first?? Of course it’s fun to see Emma effortlessly scale the shelves too.
Tumblr media
Ray chiiillllll, the girls will be fine! They could handle themselves with or without Hayato being there. Just accept this precious boy’s help.
Tumblr media
As quick and accurate Ray is with shooting the demon’s eye here, I wish he could’ve been as efficient 59 chapters from now..
Tumblr media
I know it’s been revealed somewhere that what Ray saw beyond the glass were the mass production children, but I gotta wonder how he handled seeing them, like obviously he’s so shocked that he came to a full stop, but then what? Did he slowly turn away and catch up to Hayato? Or did Hayato go back to snap him out of his confusion then both proceed to run away? Did Ray ask him about what he saw or did Ray keep it to himself so he could focus on the task at hand? Many little possibilities to this scene that’s never really brought up again.
Tumblr media
Aahhhh it makes me wanna cry with how well she knows Ray. Yeah it’s mainly due to the promise he made way back after their escape, but also because of all the times he probably had to cover Emma whenever she did something reckless, which is often.
Tumblr media
The location of the GF identifiers proving once again to be a major disadvantage with how noticeable their numbers are. I imagine this is one of the logical reasons why Ray wears his scarf, especially when out in the wild around demons. When the kids settle down in paradise a few chapters from now, he ditches it for a while since they’re all safe. (naturally he wears it again during later arcs, even in the human world despite being safe there, but whatever. he looks nice in it.)
Tumblr media
Anna in tears: “I’m a healer, but...” Also, the demon language isn’t very common anymore, at least according to Shirai at the start of vol16, so it’s kinda hilarious this one knows a tiny bit French.
Tumblr media
Saving Emma’s life one moment then coming close to ending it the next. I dunno how often Zazie says actual words, as he rarely speaks to begin with, but now is a rare occasion in my memory when he does so, even if it’s just saying Hayato’s name. (i still can’t get over how season two gave him such a low voice either. this dude is five.)
Tumblr media
Very forceful head pat.
Tumblr media
Love that Hayato warns the others of Zazie being dangerous when the big guy is just chillin’ and looking at butterflies.
Tumblr media
Favorite panel/moment:
Hayato is doing his best!

Violations of Indigenous Peoples’ Rights in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) During Partial Military Mobilization
Tumblr media

By Anonymous
On September 21, 2022, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, announced the partial mobilization of the 18-49-year-old male population in Russia to participate in the war with Ukraine. On the same day, an order of the military commissar No. 182, "On the Announcement of Mobilization," was issued in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Unfortunately, partial mobilization activities in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) involve numerous human and Indigenous rights violations and violations of the provisions of federal Russian legislation on deferral and exemption from military service.

For example, as the Russian Ministry of Defense argues, there are no set quotas for mobilization. Instead, each region and ethnic republic have a separate mobilization task, which depends on the number of citizens registered in the military. However, in reality, mobilization is carried out indiscriminately in both large and small rural villages, without regard to the size of the ethnic and male population, and without considering the rights of Indigenous Peoples. Thus, in addition to the people eligible for military service, many people who are not eligible for military service were mobilized in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) – those, who did not serve before, students, elders, people with disabilities, and heads of families with many children (Source: Open letter to Putin from the chairman of the Sakha Shamaev Congress). Summonses were handed out late at night (1:00 - 2:00 am) with a minimum time for gathering of their belongings (2-3 hours) and with the threat of imprisonment for five years in case of refusal to mobilize. In the early morning (5:00 - 6:00 am), the mobilized men were taken by bus or planes to the assembly point in the city of Yakutsk, where there were sometimes not enough places for accommodation. There were not enough blankets, linen, or basic shelter. At temperatures below 0°C (less than 32°F), mobilized people from uluses (districts) were forced to spend the night in tents without heating, covered with mattresses.
Tumblr media
There are cases when subpoenas were served during calls to the enlistment office for reasons not related to mobilization. Some men were taken from their working places even without returning to their homes first.

While the official Russian authorities conceal the real statistics, an analysis of the first days of mobilization in the Russian Federation from September 22 to September 25, 2022, conducted by anti-war activists in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Republic of Buryatia, the Republic of Tyva, and the Republic of Kalmykia, as well as independent Russian media shows ethnic selectivity and a blatantly disproportionate number mobilized from ethnic regions compared to the central regions and cities of the Russian Federation. Thus, from the small settlements of the Far North, almost the entire able-bodied young male population has been mobilized. In the Olenek Evenki national region, where the total number of people is 4,324 people, and the number of young men aged 18-35 is only 128 people, 50 people are subject to mobilization. This is 39.07% of all young Evenk men in the region. In the Kobyaysky ulus (district), where Evenk Peoples (a small numbered Indigenous Peoples with a population around 22,000 people) live, men have been taken from their reindeer herds by helicopters.

Tumblr media

At the same time, according to eyewitnesses, there was practically no mobilization among the Moscow and St. Petersburg residents. This mobilization is taking place just ahead of the cold Arctic winter, which requires serious preparation and efforts. Despite this, men working as stokers, electricians, drivers, as well as men engaged in traditional economic activities - horse breeders and reindeer herders - are taken away from communities that need them. Who will complete tasks that require physical strength - heat and repair houses, take care of horses and reindeer during long and cold Arctic winter? (Source: A post from Vinokurova, U.A., a member of the Supreme Council of Elders of the Republic of Sakha). Hunters and fishermen have also been mobilized. Who will provide food for people in the Far North?

The Arctic regions, comprising two-thirds of the territory of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) are already suffering from the harsh effects of climate change. Devastating tundra and forest fires over the last few years and extensive floods, the consequences of which people are still coping with, have shaken the foundations of the traditional economy of the Indigenous Peoples. The current situation, in which the most vital men are drafted into hostilities, undermines the very possibility of normal life in these regions.

