Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon)part33
(I suggest you check out parts 1-32 if you haven't already)
The while later, "Holy shit I'm tired" Vinny said as he stretched out, Cole was going to say something but yawned instead, "Fair enough, I'm gonna sleep to" Kai said out, Vinny looked at Kai and smirked, "Let me guess, Cole's gonna come and sleep with you~?" Vinny teased making the two ninja turn bright red, "W-what!? N-no!" Kai said out embarrassingly as Cole covered his face. Garmadon didn't know what to say so kept quiet he didn't enjoy talking around others.
"Well then see you tomorrow" Vinny said as he stood up and left with Garmadon. The oni looked at Vinny once they were outside the room, he was hiding something, he was walking ahead of Garmadon and being avoidant. "You okay?" The oni asked again, receiving the same response as before which was a nod. "Why are you lying to me...?" Garmadon asked, his voice sounded a little hurt and upset, he respected Vinnys' privacy but he could see something was affecting him.
Vinny looked at Garmadon with a guilty expression, "I'm not..." Vinny responded as he began walking knowing the oni would follow, Garmadon did in fact follow and caught up easily, "Yes you are...you've been acting different since I woke up...did something happen?" The oni asked as he walked next to Vinny.
"Please...Garmadon please...just forget about it..." Vinny responded, his voice was small and irritation and guilt could be heard in his tone of voice. The oni was going to say something but didn't he would ask if this became worse.
The two made it to their bedroom and Garmadon sat on the bed, "I'm...gonna go wash my face...feel free to sleep..."Vinny said as he went to the bathroom. The oni knew something happened but didn't want to get involved if Vinny didn't want him in it. So he lied down on the bed waiting for the cameraman to come out but slowly drifted into a sleep.
Vinny dropped to his knees in the bathroom and sobbed to himself quietly covering his mouth. "I'm such an idiot..." He whimpered out quietly before bringing his knees to his chest. "Yes you are~" A voice called out as the bathroom changed its colour to red and black again. Suddenly the reflection thing happened again and the reflection came out of the mirror.
Vinny backed away into a corner trying to stay far away, this made the reflection smirk, "Honestly...now you're telling people about me~ Kinda sad really, Oh and yea even the other ninja think you're able to kill~!" The reflection said as it moved closer to Vinny. The reflection let out a sigh, "Y'know we had a shitty meeting lets start with introduction~! How about I start!" it added.
"I'm you`" The reflection said as it got right in Vinnys' face, "N-no...you're not..."Vinny replied, making the shadow sigh and stand up straight, "You're right I'm not.....restart~! My name is Enji!" The reflection said as it was engulfed in a mist and once it disappeared a man he had black hair with streaks of white hair and from the looks of it he had black eyes, but when he looked down and up again his eyes flashed blue.

Pretty
Kamisato Ayato x Arataki Itto small fanfiction
-
"Look at the sky grandma, it looks... it looks..."
"Pretty Itto, pretty is a word you can be use to describe what you find pleasing to look at"
-
"Aniki!! I learned a new word, wanna hear it?" "Oh Itto is you, come up here, I found a big bug" said from the top of a tall tree the young Kamisato heir.
"You are always in weird places aniki but first -ooooooh it's so big aniki!! is almost the size of your head hahaha" "You mean YOUR head dumb oni" The young Kamisato heir compared the size of the bettle to both of their heads and try to attack Itto, making the young oni laugh constantly.
A crystalflie passed near Ayato's head, the young oni got awestruck with how the purple glow illuminated the blue eyes of the young Kamisato "Pretty" escaped his mouth "uh?" "Oh! that's the new word grandma taught me, she said that you can use it to describe things you like to look at" Itto loved learned new things and sharing them with his aniki, who looked at him with a smirk "Indeed Itto, so tell me, what do you consider pretty?" "uuuh the sky! the flowers in grandma's garden, you are also pretty aniki" said the red oni, unsure if what he just said was right to his aniki, who just replied "interesting, but I'm a boy, can't be called pretty dumb oni" "aaah says who!? you are pretty aniki or at least for me you are" Itto was a persistent person, so Ayato just agreed with him.
-
"Aniki, your maid told me you were looking for me but how dare you not tell her where should I find you? took me so long to figure you will be up here" Itto wasn't tired but oh how he disliked having to figure out where Ayato, of all his spots, could be at "Hehe but you always manage to find me dumb Oni, now come, it's about to start" confused the oni sat next to the Kamisato heir who had his eyes set on the sky and had placed a lollipop where he expected the oni to sit.
Soon a big explosion was heard and with it bright colorful lights "Yoimiya told me she was going to try a new set of fireworks, I thought you would like to see them, make the sky look pretty right?" Itto was fascinated, he had never seen fireworks as close as tonight "yes" "like me?" "yes, uh? hey!" Ayato couldn't stop laughing, ever since Itto called him pretty, the kamisato heir started to ask if he was pretty at the most random times, "Oh dumb oni, you always fall for it, I love it" Itto could only pout, his aniki enjoyed being mean.
A bring purple illuminated the sky, grasping the attention of both young males, "I always wantes to ask you know, why do you think I'm pretty Itto?" Ayato kept looking at the sky, eyes shining bring with the full moon, a sight Itto could get lost in "when I was young I was really into your eyes, the blue of them is really pretty, specially under the sunset or moon light, you have also pretty hair that matches your pale skin" Itto has always been straight forward, but he didn't knew why the words that came out of his mouth felt heavy and Ayato noticed, he didn't expect Itto to actually reply "your smile, even thought it's mostly mischievous, makes you look really pretty, your-" Itto felt the intense stare of Ayato over him and maybe shouldn't have looked at him cause in that moment another firework illuminated the sky, dreaming, was another word Itto learned that could describe how Ayato looked, specifically at this moment, where the colorful lights and sparkles reflected in Ayato's face and light blue eyes.
Their eyes connected and a heavy feeling settled on the oni's stomach, his grandma once told him that when he had fallen for someone, he would get and unmistakable feeling and oh how sure eas that it had to be this one, "I-" "yes" Itto didn't want to deny it, he was already dumb and doing it would make him dumber, "Ayato I-" "AYATO SAN! AYATO SAN!!!" a guard screamed in the distance, breaking the connection "Something must have happened, let's meet later, dumb oni" Ayato smirked "then you can finish that phrase" the young Kamisato heir left in a blink, Itto knew that for Ayato, his clan always came first and it was indeed strange that a guard came looking for him since everyone knew not to look for him when out by himself or so had said his aniki once.
-
That's not a pretty look, thought Itto, it has been weeks since Itto saw the Kamisato clan leader, all he knew what happened was that Ayato's parents had died and figured that must have kept Ayato busy, but he surely wasn't expecting this scene.
Holding his knees, under the three Itto and Ayato usually had their onikabuto fights, the Kamisato leader must have been deep in his thoughts since he didn't move a bit when the big oni sat beside him "I'm sorry" Ayato looked fast to his side, a relaxed smile finally settled on his face "Ah, Itto, didn't hear you, how have you been dumb oni?" "Worried, wishing I could help you but how are you ? You don't look good" "Ha, am I no longer pretty for the dumb oni?" "Kamisato Ayato" for Itto to use Ayato's full name was a sign that he was serious "Sorry... it has been hard but this is my first break in a while so can you just provide me some company for now?" as much as it hurt Itto to not be able to help his aniki, he knew that when Ayato wasn't feeling like doing something, making him would take a while.
The night was pitch black but one of the perks of Inazuma was some of the glowing plants that decorated the country, the light could be small but oh how enough it was for Itto to appreciate his Ayato's features, that now were trapped under a deep sadness and anxiety, "I heard the rumors" "Ah, and what do you think? Think I can be a good leader?" with no need to think, Itto replied immediately "Yes, if anyone under hard circumstances could lead a clan is you, you are strong, you care for your people, don't let anyone try to tell you that you can't be a good clan leader"
And there it was, the smile oh Itto how much loved, relief and peace finally entering Kamisato Ayato's face.
-
Kamisato Ayato looks pretty hot when dealing with officials, if Itto didn't knew him he would be jealous but oh anchors help him.
Itto doesn't understand what exactly Ayato did but the future of the Kamisato clan couldn't look brighter so decided to give him a surprise this time.
Itto had barely sat down at the top of a rock when heard someone behind him "Hey! how did you find me so fast!? I didn't told your housekeeper where I would be" "No but you are dumb and loud so finding you wasn't so hard "oh how hard it was to beat Ayato, not only in onikabuto fights but now also surprises "Ah you are no fun" Itto sat down crosing his legs and arms, a bad attempt of a tantrum would say Ayato "Haha you really are a big kid, now, now, I will let you continue your "surprise"" Ayato sat down, resting his head on Itto's shoulder, oh how he enjoyed to drive Itto crazy.
Fireworks started to decorate the sky "The truth is I saw you talk with Yoimiya so I asked her where you where" "Aaah that girl couldn't keep a secret!? I will make her pay, yes! next time she will buy the ramen and" "Itto" the big oni looked at Ayato, the lights making his hair shine "You know, that time I actually asked her to do the fireworks, I wanted to confess" "Eh!? what do you mean? no, no way you knew you liked me bedore me, that's-" soft lips interrupted him, fireworks sounding in the background, Ayato slowly sitting on top of him, his hands holding the smaller man's waist while this one holded his face, Itto thought that nothing could feel more better "I'm starting to think that kisses might be the only thing that can shut you up haha" Ayato said after the kiss, Itto got read like his horns, not his fault one of his almost non existent weaknesses was Ayato.
"You know, last time you didn't told me what you were going to say that night" Itto was lost in Ayato's eyes above him "something tells me you already know what it was" "Haha you are right, I also know you only realized it that night but I'm sure you have been liking me for a while dumb oni" Itto did thought about that after that night so in a way he agrees with Ayato's words, just that he doesn't "And what about you? since when the Kamisato clan likes me?" "Since you called me pretty"

Molten Gold - Chapter 4
Tumblr media
Synopsis: Druig & Nara - best friends, pen pals, and idiots too stubborn to admit each other’s feelings. She assumes he doesn’t care, he assumes she’s found someone else. For over 500 years, he’s kept her letters, while she resists the urge to send more. Hopefully, the end of the world might knock some sense into them both.
Chapter: 4/? (Chapter 1; Chapter 2; Chapter 3)
Pairing: Druig x OC!Fem!Eternal (named Nara)
Warnings: ANGSTY, y’all, ANGST. Depictions of violence, blood, injuries.
Word count: ~1816
Feedback totally welcome!
Dew soaked through their boots as Druig and Nara treaded through the rice paddies surrounding Kyoto. In the distance, they could spy a large group of patrols. The men called out to each other, torches raised high to chase away the dark.
The creature had supposedly been plaguing the local farmers for months, feeding on human flesh. Many believed it was an oni––a sly, scaly-skinned ogre, with a red face and a mouth full of fangs. The Eternals knew better.
“Over there!” Alerted one of the patrols, drawing the group towards an irrigation canal. Ducking down, Druig and Nara tagged along.
Soon enough, they encountered what they’d travelled halfway across the world for: A Deviant, crouching knee-deep in the muddy canal water. It was holding something in its claws––an arm, half-eaten, with the bone exposed.
Crack. A twig snapped under Druig’s boot. Their target’s head shot up. With a guttural growl, it charged head on at the pair.
Nara’s fire-tipped spear sliced through its skin, drawing blood, before its claws could reach Druig’s face. It let out an ear-piercing howl. Nara danced out of its path with swift turns and backflips.
Swoosh! An arrow landed in the oni’s shoulder, drawing its attention away from the two Eternals. Nara took it as cue to deal a serious blow, sending the creature hurtling across the field with a fiery punch.
“You there!” Shouted a patrol––the bravest of the group, the only one to have ventured near the fight. “Don’t move!”
“It’s getting away,” said Nara in an undertone, in case the men overheard. The creature had turned tail and ran southward.
“Let’s deal with this first,” Druig suggested. “We don’t want any trouble with the humans.”
The patrols drew near. In their midst was a man on horseback. A deputy of the shōgun, Hosokawa Katsumoto. “Who are you? Or what are you?” He demanded of Druig and Nara.
“You!” He aimed an index finger at Nara, “You appear to be an ordinary woman, but that fire! Are you, perchance, a goddess?”
His gaze focused on Druig next. “And you! How strange you look. The color of your eyes, how peculiar! Are you also a god?”
“We are here to help you hunt down this oni. We mean no harm,” Druig calmly replied, ignoring the deputy’s judgment. “But we are indeed strangers to Kyoto. So I propose we make a deal. You help us navigate your domain, so that we may kill the oni. In exchange, I humbly ask that you keep our involvement a secret.”
Hosokawa considered Druig’s words. Around him, his men murmured amongst themselves––awestruck at the ‘gods’ apparitions.’ “Agreed,” the deputy declared, tugging on his horse’s reins.
The patrols dispersed, combing through the neighboring fields and river banks. Druig and Nara kept a close eye on their movements, until one man spoke up.
“The oni has appeared downstream, my lord!”
“Be careful, it’s probably in a foul mood given our earlier scuffle,” said Druig, as they went after its tracks.
Nara closed in, delivering an axe kick. Her heel coming down on the back of the Deviant’s neck with brutal force. Its knees buckled, and it fell face first into the river’s rushing water. Its death promptly followed when she plunged her spear straight through its spine.
“I think we’re done here,” she assessed, straightening up. The deputy and his men had caught up with them, standing by with their mouths agape. “Lord Hosokawa!” Shrieked a patrol, who’d spotted the appearance of yet another oni. One that was identical to the one Nara had just put down.
“Get back!” Druig pushed the deputy out of harm’s way. The oni’s jaws clamped down on his shoulder, and he held back the urge to scream. He acted fast, taking over the deputy’s mind. Drawing the deputy’s sword from its sheath and chopping the oni’s arm clean off.
Its jaws went slack, and Druig nearly collapsed from the pain.
“Dru!” Yelled Nara, alarmed, rushing to his side. “I’m alright…” he panted, one hand pressing on the wound to curb the bleeding. “Where’d it go?”
Anger flared up in Nara’s chest, fire licking up her arms. “I’ll burn that stupid thing to ash,” she said through gritted teeth, breaking into hot pursuit.
The creature was fast, but it was missing an arm, leaving behind a glaring trail of blood. She spotted it from afar a mere three minutes later. Running to gather momentum, holding her spear above her head and parallel to the ground. Pulling her shoulder back, eyes not once leaving her prey. With lethal intent, she hurled the spear in the oni’s direction––tracing a glowing arc against the night sky.
She hit her mark. But that wasn’t enough. Nara pulled her hand back, forming a fist. The spear burst into flames, virtually incinerating the unfortunate Deviant.
With the minor exception of Ikarus, the reassembled Eternals are out of practice. But four Deviants have come crashing through the compound.
Before Sersi’s very eyes, a winged beast swoops in and snatches Ikarus away in its talons.
“They’re coming!” She sprints back to warn the others, frantically waving her arms. Unknowingly running headlong into another Deviant. Thankfully, Sprite grabs her by the waist and pulls her back just in time.
“Get behind me!” Kingo commands, firing bolts of celestial energy to keep the Deviant at bay.
“Excellent, sir,” Karun cheers, dutifully filming the ‘action sequences.’
“What are you doing!?” Kingo shouts at him, “Get out of here! You’re going to get killed!”
There’s no time for more bickering, though. Two Deviants are converging on their location.
“Sprite, get Karun out of here!”
“How many cameras have you brought, young man?” The illusionist struggles to push Karun out of the way, while Sersi gathers up the villagers, telling them to evacuate. She guides some into the closest barn she can find, closing the door, and turning the whole structure into stone. Once again, failing to notice one of the Deviants charging her way.
This time, the creature knocks her straight into an adjacent building. Shielding her face with her forearms, she falls through the crumbling debris. Barely has time to stand back up when it reels back to finish the job.
Bang! A round of shots go off, peppering the Deviant’s ribs. Druig has made some of his people take up arms and join the fight. He himself is reloading his shotgun, effortlessly leaping over the creature and nailing it straight in the back. Baiting it towards him, substituting himself for Nara at the very last minute.
The redhead takes a swing at the creature’s jugular, palms on fire. The Deviant isn’t going down just yet. It has a secret weapon––a razor-sharp tail, with serrations at its end. Making it difficult for Nara to come close enough to make any real damage.
The villagers, at Druig’s command, take aim at the Deviant’s moving form, as it bulldozes through their ranks.
“Druig!” Sersi pulls the telepath around. “Stop controlling them,” she implores. He is reluctant to let go. Not when he can see the beast switch its attention to Nara.
“You’re better than this,” Sersi repeats, shaking his shoulders.
“Fine,” he mutters, harshly pushing her hands off. To the villagers, he orders, “Go! To the river!”
Though initially confused, it does not take much for the humans to realize the peril they’re in and flee.
By now, Nara has clambered up a tree, from which height she can jump down and spear the Deviant in place. The plan works. She straddles its scaly back and plunges her weapon into its flesh. Its whole body writhes with a guttural growl, its legs giving out underneath as she twists the spear in deeper. With a final burst of energy, the creature violently pivots its tail, impaling her in the lower abdomen.
“No!” Druig dashes to where she is. Squeezing her eyes shut, Nara breaks off the end of the dead Deviant’s tail, freeing herself. He catches her just before she falls off.
“Sersi!” He calls out, sheer panic in his voice. “A little help over here!”
But the other Eternals are busy. Sprite has materialized a small knife and blindly stabbed one of the Deviants, practically dangling from its upper jaw. “Any minute now!” She urges Kingo, who’s scrambling to channel energy into his palms.
Ikarus reappears, laser beams at full blast, but is immediately pinned down by another Deviant. Each time he manages to bring his head up, the creature slams him back down, dragging him through the dirt. Seeing no other option, Sersi grabs a sharp fragment of wood and jabs it at the Deviant. As expected, it snaps around and comes after her. Easily trapping her in a water basin while Ikarus watches on in horror.
And there is so much blood. Nara’s blood. On Druig’s hands, at the hem of his tank top. Soaking through his trousers where he is kneeling on the ground. He dares not look away from her, even as she tries to get up to help Sersi.
“Hey, hey, stay still!” He scolds, hand hovering over her abdomen where the tail is still wedged.
A good five feet away, Sersi is about to do the impossible: turn an organic being into stone, effectively escaping death by a hair’s width.
Kingo, too, has succeeded, albeit covered in Deviant goo.
“Sersi, please!” Druig calls again, finally gaining everyone’s attention. Sersi, still dumbfounded by her new ability, staggers over to where he’s holding Nara. The red-haired girl tries to lift her head, but the effort only sends a jolt of agonizing pain through her body.
“I’ve got you,” Sersi comes to her aid, promptly transforming the Deviant’s tail into thin air.
“Nara, listen to me…” says Druig, brushing Nara’s hair away from her eyes.
“Druig…?” She whispers his name in a shaky breath. “I’m sorry…”
“Shh, don’t apologize…” He tries to keep calm for her sake. “Hey, listen to me, alright? I know it’s gonna hurt, but you gotta cauterize the wound. Like you did for me in Japan all those years back, remember? Do it for me, yeah?”
“I––I don’t want to burn you…” is her weak reply. A sad smile tugs at the corners of his lips. He isn’t the one bleeding out.
“It’s okay, m’darling. I won’t even feel a thing,” he reassures her. “I promise it’ll be okay.”
Reluctantly, she gives a feeble nod. Taking a sharp inhale. Willing herself to stop shaking. Flames spark to life under her palm, which she presses against the gaping mouth of her wound. The pain is all-consuming, overriding all of her senses, but the feeling of Druig’s palm atop hers and the contours of his face in her blurry vision anchor her to consciousness.

