A highly rated bromance kdrama. The chemistry between the two male leads, Rain and Kim Bum are excellent. It’s kooky, funny, and hilariously entertaining. It does though unfortunately get that middle half doom of gloom (stuck with filler disjointed uneven episodes) Luckily it picks back up in the ending making a successful finale. For those seeking the romance though I probably would look elsewhere but this is overall a really great supernatural fantasy drama.

The Zeldas are kind of the same. When we wanna differentiate between each games Zelda we use a specific name to do so. Here's a breakdown of each Link and their Zelda!

Name: Sky

His Zelda: Sun

His Games/appearances: Skyword Sword

Cool fact: When not including First, is often seen as the first hero of Hyrule and the first Wielder of Fi; A.K.A The Master Sword. Has a soul connection with a creature called a Loftwing, who I have dubbed as Crimson on this blog. Is mostly seen in a relationship with Sun because of their interactions in Skyword Sword, but I don't think it's ever been confirmed. Is Hella cute though.

Name: Four

His Games/appearances: Minish Cap, Four Swords, Four Swords Adventures

Cool fact: Four has the ability to split into four versions of himself, each reflecting an aspect of his personality (Red; protective, Blue; soft hearted, Green; still have no clue, and Vio; the brain cell). There was another part named Shadow who was, as you guessed, a shadow but he died. From my inference he was closest with Vio, but I'm embarrassingly unfamiliar with it. Four also has the ability to shrink to the size of a Minish/Picori; a race of mouse sized beings known for hiding trinkets and rupees in grass for said hero! Had a talking hat name Enzlo who ended up being a Minish in disguise. Did not get to keep talking hat.

Cool fact: Has masks. Lots of em. One in particular linking him to a war god dubbed the Fierce Deity. Had an ocarina that turned back time, but he broke the timeline (Like a ding dong). Timeline A; where he survived and defeated Ganon. And Timeline B: A.K.A the downfall timeline, where he died (like a noob). Often seen as the oldest of the group but we have no idea how old he actually is. Was raised by a tree and has issues with the moon. Got trust issues from a mask. In Linked Universe Lore, he is married to a farm girl name Malon- who wrote Epona's song.

Cool fact: Has a lover named Marin. She was not in fact real. Gave him trust issues. Also known as the Veteran for the sheer amount of adventures he's been on. Known as a hoarder, especially with rings that grant him special abilities and has a funky counterpart named Ravio (A merchant who reigns from Lorule, a mirror verse of Hyrule. his Zelda is Hilda, but he's not a Link so he doesn't get a paragraph. He does have a cool bird though named Sheerow and wears a funky hood. He's just a funky dude.) Legend is part of the Downfall Timeline, coming directly after that version of time, fell.

Cool fact: Is half fairy! It grants him the ability to use magic, especially healing spells and a lightning spell called 'Thunder', and he can turn into the size of a fairy with wings. Comes directly after Legend. Hyrule is also part of the Downfall Timeline, and is most often paired with Legend because of it. His Hyrule is particularly hostile with poisoned water and barren lands. Also gives him trust issues.

Name: Twilight

His Games/appearances: Twilight Princess

Cool fact: Fell in love once. Fucked him up. Nah, I kid. No I don't. Twilight was raised in a village called Ordon as a rancher before his journey. On said journey, he was faced with something called the Twilight Realm which turned him into a wolf (A.K.A. Wolfie). There he met the Spoiler Twilight Princess named Midna. While in game there were no confirmations on their relationship, in the Manga they did smooch. made me cry. Anyway, after their adventure together Midna goes back to her world, destroying the only thing that links hers and Twilights together as she did, offically ghosting him. Gave him turst issues. He wears a twilight shard around his neck that allows him to shift between forms as he pleases. He is Time's descendant and had Time as guide to him in his adventure in the form of the Hero's Shade. Twilight is part of Timeline A. The one that did not fall.

