sorin is a name known across all the land. a great, powerful fire dragon who's stories have been told for centuries. he's seen as a beast, a being with no reason or want for anything besides riches .. until he found you.

YANDERE TYPE: primal, possessive, protective, doting

PHYSICSL DESCRIPTION: long ruby red hair that reaches his tailbone, his hair has a few braids with small crystals/gems weaved in, fiery eyes, his tail, wings, and scales are all red, orange, and yellow, a couple scars on his back and chest, 8'0.

PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: used to be very quiet but now that he has you he's constantly bragging, confident, knowledgeable.

LIKES: jewels/riches, flying, reading, pillaging villages from time to time.

Managed to pound out a few very messy refs for one of my dnd ocs, first up is my current character Sorin Whitemoon! He is a nobleman human, belongs to the church of Pholtus as a paladin, has an ongoing rivalry with his lawyer/cleric sister, and is definitely not going to murder anyone he prommies (he's lying, roll for insight)

Fun fact: he failed a constitution saving roll against a werewolf before he leveled up to get the paladin immunity to disease so... The moon part of his name and motifs in his design ended up being REALLY fucking funny by pure coincidence lol

The purple in his earring and glove mail didnt show up well but im too lazy to scan stuff lol rn my focus is getting my ideas onto paper and not worrying about neatness

a dance with an enemy

A scene I had fun writing and decided to share. This scene does not pass the bechdel test but that’s okay because these girls are flirting with each other as much as they’re talking about their mutual bf

Fel took Niara’s hand and let herself be led towards the dance floor. She threw one last glance over her shoulder at Lar, sitting on the throne. Five years of fighting side by side made it easy for her to read the mixture of relief and worry running through the frown on his face. She gave him a look she hoped conveyed “I can handle this”, before turning back towards her partner.

“You know how to dance?” asked Niara.

“Well enough.” She’d been taught when she was younger, though she was certainly out of practice.

Niara nodded, and together she and Fel joined the crowd of happily dancing nobles. With how Fel, Lar and Faris had looked towards the coronation with nothing but fear, tension and a desire to get it over with, it had been easy for her to forget how for everyone else, this was a joyous occasion. Sure, some of them were only happy because their new monarch was far easier to manipulate than the last one, and Fel would likely spend the next several weeks making thinly veiled threats at half the people in this room – but some of them were simply enjoying the festivities, or celebrating a change they hoped would lead to a brighter future.

Niara’s voice pulled Fel from her thoughts. “So, why is the Imperial Protector accepting the Emperor’s dance offers?”

You know why, Niara. “I do what my liege requires,” she stated simply.

The music quickened, and Niara spun away from Fel briefly before returning to her arms, eyebrow raised. “Darling, you know no one can hear us over the music. Anyone with half a mind can look at you and him and tell you’re far closer than an average guard and her liege.”

Fel resisted the urge to ‘accidentally’ step on Niara’s pretty shoes. “You’re one to talk. I didn’t hear any your imperial majesties when you were stabbing him last night.”

“Fair enough.” For the next few moments, no words passed between them. They simply moved along with the music. Then, Niara spoke again.

“Why are you here, Felicien?”

“What?” the unexpected question made her miss a step, but Niara’s steady grip pulled her back into position.

“Why are you here, protecting the Emperor? Why was your whole family, really? The Gladiols spent a thousand years guarding a man with no need for protection.”

“The Emperor needed protection,” Fel interjected, “If he’d had more security, we might not be in this situation.”

“He had your mother. She was there, and she wasn’t any help. So clearly, you’re not able to prevent any actual threats to the Emperor. Why is the Imperial Protector here, then?”

Fel took a moment to answer, focused on not tripping over her own feet. “It’s our duty.”

“Your duty’s to stand there and look pretty?”

“The Emperor wanted a bodyguard, so we did the job. It was never our place to question it.”

“It wasn’t your ancestors’ place. But tell me Lar wouldn’t listen if you told him you didn’t want to do a useless job.”

“I’m not useless,” Fel said, perhaps too quickly, “Maybe Emperor Alaric didn’t need my mother or my grandfather or everyone who came before them, but Lar needs me.”

The current song ended, and all the dancers shifted to match the new tune that was struck up. This new dance had the partners much closer together, so Fel could feel Niara’s breath on her face when she asked, “Do you think you can protect him when the Servant comes calling?”

“Perhaps not,” Fel admitted, “But at least I’ll be able to protect him from you.”