Hale and Dunbar | Liam Dunbar
Tumblr media
Summary: You, a Hale, were born a werewolf, whereas Liam was bitten. You help the new pack member through his transition, becoming more than just his guide.
Warnings: Death
“Scott bit someone?” The information that your brother had just told you was a surprise. He didn’t seem like the type of alpha that would want to create more werewolves, after all, he himself knew how hard it was for the bitten to adapt to their new and changed lives.
“A kid.” Derek said bluntly, closing his car door as he walked towards Scott’s front door, with you hot on heels. “He’s strong, I’ll give him that.”
“And what does any of this have to do with me?” You crossed your arms, glaring at your sibling for an answer, pausing your footsteps momentarily.
“He’s your age (Y/N), and he could use a friend.” You groaned at that, throwing your head back.
“He has Scott, isn't that enough?” Now it was Derek’s turn to glare at you, and he lightly shoved you closer to the door and then knocked.
It was only a minute or two until Scott opened the door, and from his expression, he obviously hadn’t been expecting either one of you.
“Derek, (Y/N), what are you two doing here?” He invited you in, and you squeezed past him as you remembered that the last time that you were in here you were fighting the Oni. Just the thought made you shiver.
“This one needed time out of the apartment.” Your brother earnt himself a growl and a flash of golden eyes on your part as you wandered into the living room, where you saw Stiles talking to a boy you didn’t recognise.
Must be the new beta, you thought.
“Stiles.” You greeted him with a nod, and that was more than enough to make him jump.
“Jesus.” He clutched his chest, not having expected your presence in the moment. “You’re worse than your brother I swear.”
“I mean, I can’t help that your concept of your surroundings is slower than a werewolf’s. But Scott could, but as I’ve been told, he’s already nipped someone.” Your eyes diverted to Liam, he had to be the victim. You could smell the wolf in him, it was distinct. New.
At your gaze, the boy squirmed. You were a stranger, yet you knew all about his forced invitation into the pack, and more for all that he was aware. But he knew that you weren’t a danger, he could hear your friendly - ish greeting with Scott.
“And now, there’s another target on the deadpool. Fun.” You bit your lip, sitting right next to Liam, who watched you attentively. He tensed his shoulders before speaking to you, trying to come across as confident and cocky as he had initially done with the boys.
“You know about the deadpool?” He knew that Scott wanted to keep it on the down low, especially since the benefactor had yet to be found. At his query, you smirked. So new and naive to the workings of the pack and its members.
“I know a little bit about everything.” You spoke, noticing your brother watching you from the doorframe. You sent him a glare, and complied with the reason as to why you had been dragged here in the first place. “Except you. You’re fresh meat that has just hit the agenda.”
There was no way that Liam could keep up his outgoing persona now. Since he was the centre as to why such an attractive girl would come to a house in the middle of the night. You wanted information.
“I - I play lacrosse.” He fumbled over his words making Stiles hide his sniggers behind his hand.
“Let’s skip the basics Dunbar. Who are you really?”
-
They were on your tail, quite literally in your evolved form. The hunters had returned, and were trying to take down all of the packs in Beacon Hills. Satomi’s was near on extinguished, there were a few in hiding, seeing as they weren’t trained to defend their selves.
But you were, and yet you were still running in the shape of a black dog, avoiding the arrows and bullets that came your way, or at least the ones that hadn’t hit you yet.
The whole town had turned their backs on you, partially because of the Anuke Ite’s influence, but the rest was down the Gerard and Monroe.
There had to be some way that you could lose these stragglers. For sure, you were faster than the lot of them, but you were so incredibly tired from the running and fighting. It was still light out, and the school was in your sights.
Liam would be there, as well as Mason and Corey. You could get help, cry out for it or just damn straight find it on your own accord. If you howled however, it would signal your location to not only the men that were trailing you, but every hunter in training inside of the school. And to say the least, that would not be good.
But you rampaged through the doors anyway, the men would not be permitted to enter with firearms. And if they did, then the sheriff would be called and that would double up the protection upon you.
Liam could sense your presence and quickly ran out of Mrs Finch’s class. He didn’t need to care about what people thought, they had quite clearly already formed their opinions.
He could smell your blood, and so he ran into the girls locker room, realising that was where you had decided to habitat.
The boys locker room would have been a rookie mistake, considering Gabe and Nolan performing as though they were Monroe’s bus boys.
“(Y/N).” He belted as he saw you in your evolved form, trying to lick at your wounds. “Shit.” He breathed, removing his jacket and holding it around you so that you could shift back without being exposed to the cold air. “It’s okay.”
It wasn’t okay, not in the slightest. Even as you transformed back, there was still so much blood, it coming out in black clots. You weren’t healing.
“Li.” You smiled, reaching up and stroking his face that had grown more defined over the time that you had known him. “I knew you’d find me.”
“Always.” He promised, water pooling in his blue eyes as he grabbed his phone and dialled Scott, but the tone just kept ringing, ending in no reply.
There was no time, he reached towards the wounds over your body, unsure of where to start. There were so many holes imbedded and bleeding through your skin, too many.
“I don’t know what to do.” He spoke, he couldn’t ask the school for help, they wouldn’t let you die in peace, they’d ensure you left the world in pain.
“Just stay with me.” With that he pulled you closer. “At least I get to see the rest of my family, it’s been years.”
“You shouldn’t have to die like this, I should do something.” If you left like this, he’d never rinse off the guilt, he’d lose control as he would have lost his anchor.
“If this I had a choice in how my death played out, I wouldn’t change it.” Rubbing your numbing lips together, you grabbed Liam’s hand, frowning as he attempted to remove your pain.
“I can’t take your pain.”
“It’s because it doesn’t hurt.” You sighed, now understanding how Allison had felt when her time was passing. “I’m just happy that I got to know you, that I got to love you. I’ve seen you realise that you aren’t a monster, you’re a werewolf, and a damned good one.”
“Don’t go.” Tears were falling upon your face from his own. “I need you, stay, please.”
“It’s not up to me, just don’t join me anytime soon Dunbar otherwise I’ll have to kick your ass.” A few spluttered coughs left your mouth, along with portions of blood.
“But-“ he has began to speak, but noticed how your eyes were fluttering and your heart was slowing.
If these were his last words, he was sure as hell he wouldn’t make a one sided argument out of them.

I’ll Save You from the Pirates

Katara made sure everything was zipped and buttoned before stepping out of the small control building. She was grateful for the early morning survey trip; being in the South Pole brought in a lot of things too close for comfort.
The village she had selected for the initial drilling was on the northern side of the mountains watched over her childhood. On an especially clear day in summer, it was possible to see the far distant peaks of the Air Nation archipelago.
Or else, that’s what she assumed those smudges on the horizon were.
Shaking her head, Katara forced a smile at the workers waiting for her at the dock. She assumed she had a touch of midnight sun sickness, since her body was used to the perpetual darkness of the northern winter at the moment. Even with the new simulated nighttime, Katara was not adjusting as quickly as she had hoped.
It made her head feel like a balloon despite her body feeling sluggish.
“Shall we?” Katara asked, looking from man to man. They were unfamiliar to her, but so were many of the people she met in the South Pole.
The only time she had ever left her village was the once. And she hadn’t properly returned from that trip.
A lifetime ago, Katara had stepped onto a different sort of rickety boat. This one was made of metal, required some sort of crew to operate, and was probably more likely to survive a squall in the open ocean.
But her head still rocked violently when she was fully onboard.
“Gum, Majesty?” One of the men offered. Katara smiled in a closed lipped, queasy sort of way. Taking the thin rectangle of foil, her fingertips felt numb while unwrapping it. The gum was a pale pink, like the meat of any arctic fish.
That image didn’t help her head.
Her jaw worked slowly, feeling the gum nearly disintegrate between her teeth. The flavor was odd, but there was enough mint to calm her a bit.
Sitting on a box of supplies, Katara looked over the edge as the ship pulled away from the dock. The Beifong representative had been complaining of pirates for weeks. Small, quick boats that harassed their supply ships. Usually the attacks were pointless; the expensive equipment had been installed months ago. But medical supplies, shelf stable food, and other minor sundries were beginning to add up on the list of pirated goods.
Fire Nation engineers weren’t bothered by the pirates. Many of them were former military and were not at all subtle over their wish to interact with sea bandits.
Not to be inferred as wanting to fight Water Tribals of course, your Highness.
They were a congenial sort, in their own way.
As they continued on, Katara rubbed her eyes. A migraine was building at her forehead and she called up the cold water to attempt to heal it.
The brain was tricky, and sometimes she had trouble healing herself as she often didn’t think it was bad enough to worry over. Pressure pounded, but the pain stayed as that cloudy prophecy of worse to come.
In her mouth, the gum quickly lost its flavor, so Katara spat out the wad into her palm. The pink was long gone, and the wrinkled gray lump looked foul.
“What even was that?” She muttered and turned around. The man who offered her the gum was standing next to her, a bag in his hands.
Thinking it was trash, Katara moved to shake out the used gum.
The bag went over her head.
When she came to, the sun was setting. This meant two things: that she had been unconscious for a very long time and that they were no longer in South Pole waters.
And noting that she was also in a straight jacket, bound to a tree, Katara figured she was in the Earth Kingdom.
The pirates, as she assumed them to be, were near enough by that Katara could see them at their small fire. The light faded before it got to her, and so she couldn’t make out faces or words.
Looking around, and trying to shift into a comfortable position, Katara knew she was in the woods and far from the ocean. The straight jacket kept her arms and hands from bending, and her legs were shackled tightly together.
Rohan had told her stories about how the late King Bumi could earthbend by wriggling his eyebrows, but Katara wasn’t that skilled. Yet.
Sighing, Katara looked back at the fire.
Historical pirates had been her people, but they were effectively wiped out during the war. Airbender Bumi had created his Sky Pirates, and now they had been replaced by Earth Kingdom citizens. A counterclockwise Avatar cycle.
Bound and still feeling sick, the night air was at least steadying her senses. But she really didn’t know what to do next.
And yet, she really didn’t feel the need to plan. The situation almost made her feel calm. It took the sudden figure behind her to tell her why.
“I’ll save you from the pirates.” A soft voice whispered into her ear.
Katara snorted, turning it into a sneeze in case she was overheard. She was, and one of the pirates got up to investigate.
“Oh no. A ruffian approaches. Whatever shall I do.” Katara said robotically.
The man frowned as he neared.
“Don’t think of calling for help.” He said.
“Wouldn’t dream of it.” Katara replied and smiled broadly.
“You think something’s funny? I’d like to see you try your bending now.” He said.
“Neither of us needs bending to kick your ass.” The shadowed man said.
The pirate straightened just as the hilt of a sword smashed into the side of his head. The man collapsed as his assailant moved into the dusky light.
The blue oni mask sent electricity through Katara’s veins.
“Let me help you out.” Zuko said, crouching next to her and slicing through the straps.
“You might want to focus on them.” Katara said, wiggling out of the restraint.
Zuko stood and turned, separating his dual swords and rotating his wrists to loosen them.
“Be right back my love.” He said and darted forward.
Katara watched as closely as she could, shoulder off the straightjacket. Zuko moved quickly, as he always did, and many of the pirates were unable to even reach their guns. Those that did nearly lost a hand before Zuko knocked them prone.
To her surprise, there was an actual Earthbender among the group and Katara wondered if she should intervene. She was working on the shackles on her ankles when the cannonball of earth slammed Zuko into a tree. But the Blue Spirit leapt back onto his feet and kicked debris into the Bender’s face. By the time Katara snapped off the frozen metal, the Bender was face down on the ground.
Zuko paused to put out the small fires made when he kicked their cook fire before walking back to Katara. He held out his hand to help her up and she dusted off the back of her pants as he sheathed his unified sword.
“How did you get here so quickly?” She asked.
“Sokka helped.” He explained.
“But this?” Katara questioned, gesturing to his costume.
“I had plans.”
“Plans?” She stepped in close, running her fingers along the edge of his mask. “Did it involve a veil?”
“For you it involved only veils.” He answered, putting a warm hand on her lower back.
“KATARA!” A man’s voice bellowed and they jumped apart.
“My dad?” Katara choked out.
“It would make sense that others would be responding to this incident, yes.” Zuko said stoically, like he was also just realizing this.
“You need to go.” She hissed, shoving at Zuko’s side.
“Where?” He whispered back. “I don’t really know where I am!”
“KATARA!” Hakoda called again, much closer now.
“They can’t see you! You’re a wanted man!” Katara continued to shove, but Zuko didn’t move.
“My boat is that way!” He said, pointing past her to where Hakoda’s voice had come.
“KATARA!” Hakoda sounded desperate, and it actually raked at Katara.
“You have to get-” She stopped as she heard multiple people run into the clearing.
“GET AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER!” Hakoda yelled. Katara turned, spreading her arms wide.
“He saved me dad!” She yelled back.
Hakoda halted and looked around. Seeing the very recent carnage, Hakoda made quick gestures. The others with him ran forward, securing the unconscious pirates.
“Who are you?” Hakoda asked cautiously, walking slowly up to them.
“This is the Blue Spirit. I’ve actually met him before, during the war.” Katara explained haltingly. She lowered her arms and glanced upward. “He’s….mute?”
“Well then.” Hakoda was awkward and his words were just as fumbled. “Thank you.”
He then made a sort of pained face, tilting his head slightly. “Are you really a spirit?”
“Probably not.” Katara said and heard Zuko huff behind his mask.
“At least, the Fire Nation thinks he’s just some traitor.” She added.
“I haven’t much cared for the opinion of the Fire Nation.” Hakoda muttered and Katara frowned.
“But I thank you for rescuing my daughter.” He continued. “Man or not, I must thank you properly for your help. It’s my duty as a chief, and a father.”
As Katara started to protest, Zuko moved from behind her and bowed. It was a modified gesture from the typical Fire Nation salute. It was meant to show respect to other nations.
“Great, now we can see what a spirit eats.” Katara growled, her jaw clenched.
“You know, we should hope he is a spirit.” Hakoda said as they started to walk in the direction Katara assumed the boats had moored.
“Why’s that?” Katara asked in exasperation, knowing Zuko would want to ask himself.
“You said you’ve met before. I don’t think the Fire Lord would appreciate the competition.” Hakoda finished.
Zuko huffed again and Katara sighed.

