Ghoul's Hands <3 <3

Just a collection of headcanons because a friend of mine has CURSED ME with thoughts about him.

His hands are always cold. Freezing cold. It feels like he's barely got any blood running through his body.

While he doesn't mind his hands feeling cold, if you hold his hands close to you to warm them up, he'll melt. The warmth is so cozy and safe to him - it means a lot that someone cares enough to not want him to feel cold, even if it really doesn't bother him.

If you're walking side by side, he'll reach out and link pinkies with you.

He has callouses and burn scars from working with chemicals.

He bites his nails, but wears nail polish to discourage the habit.

He has a lot of spooky themed rings that he likes to wear, but many of them have tarnished in some funky ways from coming into contact with various chemicals/fumes.

He'll hold your face in his hands.

If you've got a fever or it's hot outside, he'll rest a hand on your forehead/neck to help cool you off. (See also: cuddling with him to stay cool when it's hot out)

He'll cover your eyes when you've got a migraine so your head doesn't hurt as much from the light. (I think about this ALL THE TIME)

Similarly he'll also cover your ears if you're in a loud, overwhelming environment and forgot headphones/earplugs.

His stitches run over the backs of his hands (I like to think of them as some kind of body mods), and they're a very grounding texture to run your thumb over. Holding his hand when you're stressed or panicking and running a thumb over his stitches to help calm down aaaaaa

He'd run his hands through your hair and massage your scalp to help you relax

He tries to act cool around you. And very embarrassed if he fails.

Every time he sees you he will go up to you.

When he actually confesses to you (yes he does all these things before that too) he'll be kind of nervous.

Graveyard or creepy place for dates.

Transmasc Ghoul headcanons

He ran away because his parents refused to let him transition among many other things

He kept his long hair, wears crop tops and paints his nails because he doesn't believe in gender stereotypes or binary

He's loud and proud about being trans because he only wants to be around people he knows accept him the way he is

He has gotten his top surgery already and totally shows off his scars when he gets the chance

He has taken his T right in front of transphobes to show dominance

In his free time, he does as much damage to transphobic communities as he can

He sticks up for his nonbinary siblings too if there's any discrimination within the community

I know its super late, but on your Batman Beyond thoughts, I always wonder where all these powerful and weird looking misfit teenagers become Jokerz?

Or like does Bonk have parents, if so did they care about his death?

You make a very good point here, anon.

The show, as great as it is, fails to elaborate much on The Jokerz's past as a whole. Sure, there are tidbits here and there but more should have been added to properly explain how and why they joined The Jokerz in the first place.

Sure, make the point they were dumb teens who didn't know better, but there's more than that, there always is.

So let's explain it further by the five W’s.

Who, What, Where, When, and Why.

Who?

Who are the characters presented to us?

Ghoul, DeeDee, Chucko, Wolf, and Bonk.

And whoever other teenager dressing up is similar to either The Joker or Harley Quinn herself.

What?

What is happening to these characters and the people around them?

Simple, a group of misfit teenagers go out of their way to cause chaos and mischief wherever they go. Of course, lacking general empathy, causing property damage, and directly or indirectly murdering people whether they were innocent or not. And to be stopped by either law enforcement or by The Batman.

Where?

Gotham City, more specifically Neo-Gotham City.

The various old and decrepit buildings of what Gotham City was like before were long forgotten. Likely, used for the citizens of Gotham who couldn't afford the luxurious apartments and homes near and within Neo-Gotham.

When?

The future.

A time beyond Batman’s prime in time for a new Batman to take place. Just in time to handle the new and chaotic criminals that run or fly freely across the city. New technology, new law enforcement, new drugs, and new opportunities to cause havoc upon the citizens of the futuristic city.

Why?

Many reasons, few predictable, others reasonable, and the rest unexplainable.

Throughout the show, it's shown that various teenagers who go into a life of crime have rough backgrounds. Abusive or neglectful parents, low income, bullying, or even the corruption of authorities.

Bonk’s death, while brief, shows the cruel reality that many of these young criminal teenagers would face. Yes, they may be having fun, but over time they’ll be able to face life-threatening situations that may end their life. It could be painful, it could be painless, or it could have long-lasting effects if they survived. In Bonk’s case, he made the fatal mistake of going up against The Joker, paying dearly for it, and dying with a permanent smile on his face.

His body might as well be disposed of near or in a trashcan. I doubt DeeDee would go the extra mile to deliver his body to his parents, but if they did I can't imagine the horror his parents would have finding his corpse laid out on their front porch. Now, whether or not they cared for Bonk is unknown, but judging his brutish personality I could only speculate he cared for himself and likely hated being seen as lesser than everyone else. Especially his parents.

The other Jokerz can be speculated as well.

Ghoul came from a rich family, likely running off to live a life without rules and regulations. I've written a few scenarios about this on this blog about this. His family likely disowned him because of his involvement with The Jokerz as I never see them visit him when he's captured.

DeeDee are related to Harley Quinn, now whether they know about that is up in the air. But it's obvious they were inspired despite how much their ‘Nana Harley’ despised them for it. They seem to enjoy the limelight of joining forces to cause havoc and chaos all at once despite everyone telling them not to.

Chucko is a bully who loves inflicting misery on others. Likely joined The Jokerz to bully others without consequences and cause mass amounts of destruction. Whether or not he came from a bad family, it's clear that Chucko enjoys bullying others he sees as lesser than him.

Wolf was human before being spliced with hyena DNA and became the rabid creature we all know. It's possible that he felt a clear connection with animals, specifically dogs, rather than with his own family. Maybe he felt like being a dog/hyena made him feel more complete rather than living his life out like a human.

