It was a bright sunny day in Los Angeles when Y/N got inside a taxi to go back on tour with Guns n Roses.
The so-called one-month pause became two as soon as Nikki Sixx, the bassist of Mötley Crüe, overdosed and the whole band had to go to rehab, leaving Guns hanging without a band to open for.
She still remembered when Tom called her telling her that they had lost the contract and that the band was feeling very down. However, Aerosmith showed up with a golden opportunity, they wanted Guns to open for them on the European leg of the tour.
So here she was, on her way to the airport to meet with five crazy rockers who, as much as she disliked to admit, she had missed a lot.
These two months out of the road were great for her. She spent the holidays with her family in North Dakota and visited her friends in L. A and finally helped Rose with a part of the rent for the apartment.
She also enjoyed her time doing one of the things she loved the most: go to the beach and get a good old suntan. That was the best part about living in L.A in her opinion, the whole year felt like summer, completely different from the snowy and cold winter in North Dakota.
One week before going back on tour she attended an appointment at her favorite hairstylist, renovating its locks that were now quite long. Giving herself a spa day before going back to the bus’ couch, as Tom would go with them on tour again.
These two months also allowed her to think a lot about Duff. In the first days she was feeling blue, the way he spoke to her during that afternoon and how he didn’t talk to her after that hurt. He even switched places with Steven on the plane back to L.A, just so he didn’t need to sit beside her.
During December she questioned herself about what had she done that could’ve let him so angry at her, but after spending two weeks away from Los Angeles, she got to focus on other things, and following her mom’s advice she decided to give time to time and see how things would.
Izzy helped her with that process too, they crossed paths one day at a park, she went there with her friend’s nephew as she was babysitting and he was skating there. The two of them talked for a few hours and he told her that Duff was just in a bad week, that she shouldn’t take it personally, which made her lose that guilty feeling she was having.
Guilty and Sad, that’s how she was feeling in the beginning. But now she had convinced herself that whatever she had felt for Duff was over. She told herself plenty of times she just felt like that because she was feeling lonely and he had been nice to her.
So now, arriving at the airport, she was 100% sure that she’d look at Duff and her heart wouldn’t skip a bit. They’d talk and she wouldn’t stutter or blush and things would go as they were meant to be.
Walking through the crowd of people inside the airport she finally spotted a tall fuzzy blonde head. Duff. They were just a few meters away from her, making a smile appear on her face.
“Y/N!” Steven shouted waving, not sure if she had seen them.
She raised her hand waving back at him.
“Hello, fellas.” She placed her bags on the ground stopping in front of them.
“Wow, look at you, all tanned!” Slash exclaimed, opening his arms and walking towards the girl to get a hug.
“You know, every time I was about to put a shirt on, I listened to your voice saying that they were the biggest expression of my bad taste.” He said when they let go of each other, smiling at her.
“So you stopped wearing them?” She tilted her head while smiling.
“Nope.” He turned around showing the back of this t-shirt, where “Fuck off I’m out” could be read.
She shook her head, giggling a little.
“I want a hug too!” Steven popped up beside her, involving her in a bear hug, lifting off the ground. “I missed you!”
“I missed you too, Stevie.” She giggled.
“Do you want a hug too?” She looked at Izzy, smirking.
“No.” He said and the two of them laughed.
“Well, I want one.” Duff showed up in front of her, opening his arms.
She hesitated for a second, but moved forward and wrapped her arms around his body.
When he involved her, a certain electricity ran through her body and she wanted to never let go of him. He smelled of cigarettes and cologne though she could smell a small hint of vodka, as if it had stayed in his jacket after he washed it.
He lowered his head to hers and said close to her left ear. “I’m sorry for being an asshole with you.” His voice was low, as if he was sharing a secret that only she could know about.
The sound caused goosebumps on her body, as she answered in almost a whisper. “It’s okay.”
They let go of each other and suddenly she realized that they had been hugging each other for quite a while, since Tom had arrived and they didn’t even notice.
Duff moved away rubbing the back of his neck, starting some conversation with Slash.