“Me?” Niara spun with the music, her back now to Fel’s chest. As she took Fel’s hand again, she turned her head so Fel could see the smirk on her face. Fel scowled.

“I’m not a fool, Rai. You and the Black Rose aren’t telling us everything. I don’t trust you in the slightest.”

“That’s rather hurtful,” she said, her voice wholly unbothered.

“I know what happened five years ago. Lar’s lingering feelings may blind him to your intentions, but I know you’re far from pure of heart. Know that I am watching you, and if I believe you’re a threat to his safety, I will not hesitate to drive my blade through your chest.”

Niara chuckled. “Worry not, my dear Felicien. The only injury from me our beloved Emperor is at risk of is a broken heart.”

With one last twirl, the music ended and this time Fel and Niara broke apart. Niara curtsied, then placed a hand on her chest.

“Though I suppose,” she said, “A broken heart is the most painful injury of them all.”

IT'S BEEN A WHILE

I know it's been a while since I posted the last time. I have probably not propperly introduced my twin daughters though. They are not Mateo's kids, but he is taking his role as stepfather very seriously, and loves them like his own.

I haven't posted much as we have been very busy with the curly youngsters, and the girls has been hitting the pre-teen year very hard. They are constantly moody and has a hard time getting along with each other. Not that it worries me much. That's just how teenagers are, and so a pre-teens.

So today, to stop the constant teasing and arguing with each other, we took one twin each. I took Sorine, while Mateo brought Larke out for a hack on two of our adult horses.

I got to take a single picture of them, as they road out. The mare Larke is riding is a mare we bought from @echointernationaljumpers. They had gotten her from a boarder who had to move back to Australia, and didn't know what to do with her, since they didn't know anything about the western disciplines at all.

So we have taken Jammies (OCS Thats My Jam) in, and even if we don't exactly breed Paints or Quarters we will find a use for her. She can maybe be a part of our curly breeding program in time. Otherwise she can be Larke's horse. My girl has already taken quite a liking to the mare, and talks about her as 'her horse'.

Kids and ponies d:

While Mateo and Larke was out for a hack. I asked Sorine to join me in the arena. She always seems much calmer when riding, so I thought that would do her good. She mostly rides the only adult curly we have at the moment, which is Fosmanta (RRS Fosmanta). She is a sweet mare, though she needs a little more of an experienced rider than Jammies does.

But Sorine is handling her very nicely. She is definitely the one who is the most interested in the technical parts of the riding, while Larke just likes speed and a good hack.

Hopefully we will, in the new year, buy a few cows, so the cow horse training can begin. That's something I have tried a lot when I was young in Texas, and always wanted to implement at my own barn. So that's something for the new year!

We will see if the curlies have any real cow sense when that time comes. Until then we have been allowed to use some of the cattle on a neighboring farm, if we just tells them in good time.

Batch 2 of my pictures of iris

first off, we have a picture of Iris in a casual outfit versus her superhero outfit. I never really designed any other versions of irises superhero outfit because the longer I drew my characters the more I found myself this drawing them being like a normal people with that being said, casual iris appears to be dancing and that’s because she is don’t think I’ve mentioned yet, but Iris is a ballerina. She loves dancing, and has been practicing ballet since she was little, becomes a reoccurring theme.

Then we have a portrait. I think this is the first time I drew iris with dark skin but it’s kind of hard to tell at what point her skin tone changed because I didn’t color in most of her sketches. I don’t know why but here it is the first picture I can find of her with darker skin

Then we once again have our my little pony designs. I don’t know why decide to draw the ponies wearing clothing I just did. I was kind a looks like a cross between sparkle works g3 and Babs g4

Although I am working on some new my little pony design for my characters, I don’t have one for Iris yet I do however have a bunch of G3, my little pony coloring pages that I used to flush out color designs for the ponies. Do you guys want to see her new color palette I can post to pictures.

Do we have yet another attempt to draw Iris in a Disney art style this one is based directly off of a picture of Ariel. No ones surprised

Then we have a bunch of portraits I did of all of my female characters I had at that point Idon’t know what happened, but Iris came out looking kind of Native American. I had colored versions somewhere, but they came out so weird and wonky that I must’ve buried them in a folder somewhere cause I cannot find them, I remember not liking the way they turned out and I know I still have them. I just can’t find them.

Then, finally, we have the body study for Iris, who also shared a page with kamili next to that we have a picture of some costume designs that also include the real world influences for their looks stories completely fictional so it doesn’t take place in the real world. Hence there are no actual, African-Americans, Hawaiians, etc.. These are just the influences that I drew on for their appearances
