cumplane childrearing au where they get drunk together and sqh frantically shakes sqq awake in the middle of the night like "DUDE.. WE NEED TO INVENT THOSE WEIRD BABY SENSORY VIDEOS FOR OUR KID.." and sqq's like "o shit. You're right." And then they spend the rest of the night drunkenly planning how to get binghe to invent baby sensory videos using his dream demon powers while not actually explaining to him what videos are

sqh is a lot of things, but observant to himself he is not. there are a great many nights where he could have sworn he fell asleep at his desk, but when morning came he was in bed. its not until later, when lqg comes along demanding him that he finds out why he wakes in his bed. its the WAKE UP SLEEPYHEAD vine. lqg kicks the door down, sqh sits up, mbj sits up behind him, a lot more pissed off. lqg doesnt even register thats a demon he just turns around and leaves. bye. sorry for interrupting.
Liu Qingge really was about to beat his ass I know he was but also thinking of a sleepy little Shang Qinghua super confused about what's going on and Qingge PROMPTLY walking out is so funny

I am SO curious about the SQH Burnout Fic 🙇🏽‍♀️🙇🏽‍♀️🙇🏽‍♀️ i beg <333
i have a bad habit of writing a new sickfic to cope every time i feel unwell 😂 this one is SQH gets anxious about the future, overworks himself, and gets pneumonia. excerpt from near the end of the fic, which i wrote first for some reason?
Shang Qinghua isn’t sure what makes him aware of the change in the room. A shift in the air, a sound, maybe just the slightest drop in temperature. He blinks, sleepy and bleary, at the pages of the novel he was failing to read, feeling warm and syrupy from whatever was in the medicine Mu Qingfang was dosing him with. “My king?” Mobei-jun steps from the shadows silently, and comes to sit at the edge of his bed. He’s dressed down, unarmored— just soft silk robes and simple boots, no weapons or jewelry save a pendant around his neck. Shang Qinghua recognizes it as one he gave his king when he was still a disciple, some ridiculous one-of-a-kind protection artifact that he’d known to snatch out of a crumbling temple thanks to special author knowledge, about forty years before it was going to become plot relevant. He hadn’t realizes that Mobei-jun still had it. Had he been wearing it all this time? Mobei-jun’s cold claw-tips brush through his bangs. “Shang Qinghua,” he says, rumbling and familiar. Shang Qinghua blinks up at him. “My king,” he repeats. And, suddenly struck by the memory of exactly what position(s?) the king of the Northern Desert last saw him in, feels his face heat in a way that has nothing to do with any lingering fever. “My king! I’m so—” Mobei-jun halts him with a raised hand. “You are recovering?” “Yes, my king,” Shang Qinghua says. “I’m doing much better already.” “Good.” Mobei-jun pulls over the chair that Shen Qingqiu was sitting in earlier. The sight of his hulking form dragging over and delicately maneuvering into the small chair sparks something warmer than amusement in Shang Qinghua’s chest. “This king… must apologize.” Shang Qinghua’s gaze jerks up. “W-what?” “You were sick. Humans are weakened by the cold. I allowed you to stay and work in the North anyways, and missed the signs of your ill health. Qinghua could have died.” “But I didn’t. I wouldn’t have! My king, I was just sick, it wasn’t… as bad as all that. I’m a cultivator, it takes more than some cold weather to take me out.” He gives an awkward laugh. “It does take more than the cold. Qinghua was overworking himself, and was hiding from this king.” “But I overwork myself all the time,” Shang Qinghua says, the words coming out more earnestly than he means them to. He drops the book and wraps his arms around himself, looking away. “I’ve been working like this since I was a disciple. I don’t understand what’s changed. I should have just felt bad for a little bit and then dealt with it and gotten better. It shouldn’t have been such a big deal.” “I am sorry,” Mobei-jun repeats. He runs his fingers through Shang Qinghua’s loose hair again, and Shang Qinghua leans tiredly into the touch. “I… regret. The part I played in not allowing Qinghua to rest. Then, and now.” Shang Qinghua’s face feels hot. He scrubs at his eyes, the feeling only intensifying as Mobei-jun continues to run his cold hands through his hair, his claws pleasantly scraping against his scalp, the touch comforting. “It’s fine, my king,” he says. “It is not. But I will endeavor not to make the same mistake again.” Shang Qinghua leans miserably into Mobei-jun’s cool touch.