Jotaro - Sister
This is cross-posted from Wattpad and available on AO3.
Enjoy~
Y/N is Jotaro’s sister
I want to make clear that this fic is non romantic. I don’t write incest.
"Papa, since you're here, I have to show you Jotaro and Y/N's old pictures~" Holly cheered excitedly while dragging her father to the living room.
"Oohhh can't wait!" Joseph joined, enthusiastic to see some hidden treasures of his grandchildren.
The commotion of Holly and Joseph going through photo albums caught you and Jotaro's attention as you both walked past the living room.
"Look at this one, Papa! Their first time going to the beach together! Y/N was scared and Jotaro brought her a starfish!" Holly squealed and you furrowed your eyebrows.
"Uh, mom what are you doing...?" You carefully asked.
"Oh! I'm showing your baby pictures to your grandfather!"
You glanced at Jotaro next to you who had a pearl of sweat gliding down his forehead. Oh no...
"Oohh ohhh!!! This one is my favourite! Jotaro and Y/N taking a bath together~" You both flinched.
"Ooohhhh!!!! OH MY GOOODD!!! How cuuuteee~" Joseph cupped his face in his hands and was almost dying at the cuteness before him.
"You know! Y/N would always tell me this, 'When I grow up I want to marry Jotaro onii-chan!' " You blushed madly and gasped at the embarrassing memory.
"MOOOM!!!! WHAT THE HELL?! WHY WOULD YOU EVEN REMEMBER THAT???" Joseph burst into a fit of laughter while your mother had a sheepish look on her face.
"Yare yare daze..." Jotaro walked away with his hat resting low on his head, effectively covering his reddening face.
You were Jotaro's younger sister. Despite your age difference being negligible, your relationship was very complex. It changed and switched a lot throughout the years.
As children you used to be really close, nothing could separate you. You would share and do everything together, from toys, to beds and everything in between. You both took care of each other in your own way.
But as the years passed, Jotaro grew colder and more distant, which was to be expected from a male teenager who had been overwhelmed by feminine compagny, whereas you became calmer, more patient and less cheerful than before, trying to learn to not depend on your brother's presence as you used to in the past.
Despite your differences, you two still kept that unconditionnal kindness that seemed to run in the family.
Currently, you both lived your lives on your own ways. You couldn't really say you were close, or at least, not as much as before. You didn't think your relationship could progress any further from there, at least, not until a certain day.
You both walked out the door after receiving your usual goodbye kisses from your mother Holly, and went on your way to school.
You used to always make the walk to school together, but since highschool, Jotaro would just walk in front of you and leave you behind without even looking back.
The first few times, you'd run after him, calling him out to wait for you, but after a few days, you gave up and accepted to just make the walk on your own. You were used to him ignoring you even at school so you grew to not mind it anymore.
From his point of view, it was to protect you from having a stressful walk surrounded by fangirls, being the potential target of bullies who wanted to get to him, or to prevent you from being in the middle of a fight between stupid thugs who wanted to meddle with Jotaro.
But as you didn't know that, in your eyes you were just a burden to him. You didn't want to be the annoying clingy sister and as he was already very edgy, you left him be.
You continued your lone walk to school, your brother long gone before you and already out of sight. You heard voices behind you and you flinched.
"Oohh isn't that Kujo? Hey yeah it's her! Kuuujoooo~" You kept on walking, but they caught up to you.
"Hey, hey, babygirl, don't ignore us like that~ What's the matter, where's your big brother?" One of the guys said, sliding an arm around your shoulders and leaning a bit too close to your face.
"Yeah, where's your big strong bro? Not very nice to let his sister all alone in the street. It's okay though, you don't need him, we'll take care of you~" The other snickered, towering next to you and taking a strand of your hair between his fingers, playing with it as you looked down.
These two guys again, for some reason they had this weird obsession with you and just wouldn't take the hint.
"...Please go away, I don't have time for this." you quietly said, not even bothering speaking up. They wouldn't listen anyway, but you still tried.
"Don't worry sweetie, you're okay with us, we'll protect you!"
"I don't need protection, go away."
"Awww, don't be like that~ It makes me want you even more." The shortest slid his hand from your shoulders down your arm and laid it on your waist.
You sighed and swatted their hands off of you. "Shut up, you're so annoying!"
"Ooh she's trying to act all tough like her bro, how fucking cute!" The tallest one then forcefully grabbed your wrist and pulled you towards him.
"LET GO YOU PSYCHO!" You pushed him as hard as you could, which sent him stumbling over a nearby parked car.
"You asked for it you stupid bitch!" He then slapped you hard across the face, so hard, the impact made you lose balance and you fell down on the ground, dropping your schoolbag.
"Dude! Stop, that's too much!" the short one quiered, overwhelmed by the turn of events.
"SHUT UP! I gotta teach her a lesson. Get up, Kujo."
He didn't even let you react and pulled you up by the arm, slamming you straight against his chest. You struggled, but he locked you firmly in his surprisingly strong arms. "So what are you gonna do? Where's Jotaro now, huh?"
"I'm here, motherfucker."
They flinched and both their jaw dropped. They slowly looked up to see the huge form of your brother, standing so tall he was blocking the sun behind him and casting a shadow over you three.
"J-j-j-.....JOTARO???!!" the shortest one stuttered, shaking like a leaf and sweating bullets.
"...What the FUCK do you think you're doing to my sister?" Your behemoth of a brother growled.
Before they could even retort, Jotaro grabbed you and abruptly snatched you out of the boy's hold, making you stumble against him and he caught you effortlessly in his arm. He sent a murderous glare to the two boys and they whimpered, taking the warning very seriously.
"I-I-.... Shiiit!!! I'LL COME BACK FOR YOU KUJO!!!" The tall one stormed off with his friend following close behind.
"Yare yare daze..." Jotaro sighed in annoyance as he turned towards you. "Are you okay?"
You nodded quietly, looking down at the floor. He harshly held your chin in his large hand and lifted your face up, inspecting your bruised cheek.
"Tch... That asshole...Can't wait to dance on his fucking grave." You put a reassuring hand over his arm and he relaxed slightly, letting you go.
"Don't. It's not worth it, Jojo. Let's go, Mom will be worried if we're late to school again."
You spoke softly and he stared at you in silence, not moving an inch, but before you could question him, he started.
"Stop looking at me like this."
"Huh?"
"I can't bear that melancholic look on your face. Wipe that out."
"That... That's just my face, Jojo..." You trailed off softly, quite confused with your brother's shenanigans.
"I know I made you like this."
You stared at him for a moment, then looked away, silently. Maybe you were colder than you used to, but you wouldn't put the blame on him, after all...
"I made you like this too..." You replied, looking off to the distance. "Your stone cold glare...Your burning hate for girls...It's all me, isn't it."
He fell silent. Your silences spoke more words than any of your actions, this is how it came to be. You finally looked up at him, both sharing the same stare.
"You're one to talk about a cold glare. Just look at you."
As he said that, Star Platinum manifested in front of you, surprising you as you let out a tiny gasp. He then held your cheeks and tugged slightly on them, forcing a smile out of you.
"Oh...! The spirit's back!" You were too fascinated by the weird spirit that started following your brother to even care that he was childishly playing with your face.
Jotaro cracked a tiny smile at the interactions of his Stand and his sister. He couldn't understand you sometimes, but at the end of the day, you two weren't so different.
The tall male pulled out his pack of cigarettes and brought one to his mouth before lighting it up.
"Girls are fucking headaches..." You looked up at him, deadpanning as Star Platinum and you were squeezing each other's cheeks.
"But your my little headache." He mumbled under his breath before puffing a thick cloud of smoke.
You wanted to scoff at his weird confession. Oh great. He didn't hate you as much as the others. How cute.
You looked down, your features softening into a smile as you held onto Star Platinum's arm who was now playing with your hair.
"Let's just go now, Jojo."
The moment you both started walking he noticed you wincing and limping a bit.
"Are you okay?"
"Y-yeah... It's nothing, I just scraped my knee when I fell earlier." you tried walk again, but winced at the pain from the open, bleeding wound on your knee.
Before you could even step any further, you saw your brother crouching in front of you, his back turned towards you.
"Climb."
You stared at him in utter confusion. "It's okay Jojo I ca-"
"Yare yare daze, I don't have all day. Hurry up." He pressed on and you couldn't fight his stubborn nature.
You leaned over, putting your hands on his shoulders and let your legs rest on either side of his waist as he steadied them with his hands. He effortlessly hoisted you up and walked you both to school.
It felt so nostalgic, being carried by him. The world was so much more beautiful from the view of your brother's height. You didn't care for the view though, as you leaned further against his back, wrapping your arms around his neck and resting your head on his shoulder.
"Just like old times... Right? Oni-chan..." You uttered quietly, calling the name you stopped calling him for years now.
He chuckled lightly, which was also something that you didn't hear in years.
"Yeah... Just like old times. Except now you're cheesy as shit. You're starting to sound like Kakyoin."
"Hmm? What's wrong with Kakyoin? I like my men cheesy." You purred.
He immediately stopped in his tracks and turned his head to glare at you. He suddenly felt angry as his brotherly instincts kicked in.
"...Take that back right now."
Bonus:
You were walking out of the nurse's office with Jotaro.
"See you later." He turned the other way towards his classroom.
As you were about to walk away yourself, you turned around to be met with a group of girls blocking your route.
"Y-you're Y/N Kujo, right?" Started a shy-looking girl.
"Oohh you're Jojo's sister? Cool!! Could you give him my number~?" added another one, excitedly.
"Actually, you do look like him a little bit!" Continued a third one, as they all interjected one by one.
"What? Noo they look nothing like each other, what are you saying!"
"Hmm they do have a.. Family likeness, kinda? Maybe it's the eyes, or the lips, I'm not sure, but there's definitely something!"
"Now that you say it, they do have the same cold frown on their face." they all giggled and your face was red with annoyance.
"Get lost. All of you. This is why you don't have boyfriends." And just like that, you stormed off, leaving the girls in a love-struck daze.
"Waaahh~ she's so cool~"
"She's kinda cute when she's angry."
"She could insult me all day~"
"Being hot runs in the family, so unfair~" they all squealed to themselves as they watched you leave.
Brothers kinda suck, but they're also a blessing.

Oniwaka in the Mountains - Date scenario / Fanfiction - PART 3 FINAL
Later that day, you felt something that only could have been described as divine exhaustion. Oniwaka seemed much calmer and cheerful, his eyes following you everywhere like a cat, even caught him standing right behind you a few times when you turned around. He would flash you the biggest grin and find an excuse why he is behind you. Then you decided to let him do whatever he wants and waited, soon after the floor behind you creek, and a pair of big hands enveloped you from behind with his warm breath on your neck. You felt happy.
After preparing food, which was hard considering you had a big Oni glued to your back trying to interrupt everything you were doing, you and Oniwaka sat down to eat. After your very, very long shower, you both changed into loose t-shirts and lounge shorts, and you were amazed how much bigger and bulkier he looks in a simple white t-shirt. Dangerously handsome.
"You alright? You have been staring at my t-shirt all the time. What? Don't you like it?" Oniwaka asked confused trying to read your expression. "I'll just take it off then..." He started pulling the material up but you stopped him and explained. Your face turned bright red as you mumbled it out.  Oniwaka picked your chin with his hand to look directly in your eyes.
"So... I should keep wearing it and then take it off when we are alone, is that what you are saying?" He replied with a sly smile and laughed when you started protesting it was not what you meant. But he knew exactly what you meant, and from that moment he would do everything to catch your gaze.
"Why are you embarrassed?" He asked at some point seeing you blush again.
Of course, you were embarrassed, and you knew Oniwaka did all those things to make it worse. You decided to take the initiative and you pushed him up the wall, which was hard considering Oni was a mountain of muscle but he didn't resist at all.
"Now what?" He said with a low teasing voice.
"You... You make me... Ugh!" Oniwaka smiled at your lack of words.
"You are so beautiful and handsome in every way and I love you!" You finally said and your words had an immediate effect on the Oni who started blushing himself and tried to wriggle away from your weak grasp. It felt a bit like holding a wardrobe that was about to fall.
"Why are you embarrassed?" You asked this time giving him a taste of his own medicine. But Oniwaka wasn't going to be teased that easily, besides he was much stronger than you so he easily grabbed you and picked up.
"Just... Just shut up" he said with a nervous laugh landing a kiss on your lips.
Once the food was served you are slowly joking and talking, Oniwaka would tease you, especially about the rice balls which you spent hours making to have them look like small animals.
"I wouldn't mind having food like this every day of my life." He added with his mouth full.
"Cute and fluffy? It does take a while to prepare..."
"No. With you." He replied slowly. You couldn't stop smiling after that. After the food was finished Oniwaka seemed even more relaxed, it was something you already noticed early. He loved his food and after eating a good meal would be happy.
With a small surprise ready you asked the Oni to maybe see if there are any board games around. While he was busy with that you washed the dishes and prepared tea.
Choji was very kind with helping you and the treats you brought with you could make anyone dizzy.
Coming back to the main room you saw Oniwaka being excited over a Go game board, then he looked at you carrying a tray and quickly got up excited.
"What do you have here?" On the tray, you prepared a plate with dango and mochi together with some of the special fruit butter and a drink for both of you. "Wha-! Oh man, I didn't have dango in years!" He stole a skewer before you even managed to lay the tray on the floor between you.
"Hey! Manners!" You jest at him with a pretend frow. Oniwaka just shrugs innocently with his mouth full then points at the Go board.
"I challenge you to... Mmm.. uhh... A go game" he said chewing.
You always enjoyed playing Go with Shiro who was good at it and would kick your ass whenever possible at it. Happily, you accepted the challenge, and you both spent an evening getting excited over who is going to win. At one point you managed to win three times in a row only for Oniwaka to take you easily in a next round. In the end, it was a tie between the scores. The Oni rubbed his hands a few times pleased and then stated he will prepare the bed. There was no argument at all that you are going to sleep together, and Oniwaka pulled out the largest futon he could find and set up the bed.
Meanwhile, you cleaned the rest of the dishes and turned most of the lights out. The outside was peaceful and serene as before. Once everything was checked you closed the door and went back to the kitchen to make sure everything is washed or in the fridge.
You heard a grumble and cough, twice now. Oniwaka was trying to get your attention. Already in bed, completely naked with the duvet covering his hips and arms stretched wide in the air, his hands gesticulating for you to come, inviting. And there was this greedy, cheeky smile again. The Oni knew he can get whatever he wanted this way. You quickly undressed, turned off the main light leaving only a small lamp next to the futon and climbed into bed straight into his open arms burrowing your face in Oniwaka's chest. He was both soft and hard, and oh so warm. Within seconds he turned the tables and was laying on top of you, holding your head in his arms kissing your lips, then slowly your jaw and neck. His scruff grew anew since he shaved earlier and was tickling driving you insane. Soon with Oniwaka showering your body with tender kisses, and whispering into your ear how much he loves you, you fall into a long, deep and dreamless sleep.
*
Through your closed eyelids you could feel the light slowly creeping in, surrounding you.
A large, rough hand caressed your head, moving away from the fair from your face. You stop it before it goes away kissing the inside of the palm. Slowly opening your eyes you realize you aren't in bed at all. But wrapped in a blanket, next to Oniwaka sitting looking at... Oh your heart almost stopped seeing the mountains painted by the gold and crimson colours of the morning sun, another valley opened below before you. Surrounded by the blooming peach trees, it felt unreal. Oniwaka sitting next to you, with a mysterious expression, looking at you. He must have gently carried you to here, at the end of the tranquil valley from where you could see the whole mountain range.
"It's beautiful" You manage only a few words. "It's so beautiful." Rubbing your sleepy eyes, feeling a flush of emotions, trying not to show it. The sun slowly crept up your legs than your arms warming your whole body.
"I... A wish we could live like this... Together." You form the words slowly, maybe it's because your mind is still foggy and it all feels like a dream, but you say it anyway.
"Forever?" Oniwaka asks nervously rubbing the side of his hand. "Would... Would you like to be with me forever?"
"Y- yes!" You answer without hesitation reaching for his hand.
"I... Ah... I'm angry with myself. I wanted to..." Oniwaka was struggling to say why he felt getting angry on himself. "I... ah... thought about this for a long time and... It's nothing much because I'm really short on money but... "
He hands you a small wrapping he kept hidden away, his large hands trembling slightly and his face very red at this point.
"Would... Ah... I would like to watch the sunrise every morning with you from now on." Oniwaka says looking directly in your eyes, holding your hand, waiting nervously for you to open the wrapping. Feeling a hot flush in your chest, you unwrap the box and within it, you find a very simple silver ring, with a  lapis lazuli insert, polished to perfection, glimmering and changing colours in the morning sun. The Oni bit his lip nervously unsure what to do, you were unsure what to do, what to say.
"Oniwaka... I..." You start slowly holding the ring. Shocked and at the loss of words.
"You don't have to... If you don't want to." He interrupts you halfway. "I...I'm sorry... I'm an idiot." He turns his head away fidgeting slightly, but you pull the large hand to get his attention back.
"Hey, can I say something first?" You squeeze his palm.
The Oni glares at you with red eyes and a grey face.
"Oniwaka Houzouin, you make my heart very happy, You big idiot. Of course, I want to see the sunrise with you every morning, and see the moon set every night."
The shock on Oniwaka's face was so damn cute you had to smile, then passing him the ring you suggested he should put it on your finger. The Oni gently took the ring and slid it on, wrapping his both hands around your and kissing your palm, and your fingers. Then leaning towards to taste your lips with a smug expression.
"I made coffee while you were sleeping." He reached for a thermos and two mugs that were sitting next to him all along. You gladly take the coffee, filling the warm liquid fill your mouth and then the heat spread pleasantly through the body, cleansing the night fog.
"Hey... Listen." Oniwaka started with a softer voice, his eyes looking directly into yours. "Be patient with me, okay? I've never been close to anyone, I don't know how to behave. It's strange being just two of us... But at least now I don't have to... you know, worry about what I feel. And I can be there for you, and watch you sleep."
You smiled gently, and then move closer to him, having his arm around your neck, both looking at the sunrise.

