even though i took this 3 days into the semester, i was already feeling the pressure of being in a different school environment. i managed to kind of hate my school the first week, though i’m still giving it a chance. of course, i love studying and learning, but i’m still unsure on the environment and school - if they’re the right fit or not for me. i’m sticking with it though. 💛

i moved to college today! cleaned my whole apartment, organized it completely, and filled my pantry. love how cozy i made my room feel. am excited for orientation later this week!! super productive day. i cried when my mom left though. oof.

is it kind of cliche to start this on the first day of the new year? probably.

today i did a lot, yet it felt like a little.

sent out some semi-important emails

spent time with my partner before going off to school

put together a dbt binder for myself and actively thought of skills

went through my planner for the new semester

read a whole book!!! (the humming room by ellen potter) even though i really didn’t feel like reading. as soon as i did, i was completely engrossed and couldn’t stop. it’s nice when that happens.

read some of a book i haven’t read in ages (ophelia by lisa klein)

inspired myself to read more

today i went out of my comfort zone and talked more in class, explored campus, and made an acquaintance. after i got home, i packed for the weekend home and got a long night of sleep to make up for the fact that i was running on 4 ish hours of sleep.

saturday was nice for me, saw people i wasn’t going to see for a while, got to facetime my love and all around enjoyed my time. i’ve been recording footage for my youtube - music stuff and study stuff. so excited to edit it. have been working on adding animation to video so idk when i’ll be good enough to finally post it all. anyways. here’s a good sunset for a good day and a mug that my friend gave me for christmas.
