Sebastian Sallow 🐍💕
I read somewhere that @silverxstardust wanted to see someone draw Sebastian with a towel around his hips after his shower…… Oops…. I think I did it e_3_e
His hair… it’s always a torture for me x)
Between us… I perfectly imagine my MC with him at this moment. He just loves to tease her like this, but Ariane knows how to turn things around

Trend on Twitter that I’m bringing to Tumblr: Shock your followers with facts about you!
I cannot be trusted to take care of plants. 🥀
I hate coffee!!!
I love spoilers but only when I look them up myself! I know the endings of most books long before I get there.
I was a sorority girl in college.
I rarely drink because my husband doesn’t. I would almost always prefer a Diet Coke. Specifically, a McDonald’s Diet Coke. 🥤
I appear very organized at work, but I am incredibly messy at home. There are doom piles in my closet and all over my desk.
I am afraid of tape measurers. 😳
I LOVE the sensation of free-falling.
My husband and I eat at Texas Roadhouse almost once a week. 😅
I’m kind of ashamed to admit this, but it came up in a Discord server recently... After really thinking about it, I’ve only read the Harry Potter series once the whole way through! I always say I will read the books again someday, but then I just end up reading fanfic instead. 🤪
No pressure tags: @hotcinnam0nspicy, @portalsprincess, @findingtruenorth23, @juneymont, @underthenightskydreamsneverdie, @silverxstardust, @animasola86, @morelikeravenbore, @sloanesallow, @tarotwitchy-main, @evaslytherpuff, @xxluna-rougexx, @ladyofsappho, @ellivenollivander, @writing-intheundercroft, and anyone else interested in the game! Let’s get to know each other better! 💛

Drenched in Magic // Sebastian Sallow x MC One shot
Tumblr media
A/N: this was a wonderful colab with @darch7995 ! I simply wrote the story for her idea and HERE is the audio she did! Seriously check out her page sometime bc her audios are INCREDIBLE
All screenshot is by @silverxstardust - she’s got great work as well!
Warnings: nudity, skinny dipping, kissing, flirting, etc
Word count: 4k
The burning in her thighs was almost distracting from her current plight. Almost. Not only had Sebastian sallow drug her from the warmth of the castle right before dinner for a brief treasure hunt in the highlands, but he’d gotten more than either of them bargained for when they’d stumbled upon a camp of dark wizards. Unfortunately, one of Rookwood’s men recognized her as the one who’d lead to their boss's demise, quickly alerting others in the camp to her and the slytherins presence, and thus the unforgivables being hurled around them had started.
Sebastian, wanting to make good on his promise to never cast one again, immediately took off running, pushing her ahead of him to do the same. And they had continued running at top speed, using whatever spells could come to mind to protect them as many of the wizards turned into various animagus forms, running beside them as vile creatures like dark mongrels.
She was thankful for the massive amounts of walking, stair climbing and often running required by the average hogwarts student - the castle was large and avoiding detentions meant frequently breaking out into a sprint in the corridors. Slowly but surely Sebastian was able to pause every now and again, firing confringo and various spells at the opponents, reducing the number of wizards chasing them with time.
“Glacius!” Sebastian shouted as he hurled the spell out over his shoulder before carefully pulling her body into his. She initially went to protest his move as he pulled her along, seeing no point for him wrenching her into his side, but as the lime green ball of light flew past her body, the place she’d previously been standing, she realized why he had done so.
Having no time to focus on that, she turned around, seeing the enemy frozen in place by Sebastian, and deciding that given the man had attempted to use Avada Kadavra on her, then she was justified in using extreme force…
“Diffindo!” She shouted, turning back around to the difficult to see path in front of them as they continued to run. Pushing ahead of Sebastian, who was slowly starting to waiver with his pace, yet she could still feel him on her heels as they ran.
“Have I ever told you that I really like those trousers ? Like really like them” Sebastian said as they pressed on.
“We are running for our lives, and all you can focus on is my wardrobe Sallow? I never knew you were such an observer of fabrics. Perhaps you should fill that open position at Gladrags now that Mr. Hill’s assistant eloped!” She retorted, annoyed he could find time to flirt with her despite their situation.
“Hard pass. It’s less about the trousers, and more about what’s in them that I find so appealing” he responded and she didn’t have to see his face to know he was smirking.
“Perhaps wait until we are no longer in danger to make comments on my-“ she coughed and although hilariously timed it was mostly from the exertion to her lungs. “Assets?” He asked mischievously, accentuating the former part of the word.
It was at that exact moment she felt a firm smack against the same area she could feel his eyes staring despite running in the nearly pitch Black Forest.
Quickly tossing a side eye over her shoulder as they ran she frowned, realizing that even when their lives were at stake, he was still going to behave like a pig. Figures. Before she could even open her mouth to question him further he responded cheekily.
“I believe it’s called multitasking darling, you should try it someti- Incarcerous!” He shouted, and she heard the thud of yet another body drop to the ground as she turned to see a man tied to the ground. Feeling Sebastian’s hand grabbing at hers, she didn’t question when he thrust his non-dominant hand into her own and began to yard her along.
“Multitasking?” She whispered under her breath rhetorically but Sebastian only chuckled at her stunned reaction.
“Multitasking. Like saving your ass, while also staring at or ” Sebastian trailed off, once again reaching down and this time grabbing a firm handful of her bottom as she yelped, not expecting him to have done something so untoward with their lives on the line.
“What in Merlin's name?!” She cried out, and just as she went to yell at him for his behavior, she saw movement out of the corner of her eyes shouting “Bombarda!” Watching how the witch who’d meant to attack them, flew back against a tree with a sickening smack.