We Pulled A Barry Allen, Bloody Hell.
Tumblr media
|| Hope's Point of View ||
I shoot up, gasping for breath and immedately looking at my surroundings.
We're in Mystic Falls. The big oak tree to be exact... I remember it from when Lizzie had the Oni in her and was slowly going insane. "Good times". I continue to look around, before realizing how dark it is. Is it night time? School was just happening. What the hell made us pass out? I stand up, embers floating around all three of us.
I walk towards Lizzie and Josie, and see if their awake. At my touch Lizzie startles awake, hand rushing up to her chest as she looks at me.
"Hope! You gave me a damn heart attack!" She is taking deep breaths, calming down, before looking around. "Wait, where are we?"
"We are in the park, in the middle of town Lizzie. Now, stop hitting me and help me wake your sister."
Lizzie reluctanly stood up, and walk over to her sisters sleeping body. We wake Josie up, who was by far less startled. As soon as Josie stands up, we hear a scream.
That was suddenly cut off.
"Fuck..." I whisper, before taking off towards the source of the scream, Lizzie and Josie running right after me.
We slowly approach the source, we found two-probably dead-bodies. One male and One female. One was on top of the hood of the car and the other was a bit further down the road. Both with two teeth marks in their necks.
The teeth marks of a vampire.
"Crap..." Josies says.
"When can I get these mudy clothes off?"
"Lizzie!" Me and Josie shout.
|| 2 hours later ||
We walked to the old mill, figuring that the old mill would be a safe enough place to sleep for a while. I take watch first so I watch as the two sleep. I hear movement in the distance, so with one last look back at the girls, I walk towards the movement to see what it was.
I see a man with raven hair and a blue ring on his finger.
"Who the hell are you?" The raven haired man asks.
"The better question is who the hell are you and what the hell are you doing out here."
"Oh, you know. Just walking around. Looking for a bite to eat. Maybe a place to stay for the night. Where are you staying"
"Tell me your name and then we can talk, Raven Boy."
"If you must know, my name is Damon. Damon Salvatore."
"Like the founding family?"
"Yep. Exactly like them. Your turn girly. Whats your name?"
"Hope."
"What a cliche name. I mean Hope?"
"Quiet, Raven Damon."
"Hey! I give the nicknames!"
"Would you rather me call you "vampire"?"
That makes him stop dead in his tracks. He isn't doing anything but looking straight at me. All the humor drained from his face.
"What... in the hell... did you just say to me?"
"I said that you were a vampire. I mean come on, in all black, walking around at night. The night we- I found two dead bodys with two holes, bite marks, in the necks, drained of blood."
"Who are you? No wait. What, the hell are you?"
He takes a few steps towards me, glaring. I bring my hand up and start to give him an anuerysm. He grips his head in pain.
"Witch Bitch... good to know."
"Now, are you so sure you want to eat me?" Hold up... He said his name was Damon. Damon Salvatore. Meaning the very human, married, with children, Damon. Salvatore.
"What day is it?"
"Sebtember 10th. 2009. Why, don't you know your dates Hopey?"
Think Hope, think. You've read his brother's journels. You should know what's happening now. This was just a little bit before Dad came to town. I've read these journels a million times...
Katherine Pierce.
Damon Salvatore is in love with her. He think she's in the tomb. He's going to try and get her out... I can use that to my advantage.
"Not the point. So are you going to kill me , or would you rather have my help to get the love of your life Katherine out?"
"How the fucking hell do you know about that?"
"Did you forget that I'm a witch, or are you just an idiot?"
"Alright fine. I'll make you a deal. I won't kill you, and you help me find Kathrine. Deal?"
"Only if you don't kill my friends either."
"You have friends. Shocker."
"A least I have more then you. Deal or no deal?"
"Deal Hopey. Are your friends by chance witches, or warlocks I don't descrimiate, too?"
"Why?"
"We need all the help we can get." Oh, so he doesn't believe I could do it myself. Rude.
"Yeah. Their witches."
"Great. Now, where are we sleeping?"
After I look into the back of my head because of how hard I rolled my eyes, I gathered the strength to reply. "Follow me. It's not the best, but it's the best we could do on the sort notice we had."
"What did you just magically apper in town?"
"Something like that."
"Ok. Cryptic girl. Anything else?"
" We are all underage girls. Lay a hand on anyone of us we will kill you ."
"I won't unless they want me to."
"No, you won't at all, because then I will kill you." I warn, giving him a sweet smile.
We just continue to walk in silence. When we get to the mill, I raise my hand and put a finger over my lips. He just rolls his eyes.
What is it about him that makes me want to kick him in the face? Or drop him off a building? Or just kill him?
We quietly walk inside, finding Josie sitting there by her sister, who was still sleeping soundly.
"Hey Jo... This is Damon Salvatore..." I whisper to her.
"What? How did you find him? Why did you bring him here? Why-" To quickly cut her off, I put a hand over her mouth.
"So. You both know who I am now, who are your friends Hopey?"
"Friends." was all I said.
I walk over to wake Lizzie up. Again, she didn't want to wake up. Again, she started attacking me with her eyes closed.
"Lizzie. Up. Please."
She grumbles, slowly sitting up and rubbing her eyes to wake up. When she see Damon her eyes widened.
"Quiet" I whisper to her. "I'll explain later."
"What are you two whispering about? You know it isn't polite."
"Shut up."
"Well then, I can see you don't have a house, unless you try and convince me this run down mill is a home. And your minors, I remember you telling me that for a fact Hopey, so shouldn't your asses be in school?"
"Yeah, but we don't have transcripts or anything so we can't go. And we don't have any damn money for a house or apartment." Lizzie states, just staring at Damon in confusion.
"Well ladies, that the beautie of compulsion. I can have you in school and get you a house by the morning. As long, of course, you follow up on your part of the deal."
"Wow. Thanks." I say, rolling my eyes for the fifth time today.
|| The Next Day ||
I slowly open my eyes, feeling comfy and warm in a bed. I really should thank Damon.
But will I?
Nope! But, compulsion is now my new favorite thing. And this bed is so damn soft, I could never leave.
Unfortuantely, I already hear Lizzie and Josie up downstairs so, slowly I get up. I get dress in a new outfit Damon had kindly gotten us as well.
Damon had also kindley gotten us backpack and school supplies, I can already see some humanity left in Damon even he suppositly turn it off. I guess Stefan's journels were right.
I slowly walk downstairs, seeing the girls just eating fruit at the counter. I grab an apple and look at them.
"Well, we should get to school, shouldn't we?" I suggest, eating a few more bites.
"Ladies first." Lizzie says, standing up and walking out the door. I hear Jo laugh as I shake my head, before we follow her outside.
As soon as we got to the school, we saw the Elena Gilbert and The Bonnie Bennett standing in front of the office. I snuck a peack inside and saw The Stefan Salvatore. Then I herad Elena and Bonnie start to talk with my werewolf hearing, me and the girls just standing by a locker..
"Hold up. Who's this?" Bonnie asks.
"All I see is back." Elena responds.
"It's a hot back."
They stand there watching for a minute, then Bonnie decides to speak up.
"I'm sensing Seattle, and he plays the guitar."
Elena scoffs. "You're really going to run this whole psychic thing into the ground, huh?"
"Pretty much"
"What are they saying?!" Lizzie says, snapping me out of my consentration to listen to them.
"Shut up, I'm trying to listen."
Thats when I spot Jeremey Gilbert heading into the boys bathroom after a kid had told him, "Jermey, good batch man."
"I'll be right back" Elena says and follow Jeremy into the bathroom.
After Elena left Bonnie mumbled "Please be hot." at Stefan.
"What did your mom see in these people?" I ask sarcastrically.
"What happened?!" Lizzie demands.
"Okay, yes, I want to know too--" Josie agrees.
"Well, first Elena and Bonnie made comments about Stefan and how he was hot. Then, Elena went after her brother because someone told him he made good drugs and such."
"Okay, yeah, I agree with you." Lizzie says, Josie laughing beside her.
"Quiet, both of you. We have to get our schedules." Josies says, getting us to focus again.
"Yeah, sorry."
We walk into the office, talking to the lady at the desk to get our schedules. We all only have one class together each. History with the infamous Mr. Tanner. Again, I remember him from Stefan's journels. Yay. This will be so fun. We go about our days until it is finally time for lunch. Then we all sit down at the table together and start to talk about a game plan and what the hell happened.
"So where are we. I mean our mom's like 17 and our dad hasen't even moved to town yet." Josie spoke first, writing things down in a notebook.
"Last night, I asked Damon what date it was, because he is a vampire and we know for a fact that isn't the case because he took the cure to be with Elena, and now have kids. So , you know, I thought about how shitty our lives are and it clicked, so I asked him what the date was. He replied that it was 2009. That means time travel. And we're probably the Barry Allens of this story. But, also, let's not Nora ourselves out of existance."
"And that wasn't even the craziest thing to happen last night."
"What happened Lizze?" Josie asked worry evident in her voice. I look over at Lizzie too, watching her face which only shows horror.
"I got mud on my awesome outfit! I would never do that!"
"What the hell Lizzie! We're in fucking 2009 and all you can think about is the fact that your outfit had mud on it?" I stare at her, debating hurting her, as I grit my teeth. I mean we fucking time traveled and she only cares about her damn outfit! What the hell kinda person is that?
"Yeah, well maybe some of us don't usually have as big of damn problems as you!"
"Alright! Enough! Stop fighting please, and just head to class."
|| A little while later || Mr. Tanner's class ||
We were all heading for the same classroom. I still was determined not to talk to Lizzie so when we bump into each other trying to get through the door, we just glare at each other. Josie walks ahead of us and opens the door, walking in first.
"Ahh, more little devils for this period. And you three are?"
"I'm Josie, and my sister's are Hope and Lizzie." Josie speaks up.
"Would you happen to have a last name, girls?"
"Marshall." I quickly say, cutting off Lizzie who tried to speak before me.
"Marshall. Alright Marshalls, sit down in empty seats."
We all head to three diffrent seats. But knowing my luck, I got put closer to Lizzie then I would like at this time.
"Marshall?" Lizzie whispers over to me, eye still showing anger.
"Yeah, that way, when our familys move to town we won't be asked about our names."
"Isn't it still your mom's name?"
"Yeah, but it's more likely to be a coincidence then if we were Mikaelson's or Saltzman's. It's a more common last name."
"Fine."
After that Stefan Salvatore walks into the class room. He, surprisly didn't get as many questions from Mr. Tanner as we did.  He just walked to his seat without any questions. Lucky.
Then Mr. Tanner started to drone on about the civil war. I would enjoy learning about this, but with everything going on, I'm not so intrested. That and I already learned everything there is to know about this. Thats why it helps to have a 1,000 year old family.
"Once our home state of Virgina joined the Confederacy in 1861, it created a tremendous amout of tension within the state People in Virginia's northwest region had diffrent ideals than those for the traditional deep south. Then Virginia divided in 1863--" Time to ignore him and think about my problems instead.
Ha, maybe this won't be as different from the Salvatore school as I thought.
I start to look around the room, trying to find out more. Stefan's journels only had his point of view. This way, I can learn more about... everything. I looked over at the famous Elena Gilbert, who was looking at the other famous Stefan Salavtore. He also looked at her. What a damn 'Love at first sight' story this is.
Thats when Bonnie takes out her phone, and starts to type something into it. Not too long after, Elena's phone goes off. So Bonnie was texting her. How fun. How the hell would you even work one of those phones. I'm guessing that they started to gosip about Stefan Salvatore. I swear, it's like this is a damn TV show version of Twilight. At least for the 'love at first sight' aspect. Vampires, thank god, don't sparkle.
After a lot more of civil war talk, and the bell rings. At that we all get up and head to the next class. And then the rest of the day goes by like any normal school day. Or what would be a normal school day if I didn't have to sit through classes with people that we were taught at school about and was owned and taught us about all of this. Isn't awkward at all.
When the final bell rings, I run out of the room to find Lizzie and Josie who are by their lockers. I grab them and start walking away. Lucky for me, I don't have to stop at my locker so I just start dragging them home. I ignore the fact that Lizzie is complaining the whole way, as I was planning her death in my head instead of paying attention.
When we get there I sit them down on the couch.
"Alright. We need a game plan. We are Fre-emies to Damon. We help him, he helps us. We are going to high school, with your mom and her friends, and that's about it. Now that we recaped, we need to talk about what we have to do."
"How about, we look into ways to time travel, that might actually work and are real, while also looking for monsters that might have the ability to time travel. Maybe find Malivore and see if it is spiting out any monsters now?" Josie suggests.
"That sounds great. We can search the library during our free periods." I say.
"Sounds great. Now I'm going to go anywhere else. Like literally anywhere else." Lizzie says before walking out.
"Lizzie we need more of a plan--"
"And I need a break. Bye-bye!" Lizzie tells me, walking up the stairs of the house and disapearing from view.
I roll my eyes and take a deep breath. "So, Jo, what do you want to do?"
"How about we go to the grill? Get the milkshake you always like. What was it?"
"Peanut-Butter Blast with whip cream on the bottom."
"Yeah! Thats it. Lets go. Lizzie can have some time to herself, and we could get delicious milkshakes."
|| At Mystic Grill ||
Me and Josie were sitting down at a table, just chatting about random things as we wait to order.
Our waitress, as luck would have it, would be Vicki Donovan.
"What would you guys like to drink?"
"We will have two Peant-Butter Blasts with whip cream on the bottom." Josie says.
"Coming right up."
"Was that who I think it was?" Josie whispers over, while watching Vicki who just brought drinks over to Matt, her brother, Donovan and Tyler Woofwood, sorry Lockwood.
"Yeah. The Vicki Donovan. Doesn't she die in a few days?"
"Yeah. Damon kill's her I'm  pretty sure."
"No, it was Stefan to save Elena's life. I remember reading about it in his journal. Stake through the heart. I feel bad for her... Although, Damon does kill her to turn her."
Still watching Vicki we see Jeremy walk over and start talking to her. Not long after that conversation finishes, Caroline and Bonnie walk in. I point them out to Josie, and start listening into their conversation. It helped that they were talking so loud. I mean they are acting ike their on a TV show.
"His name is Stefan Salvatore. He lives with his uncle at the old Salvatore Boarding house. He hasn't lived here since he was a kid. Military family, so they moved around a lot.  He's a Gemini, and his favorite color is blue."
"You got all that in one day?" Bonnie replies.
"Oh, please, I got that between third and fourth period. We're planning a June Wedding." Hah, they did have a June wedding. To bad, he also died the same day.
At that Caroline walks off, Bonnie following a few minutes later.
Then after that there was just gossip, so we stopped eavesdropping.
"June wedding huh." I say to Josie, laughing a little.
"Shhhhhhh. We don't wanna talk about that."
"But she just predicted what would happen in the future. It's kinda funny."
"No because Stefan dies the same day!"
"You don't think I know that? That wasn't what was funny. Don't worry."
After that we sat there talking and drinking our shakes. Vicki came back a little later and we got some fries. That when I heard Matt Donovan say something that peaked my intrest so I pointed over to them and I started listening in again, using my werewolf hearing.
"How's Elena doing?" Matt asks. Poor love sick teenage boy.
"Her mom and dad died. How do you think?" Bonnie points out to Matt.
"She's putting on a good face but it's only been four months."
"Has she said anything about me?" Poor, poor forever human, Matt Donovan.
"Oh, no. So not getting in the middle. You can pick up the phone and call her."
"I feel weird calling her. She broke up with me."
"Give it more time, Matt."
"What's happening?" Jo asks me.
"Matt Donovan is love sick over Elena and Bonnie isn't getting in the middle of it."
And again, with perfect timing, Elena and Stefan walk into the Grill. I swear they were on a TV show.
Everyone turns around and looks at them when they walk into the Grill.
"More time, huh?" Poor Matt. He never stood a chance with the girl when Stefan moved to town, especially when Stefan's brother followed.
After that Matt stands up and walks away from Bonnie and toward the couple of the hour, Stefan and Elena.
"Hey, I'm Matt, nice to meet you."
"Hi. Stefan." He says while they shake hands.
"Hey."
"Hey."
That wasn't awkward at all. The two of them (Elena and Stefan) walk over to where Caroline and Bonnie were.
"So, you were born in Mystic Falls?" Caroline asks.
"Mm-hmm. And moved when I was still young." If by young you mean before you were over a hundred, then yeah. I'd agree.
"Parents?" Bonnie asked.
"My parents passed away." Didn't he kill his dad? And his mother is alive in a prison world? I mean he thought she was dead, but still. Passed away doesn't even begin to explain it.
"I'm sorry." Elena says. "Any siblings?"
"None that I talk to." I forgot how bad of brothers they were at this point. "I live with my uncle."
"So, Stefan, if you're new you don't know about the party tomorrow." Wow. I can't ever see Headmistress Caroline as a partier.
"It's a back to school thing at The Falls." Bonnie adds.
"Are you going?" Stefan asks Elena. Wow. This really was a 'love at first sight' thing. To much for my liking. What is this, a TV show?
"Of course she is." Bonnie replies for Elena. What a good friend.
Lizzie than walks into the grill and comes to sit at our table.
"There is nothing to do in this town. I miss The Salvatore school."
"Don't we all." Josie responds.
"So, I heard that there was a party. It's a back to school thing-"
At that I cut Lizzie off.
"We know."
"Ok, well great. We're all going. Because it's the only thing to do in this town. And no Hope, your coming too."
I just sigh and 'lay' down in my seat. This was going to be a long night. Scratch that. A long time before we get home.
|| The Next Day, At School, In History||
"The battle of willow creek took place right qat te end of the war in our very own Mystic falls. How many casualties resulted in this battle? Ms. Bennett?"
"Um... A lot? I'm not sure. Like a whole lot.
"Cute becomes dumb in an instant, Ms. Bennett.  Mr. Donovan. Would you like to take this opportunity to overcome your rmbrddrd jock stereotype?"
"It's ok, Mr. Tanner, I'm cool with it."
"Hmm. Elena? Surely you can enlighten us about one of the town's most significantly historical events?"
"I'm sorry, I-- I don't know."
"I was willing to be lenient last year for obvious reason, Elena, but the personal excuses ended with summer break." I inhale quickly, trying not to light something on fire.
"Four months isn't enough time for someone to grieve. Get your head out of your ass, and let someone who lost not one, but two people on the same day, deal with it." I glare at him. Four months is definetly not enough time to get better after one lose, let alone two. I should know, I lost three within... a month? Two?
After I went on my little rant I heard a few cheers while Mr. Tanner glares right back at me. Then Stefan speaks up.
"There were 346 casualties, unless you're counting local civilians."
"That's correct. Mister...?"
"Salvatore."
"Salavtore. Any relation to the original settlers here in Mystic Falls?"
"Distant."
"Well, very good. Except, of course, there were no civilian casualties in this battle."
"Actually, there were 27, sir. Confederate soldiers, they fired on the church, believing it to be housing weapons. They were wrong. It was a night of great loss. The founder's archives are, uh, stored in civil hall if you'd like to brush up on your facts. Mr. Tanner."
Before he even finishes the whole class is pretty much chuckling about him showing up the teacher.
All Mr. Tanner could say to that was an "Hmm."
Good for you Stefan.
|| Later at the party ||
All three of us arive at the party, Lizzie the most excited. Everyone was already there, because we arrived a little late, so we just grabed a beer and started our separate ways. I start walking toward a tree stump on the ground by the entrence. We see Stefan start to walk up to the party. He's looking around for someone, probably Elena.
Before he walks away though he notices me.
"Hey, your the girl who stood up for Elena right?"
"Wouldn't exactly call it standing up for her, as I was sitting down, but yeah... My name's Hope."
"Stefan. I just wanted to say that I thought what you did was really cool. You know standin-- sitting for Elena." He smiles, before sitting down next to me.
"Well, I mean she only lost her parents four months ago. He was speaking like it was ten years ago. I know I wasn't over my parents deaths four months later."
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't know. My parents died a while ago too."
"I'm sorry for your loss then."
"You too..." We sit there in a comfortable silence for a little while, Stefan looking around the party. Not too long later, he spots Elena, or probably listens for her, and finds her with Bonnie.
"Go on Lover-Boy. Go get your dream girl."
"I wasn't- I-"
"Go! You don't want to miss her."
With that he looks over at me, smiles, before standing up and walking over to her. Josie comes and sits next to me.
"Was that you talking to him?"
I noded, smiling at her.
"Cool. I only meet him a few times and I don't remember most of them, so you meet a walking Legend. Awesome."
We both look up and see Stefan and Caroline talking.
"You wanna do more eavesdropping?" I suggest.
"No, no, no. We shouldn't." Jo says, but I smirk at her, standing up and walking towards the two, hearing on.
"Hey! You made it!"
"I did."
"Well let's get you a drink."
"Well, I'm--"
"Oh, come on."
After they walk off, I look around and spot Lizzie. I look over at Jo and motion towards her sister, before slowly walking over to her.
"Hey, you ok?"
"Yep." She says before walking off.
"What's up with her?" I mouth to Josie, Josie just shrugging.
|| Josie's POV ||
I walk over toward Lizzie who is sitting down on the ground, her head inbetween her knees. Even over the loud music from the party, you could hear sniffles.
"Hey Liz. You ok?"
"Yup. Just fine."
"Wanna tell me what's wrong?"
"No."
"Lizzieeeeeeeeeeeee..." I say walking over to sit down next to her, criss cross apple sauce.
"No Jo. Not now."
"Lizzieeeeeeeeeeeee..." I say again.
"Jo, you can't help me."
"Sometime's talking about it helps."
"No Jo."
"Lizzie, you know you can tell me anything right? I will know how you feel. I've felt it before too."
"Do you know how I feel Jo? What this feeling is like? I feel like I'm going to go screw things up. I saw mom a lot today, and I wanted to go talk with her, but I was so scared that I would do something wrong, and mess up any chances I have to talk to her. And that's the best thing of all the downsides. I could have made it so we were never born!" She says tears streaming down her face.
"I could have made it so you were never born." She whispers.
"Oh, Lizzie..." I hug her from here she sits on the ground. "It's ok. You won't screw things up."
"You don't know that."
"I do. I trust you. And I know you have so much more potential to do good, and that you could go up and talk to mom and become her favorite person, even without her knowing that your her daughter. And that she won't love anyone more when she does."
"Thanks Jo." She sniffles, hugging me tighter.
|| Meanwhile || Hope's POV ||
I was walking around the party, beer in hand, when I hears Caroline, Matt, and Bonnie talking, while they look up on the bridge where Elena and Stefan are. Caroline spots me and runs over to me, grabing my hand to stop me from moving.
"Hey your one of the new girls right?"
"Yeah. That would be me."
"You're Hope, right? I'm Caroline. You seem to be all alone, which is no way to spend a party. Want to hang out with me and my friends?"
"I- um- I wouldn't-" Before I could even finish the sentence, she grabs my arm and brings me over to her friends, and I decide not to complain or anything. Easiest way to easedrop, be around the people. I feel like a spy.
"Hey Matt! Bonnie! This is Hope. She's one of the new girls!" Caroline introduces me, as I just smile at the two.
"Oh! Cool! Your in our History class right?" Bonnie asks.
"Yeah, she is because she gave Tanner that sass comment about Elena. That was awesome by the way. Not a lot of people would stand up for someone like that." Matt says before I could respond to Bonnie.
"Thanks. I just never like when teachers think that they are more important than what  is going on in the kids life. They could be having a really hard time, and not able to do most of the stuff they ask. And four months isn't enough time to grieve."
"Wow. You must be, like, a really good person." Caroline says.
"That is definitely debatable..." I laugh to myself, looking down at my beer.
After that we have just a bunch of chit-chat and small talk until after long Matt walks off, the Caroline. And... I can see she walked over to Stefan.
"That's not going to go well." I mumble
"Definitely not." Bonnie adds.
After a while, Caroline walked back over and immedately started to complain about the interaction with Stefan, saying how guys never go for her, but she gets cut off when Jeremy and Elena come running up from the woods, with Vicki in Jermey's hands. With a bite mark on her kneck.
The bite mark of a vampire.
Stefan quickly rushes a way, before the police show up.
And, eventually, the police show up with an ambulence for Vicki. Matt get's in the back with her, not wanting to leave his sister's side. I look around for Lizzie and Josie and I find them still sitting where Lizzie walked off to before. I look at them and they look at me, all three sharing the knowing look.
I'm heading with Caroline and Bonnie to the grill to get some coffee and wait for news on Vicki, trying to see if us being here changes anything.
Me, Bonnie, and Caroline get to the grill and I use the 'new' phone Damon got me and attempted to text the twins, with a little help from Bonnie who thankfully didn't ask as to why I didn't know how to use the phone.
|| A little while later || At the Grill ||
Me, Bonnie, and Caroline all are still at the grill in silence, sipping on our drinks every now and then, when I see Lizzie and Josie walk in. They grab a table by us and I just stare at the and try to comunicate without words, when Bonnie speaks up, and snaps me out of my consentration.
"Are you sober yet?"
"No"
"Keep drinking. I gotta get you home. I gotta get Hope home. I gotta get me home."
"Why didn't he go for me? You know, how come the guys that I want never want me?"
"I'm not touching that." Bonnie says, Caroline looking at me.
"Oh, nope not talking about that." I quickly say, Caroline looking frustrated.
"I'm inappropriate. I always say the wrong thing. And Elena always says the right thing. She doesn't even try! An he just picks her.  And she's always the one that everyone picks, for everything. And I try so hard, and i'm never the one ."
"It's not a competition, Caroline." Bonnie and I say at the same time, both trying to help Caroline.
"Yeah, it is."
At that we all just go back to sitting in silence. A little while later Bonnie had to go, and I gollowed soon after meeting Josie outside.
"Hey Jo. Where's Lizzie?"
"She'll be out in a minute."
|| Lizzie's POV ||
I look over where Mom was sitting. I see her send a small-- Nevermind. A big smile towards Damon Salvatore. Before they could even start talking, I sat down at Mom's table.
"Caroline, just because you don't get all the guys, doesn't mean your a failure. It just means not everything is working out for you. And if a guy turns you down, then he's the one with a problem. Not you. Your one of the best people there is out there. And if they can't see that, screw them. Most guy's are douches anyway." I say before I walk off towards Jo and Hope.
That felt really good. I got to talk to her... A teenage mom. I got to help her, or at least attempt to help her as she has many times before for me a Jo. Let's just hope that, you know, me and Josie are still born...

