He was going to help you numb the pain of your breakup in a different way- the both of you getting insanely high. That was your ritual. Whenever one of you got dumped, the other would bring their stash, and you’d drown your sorrows in several bowls. After all, no one likes being high alone, and what else are best friends for? If anything, he’d be there to listen to you vent.

“I’m not going to say I told you so if you don’t,” he said as he walked through the door of your apartment. Before meeting up with you, he had just gotten stood up for the third time by another girl he was seeing. Taking his shoes and jacket off, he handed you his stash box. You blew a raspberry at him, bounding toward your room. You’d already had the lights low, and your speaker blasting music for the optimal vibe- which just so happened to be “all men-and the girl that stood Suga up- are trash.”

You sat on your bed as he came in behind you, grabbing your bong from its place on your shelf and sitting on the other side of the bed. Slowly and meticulously you had started to grind a portion of the quarter he had bought over.

“So what even happened,” he sighed as he began to pre-roll a few joints for you both.

“You sure you want to know?” You gave him a raised eyebrow.

You shifted yourself to a more comfortable position on your stomach as you changed the song on your phone to something more mellow, reaching down in front of you to grab your snack stash below you before finally fully settling in and taking a few more hits, letting the familiar feeling of fuzziness overtake your senses.

Once both of you were comfortably numb, you moved the box in between you two, scooting closer to Suga for warmth. He tossed the hem of his flannel over your feet, the soft fabric somehow feeling even softer as you fixated on the texture in your inebriated state.

“Was he really that bad?” He sighed, sitting up next to you and grabbing another handful of Cheeze-Itz. Your trance on the plaid pattern broke as you felt your stomach drop just a little thinking about your ex.

“I mean… I never…” you trailed off a bit, body pricking with an uncomfortable embarrassment that was definitely harshing your high.

“I never came once. Literally 3 months of my life, and I didn’t.”

“Yikes,” Suga breathed out. He didn’t know exactly what to say, the drugs in his system impairing his normal supportive demeanor. You could tell he felt bad for you, but at the same time, he wouldn’t remember any of this come tomorrow morning.

“Well you know, the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else…” his voice wavered, taking a drag of a joint he had left sitting in your ashtray.

“You’re so gross,” you huffed, giggling at him. “That’s not true anyway!” You flopped backwards on your bed, laughs softening as your head hit your pillow- your foggy head resting mere inches from his as he shifted to accommodate your new position.

“It would be if you were under me.” Smoke plumed from his mouth in a few rings as he stretched to lean back into your mattress.

There was a still silence for a second, but it felt like hours. He looked over at you with low eyes through the LED tinted haze. As red and glassed over as they were, they were still the most beautiful thing you’d ever seen. He was too gone to notice you were staring back. Without warning, he sat up, hooking a leg around you and taking hold of your wrists, looking down at you with lustfully hooded eyes.

“What if,” he started, a lazy smile enveloping his face.

“What if I made you cum? Would you be over him?”

“Greedy are we?” He laughed, slowly adding in a third finger, filling you completely. Your long drawn out moan was response enough to him as he started to move, slowly curling them against you. You began to move as well, begging for more friction only to have your bottom half pinned into place by Suga’s free hand. The swimming feeling in your head made you feel even more sensitive to his touch, as jagged breaths left your lungs.

“Please, just… please don’t stop,” you said, barely above a whisper.

He sparked up another joint, pulling your face to his as he blew the smoke into your mouth, sealing it with another kiss.

“You don’t have to be,” he smirked. “We’ve got all afternoon if you want to stay under me…”

Summary: Kirishima can’t seem to leave you on early mornings, or was it really just his imagination?

A/N: HAHAHA IM ALIVE AND I ACTUALLY POSTED SOMETHING! Sorry i’ve been so inactive, but at least i managed to put something out so all is not totally lost. i actually managed to spit this out in my kirishima brainrot and then i made it have a bittersweet ending 🚶‍♀️. so, sorry :/ hope you enjoy though! (also i learned how to animate my banners so now they look prettier i think :)

Standing in the kitchen, Kirishima began making coffee while remaining warm in his pajamas. He’s still half asleep, desperate to remain awake while the early morning sun filtered through the half-opened window blinds. It wasn’t until a pair of warm arms snake their way around his waist from behind that he truly became entranced in the moment. Slowly turning around, Kirishima found you tiredly looking up at him, still holding him in your arms as his own made their way around your form. He took in your sleepy self, eyes half-lidded from just waking up while trying to stay awake, your body clothed in a set of pajamas matching his own, and your hair messy as can be. The longer Kiri looked, the more he began to fall deeper in love with you in every way. If it was up to him, he could have stayed staring at you for the rest of the morning, until you spoke up.

“Kiri,” you began, looking up at him with loving eyes, “are you making coffee already?”

He shot you a small smile before answering, “Of course my love, you know it.”

You hummed in acknowledgement, quickly racking your tired brain for something you could do to help out your wonderful boyfriend. “How about I start making the toast? That way we can finish breakfast and get out of the apartment faster?”

Both of you let out light chuckles, hyper aware of how often both of you are late because you’re both glued to the other’s arms.

