Thinking about how zoroarks actually identify each other whilst disguised in the wild.. I think my two favorite ways are either; they have a really strong sense of smell and specialized scent glands or smthn so they can smell each other in the wild while not giving themselves away to predators. Or they the marking around their eyes/mouths are actually spots that emit infrared light or smthn in a spectrum that predators can't see like some sort of deep sea creature

#;;That OR zoroarks actually don't have any way to identify each other which is why they're so rare #so they can't find each other to have puppies unless they're not even disguised </3 #but mayb walking around in the wild with no disguise is actually seen as a show of strength or smthn bc of that .#b/c you don't have to be worried about predation #ogh... zoroarks have so much space for potential cool lore #the dragonfish explanation is cool but sugar inadvertently flexing on everyone by not being disguised is potentially my favorite...