Don’t fear the dark, let it protect you - part one
Lloyd has always been afraid of his oni side, been afraid of it consuming him. But with some help, he might learn it’s not so scary after all.
-
Lloyd was standing in an empty meadow. It was night. The air was cold, but not in an unpleasant way. He blinked, and glanced at his surroundings. All he could see for miles was green grass and wildflowers gently waving in the wind. He didn’t take much notice of how his eyes could see in the dark as if it were broad daylight, or how his ears twitched at the sound of a distant field mouse scurrying across the ground.
“Lloyd…”
He flinched, and turned around. There was a dark figure standing behind him. Scratch that, there were many dark figures standing behind him. At first they were merely shadows, but they soon materialized into physical forms. They had horns, and hooves, and thick black fur that covered their entire bodies.
Lloyd backed away as he immediately recognized what these creatures were. “Your… oni…” he whispered shakily.
The one that had spoken bowed its head. “Yes, but do not be afraid,” it spoke softly, “we are not like the oni you have encountered before.”
It approached him slowly, and sat on its haunches in front of him. Physically, Lloyd could see that was true. This oni’s eyes were emerald green, not purple, and the markings on its face were gold instead of white. It was also wearing a jeweled crown around its horns, and a beaded necklace around its torso.
Still, Lloyd remained on edge. “Why are you here?” he asked.
The oni tilted its head to the side. “You called us here, youngling… why do you fear this part of yourself?”
Lloyd looked down at the ground. “I don’t know what you're talking about.”
“Don’t be like that,” it huffed, “your oni half is nothing to fear, it is a natural thing you should embrace.”
Lloyd clenched his fists. “How can you say that?!” he snapped, “I’m not an oni, I’m a human, if I give in to the darkness I’ll be just like… just like…”
Tears began to form in his eyes. The oni placed a gentle paw against his cheek, and nuzzled his forehead with its nose. “You are not your father Lloyd, I promise… and you don’t have to be scared of yourself anymore either.”
It took his hand, and led him towards the rest of the group. The other oni sniffed and rubbed against him as he passed by, but backed off after a low growl from the oni leading him.
The oni gestured for him to sit, and he did. “Feel the earth around you,” it said.
Lloyd grabbed a clump of dirt in his hands, then looked back at the oni expectedly.
It chuckled and shook its head. “Not quite… close your eyes, like you're meditating.”
He obeyed, and took in a deep breath. The wind seemed to stop in its tracks as the night grew silent.
“Good… now… search inside yourself,” the oni said, “feel the oni part of you, let it be free.”
His eyebrows furrowed as he concentrated. It felt strange, he had tried to hide his oni side for so long, yet now he was allowing it to take over him. But it also felt… right.
The change started at his head. His teeth morphed into fangs that jutted out of his mouth, and his nose became more feline. His ears grew longer, and longer, until they flopped down like a rabbits would. He winced as his horns began to break through his skin, the feeling itchy but surprisingly not too painful.
“Ah yes, I’d advise you not grow your horns all at once… the process can be quite uncomfortable,” the oni said with a sympathetic look.
Next his hands shifted into paws, while his nails became shape claws. He flexed them, getting an odd sense of satisfaction from retracting his claws in and out. His feet turned into cloven hooves, easily the weirdest transformation by far in his opinion. A long tail with a tuft of blonde fur at the end poked out of his pants.
Finally, black fur sprouted and grew to cover his entire body, all across his face and back and limbs. His hair became more fur-like as well, and spread until a large puff of blonde fur covered his entire torso.
Lloyd opened his eyes to see the oni grinning at him in delight. “Well done!” it cheered, “how do you feel?”
He stood up, shaky on his new hooves. “I’m… I’m… really furry…” he said, rubbing his paw against the thick fur around his neck.
The oni laughed. “Yes, that is one of the many differences between us and our evil brethren, we are much, much hairier.”
“Wait, I have so many questions,” Lloyd said, still examining his new body in amazement, “I thought all oni were destructive, and I thought the oni we fought were the only oni that existed, who are you guys?”
The oni opened its mouth to reply, but stopped. It backed away from Lloyd. “I’m sorry… we must go.”
“Wait, what?”
The oni surrounding them turned into shadow and slinked back into the darkness. Lloyd yelped and drew back as the oni’s form dissipated and floated away from him.
“No, wait, come back!” he yelled. His vision grew blurry as he tried to swipe at the cloud. “Don’t leave me!”
“Don’t fret youngling,” came the oni’s echoey voice from inside the cloud, “we will see each other again soon.”
The shadowy form disappeared, as did the rest of the world around him. He screamed as he was sent tumbling downwards, his consciousness slowly fading into black.
-
Lloyd awoke with a gasp. He sat up stiff straight in bed. The sun was shining in through the window, and he could hear chatter coming from outside the quarters. Everyone else must have already woken up.
He looked down at his hands. Normal human hands, check. He ran his hands through his hair. No horns, check. He threw his blankets off, letting them fall to the ground in a pile. No hooves, check.
He climbed out of bed with a yawn. He had to admit, he was disappointed that his transformation had just been a weirdly vivid dream. Though… not evil oni’s who were also kinda furries wasn’t a thing he ever imagined his subconscious would make up. So… maybe not just a dream.
He’d ask master Wu about it later. For now, he was craving for some breakfast.

Never Let You Go - Pt.1
*trumpets* For you delight, I hope, the promised first  complete part of the revisited version of what was originally written late for the InuKag Week. I tag @clearwillow and @hnnwnchstr for the support! *angst ahead* you are warned u.u . Good read^^
You can now find it on AO3 too!
She couldn't help the drop in her stomach when the ground started to crumble under her feet, making her feel helpless and desperate... She tried, with a final effort, to grab onto his suikan sleeve but it seemed already out of reach. A sudden roar made her blood ran cold and a chocked yell escaped her mouth:
“No!”
Kagome woke up startled, distressed, forehead covered in sweat, gasping for air. It was just a thunder. A thunder woke her up from a stupid nightmare. The rain, indeed, was pouring steadily on the wooden roof of the hut, reminding her where she actually was, that she was safe and there was nothing wrong except from that relentless shower, she thought, joking around.
The young miko-in-training, then, took a deep breath in order to calm down herself and, waiting for her sight to adjust completely to the gloom, streched out instictively a hand next to her but... there was something wrong. She find just the cold and empty sheet waiting for her. Right, Inuyasha wasn’t back home yet. Apparently, that nightmare just conveyed some rather uncomfortable vibe she couldn’t place right before falling asleep.   How much she would have wanted that those walls would be enough to reassure her, as a guarantee that her nighmare upsetting scenario wouldn’t be possible, but it wasn’t the case. She found herself alone. She was feeling alone. That realization made the raven haired girl curl up under the blankets of the half empty marital futon.
It was just that Kagome was experiencing trouble sleeping without the hanyou at her side and when she finally drifted off was usually a pretty agitated slumber, like the one she had just woken up from. Deprived from his warm body, she was feeling like she couldn’t actually loosen up and thus made her uneasiness  come to surface. Besides, the mattresses of that time didn’t really help either to relieve her tension, since they were essentially made of straw, still, despite all, there were always a part of the young miko from the future that reminded herself this was part of the package she had chosen. So, precisely because she was educated on the matter, Kagome shouldn’t nit-pick the situation. The point was that the outlook was substantially changed, knowing that there was no more alternative. There was no more jumping from one era to the other, to find a way to gloss over the fatigue that it implied, to find a balance between the two realities that, no matter how weird, would allow her to carry forward the responsabilities of both and find find refuge in one or the other when she was feeling the need to do it. No, now Kagome choose just one and the balance she needed to find was  solely in the aspects that should regulate her new life there.
The young woman pushed aside the blankets and seated on the futon, hugging her bended legs and placing her head on her knees. Of course she was not second guessing her decision because of those mundande things, she followed her heart and she never regretted it, but there were times when she was struggling more than what she had expected. She recalled the very first days when they spent every possible moment togheter, while she was hosted by the old Kaede, the young miko in training was feeling just like a teen-girl with her boyfriend, after all she was still eighteen. When Inuyasha picked her up after the lesson with the elderly one and took her away, feeling like flying, onto his warm back, was like he was picking her up from school and was the most natural thing of all, as if the three years that took them apart never existed, as they were resuming  exactly from where they were so abruplty got interrupted.
Everything encapsulated in that gesture thet, over time, embodied their wanting to be more close to one another and marked, because of that, the growth of their intimacy to the point where she didn’t even need her bike anymore; a feeling still easy to rekindle between them, like muscle memory. Echoed in her mind the remembrance of the kiss they shared on Goshinboku, where Inuyasha brought her sure that they wouldn't be bothered by anyone or the moment when he warmly whispered in her ear his marriage proposal, on a starry night, always up there. It was something the young miko didn't  even feel necessary, she was just happy to be with him, but the hanyou wanted to give her the demonstration he couldn't  bear to be parted from her never again and, so, she eagerly accepted, kissing him impetously, almost risking to fell off the brach. Moreover, in order to live togheter without  scandalize the villagers, still very fond of those traditions even if undeniable progresses were made concerning the newfound respect for him, the two had to put together some sort of wedding ceremony nonetheless.
Kagome lied down on her side once more and stared at the empty half of the marital futon, a sigh escaping her mouth. In those moments everything seemed so easy, like she couldn't feel the weight of anything, of the radical change she would have gone through, the one she she was experiencing right now and that was scaring her a bit. The raven haired girl was feeling the pressure to live up to her own expectations and she wasn't so sure that was actually happening. Her chocolate pools shifted on her wrist, enveloped in a strip of Inuyasha's red suikan that, just two weeks prior, wrapped their hands togheter while woving their union would be unbreakble like the Inezumi fabric itself...
In the fading light of the sunset, Inuyasha picked her up on his back and in blink they were gone, with no time to waste. Being so close to him, basking into his warmth, letting the fresh air fill her lungs.... Inuyasha was making it seem effortless. Kagome would do that forever and from now on they could. An uncontainable joy spread in her heart and the brand- new wife tightened even more her hold on her husband’s neck, so much that the hanyou protested:
“Ya’ll end up choking me...!“
“Oh, sorry.” she replied, not having actually noticed how much she had held more on her grip.
“Keh,” he snapped back, but she could almost hear the smirk in his voice.
Once they arrived to their new home, their hut, for the first time Inuyasha took again his bride into his strong arms, caughting her off guard:
“What are you doing...?!”
“In that weird box with pictures in ya house once I saw a guy bring his...wife like this sayin’ it’d bring’em luck.” he replied, blushing slightly.
Kagome chuckled softly, flattered by a such regard and still not very used to be called wife by her hanyou.
“So what are you waiting for, husband?” she playfully teased him with a loving smile.
“You never change. You are still the same annoying wench.”
“You know what they say, you take the whole package.”
With a fake displeased grunt, Inuyasha resolved to cross the threshold  and, once inside, he safely placed down his young miko from the future. They were finally all alone in their home. A gift from the villagers, actually, as a reward for defeating Naraku. Kagome closed the little gap between them, laying her hands on his toned chest wrapped in the Inezumi suikan. Her chocolate pools drowned in the warm amber irises of the hanyou, too lost in him. A shiver ran down her spine when Inuyasha removed with his clawed index a rebellious strand of her raven hair, lifting up her chin just a little more to meet his lips. Their gazes were locked in a spell she couldn’t break and in the state she was she wasn’t even able make a coherent thought that wasn’t about him.
“Inuyasha...”  was the only word the young wife could articulate, inches from his mouth.
“Kagome...” the husky tone in his voice was undeniable.
Then their lips melted eagerly. His fangs were too much a temptation to be left aside while their kiss intensified, making their tongue dance togheter in a restless craving for each other. Breathless and flushed from it they had to, reluctanly, part.
“I love you” Kagome confessed in a whisper. Was the first time she said it to him so clearly... it was just she felt the urge to tell him straight away.
“Gimme ya hand.” Inuyasha said, still more hoarse than usual, and took it with his calloused one without ceremonies. He placed it right upon his herrating beating heart adding:
“This beats for ya, thanks to ya”.
His honeyed eyes were so deep and sincere, making her feel overwhelmed with the meaningfullness of those words. With watery eyes Kagome raised on her tiptoes and stamped a little kiss on his lips.
“How do you feel about inaugurating our new hut...?” A devious light shined in her chocolate eyes, taking the place of the tears.
Her husband replied with devious grin as well, challenging her:
“Do ya feel ready for it...?”
“Shouldn’t I?”
The young wife took her hanyou by the hand and, walking backwards, she headed to their marital futon.
All of a sudden, Kagome saw Inuyasha change expression and moving his ears frantically, like to catch to something he wasn’t sure about.
“What’s up, Inuyasha?” she asked, all at one worried.
“Something’s wrong at the village. I gotta go.”
He left her hands abruptly and added:
“Stay here.” grabbed Tessaiga, which had remained near the entrance, and jumped outside.
“Inuyasha!” She yelled at her husband from the threshold.
A clap of thunder made Kagome drift from her thoughts and, so, she turned on her back, restless, her gaze wandering in the dark, while the rain was still pouring outside. That time was an oni who was menacing to destroy crops and he just couldn't let him have his way with it. Certainly, the young wife never expected or wished that their first night togheter turned that way, still what unsettled her the most was how she let the hanyou go alone. She couldn't do anything to stop him. Like he didn't even heard her. Like she was useless. Something kept feeling off after that. The days passed and the raven haired girl was still dancing around the subject, not being able to tell him about her fears, feeling detached from him, not being able to read him anymore. To know what was in his, now, husband heart. She couldn’t even call him out on that, like she did so frequently in the past, a potential quarrel just seemed so out of place. She didn’t know how to channel her uneasiness.
Kagome decided, abruptly, to get up from the marital futon and headed towards the bamboo door of the hut, lifting it up in order to look outside at the unrelentig shower. There were no more missions, were no more uncertainty about her fate, she was there to remain. To estabilish her life as an adult. Was that what she imagined for her...?

continued / @zankokukami, the vampire.
"Ya make it sound like 'm askin' fuh the fuckin' world or some shit."
It wasn't like he was asking for both the body and the blood that came with it. He could be greedy, but not that greedy--at least with this vampiric version of himself. They didn't have an agreement, but an understanding, the Oni thought. Handing over a freshly killed body after draining the blood was great--it meant that there was less work he needed to do in order to eat, but damnit if he didn't want to taste a bit of the blood himself from time to time.
Getting that sweet metallic nectar upon his tastebuds every time he bit into tender flesh was a treat all within it self, but with this guy, there was no fucking chance that it would ever happen.
Tumblr media
The Oni could only watch, envious of how deeply the vampire was drinking--and obviously enjoying it too, the bastard--but his gaze couldn't help but narrow in on the sight of that forked tongue swiping along bloodied lips and
and
fuck--
All he wanted, no, needed, was a little taste, and with that thought in mind, he couldn't help the way his own forked tongue briefly swiped along his own lips. It would be little more than a tease to be sure, that small amount splattered along the Vampire's teeth, lips, and tongue, but it would be so, so sweet.
He could already taste it.
The corpse was entirely forgotten, his body already moving and steadily closing the distance between Oni and Vampire 'til there was none.
The Vampire's words had fallen on death ears for the only thing the Oni wanted to accomplish in that moment was to get a taste of his mouth.
With one clawed hand succeeding grabbing hold of the back of the Vampire's neck firmly, securely, the Oni's tusks virtually disappeared--they'd be in the way, otherwise--just before blessed contact.