“Now what did that witch do to you to deserve such excessive force darling? Could it be you’re reacting this way because you’re riled up?” He teased her, deciding they should make a stand against the few wizards closing in on them. Sebastian knew that deep down if angered enough or truly threatened, the girl would unleash unforeseen magic that would reduce enemies to shreds.
“Riled up? Riled up?! Why on earth would I be riled up Sallow?!” She asked him frustrated at his behavior while the exhaustion burned in her lungs. She was so angry at the boy for continually making passes at her then backing away. He was such a horrendous flirt in private yet when questioned by Ominis, Poppy or any of their other classmates he seemed less than interested in her. The constant confusion grew more and more frustrating to her, as with time, she’d come to really like the boy.
He was tall - much taller than he had been in 5th year - and had only grown more handsome as he’d aged. His wild brown hair had only gotten more unruly. His smile, still charming and full of light. His shoulders, more broad and his frame filled out with more muscles than she’d have expected. Gone was every trace of baby fat, however still the boyish appearance she grew to love had remained somehow. I’m his dimples, in his eyes and in his playfulness. Sebastian sallow was by far the most handsome man she’d laid eyes on.
Giving her that charming Sallow smile he lightly pulled her body behind his own as he cast protego and a red beam from the bushes beside them cast off his forcefield as she gasp. She needed to stop allowing herself to become distracted during dangerous scenarios, as he was capable of flirting and fighting apparently but she couldn’t hold her own when he was standing so close.
Trying to separate from him once more, he pulled her against his body tighter, casting her a warning gaze downward as he continued the onslaught of teasing by saying “not yet princess” just before another beam bounced off his forcefield.
It frustrated her that he continued to harass her. It frustrated her that he was so damn good at fighting while also riling her up. It frustrated her to know that he was so calm under pressure all the while she was dying within his hold. She was frustrated he held her that way and still he refused to make a move unless under life or death scenarios. It frustrated her the way his thumb stroked against the skin of her thigh gently…
As soon as he deflected the charm, he dropped the protego. And she’d had enough between him and the dark wizards after them both. Feeling the electricity so frequently in her veins charging the air, she decided that now was as good a time as any to let it go. Pointing her want to the sky, she saw the remaining three enemies closing in, pulling down a lightning bolt from the heavens as she reduced the last three of their enemies to ash.
“Wow. It still amazes me how incredible you look when you pull that magic out of thin air. A thing of dreams truly” he said as he continued to hold her against him by the hand he’d moved from her thigh to her waist, and cast down a sly grin with a small wink.
At that she huffed, pushing him away and brushing herself off. She ran a hand through her disheveled hair, realizing that her braid had mostly come undone and recognized soon she’d likely have to redo it. Finally able to catch her breath she walked forward, seeing that one of the fallen wizards had dropped a small coin purse ahead of her, and just as she reached down to grab it she heard Sebastian call out for her.
“MC look out!” She didn’t have much time to react before he hurled himself towards her, tackling her into some bushes as a loud whooshing sound and an animalistic growl filled the air.
“Falling hard for me now aren’t you MC?” He asked with a chuckle as he held her cradled against his chest , ignoring the fact that a River troll had already spotted and charged at them.
Rolling off of him and onto her back, she quickly picked herself up and moved out of the way. Unfortunately Sebastian moved the other direction, as the troll moved between them, cornering her back against its den. Continuing to swing its large staff at her, she continued to dodge and deflect while whatever spells Sebastian hurled seemed to do little damage to it.
Concentrating, she used her ancient magic, spurring herself past the beast and landing herself next to Sebastian, at least she attempted to do so, but miscalculated the distance, crashing into him and sending them both flying backwards. As they did so, she could feel his arms once again snaking around her to cushion her fall.
Immediately all she could feel was warmth. Sticky, warmth and the most foul odor she’d ever smelt. Troll boogies.
“Oh that’s downright foul… and here I was having a good hair day” Sebastian chided out before he rolled out of the barreling troll's way.
As the beast reached its staff up to swing at her, she lifted her wand, using ancient magic once more and catching its weapon mid air, flinging it back into the trolls face, disrupting it before once again calling down the lightning to finally defeat it.
Looking over she saw Sebastian staring up at her from the ground with a smirk on his face.
“Don’t.” She warned him as she examined the absolutely filthy state they found themselves in. Covered in dirt, sweat, blood and now troll boogies.
“What?” He asked feigning innocence as she rolled her eyes
“You know what.” Her tone was threatening but Sebastian hardly seemed to mind as he continued to mess with her.
“You know, I didn’t think it was possible for anyone to look sexy while covered in troll boogies but here you are, proov-“ Sebastian was interrupted by a loud howl.
“You have got to be kidding me!” She replied, annoyed at the now incoming mongrels. Deciding she was done fighting for the time being she reached a hand out to Sebastian, and with him distracted she decided to use her newly acquired skills in apparition to get as far away as she could with a location she knew well in her mind…
“Wha-“ Sebastian looked slightly green at the sudden transportation but quickly regained composure before adding “if you wanted me alone darling all you had to do was say so”
Instead of reacting, she simply swatted him away, heading out from the entrance of the cave. Hoping to leave before Sebastian asked too many questions, she knew that the small borough of bainburgh was nearby, and there they could access the floo flame to get home.
“What is this place?” Sebastian asked, seeing the large carving of the graphorn above them, and she sighed seeing he had firmly planted himself at the entrance to the last keeper trial - the one she had gone in only a few years before.
“This is the entrance to the last keeper trial. I uh, had to tame a graphorn and it opened the door” she exclaimed casually as she continued to hope that he would shuffle away and drop the conversation.
“You what? There’s, but you, how?” He asked, still in shock at what she had told him. She simply shrugged asking “can we leave” while gesturing to the mouth of the gorge as he gave in and followed her.
“Why did you never tell me?” Sebastian asked softly.