“Hey, Tom! How were your holidays?” She gave him a quick embrace before stopping beside Steven, who hugged her from beside and rested his face on her shoulder.
“It was good, I was missing the kids already.” He smiled tenderly.
“You have kids? I didn’t know that.” She moved one arm away from Steven's grip so she could hug him back.
She looked down and thought that he looked just like a child when they’re bored and start to get sleepy.
“Yes, I do. Here,” He took his wallet out of the blazer’s pocket, showing her some small pictures he had in it. “this is Jenna, she’s 10,” He pointed to a ginger girl with lots of freckles. “and this is Brian, he’s 6.” He showed a boy wearing a baseball hat.
“They’re adorable, Tom! I can’t even imagine how hard it must be for you to be away from them all the time.” Y/N smiled at him seeing that he truly loved the kids.
“Yeah, it’s difficult, but it’s a part of the job. It’s thanks to my absence that they’ll be able to go to college.” He put his wallet back in the pocket and adjusted his glasses.
“You’re a good father, Tom.”
He grinned at her words.
“You really are. Can I meet the kids someday?” Steven asked, lifting his head off of her shoulder.
“When the tour is over, let’s have dinner together. I’ll take them and Martha along.” He grabbed his bags from the ground.
“Sure! That’d be cool.” Steven smiled, letting go of Y/N.
“Anyway. Where’s Axl? We need to be on the plane line in 15 minutes.”
“He’s late.” Izzy showed up lighting up a cigarette.
“Not so late,” Duff said, pointing towards the other side of the airport.
Y/N looked and at first, she couldn’t see anything, but then some ginger locks in a flannel shirt showed up.
“You’re late.” Tom said, starting to walk towards the line.
“Sorry, Erin was keeping me busy… if you know what I mean.” He smirked.
“Jesus.” Y/N made a disgusted face while following Tom.
Inside the plane, she found herself in a seat between Steven and Slash. Duff, Izzy and Axl on the other side of the corridor while Tom was sitting one line ahead, beside an old lady.
“Oh man, I wish I could bring Ana with me.” Slash complained.
“Who’s Ana?” Y/N asked smirking.
“My python. I bought her last month.” He smiled turning towards her.
“You mean a snake?” She widened her eyes.
He nodded.
“You have a snake as a pet?” She shivered under the thought, she was terrified of snakes.
“Yes, they are lovely creatures.”
“I’m scared to death of them.”
“No way! But they’re nice!” He turned his body towards her a little, ready to start an argumentation.
“I grew up on a farm, Slash. One of them passed right in front of my feet when we were plowing the land.”
“Did it bite you?” He moved his hair away from his face, lifting an eyebrow at her.
“Well...no.”
“Then why are you scared? They aren’t violent animals. They just attack if you scare them. Dogs kill more people per year than snakes.”
She paused for a second. “Yeah, you’re right. But still, I don’t think I’ll ever visit your house now.”
He giggled. “Do you have any pets?”
“We always had lots of dogs. They’re easy to train and help you with some chores.” He nodded at her. “I have a cat. Though I don’t know if I could call him mine yet.”
“What do you mean?”
“I left him in ND when I moved to L.A. I just see him when I visit my parents now.”
“What’s his name?”
“Thomas.”
Slash laughed.
“What?”
“Thomas, you know?” He laughed harder.
Y/N frowned at him, not understanding.
Then Slash pointed to the seat in front of him, where Tom was sitting.
She looked at Tom, then at Slash, then at Tom again and finally understood. Her cat had the same name as Tom.
Y/N laughed, she had never stopped to realize that until now.
Out in the distance, she didn’t see Duff looking at her and smiling when she laughed.
----
Arriving in London, they followed up with their normal activities. Did the soundcheck, had an interview and went backstage to get ready.
“Do you think I should tease my hair?” Axl asked Izzy who simply shook his head as a response.
“God, I’m nervous,” Duff said walking back and forth inside the room. “I need more vodka.”
“No more drinking, you need to calm down.” Y/N pointed at him, then pointing to a black couch at the end of the room, meaning that he should sit down.
“That’s why I need vodka, love.” He walked past her, going after more booze.
