Four Types Of Makeup, Awsten Knight, Zombie Eyes, And More

That title makes it sound more exciting than it really is. Well, multiple things here, some made out of necessity, others for fun. First up and above is what I creatively named 'AwstenMakeup' as that's who it's for and I don't know what else to call it. 4 Swatches, 2 of the green cross things and 2 types of stars. I eyeballed a few pics and made basic shapes in Inkscape and used GIMP to further size and place them and they turned out fine enough for me. Also looks good on Werewolves because, well, he is one. :)

My initial color swatches may not be the best, in fact for ingame I made them darker, but this is makeup and has sliders so you can do that yourself. This isn't the hair he normally has in my game and I made it all myself but I need to revise the files and colors before I share them. Eyeshadow slot.

Next up is what I call 'DeadEyes' as, well, they're for zombie makeup. I 'needed' something like this as I wanted to copy Alex's zombie getup in this music video, saw nothing like it anywhere, so I just made my own. A bunch of swatches as I couldn't figure out what size and color looked best ingame. I also started with a base of vanilla eye bag texture to get placement correct, and I just kept that in as the first swatch. Eyeshadow slot.

Gotta say, Strangerville Possession is close enough to Zombiism.

Next one is in the same outfit, I converted a vanilla Face Paint, I think from Get Famous? To the Blush slot as I wanted to combine it and those Face Paint eye contacts to add more dirt look, but all the original swatches are there. Yeah in case you want this too. Blush slot.

Last one was kind of a spur of the moment thing. I was looking through and cataloging every single CAS category from Sims 4 Studio's list to learn about what eevry slot does, what species use them, etc, and I found 'Skin Overlay', which turned out t be all the stuff like the sickness affects and the weird paint and the new mold. I figured they might be fun as makeup in the rare chance you wanna pretend your sim is sick or something or just wanna cover them in paint idk. I made the paint and mold overlays go over the clothes as I'm pretty sure they're meant to. Well I saw the paint go under and that looked dumb. Sliders make it fun. They are, as they say. Face Paint category.

Arnleik Ruddy Face, blush/face paint/acne

I wanted a really intense, blotchy, full-face red bloom for the gentleman on the left, almost an alcohol flush, but I suck at CC finding and couldn’t find anything quite right. So I attempted to make one!

This is a red blush concentrated at the nose and cheeks but spreading over the entire face, including the forehead, mouth, chin, and neck. The “less blotchy” version still has blotches and subtle veins, while the “more blotchy” version has even more blotches and spots.

The blush and face paint versions have all color sliders enabled, so you can tweak it to hopefully work with a variety of skintones. There are 8 swatches: with vs. without nose/forehead highlight, less vs. more blotchy, and human hues only (useful for regular Sims) vs. rainbow hues (if you want to test it out with unusual skintones).

The CAS acne version doesn’t have color sliders, so I put 7x4=28 red/human swatches.

The blush and face paint versions are set to CompositionMethod 2 and SortLayer 5600; they behave like blush. The acne version is also set to CompositionMethod 2, but SortLayer is 2100 so it will layer like freckles (under makeup).

Sims 4 Version

Years ago, I made Rishid’s face carvings for the Sims 3 under the creator name SallyCompaq122. On request, I have converted them for use in the Sims 4.

If you like the Sims 4 and want to play with this content, you can download it here.

This face paint is base-game compatible and works for male and female sims ages child and up.

There are 6 color presets and some resemble ink while others look like subtle scarring.

UPDATE! I have changed the CompositionMethod to correct layering issues with the eyebrows and other makeup items. If you have this content already, please re-download!

And then, as Smiler headed off to their job (having done their best to regain their passion, as they’d picked up a Fear of a Dead-End Job recently -- don’t worry, Smiler, it’s just to get you through college; then you’re gonna have a more exciting career), two things happened in relatively quick succession --

1. Guidry made his appearance! Yes, the ghost with the most (helpful options) appeared in Victor’s greenhouse, since I was actually staying around the place long enough for it to be haunted. Victor chatted with Guidry, getting to know him and asking about how best to handle living in a haunted house (besides, you know, not being at the house at 9 PM, when everything kicks off :p), before heading upstairs to try and get some sleep (Guidry “borrowing” his and Alice’s computer in the meantime) --

2. Alice, after sneaking in some more sleep and another ham dinner, finally transformed into her werewolf form! And I have to say, I don’t hate what the game gave her. It’s not going to be her FINAL werewolf form (I have painting and mods to improve it), but it did the job for her first night. Anyway, as a newly-transformed wolf, she was full of Fury and ready to rampage, scratching up one of the dining chairs before I could stop her. I quickly sent her outside so she could run around without disturbing anyone --

And discovered that even a rampaging werewolf doesn’t want to go out on a rainy night without their umbrella. XD This actually ended up being really useful, as it meant I could just have Alice go places savagely and she’d walk slower because she had her umbrella out and could only stalk around semi-menacingly. And THAT meant it was a lot easier to keep her out of Victor and Smiler’s way while she was rampaging -- I mean, Victor was easy ANYWAY, he was asleep, but when Smiler got home from work (passion for their job regained, yay) all I had to do was keep her stomping around the outer perimeter of the farm and howling in the greenhouse while they kicked to pieces twisted vines and continued charming the specters in their booty shorts outfit. XD Which meant that Alice spent her entire first night as a werewolf out and free without scaring anyone --

Meaning she immediately unlocked the ability to transform at will! Nice. :D She also had two ability points, so I promptly picked up Scavenger (for looking for treasures) and Wolf Nap (for sleeping anywhere) and let her just plonk down on the porch for a snooze. XD Not a bad start to werewolfism -- she even has an appropriate temperament, “Wracked With Guilt,” meaning she gets increased Fury gains when sad. Given what she’s like in the games, worrying about being a monster does seem right for her.

And that leads us into Spring Friday! And we all know what Spring Friday is. . . Next time, love is in the air as Victor has two dates in a row with his partners. :) See you then!