Cumplane consensual somno after a long day being a peak lord. Sqh is very sleepy, but still wants to get some, even if he falls asleep during.
“-bro.”
The warm fuzziness of sleep crowded around Shang Qinghua's awareness.  It was the softest blanket, next to the ones underneath him.  He didn't want to let go.
“-plane-bro.”
His whole body felt so relaxed right now.  Usually, one orgasm didn't reduce him to this state, but it had been so busy this week.  At least for An Ding peak, which honestly wasn't that surprising.  They were the ones who carried much of the grunt work.
So unappreciated.
“Airplane-bro.”
Shang Qinghua tiredly blinked open his eyes, not even remembering when he had shut them, and yawned.  It took a few moments to remember where he was and what had happened just prior to sleep.

About Tigerheartstar, he did literally threaten RiverClan lives unless they surrendered. He held Duskfur down and asked her how many of her clanmates lives it was worth giving up until RiverClan submitted to him. At the gathering Icewing was the only RiverClan cat to say that RiverClan is doing well, but she’s his favored cat, he’s made her leader and she doesn’t oppose his takeover as much as the other RiverClan cats. Also he is being written super consistently this guy has just always been like this, look at SqH, TS and in Raging Storm just as the more prominent examples. He’s a fascinating and very consistent character but not one I like on a personal level but respect from a writing standpoint. He always believes he is in the right, and he will always justify whatever actions he does. He’s not necessarily a good person but he fully believes he is. How they’re writing him in this arc is extremely consistent with his previous characterisation and I have absolutely no problem believing this is the kind of thing he would do. No matter how good his intentions may have been he did forcefully take away the independence of an entire clan. You don’t go with almost all your warriors to RiverClan at the crack of dawn if you don’t expect a fight.
will not argue on squilf's hope or raging storm as i've not read the first one and i barely remember avos' second half, i am sorry....my memory is garbage :(
there's no real point where tigerheartstar explicitly threatens their lives, the only real mention of that is from duskfur (you know. the one who instigated the fight). she put her clanmates in danger by starting that fight, i've already pointed out that frostpaw was about to get mothwing to talk to him.
here's the fight, i think it's intentionally left vague (and to further the stupid fucking "tigerheartstar like tigerstar? oh nooo!" conflict they insist on keeping up) whether or not he'd actually kill her. i get where you're coming from though but i'd say duskfur's "i'd rather die than receive help" is annoying so therefore im afraid i have to support tigerheartstar here.
Tumblr media
considering they uh attacked him, i think him bringing his clan was a smart choice. tigerheartstar and his clan was the most affected when tc started to go off the rails, makes sense to me he'd want to prepare (especially since the clans love to fight each other. him bring his warriors feels like a smart choice considering the entire nature of their society but that's less canon and more me thoughts).
then in the preview, he does exactly what he promised them and leaves.
Tumblr media
he's not there to take over, he's there to help, and while i absolutely agree that people can disagree about exactly how helpful he was, i think it's unfair to treat him as the sole reason the whole thing went down so violently (or, in much poorer taste when discussing cat books, refer to it as "colonization" or "imperialism" words have meaning).
as for icewing, i will save thoughts on that until the book comes out. i want to see her in action as a temp leader before getting ahead of myself, i get your point with her though!
i think you're right that he may not totally be in the right with his actions but i stand by my point. riverclan attacked first and tigerheartstar left as soon as he helped. considering the fact that he spent the last arc having to pick up thunderclan's pieces and this arc lost a kit because of riverclan's mismanagement, i think his actions are understandable imo. Still, the arc is early and we have yet to see what'll happen.
ty for the ask, i appreciate your thoughts!! im so sorry if this is rambly and there are errors or it is incomprehensible at points. im sleepy.

