i think it's funny when people go off about "but how was gideon maintaining her fabulous biceps on a ninth diet of snow leeks and oatmeal?? whence cometh the protein??" including one post that suggested big tubs of protein powder like it's rediculous when like. they literally do canonically keep tubes of nutrient paste laying around to mix into the food. because obviously, they would have to, to keep everyone from getting severely malnourished on a diet of snow leeks and oatmeal. it really isn't that far-fetched to imagine that they would have a handy protein supplement, especially considering the fact that until pretty recently they were equipped to produce soldiers, they still have penitents perform manual labor, and they're still equipped to produce swordsmen. physical education is not a new concept to the ninth, so there's no reason to believe they wouldn't be worried about protein intake. they probably have suppliments for that.

Not to start anything but if people stop writing what they like it doesn't mean they'll start writing what you like.

One very common trope in fics I really can't seem to vibe with is Atsushi and Akutagawa becoming full time partners / regularly carrying through missions together. I mean, having very very different work ethics that are wholly irreconcilable except for when absolutely extraordinary circumstances occur is one of the greatest charms of the ship for me! Atsushi and Akutagawa being so different in how they work and how they get the job done is a great appeal of their dynamic; most importantly, it makes the few situations when out of necessity they're pushed to join forces feel all the more special and impactful. I want Atsushi to collaborate with Akutagawa, to wear Rashomon, being an extraordinary and meaningful event and not just another Thursday‚ you know what I mean? I want Atsushi to go home and slide his back against the door, heart going doki doki as he thinks back at it.

Besides, in the end it's just so hard to believe they'd have this many joined missions– the pm is a criminal organization, the ada is a law enforcement organization, how many shared goals can they have? There's only this much “new ability user organization that just landed in Yokohama and that poses a threat for both organizations”. And I feel like something people happen to mistake a lot is that truce isn't equivalent to regular collaboration. Like, not even close. Now that I think about it, I suppose there's also a component to it in the fact that it bugs me to think of Akutagawa working in collaboration with the ada- that is, working under Dazai again, as the picture is most commonly depicted. That man needs to be free, c'mon, let him be. Give him a break. Same goes for Atsushi, like, there's a point about him of being repulsed by Akutagawa just because he's mafia and he kills people. I don't think he'd be that willing to collaborate with the pm (as much as he loves Akutagawa. and he does), and honestly I don't think the ada would ask it of him that often, either, unless the world is literally about to end like what happens in the manga. If the ada really had to mingle with the pm, they'd probably ask Dazai, for a lot of reasons spanning from him knowing the pm intimately to him being their most cunning - and thus hard to deceive - agent.

Re: Obi-wan and Anakin in the clone wars animation - Anakin’s features are much more square in the animation. And Obi-Wan is much more boxy in real life.

I am…annoyed that they would try to make Anakin more “manly”. I think he’s plenty manly in the movies! He’s all broad shoulders and petulance. And also. I never thought about how much slighter they made Obi-Wan (probably to fit the more “posh” stereotype). Like. Ewan’s boxy (not in a bad way, he’s very hot) and just thick. Thick arms, thick legs, thick torso.

a fun drinking game you can play with TCW is whenever you see that anakin is being framed by blocking and camera angle to be Big on screen and obi-wan is minimized. it's not just that obi-wan's animation model is more willowy and slight than ewan, it's also that obi-wan is mostly shot from far away, or over anakin's shoulder, behind and assisting him, things like that. once you begin to see it, it's unmissable how they made anakin into the dashing hero of the show and obi-wan into more of a sidekick, it's a kids cartoon after all and ahsoka and anakin are the main story, not really the narrative adults (the council).

so anakin fills the screen with his strong jaw, impressive height, and worrying aggression issues haha and where hayden's anakin cries, tcw anakin never does. they hit him with a masc gender beam to flatten him out into someone else more suited for the genre and it makes sense but also grinds my gears haha. i think obi-wan deserves to take up space on screen just as much as anakin does, they're both equally masculine and equally feminine to me in the right mix and proportion in live action. i prefer it that way anyway, i know this opinion isn't universal and others prefer the opposite and honestly im just glad we both have content that fits our taste haha

no. sit with the emotions. think about it and why the author made it and wants you to feel it too. engage yr empathy and human connection. not every piece of fiction is escapism and creatives don't owe you that. if you absolutely need this fictional character to be happy, make fanart and under no circumstances add it to the post.

instead of the link click trio standing around modeling & striking poses in 3d graphics or whatever at the start of every episode of s2, they should have cheng xiaoshi look directly into the camera and say, “lu is lu guangs family name. you cant just call him lu. thats not how chinese works.”

i love watching new people reacting to qsmp stuff as much as the next guy. but when a streamer shows an inkling of interest in the server for the first time and wants a lil recap, i just start aggressively hissing when all of chat says to immediately watch regret. it's incredible and iconic but for it to be the first introduction to the server??? just wait for them to at least watch the recap vids (if they even want to go that far) and THEN maybe recommend regret. it's something that has a way stronger impact the more you're familiar with the story, watching it with no context just leaves them more confused than anything and i go feral every time chat recommends it to a first timer alongside the casual funny moments stuff