The nickname made her cheeks burn and she tried her best not to smile.
“Fuck, I’m nervous too.” Slash said.
“Why are you guys so nervous? You’ve done lots of gigs like this before.” She asked, frowning.
“No, we haven’t, Y/N,” Izzy said, sitting on the couch while looking for his cigarettes. “We’re in another country, a whole different crowd.”
“It’s our first time outside from home.” Duff said, reappearing in the room and sitting beside Izzy.
“Plus, It’s Aerosmith, fuck! We can’t fuck this up.” Steven added, while trying to choose a t-shirt. “Y/N. The black or the white one?” He showed her the two blouses.
“The black one.” She pointed with her pen. “You guys just need to breathe, everything will go fine. I’m sure about it.” She smiled at them, trying to calm their nerves.
“Shit, I think I’m gonna freak out.” Duff exclaimed, drinking almost half the bottle down.
“Not now. I need you good okay?” Axl crouched in front of him. “Just take long breaths, it’s no big deal.”
Axl started breathing slowly, soon being followed by Duff, that seemed to get calmer.
“Guys, you have to go. You’re in in five minutes.”  She said looking at her wristwatch.
“Fuck! I’m not ready yet!” Axl complained, rushing towards their bags looking for his clothes as he was still in his travel clothing.
“Oh, God, not today!” Izzy rolled his eyes, starting to smoke the third cigarette.
“What do you want to wear tonight?” She asked, sitting on the floor beside him.
“My leather pants and the leather waistcoat.” He looked at her. “Find them and I’ll find the shoes and my bandana.”
Moving to Axl’s second bag she started looking inside, throwing some of the clothes on the ground. “Got the pants!” She yelled, throwing them in his direction.
“Not this one! I want the cowboy leather pants.” Axl complained.
“Axl!” Izzy interjected.
“Fine, fine!” He lifted his hands in surrender.
After a few minutes, he was ready, running down the corridors while putting his sneakers on.
“You should watch the gig,” Steven said. “You’ve never watched one.”
“That’s because I always have to organize your mess.” She giggled a little.
“No, seriously, I think you’d like it.”
Thinking for a second she answered shrugging. “Why not?”
“Yeas!” He smiled before getting onstage.
Finding some equipment boxes on the side-door of the stage, she climbed on a big one, sitting on it and placing her agenda on her side.
The gig started and she understood why everybody was getting crazy about them.
Axl moved around as if he had eaten batteries for breakfast, jumping, running, screaming and singing. His voice was incredible and he was fierce, just what you need for a frontman.
Slash had lost all his shyness. Dancing, jumping and playing like a god. Every note that left his guitar sounded magical, precisely right. And even though she couldn’t see his face, she could tell that he loved doing that.
Izzy was like a black cat in the night, that you just notice if you pay attention. He moved around calmly, playing his guitar and singing the backing vocals so peacefully, as if he was born to do that.
Steven, well, now she understood why they called him popcorn. His hair bounced up and down as his head accompanied the drums he was playing. He smiled and sang along and if he could, she was sure he’d get up and dance to the songs.
But nobody caught her eyes like Duff did. The velocity with which he moved his fingers, the way his head kept up with the beat of the song. The way he walked so majestically with his long legs crossing the stage in a few seconds.
He was beautiful, a masterpiece in her opinion. And she knew that there was no use in trying to fight, she was already in love with him.
----
After the gig, they did the check-in in the hotel, taking a quick shower before stopping in a restaurant for dinner.
Joining two tables together, they sat down. Tom and Izzy taking the borders, Axl, Slash and Steven taking one side while Y/N and Duff took the other.
It was a simple restaurant, nothing fancy, and as they talked and ate Y/N couldn’t help but feeling like she was having dinner with old friends of hers.
“So I get home and grandma is complaining that Axl was sleeping on her couch and that she wants him out of the house.” Slash was telling a story about when Axl used to sleep in his basement.
“I go downstairs and say ‘Axl, you have to find somewhere else to stay, bro’ and he’s like furiously throwing his things inside this backpack while giving me an angry look.”