Moshang + fake/pretend relationship (modern au)
"This is my boyfriend", MBJ announces as they enter the Mobei Clan's mansion.
Next to him is SQH, a writer he just met at the coffee shop they both frequent. A place where a CEO like him and an aspiring writer can meet without pretenses.
SQH smiles, nervously.
He asked SQH to come with him on a whim.
His aunts were always trying to set him up, and he despised that. A waste of his time.
Instead, he sat in front of SQH, like they had started doing after one morning where all tables were occupied and SQH 'kindly' let him sit with him.
"It's my uncle's wedding this weekend. Come with me."
"What?"
"I'll pay you."
And whatever protest SQH had..died in his throat.
"Ok!"
_
"Everyone's looking at me", SQH says, hugging his arm. It's nicer than he thought. And SQH looks gorgeous with half his hair up, and the pastel yellow suit with embroidered sunflowers, against his baby blue suit.
They match in a way he never imagined.
"You're with me. You think I've brought people here?", he doesn't even go to family reunions, but his uncle is finally marrying and getting away from him.
Of course he'd attend.
"Don't think so. You're always so secretive, I thought for a month that you were related to some criminal organization!"
"You wrote a short story about it."
SQH looks surprised.
"I read it, get over it."
"All right, Mobei".
His smile and the way he says it sends a shiver down his spine. He asked SQH to call him by name, yes, but this is an outcome he never predicted.
Way to adorable.
"Oh, my, xiao-Mobei, are you blushing?", his grandmother asks, pinching his cheek.
"Of course, nainai, his boyfriend is too cute", one of his cousins says, winking at SQH who blushes furiously. He doesn't like that, somehow.
"We'll get our seats, nainai", he says, gruff, taking SQH away as his grandmother laughs.
"You have a big family...", starts SQH when they finally get to their seats.
"I know."
"It must be nice. They look nice," SQH says.
It is. And sometimes it isn't. His family fights a lot, but comes together on days like this. It's normal, he thinks.
"They seem to like you, Qinghua". It's still new the taste of his name in his mouth, but he likes it. A lot.
"We'll see after a whole weekend with me, Mobei. I doubt they'll think the same."
He doubts SQH's words.
___
And he's proven right the day later. After a day of swimming at the lake and preparing food along his multiple cousins, SQH feels like a part of the family.
A part of him.
That night, he leaves the couch and lays down on the bed, next to SQH.
"Sorry, should I take the couch now?", he asks, sleepy.
"No. Stay here."
It's night, it's late, and he can't help but feel warmth when SQH hugs him in his sleep.
It feels right.
__
"Here's the money", MBJ says, reluctantly, as the car stops outside SQH's building a few blocks from the coffee shop. It's too far from that place to go every morning. He saw a couple more closer than the one they usually frecuent.
"Ah... yes... I..", SQH looks at the envelope, but doesn't take it.
"Qinghua", he sees the shivers, the flush creeping from his neck to his cheeks. Beautiful.
"Yeah...sorry," his hand trembles as he finally takes the envelope. It feels wrong after a weekend under SQH's warmth, to just go back to their morning routine.
Sitting together in a coffee shop, talking a little until he finishes his coffee and has to run for a meeting, thinking about the writer he left at the coffee shop.
It feels wrong to go back after nights spent together and shared smiles.
"Be my boyfriend", he says.
"Again?"
"No. For real this time," he smiles, somehow knowing the impact he has on SQH. How much he blushed and losed track of his thoughts.
"Really?", he asks, a goofy smile plastered on his lips.
"Don't believe me?", he leans in, closer, a hand lifting SQH's chin.
"I...I do..."
