of course this big puppy is a hufflepuff! but, he’s the most gryffindor-like hufflepuff ever

even the sorting hat had trouble placing him in the correct house, but ultimately chose hufflepuff

he honestly didn’t even know if he should be trying out for the quidditch team, but dk brought him there and he barely even had to struggle at tryouts

his big frame and strong arms make him an excellent beater

he still has a fear of heights, he just forgets about it during quidditch (like what)

he loves when you praise him for his quidditch skills, especially after a particularly hard practice or grueling game

there’s no table he’s not welcome to sit at, and definitely no house that would turn him away

the most social butterfly in hogwarts, even more so than the weasley twins

what an absolute heartthrob

he’s not really a man of many words, so he was genuinely surprised when he became a prefect for his house

is actually a very understanding and caring prefect

he doesn’t really like taking points away from other houses or giving out detentions and only uses it as a last resort

you can usually find him reading novels/writing essays in the library (madam pince is very enamored with him) or playing wizard chess in the ravenclaw common room

he’s VERY good at wizard’s chess

if he could be a professional wizard’s chess player, he would.

ron weasley has nothing on jeon wonwoo

a lot of younger ravenclaws like asking him questions because he always explains things so thoroughly and patiently

tutors younger students in other houses for extra money -- fellow ravenclaws free of charge! -- and sends it to his family

wants to be a professor at hogwarts but still isn’t sure which subject he wants to teach. he figures he could be a librarian like madam pince if he were allowed to be

the type to gift you a new book on christmas every year and highlight/annotate things that reminded him of you

also legendary in the hogwarts choir

he arranges all the pieces for both the choir and band

wants to be a professional wizard producer and music writer

once got to meet the weird sisters and got a random muggle t-shirt signed by them that he carries like his most prized possession

other than that, he just like hanging out with you, his friends, and going to the quidditch matches whenever ravenclaw plays

he’s not really that interested in other house matches unless it’s an important one that affects ravenclaw

he tries to be interested in your house’s matches too (if you’re not a ravenclaw) but you can tell he would rather not

tends to befriend a lot of gryffindors (like seungcheol and hoshi) for some reason unknown to even himself

the type to write poems to you when he gets bored in class

jeonghan: prefect

oh, don’t even try to mess with him, because he will get you back and worse

definitely takes advantage of his prefect status way more than he should, but rules are meant to be bent

sneaks you into the prefect bathroom because “you shouldn’t have to take a bath with the rest of the normies” or so he says.

likes pranks and practical jokes, so he often turns a blind eye to the weasley twins when they stir up trouble

they have an unspoken partnership

weasley twins don’t prank him, jeonghan doesn’t snitch on them

it’s honestly a win-win for both of them.

he’s really good at charms

this is mostly because it teaches you shortcuts of how to do everyday things but just faster and lazier with magic

his favorite is using the duplication charm to make copies of polaroids he took with you so both of you can have a copy of it

he likes messing with the younger students and getting them to loosen up (like what are they always so serious for?) with him + reminding people when to have fun (but also when to buckle up!)

classic head boy vibes from a gentle sexy. jk he is so chaotic, but no one really expects it from him until after he gets all these privileges

you want a permit to paint a brick pink? just a single brick? okay done.

he lives for the things that are ambiguously not breaking the rules but definitely not abiding by them either

he’s actually one of the most popular people in slytherin house due to his insane skills as seeker

his catch rate is insane, like he can sniff out the snitch on the field

he’s already set to play for the national team in the U20 league and for the montrose magpies (the british-irish quidditch league team with the most wins)

his knack for flying was discovered during their first year flying class with madam hooch. after the class, she spoke with snape and set him up to shadow the quidditch team to be on the starting lineup starting his second year

he pretends like he doesn’t care if you come support his matches or not but is always visibly happy when you do

the times when you can’t because you’ve got a big essay due the next day or you’re sick is when he pretends he doesn’t mind (because you gotta focus on yourself too!)

