#some of yall just can’t fathom an author who has no wish (nor the ability) to interact with fanfiction of his own works#he’s said multiple times that he’s not allowed to read it nor does he want to#it’s literally none of his business#he supports you writing fics but he literally cannot do anything beyond that#he can’t read it; he can’t interact with it; he can’t reblog it; he can’t do ANYTHING#stop asking#stop askingg#stop askinggg#dear god y’all#i love the fandoms that Neil’s works have created but sometimes y’all drive me CRAZY#Neil Gaiman#please know this isn’t out of hatred or disrespect to anyone in fandom#but it’s disrespectful to Neil to constantly ask him about stuff he’s stated multiple times that he’s not allowed to see#just stick to your own little bubble in the fandom and go hog wild with your fics#and be glad he doesn’t read your stuff#him staying separated from that side of the fandom is as good for you as it is for him#it’s in everyone’s best interest if he keeps that layer of separation#enjoy fics! enjoy writing fics! enjoy reading and sharing fics! but leave Neil out of it#please for the love of god

YES LETS FUCKING GOOO you have no idea how much I love soundwave and cassette relationships so THANK YOU FOR ASKINGGG
Cassette and carrier dynamics are very unique and fluid depending on the mechs involved. Every carrier has a different dynamic, so it’s not always a “parent/child” “boss/grunt” or etc etc kinda dynamic.
The relationship between cassette and carrier oftentimes transcends our understanding of relationships.
For soundwave and his cassettes, the dynamic is very very close and friendly! They love eachother and protect eachother but there’s no designated caregiver—the role is often stepped into, so it’s very malleable and sort of depends on the circumstances. With that being said though, that doesn’t mean there isn’t a subtle hierarchy.
Soundwave was found by Ravage, Laserbeak and Buzzsaw in the Dead End and the four (Rav and the birds were already in a mutually beneficial arrangement) eventually formed a very strong bond. Ravage is kinda the head honcho—she’s not the boss per se (that title affectionately goes to Soundwave) but she ensures safety and security for the pack. Ravage’s approval is generally a MUST for anything to happen.
Soundwave rarely goes anywhere without Ravage. If Soundwave is present, it is an almost guarantee that ravage is somewhere close by. If Ravage isn’t available, Buzzsaw and Laserbeak will be (note: rumble and frenzy also have a strong bond with soundwave but they tend to be more independent from the carrier. They still love and protect eachother, but they’re speciality is more like the horrible roommates who help soundwave blow stuff up).
Ravage is a very tactile mech, believe it or not. She’s either wound around soundwaves ankles, perched on his shoulder, or in his lap. Touch was grounding for Soundwave during their time in the Dead End and old habits are hard to break (ie ravage refuses to stop).
Ravage grooms like a cat. She’ll wrestle soundwave to the ground to groom her face. The birds aren’t safe either. She’ll grab them out of the sky and sit on them to groom them. Rumble and frenzy are about the same size as Ravage (she’s a big girl) so she tackles them easy. Nobody is safe.
Soundwave has cat tendencies bc of ravage. His tape deck whrrs when he’s happy/content and it resembles a purr (he learned early on that it’s a calming gesture and an easy way to calm ravage down, later learning that it works for the other cassettes as well. Now it’s more subconscious than anything else). They also headbutt to show affection—a rare occurrence outside of their cassettes—but they’ll bump their head against the birds if they’re on her shoulder or gently headbutt one of the twins after a particularly difficult battle.
If Ravage is pissed off she gets petty. She’ll hide your stuff, she’ll tear stuff up, try to ‘accidentally’ trip you, etc etc. and honestly Soundwave can also get petty. They’re no better than she is. When they get into arguments it’s horrible for everyone around.
Small coswave note: ravage knew soundwave had a crush on cosmos before soundwave even did. She stalked cosmos obsessively and made note of every little way he acted around soundwave. Only the best for her kit (don’t worry, she begrudgingly approved eventually)

3. favorite line/scene you wrote this year
the first line/scene that comes to mind is in One Day at a Time when Namjoon and Yoongi are finally going to 👉👌 for the first time and there is a ton of tension and Namjoon is driving Yoongi mad.
Namjoon may have tauntingly asked when the last time he had been touched was, but Yoongi wonders the same. Rut or not, Namjoon seems desperate, like he is moments away from losing total control. Is this what rut is like, or is Namjoon just as touch-starved as he is?
“It’s not that I expect you to be soft,” Yoongi finally responds, finding his voice, and doing his best to at least return some of Namjoon’s playful energy. “But you really do love to tease, don’t you, alpha?”
Namjoon groans deep from his chest, and this time, when he takes in a deep breath, his lips skim over Yoongi’s shoulder ever so slightly. The contact is barely there, but it is enough to send a shiver quaking from the base of Yoongi’s spine to the tips of his toes.
“I’ll stop teasing you, then,” Namjoon responds, voice breathy and deep, lust-laced the way it was in the woods. “I’ll take what I came here for. Is that what you want, little omega? Want me to knot you nice and tight and fill you with my pups?”
Gods, the language is archaic and borderline humiliating, but it sends Yoongi reeling. He wants it so badly he worries he may lose his mind completely if Namjoon does not hurry and give it to him.
“Please,” Yoongi pants, letting his eyelids flutter closed. “Breed me, alpha.”