"Then?", he waits, lips a breath away from SQH's.
"Yes"
He smiles, leaning in. Kissing him, feeling SQH's hands on his cheeks, warmth spreading on his skin.

I would like you to know, I am now shipping MBJ/SJ and I just tried to look to see if there were any fics, I sadly didn't see any yet. Pls take responsibility.
PLS IM SORRYYY *does a lil dancey dancey for the MBJ/SJ agenda* BUT NO SERIOUSLY IM SORRY I vow to make at least a one shot of MBJ/SJ, keep promoting in hopes a better writer can ;u;
This is a very VERY tiny crackship, and if anything the only content of MBJ/SJ would include SQH in the mix... or its SY. But WELCOME to my tiny lil hobbit hole of ice husbands hell~
I offer atm,
MBJ being domesticated like a feral cat with food. Each time he sneaks onto QJP he is met with a grumpy looking PL Shen with a plate of food, cup of tea and sleepy music being played while he eats. They have little to no communication the first couple of times. However, the silent peace is mutually appreciated. A young MBJ that was still trying to keep himself safe from his uncles attempts at his life, and a newly acquired PL that just wants peace from the hectic martial siblings and their acidic behavior.
When MBJ finally speaks, SJ is surprised that the boy he thought was another grimy street kid was actually a runaway from some crazy family life. SJ pities the boy but does nothing more than feed and play for him. When MBJ asks about himself SJ just strikes a chord that would make anyone feel unsettled and off. "This master is a humble peak lord, I take in many but they must prove themselves." The immediate denial of joining the peak would surprise SJ. Most street kids dream of becoming a strong and powerful cultivator and enjoying the spoils. He questioned the authenticity of this mucky little run away. MBJ suddenly stops appearing outside his home and SJ is crestfallen. Another person grew tired of him and abandoned him. He is a bit more distant from others after being hurt by someone dear to him again, even if he doesn't admit it. YQY tries to pry but is met with worse silence than before.
(SJ is pissed when he meets MBJ on the field during the demon invasion that is killing disciples. LBH is fighting the demon away but SJ is no match against this stronger and bigger man and gets bride napped. LBH panics and screams for his Shizun and a toasted bunhe fighting the abyss to get his pretty and despondent Shizun back.)

SQH burning up with fever and MBJ just hugging him to his chest. First he feels confused that SQH cuddles close and grips his robes in his half-unconscious mind, but for some reason he doesn't push him away, but envelopes him with his arms, watching the other's cheeks flush even darker red as they fall asleep snuggled close. After this incident, they have a mutual agreement of falling asleep in each other's arms.
Sorry, this took me forever to get to because I kept getting lost at SQH rubbing his face into MBJ’s demon lord tiddy window and like gosh what an icon I wish I could do that…
GOSH OKAY SO JUST THINK:
MoBei Jun’s very faithful servant/spy has been unusually quiet??? He hasn’t seen him in a while? Of course, this shouldn’t be such a problem, but he can’t help but wonder. Did the weak human betray him?? Did he die??? What’s going on?? So he pays a visit to An Ding Peak just to make sure… and finds our An Ding Peak Lord slumped over on his writing desk…
SO HE WAS JUST LAZY???
MBJ tries to wake him up, and Shang QingHua just grabs MBJ’s hand and rests it on his forehead to help him feel cold. Then the very sleepy and fever hazed Shang QingHua just latches onto him and puts his forehead in the demon lord’s tiddy window because it wasn’t enough. MBJ tries to lay him down in his bed, but SQH just doesn’t let go??? So MBJ’s just like ?? guess I gotta lay down too???
IMAGINE SOMEONE WALKING IN TRYING TO LOOK FOR SQH AND THEY SEE THIS??? IMAGINE MBJ’S LOOK OF “IF YOU WAKE HIM UP I WILL MURDER YOU”!!!!!