In Yakutsk, the capital of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), several hundred women protested against the mobilization on September 25, 2022. Despite the peaceful nature of the protest, which took the form of a ritual dance and prayer of the Sakha people, the police arrested 24 women.

Tumblr media
Arrest of Sakha woman in Yakutsk.

Under pressure from the public, Il Darkhan of the Republic of Sakha, Aisen Nikolaev finally admitted violations in the process of mobilization and said that work was underway to return back to the republic some men mobilized by mistake. However, identification of violations requires a personal approach and a great deal of time. This may not be possible due to the hasty dispatch of those mobilized to the West. According to eyewitnesses, the training of the newly recruited in Khabarovsk lasts only a few days, after which they are sent to the Ukrainian border. Even if all the men who were mistakenly mobilized return home, there are thousands of Indigenous men who will be sent to war with Ukraine. How many of them will die and never return?

Also, in order to avoid mobilization, some men are fleeing the country hastily. Mobilization and this situation are real tragedies that will entail irreparable losses for the Peoples of Sakha, whose total number does not exceed 500,000. It is also true for other Indigenous Peoples of Siberia whose populations are even smaller.

The long history of discriminatory policies in Russia, starting from the time of early colonization, has already led to the loss, partial and sometimes complete, of the traditions and languages of the Siberian Indigenous Peoples. The loss of such a huge number of men in the current conflict with Ukraine will lead to even greater negative and irreversible consequences for the ethnic minorities of Russia. The Peoples of Siberia are under a real threat of losing their genetic heritage, numbers, integrity, languages, culture and traditions.

Military mobilization grossly violates not only human rights, but also the rights of Indigenous Peoples - Articles 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 11, 21, 22, 24 and other articles of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. However, the problems of Indigenous Peoples of Siberia - large and small numbered, still remain invisible to the world community. We strongly urge the attention of the world community to the gross violations of the international rights of Indigenous Peoples in the Russian North.

A Jewish man attacked in Central Park by a suspect who screamed antisemitic slurs and “Kanye 2024″ says he’s physically fine — but troubled by the message sent by the incident.
“Unfortunately there is just a lot of hate in this world,” the man said. “It’s definitely not good.”
At about 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, the 63-year-old victim was walking in the park near Terrace Drive and East Drive — a few hundred from the park entrance at Fifth Ave. and E. 72nd St. — when the suspect ambushed him and struck him from behind.
The attack sent the victim to the pavement, cops said. “F--- You Jew!” the attacker screamed.
The unprovoked attack left the victim with a broken hand and a chipped tooth. He took himself to an area hospital where he was treated and released.
“I’m going to be fine,” the man told the Daily News. “The police and EMTs were beyond graceful and protective to me.”
The assailant, who may be homeless, ran off and remained on the loose Saturday.
Surveillance camera footage captured him walking west on E. 72nd St. with a bike that had an attached trailer carrying personal items, including a sign that read “Hungry Disabled” , cops said.
Tumblr media
The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating.
The five boroughs had 45 antisemitic crimes in November compared to 20 in November 2021, a 125 % jump, according to NYPD stats.
In 2022, leading up to Dec. 4, there were 278 antisemitic crimes, compared to 182 in the same time period of 2021.
Surveillance photos show the man wearing a brown jacket, beige pants, white sneakers and a multi-colored hat at the time of the attack.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.

Name: Morpheus Bounty hunter title: Supernova Age: 25  Zodiac sign: Gemini Birthday, the day he was made: May 25 Parents: None Occupation: Bounty hunter / hired hand                                                    *     ABOUT      *
Number: 33XD1 later known as Morpheus was made in a Fatui lab, in an attempt to recreate a human from what was deemed to be Khaenri'ah DNA. Many attempts failed, many specimens died before even having the ability to walk and others died later on. But out of the many, nr. 33XD1 survived and was raised within the Fatui base connected to the lab. Being deemed the “perfect experiment”, 33XD1 was given special training, that didn’t shy away from torture or mental torment. This went on until 33XD1 became twelve years old, where he then one night escaped the lab and hid himself away, on the first ship he saw at Snezhnaya harbor. Luckily, this ship was destined for Liyue harbor, which was where experiment 33XD1 ended up.
Through the years that followed, Morpheus, a name given by the boy to himself, did everything in his abilities to survive, it was how he became a bounty hunter as with his high intelligence and skillset (learned from the Fatui), it was easy to carry out tasks given to him by people, of any kind. Throughout those years, Morpheus gathered intelligence from ruins and the traces left behind by Khaenri’ah, despite many telling him not to, he was simply drawn to it due to having been told it was why he was made.
Morpheus grew smarter and smarter and became a master at the art of engineering, many would call him a genius, despite a crazy one due to what he made; which consisted of drones, guns, bombs and so forth.
                                                         *     APPEARANCE     * Morpheus has a lean and defined body that is slightly above average in height at 182 cm with fair skin and freckles, especially upon his cheeks, where they are lightly sprinkled. His hair is a rich blue color with eyes as blue as an exotic ocean. Morpheus has sidecuts with wavy hair on top, that is often pushed back in a bit of a controlled mess. Morpheus can often be seen with a dark jacket, adorning gadgets that often glows a soft blue color and that are used to controlling his drones or to enhance his own strength.
                                                  *     HEADCANONS     *
Morpheus is highly traumatized from what he was put through in the Fatui lab and due to that, he does sometimes get night terrors. Though, as an adult, he has grown used to them - or, so he says.
Morpheus as a child watched a lot of death. The doctor, who made him, even shot one of the other children in the head, that was deemed a “failed experiment”, right in front of him due to Morpheus refusing to fight them. This made it much easier for Morpheus, in the later years, to disconnect himself from killing people and therefore, it become a lot easier for him to pull the trigger, whenever it was needed.
Morpheus find a kind of “joy” or “relief” in killing, which is due to trauma as this was the only way he survived when he was with the Fatui. He was forced to kill, forced to kill children that looked like him or close enough to make it clear that they were made the same way he was.