his favorite subject is divination (because he really vibes with the tea leaf readings)

but, his best subject is astronomy. he’s the best student as has been the best student in astronomy out of your entire year (all 7 years!)

valentine grew up basically shadowing everything rosalie did. rosalie went for extra lessons for english, valentine would too even though she liked her french classes more; rosalie would put a little bit of lip gloss on and valentine would always pucker up her lips for some as well saying she wants to be just as pretty as her big sister! everything they did was for each other and with each other, you’d think they were twins.

sabrina only likes rosalie and pixie. anybody that tries to pet her she will hide and slap your hand away (claws not out, she’s not that mean). she’s a sweet girl though, to rosalie, and loves to cuddle and make biscuits. she’ll sleep all night surprisingly and be the most active kitty you’ve ever seen during the day time.

rosalie knows she’ll be heartbroken when sabrina gets older but right now sabrina is still just a little baby who loves to be carried around and played dress up with!

she doesn’t go crazy like sabrina will but she’s just dumb. . . to put it mildly. pixie will be walking and is only looking up at rosalie instead of straight ahead of her and bump into a wall, she’ll bark at the floor because she thought she saw another being that wasn’t suppose to be there but it was actually just her own shadow coming from the sun shining in the window.

rosalie has a little like baby walker that she puts pixie in for walks and sometimes sabrina as well. when rosie bought that a lot of people thought she was pregnant. . . nope just for her fur babies. pixie is rosalie’s best friend and often goes with her to practices and oversea events when the group is going to be there for a while (sabrina doesn’t do well on planes so she stays with wonwoo’s family).

Souvenirs des cours de SVT : les arbres transpirent de l'eau, qui s'accumule en nuages dont les pluies arrosent les champs. C'est particulièrement vrai pour l'Amazonie, «poumon» de la planète, nous a-t-on dit, et donc arrosoir géant des pays voisins. Mais «combien paient l'Uruguay, le Paraguay, l'Argentine et le Brésil pour cette contribution, essentielle à leur économie, aux Etats de l'Amazonie qui produisent les pluies ?». La réponse, Pavan Sukhdev la donne avec sa main, en formant un cercle entre son pouce et son index: «Que dalle. Zéro.»

LA «TAXINOMIE VERTE» DE L'UE

Cet ancien cadre de la Deutsche Bank, président du WWF et conseiller spécial des Nations unies sur l'environnement, le répète pourtant à l'envi: tant que l'on n'attribue pas une valeur aux services rendus par la nature, on ne sera pas capables de la protéger. Déterminez combien vous rapporte l'Amazonie en arrosant vos champs, vous comprendrez combien vous perdez en tronçonnant des arbres, et alors vous arrêterez de le faire. Cette valeur a été intégrée par un certain nombre d'économistes de l'environnement dans leurs modèles macroéconomiques sous le nom de «capital naturel».

L'idée a séduit une bonne partie des dirigeants mondiaux : selon une étude conduite en 2020 par les Nations unies, plus de quatre-vingt-neuf pays incluent le capital naturel dans leur politique environnementale. L'évaluation des «services rendus par les écosystèmes» sous-tend quant à elle la «taxonomie verte» que vient de dévoiler l'Union européenne, destinée à verdir les pratiques de la finance. L'économie serait-elle devenue le meilleur allié des écolos ? C'est un peu plus compliqué : depuis quelques années, on distingue, de manière caricaturale, deux camps parmi les économistes. D'un côté, les «économistes de l'environnement», des économistes pur jus qui voient l'écologie façon développement durable à travers le prisme de la finance verte et des marchés. De l'autre, les «économistes écologistes», qui réfutent cette vision instrumentale de la nature, accusent les premiers de rêver à une chimérique croissance verte, et voient dans la notion de capital naturel un «permis de détruire».