Axl was laughing at this point.
“We got in my mom’s car and I started driving him towards the place where Izzy was crashing and I was like ‘Why did you sleep on her couch, dude? I had told you not to do that!’ and he looks at me with that ‘I’m gonna kill you look’, he opens the door and jumps out of the car!”
“What?” Y/N asked.
They were all laughing.
“I was pissed.” Axl answered.
“Pissed? None of us saw you for three days!” Slash added while Duff wiped some tears away from his eyes.
“I needed time to calm down.” Axl replied calmly, still smiling as he lifted his glass to drink from it.
“This is the best story you guys ever told me!” She said after she stopped laughing.
----
Leaving the restaurant they started walking towards the hotel, they all went in front, leaving Duff and her behind.
It was a cold night in London and Y/N had definitely forgotten that their winter was actually cold.
A cold breeze got her when she turned a corner and she shivered, hugging herself. Her sweater was definitely not enough for a night like that.
“Here.” She looked to her side and saw Duff taking off his leather jacket and handing it to her.
“You don’t have to.”
“Y/N. Take the jacket.” He smiled at her.
She took it, her cold fingers touching his warm hand slightly.
Putting the jacket on she realized it was big on her, the smell of his cologne mixed with Marlboro hit her nostrils and she hugged the jacket closer to her body, wishing that it was him who was involving her.
A few minutes passed by and they finally reached the hotel. Entering the lobby the warmth welcomed them in and she smiled.
“On which floor are you?” Duff asked.
“Fourth.” She started to take the jacket off.
“I’m on the sixth.”
“Yeah, I know.” She smiled. “Thanks for the jacket, Duff.”
“It’s ok.”
They stopped for a second, looking at each other almost as if they were in trance.
Duff put a lock of her hair behind her ear and licked his lips.
“Y/N.” Tom’s voice cut the atmosphere, making her jump slightly and look in his direction. “Are you coming?” He pointed to the elevator.
“Yeah, just a sec.”
Looking at Duff again, she gave him a small smile. “Good night, Duff.”
He leaned down, lightly kissing her cheek. “Good night, Y/N.”
Getting in her room she quickly changed into some comfy pajamas. She stopped in front of the bathroom mirror when brushing her teeth and soon realized that she was smiling.
Her face seemed to be tickling where his fingers had brushed ever so delicately over. And she could still feel the warmth of his lips against her skin.
“Oh, Y/N. You are so fucked now.” She said to herself, walking towards the bed and jumping on it.
She laid there, but she couldn’t sleep, his face and voice filling her mind along with the memories of him playing onstage.
Her hair, which had stayed inside the jacket during the walk to the hotel, was smelling like him.
She turned around, facing the illuminated building in front of the hotel while smiling.
Yes, she was fucked. But she was feeling so happy that she couldn’t even get mad at herself for feeling like this.

Bonds of Strength
I took a prompt from some people wanting a story about Ezran and Rayla bonding and having a sibling moment. I wanted to get the practice in. I hope you guys enjoy it. @deetheteadrinkingdragon @rayllurn Hope you guys enjoy it.
“You dumb idiot” Shouted Rayla, as she wiped a cool cloth against Callum’s forehead. It was a cold rainy day at the castle, the autumn leaves had all fallen off the trees. The other day Callum thought it would be a good idea to fly, in the middle of a storm. “ I was just trying to impress you, I would do it a thous….” “Shut up!!” Yelled Rayla. “Yeah, but in the mild of a storm when it is damn well near freezing, oh yeah brightly idea..” Rayla nagged on. “Hey I had my scarf on” Pipped up Callum with the sound of clogged nose. “You are glad I think you are cute, next time I will bind you to a tree if I have to if you do that again!! Now get some rest” as Rayla planted a little kiss on his for head and left the room.
“How is he?” Ezran asked Rayla. She responded “Sick as a dragon with hoarding disease but, he won’t die” “ I love him, but he ain’t that bright sometimes” Ezran whispered “Yeah, one time he got his head stuck in a peanut butter jar, it took 5 hours to get his head out of it. After that dad, banned all form of jars inside the castle, and to this day, he can’t look at jars the same. I think he is afraid of them now.”