Your fingers wrapped around the car key in the ignition, slowly turning it and killing the engine. Leaning forwards, you took a closer look at the outside of the tattoo shop you arrived at. It looked clean and modern, white letters in a sharp font spelled out the shop name on the glass.
'HERO|INK'
Quirking a brow you couldn't tell if the owners were being clever and using a play on words for 'heroic' or if 'hero ink' was what they were going for. Either way, you shrugged your shoulders and figured it'd be a good topic for small talk during your tattoo session.
Before exiting your vehicle, your eyes scanned the road you were parked on to make sure no cars were coming. Seeing that it was safe, you wrapped your scarf tightly around your neck, nuzzled into your coat and opened the door, taking off into the freezing cold air. The chilly wind and fleeting snow made your eyes screw shut and bones rattle as you ran to the door of the shop.
Once inside you leaned back against the door, underneath it’s ringing bell that signaled your arrival and took a breath from the brief jog. The temperature inside the shop was extremely warm and cozy, making you hum while shaking off the snow flakes from your hair.
Looking around you were in awe at how well designed and laid out the shop was. You've been in plenty of tattoo shops with your past friends and lover, none of them were even close to how nice this place was. It was pristine, sharp and sleek. Art work was framed and hung from the walls, along with traditional Japanese oni masks. The floors were wood and shiny, the front counter was matte black. The tattoo stations were no where in sight, leading you to believe that they were in the back away from the public.
While looking around and unwrapping your scarf, quick footsteps could be heard from a walkway behind the counter. You looked and smiled when a black-haired male popped up, he gave you a triangular smile in return. He wore a black beanie and had his ears gauged. Black ink in a geometric design with a lotus covered his throat and went further down under the collar of his raglan shirt. Both of his arms were sleeved out, they seemed to have the same theme of geometric patterns along with bold sharp flowers. Looking further you noticed just how massive his elbows were, they were really awkward looking and unconsciously you made a not so cute face.
A warm chuckle made your eyes tear away from the mans elbows and you blushed with embarrassment.
"I – I'm so sorry for staring."
"Nah, it's normal I have weird elbows. It's just because of my quirk," he smiled.
Before you could ask what his quirk was, he bent one of his elbows and aimed it at you. Suddenly a ribbon of white shot out from it and wrapped around your waist. You gasped when the material retracted and pulled you closer to the front counter that he stood behind. You couldn't help but laugh from the demonstration and clapped when he released you and bowed.
"It's tape, comes in handy for a few things I guess. I'm Sero by the way."
You nodded and took the hand he held out for you to shake, "It looks practical, I'm (Y/N)."
Sero raised his eyebrows and went to the computer monitor at the end of the counter. He smiled and snapped his fingers before looking at you.
"You're here for an appointment,"  he replied and looked at the clock on the wall only to chuckle, "You're five minutes early, we usually never have customers arrive early."
"Yeah, I've never been late for anything in my life honestly, it's just a pet peeve of mine."
Sero breathed out a warm laugh and walked out from behind the counter, his arm motioning you over to a high table that sat against a wall. He pulled out the stool for you and couldn't help but offer his hand when he noticed that the seat was a little too high off the ground.
"Sorry, we usually have massive guys come in here. Rarely do we ever have many females."
You smiled and mentioned it wasn't a problem and thanked him for his help.
Sero took a seat next to you on the opposite stool after he grabbed a sketch pad and pencil from the counter. The two of you went over the idea you had in mind for your tattoo. As you explained the image, Sero's hand worked at sketching up a general idea of it. What you described was very minimalistic.
A plain ocean wave, curling in on itself, no shading involved just line work. You also added lyrics that curved around the wave perfectly. Once Sero finished he looked it over and smirked.
"It's simple and really easy, but I can tell you have a reason for this just from the lyrics. It's always nice to have someone come in wanting a piece that holds sentimental value behind it. It makes what we do that much more important."
You smiled and nodded but didn't care to elaborate any further on your meaning.
Sero nodded himself, quickly figuring out that you didn't want the topic to go any further, to which he was perfectly fine with. He briefly excused himself for a moment and disappeared back behind the counter. You waited silently and watched the busy street outside until Sero came back in a short amount of time and rubbed his hands together as he approached you.
"Alright, where are you wanting to put this?"
You blushed slightly and lifted your arm, placing your hand on the patch of skin on your ribs that started behind the cup of your bra.
"Here."
Sero raised a brow and nodded, "Okay, that's perfectly fine. You are prepared to remove your shirt and bra for it right? Also, your placement choice may be just a tad bit more painful than other spots."
Nodding, you lowered your arm. "I'm fine with all of that. Pain is of no issue, I have a healing quirk."
Sero chuckled and crossed his hands behind his head, "Well shit then, this should be a piece of cake for you! Your artist is finishing up on one of our guys right now, so we'll go ahead and get your paperwork done."
Quickly, he went to the computer behind the desk and printed up a few forms and jogged back over to you and placed them on the table with a pen. Clearing his throat he rubbed the side of his neck.
"You are older than 18 right? It's just something we have to ask."
You giggled, which seemed to reassure Sero, "Yeah, I'm 22 actually. I know, I don't really look it."
Sero agreed and went over the paperwork with you, it was just simple stuff such as you agreeing and consenting to the tattoo, accepting that a tattoo is indeed like an open wound and is susceptible to infections if not taken care of. The paper also asked that you inform them of any allergies to latex, ink, and other things that would come into contact with your skin. After filling out your paperwork, Sero gathered it and placed it in a file behind the counter and motioned you over behind it and to follow him down a hall.
There were three doors all on the same side, two were closed and one was open, the sounds of buzzing and low-volume music could be heard the closer you got.
"Hey Kiri, Denks, this is (Y/N)," Sero said as you both hung around the door frame.
You peeked in to see a yellow-haired male, he was shirtless and random tattoos littered his skin as he laid out on a tattoo chair with an arm wrapped around the back of it. One of his nipples were pierced and a ring with a lightning bolt charm hung from it. His golden eyes flickered up to you and they sparkled when he smiled wide and shifted in his chair.
"Goddammit Denki, stay still, I do have a needle to your skin!"
Tumblr media
A raspy voice caught your attention and made you look to the male who was hunched over with his back to you, tattooing Denki.
He wore a black muscle shirt; the sides ripped open all the way down to his waist and showcasing the hard-muscled body beneath the fabric. Both of his arms were covered in traditional Japanese tattoos and a thick black headband had his bright red spiky locks held back, not that they looked like they were going anywhere from how hard and sharp they were.
"Sorry, you know how excited I get when there's a pretty girl around," Denki teased and winked at you.
You couldn't help but blush and smile, only boosting the males ego even more.
Sero moved to stand by Denki and shook his head at the tattoo being placed on his rib cage. "Denki, I really don't understand you sometimes man."
You walked over to look for yourself and covered your mouth trying to hide a chuckle. For some reason this man was getting a tattoo of a hand making an upside down 'ok' symbol.
The red-head glanced at you from the side, deep red eyes looking at you for the first time and quirked a dark brow. You looked back with a smile only to have one of his eyes narrow before he went back to tattooing. You frowned and nervously rubbed your neck.
"Maybe he's just in the zone," you thought.
"So, to what do we owe the pleasure of having such an angelic face enter our shop," Denki asked, batting his exceptionally long lashes at you.
"You mean our shop," Sero corrected and flicked the golden boys forehead as he motioned from himself and Kiri.
He whined and stuck out a pierced tongue making you lightly chuckle and cross your arms while watching the red-head tattoo.
"Well obviously I'm getting a tattoo."
Sero snorted at your straight-forward answer and patted Denki's shoulder.
"Yeah, a tattoo that she's paying for, so hurry it up Red."
Kiri waved off his friend and mumbled incoherently as Sero walked out after giving your shoulder a squeeze and flashing you a reassuring smile. You smiled back and thanked him while removing your coat and sat down in one of the free chairs as you waited for your artist to finish.
You jumped when you caught Denki staring at you all starry eyed. Your brows knitted, a nervous chuckle rolling off your lips.
"You got a man cuteness?"
Kiri's eyes flashed from his task and to you for a brief second before looking back down and smirking. You suppressed the shiver that threatened to run down your spine from the look his piercing red eyes gave. Shaking it off you looked at Denki and shook your head.
"Uh – no. I just recently moved here actually, so I don't know anyone."
Denki excitedly shifted in his seat, digging something out of his pants and making the red-head growl at him. Suddenly, a phone was tossed your way, fortunately you had quick reflexes and caught the device, giving the yellow-haired man a look.
"You can know me, put your number in there, we should totally go out sometime, I'll make sure you have fun!"
You looked at the phone in your hands and hesitated from being put on the spot so quickly. "Uhh, I don't –"
"Just do it so he'll shut up and I can finish this," Kiri demanded with an annoyed voice.
Denki glared at his friend and pushed his shoulder with his palm, "Hey man what's up your ass!"
"Nothing, I just hate wasting time. I have other things I need to do after all of this shit."
You rolled your eyes, already getting sick of the sour attitude this guy was having so far. Without wasting anymore time you unlocked Denki's phone and went straight to entering your contact information.
He seemed pretty harmless and actually funny, so what would it hurt to make a new friend. Getting up from your seat, you walked over and handed the phone back to Denki with a smile.
Once turned around and walking back to your seat, both of the men stole quick glances before you turned back around to sit. Kiri cleared his throat when your (e/c) eyes looked at him and your tongue briefly wet your lips. You bit on the end of it as you quirked a brow at him. He raised his own eyebrow and subtly shook his head, going back to the tattoo.
Denki went to typing away on his phone, seconds later your own phone went off and you fished it out from your bag on the floor.
You opened it to a text from an unknown number that read, 'Just making sure you didn't give me a bogus number' .
Looking up at Denki, who was once again smiling at you made you quietly giggle. After saving his information you spent the next ten minutes browsing random apps to make the time go by. When the buzzing of the tattoo machine finally stopped you looked up to see Kiri place it on the tray next to him and sigh.
He wiped the ink clean with some tattoo soap and a napkin then nudged Denki's leg as if to say he was finished. Denki smiled and hopped off the chair and walked over to the mirror to check out his comical piece of ink. He turned to you and raised a brow. You were able to fully take in his other tattoos which were all literally random and had no cohesive theme to them. It was a mess really.
"What do you think cutie?"
You smiled and chuckled, brushing back a lock of hair. Unaware of the red eyes watching the small movement with interest.
"I have a feeling it really suits you."
Kiri yawned in the background and leaned his head to the side, cracking the bones in it and sighing. He stood from his stool and stretched his arms above his head, your eyes widened as you realized just how massive this guy was. There wasn't a single ounce of fat on him, everything was hard tattooed muscle. You swallowed harshly, admitting to yourself that he was definitely attractive, almost too attractive!
"So, virgin skin huh?"
Your eyes blinked and looked over to see Denki crouched down next to you, it made you jump a little and he chuckled.
"Excuse me," you asked with a smirk.
"I don't see any sort of marks on you, no other tattoos, not even any scars. Even people who live somewhat normal lives have some sort of scars, what are you like some princess that was sheltered from the world?"
Kiri shook his head and tossed an empty ink cup at Denki, "Why can't you mind your own business man."
You shook your head at both men and assured them it was okay.
"Uh – first off, no I'm not a princess. I've had my fair share of scrapes and scratches, but they don't last long because I have a healing quirk. It's not much but –"
"Shit really? So you could heal my tattoo like right now and I wouldn't have to wait two weeks to go swimming?"
You laughed and placed a hand on Denki's cheek, Kiri looked at you with a raised brow and narrowed his eyes, something foreign and totally fucking stupid bubbling up inside of him at the scene before him. Denki however was over the moon and grabbed your hand.
"You do know it's like freezing balls outside right, you can't go swimming!"
"Of course I can cutie, there are such a thing as indoor pools, hot springs!"
"Ah," you remembered and shook your head, "you have a point I guess. But yeah, I could heal you, its small enough."
Denki stood up eagerly and pulled up his shirt, giving you the side of him with the fresh tattoo. He kindly and desperately pleaded to see your quirk in action. It made you laugh, he was too cute for his own good.
With a smile, you placed a hand on his skin. Denki flinched slightly from the feel of your cold fingertips, you apologized softly, earning a bright smile from him.
Closing your eyes you took a deep breath and cleared your mind, a small buzzing at the back of your skull thrumming as your quirk activated. A dim glow illuminated under your hand quickly before disappearing.
Kiri watched on closely as he set up fresh tools, his machine and ink for your tattoo. When you pulled your hand away Denki looked down and felt at the patch of skin. It was no longer warm and raised, it felt as if the tattoo had been healed for months.
"Damn sweetheart, you know you'd come in handy around here," Denki complimented with a devious look in his friends direction.
Kiri glared at the golden boy as if he had said something out of line. Denki cleared his throat and lowered his shirt back down but you smiled at him and he instantly perked back up.
"Well, I should be heading off and letting you get to it Red, thanks again. I'll be back later tonight," Denki walked over and gave his friend a half-hug and grabbed his coat from a hook on the wall.
He sauntered over to you, taking your hand in his and bringing it to his lips to place a kiss to it. You couldn't help but laugh at how unashamed he was, you were really starting to like this guy.
"It was such a pleasure to meet you gorgeous, this definitely won't be our last time seeing each other. I'll hit you up later, maybe we can go for a bite to eat sometime."
You nodded and waved as Denki made his way out of the room.
The moment he was gone the atmosphere suddenly lost all of it's lightheartedness and you were now alone with the not so charming red-head.
You looked to see him standing at the small desk that sat in a corner of the room, the sound of a printer could be heard and his muscular fingers took the sheet that exited from the machine. His free hand scratched at the back of his neck, body turning around and walking back to the tattoo chair to place the sheet on the leather of it.
He smirked and looked at you finally where you stood there almost glaring at each other.
"Alright little one, strip."