His Games/appearances: Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass (Depending on who you ask, he's also Spirit Tracks Link, but I do not think so)

Cool fact: Is a pirate! Had a pirate ship dad! Had a little sister, Aryll, that was taken by birds. Gave him trust issues. Lived with his grandmother and Aryll before Tetra who is, spoiler, Zelda, shows up and helps him find his sister. Tetra is so cool man, she's a pirate captain. Anyway, most often seen as the youngest Link. In his game, he wasn't even a hero lmao. Just some guy who's sister got taken and he went and found the triforce before merking Ganon RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES. He was just feeling a little silly. Wind, I believe, is part of some third timeline stemming from Time's adventure or in the Downfall Timeline as his Hyrule flooded, leaving most to live on high mountains to avoid drowning.

Name: Warriors

His Zelda: Artemis (my love <3)

His Games/appearances: Hyrule Warriors

Cool fact: He's got a scarf. Had a wizardess who was supposed to watch time and space fall in love with him. Gave him trust issues. Has scars from when he drew the Master sword; which dominoed into something called The War of Eras. Companions and other heroes were pulled to his time to assist in the war, including, but not limited too; Time (Known as Mask in this regards), Wind, Midna, Marin, Ravio, Linkle (A female Link who was originally Wars' sister but, that idea was scrapped), and probably more that I'm missing idk I haven't finished the game. Is Captain of his knight squadron and famously despises Traitors. His own Zelda turned into Sheik to assist in the battle, but she's perfect just the way she is <3 Does not fall explicitly into either time line.

Now, this is where things kind of get tricky. Wild can either be one hero on three adventures or three different guys who arise during their subsequent time. For this blog, we see them as three different people.

Name: Calamity

His Games/appearances: Age of Calamity

Cool fact: While his game is not seen as canon to the timeline, we include him because he's cool. Was part of a timeline where his Zelda unlocked his sealing powers earlier and saved them in time to fight the Calamity. He did not die, did not sleep for a hundred years, and kept his memory. Also a knight, also has trust issues, eats rocks. Does not fall explicitly into either time line.

Name: Wild

His Zelda: Flora

His Games/appearances: Breath of the Wild

Cool fact: Is the version of Calamity that's canon. His Zelda failed to awaken her powers in time, he, along with the Champions, died, took a hundred year nap, got trust issues, got memory issues, did not know wtf a stick was at the start of his adventure. Has a cool tablet called a Sheikah slate that lets him use runes (Magnet, ice, bombs, freeze time). In Linked Universe, he has scars lacing his one side. Is said to have had Wolfie as a guide during his adventure. Does not fall explicitly into either time line, but if I had to guess I would put it as Timeline A.

Cool fact: So, Sage was actually cultivated here! He is the Link from the newest Zelda Game, characterized by his anger and grudges held against Hylia. Does not have the scars, because of Rauru, but does have Fangs. Falls directly after Wild, as they are technically the same guy. When referring to the 'triplets' we are referring to Sage, Wild and Calamity.

OSTs that perfectly represent the Kdrama

Through the Darkness (2022) I recently finished watching Through the Darkness a kdrama about the first criminal profiler in South Korea Kwon Il Yong. It was a slow burn of a show and I imagine that if you are from South Korea it would really hit hard. Kim Nam Gil takes the lead role as the empathetic and intuitive Kwon II Yong.

Lullaby by The Nerd Connection provided the perfect accompaniment to the painstaking and painful mind hunter work of the main characters. The guitar provides a clear sense of time moving relentlessly forward, appropriate for a series which spans the years from the establishment to the acceptance and consolidation of unit as a key part of the institutional structure of the South Korean police force.

Strangers from Hell (2019) Creepy and utterly addictive, Strangers from Hell stares into the abyss and the abyss swallows us whole. I've written about the Hannibal parallels in the relationship between the two lead characters before but, just to reiterate, the sizzling chemistry between Yim Siwan and Lee Dong Wook is difficult to turn away from even in the most tense and gory moments.

The Rose's Strangers is a taut, grinding rock song which perfectly embodies the claustrophobic feel of the show. The backing vocals whispered behind the agonized voice of the lead singer communicate the persistence of the devil to influence while the lyrics emphasize the sensation of being trapped, slowly asphyxiated and wholly corrupted by evil.