Both of them laughed quietly to avoid waking him up. “We should go into town and get him something to make him feel better, like Dragon Drops!!!” Shouted Ezran. “What in bloody name are Dragon drops?” asked Rayla? “ Oh they are these tiny little chocolate covered spicy sweets, Callum goes nuts for them!! Mom used to buy out the bakery of them and eat 20 bags in a night!! Callum used to eat them all the time before mom passed away.” “ Well then, lets go get some” Rayla said eagerly.
Down in town in was pouring rain for the past 4 days, Rayla wore her normal “human Rayla” disguse, as the people in the kingdom where not use to seeing elves in the kingdom, but people for some reason adored Gren and Kazi, calling them the power couple, due to both of them being the 2nd had to the generals and people saying they where a stunning example of what peace was. But. Rayla was not used to dealing with the ebbs and flows of other people looking at her as just a elf so she stayed in disguise, which Callum and Ezran kept secret. Going through town a big mud clod hit Ezran square in the face with a large “smack”, knocking him down. “ Where you goin Orhpan King” said a kid, about 10 in Rayal’s eyes. “EZRAN” yelled Rayla as she went to his side. The mud clod had cut open his skin and he was bleeding, “Are you okay” asked Rayla doting over him. “Yeah, I m fine, it isn’t the first time Trin has done this to me, dad sad never to go down to a bully’s level”. “Look at that, he as a sister to watch him, I guess they hired her to replace his mom who died, what a pathetic thing to do for such a little orphan!!” mocked Trin. “THAT IS ENOUGH. YOU WEE LITTLE HUMAN TURD, I don’t know what your deal is with Ezran is but you are going to far!!!” Yelled Rayla at Trin. “Oh and what are you going to do about it? Huh? What can a poor house maid do against me!! I have 10 already, you are replaceable like anything else in this world” mocked Trin to Rayla. “Rayla just leave him, he isn’t wor..” “Not now Ez, I am going to have a little chat to your ‘friend’ about the facts of life” Rayla said with a forceable vigor. “Listen hear Trin, I have no idea what sweet Ez ever did to you but, you throw one more mud ball, say one more insult, do anything and I swear I will get the Queen of Dragons to come to your home and have her EAT you one bite!! Now play nice, be good, and don’t let me catch you messin with…. My brother ever again. His family adopted me, gave me food, a roof, the warmth of a family and if you hurt him, you are messin with me!! Are. We. Clear.” Rayla roared the shocked Ezran. Trin fell over, a look of shock and ran off.
Rayla extended a hand to Ezran to help him up, rain was picking up and sounds of thunder echoed in the distance. They both took shelter in a barn. As the rain poured and the sky shook, “Thank you for sticking up for me, being the son of the king has not given me many friends and many other kids view me as a pathetic mess, Trin lost his brother to war and his father is always away on business and his mother is always off to trips. He has it rough. It is nice to have a what did you say… my sister? Hehehe you are like my sister, you are kind, caring, there for me when I need you.” Ezran spoke looking at Rayla with tear filled eyes “And I always will be Ez, I never grew up interacting with other kids, it was always assassin training this, jump this tree, do 7 backflips. Never any time do hang out or go moonberry picking. It has always been about something. Sometimes I wonder what life would have been like if my parents where never dragon guard and Ruaan and Uthari where just “normal”. Instead of assassins, Runaan could cook, and Ruthari just made trinkets instead of weapons for war.” As Rayla spoke of a different time the sky cleared and the stars twinkled, Ezran huddled underneath Rayla’s cloak and for a while the 2 just sat staring at the stars, grateful for each other’s company. “For what it is worth Rayla, I am glad you are here and I really do love having you here, Callum has always been passive, it is nice to have someone stick up for me and who can enjoy messing with the guards and love to steal jelly tarts with……you are a member of this family, maybe not by blood but,” “I know what you mean Ez, you wee little trouble maker, and thank you.” Rayla muttered. They where there as the morning sun rose to great a new day, so did the understanding of Ezran and Rayla and how life can connect each other in the most mysterious of ways.