“Y/N, can I ask you a question without making you mad?”
“I don’t know Josh, you’ll have to ask me the question first”
“Why are you still wearing that?”
I look down at my clothes and laugh.
“I forgot,” I look at my reflection on the closest glass and examine the torn shirt that covers my body.
“So it wasn’t a fashion statement?” Asks Josh with a smirk.
“Sadly no,” I stand up and stretch my arms, yawning, “I think it’s time I get a new outfit.”
“You’re finally changing your resident evil cosplay?” Wesley walks by me, eyeing me up, Josh laughs.
“Don’t be mean,” I stick out my tongue, “I’d rock a resident evil cosplay”
“I don’t doubt it,” He raises his hands, “go nuts”
Wesley points towards the stores and I happily comply.
“You want us to go with you?” Josh raises his voice, following me with his eyes.
“I’ll be fine, you guys stay”
As I’m walking away I hear Wesley talking to Josh.
“We should practice our sword skills”
“Dude, yes!” Josh answers.
I chuckle lowly and head straight into my favorite store.
It’s been a while since I got new clothes for myself; being alone is okay I guess, but it’s nice to be able to calmly pick an outfit without worrying about being attacked.
I also get to pick something that will match my skates no matter what. You know when you have a specific favorite outfit that you wanna wear all the time but is not socially acceptable to do so cause then people will think you don’t shower? Well, now those rules don’t apply anymore cause everyone wears the same clothes all the time and it’s a known fact that we don’t shower.
With that in mind, I pick the stuff that makes me the happiest and put them on. When I look in the mirror I feel amazing, and I take it as a sign that I have finally found my outfit.
“Y/N, we prepared a whole obstacle course, come see it!”
“You wanna see my new outfit?” I ask excitedly from the changing rooms.
“Sure!” Josh replies, walking in, “Where are you?”
“Turn around and I’ll come out!” I drag the curtain and walk out towards him, I’m pleased to see he followed my instructions and is facing the entrance, “You can look now!”
He turns around and I show my outfit with my arms extended.
“So?”
“That’s a... are those short overalls?” He examines them carefully.
“Yes!” I smile wildly, “and a lime-green shirt. With fun socks,” I raise my eyebrows, “get it? so I can match the skates you gave me”
“That’s, uh...”
“You don’t like it,” I lowered my arms, frowning, “Why?”
“It’s not that!” He quickly counters, “it’s just... well, your arms and legs are exposed and we live surrounded by things that bite.”
“Yes, but I have a hammer,” I say sternly.
Josh stares at me.
“A hammer won’t protect you from a horde.”
“Fair,” I agree, “but it’s not just my hammer. I have two samurais on my side, right? Either way, Ghoulie bites aren’t that dangerous.”
“They are if they rip your arms off”
“You’re exaggerating. I’ll be fine,” I walk past him, “you gonna train with Wesley or no?”
“Yeah but-”
“Hey, are you guys coming or what?” Wesley screams from the main hall.
“Going!” I scream back.
I found a bunch of tables with a small piñata, a watermelon and god knows what else spread around the place in order to make training harder. Wesley lets out an exclamation of approval when he sees me.
“Now, that’s a hundred percent Y/N-brand. You look good, girl!”
“Thanks! I feel good,” I smile at him, then look over at Josh, “See? Wesley gets it”
“I never said I didn’t like it...” He grumbles.
“We can talk about our fashion sense later. First, we train,” Demands our friend.
“Who’s first?” I ask, leaning against a column far from the obstacle course.
“Let me show you how real warriors do it...”
Josh and I look at each other wondering what will Wesley do to try to impress us. When he kneels on the floor and bows to his sword, we have to look away so we don’t start laughing.
But don’t worry, our laughter dies as soon as he does the wildest moves ever, totally not humiliating us in every possible way.
When he fixes his posture and takes off his mask, he vaguely points towards the mess and then to Josh.
“So, clean this shit up and, uh, your turn,” He smiles.
“What?” Josh asks in pure outraged. I laugh and he looks at me with a bitter smile, “oh, don’t get so amused. You’re helping me.”
“What?” Now is my time to be scandalized, “Why?”
He shows me his injured hand and smirks.
“Cause I'm a disabled person in recovery.”
“I’m pretty sure that’s not how this works,” I frown, “but I’ll help you anyway, cause I don’t want you to cut another of your little fingers by accident”
“How nice of you,” He mocks.
It takes us about ten minutes to replace and arrange everything. When we’re done I sit next Wesley, arms crossed and a knowing smile on my face.
“Just do your best, Wheeler. Try not to fall over innocent people, please.”
“Very funny, L/N,” Josh sneers.
When it’s his turn to train, Josh does... his best. I managed to remain silent for most of it until he hits the mannequin and the only thing he cuts it’s the finger.
“Oh my god,” I cover my mouth and stifle most of my laughter. Wesley stands up and looks at the result.
“Wow, that is... ironic.”
“It’s...” I say between laughs, “it’s so sad...”
“Dude, I’m a terrible swordsman. Especially with only one good hand,” Josh replies.
“You are in good company,” Wesley retorts in an attempt to calm him down, “Skywalker, Furiosa... Jaime Lannister, if you can get past the child-killing, incest, rape.”
“Meh,” I squint my eyes, “I think you should stick to Skywalker.”
Wesley shakes his head and mouths something that looks like ‘not now’, so I stay silent as he continues his speech.
“Hands gives us identity. Chefs cut, artist paint, warriors... warrior.”
That’s definitely not how you call it, but uh, that’s not the point, right?
“All good Jedi lose a hand.”
“I couldn’t even get that right!” Josh replies with annoyance, holding his hand up.
He leans against the column and falls slowly to the ground, it’s quite a miserable sight. I stand up and walk over to sit next Josh, I pat his back softly as a way of comfort.
“You know what I love about right now?” Asks Wesley, “we are free. We can do anything!”
Josh looks at me and I know he’s thinking about the story I told him yesterday.
“I couldn’t pull off those pants,” He offers, discretely changing the subject, “you and Y/N could wear anything and still look good. I can’t, so I’m not that free.”
Wesley looks down at his clothes.
“No. No, you cannot. But is not about having cool shit, it’s about being cool as shit,” He slowly makes his way to us, “you define yourself. Who are you?”
This is getting real way too fast.
Who am I? Besides the weirdo with a fixation for the lime-green. I told you this before, there’s a reason why I never joined any tribe. I clearly don’t have a thing. If I don’t have a thing, then why am I still here? What am I supposed to be doing?
“I’m oni samurai, when I get done with my quest and find redemption, they will write songs about me.”
“Who?” I ask, bewildered, “the fairies in your head?”
Josh stands up suddenly, getting face to face with Wesley.
“Look, I couldn’t save Sam’s life. I have to avenge her death,” I stand up as well, hearing attentively, “those scratches on her body were made with a butcher’s knife. I’ve only seen one douche with a weapon like that.”
And before he says it, I already know what he’s planning to do.
“I’m gonna kill Baron Triumph,” He leans over and speaks on Wesley’s ear, “I’m gonna kill Jayden Hoyles.”
Oh, poor stupid, love-sick Josh.
I know, judging by Wesley’s face, that this took an unexpected turn for him. For me? Well, I can’t say I knew exactly what Josh had in mind, but I figured he wouldn’t just stay here and cry for the rest of his life. He’s got hero-complex. Which, unfortunately, is gonna get him killed.
But it’s good to know that I’m not the only one looking for redemption now, whatever it was Wesley did and Josh’s burden are now on the line. Maybe that could be our thing? The tribe of regrets. The redemption circle. The I-can’t-stop-fucking-things-up club. No? Meh, I’ll find the right name eventually.
I follow Josh towards one of the stores. He’s in a bad mood.
“Josh-”
“Don’t try to talk me out of it,” He interrupts me, “I need to do this.”
“I wasn’t going to stop you,” I reply.
“You weren’t?” He stops, turning completely this time, “Why?”
“You want me to stop you?” I raise a brow, “Cause I can do that too if you want.”
“No, I mean... I don’t know, I thought you’d be upset about this. See it as a way of holding on to something that won’t bring anything good.”
“I do think that you’re closer to get killed with this plan and I do believe that killing Hoyles won’t make you feel better. The difference is that I don’t follow any samurai rules, so I don’t think it’ll bring you bad karma or whatever. It’s your life, you decide.”
“Okay,” He has an odd expression. I can’t tell if he’s suspicious or curious, either way, it makes me feel nervous, “then you could help me?”
“To kill him?” I tense, “What, just because I killed once it means I can do it again?”
“No,” He rolls his eyes, “I’ve killed Ghoulies too, and I don’t judge you for what happened with your sister. You did what you had to do.”
“So..?”
“I was going to ask if you could help me find a new weapon... or hand”
“What?” I giggle, then I see him ready to get all defensive and I stop, “Sorry, what do you have in mind?”
And he pulls a list out of his pocket, like the dork he is.
“I have a few ideas...”
“We can try them,” I nod, “I’ll put on my skates so I can help you get the stuff faster.”
“Sure, I’ll be here, analyzing my list,” He lowers his eyes towards the paper, excitedly reading all he wrote.
I snort, walking away.
“You’re too cute, Wheeler.”
Oh fuck. Oh fuck. I said that out loud, didn’t I?
Well, now I can’t turn around to see if he heard me, god I hope he didn’t. If he did that means he’ll start to get suspicious and I don’t wanna ruin another friendship. Besides, I don’t like Josh that way. I don’t.
We’re friends. I just gained a friend (several, actually), I won’t ruin it just cause I think he has pretty eyes. I told Angelica that I won’t be playing her games and I’m too stubborn to admit she may have a point. Also, am I forgetting that Sam just died? This isn’t exactly what I would call perfect timing.
Josh is focused on his work when I go back and I’m too nervous to talk to him, still thinking about how he might have heard my not so subtle compliment.
What is wrong with me? I never had this issue with Alex, he was easy. I mean, we also knew each other since we were six so I guess that’d have influenced the way I perceived my behavior around him.
“Y/N?”
“Huh, yes?” I jump, “sorry, what did you say?”
“You spaced out,” He says with a small smile, “you didn’t listen a thing did you?”
“No,” I give him an awkward smile, “I got lost in my own head. I’m here now though, tell me what you need.”
“What do you think?” He points to every item on the table, “You see something that fits my... uh, whatever Wesley said I should have?”
I slide closer, examining all the stuff.
“You understood what Wesley was saying?”
“Yes... no. I don’t know. I get that he’s trying to convince me that life can be better without revenge, I guess?”
“Don’t ask me, I don’t know what he was trying to say,” I mumble, “all I know is that I have no clue of who I am. The apocalypse kind of fucked up my identity.”
“Well, who were you before?” He steps closer, carefully grabbing the glove with blades and trying it on.
“The artsy girl, according to my friend Maya,” I reply, a bit self-conscious, “I wasn’t that good if I’m honest but you know, if my friends ever needed to draw something for their projects or if they were looking for some new not-so-famous band to listen to, they’d give me a call.”
“So you were the ‘not-like-the-other-girls’ girl?” He smirks.
“Ugh, that is misconceiving,” I scoff, “every girl is their own person, we’re all the same. Just like the guys, and humans in general. We just have different likings, I really liked all kinds of art before, that’s all”
“Okay,” He takes a minute to think about it, “you’re right, there’s no tribe for that.”
“And it’s not like I could use my drawings to defend myself,” I grin.
“Well, the disciples of the Kardashian aren’t exactly trained warriors.”
“Maybe,” I help him take off the glove, “but there’s more than one, they share one specific trait. The jocks protect them of course, they don’t need to know how to defend themselves, I do. I have no one.”
“You have me now,” He replies promptly, “Uh, I mean us. You have us. We can protect you and you can go back to being the artsy girl.”
“To be honest, going back to that would be dull,” I squint, “I know I said I wanted my old life but that’d only work in the old world. I can’t be who I was, so I have to find a way to be a new version of myself, meaning I’ll have to use my creative instincts in something else.”
“We’ll figure it out,” Josh answers, grabbing a knife and weighing it, “your thing and mine. We have time.”
“That, if you survive to Hoyles,” I say subtly, “cause if not then we don’t have time at all. Or... if you wait a bit longer before going after Triumph, maybe we’ll have it...”
“Ah, there it is,” Josh has a smug smile when he leans towards me, “that is how you’re trying to convince me about not doing this?”
“Is it working?” I get closer as well, grinning.
“Almost,” He sighs, “but not enough, I’m still going. The only thing that could stop me from going is if I don’t find something to help me with my bad hand, which seems more likely than not.”
“I tried my best,” My foot accidentally kicks a mannequin’s hand and something comes to my mind, “hey, we have one more item (not listed) that you can try on for your new look. Who knows? Maybe it’ll bring you good luck.”
“What is it?” He curiously looks around the table.
“Here,” I pick up the hand and show it to him.
“Y/N,” He gives me a stern look, “tell me you’re joking.”
“What? We don't have functional prosthetics laying around, that is the closest thing you can get,” I put a hand on my hip, “you know is your best choice. You’ll get used to it. Adapt and survive, man.”
“Fine,” He sighs, “but I’m not obligated to use it if I don’t like how it looks.”
“Sure,” I agree, “it’s your body.”
I sit next to the table while he goes to a changing room. I hear him break the hand and I hope he didn’t screw up the fingers. Not that we can’t get more if that’s the case, but you know, time is not something we have to spare.
Wesley enters and sees the bunch of weird things we’ve come up with.
“Okay,” He nods, “yeah, hell yeah! This is what I’m talking about, brother! You define yourself. Come out here and show me your new killer digits.”
Josh pulls the curtain and walks out from the changing room with the white, plastic finger tied to his hand. Wesley and I laugh.
“Nice figure, Kim Cattrall,” He notices neither Josh or I get the joke, and he continues, “because she was a mannequin.”
We stay quiet.
“In the movie mannequin?” I shake my head without saying a word, “about a mannequin who comes to life? They made a sequel with Kristy Swanson, the orig Buffy the vampire slayer...”
Josh walks out of the store, showing Wesley his middle finger.
“I can’t tell if that means he liked it,” I mention, standing up next to Wesley, “but I take that he won’t waste more time on this?”
“Okay,” Wesley sighs, “let’s go hunt Baron Triumph.”
The sound my skates make against the gravel is like music to my ears. I had missed this, the outside. As dangerous as it is, it gives me the liberty that no safe haven ever could. I know these streets like the back of my hand, I got this.
Maybe I enjoy myself a bit too much, skating around and humming an old song I haven’t heard in a while when I realize Josh is staring. I immediately stop what I’m doing.
“Sorry, I should be quiet,” I look away, limiting myself to just skate beside my friends.
“No, it’s okay,” He says, “I wasn’t- I was staring but I... it seemed like you were enjoying yourself.”
“I shouldn’t,” I reply, “this is not a fun trip, I’ll stop.”
“I...” Josh is about to say something when Wesley speaks up.
“Hey, look at this!” He picks up something from the street, “second left molar, nice craftsmanship on the porcelain ceramic filling...”
“Your dad taught you a lot,” says Josh.
“A thing or two.”
“It was knocked off by Triumph.”
Wesley turns around and looks at Josh with a sly smile.
“You don’t know that.”
“I only know one dude in school with a size fourteen shoe... cause I licked it.”
We look down at the mud and see the footprint that Josh is pointing to us.
“Hoyles,” whispers Wesley.
“He went east, toward San Fernando,” Mentions Josh.
“You’re like a Canadian Wolverine,” Replies Wesley in amazement.
“More like Deadpool,” I correct, “’cause the katana..?”
“Wolverine is a Canadian Wolverine,” Josh shakes his head, “can we focus right now? Look, I hunted elk every summer...”
He starts to walk away, but Wesley keeps talking.
“Your dad taught you a lot.”
Josh stops only to answer.
“A thing or two,” He smirks.
“You can track. But you can’t fight.”
“Here we go,” I roll my eyes, moving away from their discussion to look for more clues.
I don’t pay much attention to what they’re saying while I turn my back to them and analyze the footprint. Josh is right, it’s heading towards the industrial section. I know the old Hoyles’ cereal fabric is there, maybe we should take a look and see what we find...
“Run!” I turn around abruptly, raising the hammer above my head. I see Wesley sprinting towards the other side of the street, Josh gives me one panicky look before looking behind us in confusion.
“What?”
“Run!”
“Okay!” Josh runs after him with me close behind them.
We run around town like maniacs, I have the hammer ready but I don’t actually see any danger, so my fear isn’t growing but I’m not calm either. At some point, a couple of Ghoulies start to chase Josh and for some reason Wesley doesn’t let me help him. We wait until Josh gets rid of them and we go back to the running. My skates are going fast, soon enough I leave them behind and I hear Wesley scream:
“Get under the car!”
I stop harshly and skid without being able to control my movements. I trip falling on one knee and my legs and arms get a few scratches. My hammer flies like four feet away from me.
“Y/N!” Josh tries to go over to me but Wesley grabs his ankle, already under the vehicle.
“They’re coming!”
“Dude, I don’t see anybody!” He complains, obeying against his own will.
In the few seconds that takes me to stand up again, Wesley and Josh are already getting out from under the car.
“Let’s go! Go! Go! Go!”
“Wes, I’mma smash your knees with my- Where’s my hammer?” I look around frantically until Josh touches my shoulder lightly.
“Here,” He gives me the tool and I thank him silently, rushing over so we catch up with Wes.
“Wesley!” I scream after spending five more minutes running, “Stop! I think I hurt my knee when I fell, shit...”
Josh stops immediately after hearing what I said and looks over my shoulder, frowning.
“Dude,” He stops Wesley, “what the hell? Dude, there’s nobody after us. And now Y/N got hurt, look at her knee!”
I look down and I yelp at the sight. My knee is bleeding, swollen, and one of my hands is pulsating in a way that makes me think I might not be fine to continue.
“I think I can fix it,” I groan, gently touching my scratches.
“I had the Baron’s trail and now I’m all lost. Why did you do that?” Josh inquires.
Wesley seems to struggle to find a proper answer when we hear the engine of a car coming closer. Soon the golf team appears, annoying as ever.
“Great,” I grab the hammer from beside me and prepare to fight.
“Remember us, just Josh?”
“I remember there being more of you,” He retorts.
“We’re downsizing”
“Yeah, but not by choice, by circumstance.”
“The circumstance being death.”
“We’re currently taking applications for new membership.”
“Oh,” Replies Josh, “not interested.”
“Not talking to you,” complains Barry, “we’ll deal with you next. Hi, Y/N!”
“Hi, Barry,” I sigh tiredly, “how’s your wrist?”
I know them, of course. The golf team was like the lowest of them all, they weren’t so bad, only terribly stupid. During my time with the Jocks, I did some stuff for them as well, small things like collecting their balls and keeping their golf sticks clean and ready to use... I hate talking about golf cause it always sounds like I’m talking about sex.
“Better, thank you. I see you got a bad knee, I can get you an ointment for that.”
“No thanks, I’ll manage”
“What say you Fists?”
“You ready to come home?” Asks the other... is it Larry? They all have similar names, I can’t bring myself to remember, “listen to fate: Gary, Larry, Barry... Wesley”
“It doesn’t fit the line,” mumbles Barry.
“There’s a ‘y’ at the end” He replies.
“Meh, it’s kind of a stretch,” adds... Gary? I’m pretty sure it’s Gary.
“Close enough for Armageddon. Three is not a team, four can play spades.”
“Just because you have balls, doesn’t make golf a sport.”
It is, though. But I won’t say that right now.
“Gotta start somewhere to earn your way back into his good graces...”
A second car appears, this time on the other side. We’re face to face with Turbo. My wrist is killing me but I lift the hammer again, this time looking at the other side of the alley.
“Not gonna lie,” I say, “I’m starting to regret this”
“Tell me about it,” Whispers Wesley.
Turbo steps out of the car and growls. He does that a lot. As a matter of fact, it’s the only thing he does now. Wesley understands perfectly so he translates all that into a petition to fight to the death, only Josh and him, no weapons.
“You got all that from a look?”
“I speak Turbo.”
“What did I even do?” Asks Josh.
“Besides making all the wrong choices?” I ask.
“He said he doesn’t like to lose.”
“This isn’t Mario Kart! You tried to capture us, we got away”
“Wait, that was all?” I frown, “Turbo is chasing you because you won in a tag-you’re-it game?”
“He’s sensitive about this stuff,” explains Wesley.
“More like a fucking baby,” I reply.
Turbo grunts. Josh steps forward.
“Who cares?! God, this is... there is no your side or my side. Hoyles is out there trying to kill all sides. He’s killed out friends...”
“I’ll be your friend!” A small, mechanical voice replies behind us, “I love you. Let’s be besties!”
“What the fuck...” I mutter.
Larry picks it up and says he knows those bears, something tells me he’s in danger.
“That’s pretty. Put it down,” I urge him.
“They had their names stitched on their butts. What’s your name, guy?”
“I’m pretty sure he can’t answer that,” I insist, “Wesley that’s not a good sign, we need to leave.”
He nods and opens his mouth, but when Larry turns the bear around something catches our eye.
“Larry put the bear down!”
The explosion makes us fly and fall hard on the ground, disoriented and stunned. I hear screams and rushed steps around us, I open my eyes with difficulty and I see Josh’s body a few feet away from mine.
All I do before passing out is watch as the figure of Baron Triumph walks out of the dusty cloud.
Taglist.