Am I right to feel like there might be some unrequited feelings going on here? I can really see Shang QingHua beating himself up afterwards because his stupid fever brain acted on his feelings a little… too strongly…
but gosh okay I just really want MBJ to whisper really sweet things to SQH because he thinks he’s asleep… “I wonder why, when I hold you like this, I don’t hate the warmth you give me.”

Can I just say that I love Till The Fields, Above and Beyond and Below, and Updated Stalled. Reconfiguring sleepy Ming Fan and Su She are so cute and SQH and SQQ are the ultimate BFFs! -Wren
Little A-She holds a super duper special place in my heart and I feel so bad for how mean I’ve been to him in recent chapters. Baby doesn’t deserve it, but needs must for a solid plot… TwT sigh~! One day, A-She, I promise you it will be better!
Till the Fields is another one of my personal favorites, I’ve always been a huge fan of Greek mythology and of Hades in particular, so it was a lot of fun to write a Hades and Persephone Cucumberplane AU. It just really fit somehow? - I’m playing with the idea of a follow up chapter for that one, but if there will be one it might not be for a while because I’m trying to focus on other stories first.
Sleepy Ming Fan…. Ugh. He just… somehow keeps getting cuter? I have plans for when he’s older and all, but I’m starting to wish he never grows up and just stays baby and adorable forever and ever… crying rn

Mobei Jun POV because people keep asking for him lol ;3
Shang Qinghua does not make an appearance at this morning’s war room council.
It really should not make that much of a difference. Mobei Jun should be able to manage the council himself, should be able to direct his generals without second guessing his own orders. He should be able to lead his own kingdom without the ever present aid of his right hand human advisor.
Except. Shang Qinghua does not make an appearance at this morning’s war room council, and nothing ends up getting done at all.
Mobei Jun dismisses the lot of them two hours early. The gathered generals and council members and network agents don’t look incredibly surprised — instead, they have the gall to look both relieved and concerned in equal measure, and Mobei Jun finds that he cannot even fault them for it.
The North has grown used to having Peak Lord Shang at its helm, always managing every faucet of it, and now it seems that not even a single council meeting can be attempted without Shang Qinghua’s input.
It should be insulting. It’s ridiculous, really, how Mobei Jun has become so reliant on a single person. It should be embarrassing. He should feel offended, ashamed, pathetic.
Mobei Jun can’t feel any of these things.
He was raised as the heir apparent of the Northern throne. The crown prince. He was taught the history of his kingdom, learned its politics and rituals and government. It was his birthright. He knows how to run a kingdom.
Or, at least, he knows how to run a kingdom the way that his father and the kings before him would have.
The kingdom is prospering now, however, and it has nothing to do with how his predecessor would have ruled it.
Because Mobei Jun had also spent a good half of his life with Shang Qinghua beside him. With Shang Qinghua giving intelligence and advice and then, steadily growing bolder and more comfortable, just taking over this task or that so that Mobei Jun would not need to trouble himself.
And the North flourished.
Mobei Jun may be the king. He may be the one that sits on the throne and has the final say. He may be the one that the rest of the world and the realms credit for his homeland’s current prosperity. But there isn’t a single citizen in the North, Mobei Jun foremost, that does not know who truly rules this kingdom.
The gathered demons troop out of the hall without a single complaint, all in agreement that they should instead meet up at a later time. That being a time when Lord Shang is more available is unspoken but understood by everyone present.
Mobei Jun steps down from his throne and leaves through a door behind it, his cloak sweeping behind him as he makes his way down the hidden back hall that leads toward his royal wing.
His father used to live in that room, before he’d died. His mother had lived in this one. Mobei Jun’s own quarters he passes by similarly, before coming to a stop before a set of doors near the other end of the hall, more toward where the corridor meets with the rest of the palace.
He’d wanted to situate the suite closer to his own, and subsequently the throne — for reasons pertaining to safety, of course — but Shang Qinghua had argued extensively until Mobei Jun gave in.
He always gave in.