“We got you something love” Rayla shouted to a still sick Callum. “Hugh wha……” Callum tried to speak but his clogged nose did him no good. Ezran tossed Callum a large bag of red coated candies. “Dragon Drops!!! Fresh from the Bakery. Made from the spiciest Fireberries” proclaimed Ezran to his half-awake brother. “Aww thanks guys, I lov… love Dragon Drops. Did you guys have a hard time getting them?” Callum asked as Rayla planted a small kiss on his forehead. Rayla and Ezran gave a hearty “nope”. Rayla spoke softly “Now then, get your rest, and we will check in later. Me and the king have some jelly tarts to snag and the baker is not going to give em up easily.”  Ezran jumped up eagerly “I heard today is Blueberry Tart day, I love blueberries the most” and with that Ezran and Rayla went out the door to town in a flash. Callum was getting ready to rest up when a clear empty jar made him jump out of bed and right on to the floor.

BORHAP MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
December 17th, 1978
“Yes mum, I know. I am coming home for Christmas, don’t worry.” Y/N said, glancing at the clock on her bedroom wall. It was 10 at night and she had stayed up late so she could call her mother in Brisbane.
“Well that’s good to hear. Are you bringing that rock star boyfriend of yours?” Y/N groaned at her mother’s question, her eyes going to the bathroom where Brian was currently taking a shower.
“I don’t know. Maybe, but it depends on his schedule. You know how busy he is, mum.” Y/N said, twisting the cord of the phone in her hand. Her mum let out a sigh before taking the conversation away from boyfriend-related matters.
“Mum I love you but its past 10 and I really need to sleep. I’ll talk to you soon, ok? Bye.” Y/N said, hanging up the phone and leaning back against the pillows. Y/N noticed that the shower had stopped, and soon enough Brian was emerging from the bathroom in nothing but his boxers.
“Who was that on the phone?” Brian said, pulling the covers back and getting into bed next to Y/N, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. Y/N snuggled into Brian, feeling calmer now that he was in bed with her.
“Just mum. She wants to know if you’re coming home with me for Christmas. I said you might, but you’ve got such a busy schedule and my home is on the other side of the bloody world.” Y/N rambled, waving her hands about as she spoke, and Brian gave her a smile before kissing her cheek.
“Tell your mum I’m coming home for Christmas.” Brian said, and Y/N stopped, her eyes widening in confusion.
“I mean that’s great Bri, but what about recording and press releases and all that music industry stuff?” She said, and Brian chuckled, shrugging his shoulders.
“I’ll find a way to get out of it. It’s Christmas after all, and I would want nothing more than to spend it with you and your family half way across the world.” Brian said, and Y/N felt herself smile, leaning up and gently kissing his lips.
“I love you so much, Brian May. You mean the world to me.” Y/N said genuinely, looking up at Brian with love in her eyes. He smiled back at her, pulling her against him so her head was resting on his chest.
“The same goes for you, love. I think the Earth would stop spinning if you weren’t in my life, Y/N Y/L/N.” Brian said and even though his words were sweet and sentimental Y/N let out a laugh.
“Bri, that’s not possible. You’ve practically got a PhD in astrophysics, surely you know what makes the Earth turn and it isn’t me.” Y/N said, poking his chest lightly and Brian groaned, rolling his eyes.
“God I was trying to be romantic and you went and fact-checked me. Seriously, woman.” Brian said, running a hand through his curly hair. Y/N just laughed, reaching over to switch off the lamp on their bedside table.
“I love you Brian.” Y/N said, pecking his cheek as they slowly drifted off to sleep, tangled together under the covers.
December 22nd 1978
“Jesus Christ!” Brian exclaimed, wiping the sweat from his forehead as they stepped out of Brisbane International Airport, towing their luggage as they walked.
“Told you it was hot.” Y/N said smugly, adjusting her top as they waited for her sister to arrive with the car. Brian was wearing a long-sleeved white shirt that had become stained with sweat and long black pants. Paired with his thick dark hair, he was a hot mess in the December sun.