“I want to thank members of the Uvalde community for their thoughts and prayers during my ongoing recovery from unexpected medical issues I have experienced in recent weeks,” Smith said in announcing his immediate resignation Monday.

Smith’s resignation follows the departure of former Uvalde Police Chief Daniel Rodriguez, who abruptly stepped down March 12, less than a week after a city-commissioned report absolved the Police Department’s leadership and responding officers of wrongdoing in the Robb Elementary shooting in which 19 children and two teachers were killed.
The controversial report directly contradicted federal investigators’ findings that the state and local police response – officers waited more than an hour to confront the gunman – was “a failure that should not have happened.”
The shooting victims’ families slammed the report as “disrespectful” and insulting when it was initially read, and they chastised the City Council on March 7 for failing to reject it at a public meeting several days after its release.
Tumblr media
Smith previously served as Uvalde’s mayor from 2008 to 2012, and he was reelected in a special election in November in which he defeated Kimberly Mata-Rubio, a gun control advocate and mom to Lexi, a 10-year-old who was killed in the Robb Elementary shooting, which is Texas’ deadliest school shooting.
Tumblr media
“It has been a great honor to serve the city and community I love, and I have great confidence that Mayor Pro-Tem Everardo Zamora will serve with honor until the next mayor is elected on November 5, 2024,” Smith said.
In response to the announcement Monday, Brett Cross, whose son Uziyah “Uzi” Garcia died in the shooting, called Smith’s resignation “a bit disheartening.” “I thought Cody was on the right path of starting to communicate with us, and I felt he was actually going to work with us to better Uvalde and to get justice and accountability,” Cross posted on X, formerly Twitter, on Monday.
Parents of children killed in Uvalde school massacre denounce report defending cops
Parents of the children killed in the Uvalde school massacre asked the city council on Tuesday to reject a locally commissioned report stating the involved police officers should not be punished.
The shooting at Robb Elementary School occurred on May 24, 2022, when Salvador Ramos, a former student, killed 19 students and two teachers.
Police actions that day have been heavily criticized as it took over an hour for officers to breach the classroom Ramos was in.
The shooter was killed by officers with the Border Patrol Tactical Force, who ignored local police who had taken up positions in the hallways but had made no effort to engage the shooter.
The Austin-based private investigator, Jesse Prado, tasked by the city with investigating the performance of officers, ultimately concluded that all of the officers involved should be exonerated of any wrongdoing.
Prado’s extensive 182-page report, as previously reported by The Dallas Express, details every move made by each officer involved in the shooting and includes detailed interview accounts with each.
However, Prado mentioned in the report that he only received “what the Uvalde County District Attorney believed I needed to conduct a thorough and complete investigative review of the officers’ actions” and that the “internal investigation has been hindered by the lack of cooperation from the Uvalde County District Attorney” Christina Mitchell.
Prado concluded that “there were no indications of wrongdoing” for those who entered the building in the Uvalde mass shooting, including the officers and detectives.
Prado also noted the exoneration of those in police command as well as the dispatchers and officers who did not enter the building.
Regarding the review of Acting Chief Lt. Mariano Pargas’s actions due to Chief Daniel Rodriguez being out of town during the incident, Prado noted, “No evidence of serious acts of misconduct in direct violation of Uvalde Police Department’s policies was found in his behavior as acting chief of police in response to the incident. Lieutenant Mariano Pargas acted in good faith during this incident.”
“You said they did it in good faith. You call that good faith? They stood there 77 minutes,” said Kimberly Mata-Rubio, whose daughter was killed in the attack, reported The Dallas Morning News.
Prado explained that “[e]veryone had trouble with the radio. The problem was that nobody had direction as far as the other agencies involved. Lt. Pargas was able to take care of their own agency but was not able to take care of the agencies coming in. DPS took over the case after the shooter was down.”
Prado praised certain officers such as Staff Sergeant Eduardo Canales, whom he exonerated, adding, “SSgt. Canales was the second person on the contact team and also received injuries to his ear. SSgt. Canales showed unmeasurable strength and focus in the performance of his duties. SSgt. Canales had no doubt his own 10-year-old child was within an unknown class in the close proximity of the class the shooter had taken possession of.”
Prado did recommend Uvalde Police Department receive active shooter training as a “crucial element of a strong tactical response,” adding that “there is no evidence that the training [provided] was consistent or comprehensive, and it was not attended by officer’s department wide.”
“These families deserve more. This community deserves more,” said Uvalde City Council member Hector Luevano, who said the report was “insulting.”
The locally commissioned report followed the resignations of the recently elected mayor of Uvalde and the chief of police.
“I just don’t understand, you know, because all of these people are mothers and fathers, all the city council, even these cops. You know, they’re parents and I wish they would just put themselves in our shoes just for a few minutes just to see so that maybe they would do the right thing,” said Brett Cross in an interview with NBC 5 DFW. Cross was raising his nephew, who was one of the victims of the mass shooting.
Numerous investigations have taken place since the shooting, including one by the Texas House of Representatives that was critical of the actions of the officers.
“At Robb Elementary, law enforcement responders failed to adhere to their active shooter training, and they failed to prioritize saving the lives of innocent victims over their own safety… there was an unacceptably long period of time before officers breached the classroom, neutralized the attacker, and began rescue efforts,” the House report read.
A Critical Incident Review by the Department of Justice (DOJ) also noted that a “lack of clear command presence” significantly affected law enforcement’s delayed response.
“The extent of misinformation, misguided and misleading narratives, leaks, and lack of communication about what happened on May 24 is unprecedented and has had an extensive, negative impact on the mental health and recovery of the family members and other victims, as well as the entire community of Uvalde,” the DOJ report said, per ABC News.
Since the shooting, parents of children who were killed have called on authorities to charge officers involved in the delay with crimes. It took 77 minutes from when police first arrived until the shooter was neutralized. Several police officers have lost their jobs, including the incident commander and school district chief of police Pete Arredondo, but charges are unlikely, as previously reported by The Dallas Express.
“It is hard enough waking up every day and continuing to walk out on these streets, walk to a (grocery store) and see a cop who you know was standing there when our babies were murdered and bleeding out,” Cross said to NBC.
A grand jury has been reviewing evidence since January to determine whether criminal charges brought into investigation by Uvalde District Attorney Christina Mitchell’s office are appropriate, per The Texas Tribune.
In the wake of several tragic school shootings in Texas, the Texas Department of Public Safety has taken a more assertive and proactive approach to address such incidents. Steven McCraw, the director of the state police, outlined a new policy for officers responding to an active shooter at a school, per The New York Times. The policy authorizes officers to take necessary measures to quickly neutralize the attacker, even if that means overcoming any delay or obstacle that may arise during the operation. This directive aims to ensure a swift and effective response to any potential threat to the safety of students, teachers, and staff at schools in Texas.
Robb Elementary, where the mass shooting occurred, has since been demolished, and Uvalde has broken ground on a new campus expected to open in 2025, DX reported.