i have no idea how many actual words i wrote all together, but according to ao3 i published 685,445 words?!!?!?!?!?! which is BONKERS. what the fuck. oh my god. WHAT THE FUCK?!!?!?!?!!?? there are also several Collateral POV chapters on buymeacoffee that are not included in this tally. 😲😲😲
(i have published 1,160,259 total, since 2021. and that doesn't include everything i have orphaned or the content that is only posted on buymeacoffee. OH MY GOD LOLOL. why am i doing this for free lmaoooo.)

I’m trying to run a bunch of scenarios through my head to see if Ryan or The Substitute would win and tbh it’s not going well. For starters, Ryan is already at a disadvantage because he was literally just drugged and stabbed. However, he is still fighting a hologram. The Substitute seems to be getting stronger because I don’t think it glitched as much in the last two episode (minus the end), but it still seems like only he can touch others, not the other way around. He can also interact (1/2)
with objects and use them. But at the end of the episode, it seems like he’s glitching again. So I’m going to base my guess off of how ghosts are supposed to work because it’s kind of similar (like Ik The Substitute is a hologram but hear me out). The Substitute can interact with objects and people, but if a person touches him, he will no longer be able to use the objects he’s holding, and because he’s already glitching, it may mean that he’s putting his energy into using the knife
So it seems like it will basically come down to Ryan at a disadvantage vs what is essentially a floating knife. Ryan can either just try and touch The Substitute to make him lose control over the knife OR he could unplug the box, but because this is the first time we see The Substitute out of the puppet theater, who knows if it would work.
oo your first part screeeeams as ryan gets weaker the holo prof gets stronger !! not sure how they’d be linked like that but i’m intrigued nonetheless!
all energy on his offensive knife strategies and no energy on any defensive strategies, holo prof is just askinggg ryan to overcome him.
i love the idea of a last ditch effort to try and stop holo by unplugging the box’s not sure where to go from there but it’s a fun plot point lol

18. Which achievement(s) are you most proud of?
Oh, oh this one I gotta pull out my damn game probably-- but three I'm most proud off just by the sheer amount of time and effort from me was the getting 999 renown so the Limitless, the one for all datacrons (on Tulak Hord that one but I'll be moving it over soon) and the Flashpoint Master-- and that's because I soloed every single one of those that only have the Veteran option, *including Kaon Under Siege.* Only did the Lost Island with a group. So I'm pretty proud of those. (I have so much more but I just overall love to do as many achievements as possible :DD)
20. What do you most often do while playing? (ex. PVP, FPs, quests, crafting, RP, etc.)
Nowadays? Mostly just Seasons things, sometimes grinding for gearing-- on veteran flashpoints solo, or just generally doing Conquest solo. Sometimes I do story stuff on my neverending alts for screens but it often makes me nervous. I like crafting too, I have days of making vast piles of some dyes and putting them up for a reasonable price (a.k.a I never put dyes for above 100k, usually keeping it between 50-75k, something I decided to do when I stopped being f2p). My swtor playing is mostly doing grind tho as you can see.
24. Do you have a primary/preferred stronghold?
I like all of them a lot... *and I have bought and unlocked all of them by this point*, but my preferred is definitely DK one. It's the only one on Star Forge that's actually decorated fully. I like the rainy ambiance. Coruscant is really nice too. The others are usually big enough to intimidate me so I just have them standing empty xd

as for... from a character's perspective... no... you know writing from gojo's perspective is a headache. incidentally writing from deku's is also a pain in the butt (because being in gojo's head is mentally damaging to my normal person psyche and deku is such a disgusting overthinker that it takes forever to get anywhere).

not focusing on writing. LMAO. i almost never sit down and just write. though i'm not sure if that's a habit or just... my attention span.
i also edit in the middle of my writing but that's hard to break because sometimes you can't move forward without solidifying things!!