Si la vision des économistes de l'environnement s'est imposée au mitan des années 90, c'est que la période était ballottée entre un néolibéralisme qui clamait la toute puissance des marchés, et les premiers Sommets de la Terre, qui étaient - déjà - notre «dernière chance» pour sauver la planète. Les associations environnementalistes se sont alors résolues à «parler la langue de l'ennemi, expose Catherine Aubertin, économiste de l'environnement, et directrice de recherches à l'Institut de recherche pour le développement (IRD). C'était un outil de lutte : l'imaginaire dominant était économique, il a donc fallu agiter le capital naturel pour montrer que, puisque la valeur de ce capital diminuait, on était en train de détruire la nature». Le concept fait mouche. La convention sur la diversité biologique de 1992 entérine sa généralisation et promeut le développement «d'instruments de marché» pour protéger la biodiversité.

DES INTÉRÊTS DIVERGENTS

Concrètement, un industriel qui voudrait tronçonner des arbres pour construire un entrepôt à Brest pourrait alors investir dans une réserve de biodiversité près de Toulouse une somme d'argent équivalente au capital naturel qu'il a détruit. Ainsi, le capital manufacturier a été converti en capital naturel, mais déplacé de quelques centaines (ou milliers) de kilo- mètres.

Commence alors un long travail pour déterminer le prix à donner à ces services écosystémiques. En 1997, dans un article destiné à faire date, l'économiste Robert Costanza évalue que l'ensemble des services rendus à l'humanité par la nature se chiffrent entre 16 000 et 54000 milliards de dollars. Quelques années plus tard, Pavan Sukhdev pilote un rapport destiné à «rendre visible les valeurs de la nature» : The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity (TEEB). Il y suggère des pistes pour «concilier les aspects écologiques et économiques»: des taxes pour ceux qui endommagent la nature, des subventions pour ceux qui la préservent, et l'adoption du principe de pollueur-payeur. Dans le même temps, il fonde une entreprise de conseil en comptabilité environnementale destinée aux Etats, GIST Advisory: pour que cette vision soit effective, il s'agit en effet de la transposer en lois. Et c'est là que les choses se corsent.

Car les normes pour calculer le capital naturel s'élaborent dans des institutions internationales qui mêlent dirigeants, associations non gouvernementales, instituts de recherches et grandes entreprises qu'on ne se représente pas toujours en meilleures amies de la nature. Résultat: «Ces choix fondamentaux concernant l'avenir de la Terre sont essentiellement faits par des experts» issus du secteur privé plutôt que par des élus, déplore Hélène Tordjman, maîtresse de conférences en économie à l'université Sorbonne-Paris Nord, qui a récemment publié la Croissance verte contre la nature (La Découverte, 2021). Et la question est d'autant plus épineuse que le sujet réunit des acteurs aux intérêts divergents. Comment s'assurer qu'une entreprise compense effectivement à la hauteur des dommages qu'elle engendre pour l'environnement ? Pour comprendre qui peut tirer profit du capital naturel, «il faut se demander qui cherche à s'emparer de ces instances internationales, et avec quelle intention», poursuit l'économiste.

Pour remonter ce fil, on peut commencer par une émanation du TEEB, le rapport dirigé par Pavan Sukhdev : la plateforme TEEB For Business, devenue la Capitals Coalition. Présente dans 35 pays, elle collabore avec une kyrielle de grandes entreprises parmi lesquelles Coca-Cola, Nestlé ou Lafarge-Holcim pour les encourager à verdir leur activité. Autour de cette Capitals Coalition se réunissent des fondations de recherches privées, certaines des plus importantes associations de défense de l'environnement comme le WWF (dont Pavan Sukhdev est le président), mais aussi des institutions internationales de premier plan, comme la Commission européenne.

