i do so want to tell you about all our nuggets, but after writing about only sergey, one out of ten, the post became disgustingly long. so i will tell you about the others in individual posts! which will come at a later time.

Sergey

they/she/he | 27-36 years old due to unexplained time shenanigans (but we just treat them like they're 36 at this point) | 169 cm | Totally not the Welfare Team Captain

Sergey is sort of our main nugget. Our mascot, if you will.

Instead of working with abnormalities, one typically finds Sergey hanging out in the main rooms – napping, flipping through risqué magazines about robots, or simply sipping soda – minding their own business. Gruff, aloof, and dry-humoured, their behaviour being tolerated by management often puzzles newer hires.

Before being hired, Sergey lived a lonely life in the Backstreets, eventually joining a Syndicate out of a desperate desire for somewhere to belong. They were content to turn a blind eye to the cruelties they and their "family" performed, as long as it gave them a home. The perfect attack dog, they ripped into anyone who dared stand against their organisation with tooth and claw. But one day, they were ordered to take out a family, children and all. They protested to the higher-ups… but for all their vicious loyalty, they were nothing more than a weapon, one in an arsenal of many. The family was killed, and for their insubordination, Sergey would be next. Just when they had no choice but to run from the "home" they had so desired… the letter of employment from L Corp arrived.

They never want to be so blind ever again. So Sergey puts up a gruff facade, avoiding connections with any of their fellow employees. However, though they wish they didn't, they do care. A lot. They're the first to leap into action for suppression when an abnormality breaches, and their lazy facade is, in a subconscious way, them "conserving their energy". Despite seeming to be a tired mid-30s slob, they refuse to indulge in any vices besides sugary sodas, all so they can be prepared to save lives at any moment.

Sergey has a huge embarrassing crush on Chesed. They don't know how he looks through the cognition filter, and have brute forced themselves into becoming robosexual. (That's where the magazines come in.) They have a collection of Chesed merch they designed themselves, ranging from badges to plushies. They keep it all hidden in a closet, so their room looks somewhat barren. (And yet, they're still the sanest employee…) The only thing they don't keep hidden is the body pillow. That one they sleep with.

Sergey is basically the Welfare Team Captain, but they refuse to acknowledge their appointment and constantly beg Chesed to pick someone else.

Excluding atypical circumstances, Sergey is allowed to work with just their favourite abnormality, Wellcheers, if they want. Because they're the cutest and the managers' favourite ♡

Sergey's friends constantly tease them about their big sappy heart. Despite the bullying, they're something like the pride of the branch, and everybody counts on them. They're even nicknamed "The Guard Dog of Hell"… by Courtney. Sergey hopes it doesn't catch on.

After particularly stressful days, Sergey often treats their coworkers to some delivery pizza or something. They rarely join in the partying and prefer to stay on the sidelines, keeping watch while nursing a soda.

Sergey is in a situationship with Goodie. It's messy, but long story short, they love each other, they've both just got mega issues. They'll work it out in the end. They're the most normal workplace romance we've got…

They like to draw and have a cute, Sanrio-esque art style. (They're not that good at drawing robots, so they want to commission Robertus…) Besides Chesed, they like to draw shrimp. They also like to cook! They don't dress up that often, but they like outfits like miniskirts and heels too. They're mostly deadpan, but get flustered when complimented, especially on these hobbies.

They kind of have this doggirl thing. Hey, we all cope.

i love these ship name polls so mucj because you can TELL just by looking in the notes who claims to be in the fandom and hasnt actually watched the show. some of these are so obvious guys. pointing at the d.px.d/c fans like. you guys have not actually watched danny phantom and it shows