A new family (Fluff)
Intro; Kaneki remembers everything, but he is still a member of the CCG and mentor of the Quinx. When he runs into Ayato and they catch up; Ayato must come to terms with Kaneki being a parent to a group of one eyed ghouls.
Ayato sighed as he walked down the almost empty side walk, Hinami was by his side; chatting aimlessly to him, although the majority of it went unheard by him. The two were on their way to the shops; Hinami had quite literally dragged Ayato with her despite him complaining. "But then Touka was like- Ayato-Kun!" Hinami yelled out; snapping her fingers in front of the male's face to get his attention, "huh? What were you saying?" Ayato asked looking over at the pouting face of Hinami. "pay attention, I was telling you about how Tou- Hey!" She started but she cut herself off with a yelp as she was suddenly shoved into Ayato's side as two people ran forward.
Ayato quickly manoeuvred himself to catch Hinami before she could fall to the floor, "what a bunch of meanies." Hinami huffed out as she stood up straight; straightening out her dress. "thank you Ayato-kun" Hinami giggled; smiling up at her saviour, as Ayato opened his mouth to reply, another voice suddenly tuned in. "I'm sorry!" A person from behind called out; causing them to turn around and face the person who did. Ayato and Hinami both immediately tensed up at the sight of the pair; mostly so from the man on the right that had also noticeably tensed up when they locked eyes. Once realising who it was; Ayato clutched his fists together and turned his head off to the side to hide his face. "Ka-" Hinami started to say but the man on the left cut her off.
"I'm sorry. Urie and Shirazu have no manners." The greened haired male quickly apologised; bowing in advance. "Uh, it's alright. You don't need to apologise sir." Hinami awkwardly replied, giving a small bow of her own. As Hinami interacted with the green haired male, Ayato continued to stare off at the side, frowning at nothing in particular, clutching and unclutching his fists. "Ayato-kun." Haise breathlessly called out; a smile fixing itself onto his face, Ayato's eyes widened considerably at the call of his name. "K-Kaneki?" Ayato whispered in a shaky tone as he turned to face the dark haired male; peaking through his hair shyly.
Haise smiled warmly at the younger male before taking long fast strides towards him, "huh?" Ayato muttered as he watched Haise walk towards him, he yelped out as he was abruptly pulled into a tight hug. "O-Oi!" Ayato yelled as he felt Haises arm snake around his waist; pulling him as close as possible, blood rushed to his face as he felt Haise bury his face into his neck. "Kaneki.." Ayato whispered as he wrapped his arms around Haise's neck, pulling lightly onto his black locks.
Haise sighed against the nape of Ayato's neck in relaxation. His arms squeezing Ayato's waist tighter, Ayato in return hugging his neck tighter, the two craving each other's comfort. "Huh? Sensei? Do you know him?" The green haired male asked as he looked from Hinami to his mentor, a look a surprise written on his face as he saw how close they two were. "Yeah..i do." Haise replied as he nuzzled his face into Ayato's neck, "G-Get off me a-asshole." Ayato complained; starting to wiggle in the tight hold he was in, as embarrassment started to kick in.
Haise chuckled as he pulled back at the command; he smiled fondly down at the flustered expression Ayato was wearing which triggered the younger to scoff and look off to the side to cover his red face. Haise chuckled before turning to look over at Hinami; who was watching him with an confused expression. "Hello Hinami-chan, it's been a while, hasn't it?" Haise chuckled as he moved to stand in front of the younger girl. "Oni-chan?" Hinami called out as Haise circled his arms around her waist, "hi." Haise chuckled, Hinami wasted no time and immediately embraced the older male back.
The green haired male cleared his throat awkwardly as the two broke apart, "Im sorry Mutsuki-kun." Haise lowly chuckled as he turned to face the male with an apologetic smile. "Um who are they Sensei? I've never seen them around CCG headquarters before" Mutsuki asked; eyeing the pair suspiciously, "They are...family." Haise chuckled, nervously scratching his check as he did, "oh. Okay." Mutsuki replied; it was obvious that he wanted to ask more about it but decided not too.
"Actually.." Haise started as he stepped back to stand by Mutsuki's side, "We were just on our way to get coffee, would you like to join us?" Haise offered with a gentle smile as he looked between the two hopefully. "Yeah sure whatever." Ayato grumbled in reply whilst Hinami nodded her head excitedly. "Perfect!" Haise grinned before turning to look over at Mutsuki "Are you okay with this Mutsuki-Kun?" Haise asked; placing a hand on his shoulder comfortingly.
"Yeah this is okay, Sensei." Mutsuki shyly replied; smiling up at Haise nervously, Haise chuckled and ruffled up his hair, "I'm glad. But tell me if you want to go home okay?" He asked as he walked over to Ayato's side. "Yeah I will." Mutsuki replied rubbing the tips of his fingers together nervously. Haise looked down at Ayato's inviting hand and grabbed it; squeezing it tightly, "tch." Ayato spat. "Did I give you permission to touch me?" The younger hissed which caused a grin to break out on Haise's face, "Yes." He chuckled in reply as he started to walk off; pulling Ayato with him."Whatever.." Ayato mumbled as he looked away from the smiling Haise in favour of a nearby tree.
"Come on Mutsuki! Lets go!" Hinami exclaimed as she walked over to the nervous male, linking her arm through his; so they could walk together. "My name is Hinami!" Hinami cheerily introduced herself with a friendly smile; Mutsuki looked over and gave a shy smile in return "Im Mutsuki." He replied, Hinami giggled, her smile widening.
"Ayato-Kun?" Haise called out; grabbing the younger's immediate attention, "what do you want?" Ayato grumbled looking up at the older with a scowl on his face. "I really need to-" Haise started but a loud crash caught his attention, looking over he groaned loudly "Urie! Shirazu! Stop fighting in the middle of the walkway!" Haise yelled out causing the two males heads to pop up at the sound. "But Sasan! Urie started it!!" The orange haired male that was currently being pinned down to the floor and kicking frantically at the dark haired male that was pinning him yelled back.
Mutsuki who could see the interaction covered his face with his free hand, "Are they always like this?" Hinami whispered in his ear as the two continued to wrestle. "Yes." Mutsuki replied miserably.
"I don't care who started it! Get back here now before either of you get hurt!" Haise replied; watching the two as they finally got off each other and came back over to join the group. Ayato scoffed loudly, "You're like a parent now." He teased, Haise chuckled and rubbed the back of neck nervously "Yeah I suppose I am, arent i?" Haise replied; an loving smile taking place on his face from the thought. "Yeah." Ayato mumbled 'you've changed so much Kaneki.' He thought as he watched Haise's facial expression turn to a stern parental one as the two males stood in front of them.
"You two be on your best behaviour we have people joining us today." Haise ordered, gesturing to Ayato and Hinami, they both nodded and walked off to Mutsuki's side as they started walking again. "Tch. Yeah you're definitely a parent." Ayato commented, Haise grinned down at him and winked; even something as small as that had Ayato's heart fluttering.
~
The group walked down the streets, Ayato and Haise hand in hand as they chatted; well Haise rambling about anything and everything, Ayato listening despite looking like he wasn't. Mutsuki, Hinami and Shirazu were all talking and walking together, Shirazu unsuccessfully trying to flirt with Hinami as they did. Which left Urie; who was walking by himself with his earbuds in. As they reached their destination, Haise smiled excitedly down at Ayato "come on, they have pretty good coffee here, I want you to have some with me Ayato~" Haise exclaimed as he guided Ayato and himself to the back of the shop so they were alone. But of course the group followed them and sat close by so they couldn't really be alone per say.
"They're annoying." Ayato growled; frowning at the noisy group beside him, Haise chuckled at his side "I'm sorry about them, they tend to follow me a lot." Haise commented between chuckles, "Nah it's fine or whatever." Ayato replied, relaxing into chair. "So uh dumbass" the younger started, Haise looked over with a cute tilt of his head; urging Ayato to finish his sentence. "How did ya get stuck with a bunch of kids?" Ayato asked; nodding his head in the direction of said people.
"Oh, um." Haise said clearing his throat before continuing "after everything that happened with Arima, he made me a mentor to these kids, so I could teach and look after them." Haise replied, looking over at the group fondly. "They smell weird." Ayato grumbled which triggered Haise to burst out laughing, Shirazu who had overheard Ayato's commented frowned "I don't!" He yelled back, Ayato in return just rolled his eyes and raised his middle finger at him "You do so shut up." Ayato said which caused Shirazu to huff and fold his arms like a child would.
"You haven't changed at all Ayato-Kun." Haise managed out between chuckles, Ayato lowered his gaze 'I wish I could say the about you, idiot.' He thought subconsciously squeezing Haise's hand as he did. Haise giggled and pecked his cheek before looking down at the menu that sat in front of them. "What would you like to drink Ayato? You like Black coffee right?" Haise asked; pulling Ayato out from his thoughts, as he looked over at the older a small smile couldn't help but pop up. "Yeah." He replied, his smile widening that Kaneki had remembered.

Neighbours AU part 3  Apologies
Lucas is a young, exhausted musician who just tries to relax, while Eliott is the overexcited, dubstep loving artist who lives next door.
Aka Lucas confronts his annoying neighbour who turns out to be gorgeous
Part 1, Part 2
Tuesday 16:34
Two days passed since Sunday and Lucas was still not over Eliott. He had high hopes and for that he got hit hard by the ground. He was glad, that his neighbour didn’t try to contact him since or that he haven’t seen him. It would be hard to sand face to face, knowing that he has a girlfriend, knowing that Lucas had false expectations from him. Everything was just a mess right now, he couldn’t touch the piano ever since.
His phone started buzzing like crazy on the coffee table, he was laying on the couch, his right leg touching the floor. He reached for his phone and picked up the call.
“Hello.” he mumbled. His voice was a bit cracked, not from crying, that would be a stupid thing to do, but because he just got home from work and was talking all day.
“Dude! Hey!” Basile screamed from the other side, Lucas had to keep the phone away from his ear in order to not go deaf.
“Basile... What do you want?” he asked with a tired voice, he was really not in the mood to listen to his friend’s bullshit.
“Listen here, there’s gonna be a big party tomorrow night. Yann said you’re not working on Thursday, so you should come too.” he said with a lot of excitement in his voice. “It’s gonna be fun.”
“Bas, you know that I hate going to parties.”
“You can’t just sit at home and snuggle on the couch, crying after some guy.” he said now seriously, this was unusual from Basile. “That guy doesn’t deserve you.” Lucas smiled a little hearing his silly friend being so nice to him.
“Okay, I’ll go.” he said.
“YES! Okay, we’ll be meeting at Yann’s tomorrow around 19:00, okay? We’re gonna get so wasted!” he said excitedly, speaking so fast, Lucas barely catched the time. Then Basile just hung up.
Lucas put his phone back to the coffee table and looked at the ceiling. Maybe it wasn’t a bad idea to go to a party. He haven’t been in any since high school, but hanging out with the gang was always a lot of fun. Besides, he has to forget Eliott, since he’s a lost case anyways.
He got up from the couch and walked to the kitchen to make himself a cup of tea, but he noticed something on the floor, in front of the door. He walked there and picked up a carefully folded piece of paper. He unfolded it and his heart skipped a beat. It was a drawing, the paper was split in the middle by a line that was supposed to represent the wall, on the right side there was a raccoon, a sad one actually, looking at the wall nervously, while on the left side was a cute hedgehog sitting at a piano, playing some nice melodies. There were two words on the bottom of the paper. Forgive me
Lucas was staring at it for long minutes before he could move to the kitchen. He put the paper on the counter and turned on the kettle. He kept glancing over where the drawing was. He knew Eliott draws himself as a raccoon, they talked about it on saturday, but he couldn’t get over the fact that he drew him as a hedgehog. When the water got hot, he poured some in a mug, making himself a nice mint and strawberry tea. He left the kitchen, not looking at the drawing this time and flopped down on the couch, turning on his tv, watching some stupid comedy on Netflix.
Tuesday 19:17
He slipped the drawing under the door for Lucas hours ago and he still had no idea what the boy was thinking of it. He was too scared to talk to him, so he tried his best, approaching him by the ony thing he was good at: art. He was thinking about Lucas’ spirit animal since he stepped into his apartment, but this morning he just woke up to the thought that Lucas must be a grumpy hedgehog. His back is spikey, getting scared easily, but actually the most adorable animal that exists.
Lucille left on Monday, early in the morning, so he was alone ever since. He got better, but he still couldn’t touch his phone or go near his laptop. He was afraid of social interactions for a long time after his anxiety attacks. It wasn’t easy, especially since he should be working on his project. The deadline was coming closer each day. He couldn’t let this chance to slip away because of his stupid mind.
He walked around in the living room, thinking about Lucas. His smell was already gone, which made Eliott feel much more lonely than he used to be. Knowing that the person he desires is right next to you, but you can’t reach him is a really painful thing to think about. His phone dragged him out of these angsty thoughts when it pinged. He reached for it with shaking hands, just to check the message, he didn’t wanted to reply.
From Lucille:  We’re going out tomorrow, 20:00, wear something nice
Fuck.
Wednesday 19:56
The party was loud, it was hosted by one of their high school friend, Alexandre. Lucas noticed a lot of familiar faces, like Emma, Daphné, Imane. The music was bursting so loud, Lucas’ chest was shaking from it, or maybe it was the booze starting to kick in. They had a couple drinks at Yann’s place before they came, just to set the mood for the party.
The living room was emptied to be a perfect dance floor, Lucas was chilling on the couch that was pushed to the wall in the corner, drinking some beer. People seem to have fun, they were yelling, dancing, kissing...
Arthur, Yann and Basile was talking to Alex, who was really happy that they boys came. This party was like a high school reunion, which kinda made Lucas feel better. He liked his high school years, even if it was hard at first. When he accepted his own sexuality, coming out to all of his friends, he got so much support that he was never expecting. It was overwhelming, making him extremely happy.
Now he was back, but felt like he didn’t belong here. He was a quiet musician, an exhausted adult who never went out to have fun, make out with someone he will never gonna meet again or have one night stands. He wanted love, a significant other by his side and his thoughts went back to saturday, when he was with Eliott. Fuck!
He shook his head and chugged his beer, going for another one in the kitchen. He’s going to get wasted and have fun, not thinking about his neighbour tonight.
Two hours later Lucas was very, very drunk, dancing in the middle of the living room like there’s no tomorrow. He took off his hoodie, leaving it on the couch like 40 minutes ago, now he was only wearing a navy blue shirt and dark grey jeans. Somewhere along the lines he started pressing his body to a really nice looking guy, he wasn’t even close to Eliott’s beauty, but he seemed to like the closeness of Lucas and that was more than enough for him. He wrapped his arms around him, rocking his hips, while rubbing their chest together.
The guy slid his arms on Lucas’ waist, pulling him closer and kissing his neck a few times. The alcohol hit his head so much, he barely could feel the lips touching his skin. His body was hot, his mind went blank and he just wanted to forget.
They didn’t needed more than ten minutes to end up making out on the couch, ignoring all the people around them. No one really gave a fuck, since basically everyone was doing the same somewhere in the house. Lucas was too drunk to think straight, so he just went with the flow, letting the guy to kiss him wildly, rubbing their crotch together.
Things escalated quickly, he didn’t remember when the guy took off his shirt, but his eyes popped open when he started to unzipp his jeans. Lucas grabbed the guy’s hand, trying to stop him, but he was too drunk and too weak.
“Don’t worry, sweetie, you’re gonna enjoy it.” he whispered into his ears. Lucas shivered and tried to resist, but his mind was too dizzy.
He closed his eyes, when he heard a noise, a body landing on the floor. He looked into the direction and he saw Eliott, holding Lucas’ shirt he probably picked up from the floor and looking at the guy, who was sitting on the floor. Some of the guests looked at them, being interested in the drama.
“Don’t touch him!” Eliott hissed, clenching his fist so much, his veins popped out.
Lucas sat up, holding his head, cause he was still pretty drunk. He grabbed Eliott’s arm, softly squeezing it.
“What are you doing here?” he mumbled, even though he didn’t actually care. It made him happy that Eliott was here and he saved him from this random guy.
Eliott now looked at him, his eyes softened and knelt down, stroking Lucas’ face. His touch was like electricity, waking up his mind from the dizziness all those beer caused.
“Let’s get you home.” he said softly, giving Lucas his shirt back.
A couple hard moments later Eliott finally reached his goal to get Lucas stand up from the couch. He wrapped his arm around his waist, gently helping him to walk out of the house. Thankfully they didn’t meet any of Lucas’ friends, so he could go out without anyone bothering them. He walked to the road, calling for a taxi, while Lucas was squatting on the sidewalk, looking like he’s gonna throw up. After he gave the address, he walked back to Lucas just in time, he was stroking his back as he threw up everything on the grass.
Long moments later Lucas seemed to be in a better condition, Eliott gave him a bottle of water. He washed his mouth first and then chugged up the rest of the bottle. They taxi arrived, so they hopped in on the backseat. Eliott told the driver their address and pulled Lucas to his side, making sure that he’s okay.
Thrusday 10:35
Lucas woke up with a terrible headache, he opened his eyes and looked around. He was in his bed, wearing only boxers, smelling like mens bathroom. He barely remembered anything that happened last night, his memories were fuzzy. He got up, putting on a hoodie he stole from Yann ages ago, that was long and cozy. He walked to the bathroom, looking into the mirror, his face looked terrible, his hair was all over the place. He sighed and washed his face, brushed his teeth. Then he heard the noise from the kitchen. He stepped out of the bathroom and walked there, shocked at the sight of a very fresh, good looking Eliott.
The tall boy was wearing white jeans, a black shirt and a black hoodie, he was making breakfast apparently, humming something. Lucas tried to slowly approach him, but Eliott heard the steps of his naked feet, looking at him with a big, bright smile. Lucas could swear that it was brighter than the sun itself.
“Good morning. I’m making breakfast.” he said happily.
“That’s really nice of you.” that is all he could say, his head was hurting too much to have a full conversation about last night. Also his heart apparently decided to beat as fast as it just could when he smelled Eliott’s cologne. It was basically torture having such a beautiful person here, in his kitchen.
He grabbed a mug from the cupboard and poured some fresh coffee in it. Looks like Eliott thought about everything. He put in some sugar and started drinking, while watching Eliott stading by the stove. His chest felt warm by the thought of having breakfast with Eliott.
A few minutes later the omlette was served on two plates, Eliott put it down on the table, smiling at Lucas softly. He couldn’t help, but smile back. Whatever happened last night, he was happy that it happened, otherwise Eliott wouldn’t be here, being kind, gentle, making breakfast for him.
“Take this as my apologize. I really wanted to come on Sunday, but... I had a problem.” he explained shorty, looking at Lucas, hoping for any signs of forgiveness.
This reminded Lucas of the moment when he saw that girl kissing Eliott in the doorway and then walking inside his apartment. He shook his head and put down the mug.
“I’ll take your apology.” he said softly, sitting down at the table. Trying to be friends with Eliott was still better than not having any contact with him at all. He was happy around this person, his presence just made Lucas feel like life isn’t that bad at all.
