Y'all.

Episode 4.

It's the best piece of work Marvel has made after they made IW and Endgame.

spoiler alert 🚨

lemme start off with our favourite Miss Jolly Rancher Unhinged Clock and Victorian-Era HWR Fangirl. I KNEW Ravonna had somehow helped HWR in building the TVA, but him erasing her memories was straight up evil.

Then we come to the absolutely gruesome deaths of Dox and the others. HOLY SHIT MISS JOLLY RANCHER IS AWFUL like she was enjoying every second of Dox and her hunters literally getting crushed to their deaths. B-15 was traumatised, to say the least and you can see on Ravonna and Brad's faces a hint of disgust. But Miss Minutes grinning like that - outright disturbing.

I can't get over OB and Victor fanboying over each other's work - it was so funny yet wholesome.

Now let's talk about Loki and Sylvie. As a diehard Sylki stan you know I am, my fangirling heart was overjoyed seeing these two lovesick ducks working together willingly! I mean, yea, they did have that rather awkward talk in Pie Land (mind you that's it's official name henceforth) but after that they worked together as teammates! Now I must say, I completely agree with Sylvie on snapping on Mobius, because, well, yeah, the multiverse is a bigger priority than pie and I legit don't get why tf antis hate on Sylvie for doing so. Like you hated her for not giving a damn abt the TVA + the multiverse, but now when she stood up to do so y'all are hating on her again?? Like?? Make up ur mind, smh.

Anyways, back to Sylki. Sylvie got stuck in the elevator and the way she and Loki worriedly called out each other's names was so soft! And the "You ok?" trope CAME BACK OMG! THAT PHRASE IS LITERALLY THE BACKBONE OF SYLKI! When I tell you my fangirling heart screamed with joy omg-

The the whole paradox scene which brought Ep 1 back in a circle. I absolutely loved the way our Loki realised what he had to do and went real slow to prune his past self just so that Past Loki could get a glimpse of Sylvie; which would then lead him to be more determined than ever to go look for her. And I quite literally died on Sylvie being confused af as to wtf she just witnessed.

Then there's the telephone scene. OH MY GOD it was literally OB all this time when fans were out here speculating it was Kang or someone lmao. Both Loki and Sylvie yelling simultaneously to turn the security thing off gives out so much Couple Vibes, I absolutely loved it AAHHAHAH-

AND. THE. BRAD. SCENE. OOF.

our friendly neighbourhood lovesick ducks teaming up to enchant Brad was just too good. Loki in his hot, creepy voice luring Brad into a dark area while Sylvie very swiftly just straight up grabbing his face from the back - pure horror. Absolutely loved it, 10/10. Tho I must say, to do execute elaborate scheme, these two must have done some detailed planning (=more Sylki moments we were robbed off).

BUT THAT ENDING DUCKING MURDERED ME BROO OMG

Can we talk abt Victor's redemption? Man had been portrayed as evil since Quantumania, and has been manipulated by both Ravonna and Miss Jolly Rancher, but at the end of the day, he was a sweetheart. Man fanboys OB and basically became besties with him and Casey, worked together to create the solution to a mess he most certainly didn't want to be a part of, and then himself stepped up to fix the Loom once and for all to prove to everyone (and not let Sylvie's choice of sparing him go to waste) that tho he contained HWR's DNA, he wasn't HWR - he was a far better person HWR could have ever been. Seeing him getting spaghettified was tragically heart-wrenching, man deserved so much better :(

BUT HOLY SHIT DID THAT ONE HECK OF A GODDAMN CLIFFHANGER LEFT ME SPEECHLESS LIKE WTF WAS THAT?? U can't just kill off a character who had redeemed himself, and then make our main character and his homies watch literally EVERYTHING THEY WORKED SO HARD FOR GET ANNIHILATED TO THE GROUND-

But we know our God of Mischief isn't dead, and so are his homies eheheh.

However the looks on everyone's face was tragic. Loki knew all was lost and had tears in his eyes. Sylvie looked like she had accepted defeat and her death. Mobius and OB were in denial, refusing to believe that Victor was dead. Casey and B-15 looked horrified, as they realised what was to come now upon them.

Tldr, this episode was an ABSOLUTE BANGER. IM READY TO CLAIM IT SUPERIOR THAN ENDGAME, come and fight me. Its a top cinematic piece, and the suspense to Ep 5 is eating me up.