Detective conan fans/the people ive adopted as my mutuals even tho theyre not ! (i follow them, they dont follow back, but i interact with the detco content they post so much that i might as well be that one guy in the corner watching the rest of the mutuals talk) HELLO- some of you have probs seen me in ur rbs/tags (depending on who sees this) , and i dont really ever post my Own things, but i do draw ! a lot ! ive done a lot of things and i want more fans to see bc everyone here is so cool 😭 this isnt an interest post more just a "hey whos out there thatll see what i post" kinda deal- ill attach some art under the cut but pretty much what im trying to say is,, (literally choose whatever speaks to ur heart)

these vary in recent-ness,, im in school and im left with very little time to draw, so some of these are from a month or two ago ;; but i only picked what i think still looks good ^^ some are quick doodles, others are unfinished, or even just drawings to test techniques (like the colored shinichi one)- and the second drawing isnt even detco LMAO

the 3rd and 7th doodles are from my project sekai au, thats an explanation for a different post,, and the last 2 are APTX!Heiji doodles !! the last ones part of a mini comic i made a bit back about him first waking up shrunk, which i can make a post with the whole thing later (maybe- it looks a little wonky)

I'm using you to confess my dubious feelings for the Percy Jackson series bc you also expressed like some weird feelings about it, and I kind of thought the series was untouchable bc of how much everyone I see fawns over it, and I have GOT to get this off my chest to someone who might get what I'm saying. But I have major issues with the writing/premise/series bc it's just feels so deeply colonized and it's bothered me since it FIRST came out and everyone in middle school and high school was reading it and teachers were assigning it. Like the whole premise for the Greek gods being in the US is that they follow Western "progress" and it completely disregards all the amazing things Indigenous did and our way of life, and also removes the importance of place-based culture for both Greek stories and Native peoples (like okay all the Greek stuff moved to the U.S. but wth happened to all our spiritual figures?? The story completelya cts like Native people weren't here and didn't have complex beliefs and ways of life connected to the land, and the gods were just free to take over here with no issues). As a mixed Indigenous kid it just rubs me wrong in all the worst ways and the academic systems love affair with Greek and Roman stuff and Rick Riordan's sheer popularity has been forcing this stuff in my face foreveeeerrrr 😭😭 I was surprised to see your tags about the fandom being weird before too tho since I don't interact with it, so I hope you don't mind this ask and just know I kinda feel the same way!! but about the fandom being weird (its literally encouraged by riordan's book tbh), in heroes of olympus, hazel is a black girl from lousiana in the 1930s?? or 40s idk anyways i think she dies and then nico brings her back. whatever, everyone draws her lightskin and with orange hair, and super skinny, (which she's from louisana. shes darkskin and does not have "caramel" hair i hate white men sometimes.) and shes like 13 btw and in a relationship with frank whos like 16. weird as hell and everyone thinks theyre so sweet. and also rick cannot write meaningful young women. and especially not girls of color. like its WEIRD how piper is portrayed as some pick me girl she constantly feels the need to express shes not like the Aphrodite girls. and rick had to make it weird with aphrodite anyway by making them a whole stereotype of snobby boys and girls who love putting on makeup. they had drew, an asian girl & counselor of aphrodite, straight up mean to piper bc she likes jason. like for no other reason. drew only wants to participate and go on the quest because of jason. and other stereotypes like making leo, latine, be super flirty.

and lets really talk about how annoying annabeth was about the blondes are dumb stereotype because, girl we can talk about misogyny and people not letting you do things because of it, but lets also talk about how you are TWELVE, and the blonde stereotype is tired. i never liked annabeth, she was really tone deaf as someone whos half black. OH AND FRANK. they had this weird ass arc where they implied he was fat because of lack of confidence? like when he got confident he, lost weight... because of a blessing of mars? i dont even know.

like as i get older its more and more annoying to see it. i literally rolled my eyes when i saw rick talking about colorblind casting when people got mad about annabeth. he could of said anything else. how this could reconceptualize annabeth's arc around misogyny and now racism. and purposely alter her character to fit this new black annabeth. but no. people treat colorblind casting as a pinnacle of progressiveness.

new opddmh updates..... like. three of them. crazy. haven't been keeping up as well as usual (acting stuff and work tag teaming my free time and absolutely destroying it) but i have finally started to binge and i truly truly love what u r doing w makoto and miu. so different but still connecting on an in-depth level and balancing eachother out ....... sometimes a relationship is an ex-reality show killing game figurehead and the world's worst teenager fresh out of the hospital against the world. do u have any insights on the way u write relationships and connections or just them in specific that come to mind bc oh my god. please do tell