Our Blues (2022) Our Blues wasn't everybody's cup of tea but, this drama, highlighting the struggles and small triumphs of different members of a close knit fishing community on Jeju Island kept me hooked until the end. It, along with Secret Garden, Something in the Rain, Run On, and The Island, are the reason that Jeju will definitely be part of the itinerary for my dream trip to South Korea.

With You sung by Jimin and Ha Sung Woon will forever be associated with Min Seon A's emotional journey. She loves her child deeply but cannot care for him because she is literally drowning in her sorrows. Her journey to self acceptance, recovery and healing, aided by Lee Byung Hun's character Lee Dong Seok, is determined and poignant and is perfectly reflected in the lyrics of the song, "I promise I'll never leave your love. My heart is beating 'cause of you"

Under Seongsu Bridge

... is a Korean music crew. Their name refers to Seongsu bridge in Seongsu-dong, which is the neighborhood they’re from. They have 6 members, are part of FLOCC and have Paloalto (who also lives in the area) as their biggest supporter. They released a collab album in 2021 which is hiphop and r&b (song recs at the bottom of the post).

It is said that they met in middle school where 365lit was bullied by the other members and then they became friends (?) - however, the crew wasn’t founded until 2019.

A Realization, 6 Years Later

I watched the movie. Spoilers under the cut. Also I finally realized which song was the Song of Salvation in Galaktikon II.

It truly was brutal. The ten year wait was worth it. Although the wait was long and arduous, we got our ending.

The beginning of the movie was hilarious, and you can see how the events of DSR really affected Nathan. I felt so bad for him. My poor little meow meow getting blow after blow to his little ego.

It's interesting that Nathan was the only person who remembered what happened in DSR while the others and Abigail didn't. Could it be that his connection with the Whale Prophet got him to keep those memories?

Edgar Jomfru is my favorite side character. I loved the little suit he wore during the funeral. He's really grown on me in this movie. I already thought he was cool and this movie really upped his character. His death made me tear up, but, he is now with his brother ;-;

Dick... one of the first recurring side characters to be introduced to the series. His death hurt.

The ending of the movie though... truly fucking brutal. When I saw Charles leading the Army of the Doomstar, I couldn't hold back my cheers. And then there was Fatty Ding Dong and Twinkletits! And Jean-Pierre! Right there alongside Charles too! Oh god I couldn't stop smiling.

Charles is so badass. The upgrade from bread and butter to spiritual saviors, it says a lot about Charles' character. And the fact that it was Murderface who saved Charles, *chef's kiss*

I cried at the end. I've been a fan of Metalocalypse for almost 15 years and to see their journey come to an end after their abrupt cancellation ten years ago, it's... it's a blessing to me. I'm thankful to Brendon for giving us an ending. Whether it be through Galaktikon six years ago or now with the movie, I'm thankful for Brendon never giving up.

Of course, I can understand if people think the movie was a little rushed. They had to squeeze the 5 episode mini-series Brendon had planned into an 80 minute movie. There are definitely some parts that feel rushed.

I do wish we got to know more about what the Doomstar is. And some more insight into the characters but, I still feel satisfied with what I have.

By the way, those Galaktikon II references. ;-;

When I listened to Galaktikon II, I wondered which song exactly is the Song of Salvation.

The Song of Salvation is Become the Storm. It was right in front of me the entire time. The literal title of the album is the Song of Salvation. I can't believe it took me six years to realize that haha ;7;

Opus Eponymous (2010)

The og. Papa Emeritus I aka Primo’s (aka “grandpa fucks”) album.

I love every song on this album, tbh. Play this on vinyl and light some incense- top tier. But my favorite has to be Con Clavi Con Dio because it rocks so fucking hard.

infestissumam (2013)

Papa Emeritus II aka Secondo’s (aka dang ass freak, aka bone daddy) album.

This album has the excellent spooky vibes and I love it. It’s so hard to choose a favorite but imma say Year Zero for being absolutely legendary, incredible to see live, and for the infamous uncensored (it’s out there) Papa dong shot in the music video.

Meliora (2016)

Papa Emeritus III aka Terzo’s (aka the flamboyant one, aka my beloved) album.