Uvalde’s new police chief inherits troubled department
Uvalde, a community torn by recriminations over the performance of its police department during the 2022 mass shooting at Robb Elementary School, has a new police chief.
Tumblr media
Acting Chief Homer Delgado will become permanent chief effective this weekend, city officials said Thursday.
He replaces Daniel Rodriguez, who announced his resignation last month after six years as chief.
The resignation takes effect Saturday.
The City of Uvalde announced the appointment of Interim Chief of Police Homer Delgado to serve as the permanent Chief of the Uvalde Police Department (UPD), effective April 6.
Chief Delgado brings more than 28 years of experience in law enforcement, including more than 20 years in supervisory and leadership roles, to the position, including tenure as Chief of Police for the City of Dilley, Texas.

Nearly a year ago, Delgado left his job as police chief in Dilley, a town 72 miles west of San Antonio, to become Uvalde’s assistant chief. He stepped up to acting chief after Rodriguez announced he was leaving.
Tumblr media
Delgado previously worked as a patrol officer in Ingleside, in various roles for the San Patricio County Sheriff’s Office, as an investigator for the Medina County Attorney’s Office and as a lieutenant for the Terrell Hills Police Department.
He graduated from San Antonio’s Jefferson High School and studied criminal justice and police science at San Antonio College from 1992 to 1994.
“Chief Delgado has repeatedly demonstrated the qualities necessary to lead UPD with integrity, as well as a clear vision for the future of the department,” the city said in a statement. “Throughout his nearly three-decade career, which includes a diverse array of experiences protecting Texas communities and spearheading community engagement initiatives, Chief Delgado has demonstrated his passion and dedication for enhancing public safety.”
Delgado inherits a department battered by accusations that its officers did not do enough to rescue children trapped in a classroom at Robb Elementary on May 24, 2022. The shooter killed 19 fourth-graders and two teachers that day.
Uvalde police were among nearly 400 officers from two dozen agencies who responded to the incident. Not until 77 minutes after the first 911 call did members of a Border Patrol tactical unit storm the classroom and kill the shooter.
Some of the victims’ relatives have demanded that city officials fire three Uvalde police officers who were among the first law enforcement personnel on the scene.
The relatives say those officers put their own lives ahead of those of the children and waited in a hallway rather than breach the classroom immediately.
A consultant hired by the city to assess the performance of its officers that day released a report last month that said all 28 Uvalde police officers who responded to the shooting “acted in good faith,” followed departmental policies and could not be faulted for failing to stop the carnage, given that they lacked the necessary ballistic body shields and high-powered weapons.
The report, by retired Austin police detective Jesse Prado, focused exclusively on Uvalde police officers, not the much larger number from other agencies including the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Border Patrol.
Nevertheless, Prado’s findings infuriated many family members, who have spoken out at recent city council meetings to condemn his conclusions and demand police firings.
Uncertainty over who would lead the police department compounded the families’ frustration.
Tumblr media
Adding to the fraught atmosphere, Mayor Cody Smith, who some family activists saw as sympathetic to their cause, unexpectedly resigned on Monday, citing unspecified health problems.
Tumblr media
Council Member Everardo Zamora, who is serving as mayor pro tempore, said at a council meeting Tuesday that neither he nor the council could fire any police officer.
That decision would lie with the police chief or with City Manager Vince DiPiazza, he said.
Tumblr media
“By law, according to our attorney, we cannot fire any police officer. By law, I can’t,” Zamora said.
In a statement, Delgado said he was “deeply humbled and honored to accept the position of chief of police for the city of Uvalde.
I am committed to fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and integrity within our police department.
These values are not merely words on paper but guiding principles that will shape every decision and action we take.
“We owe it to the community we serve to hold ourselves to the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct,” he added. “I want to be clear: the Uvalde Police Department is on the brink of a complete transition. We will challenge every member of our department to rise to a new level of professionalism and accountability.”
The statement did not address the fate of the three police officers targeted for dismissal by family activists.
Delgado played a role in the confused aftermath of the Robb Elementary shooting, when hundreds of police officers converged on Uvalde from towns and cities across Texas to support the local department.
Some of those officers interfered with news-gathering by ordering journalists off public sidewalks and positioning public safety vehicles to prevent photographers from taking pictures of funeral processions.
At the request of then-Mayor Don McLaughlin Jr., Delgado stepped in to oversee the out-of-town officers while still serving as Dilley’s police chief.
In an interview with the San Antonio Express-News at the time, Delgado said he regretted that journalists had been hassled and that he had instructed the officers to respect the First Amendment.
“We’re not there to interfere with the media,” he said. The out-of-town officers went back to their own departments within a few weeks.
Uvalde officials hired Delgado as assistant police chief in May 2023.
In Dilley, Delgado did “an excellent job of building strong, transparent relationships between the citizens … and the police department,” DiPiazza said at the time.
Delgado “brings 26 years of diverse experience including prisoner transportation, patrol, criminal investigations, hostage negotiations, tactical response, prosecutorial investigations and police administration,” the city manager said.
Rodriguez played no role in his department’s response to the school shooting. He was on vacation in Arizona. He rushed home when he heard the news, arriving the next day.
In announcing his resignation, Rodriguez said he was leaving “to embark on a new chapter in my career.” He did not elaborate.