TALKING ABOUT THIS FIC!!! :] big ole ramble down below lol

(i use the word "partner" a lot here but just know i am not referring to strictly romantic relationships lol)

OHHH GOD. relationship writing advice HMM HMMMMM. it really is very complex bc there are SO many different types of relationships that can be written about ghfdgjh so advice definitely varies!!! i think something helpful that i've learned is that unless you are purposefully examining power dynamics it always helps to view both sides as fully realised characters. very very rarely do you want to have a character who is solely there to agree with their second half and have no personality or history outside of this. i see this happen a LOT with romantic pairings but it's also an important note for platonic pairings as well!! ESPECIALLY if the main focus of the story is on this specific pairing-- it shouldnt feel like one person is a human being while the other is a cardboard cutout whose only purpose is to be there for their partner. again there ARE a few exceptions to this and how it is portrayed but its the main rule i like to stick to!! :]

if i feel like ive written a character who is solely there for their partner something immediate i go to is giving both characters something that separates them!! most of the time this includes fleshing out a backstory thats different from their partner, that might influence the way they see things within the narrative. give them a different hobby, maybe a different friend group! give them a different perspective on the events that are unfolding, a different way of coping that might not be beneficial to their partner!! and remember that it is OKAY for them to not agree on everything!!!! do not be frightened into thinking you need every single relationship in your story to be perfect and unproblematic and completely agreeable, especially for longer narratives that call for conflict

OH AND IN REGARDS TO FANFICTION... piece of advice i try to follow is donttttt try to mold characters into entirely different people just so they can stay happy and agreeable with their partner lol. if theres tension theres tension!! if theyre petty then theyre petty!!!!! even if there isnt conflict and youre writing fluff, you dont have to erase their personalities just to fit them together as a happy couple! sometimes the challenge in writing comes from finding what happiness means for that specific character/pairing, and that may be very different from the typical idea of romance/happiness!!

AND NOW ON TO MAKOTO AND MIU first of all. i am so sorry for making you read paragraphs upon paragraphs of me just rambling nonsense at you GHFDKGSH BUT I APPRECIATE IT!!! and second of all this technicallllyyyy is advice i guess but its WAY more specific now!!! lol

anyways when it comes to writing their relationship most of their dynamic is based off of their differences! opddmh miu is brash and loud, and even though she is trying more and more to filter what she says she still speaks before she thinks and grows restless very easily. opddmh makoto on the other hand cant afford to be brash and loud and thinks quite a lot before he says anything, and is lot visibly calmer. so its fun examining how their differences are able to influence the other throughout the fic!!!! miu NEEDED that calming influence considering the state she was in when makoto found her, i quite frankly have no idea where the hell she would be now if makoto hadnt been so patient and understanding ghfdksghkf. makoto on the other hand is a man chained down by responsibility, so much so that his life has become extremely dull in his eyes just because of how repetitive it has started to become. miu is a serious change to this and offers him some kind of purpose while also reminding him of not only how SCARED he was as a teenager first exiting the simulator but also how unrestrained he had been before the years went by. theres a balance there!!!

but at the same time, there ARE some similarities. theyre both a bit paranoid, and even if miu is more willing to be vocal about her distaste theyre both scared of danganronpa as a company. they also both strive for some kind of peace, even if they have different versions of it-- makoto wishes to be unburdened by the weight of responsibility and his Ultimate Hope persona while miu wishes for stability in her relationships with others, even if she just isnt the best at it. its why i like writing small moments such as the two of them just sitting in the car and chatting or the most recent moment where theyre not talking at all but are still comfortable in each others company-- they dont explicitly tell the other that theyre super happy and at peace but they both subconsciously understand :)

ANYWAY the pride if reinhard fic. its planned to be a twoshot atm thats just going through the most important events of poor pride if reinhard’s life. and by important events i mean All the loved ones reinhard lost and then the entire country being set on fire 😭😭 idk if any fic has been made yet focusing on how reinhard like. gradually feels hatred and anger for the first time towards pride if subaru for Doing All That but id like to focus on that yes!! like its a Very big deal. and also i wanted to give joshua a cameo bc well. the dude Already despises reinhard regularly. the moment he finds out julius and ana brutally died and reinhard is Likely half of the reason why they died (the other half being to put emilia on the throne)…… anyway joshuas gonna be very upset with reinhard thats for sure!! ..and also this fic Might need a dead dove tag. totally not for reasons.