I have actually mostly written it. There's a scene in the Halloween fic (which you probably know) that I have dreaded. I'm in the middle of rewriting it HAHA to... make it better. Though I'm going to have to accept that it's like that because of the nature of Halloween fic as a whole...
I think Halloween fic is both self-indulgent and like also everything I hate in a fic all at once LMAO. So honestly, if people like it, and I know you have said you do, I will be surprised. That fic is a real labor of love... or perhaps hate.

also i am apologizing in advance... this is longer than expected. I'm so sorry truly, feel free to not read this ahah this got far longer than I wanted it to and far longer than you expected and so I'm so sorry.
11: Who tops?
Oh... oh no, you've asked me this question.
This... this is something I'm very passionate about despite being asexual we dont talk about it.
Listen, I don't think this is necessarily a popular opinion, but it's mine.
Arthur and Merlin alternate.
Okay, so I'm sure many people actually have that idea but WAIT lemme explain if anyone is confused.
Season 1-2: Arthur tops. Why? Because their relationship at this point isn't as deep. Merlin and Arthur are acquaintances, somewhat friends but they aren't close close. I have the belief that Arthur tops when we think of physical, but when it becomes emotional? Arthur is a complete bottom. besides in season 2 remember when Arthur choked Merlin for like ten seconds? man is kinkyyyyy
I should say not every episode works with this. there are definitely some episodes that don't fit this idea, but when I think about the overall seasons, I would say that Arthur tops. But by the end of season 2, they are friends on an emotional level. But what do I think pushes Arthur and Merlin's relationship even further, into a much more emotional state? Morgana's disappearance and defeating the dragon together.
They've been through some shit together and shared trauma always brings people together in more ways than one.
Season 3-4: Merlin tops. Why? Arthur asks for Merlin's opinion always, he trusts Merlin more, he depends on Merlin much more. He needs Merlin, he relies on him. And Merlin is there to give it.
Season 5: this one... well, I think they've become close enough that their sex goes far beyond this. They have known each other for ten years (according to fandom i actually dont know but that's besides the point basically: it's been a long time) and they have come to fully trust and depend on one another. But, if I were to choose, I would say Arthur tops. And I say that because their characters have evolved since the first season.
Although Arthur is still uncertain about many things, he has made so many friends since he's met Merlin. He's come out of his shell more and trusted more people. Not only does he have Merlin, but he has Gwen, the knights, Gaius, the people's support. He has so many more friends and he's much more happy than he was when he was in season 1.
On the flipside, Merlin has lost so much. He has lost Freya, Balinor, Will, Lancelot (twice), Morgana (as in he feels like he's failed her) (and Daegal who he loses in season 5) - not to mention, his loss of innocence. He tells Gaius he's "grown up" because he has -- trauma and the pressure put on him to succeed have forced him into dealing growing up early. In a way, he's a lot like Arthur from season 1 and Arthur is a lot like Merlin from season 1.
They've changed quite a bit. If I were to show you a graph of their happiness through the seasons, Arthur's would certainly increase while Merlin's would decrease.
And the way that Arthur constantly worries about Merlin and the way Merlin feels as if Arthur doesn't care, as if no one cares about him - and not only that, that he's fine with it -- really is what makes me believe Merlin desperately needs some comfort, and Arthur gives it to him (even if he doesn't know what he's giving).

25: Who needs more assurance?
Oh, I definitely think Arthur does. Although, I do think they both need a lot of assurance due to that trauma ahaha. I would explain more but I feel that this is already way too long and I'm not sure you care about the nitty gritty details so lets just move on from that ahha.
28: What do they do when they're away from each other?
They try to get something done.
Literally, anything to keep their minds off of each other, they do. Arthur looks through official documents and signs papers, he attends council meetings and listens to his arguing council members, he trains with his loyal knights who understand that he's missing a certain blue-eyed warlock (not that Arthur would ever mention this) and they would try to mess with him more, distract him more, but eventually would stop when this would make him think even more of Merlin.
With Merlin, he would visit his mother or talk with the druids or learn about magic but his magic wouldn't be as strong as it usually was, his smiles would be less wide, more strained.
There would be nights when he would visit his mother and she would notice his sadness and she would tell him to go back to him because even though on the outside these two can function without each other, their souls are connected and their destinies are connected and a half cannot truly be away from the person that makes them whole.
And so they try and they are successful to some degree -- they can function without each other, they've done it before back when they didn't know one another -- but they're also not as strong, not as balanced, not as powerful when they are not together.

22. What is their least favorite thing about their personality?
Moon has this issue about not being able to fully trust in other people that, although she knows it's a problem, she can't fix it and she just hates it.
Jaein is stubborn and refuses to give up. Sometimes the girls have to pull the 'unnie card' out and tell her to stop.
Jade is extremely rational and, in times where she has to act with her feelings, she listens to her brain and most of the trouble she faced in her life was because of it.
Unlike Moon, Minah trusts other people a lot and always regret it. She said on a ig live that she's trying to change it.
Somi is - and has always been - extremely perfectionist. The boys often tease her because of it.