IN-DEPTH ☆
backstory: born and raised in miami, florida, jacket enlisted in the army at seventeen. on the bus to basic training, he met another teenager named james nicke, who sported the beginnings of a shabby beard. thus, james’ name sign became “beard”. beard began calling him “jacket”, as he wore a brown varsity jacket whenever he could.
the two of them completed training and were soon members of the us special forces, placed in a unit with two other men; benjamin daniels and erich barnes. the four of them became as thick as thieves, and their unit was soon named the ghost wolves due to their efficiency and ferocity.
the ghost wolves were deployed in hawaii to combat russian forces. while in hawaii, jacket met a woman, alice, who he fell in love with. she agreed to come home with him when his deployment was over. while attacking a russian encampment, barnes and daniels were both killed, and jacket barely escaped with his life, dragged out by beard.
jacket, beard, and alice were soon able to return home once the conflict ended, and once jacket healed from his injures, he and alice rented an apartment in miami. beard bought his own convenience store and regularly called jacket and alice to check up on them.
a few years later, jacket returned home to find that his apartment had been broken into, and alice had been murdered. as he stepped inside, he was shot in the throat by the intruder, who turned out to be one of the russians he had fought in hawaii, looking for revenge. a neighbor found him and called the police and an ambulance, and he was brought to the hospital.
several weeks were spent in a coma, and when he woke up, he had missed several calls from beard, which he attempted to return. when beard didn't pick up, jacket went to his store, only to find that it was a crime scene. beard was killed by the same man who shot him. jacket lost his girlfriend and his best friend in one fatal swoop, barely getting away with his own life.
jacket was angry. who wouldn't be? he set out to get revenge on the man who killed them, and when he found him, he beat him to death and threw up. he hadn't killed in years, and yet it still felt the same.
his life went about as normal as it could once his apartment was cleaned up and cleared by local authorities for him to live in again. jacket signed up for a newsletter that showed up in his mailbox - something called fifty blessings, for true americans. it sounded like a load of bullshit, but it was free, and it did pique his interest.
a week later, he received a box on his doorstep and a call, telling him that his order should have been delivered. jacket was confused. he hadn't ordered anything. opening the box, jacket found a chicken mask. and a note.
the target is a briefcase. discretion is of essence. leave target at point F-32, inside the dumpster. failure is not an option. we'll be watching you.
ah, of course, just what he needed - to become an unwilling hitman. against his better judgement, jacket took the easy way out and obliged the note and call. if he reported this, no doubt would he be found and killed.
once he completed the task, he said it would be his last one. but it wasn't.
each mission provided the opportunity to kill russian mobsters in miami, and jacket couldn't help it.
EXTRA INFORMATION ☆
extra:
jacket is selectively mute; after being shot in the throat, he near-completely loses the ability to speak and communicates in american sign language. he also owns a tape recorder and will play back bits and pieces of tapes
fifty blessings is an american nationalist organization. jacket does not share their views; they are manipulating his trauma to have them do their bidding. jacket isn't a xenophobe, but his feelings towards russians are complicated.
jacket is a chronic chainsmoker and an alcoholic.

Chapter 0, The Fool
I don’t even know where to begin how to tell you I got into the UFO phenomenon. I was raised religious, pretty personal relationship with our Lord and savior style, and came out a staunch materialist atheist, and by that I mean I didn’t see any sign of anything supernatural in my life. I’d spent my existentially-anxious life putting the pieces of how this world worked (tm) together. Lord knows I haven’t done much else in my life. I’m just a regular flipping guy, after all.
Sometime during the Covid lockdown, I found myself looking at the UFO phenomenon after learning that the NYT had had a headline story about a secret Pentagon Unidentified Areal Phenomenon investigative task force, and its lead investigator had resigned in protest.
What the flip? You learn about this guy (his name is Lui Elizando) and he’s been in active senior intelligence operations throughout the Afghanistan War and more, like locating Bin Laden. It’s clear on listening to him that there’s a lot he can’t say. He’s not here to break any oaths, but he wants to tell us something, something very important. He doesn’t seem like a showman, he seems like a patriot, and a father, and a brother, a darn good man just being honest.
Turns out he was part of a company [he left in late 2020] with news-to-me UFO enthusiast Tom Delong from Blink 182 called To the Stars Academy, launching promotional material for books and stuff about, like, UFO stuff. Turns out Tom has a very interesting story, a story that sounds so crazy it sounds made up. But some very serious people take at least some of his beliefs very seriously.
The partners in his company staff made it clear parts of his story were true.
One of his partners in his company is Doctor Harold E. Puthoff. Here’s his profile from a Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) released CIA profile. Wait, huh?