Et un certain nombre de ces entreprises adeptes d'un environnementalisme de marché se retrouvent dans le groupe réuni par la Commission européenne pour établir une taxonomie européenne pour la finance durable. Si ces experts ne sont chargés que d'estimer quelles activités peuvent «maintenir ou améliorer la capacité d'un écosystème à fournir des services (comme la production de bois)», peut-on lire dans le rapport qu'ils ont produit, leurs conclusions seront déterminantes pour des pans entiers de l'industrie. Voir son activité jugée «durable» selon les critères de la taxonomie signifie que l'on pourra recevoir des investissements de fonds «verts», incontournables dans les années à venir - l'enjeu est donc de taille. Peu de temps après l'étude, le prix du café a chuté de manière dramatique. Conséquence: l'exploitant a rasé ses caféiers, et a planté des ananas -qui n'ont pas besoin de la pollinisation des abeilles pour faire pousser leurs fruits. En quelques mois, la valeur des abeilles est donc passée de 60 000 dollars à «que dalle. Zéro».

Hufflepuff, but it took our dear old sorting hat a couple minutes…in the end Seungkwan asked for Hufflepuff because he thought some of the students on the slytherin table looked scary

Ironically enough, those students became some of his best friends later

He’s from a family of different houses so he didn’t really have any pressure to be sorted into the right house

Loves being a Hufflepuff because no one expects him when he jinxes the rugs in the third-floor classroom to fly around like owls

Has a secret talent, or more like a skill…… He can communicate with animals…he doesn’t tell anyone for like three years after he finds out

Loves Care of Magical Creatures, is in love with the Occamy hatchlings from one of Hagrid lessons and often visits his hut to check up on them

Drags Soonyoung or Seokmin with him into the forbidden forest on a weekly basis…..to see the Peruvian Vipertooth that Hagrid had raised….his name is Diggory

Seungkwan also excels at Charms, being a keen jinxer and a quick-witted wizard who can easily think his way out of sticky situations

Perfected 5th year level spells in his third year, without the Charms professor knowing

Seungkwan is a lot smarter than people give him credit for, once managed to distract an agitated Abraxan that had hurt its wing and had to land in the courtyard

All of the students outside started panicking as the huge horse galloped around the grounds in panic but not Seungkwan!

He jumped right into action and managed to conjure some reigns on the Abraxan, calming it with a somewhat weak but still impressive bewitched sleep

He has an owl named Bubo, she’s a Eurasian Eagle Owl and she’s Seungkwan’s biggest pride

hogwarts!svt (95line)

this is gna be a long ass post but this is my svt as hogwarts students headcanons with houses, favorite subjects, what pet they have, what theyre like, what wand they would have and what their patronus is owo hope you enjoy!!!

Seungcheol:

Gryffindor

Captain & Beater on the gryffindor quidditch team

Favorite subject is defence against dark arts

Likes a little action but is also really interested in the actual subject

Has a tawny owl named Buster and talks about it to anyone that will listen

Became a prefect in his fifth year and was promoted to head boy at the start of his 6th

Every teacher loves him even though he’s not a top student

Very charismatic and quickly becomes the resident schoolgirl crush

Has wayyyy too much responsibility but still manages to get average grades

Almost never seen studying, but often hangs in the library with Wonu, Joshua, Jeonghan and Minghao.

They have a table by the windows they sit at almost every day.

Knows all the portraits in the Grand Staircase by first name

Often chats with the elfs when he’s passing through the dungeons

Kind of the School’s heartthrob…..he’s so dreamy owo

Always nags the younger gryffindoors to clean up the common room because he wants to have the best looking commonroom out of all the houses

Takes pride in keeping his housemates in check n kinda basks in the authority of the prefect role

Everyone always talk about the fact that Seungcheol will be a famous quidditch player when he leaved Hogwarts, he just laughs it off and says he’d rather work at the leaky cauldron

He wants to be an auror but doesn’t think he’ll get more than four N.E.W.T’s Jeonghan and Joshua are trying very hard to get him to study for his finals though n often sit with him in the library late into the night

Weasels his way into Apparition classes with Joshua because it looks good on his resumé

His wand is Cherrywood with a dragon heartstring core, 8.5 inches and slender with a rounded point, the wand has a slight bend at the tip. Rigid flexibility.

