So I was thinking about this the other day but there's this scene in the movie Strange Magic where Marianne is training with her sword while blind folded, making sure she can detect things from just sound so she doesn't have to rely on sight. And I was just wondering if Moon in the fairy au ever does that kinda thing.
(Sadly I can't find a clip of the scene to link you to)
I honestly imagine he would. Moon knows there are bound to be times where he won’t be able to see the potential threat, so he’d need to sharpen his sense of hearing.
I can see him practicing with his eyes closed, blindfolded or in the dark.
Study this video to understand what is going on here. It's beautifully done in slow-motion, with the full swing being shown, leading with the "true edge" and swapping to the "false edge" even as the arms start to cross the body, bringing it back around to the true edge again in the follow-through...
...We literally get to see this person failing, failing, almost succeeding, mostly succeeding, succeeding again...the whole progression of learning how to do this advanced swordsmanship technique. It's a wonderful sequence that's being shared with us.
I picked up one of my swords again after ages and swung it around a bit and only hit the chandelier twice... and gods it felt GREAT. now I just have to either move stuff around in my apartment or go outside after dark so I can practice again without destroying any furniture