“It happened around the same time as the catacomb. You were grieving. I didn’t want to bother you with all the keeper stuff. Then Fig- we don’t need to talk about it.” She explained and he relented, knowing that she often bottled up her emotions, as he did.
“Where are we heading?” Sebastian asked, allowing a change in subject.
“Bainburgh is not a far walk from here, we can take the floo -“ she started but he interrupted.
“It’s past curfew so the floo is shut off to the castle. That and I uh… dropped my bag of powder back when I knocked you to the ground” he exclaimed sheepishly.
“Wonderful. I just want to get these troll boogies off me.” She said rolling her eyes as they came to the beginnings of the forge, seeing jobberknols flying overhead before landing above a waterfall.
Sebastian seemed to have noticed the small pool of water at the base of the cliff as well bc he looked to her, wiggling his eyebrows as he pulled her towards the water.
“Well then Princess, your wish is my command. I’ll have those boogies off you in no time” he exclaimed as he marched the pair of them over to the water's edge.
“Sebastian that water is likely freezing, besides I can assure you, the extent of the grime I want off my body goes much further than what you can see” she nearly whined out, desperately wishing she’d stayed at the castle. She would’ve been bathed and in her night dressing, long asleep if he hadn’t convinced her. But one look into those puppy dog eyes and she'd been a goner.
“Warming charms exist for a reason. And as for the rest… I won’t look if you don’t” he teased, dropping her hand to start working off his plaid school jacket and starting to unbutton his waist coast.
“You can’t be serious” she deadpanned
“Deadly. Besides I heard that once dried, troll boogies are nearly impossible to get off your skin and hair-“ she started to explain and the fear alone of being caked in the vile substance was enough to have her started to undo the latches on her corset style vest.
“Fine. But I’m serious Sallow, no peaking” she warned and he turned out. As he did so, she faced the waters edge, knowing he’d given her the privacy of going into the cool water first. Slowly she removed layer after layer until she was bare, undoing the already messy braid, before wading into the cool water until it covered her from the neck down. In the moonlight she realized how difficult it would be for him to actually see anything, a comfort that allowed her to call to him.
“Alright, I’m facing the wall if you want to come in now” she exclaimed and she had anticipated him to slowly walk into the water as she had, but at the final piece of fabric she heard hit the ground, she soon was sprayed with the large splash his body made as he dived into the water.
Coming up for air he chuckled, expertly swimming towards her, while maintaining a respectable distance as she felt the cool water against her nipples.
“Damn, forgot the warming charm” he reminded her and she sighed realizing they’d be cold until they got out.
“I can go get my wand if you promise not to look-“ she tried to reason but he only swam closer, stopping just shy of her before standing up. While she was covered almost entirely, the tops of his shoulders and chest came into view. Seeing the patch of hair covering the center of his chest her words faltered on her tongue.
“See something you like darling?” He asked at her fish out of water expression.
“I - I’ll get my wand. Excuse me” she went to move but he reached forward, grabbing a shoulder to stop her, keeping his body at a slight distance.
“You know there’s other ways to keep warm right” he teased and she’d finally had enough.
“Would you stop it sallow!” She demanded with a frustrating sigh, pulling free of his grasp as she ducked completely underneath the water to rinse the last of the grime from her hair before breaking the surface.
“Stop what?” He asked, and if he hadn't moved closer while she was under the water, she wouldn’t have been able to see his genuine confusion, not just the fake innocence he loved to tease her with.
“Stop flirting with me when you have no intention of actually following through with anything” she warned and he quirked an eyebrow at her, continuing to close in on her as she moved back.
“What do you mean ‘no intention of following through’?” He asked, quoting her and she shrugged.
“I know you only flirt with me for fun or to see me get frustrated. It’s all some game to you, I know it’s not real” she replied somewhat sadly as she stilled her movements, sinking into the water some more, leaning her head back to see the stars as she felt the cool highland air nip her nose.
“That’s quite a bold assumption to make.” He replied, somewhat defensively but also slightly upset that she would assume something so poorly of him.
“Is it? You never have made a genuine attempt at courting me. Only making obscene comments every now and again or teasing me just to see me blush, then laughing at how red my face gets. How could I not assume it’s some game to you?” She replied, not looking at him as she continued to stare at the stars while soaking in the water.
“Have you perhaps considered that I am just bad at expressing my emotions. That it’s easier to make lighthearted jokes at the things that scare me” he asked her and she pulled her head back up, water drops sliding down her face and neck as she pushed all her hair back.
“I scare you?” She asked confused.
“MC, you terrify the shit out of me” he exclaimed with a distant look in his eye and for once she decided that perhaps she should be the one to tease him instead. Moving closer to him, she stopped just shy of his body, pushing him down so he was covered more by water and level with her.
“You said that troll boogies are hard to remove once they dry” she claimed, pointing to his hair which he has still yet to properly scrub.
“I mostly said that to get you naked.” He admitted bluntly
“Well you got me naked and now I’m offering to make sure all the grime is out of your hair. Can you just shut up and let me help you” she replied and he could only bring himself to nod as she moved behind him, and he dipped his head back as she had previously.
She brought her chilled fingers up to his soaked locks, feeling how silky his hair felt when wet and separating the strands from the sticky substance they had both fallen into earlier. Eventually she worked his hair until she was certain it would be salvageable with a real bath. Noticing the serene expression he wore as he had closed his eyes she commented “you really like having people touching your hair, don’t you”
“Only if by ‘people’ you mean the most beautiful witch I know then yes, I do enjoy it” he replied, looking at her before he pulled his head back free from the water and turned his body to her.
“Do you have an off switch somewhere I’m not aware of?”
“I do, but I’m not quite sure you want to put your hand on my cock and -“
“Sebastian!” She interrupted as he chuckled.
“Sorry, you sort of walked into that one” he gave her a toothy grin before noticing her mild shaking. In the brief amount of time they’d been in the water she was already cold.