Oughhhhhdbdhsfj I love Meliora. It’s vibes are immaculate, sexy, and just OUGH. Also if you haven’t seen the music videos for Square Hammer and From The Pinnacle To The Pit, please do. My favorite song is Cirice. It rocks, it’s a good representation of the album as a whole, and it makes me feel things. (Second favorite is Mummy Dust because HOT)

Prequelle (2018)

Cardinal Copia aka Cardi’s (aka Cardi C, aka rat man, aka our beloved idiot) album.

I personally noticed a distinct shift in musical style on this album compared to the first three. I am no music expert so it’s difficult to put my finger on what it is exactly, but I love it. My favorite is definitely Witch Image, the lyrics make my brain go bbrbbrbrrrrrr.

IMPERA (2022)

Papa Emeritus IV aka Copia’s album part 2 (aka Copia got a promotion, aka the anointed one, aka Popia).

A masterpiece from start to finish! I know I’m not alone in saying that this album made me cry. In a good way. With everything that’s happened over the past couple of years it just… hits you hard. Despite the doom and gloom in the lyrics, it makes things feel better. Like everything will be ok. Is that a bit over the top? Maybe. But it’s how I feel, so there. That being said, my favorite song is Spillways. Another good representation of the album as a whole the rocks and is excellent for singing in the shower.

I have to say that I'm really intrigued by "delicate" and "2:by desire".

Delicate is a jwds fic inspired by the song Sweet Nothing by Taylor Swift. The fic focuses on the early stages of Joo Won moving in with Dong Sik post-canon, and him coming to terms with being in a relationship. It currently has some major tonal issues, and I don't really know what to do with it. But I'll share the opening paragraphs with you

Dong Sik doesn’t wear gloves when he washes the dishes and Joo Won can’t stop staring. 

This isn’t the first time Joo Won has noticed him doing it, if anything, it’s far more common than one might think. Dong Sik doesn’t use any foresight when washing the dishes and even allows the foamy suds to creep into the calluses on his knuckles, causing them to dry his hands out until they crack with speckles of flaky skin. After every time, it’s Joo Won who massages moisturiser into the brittle patches to help soothe his raw hands. Joo Won is starting to believe that the older man is doing it on purpose. Right now, though, with the winter sun's harsh glow casting their home into an auburn haze of warmth and safety, Joo Won can’t help but just watch. He knows he does it too often - “it” being his insistent observing - and he’s not entirely sure why he can’t take his eyes away from the man in front of him. It’s been this way since the first time he came across Dong Sik’s picture in a case file, and only escalated and grew with intensity with each passing day. But why would he want to look away? Why would he want to miss a possible clue that could lead to a hint, a piece of evidence, a lead, or just something that might mean that Joo Won knows him more than he already does? 

By Desire is an ongoing canon-compliant wip that is a part ii of my fic Indoctrination. It follows the events from episode 9 to episode 13, and all the in-between moments we didn't get to see. It's basically just Dong Sik falling in love with Joo Won and struggling with it, because... well... for obvious reasons. There are already two chapters published- I didn't mean for it to be a wip but... I'm... letting it marinate (yeah, we'll go with that lol)

Yu Yeon was wearing one of her nicer tops, an off-white short-sleeved thing that wasn’t frilly per se, but it definitely was far more girly than the usual boxy t-shirts she sports.  That top paired with her light blue jeans and the butterfly clips in her hair, made her look nice... as if she was making an effort. Which was silly because they were only meeting up with Jung Je and Ji Hwa at the fishing lakes, there wasn’t any reason to look nice. 

“We were meant to be having a nice day,” she mutters, hugging herself for warmth. That’s when Dong Sik noticed that her off-white top and its synthetic material had become almost completely see-through from the rain. He shrugs off his teal sports jacket and hands it to her. 

She pauses with a questioning look, he just shrugs and replies, “your- Uhm, you’ll be cold like that.” She looks down and gasps when she sees the state of her top. She ripped the jacket from her brother’s hand and was quick to cover herself, zipping the oversized jacket all the way to her chin. She didn’t need to thank him, the blush on her face was enough.

Dong Sik sat down with a heavy sigh, unzipping the bum bag tied around his hips and fished out a metal container. They were going to be stuck here for a while, he might as well be comfortable. “Come sit down, you’ll wear yourself out. We can’t go anywhere until the rain stops anyway.”