HAROLD E. PUTHOFF
Harold E. Puthoff, M. S. E., Ph.D., 38-year-old specialist in quantum physics, parapsychology, and paraphysical phenomena, came to SRI [that’s ahem Stanford Research Group] in 1972, where he is doing work in the area of lasers and also initiating research in biofeedback and biofield measurements. A patent holder in the areas of lasers and optical devices, Dr. Puthoff has supervised research for Ph. D. candidates in Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics at Stanford University.  His publications include a textbook in lasers that is widely used in universities both here and abroad, and over 25 papers in professional journals.
Before joining the staff of SRI, he was a Research Associate at the Microwave Lab and Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering following receipt of his Ph. D. degree from Stanford in 1967.   While at Stanford, he conceived, patented, and developed a tunable Raman laser which produces high power radiation throughout the infrared portion of the spectrum. Before entering Stanford, Dr. Puthoff graduated with a Master's Degree from the University of Florida in 1960.  He is a native of Chicago. Approved For Release 2001/03/07 : CIA-RDP96-00787R000100220005-4
Hang on, what the fuck exactly is going on right now? Why am I reading about this Stanford professor specialist in quantum physics, and what the fuck is parapsychology and paraphysical phenomena?? He’s apparently a laser genius. But why am I reading about this from a specially FOIA-requested release from the CIA?
Because they, them being the CIA, funded his parapsychology and paraphysical phemomena experiments.
I don’t know how to emphasize that for you.
I mean, I know the CIA has done a lot of terrible, far out, and way bad stuff, but what are they doing funding whatever the hell this is?
Here, let me quote from Puthoff’s own Research Paper on CIA-Initiated Remote Viewing At Stanford Research Institute:
One outcome of this change in policy is the government's recent admission of its two-decade-plus involvement in funding highly-classified, special access programs in remote viewing (RV) and related psi phenomena, first at Stanford Research Institute (SRI) and then at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), both in Menlo Park, CA, supplemented by various in-house government programs. Although almost all of the documentation remains yet classified, in July 1995 270 pages of SRI reports were declassified and released by the CIA, the program's first sponsor [2]. Thus, although through the years columns by Jack Anderson and others had claimed leaks of "psychic spy" programs with such exotic names as Grill Flame, Center Lane, Sunstreak and Star Gate, CIA's release of the SRI reports constitutes the first documented public admission of significant intelligence community involvement in the psi area.
Don’t worry, we’ll get into it. This rabbit hole is broad and it is deep.
I encourage you to read the whole Research Paper, where he explains how his method for Remote Viewing works, and some of his surprising success stories.
HERE
So this is just one of the interesting guys on this weird To the Stars Academy company’s board.
The other guy is Jim Semivan. And who is Jim Semivan?
Here’s his profile from infamous paranormal extroidinaire radio show Coast to Coast AM:
Links between the CIA and the UFO mystery stretch back to 1947. Two veteran CIA officers, both of whom have expressed personal interest in UFO/UAP issues and cases, joined George Knapp to discuss the CIA's role in the study of UFOs, and their own experiences. Jim Semivan appeared in the first half. He spent 25 years with the CIA and then joined up with other former government insiders as part of Tom Delonge's To the Stars Academy. He detailed how he was inducted into the CIA and learned spycraft, which takes years to master. The CIA works on a "need-to-know" principle, so when it came to UFOs, Semivan was not made specifically aware of research on this topic, though CIA analyst Kit Green was known for pursuing the paranormal.
Semivan described his own alien-type encounters that occurred to him and his wife starting in 1990, in which beings showed up in their bedroom. The incident was authentic, and not a hypnagogic or dream state, he stipulated. The couple subsequently observed on-and-off poltergeist activity in their home, and more recently, he said he saw a hooded figure that resembled the Death Eater character from Harry Potter, who perhaps materialized to herald the death of a close friend. Semivan said he concurs with a remark made by Skinwalker Ranch researcher Colm Kelleher that the UFO phenomenon is a lot more than nuts & bolts and machines, as there are also psychic and biological elements that ratchet up the high strangeness. To the Stars' investigation of "metamaterials" with odd isotopic ratios (possibly associated with UFOs), was ongoing, he added.
Huh. This doesn’t exactly seem to be getting less strange. These are not people I want to take lightly. And they are not exactly trying to hide their beliefs. They don’t seem to care if people believe them or not.
So there’s a strange company with some important and serious sounding people on it called To the Stars Academy. So what? What did they even ever do?
I’ll let subreddit/Blink182’s user SirJohnnyS sum it up for us (in 2021):
He hasn't discovered much. Back in 2017, Luis Elizondo ran the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program which was a then defunct program that oversaw UAP's and related incidents. It was classified and no one was willing to publicly speak about it until then.
Tom recruited Chris Mellon [former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence in the Clinton and George W. Bush administrations and later for Security and Information Operations. He formerly served as the Staff Director of the United States Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.] as well to help release videos to support their claims. As a result of those disclosures, Congress had a review of reported UAP's and asked they be investigated. 144 incidents and 143 had unknown causes in the report released this past summer.
In the upcoming [something like this passed] defense bill, there's an amendment to formalize and mandate reporting on UAP's and to go through the traditional channels with normal oversight.
A lot of what he's done has been changing the stigma about military reporting of it. It was usually dismissed and got people who reported it labeled as crazy.
I read an article today from Elizondo where he heavily implied the US had material from unknown origins.
Elizondo and Mellon left TTS since Tom has focused heavily on the entertainment side of it.
He's done a lot more than you would have thought but I'm not sure how much he'll be involved moving forward.
User Blablabene response:
For To The Stars, moving forward, will be entertainment. He pretty much accomplished what he wanted to do. Although I think he expected a bigger reaction from the world.
They basically got the government to admit ufo's are real.
User Fitzy0728’s response
It’s bizarre that the government basically admitted UFOs are real and are in the possession of material of unknown origin and basically nobody gives a shit.
When did people become so apathetic
Not even a question mark.