“Here I can see you are freezing” he said holding out a hand and she shook her head.
“You think I’m just going to let you feel me up because I’m cold?” She asked and he shook his head with a curious grin.
“I didn’t realize that was on the table, perhaps that’s a better idea than what I had in mind-“ he teased only to feel her smack the exposed skin of his back.
“Feisty. I was going to try wandless magic but I wanted you to be behind me in case we have another confringo style disaster. As lovely as you are, I’d hate to see you without those eyebrows that are so often furrowed at me” he explained and she realized he was simply moving his body in front of hers and she accepted his hand, trying to ignore the way her thigh brushed against his leg as she moved around him in the water. Even the briefest skin to skin contact sent shivers up her spine.
Carefully using wandless magic he was able to slightly raise the temperature of the water around them until it was no longer freezing but it was still by no means pleasant.
“There, don’t want to get too crazy and turn us into a caldron but that’s an improvement… are you feeling alright?” He asked her sudden concern and if she had to guess it was over her distant expression which has resulted from the brief touch under the water.
“Never better.” She said bluntly as she looked at the way the moonlight reflected off his dark eyes or his soaked brown hair clung to his forehead instead of the fringe’s usual place of being pushed off his face.
“Are you sure?” He continued to step towards her with concern.
“Positive” she replied, stepping back, only to find herself up against a rock in the water as he kept coming forward. eventually planting himself directly in front of her, to the point she could feel the occasional brush of his legs against hers as the water lapped around them and the most from the waterfall fell around them.
As Sebastian looked at her with her flushed cheeks, she looked down embarrassed to have been caught in this position with him, but as she did so she realized that the faintest outline of her breasts would be visible through the surface of the water. Looking up at him, she saw his vision trained on exactly what she’d noticed.
She couldn’t find it in herself to reply as his eyes snapped back to her own. Instead she let him take the lead, pushing his hand out and planting himself against the rock behind her as he scooted closer.
“Are you as scared of me, as I am of you MC, because I gotta tell you: dark wizards, mongrel and trolls don’t scare me, but this terrifies me” he admitted while looking at her through downcast eyelids. She didn’t say a word, only flickering her gaze down to his lips as he continued to press his body closer. Bringing a hand up she laid it on his chest , but didn’t push him away, simply holding it there. Underneath her palm she could feel his heart pounding. The feeling of his heartbeat and the nervous shakiness in his breath told her he wasn’t lying.
Finally finding the last bit of courage she pressed off the rock and slowly brought an arm up to loop around his neck, her body floating in the water as she gently tread. At first he seemed surprised but quickly wrapped an arm around her bare waist, feeling her soft skin with the other.
“Positively terrified Sallow… are you too frightened to kiss me or..?” She teased and he leaned in pausing only briefly as he hovered his mouth over hers to ask
“You know there’s no going back to the way things were before if we do this?” He asked and she nodded, tipping her face up and closing the gap to answer his question.
He groaned at the feeling of her lips on his and the gentle way she clung to his body for support as he could stand in the water while she was too short. Hoisting her up slightly, he moved a hand down to grope her curves under the water's surface as they kissed.
Breaking away he remarked “Merlin you’re so beautiful” he said sincerely as he rested his forehead on hers.
She giggled at his compliment, kissing his nose before responding “easy for you to say when you’ve already gotten me naked and we haven’t even been on a proper date”
“You don’t think slaying trolls isn’t a wonderful date actively?”
“Certainly not traditional”
“Have either of us ever been traditional?”
“No I suppose not” she replied once again chuckling.
“Come here, how often do we find ourselves truly alone… I’m not wasting a second of tasting those sweet lips of yours” he demanded, pulling her close as they kissed under the moonlight, entranced in the pool together

~ •●• ~
Here are some Sebastian Sallow GIFs that I created from a YouTube videos from @AFGuidesHD, @aiyariaart and @silverxstardust.
To be honest, I don't really know what to think of Anne Sallow. She's not evil but I think the game gives us so little information about her that it leaves us asking a lot of questions. I also wonder what relationship Anne and Ominis had... What I do know, however, is that I hate Solomon Sallow !
So, here is this third batch of GIFs on Sebastian Sallow. I invite you to go look at the Tumblr accounts of @aiyariaart and @silverxstardust which have very good content; and also their YouTube channels (particularly that of @silverxstardust which makes very beautiful videos of Sebastian and MC).
You can also find some GIFs of Hogwarts Legacy in my fanfiction We had it all, available on Wattpad in English and in French (Nous avions tout).

[ ↓ Chapter 1 ] -- [ → Chapter 2 ]
“What are you doing?” you yell at him as you shove him away, your eyes wide and your lips tingling. Sebastian stares at you, his wet hair stuck to his forehead.
“I was kissing you,” he yells back over the noise of the heavy rain pelting down on you.
You can barely hear nor see him through the downpour, the storm loud in your ears, dragging at your drenched robes. “What?” you ask, even though you know damn well what he has done and said.
He takes a step towards you and you take one back instinctively, keeping your distance. “Come on, I know you feel the same!”
You shake your head. “No! We can't do this, Sebastian!”
Lightning flashes around you and you gasp and flinch when an ear-splitting clap of thunder makes the earth beneath your feet shake badly. He is with you immediately, his hands on your face as he keeps you from running away from him. His dark eyes bore into yours.
“Sebastian,” you whisper breathlessly, your hands moving up to grab his wrists. “Don't...”
“Stop fighting this,” he says almost sternly. “Haven't we danced around each other for long enough now?”
“We can't do this to Addy...” you reply, even though your heart is fluttering inside your chest the longer he holds your face.
You see him clench his jaw, more and more rain drops running down his freckled face. Blinking rapidly against the water gathering in your eyes, and you can't be sure if it's just the rain or something else, you stare at him, swallowing hard, your breaths shallow.