His Patronus was a Scops Owl the first time he casted expect patronum, but he has since seen both a Runespoor and an Oryx so he’s never confirmed what his patronus is.

He is a pureblood but never brings it up, its not important to him at all

Jeonghan:

Slytherin

Half blood, metamorphmagus

Always changes his hair colors and grows out his hair from fairly short to long flowy locks over night, his favorite is shoulder length silver hair to match his black, green and silver robes.

Very pleasant and charming

Best friends with all the teachers, always avoids trouble despite being somewhat of a trickster and a cheater

Often uses his abilities to prank people or help people with something

Never breaks “rules of impotance” aka rules that would get him expelled if he broke them

Best friends, roommates and seatmates with Joshua Hong, they’re basically connected at the hip.

Doesn’t have any pets and often gets Seungcheol to lend him Buster if he needs to send a letter to him mom or something. Is also often seen with Joshua’s pet rat Grover on his shoulders.

Lowkey flirts with everyone, is the most popular Slytherin iuehfjdskj

Jeonghan’s favorite subject is Astronomy and Divination and you could often catch him reading up on the latest Astronomy books while watching the gryffindoor quidditch team practice

Looks out for Chan a lot, making sure he’s okay n taken care of since he’s so young n had to skip a year

Once threatened the Ravenclaw Quidditch captain with a few transfiguration hexes because Chan had ended up in the hospital wing with a broken wrist

Doesn’t really know what he wants to do after school but isn’t too worried about it

He’s a very powerful wizard, but flaunts it in the stupidest way possible like putting a cloud of raining glitter above his head for a day or making flowers bloom on the crown of his head for a day

Only takes one extra class during his two last years; Ancient Studies, because he’s actually quite interested in history

His wand is a 9.3 inch light dogwood with a unicorn hair core, flexible. A distinct twirl that reaches up about 2/3 of the length of the wand.

Jeonghan’s patrouns is a abraxan winged horse, as majestic as himself.

Joshua:

Slytherin

Pureblood, his mother was also a Slytherin and he’s proud to be one

A very humble and kind slytherin, will have anyone who hates slytherin rethinking their choices

Very very nice, he’s friends with literally everyone

Only his closest friends know he’s the mastermind behing his and Jeonghan’s pranks and tricks, because he has the rest of the school fooled thinking he’s a gentle, nice young man

Theyre like Fred and George 2.0

Often seen in the Great Hall playing wizards chess against Vernon, Wonwoo and Seokmin

He has a grey and white rex rat named Grover

His favorite subject is Herbology and he’s especially good friends with the Herbology Professor often being invited to tea at his office

Naturally good at potions as well, often helps Mingyu brew more complicated potions for both extra credit and secret missions (Polyjuice to get Jun and Vernon out of detention)

Spends a lot of his free time in the greenhouse, brings Minghao with him because Minghao likes quiet when he reads his Anicent Runes books and Joshua likes watering the plants and checking up on his favorite mandrakes in peace

Everyone seems to like him, even the most stuck up professors

Has a secret talent in dueling but never duels bc he’s lowkey scared of getting hurt

Joshua is also a very powerful wizard, definitely being one of the strongest ones in his friend group but he doesn’t really know that himself as he is very controlled and meticulous with his magic

One of the few students who starts Alchemy and Apparition classes in his 6th year

He’s the head boy of Slytherin, but never really hands out detention or punishments which may be the reason everyone likes him so much

His wand is a 11 inch Elm with a Phoenix feather core, with a Viking inspired pattern round the base of the handle. Sturdy and inflexible, there’s an inscription along the length of the wand that reads ‘vacate et scire’

Joshua’s patronus is a Lynx Cat