Truly, Mobei Jun is weak.
The two guards standing outside the door salute him, silent as the grave, and he eyes them both with a sharp glance. Their presence here makes it clear that what he seeks is beyond those doors. Neither of them speak, not even to greet him as he stands there, and it makes Mobei Jun suspicious.
He is quiet, thusly, as he pushes the doors open and steps into the room.
He surveys the suite, eyes roving over each space. The foreroom is empty and still. The bedchamber just beyond its open doorway to the right is similarly devoid of life. As is the kitchen and dining area.
Mobei Jun pulls the door closed behind him as he steps further into the suite, careful to make sure that it does not make a sound as it shuts. He walks past the foreroom and enters into the office, eyes immediately zeroing in on the person he has been searching for.
Of course.
Shang Qinghua is folded over his desk, face pillowed into his arms, breathing steadily and quietly. He’s fallen asleep over a half finished document, the ink not even dried and therefore making a mess of his sleeves. Papers and scrolls are scattered across the desk around him, a tall stack of finished work sitting precariously to his left.
Mobei Jun steps over to stare down at him in silence. Shang Qinghua is dead to the world, a soft and barely audible snore escaping him as he turns his head to the side. There’s a smear of ink across one cheek which contrasts lightly with the dark smudges beneath his eyes that are not made of ink.
His small movement causes the tower of papers to sway. Mobei Jun reaches out and lifts the top half of it away, settling it down on the table beside it. He does this again so that there are three stacks of paper, instead. They take up more space on the desk, but pose far les of a risk of falling over and making a mess. Or toppling onto the sleeping peek lord.
A soft, incomprehensible hum tumbles from Shang Qinghua’s lips, and Mobei Jun reaches out to run a thumb over the ink on his cheek. It’s still damp, smearing across the skin, and comes off onto his fingers.
Catching himself, Mobei Jun withdraws his hand. He stoops down and gathers the man into his arms, lifting Shang Qinghua up until he rests snugly against Mobei Jun’s chest.
He stands there for a moment, gaze riveted on the sleeping face. Shang Qinghua turns his head into his collar and breathes out a puff of warm air that tickles Mobei Jun’s exposed collarbone.
He takes in a careful breath, and makes his way out of the office, carrying Shang Qinghua across the suite and over to the bedroom.
It’s odd, having Shang Qinghua in his arms like this. He fits so neatly, small but firm. Comfortable. Mobei Jun has, before now, only ever held him like this when he was injured or unconscious. To have the peak lord here in his arms without a sense of urgency pushing him forward and not letting him enjoy it is startlingly different.
He steps up to the bed and leans back, carefully balancing Shang Qinghua against his chest with one arm braced around him. He uses his now freed arm to grab the corner of the covers and peel them back.
With a space open in the bed, now, Mobei Jun readjusts his hold and settles his armful of cultivator onto the mattress. Holding Shang Qinghua upright for a moment, he slides off the ink-stained outer robe and then lowers the man down onto the pillow.
The peak lord immediately turns onto his side when he comes into contact with the soft sheets, reaching out an arm to throw over the pillow as if to hug it to himself. He falls still, and lets out a quiet sigh.
Mobei Jun watches him for a moment, feeling a sense of calm come over him. He folds the outer robe and sets it aside, then reaches down and gets to work at sliding off the slumbering peak lord’s boots. One after the other, and in the process the left leg of Shang Qinghua’s pants slides up to reveal the smooth skin of his calf.
Mobei Jun pauses. The boot held in his hand slips from his grip and lands on the floor with a dull thud, and his eyes snap up to Shang Qinghua’s face without his meaning to.
The man lets out a murmur, taking in a slow breath only to release it in a quiet sigh. He turns his head to nuzzle it into the pillow, and then is silent.
Mobei Jun stares at him for a few lingering moments, taking in the way that his hair has come undone ever-so slightly, to spread across the pillow in a gentle wave. Once he’s certain that the man has indeed not woken, he slowly turns back to the bare, unclothed leg that sits before him.