As another thunder rolls along the coast, you flinch again and by doing so, you move forwards and suddenly your arms are wrapped around his torso and your lips are pressed right against his. But instead of pushing him away again, you lean into it, holding onto him while the storm lashes around you, and he is kissing you back with a yearning that both of you have long tried to suppress.
And still you wonder how you ended up kissing your best friend's boyfriend.
Several weeks earlier:
“And this is Sebastian,” Adelaide said with a wide smile on her round face, her blue eyes lighting up when she motioned to the Slytherin boy you knew all too well.
You'd met the small Hufflepuff girl on your first day as she had welcomed you with such a warmth and selflessness that it hadn't surprised you how quickly you two had become best friends. She was the cutest little gem and you quickly decided that you would do anything to cherish and protect her. She was also the first real friend you'd ever had and after your horrendous arrival at Hogwarts, it was a wonderful change of pace to have this gentle girl by your side.
She would show you around the castle, tell you funny anecdotes about every corner of it, and introduce you to the other fifth-years. You were quickly overwhelmed by all the information and new faces she presented to you, yet when she walked with you to a group of boys standing outside the Charms classroom, you felt something rushing through your veins that made you focus right away.
His dark eyes were on you immediately. “Oh, we've met, Addy,” he said with a chuckle and you couldn't help but blush slightly under his gaze. “And I doubt I'll ever forget about the girl who was the first to best me in a duel...”
You remembered your first encounter with Sebastian Sallow very clearly. Cocky and a little full of himself, but in the end he had turned out to be a good sport and more supportive than you would have given him credit for when you had blasted him off the duelling platform. There was certainly something about this boy that piqued your interest.
Next to you, Adelaide laughed softly. “Of course, how could I forget your glorious defeat?” she said and smirked up at the tall brunet. He looked at the Hufflepuff then and for a moment you wondered why these two were so close, but with Adelaide being so sweet and friendly to literally anyone, it didn't surprise you too much.
She proceeded to introduce you to the other boys, but you were barely listening as you kept looking back at Sebastian, who was suddenly very keen on not meeting your gaze. You didn't think much of it and tried to focus on other things as well. Classes commenced and you quickly found yourself busy trying to juggle your new environment, school work and assignments and on top of that the confusing ancient magic business.
But at the end of the day, you were grateful to have a friend by your side to keep you grounded and relaxed enough to live through the stress of this new adventure that you just hadn't anticipated when you had first gotten your acceptance letter. And pining over boys hadn't been on that list either, yet here you were, lying on your bed with your feet in the air, laughing and talking to your new best friend about a boy she had met over the summer.
Your contact with the other sex (not including family members) had really been non-existent prior to your time at Hogwarts, so you absorbed every word she told you, and it didn't even matter that she never said the boy's name, you were still cheering for her and happy she had met such a special someone.
“And you know,” Adelaide just said, twirling her blonde hair between her fingers, “even though I've known him for a while now, I've just never really seen him like that...”
“Like what?” you asked with a smirk, trying to coax more out of the small Hufflepuff.
“Well, like more than a classmate!”
“So he's here at Hogwarts too?” you exclaimed and leaned up on your elbows.
“Yes, have I not mentioned that? It's –”
In that moment the door to your dormitory sprung open and Poppy Sweeting came barging in, carrying a large stack of boxes that clattered all over the floor. You immediately scrambled to your feet and helped her, quickly forgetting about your current conversation topic. The shy brunette thanked you, and sometime later you found yourself in a circle on the floor in the middle of your dorm, surrounded by your roommates, with Poppy quickly falling asleep, Lenora laughing louder than was necessary and Adelaide talking about her special boy some more, her round cheeks bright red.
“So have you kissed him yet?” Lenora asked with a smirk.
Adelaide blushed even more, then nodded shyly. “He kissed me...”
“And? How was it?” the other girl demanded to know.
“Good! I think? I don't know... yes, it was good. He is definitely a good kisser,” the blonde laughed quietly and you couldn't help but feel a little jealous, and somehow you kept thinking back to a certain Slytherin and wondered how his lips would feel like.
“I bet! Did he use tongue?”
“Lenora!” Adelaide exclaimed and hid her face behind her hands. You giggled at her reaction.
“I'm just curious! I've heard they are particularly good with that!”
“Who is?” you asked, raising your eyebrows at the dark-haired girl.
“The Snakes, of course,” she laughed. “I mean, come on, isn't it obvious?” You and the blonde exchanged confused gazes, before the other Hufflepuff sighed deeply and explained: “Come on, do I really have to spell that out for you? Tongues that slither into mouths?”
While Adelaide blushed some more (and you started to get really worried about her complexion by now), you just groaned and laughed at Lenora's blatant words. Yet at the same time you slowly connected the dots and you wondered which of the Slytherin boys had stolen Adelaide's heart.
Days went by and more and more school work was thrown your way. It was certainly exhausting, but with the blonde girl by your side, be it at mealtimes or during classes, it wasn't all too bad. You connected with her over the fact that she was an orphan and lived with her uncle (a fate her still unnamed boyfriend seemed to share as well), while you lived with your aunt and cousins.
You would talk about anything with her, you even shared those things Professor Fig had insisted on keeping to yourself, but you just had to tell someone. She was a good listener, kind and patient, and always found the right words to console you or make you laugh. She was such a sweetheart.
The end of the week approached and you had gotten the task to restore your school supplies that you had lost during that awful dragon attack that would still haunt you in your dreams sometimes. When Adelaide offered to go with you, you were very excited, and even more so when she mentioned that she would ask her special boy to accompany you as well. After having learned a lot about him (except his name), you felt as if you knew him almost as good as she did.