And we already talked about Bonk.

God knows about the other Jokerz members.

Sometimes I wonder what would happen in the next ten years for these characters and where they’ll be then.

Would they be dead? Would they get proper help and move on? Would they still be in jail? Would they change their whole gimmick and become like the villains from the past?

This reminds me, I found an artist on Devianart who specifically drew The Jokerz gang if they took part in the inspirations of past villains. Ghoul as Scarecrow, Wolf as Killer Croc, and Bonk as Bane. It's very creative and I feel like it should get more attention for how creative they all were.

Nonetheless, The Jokerz gang should be talked more about not only for their missed potential but for their capability to do so much more.

Your Chance pt 2

Ghoul x Reader

Heyyyyy got a notif for Part 1 just a bit ago, and decided that since it was a cliffhanger, I'd keep going!

"You're bad at this!"

Ghoul laughed, spinning you idly.

"I toldja last time; this ain't my scene!"

It had been several weeks since your first party encounter, and you were finding Ghoul at several other low-budget functions you were attending. He offered to buy you a drink each time and, regardless of answer, opted to sit and chat for as long as he could.

This, however, was the first time you had convinced him to dance at any such party.

You could feel Dee Dee's eyes on the both of you, but considering their distance, you figured that they liked you enough to stand back. That, or they just wanted to watch Ghoul try to dance - slow dance, at that - in the middle of a group of people he knew, with zero prior experience or practice.

Ghoul re-situated his hands - one on your shoulder, one on your hip - and tried again.

Not that many of them would probably remember, being inebriated or unconscious.

The first few attempts hadn't been great.. but he was certainly improving. Rocking you instead of going limp and letting you do the moving, or spinning instead of freezing. He was trying, at least.

One step forward,

One step backwards,

One step forward,

One step backwards.

You followed his lead, gently rocking back to let him shift towards you. After a few successful rounds of this, you turned, pulling him with you.

He tensed against you, foot hovering just above the ground.

"What are you doing?!" Hissed through his teeth, your shirt bunching beneath his hands.

"Just follow my lead. Keep stepping like you were."

He sighed, setting his foot down. "Alright."

You pulled him back into a rhythm, rotating as the two of you stepped back and forth.

"See? Not too hard."

He chuckled, shifting his hands to both rest on your hips. Taking the cue, you settled yours on his shoulders.

"Yeah, you're right.. first time anyone's even tried to teach me."

Smiling, you took an extra half-step forward, bumping his nose with yours.

"Well then.. I'm glad I got the chance."

Apologies for the unfinished art, but I don't think I'll ever finish it.

So, Mysticverse mixes into Batman Beyond stuff.

After the death of his husband, Jonathan Crane goes back to his hometown, Arlen, where he spends his remaining years alone. That was, until Stewart Winthrop III (Ghoul) came along.

He's from a wealthy family back in New Gotham, raised by a crooked lawyer and a socialite. Idk how he ends up in Arlen, but he meets "Old Jon", along with Clue the Dog.

Soon, they will have a grandfather/grandson relationship, found family type shizz. And yeah, that's all I have.

Had this AU for a year now, and yee.

I just got back from a end of year Canteen event. One of the activities at the end is we got to just paint whatever we want on a canvas provided.

So completely from memory, up until we were done for the night and finished painting the hat (so I can fix it next time at home)...I decided to paint/roughly draw Ghoul from Batman Beyond. No reference, completely from memory right up until the end of the the night before we had to pack up and head home. At the end when I did what I could with what we had available (some of the paints they had were unfortunately so old they were completely dry when opened and we could use some, including black, which is why I used Black marker) So I painted the hat completely brown and will be fixing up where the buckle goes, as well as finishing painting/colouring more areas and details, so this is still definitely a Work in Progress (W.I.P)

This isn't my best work, and I am still trying to continue practising my painting and drawing/sketching (particularly of Ghoul right now, I have done a few rough and not great sketches in my sketchbook that I haven't posted yet 😅) but for what it is, and creating this from memory alone, I am still quite proud of it. Everyone else at the little event liked it a lot too :)

He would let you brush his hair. He can really relax while it.

Imagine being part of the jokerz. If you don't wear a mask, he would love to do ur make up.

The two of you listening to music. (Probably metal or smt)

When he gets spooked he'll cling to you. I imagine him as sometimes rather shy boi (but mostly around you)

When you compliment him he'll blush and say nothing.

He would let you wear his hat.

Hugs and kisses are a must to him. But he rather do these in private.

Remember that scene when they are at that party? Yeah he can go freaky

He will keep things in his basket that you gave him. Smiling when he looks at them. You feel closer to him like this.

Ghoul comforts you

You came home tired. Tired of the day you just had. Stewart came to greet you at the door only to be greeted back with a long face and barely a kiss.

"What's wrong, cutes?" He asked you. You sighed.

"A lot happened today..." You admitted. He frowned. He welcomed you into his arms, gently caressing you and fiddling with your clothes. You stayed like that for a long while, Stewart had shifted his weight a few times.

"You wanna go cuddle on the couch and talk about it...?" He offered, breaking the silence. You kissed him properly this time.

"Yeah, that would be nice." You admitted. He took you by the hand and led you to the couch. He guided your head into the crook of his neck. The sound of his breath and the way it lightly tickled your skin was comforting. You alternated between playing with his hair and caressing his face as you spoke. Once you were done, he leaned his forehead against yours to show you you weren't alone.