A neve caía do lado de fora em contraste às taças de champanhe que tilintavam de dentro. Na sala repleta de pessoas, viscos e mentiras que durariam somente por aquela noite, a música corria como se um tempeste estivesse a controlando a seu bel prazer. Talvez estivesse, de fato. Arianrhod não saberia dizer, já que era de seus dedos finos que as melodias surgiam uma atrás da outra.

Conforme crescia, ouvia a Sra. Houston constantemente dizer que ela deveria dominar ao menos dois instrumentos para que fosse interessante, porque uma moça deveria servir ao menos de entretenimento. Seu pai poderia ter contratado até um coral premiado para aquela noite se intencionasse, mas ter a caçula tocando era mais refinado, era mais discreto, era mais prazeroso. Enquanto a terrarium estivesse ocupada no piano, não estaria por aí se metendo em conversas que ele não queria que ela soubesse. O que ele não sabia era que ela queria estar ali menos que ele, e que não estaria em momentos.

Desde muito nova, ela sempre tinha se interessado por poções. Era a influência mais óbvia da falecida mãe sobre a filha. Farwa, que nunca tinha sido uma artífice notável, recorria às plantas e a Essência que lhe foram negadas sempre que podia. Assim era Aria. Ela tinha a Essência, mas tudo o que dizia respeito à sua educação mágica era mais negligenciado que seus irmãos. Praticamente autodidata, contudo, ela tinha aprendido coisa ou outra no passar dos últimos anos e não tinha muitos dilemas morais em testar com aquelas pessoas – afinal, não gostava delas.

O prato cheio era sempre os jantares. Todos eles comeriam ali e os que não comeriam, beberiam. Aos quinze anos, ela não era ninguém com sede de poder ou com o desejo de fazer os outros sofrerem, só precisava unir o útil ao agradável naquele Frostalia: se livrar de toda aquela gente para que ficasse sozinha e saber se suas poções funcionavam em grande escala.

Mal era meia-noite quando todos já tinham ido embora. O jantar servido às 22h tinha um tempero especial que começou a funcionar por volta de uma hora depois. Foi com prazer que ao som de Carol of the Bells as pessoas que passavam por si, não voltavam da porta de entrada. Um sorriso genuíno escapou pelos lábios dela no que bocejou. Não estava com sono, havia tomado do antídoto logo após o jantar, mas sentia as consequências de um trabalho bem feito. Fechando o piano e trocando a música que tocava pela que agora ecoava em seus fones de ouvido, ela caminhou em passos tranquilos até o quarto, quase dançando de degrau em degrau naquela felicidade soturna.

Se vista por outros olhos, a cena era uma tragédia cômica. A garota que tinha espalhado uma praga durante uma festa de Frostalia somente porque queria ficar sozinha. Era completamente egocêntrico de sua parte, mas ela não se importava.

Sentada na janela do quarto, devidamente aquecida com um cobertor grosso, acompanhada de uma caneca de chocolate quente e de A Frostalia Carol**¸ ela sabia das consequências possíveis daquele seu ato. Bem verdade, era quase divertido pensar na cara de Owen quando todos falassem de sua festa que sequer chegou na meia noite; ela ansiava para que o chamassem de entediante, para que falassem mal de tudo, para que o deixassem mal falado. Se isso custaria cicatrizes novas a desaparecer... não era um problema.

Naquele Frostalia, ela estava feliz em estar sozinha. Naquele Frostalia, ela tinha pela primeira vez a certeza de que era ótima dopando pessoas.

Frenkie De Jong được biết đến là cầu thủ bóng đá chuyên nghiệp người Hà Lan, anh hiện đảm nhận vai trò tiền vệ ở CLB barcelona cũng như là ở ĐTQG Hà Lan.

Chàng trai này bắt đầu sự nghiệp của mình tại Willhem II trong năm 2015.Sau đó, anh chuyển tới AFC Ajax với mức phí là 1 Euro. Đây chỉ là khoản phí tượng trưng và một điều khoản được ký trong hợp đồng.