Saturday morning came and after a lengthy breakfast and a lot of commotion at the Hufflepuff table (because breakfast was always a big deal at your house's table, especially on the weekends), you made your way to the Bell Tower entrance next to the small blonde girl, chatting and laughing and having a good time already, when you noticed a certain Slytherin boy standing near the door, waiting for something.
It took you an embarrassingly long moment to connect the dots and it only registered when Adelaide would walk up to Sebastian and throw her arms around him and he would hug her back with a smile and a light kiss to the top of her head.
Your heart literally froze in that moment and in your mind you went back to list all the things she had told you about her mysterious boyfriend and suddenly it all made sense and you could have kicked yourself for not realizing it sooner. Because you had indeed been picturing him when she would talk about the boy in her life, but in your mind he wasn't her boyfriend, he was yours, and the things they would do together, you would do together.
You had spent the last week throwing hidden looks into his direction whenever you had the chance and the more you had seen of him, the louder your heart would beat inside your chest. You had never been in love before, but you knew now that this must be what it feels like – and as soon as you realized that, you felt your heart being squeezed violently by the sight of your best friend looking dreamily up at the boy that you wanted to have in your own life.
Swallowing your emotions, even though it was very hard, you stepped closer, suddenly feeling very uncomfortable to spend the day with these two love birds. But Adelaide was a sweetheart after all and quickly let go of Sebastian and turned back to you, smiling widely, doing her best to make you smile as well. You did, eventually, and nodded politely at the Slytherin boy, who watched you closely for a moment, before he grabbed his girl's hand and motioned you to follow him.
“Let's go, ladies,” he said with a smirk and all you could do was walk beside Adelaide, trying to forget about the boy walking on her other side.
Yet somehow you found yourself quickly enveloped by both of their charms and even though you were literally the odd one out in this constellation, they tried their best to include you. Now it was both of them who showed you the little shops and cottages of Hogsmeade, helping you pick out the things you needed and you felt more and more comfortable in their midst.
Talking to Sebastian also seemed to be easier than you had thought. Whenever he would ask you a question, he would look at you and listen intently to your answer, and you felt yourself blush under the intensity of his dark eyes more than once. He must have noticed at some point, as he kept teasing you with that smirk he seemed to wear all the time on those lips that you stared at more often than you would have liked to admit.
The same lips would sometimes find the top of Adelaide's blonde head and you would be reminded of your situation once more with a sharp sting to your heart. It was a cold, sudden pain and you would clench your hands into fists and hide them in the pockets of your robes. You were conflicted, very much so. You wanted the small Hufflepuff to be happy, and she was very happy, smiling and laughing and blushing and joking with the boy that – despite everything – seemed to claw his way only deeper into your aching heart.
You wanted to be her, you realized then and it only hurt more, just thinking that about your best friend. She had been so kind and lovely to you since your very first day and you owed her so much. And even though it gave you physical pain, you pushed your own desires aside and focused on the blonde girl, your first best friend, who you could tell anything and be yourself around and who was there for you no matter what. She was more important.
And frankly she had known Sebastian longer, so it was her good right to have him. At least that was what you tried to tell yourself.
“How's that list of yours looking?” a deep voice then cut through your thoughts and you looked up with a surprised frown, feeling something hot rushing through your stomach as you met Sebastian's brown eyes.
You cleared your throat and looked down at the parchment you were holding. “All done,” you then said and looked back at him, smiling shyly.
He smiled back at you and you thought you'd be melting on the spot, if it wasn't for Adelaide grabbing your hand and your attention with a cry of excitement. “Then let's have some Butterbeers!” she exclaimed and you forced your gaze away from the Slytherin boy still watching you.
But before the three of you could head to The Three Broomsticks, you heard a rumble in the streets. Curiosity got the better of you and along with other nosy visitors and residents, you walked towards the town circle – only to find yourselves confronted with a giant troll. You felt Adelaide squeeze your hand and try to pull you away, while you stood there and stared, along with the tall boy on her other side.
“Guys, please! Let's get away from here!” she pleaded and when you looked at her frightened face, your eyes met Sebastian's and he too struggled to do the right thing and indeed run from the beast instead of watching it destroy the town circle.
But before either of you could do anything, the troll was being led away by a group of witches, and while your heart was thundering from the unusual encounter, you felt the wand in your hand tingling badly. Hearing the girl next to you take a shuddering breath of relief, you turned to her with a comforting smile, as did the boy holding her other hand.
“I'm glad Officer Singer was there,” Adelaide whispered and shook her head in disbelief. “A troll in Hogsmeade... that's never –”
A sudden tremor made her stop mid-sentence and her blue eyes went wide as she stared past you to the other side of the square. You spun around and saw another troll crashing through a nearby building. Behind you, you heard the small Hufflepuff scream and that sound caused the troll to notice you as he stomped right into your direction.
You grabbed your wand tighter and stood protectively in front of your best friend, and next to you stood Sebastian, doing the exact same. You shared a surprised gaze, but then focused on the troll.
“Stay back, Addy,” he told her over his shoulder as she kept tugging at both of your robes, urging you to run away with her. But you knew it was too late to run, the troll had spotted you and would only follow you through the village and wreak more havoc in its wake.
“No! You can't fight that thing! It's dangerous!” she wailed.
“We'll be fine,” he said confidently and looked at you with those intense eyes – and you found yourself agreeing, nodding with a smile. He threw a look back at his girlfriend. “You stay right here, okay? Hide behind those boxes! We'll lure it away!”
You didn't see if Adelaide agreed or not, but when Sebastian grabbed your hand and pulled you away while casting a sizzling Confringo at the troll to get its attention, you quickly forgot about the cowering girl and focused all your energy on the fight.