Ig i should go and study for the 4 tests this week before ep 5 ;-;

I don't like the spoiler i read abt episode 5 and 6 it sounds a lot like steve's ending in endgame

[i will be discussing the supposed spoilers for loki season 2 episodes 5 & 6 below the cut]

oh it totally does! it might even make less sense than steve’s ending, though idk if i’m willing to go that far. but yeah, abandoning the life you’ve lived for years and the people you know and care about and the cause you believe in to go back to the past to live a life that belonged to someone else? yup sounds like steve

even without the lokius of it all, a situation in which mobius goes to live on the timeline with a wife and kids makes zero sense. there is no life for mobius to return to. he can’t go back to the moment he was taken from bc the timeline would’ve been reset and a different mobius would’ve continued living. the only way for him to return to his life would be to replace that mobius by what? pruning him? literally killing him? he’d have to take away this mobius’ chance at life, the same thing that was done to him. no, he would never do that. it goes against everything we know about him and his and b-15’s stance after finding out they’re variants. he’s also definitely a different man than who he was on the timeline. even once he hypothetically gets his memories back, he will also have hundreds? thousands? millions? of years of memories at the tva. even just in the short time he’s known loki he’s changed a lot. he wouldn’t fit back in his life. it would make noooo sense.

based on reviews of 1-4, we will learn about his life on the timeline (tho i’m pretty sure people have said it’s dark, nothing close to a happy life with a wife and kids) and presumably we won’t have to wait until episode 5 for it. i think we will see mobius come to terms with what his life was, maybe mourn what he’s lost a bit, but ultimately continue doing what he’s doing.

also i just don’t see him leaving the fight against the tva/to reform the tva/to defeat kang. he’s not a passive character; loki gave him a spark to fight and i don’t think he’s gonna decide to leave it behind. i expect him to stick around a little bit.

luckily i’m not worried about these spoilers at all bc i think they’re total bullshit. the only people who know anything about episodes 5 & 6 are those that worked on the show, and i don’t imagine any of them are coming on here to anonymously leave spoilers in someone’s ask box. it’s just a troll, i’d bet anything on it. even if these things do happen, i don’t think it would prove the validity of this anon.

i didn’t talk about the sylki endgame part of the spoiler bc there wasn’t much to it and uh yeah that’s expected. i am actually going back and forth between whether i think they’ll go forward with sylki or just completely ignore it, but i won’t be surprised if/when it’s the former.

Loki: Heart of the TVA

LAKHDLGKHSLGHAKGH?!??!?!?

OKAY, let’s try to start from the top: I love Miss Minutes. I do. As a character tho!! She’s ruthless!! She’s HORRIBLE! She’s insane! Even Ravonna watching everyone get crunched was like ‘omg this is awful’ but miss minutes looked like she was at a birthday party. And her last words before blipping out were, ‘You’ll never be him’ LIKE???? Girl is RUTHLESS.

Victor!!! I felt so bad that he died!! Also, what a BRUTAL death! It was so well done from a cinematic point of view, cause it was just *instant*. So gruesome too.

Sylki tho!!! They talked!! Look, they didn’t talk about the kiss or their relationship, but I’ll take it! My mom is trying to make me prepared for them not to acknowledge the romantic aspect, and look, I’ll be devastated if they do, BUT, it’s better than one of them dying, cause at least then I can headcanon and believe they still get together more later on!

I loved seeing them work together tho, and they’re just *adorable* together. They were so excited about getting their magic back too!!

The ending was…intense, but look, they’re clearly not *dead*. Another week of agony tho. But let’s buckle up gang!

Once again, my only requests are: no one I like dies, sylki endgame, and relatively happy endings. That is all

if lokius happens in season 2 this is how i hope it’ll go

after countless days of research, with little to no breaks, mobius decides to bring loki a cup of warm tea. it’s late in the night, but it only took a few arguments for mobius to come to the conclusion there’s no telling loki to take a break.

loki doesn’t notice mobius until he silently steps back into the main living space, handing him a steaming mug. loki raises a brow, finally looking up from his stack of documents.

“it’s tea,” mobius says. “i don’t know how you take it.”

“black,” loki says, ignoring the small container of sugar.

“no wonder you’re so bitter,” mobius grumbles, sitting down beside loki.

loki freezes. his heart skips a beat. his stomach intersects. “what did you just say?” he all but gasps, his full attention now on a very confused mobius.

“huh?” mobius lets out a short laugh. “i made a joke. i just- i said it’s no wonder why you’re so bitter.”

loki smiles wide as he remembers his mobius. his friend. his only friend, in quite some time. his eyes turn sad- sadder than mobius has ever seen.

this is still loki’s mobius. it’s still him. his shorter height. his uniform. his smell. his gray hair. his optimism and encouraging attitude. the way he speaks so softly to loki, occasionally whispering in basic conversation, only inches away from loki’s ear.

it’s still him.