Breakfast was ready before the both of you noticed, almost saddened by the shortness of it all. Soon, you would both be running around the rooms, desperate to finish getting ready as the clock slowly ticked down the seconds left.

“Ya know, if we actually woke up early and not stayed up late, we could actually not worry about being late,” you yelled over the steady stream of water coming from the shower.

As the sounds of water hitting the tile floor fell silent, Kirishima’s laughter could be heard echoing through the bathroom. “Well if we did that, we wouldn’t have the time to be together for so long.”

Suddenly, ticking clocks rang all around the apartment, startling Kirishima as he almost forced himself to get ready faster. Hair still wet, be passed you by, running around while making sure he had everything he needed before he headed off to the agency.

The moment before he opened the door however, you called out in an attempt to stop him. “Wait wait before you go!”

Kirishima turned to face you. The ticking growing louder all around him, yet you remained unfazed as you hurriedly made your way towards him. As soon as he was within reach, you planted a subtle, sweet kiss onto his soft lips, shocking him for the second time that morning.

“There. Now go kick some villains sweetheart.”

He stood there, dazed and lovestruck. Oh how much he wanted to stay here with you before you had to leave as well. How he wanted to sleep in one day with you in his arms, but the ticking grew louder until suddenly light flooded his eyes.

Kirishima was startled awake by the blaring sound of his alarm, stirring him awake from his deep sleep. The default alarm Bakugo had set for him had been trying to wake him up for the past ten minutes as he slowly realized his fantasy of being with you was a dream. As he laid in his bed, he contemplated the product of his own imagination. Could it ever be real? Could he ever bring himself to confess to you? If he was honest with himself, Kirishima may not have all the answers or even the courage at the moment, but he knew one day he would have to confess or these feelings would eat him up. But one day wouldn’t be today. That seemed to be the only answer he truly did know as he began getting ready without you.

i cant write but i DO have brainrot so i just want to lay out this asanoya fic idea here that i’ve, like, extensively daydreamed about

ok so... movie/acting concept... i guess it’s like fake dating adjacent. this isnt an au or anything its just them being thrown into one of ennoshita’s short films. the idea is that he’s trying to buff out his portfolio and is begrudgingly writing a romance drama, but its like, artsy indie “i think romance is corny” kind of romance. its about a single dad who moves out to a rural town from the city, and his relationship with his neighbor who’s like, technically a freelance writer but actually mostly gets his income from doing millions of odd jobs and stuff. anyway ennoshita wanted daichi & suga for the part bc, like, duh. but theyre both crazy busy already bc uni entrance exams and prep on top of volleyball??? so he has to find other people, and lands on asahi for the dad bc... he’s just the only other person he can find that looks the part. unfortunately noya is the only person who can get asahi to go on camera, so he ends up playing the other lead, which everyone (including noya) is dubious about because this is such a slow paced, nothing happens kind of story, and theres no goddamn way he’s going to be able to stay grounded long enough for that. so they shoot a few scenes and its, like, okay? not great, not really right, but okay, because whenever they all help ennoshita out everyone really does their best, bc they know its important to him and getting to spend time making something together is pretty fun anyway.

but then they get to one scene where they’re talking about family & future & expectations, all quiet and comfy in nishinoya’s dimly lit living room with the tv turned down low, and halfway through noya just goes completely off script. what he’s saying is wildy different than what his character is supposed to be going through, and it’s blatantly obvious he just forgot they were recording and started talking about himself, and since noya is so goddamn earnest asahi just. goes along with him. but its the most genuine emotion theyve gotten out of either of them so far and it fucking works, maybe works better than what was in the script, so before tanaka can like, smack noya with the boom mic to get him back on track, ennoshita tells the crew to keep rolling and just kind of. lets noya & asahi talk. and when they play the footage back it captures exactly the feeling ennoshita wanted. so he just.. scraps the script. the main plot points are still kinda there, the settings he wanted and all that, but he really just tells them themes and lets them go... be themselves? and that’s what they do.

and the thing is—it was supposed to go, oh, they get together in the beginning, they have a nice relationship, but they fight and grow apart, they break up, and there’s supposed to be this bittersweet ending of, oh, it could’ve worked in different circumstances, but they were expecting this fairytale romance and couldn’t put in the work to really understand each other when the similarities ended, you know? that was the way it was supposed to go. but they get to the fight scene, and oh—this is where their strategy so far falls apart, because asahi & noya know what it’s like to fight. and fight they do; they stay close to the script on this one, because no one really wants to instigate a real fight between them, but everyone on set can still feel how close to home it’s hitting. and when they shoot the scenes right after, where the characters are supposed to be realizing, oh, this can’t work, we’re too different, we can’t bridge this gap—they give an incredible performance, but oh, no. oh, no, no, these are two people who desperately want to understand each other, who still trust each other deep to their core. when asahi cries over his kitchen sink, it isn’t, “I can’t go on like this with this man,” it’s, “I don’t want go on like this without him.” when noya slams his door shut, walks out towards a conversation confident and resolute, it isn’t, “time to face the music,” it’s “time to make things right.”