Of course it was different from duelling a student or a training dummy, but you nevertheless enjoyed yourself despite the danger this armoured beast was posing. Fighting alongside an equally skilled duellist was certainly something. It was a hard fight and you quickly found yourself at your wits' end because you just didn't know that many spells yet, but when you felt your wand vibrating in your hand again, you were quite surprised when you could make crates and barrels lunge themselves at the troll's massive head.
When you suddenly had its full attention, you realized you were standing very close to where Adelaide was hiding behind a large box. You couldn't let the troll get close to her, you had to protect her. From the other side of the square you could hear Sebastian calling her name, before your senses were overrun by a weird sensation that seemed to vibrate right through your very core.
Raising your wand, you inhaled deeply, and when you pointed it at the fast approaching troll, an incredible power surged through you and in the blink of an eye, the troll was gone, exploded into a million tiny specks of blueish light. You gasped deeply and sank to your knees, your wand hand shaking badly.
You heard footsteps coming closer and then a green and silver tie came into view, a hand resting on your arm. “Are you alright?” Sebastian asked quietly, looking at you intently. “How did you do that?” He sounded eager, a little startled and impressed at the same time.
Behind you, Adelaide joined you and sank down next to you, her blue eyes wide. “You saved me! Was that your ancient magic?” she blurted out.
“Ancient magic?” the boy on your other side asked in confusion, his gaze suddenly even more intense.
“Long story...” you whispered, looking between the two tiredly. “I can tell you everything over those Butterbeers I was promised earlier, if you'd like.”
A wide smile spread over his freckled face, causing you to blush deeply, as he and Adelaide helped you back to your feet. Yet the worst didn't seem to be over for that day as you had an unfortunate run-in with two Dark wizards and the evil goblin you'd had the pleasure of meeting once before. Sitting in the back of The Three Broomsticks, you retold your story and once you were done, you had made another friend.
Sebastian seemed fascinated by your ability and even offered his help if you ever needed it. And you settled on that, finding the thought to have a friend in him rather intriguing. You might not know how it would feel like to be held and kissed by him, but you decided then and there to cherish his friendship just as much.
At least that's what you told yourself over and over again, whenever you would find yourself in the presence of these two lovers. Though, to be fair, you wouldn't have known they were boyfriend and girlfriend if Adelaide wouldn't have told you because they acted rather tame in public. Occasional forehead kisses and dreamy gazes seemed to be the only thing those two shared, and frankly, you were quite happy about that. Even the hand holding you could live with.
Adelaide was a rather innocent girl and while she seemed happy with just sitting close to Sebastian, your mind still wandered to other things occasionally. The more time you spent with him (or them), the more time you had to look at him, and the more you saw, the more you wanted to see him closer, and you quickly found that your mind wasn't as innocent as Adelaide's.
Still you tried to keep your interested gazes to a minimum and it worked most of the time, but whenever his hand would brush against yours because you grabbed the same book, or when he'd hold the door and you'd have to squeeze past him, you couldn't help your heart beating just a tiny bit faster. No, not a tiny bit, a lot, and it surely must have shown, but he never said anything.
The three of you became something of a friend triangle after a few weeks and you'd sit together in the library or in classes, and when October rolled around, you were even invited to join them on their visit to Sebastian's sick sister. You had never been to Feldcroft and when you arrived via Floo, the first thing you did was look around in awe at all the autumn colours and quaint little cottages. It had started as a beautiful sunny day, but from past the spectacular shoreline in the south-west came the darkest clouds you'd ever seen.
Though it was nothing you concerned yourself with much as you eventually entered the Sallows' cottage. Anne was a lovely girl, very excited to see her twin brother and his girlfriend again – because apparently this was where they had met over the summer. At first you felt a little dispensable, sitting next to Adelaide at the round table, listening to the twins bicker harmoniously with the blonde girl, while you were... just there, sipping on your tea.
“Anne! I've got something for you,” Sebastian just said and walked back to the door to grab something out of his bag.
The other girls, you included, watched him curiously, and just when he got back to the table to present a strange purple bulb to Anne, the door behind him crashed open. You flinched and stared at the older man entering with a gruff. You'd known immediately that you didn't particularly like Solomon Sallow, the twins' uncle and guardian, because the minute he walked in, he would start fighting with his nephew.
You saw Anne wincing as she watched them arguing. Feeling very uncomfortable, you exchanged a gaze with Adelaide, who just shrugged with a sad expression, muttering “It's always like that.” under her breath. You narrowed your eyes and looked back, only to see Solomon grabbing the shrivelfig Sebastian had been holding and making it disappear into thin air, while he growled and bickered some more.
Sebastian didn't hold back either, as he tried to reason with his uncle, his disdain for his action and words apparent on his tense face. Solomon's voice got louder and louder and just when you wished to be somewhere else, Anne would start crying out and wincing as a bout of pain rushed through her tiny body. You watched in horror how she convulsed, holding her stomach with her face distorted in agony.
The argument halted then and before Solomon would look at his niece, he'd yell at Sebastian one final time. “Look what you've done! Leave!”
The boy looked back to the table then, his face set, but his eyes full of emotion. He didn't wait long before he spun around and stormed out of the cottage. You remained behind, watching how Adelaide tried to soothe Anne's pain, while the older man stood behind them and just glared darkly at the scene. Before he left the room as well, he muttered: “You shouldn't have come here today. It's too much for her!” His dark gaze wandered over the table and as you were the only one looking up, you were met with the full extend of his hatred.
And you didn't even know why. But you felt the same anger rising inside you that you had seen on Sebastian's face. As the door fell shut behind Solomon, a sudden clap of thunder made the little house shake. Adelaide gasped and you looked at her. She had her hands on Anne's shoulders, trying to calm her down as she was still twitching slightly under this mysterious disease you still didn't know anything about.
“Can you go look for Sebastian?” Adelaide asked quietly. “That storm doesn't sound good...”
