@feuglace asked: "You are ever difficult to buy for, my friend," Silvaire uttered, exasperated but not without his telltale teasing smile. He sat down next to Guerrique, a box wrapped with colourful paper covered in stars held betwixt hands. He turned, plopping the box in the knight's lap with a chuckle and leaning forward to poke the tip of his nose. "Yet entirely doable. 'Tis nothing exceptionally fancy, but I thought Starlight of all things would be an ample time to indulge. Happy Starlight, dearest."
Within were two carefully wrapped parcels, one containing a handful of small, freshly baked crown pies with little stars imprinted onto the top, while the other was a bottle reminiscent of most common alcoholic beverages, a bright red bow wrapping around the center. The label itself, however, read something quite different: "Fireball".
Unexpected words reach his ears and it is with raised eyebrows that Guerrique regards his companion with a raised brow. Silvaire was always one to pop up when least expected, appearing seemingly out of thin air-
The gift, however, was thrice more unexpected.
"You ought not have bothered." Still was the once-knight struggling with his newfound freedom, his weighty delf-deprivation revolving around his failures still ever present. Gifts were... not for people like him and yet- and yet - he couldn't help the small smile that pulled unto his features at the weight of whatever was wrapped within his hands.
The pastries were discovered first - a secret endulgance of his when he had not been highly focused upon his training, something he remembers his mother making with his little brother when they were much younger. It was a bittersweet memory, in truth, but one that bought a sense of joy to the depths of his chest, regardless.
The whiskey however, was a sincerely unexpected gift especially since his issues with the substance were not precisely a secret. It bought a wider smile to his expression, the idea of getting rather drunk in order to breeze through Starlight without remembering aught at all. It would be easier.
"Perhaps we ought find a straw, hm-? I hear there's a tavern nearby that serves nice stews- we could go there and spend the eve watching the fireworks from afar-?"

This is pretty long so get ready haha
They both have the same love language. I think they both like quality time and acts of service. They both also really like physical touch but not in public.
Neither of them are a fan of PDA, but sometimes Jake will kiss her on the cheek or put his hands on her wait or shoulders out of habit.
I think they had a situationship going on for like a year.
Jake was staying with her on and off for a year before one day he just showed up with his stuff and told her that he quit all his jobs.
Sherry was so happy because she knew he trusted her. They definitely celebrated all night and Sherry was late for work in the morning.
Sometimes when they’re taking and looking/gazing at each other they will just start laughing because they feel awkward and a strong sexual tension hehe
Sherry likes when Jake hugs her from behind while she’s cooking, getting ready, or when they’re cuddling.
Jake smacks Sherry’s butt anytime he passes by her or when she bends down to reach for something.

One night Sherry is having a really bad nightmare she wakes up and panics when she see’s Jake in her bed because she hasn’t fully woken up and she falls out of bed, causing Jake to wake up and when he see’s that she’s holding her gun he doesn’t panic.
This truly doesn’t faze him, he understands.
He slowly gets out of bed and takes the gun from her and puts it back on her nightstand before he holds her and feels tears start to fall into his shoulder.
He doesn’t bring this up ever again because he doesn’t want to embarrass her or make her feel bad.
It takes Jake just a little longer to adjust to sleeping in the bed with her.
When they first started living together and Jake was just getting used to everything, Sherry actually rolls onto his side of the bed (because she isn’t used to not having the bed to herself) and this freaks Jake out.
He grabs her and rolls them both off the bed and pins her down on the floor. If Sherry hadn’t yelled “hey” out of surprise, Jake would have most definitely tried to choke her.
She just looks up at him with a blank expression and asks if he’s okay. Jake apologizes profusely when he sits up and realizes what just happened. Sherry is quick to calm him down and they fall asleep sitting on the floor, but when she wakes up she’s asleep on her side of the bed and she finds Jake asleep on the couch.
This was the only time either of them freak out, now, they can’t sleep without each other.
They always have to be touching while they’re in bed hanging out of sleeping. Either they have to be cuddling, holding hands, or even just their legs just tangled together.
Sherry LOVES when Jake lets her hold him.
Jake would always hold Sherry when they were snuggled up with each other. It was in his nature to be this strong, almost possessive, man who always protected people who he loved. It was something he grew into when he was left to take care of his sick mom before his age was in double digits.
Jake likes spooning her because he likes to grab or hold her boob’s sometimes hehe.

When they argue (which is not often at all) they argue in Italian or French. Jake knew the language very well and Sherry picked up on it over the years because he would always make comment and self notes to himself in one of those two languages.

you are absolutely right, shounen male mangakas are HORRIBLE at writing romances and pairing up characters. i literally can't remember one single canon ship written by a male mangaka that's good. it's really weird.
by the way, was it Maeda or Oda who said that people are free to view Nami and Zoro's dynamic however they want to? if i'm not mistaken, some creator said that while there isn't Nami/Zoro romance in Live Action, they aren't dogmatic about the way people should interpret Nami and Zoro's chemistry.
Ikr? I just hope Oda ended w Steaw hat sail perpetually or something like that lol
Yup it's the same interview. Maeda said the romantic nuance due to Emily and Mackenyu chemistry on screen (yeah yeah blame the actors).
And He said viewers can look however they like. So it's not denial about LA zonami, just theres red tape from Oda that hinder the LA production to develop their relationship into something more.
Funny aftermath is people want mackenyu and Emily to start in a romcom as a couple. And I'll be there for that 😆