It’s just a leg. Nothing interesting. Or, that would be the case, surely, if it was not Shang Qinghua’s leg and, in addition, covered in sprawling, artful images.
The first thing that Mobei Jun notices are the scales. Winding with intricate detail, each individual one almost glimmers up at him with real life breathing from them, set into each other tiny and overlapping by the dozens to make up the entirety of the serpentine dragon that coils around Shang Qinghua’s leg. They’re gossamer and a lovely blue that reminds Mobei Jun comfortingly of ice and sapphires. The lower half of the creature’s body disappears up into Shang Qinghua’s pant leg, the dragon’s head curled to bite its jaw around the peak lord’s calf. It’s clawed talons are buried in a sea of lilac gentians that covers the entirety of the ankle, rising up to gently caress the body of the beast and grace the rest of Shang Qinghua’s leg with bursts of violets and blues.
It’s beautiful. Done by the hand of a master artist, clearly. The details are so incredible and lifelike that it’s almost as if he can just reach out and touch them. Feel the sleek, cold scales of the dragon under his palm, the petals of the flowers brushing against his fingers like the beat of butterfly wings.
All he feels is heated, smooth skin.
Mobei Jun snatches his hand back, face uncomfortably warm. Quickly, he crouches down to retrieve the errant boot and turns away to set the pair neatly on the footstool at the end of the bed.
Very consciously, he does not look down again at Shang Qinghua’s leg when he turns back, and instead reaches out to grab the edge of the bedsheets in his hand. He carefully tosses them over the slumbering peak lord, covering him completely up to his neck.
Mobei Jun stares down at the man, who lies pliantly and snug, face smoothed out in dreamless peace. The ever-present tenseness to his brow in his waking moments is conspicuously absent, and it makes Shang Qinghua look ever-softer in his sleep.
Mobei Jun is suddenly overcome with the wish that he had the ability to do for this man what a good sleep can. That he could, somehow, take away the constant stress that Shang Qinghua piles upon his own shoulders. That Mobei Jun could manage, himself, to ease the burden of his many duties and ensure that Shang Qinghua can feel at peace like he is now, where he can be awake to actually experience it.
Mobei Jun pivots on his heel, turning his back on the peaceful and comfortable and overly inviting scene that a sleeping Shang Qinghua presents.
There exists a tightness in his throat that he will need to leave the room to clear, least the noise cause the peak lord to wake. That won’t do — Shang Qinghua has foregone sleep too many nights in a row already. He needs this.
Mobei Jun wishes that the man could need him, for once, instead.
He walks forward and pushes his way out of the room, making sure to close the door quietly behind him. Both the guards that stand outside of it eye him from the visors of their helmets, but neither say a word. Good.
If they had made even a peep, Mobei Jun isn’t sure he wouldn’t just haul back and hand them their lives. He is tense enough for it and he knows himself. Which won’t do, clearly, as it might wake Shang Qinghua.
Mobei Jun stalks down the hall, feeling tense. Too bad that Bai Zhan peak lord hasn’t come to visit alongside Shang Qinghua. This king could really use a good battle, right now.

SQH's tongue piercing is actually the centre of a flower seal matrix...HC that in An Ding piercings are common. There are Qiankun piercings, talisman piercings etc. They are hella convenient and An Ding is all for efficiency. But tongue piercings are like custom and have passwords calibrated into them. If you want to enter a storage space, you must not only have the password seal but the seal matrix in the tongue piercing must match... And if you aren't authorized... You are in for a wicked treat! Peak Lord has highest clearance..even higher than Zhanmen-shixiong who has to have An Ding peak lord with them to open the high security vaults. This isn't a secret but also kept on the down low but the An Ding version of the down low is pretty much air tight for everyone else. It keeps intruders busy even if they get password matrices. So imagine if the Peak Lords running to An Ding because Qi Qingqi unearthed that some really evil dudes have some artifacts that can bypass any lock but when they turn up the intruders are fried. They ask what happened and SQH just tells them about the piercing and just opens his mouth... Voila! Piercing + seal right there.... Cue some really hot and bothered Peak Lords....bonus points if SQH was in just two robes cos he's casual on his Peak and it was a hot summer....Pretty sure the agriculture Peak Lord fainted...hehehe
God this is so absolutely perfect that I need 70+ fanfics going into intricate detail of all of this scenario right now immediately.