so when they come to set the next day, ready to put the nail in the coffin, ennoshita steps forward and tells them, okay. we’re changing this. I want you two to make up—I want you to just, to talk about that fight. talk about what’s going on in your heads, and figure it out, okay?

so they do.

and here’s the thing—ennoshita hates romance. he wrote a whole short film basically condemning the whole concept, saying, hey, here’s a couple that really should’ve been happy, but they couldn’t make it work. and he refused to even write in a kiss, because he hates that cinema seems to think that kissing in a movie means they’re in love. it doesn’t, not if they don’t have any chemistry, or effort, or time. so they don’t kiss on screen, in this script. not even in this drastic rewrite to the ending.

but they do hold each other. they hold each other tight, and noya nuzzles his face as far into asahi’s collarbone as he can, and asahi presses his mouth soft into noya’s hair and holds his head, and they whisper to each other, just barely audible, “I missed you,” and god, god, god. what kiss could ever compare to the simple warmth of an embrace.

the film goes through editing. asahi and noya... don’t really talk about it. they keep going on as they had, before, because neither one has brought it up, yet. too happy to let themselves fall back into something normal, because everything going on at the end there was so much, and they really did miss just being together, without cameras on them, without scrutiny.

the whole team gets together to watch it when it’s done, as they always do with projects like these. and noya curls himself into asahi’s side on the couch, the couch where they filmed the one scene that changed the course of the whole film, and they watch. and after its all said and done, after they congratulate ennoshita on a job well done, after they endure a lifetime’s worth of teasing, they walk home together. take a pause at a park. and they decide together, “I want to do this all over again, with you. Just us this time.”

so they do.

GASAAHHHH THAT OIKAWA RANT WAS SO LONG IM SO SORRY BUT HERES SUGA (more like just comparing suga and oikawa but that’s ok ALSO none of this makes sense i hate it here bye) ;—;

honestly, ima be real here - suga was one of those people i instantly fell in love with. it was like the polar opposite of how i felt about oikawa (i’ll get to that in a moment.) i saw him and my heart went !!! and i loved him! there’s no other way for it. i classified him as the sweet boy of karasuno, and in some ways that is correct. but OP’s analysis of him has me thinking (as everything does LOL) and now, looking back to every scene that includes him, i slap myself for not realizing sooner just how AMAZING sugawara koushi is.

once again, like OP said, sugawara is so so quick to dismiss his own needs and jealousy. when it comes down to himself and the team, his ability to completely erase himself from the situation is.... frightening. he is able to put the needs of everyone else before his, which is, in some cases, good, but also uhhh- definitely not lol. which honestly brings me back to oikawa (UGH ik ik i cant shut up about bitchboy).

oikawa and suga are introduced in haikyuu as two completely different people. which- they are! but the difference in them is prominent to a viewer who has never seen either before. while suga is introduced as this warm, optimistic person who’s ready to help his team, oikawa is introduced as...well, the villain. he’s the big boss everyone needs to beat. with almost everyone i’ve talked to, they’ve admitted to loving suga and hating oikawa at first. but they’re similar!

both suga and oikawa have dealt with the force that is known as kageyama. kageyama has always been that presence in their mind that irritates them; suga is more lowkey about it, while oikawa is obviously very vocal and external in his responses. but both feel overshadowed by their junior, which i find hella interesting - because they both seem to dislike each other when competing in the spot for nationals. kageyama is the thing they share in common- but! the way they approach it is the key in how their characters differ.

sugawara takes kageyama’s appearance as a challenge, but ultimately gives up. he comes to the realization that, for the better of the team, he should sacrifice his sets and his hunger to win. oikawa somehow becomes more self-centered when kageyama comes into the picture. he is more power-hungry and anxious to win and prove himself, rather than back down.

IDK MAN. suga just makes me realize just how lucky some of us are to be where we are right now. sugawara koushi is probably one of the most selfless people i know, yet he’s also so,,,, how do i put this,,,,, ambitious? he is also always searching for more, but in a TEAM. he is so so so supportive, always reaching, always being the one ppl can fall back on and he guides them to where they need to be. he seems firm in his resolve that he can be that natural leader that yes, does have mom qualities, but also can be a bit harsh and a bit impulsive in his actions. he sacrifices and some people don’t even realize it. and yet he ALSO keeps going, no matter what, just like oikawa (yet probably not as fiery lol)

so. if i’m being honest. they would be best friends lol THIS WAS ALL JUST SO MUCH BRAINROT IM SO SORRY I HAVE SUCH STRONG FEELINFS ABOUT THESE TWO BUT NONW OF IT MAKES SENSE I JUST WANNA GIVE THEM BOTH BIG HUGS AND TELL THEM THEYRE DOING AMAZINF —🧸

again, i love how you phrased all of this because yeah! Suga and Oikawa both have to deal with someone more talented than themselves, they just both go about it in a different way and AHHHHH i fuckin glove it because there isn’t one “right” or “better” way. it depends on who it is and all of that.

AND ALL OF THIS IS ALSO WHY I LOVE SUGAWARA KOUSHI SO MUCH. PLEASE.