“why are you looking at me like that?” mobius suddenly asks, causing loki to snap out of his trance.

loki meets those all too familiar comforting eyes, and tries to dull down his odd smile. “nothing,” he mutters. “thanks for the tea.”

only when loki crashes on the couch does mobius feel releaved, although the giant, tall man doesn’t look very comfortable. his long legs hang over the side, while his neck cranes over the opposite arm rest.

mobius lets out a small sigh, careful not to wake loki as he retrieves a blanket from the chair. that blanket always coveres his feet, but not loki’s. still, loki snuggles closer under its warmth, and mobius returns to his bedroom with a satisfied smile.

exactly five hours later, loki swings the door open to mobius’s room, yelling. just yelling. mobius knows he has to be saying something, but his head can’t wrap around his words. not only because he got only a few hours of sleep, but because loki is talking so damn fast.

mobius sits up in his bed, his duvet still covering his legs. he’s sure his hair is disheveled and one eye is still closed due to the morning light.

he holds up a hand. “hold on,” he says, his voice low and sleepy. “slow down. take a breath.”

loki inhales sharply, and releases a much slower exhale. “i think i found her,” he says. “i think i found sylvie.”

both men make their way into the library after mobius takes a quick shower and changes into his uniform. loki is talking away, but much slower now.

they turn a corner only to come face to face with hunter c-20. she points to loki, her eyes narrowed on mobius. “who’s this?”

mobius feels his mouth open, but he can’t hear the words that are supposed to come out. he stands, completely frozen, until he jumps at the hand on his lower back.

“i’m his partner,” loki says, making a point to step closer into mobius’s side. you don’t recognize me? i work upstairs. with casey.”

hunter c-20 stares loki down. silently, she studies him, but he only offers her an indifferent smile. mobius doesn’t recognize that smile. it’s much too soft. too delicate.

he’s suddenly terrified of loki’s ability to lie so easily.

“right,” mobius says quickly, and a little too loudly. he’s staring at loki, unable to look away. “two years now,” he mumbles. “i’m almost offended you didn’t know.”

hunter c-20 finally caves. she nods, once. “carry on.”

“oh, we will!” loki says, and with his hand still on mobius’s lower back, they cross the library to sit at a table on the far corner of the room.

“wow,” mobius says. “you’re good at that.”

“good at what?” loki looks up at mobius, generally confused.

“lying.”

loki guestures a hand towards himself. “did you- i’m sorry- did you forget who i am?”

“right.” mobius mumbles. “the god of mischief.”

“precisely.”

the two men spend the rest of the day tracking different breaches in the timeline to find sylvie, but by nightfall- or what feels like nightfall- mobius decides its time to head home.

“i’m sorry loki,” he says. “really. i thought you were onto something there, too.”

they’re sitting in mobius’s small apartment; the fireplace is on, and they both have their own cups of tea.

loki is staring at the fire like it’s putting on a performance. “yes,” he says. “we’ll have to keep trying. first thing tomorrow.”

“loki,” mobius sighs. “don’t you think-“

loki jerks his head to look at mobius. “what?” he says loudly. “are you trying to tell me i should give up?”

“no.” mobius sets his empty mug onto the coffee table. “i’m saying you should take a break. relax a little. you’ve been going nonstop for days.”

“exactly,” loki says. “i need to find her as soon as possible.”

“have you ever considered that maybe she doesn’t want to be found?”

at this, loki relaxes in defeat. he knew this was the case. he never wanted to admit it to himself. but he knows sylvie sent him to a specific timeline, and if she wanted to be with him, she would be.

“just give it time,” mobius says softly. “if everything you said about her is true, she’ll come around.” a pause. then, “she’ll come back for you.”

loki blinks away tears, suddenly thankful for the darkness surrounding them. “how can you be so sure?”

“because,” mobius says, without missing a beat, “i know i would.”

loki silently gasps, and mobius keeps his eyes glued on the fire. the flame flickers in his eyes, off his sparkling silver hair. his crooked nose and soft lips.

when mobius turns to face loki, loki kisses him. it’s soft, fast and short. a special first kiss- the kind that you could swear wasn’t real if it wasn’t for the warmth in your chest, blooming and pouring into your limbs and up into your head.

mobius needs more. that wasn’t enough, he decides. he takes loki’s mug and puts it on the coffee table, all the while loki sits, almost submissively, while his lips are glued shut and his stomach ties itself into knots.

mobius scoots closer, now sitting on part of the blanket draped over loki’s lap. with a hand gingerly on loki’s cheek, he brushes his skin with his thumb, watching his eyes widen in fear and shock. need and want.

mobius leans forward this time, his nose brushing against loki’s while he carefully, gently captures loki’s lower lip between his own. his lips move slowly while loki’s are frozen; his hand moving to rest on loki’s hip instead of his cheek.

loki holds onto mobius’s opposite hand. tightly. firmly like he’s afraid to let go. and he kisses mobius back, nudging forward- rougher and faster than before.

the fire crackles in the distance, flickering light and heat onto their bodies as their hands roam and their lips move in sync until finally, desperately, loki pulls away.

he’s entirely out of breath. his face and neck is flushed. he’s gripping mobius’s shirt for dear life, and he’s trying to speak, trying to clear his head of everything mobius.