EVERYTHING. but more specifically writing breaking points and the buildup to them 😭😭 the aftermath too!! like. even more specifically i love when the cards are Really stacked against characters and so they change for the worst. that gets me every time. they change so much that theyre like the trope where someone Comes Back Wrong and then they hit some sort of breaking point where hes Abundantly clear that theyre not the same anymore. if you get what i mean hah. but i love when suddenly everyone close to them has to confront this fact!! that theyre not the same anymore!! how will they all move forward from here?? bc change can be good or bad and its what you make of it…. will the character get worse or get better in the future??? idk i just love the angst of it all T^T the bittersweetness T^T having to confront the person you were and the person you Are and that even while theres differences theres still similarities to your past self…. which is probably why i like gluttony if and subaru a lot hah (on top of. heinkel……. if otto……..). like having to confront that this person you know and love is Different now….. that the love you shared with this person is Now gone and just a faint memory…. that stuff hits fr T^T like the baggage… the history… things wont ever be the same… that kind of feeling, you know?? and also additionally i love that quote from undertale that goes “despite everything youre still you”. yeah. yeah. 🤌 i like how this kind of development is so. its got Despair but if you so choose it there can be hope too….

Gotta say, the fanfic scene is slowly starting to revitalize, and its pretty wild to see. theres only like. 2 people consistently making things though (but im hoping on making it 3 once i get a little less busy!!! this school year has been kicking my arse)

I actually think like, all of the new stuff (minus a few fics) is mainly just soul crushing angst 😭 so if you don't like being sad I think you're outta luck in this fandom buddy. (unless you like x readers written about 5 years ago.)

If youre looking for the stuff thats more aligned with canon I'd recommend reading the great @/bugsinspace 's fics. theyre probably some of the only fics that really remember that these chaarcters are robots, and theyre really good! hit you right in the feels. Lots of found family goodness.

heres my personal favorite one from them! It hurts my heart but in good ways.

my good buddy good pal @/wootzietoozee also writes a lot of fic. They write. mostly angst lol. I like reading them though bc who doesn't like seeing their blorbos in anguish. 👍👍👍 They get. pretty dark sometimes so I recommend viewing tags before getting into them.

this is difficult... the debate in my mind between characters i just never want to see again vs characters i think would have an interesting effect on the story. for the first one ok let me be clear i dont hate him BUT the direction dc is going w him is worrying me and id like to nip it in the bud. jon kent. the introduction of trinity annoys me bad and i hate the big three now all having bio legacies. killing jon would disrupt this i think. IDEALLY all three of them (jon damian trinity) die but not forever just long enough for dc to let them go a little. but in this case jon dying forever would also work. characters who i think it would be interesting if they died. um. ted kords biggest fan voice: can we just kill ted again? look its not like hes doing anything interesting rn... idk mostly instead of dying again i want to live in a world where he stayed dead but also this does tear at me bc i love him so so so bad. but they could have him in flashbacks and elseworlds ok... honestly im not confident in either of these anwsers cuz neither r the situations id prefer so im allowed to change my mind and edit this post later if i think of smth else. actually i know this is a dc question but let me marvel for a second. can they just kill of dylan please. i want to read venom comics again but i hate that kid

The way i took one look at ur posts and youre already way more reasonable than that chuuya hater that tagged u 😭 theyre coming after me after i reblogged a funny lighthearted dazai hate post (i kin dazai (please i promise im not a terrible manipulator and person ok im just some kid who relates to some aspects to the character that are important to me T-T )) and sent me direct asks and tagged me in multiple posts, lord give me strenght, i feel like that experience actually made me like chuuya even more (even if theyre probably a troll??