Building Your Future in Tech: Top Skills for Students
Tumblr media
The Australian tech industry is booming, with the sector making $182 billion in revenue in 2022. There are now over 930,000 people employed in the tech industry in Australia, and this number is expected to continue growing in the coming years. For those that want to get started in this highly lucrative industry, however, the same question is often asked: which skills are truly in demand in the tech sector? We’ll be answering this question today, alongside breaking down all the top skills you can start developing to help set you on your ideal career pathway. We’ll be providing answers to age-old questions like “what is UX design?”, and “can anybody learn data analytics?”. Or better still, “Why are cybersecurity classes so popular, and do we all need to understand AI?” And most importantly, what will the future of tech look like for its employees, and what can you expect to earn once you gain your qualifications? Continue reading to learn what skills you need to acquire to succeed in today’s fast-paced and incredibly exciting tech industry landscape. UI-UX Design intuitive and highly usable software solutions that solve real-world problems. As a tech student, you have easy access to both UI and UX design fundamentals. Unlike some of your peers who attend boot camps or gain work experience in other areas, you can learn the basics of user interface design with minimal effort and time commitment. Once you have the right software and build up your portfolio, you can receive feedback from employers and expand your design knowledge simultaneously. One of the top reasons to get into UX design is that the market grew by 70% last year alone. An increasing number of tech-adjacent industries are also realising the importance of user-friendly design in all aspects of the business. Aside from being in high demand, the UI-UX work process forces you to constantly alter, iterate, hypothesise and improve upon the work you create. Simply put, embracing the endlessness of the design thinking process ultimately makes you a better and more adaptable designer over time. Maintaining this approach of continuous self-development can be a major asset to other fields or disciplines within the tech sector, like data analysis and software development. Cybersecurity Skills Cybersecurity analysts possess a range of technical skills, making them highly efficient and an undeniable hot commodity, especially given sharp increases in the rates of everyday and corporate cybercrime. Cybersecurity specialists also often receive significantly higher than average compensation, making this professional pathway just that much more attractive for many tech students.  Cybersecurity specialists use their many different skill sets to perform a wide range of tasks in their day-to-day professional life. They develop programs for private networks and design and implement cybersecurity protocols for companies. They are expected to maintain a strong "jack-of-all-trades" approach to professional learning and skills development, primarily to stay one step ahead of black-hat hackers and keep their clients or wider company safe from online threats. In addition to network and systems security, there is also a growing demand for data analytics skills in the field of cybersecurity. Data harvesting can be a valuable method for identifying major online risks and developing risk mitigation strategies. If you have an appetite for information and learning, a career in cybersecurity could be your dream role. Data And Analytics Data analytics is a highly valuable skill set in our rapidly digitizing world. The growing role of data in various industries has generated a buzz around data and analytics over the last few years. This field is constantly evolving and developing, making it fascinating to enter, especially for young students with an eye for problem-solving and pattern identification. However, data analysis demands a high level of technological proficiency, and some roles may require coding or programming experience to design and develop databases for companies. But don't let these demands discourage you from pursuing a career in data analytics, as not all roles require such high technological proficiency. The highly technical roles in data analytics can be challenging, but they can also be highly rewarding. The Australian tech market alone made $167 billion last year, with around 870,000 employees working in the sector currently. For those that want to get started in this highly lucrative industry, which skills are truly in demand in the tech sector?Click To Tweet Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Automation There's a high chance that many people reading this are considering learning or already know at least one programming language. With the potential applications for AI growing all the time, professional roles that require a proficiency with this particular technological advancement are unlikely to become exhausted anytime soon. In fact, many transnational corporations are investing in AI tech professionals specifically because of this technology’s potential to help create highly adaptable business automation processes. If you want to forge ahead with building your own understanding of AI, machine learning, and automation, continue to grow your data knowledge and your confidence in using and developing algorithms and frameworks. All of this can easily be achieved by simply enrolling in some online courses and seeking out academic or professional opportunities that will allow you to put your new professional skills to the test.  With an increasing need for both machine learning engineers for automation and robotic scientists for improving on organisational operations and production processes, you can quite literally take an interest in building for tomorrow.  Software development Software development has become ubiquitous, permeating almost every sector, and offering graduates with a software development background a vast array of potential career pathways. Some pathways are industry-specific, such as software development, testing, and object-oriented design work, which together form the role of a software engineer. Others may require a basic understanding of software development, with this discipline comprising most of the daily responsibilities in that role. Digital marketing is a good example here. Although digital marketing specialists aren’t expected to learn how to code themselves, a basic understanding of HTML and CSS alongside JavaScript can help web marketing specialists maintain greater control and autonomy over designing digital campaigns that use site landing pages. Regardless of where you’d like to see yourself within the tech sector, it’s a universally excellent idea to start flexing your coding and programming skills without having to push for specialisation or advanced certification in newer coding languages, as Java and Python are still the most prominently used. You don’t need to be the best. You just need to be capable. And that’s the fantastic thing about coding. My effort at organizing and analyzing all of the Sweepstakes links and Q&A. I was finding other guides to be less thorough or less clear than I wanted.