“i can’t,” he utters, his chest rising and falling. “we can’t.”

“it’s her,” mobius says. “isn’t it? it’s sylvie.”

“i’m sorry,” loki pants. “i just- i have to make sure she’s okay.”

#don't mind me i'm just venting bc of some bad takes i saw on twitter #it wasn't a fucking romantic kiss she kissed him as a distraction to betray him 😭#and the show literally addresses the weirdness of a romance between loki and sylvie through mobius #it's not like they're doing this without realizing how weird it is #to be clear i do think the kiss and the 'romance' arc are uncomfortable and completely unnecessary #but i don't think sylki as a romance is their endgame here #loki spoilers #just in case #not putting it in the main tag tho i don't want any drama

Like, long time follower-love your blog, got some great sylkie content and oh my goood it gives me life!!!- I’m just worried we’re just spiraling into hating on the other ship and finding reasons to feel morally superior to “the other guys”. Which is exactly what the antis are doing

Yes yes i do agree that the mental health point WAS inappropriate; but the digs at lokius feels inappropriate too. Like…its just a ship. And its just a shipper doing what shippers do (regardless of ship). They made a headcanon that’s not actually canon. Sure we don’t care for it much but i think the actual issue is that they said something that was hurtful to people with mental health issues and not that they hoped this makes sylkie invalid. I can see the whole thing just being some young kid who doesn’t know any better getting a little too caught up in shipper brain and not realizing what they’re saying. I don’t think it should be treated as something to then stamp over all lokius shippers, it doesn’t feel fair and it’s the kinda thing a lot of antis do to sylkie shippers just so they can find reasons to hate them more

And yeah sure i can definitely see a future where kids expecting their ship to be endgame causes a mass outbreak of temper tantrums, i have seen this all happen before. And i 100% think that there’s nothing anyone can do to stop it. But i DO think we can make an effort to ignore it and hopefully stop fueling the antis desire to hate on everything (remember don’t feed the troll rules, it won’t stop them but if everyone ignores them it cuts off fresh meat and they start having to cannibalize their own peers)

I know it’s really easy to fall into it. It feels great to put the other guys down and pretend like we’re “holier than thou” for reading the story “as the author intended” but idk man…it just feels weird to keep talking about lokius as tho the issue is the ship itself and not just a bunch of teenagers getting too stubborn with how they consume media (which if you guys remember your fandom history, has been happening since WE were teenager! Wouldn’t it have sucked to have a bunch of older fans seemingly moralizing against a gay ship we liked “unprompted”?)

Eh idk I’m rambling now i think. But i guess i just worry we’re maybe swinging bats at nests without checking what’s in them because we’re worried we found bees but it could just be humming birds buzzing. I think the issue here isn’t lokius but just how kids are consuming media by looking for evidence to fit their theories and not making theories to match the evidence, as the current generation of teens will always do (because they’re always changing out every few years so we start to see patterns in their behaviors). I don’t have a solution for it, but dunking on them isn’t helping.

(Ps this is directed at all of us and not just specifically you. ❤️)

You’re right I probably got a little bit carried away with myself. However regarding my rant yesterday, specifically the longer one, I wanted to keep it general because I wasn’t targeting it towards anyone specific, rather I just wanted to get my feelings about mentally ill people being in relationships off my chest without trying to make it about any ridiculous ship war because I feel like it was something I was more concerned about within real life than whatever fictional characters do on a tv show. That’s why I kept it out of any sort of tags.

But I understand what you’re saying regarding the l0kius shippers and I mean it seems like just one post here and there when I just want to say something in the moment but I admit it does begin to pile up after a while without realising and I appreciate that can become repetitive.

I honestly do try to keep it at a minimum though it’s just when it becomes something I’m particularly passionate about (and this goes beyond the TV show and the dramas within it) then I do sometimes get carried away with it.

And sometimes when you’re discussing a topic with anons, sometimes it can feel like it lasts days just because I might be answering anons all from one day over the course of a few days just because sometimes I can be slow with answering them all, but I do try to get anons regarding the same topic all answered together if I can.

But I’ll definitely try and be more aware of how often I’m discussing l0kius shippers in particular, and although I don’t really clarify it anywhere though I probably should, I honestly don’t mean to generalise them all and act like they’re all the same.
