"Peace of Mind" is one of my fave SPN episodes ever. I love how it pays homage to "Goodbye Stranger" in a fun, yet respectful way. This time is Cas who manages to "break the connection" and Sam "snaps out of it". Also, "God has a beard" probably one of my fave SPN quotes as well, lol.

Eta: oooooh actually Sam and Cas fight scene reminds me of "The Prisoner" as well! Sooo good! Such a good mash-up! I really needed more Sam and Cas screentime :(

Watching the spn episode “My Heart Will Go On” (s6e17) and OH MY GOD the parallel to the tomb scene in “Goodbye Stranger” (s8e17) is insane…like Dean and Cas basically word for word recreate the scene where Bobby is taking to his WIFE about needing her.

now that im watching s8e17 where cas prevents himself from being manipulated/controlled/?? into killing dean i realized that dean Means So Much to cas (like as a person) and. he's sacrificed so much for him n it's not an equal exchange bc dean's never done anything like it, not constantly the way cas does so like. destiel rly is unhealthy, n that's just one aspect of it

at first I was like, can’t believe they put ‘we are family’ words in Dean’s mouth instead of ‘I love you’ when Cas beat him nearly to death, bc it’s definitely the words you say when one of you closest friends nearly kills you