You nodded and got up. “Where should I look for him?” you asked, having no clue where you should even go.
“There's a cabin at the beach where we would go in the summer sometimes. Perhaps he's there,” she told you while she rubbed Anne's shoulder. “Thank you,” she added with a small smile.
“Of course,” you said, happy to leave this dreary cottage and more than happy to maybe spend some time alone with Sebastian. In that moment you were a little selfish. But more so you wanted to console him. Having witnessed that encounter with his uncle had left you speechless and very angry. That fight had come out of nowhere and only because a brother had wanted to surprise his sister.
You didn't know the whole picture, but you knew that adults should never talk to their children or those in their care like that, especially in front of strangers. When you had felt uncomfortable, you just knew that Sebastian had felt more than embarrassed. And along with being angry and hurt, he clearly shouldn't be alone right now.
Once you stepped outside the cottage, you were hit by the first drops of heavy rain. It took you a moment to find your way, but it wasn't particularly hard to know where the coast was – you just had to follow the darkest rain clouds you had ever seen. And so you set out into the eye of the storm, ignoring the rain that drenched your clothes and the wind that picked up quickly the closer you got to the shoreline.
You decided to climb a little vantage point and look down at the beach that stretched all around the coast, yet you couldn't look too far. The storm was growing by the minute and the clouds were thick and heavy, the rain too much to see very far. But then you saw the green smoke coming out of a tiny chimney just below. That must be the cabin Adelaide mentioned.
Making your way down to the beach, you could hear nothing but the storm roaring and the waves crashing against the shore. It was worse down here than it was on the little hill you were on earlier. You were completely drenched by now and yet you kept looking. “Sebastian!” you called out but your voice seemed too feeble to travel anywhere under this weather.
You looked along the coastline as far as the heavy rain allowed and then you saw a small figure all the way to the left, the wind dragging his robes around while he seemed to throw rocks at the raging waves in front of him. You jogged towards him, once again calling his name and when he finally heard you, he looked around and stared at you, completely soaked, his cheeks red from the cold and whatever else burned beneath his stoic expression.
“What are you doing here?” he asked in surprise.
You stopped in front of him, breathless and shaken, your hair whirling around your head mercilessly before the rain caked it to your forehead. “Looking for you,” you replied loudly, trying to be heard over the storm.
He dropped the rocks he was holding and came even closer, slightly towering over you as if to block the storm from you with his body. “You're going to catch a cold,” he said with something of a crooked smirk.
Tilting your head, you glared up at him. “And you won't?” you replied, holding his gaze.
“Nobody cares anyway,” he then said and turned his face away, staring out over the raging ocean.
“Adelaide cares,” you told him. “Your sister cares.” You paused, watching him closely, your heart clenched tightly by all those emotions that had flooded you before and were now back in business tenfold. “I care!” you added louder and reached out a hand to grab the front of his wet robes.
He stared at you then, not saying anything, his hard face slowly softening, his dark eyes wandering over your face. There was a moment then, when your heart beat faster, your breath quickened, the intensity of his gaze made your knees weak. And suddenly his hand was on your face, pushing aside a wet strand of hair. His touch was warm on your cold skin and you stifled a gasp.
While you were overwhelmed by this simple gesture, he didn't stop there. You watched with wide eyes how he leaned closer and then he had pressed his lips to yours and for a moment you forgot about the storm wreaking havoc around you as the wind stilled and the rain froze in the air and all you felt was his mouth on yours, warm and inviting and finally, finally fulfilling that desire you had suppressed for weeks now.
But then time resumed and rain and the spray of the waves and the roaring storm hit you at the same time as realization struck you. You raised your hands and firmly placed them on his chest. And despite the new and thrilling sensation tingling through your lips, it was guilt that made you want to stop. Guilt and the round face of your best friend that came to your mind in that very moment.
“What are you doing?” you yelled at him as you shoved him away, your eyes wide and your lips trembling. Sebastian stared at you, his wet hair stuck to his forehead.
“I was kissing you,” he yelled back over the noise of the heavy rain pelting down on you.
You could barely hear nor see him through the downpour, the storm loud in your ears, dragging at your drenched robes. “What?” you asked, even though you knew damn well what he had done and said.
He took a step towards you and you took one back instinctively, keeping your distance. “Come on, I know you feel the same!”
You shook your head. “No! We can't do this, Sebastian!”
Suddenly lightning flashed around you and you gasped and flinched when an ear-splitting clap of thunder made the sand beneath your feet shake badly. He was with you immediately, his hands on your face as he kept you from moving away from him. His dark eyes bored into yours.
“Sebastian,” you whispered breathlessly, your hands moving up to grab his wrists. “Don't...”
“Stop fighting this,” he said almost sternly. “Haven't we danced around each other for long enough now?”
“We can't do this to Addy...” you replied, even though your heart was fluttering violently inside your chest the longer he held your face.
You saw him clench his jaw, more and more rain drops running down his freckled face. Blinking rapidly against the water gathering in your eyes, and you couldn't be sure if it was just the rain or something else, you stared at him, swallowing hard, your breaths shallow.
As another thunder rolled along the coast, you flinched again and by doing so, you moved forwards and against him and suddenly your arms were wrapped around his torso and your lips were pressed right against his. But instead of pushing away again, you leaned into it, holding onto him while the storm lashed around you, and he was kissing you back with a yearning that both of you had long tried to suppress.

End notes: Please note that I've never written as a Hufflepuff before, I have to be honest: I had to read up on how a Hufflepuff should act XD I'm trying my best to stay true to their nature, please bear with me my lovely Hufflepuffs!
This will also be some sort of Hogwarts Legacy re-write, but I took the liberty of changing quests around and pushed plot points to later dates, just to make this work. But in the end the plot won't be as important, you all know where this will lead, right? (The eventual smut tag is real, people!)
