What if in the upcoming Strange New Worlds Musical episode, we suddenly see Paul Wesley as Kirk disappearing into a room.
He abruptly reappears, walking out in a bowtie tux.
He has a stool and a microphone in hand.
He puts down the stool and promptly sits upon it.
He snatches out a "jazz cigarette", lights it, takes a generous drag, and begins:
"Packed my bag last night, pre-flight; zero hour, 9 am . . .
and I'm going to be high as a kite by then . . . "
The USS Enterprise crew:
*Whispering* "Maybe if we don't look he'll stop . . ."
"Captain, do something. Shut it down!"

My sister, a non-Trekkie who has barely seen 5 episodes of Star Trek, recently watched Amok Time for the first time in her life. She repeated this scene about 7 times, then turned to me, her eyes twinkling, and whispered “I get why this is your favorite episode”.
And I just sat there with a smug grin on my face, proudly thinking: we’ve got another Spirk shipper on board.
