Baffled that there are folks on this site who seriously defend ‘pick-me’ girls & their embarrassing behavior as having “Autism” or “trauma from girl bullying” as if Internalized Mysoginy is simply a byproduct of mental illness & mean girls in High School and not years of conditioned toxic sexist beliefs combined with self-loathing and a need to feel validated which affects anyone both on and off the spectrum.

Happy Canon Birthday to Smithy XD

They never did settle on a proper age mentioned clearly in the show for him, other than Louise's assessment of him on their first meeting being 'Late 20's, doing well to be a Sgt by now" (ignoring how that impacted his squaddie time) in 2005. Working from that I do believe that his pouty boy reaction for his birthday in 481 (2007) is because it's his 30th which would fit with Gina telling him to cheer up as it's not like it's his 50th! (which canon wise it would have been for her the year before)

That would make Smithy 3 years younger than Alex (Gina was born in 1956 making her 8 years younger than Roberta).

A very longwinded way for me to say that Smithy would be 47 today 😂 And who knows if not DCI Smith or even Superintendent Smith (stuck behind the desk and doing all the politics, he'd hate it 🤣🤣🤣)