Just the sheer mental image of SQH being dragged out of his leisure house, dressed in his leisure clothes, just having woken up from a desperately needed, how dare they interrupt, the An Ding disciples in witness are SEETHING leisure nap, by peak lords who are SO inconsiderate and only thinking about this specific artifact they need for something or other, but they can’t open the warehouse without SQH?? Shoving a sleepy and half awake SQH at the door like “do your thing shidi???” and SQH just stares at them for a moment before walking forward and opening the door as if it was never locked in the first place???!
They’re all like “um excuse me?? LQG himself tried opening that thing like twenty times earlier and not even his muscles could do it” and SQH is just like “first of all, if you had managed to break this door I’d have skinned you all alive and roasted your entrails upon an open flame. Secondly...” and then he just smiles at them sleepily, gives an adorable wink, and sticks out his tongue to show off the piercing array that unlocks the door.
And the rest of the peak lords have all the air knocked out of them like they have been sucker punched, and they realize they have made a series of mistakes here, because UMMM
here is Shang Qinghua, smallest of their martial siblings, half dressed with one side of the outer robe sliding down his shoulder bc they dragged him here so inconsiderately, the trailing ink of a tattoo peeking out against his collar bone (and holy shit he NEVER has his collar bones on display, SQH always wear high collared underrobes. MQF is having trouble remaining standing) and looking so calm and sleepy like they’ve never seen him before, winking cutely at them and sticking out his tongue to show off a TONGUE PIERCING like it’s no big deal, ah?????
Yeah, Rong Qingsheng absolutely does faint. Dead, straight to the ground. Total Knock Out. Ju Qingsong is too distracted by SQH to even think about catching him 😔👌🏻
.... I’m gonna have to write those 70+ fics myself, aren’t I.

The part where SQQ will grab his bro to his own peak because of how hot and bothered all the peak lords are seeing this tempting sleepy beauty will just incite the already seething An Ding Peak into a riot. Like how dare he! He might be good friends with their shizun but how dare this man take their beloved shizun away from them?!
Meanwhile all SQQ does is hide sleepy SQH in the bamboo house so his bro can finish his nap in peace 😂 if he gets to watch his bro be adorably sleepy and attractive during that, well, that’s just a benefit of being bros isn’t it 😏

Shang Qinghua usually does his hair in a bun so I can imagine how everyone will go crazy with his hair down paired with either a sexy cute sleepy expression or a sexy dangerous just out of battle expression
When the Hair Is Down, everyone knows that SQH isn’t taking any shit rn, because he’s either a) too sleepy to give a fuck, or b) ur ‘bouta die bc he ‘bouta kill you 😂👌🏻

i hope anon and you don't mind but i can't help but imagine while sqh is busy being his sleepy adorable self, all the peak lords are just staring at him and then suddenly BAM MOVE OUT THE WAY the an ding disciples just push the peak lords away and fire carry sqh back to the leisure centre while glaring at the other lords for disrupting his peaceful time!! (i can see them princess carry too but im pretty sure sqq would just grab sqh for himself and be like 'qing jing is better'
I certainly absolutely do not mind at all, THANK you! Yes!!! The An Ding disciples swarm en mass before their Shizun can accidentally acquire any more KO points against the peak lords!
Said peak lords are shivering now, uncertain why the normally meek and well-to-do An Ding disciples are stirring such a cold and ominously threatening aura into the air right now. Please, little disciples, what did they do???