I am still listening to TAZ Ethersea and mostly enjoying it, but it might be the arc I like the least, even if I think the plot is stronger than in Graduation.
The big thing is the characters. They act so jaded, quick to anger, and use various kinds of force to get what they want. Because of that, no other characters really like them! Except for people established in their backstories!!!
As a group they never really connected and it’s only gotten worse lately. The Balance trio bickered but you always got the sense they still cared on some level, even from the beginning. This group is just... fighting. They don’t feel like a found family, they feel like coworkers who often, don’t even like each other.

you know how in school how every class would assign an hour+ of homework, claiming “it’s not that much” but seemingly forgetting that every other class is also assigning homework...
that’s exactly how all these adulting tasks you’re “supposed to” be doing add up. and you get well-meaning experts each telling you doing X only takes 30 minutes a day, seemingly forgetting that there are hundreds of important things you should do daily that only take 30 minutes.
mental health professionals talk about the benefits of meditation, journaling, creative expression. hair stylists warning you against going to bed with wet hair. physical therapists reccomend a 15-minute stretch routine. nutritionists toute the value of cooking your own meals. professional cleaners will tell you ten things you didn’t know you should be cleaning! dentists remind you it would be better to brush multiple times a day. basically everyone telling you to exercise.
obviously a lot of these things are important and none of them are that difficult in and of themselves, generally speaking, but it all adds up. each of these requires time, energy, or even money. plus all the stuff you’re already doing.
I feel like these kinds of professionals can get frustrated with people STILL not doing what they’re supposed to be doing. I just wish they would consider that every other area of life has a similar expert, who is similarly telling people to do more.

something I've been thinking about for a while is, the gap between thought and action especially with social justice or creating positive change in the world
or to put another way: how do people get from hearing about an issue, and actually doing something? from watching a video essay about walkable cities, to petitioning their local government for specific changes. from hearing about trash getting into the ocean, to attending a beach cleanup. from watching a tiktok about the bees disappearing, to planting native flowers.
I believe this gap is a HUGE part of why people feel hopeless about the future. because they see the problems so clearly, but either don't know how or don't believe they can do anything about it.
and of course disclaimer, there are some people who probably really can't do anything, and they need to focus on their own life for a variety of reasons, that's totally fair. But most people will be able to find *something* even if it's "small".
It doesn't really matter what it is--I mean, make sure it's not actually harmful (e.g. supporting autism speaks)--but other than that, just, pick something and make it your thing! do it when you can. it doesn't have to be challenging; in fact, it's better if it isn't, because something you can maintain is more important!
if this post can get even one other person to figure out soemthing concrete they can do, that would be amazing.

Life is a spiritual challenge.
133. The aim of man’s activity in life can be the Absolutum or nothingness.
136. All kinds of confusion in principles is at the same time a confusion of identity.
137. The case when someone ignores essentiality involves not only that the most important thing starts missing but that there can be found something else in its place.
138. Sticking to the only-human leads not to remaining in the human sphere but to becoming sub-human. For persisting in something is to loose it: to loose that which was intended to be retained.
139. The one in whom the problems of life, consciousness and death do not arise cannot in the strictest sense of the word be regarded as a human being. Undoubtedly he looks like a man but in reality he is not.
140. If superhuman principles do not stand behind man’s intention of changing himself then he will not remain in the human state but descend to a subhuman condition.
141. Without aims going beyond life one does not only go in the wrong way but strictly speaking, one should not be called a man.
142. The one who is not able to live his life as a constant ascension, which attains its perfection in the period right before death, but from a certain age starts to descend, in reality abuses his life.
143. He who does not strive upwards, descends.
144. He who lets himself be taken by the current, is certain to follow the wrong path.
145. Today even stagnation requires exceptional efforts.
146. Every stagnation turns to regression, decline or descent sooner or later.
147. In he, who experiences stagnation in his life, descent has already started, even if it is not so remarkable that he would notice it straight away.
148. One of the striking signs of stagnation is when man puts off his spiritual tasks.
149. There are periods in one’s life when there is a considerable likelihood of a halt and of foundering taking place. For the majority it happens around the age of twenty-seven - that is between the age of twenty-four and thirty. As it is maintained »one’s world view has taken shape by then«. Of course it does not mean that it has taken shape, but that it has ended halfway. With regard to people with really insignificant spiritual qualifications this usually happens between the age of fifteen and twenty-one. And it is a considerable achievement if someone founders only between the age of thirty-three and thirty-nine.
150. Most people, as they reach total development, start to decline right away; not only somatically, but in inner aspects as well.
151. Most people are infantile until about the midpoint of their lives, that is until the age of thirty-six, and immediately after that from one day to another grow senile.
152. The majority of people are not mediocre, for true mediocrity is considerably above the average. A so-called average man is weak on every plane: the forces of darkness are just as weak in him as the forces of light.
153. People’s life as a rule fails through mediocre conditions, and not through the most negative conditions - since against the latter everyone to some extent defends themselves. But against mediocre conditions the majority of people are helpless: for these are not so bad that they would revolt against them, but bad enough to impede spiritual development.
155. Man should read so that he has the opportunity to think, to understand. For when I understand I am more than man. When I understand, I am myself.
156. In understanding I myself understand - and that is the true value of it: that I understand. It is not insignificant what I understand, but the essence is that I understand.
179. Resignation to one’s fate as well as revolt against one’s fate are lunar attitudes. A truly spiritual attitude aims at transcending fate: one does not resign and does not revolt, but by depriving fate from its importance transcends it.
180. A first-rate man seeks for first-rate men’s company. A second-rate man that of third-rate.
181. With his activity, it is always the inferior who disturbs the superior. With his existence, it is always the superior who disturbs the inferior.
182. Man should in fact stay in contact only with people who open up upward paths in his life.