“Yeah but I though you meant England hot, not this hellfire.” Brian said, and Y/N laughed, rolling her eyes.
“It’s only 35 degrees, Brian. I’ve had to deal with summers where it gets to over 40 degrees.” Y/N said, and Brian groaned in disgust at the thought of weather that hot.
Suddenly they heard someone blaring their car horn loudly and Y/N looked up to see her sister Lucy sitting in the driver’s seat with a wicked smile on her face. Y/N grabbed Brian’s hand and dragged him up to the car, telling him to open to boot and put their luggage in.
“Luce! How are you baby sister?” Y/N said, once Brian had sat down next to her in the back seats of the car and Lucy had started driving.
“I’m good. I finished my nursing degree last year and I got a job at the Mater private hospital in town earlier in the year. How about you? Would you care to introduce me to the handsome man you’re sitting next to?” Lucy said, and Y/N scowled, sticking her tongue out at her sister.
“Oi, I’ve been back in the country for ten minutes and you’re already trying to nick my boyfriend. Lucy, this is Brian. Brian, Lucy.” Y/N said, and Brian gave Y/N’s sister a wave from the back seat.
“It’s nice to finally meet you, Lucy. Y/N talks about you a lot.” Brian said, and Lucy chuckled, nodding with a smile on her face.
“All good things, I assume, Brian.” Lucy said cheekily, and Brian laughed, taking Y/N’s hand in his as he nodded.
“Good. It’s nice to meet you, Brian. All Y/N ever talks about when we’re on the phone is Brian this and Brian that. So, tell me, what do you do for a living?” Lucy asked, and Brian smiled, shooting Y/N an amused look before answering.
“I do work in astrophysics, mainly. A bit dull but I love it.” Brian said, and Lucy nodded, turning off the highway onto one of the smaller streets.
“Y/N has always had a thing for smart men. Particularly ones with glasses, but I see you’ve broken that streak.” Lucy commented, and Y/N scoffed, leaning forward to smack her sister on the arm.
“Piss off, Luce. Can you just turn on the radio because I am quickly becoming reminded of why I left this place.” Y/N said causing her sister to roll her eyes before turning on the radio.
The song playing was incredibly familiar, and Brian straightened up as soon as he heard it. “Oh this is a good song.” Lucy said, turning up the volume on the radio, Bohemian Rhapsody playing louder through the car.
“Luce, do you know who sings this song?” Y/N asked cautiously, and Lucy shot her a look as they pulled up into the street Y/N grew up on.
“Of course. I’d be a total dumbass if I didn’t recognise a Queen song when I heard it.” Lucy said, stopping the car after parking in their parents’ driveway. Y/N and Brian laughed with each other as they took out their bags and pushed them up to the front porch.
“Guess who I’ve got with me!” Lucy announced as she swung the door open, causing her parents and other relatives to rush into the hallway.
“Y/N! You made it!” Jo shouted, pulling her daughter into a tight hug. Y/N chuckled and hugged her mum back fiercely, glad to see her again given that it had been a year since her last visit. They walked into the dining room
“Oh it’s good to see you mum, however I have someone I’d like to introduce you to. Mum, dad, this is Brian.” Y/N said, stepping aside as Brian gave a small wave to her parents.
“We’re so glad you could join us. I know you’re always busy, so it means a lot.” Jo said, and Brian smiled as she hugged him tightly.
“Busy with what? Monitoring planets and doing boring sums?” Lucy said, cutting up a mango in the kitchen. Y/N’s parents looked at each other strangely as Brian let out a chuckle.
“Lucy, sweetie, Brian is in a band.” Jo said, and Lucy pulled a face, popping a piece of mango into her mouth.
“What do you mean? He told me he was an astrophysicist.” Lucy said, sitting on the kitchen counter.
“I am, yes, but my main job is playing guitar in a band.” Brian said, and Lucy’s eyes widened as Y/N fought back a laugh.
“What band then, space man?” Lucy said, and Y/N frowned, walking over to the kitchen and stealing part of her sister’s mango.
“Only I get to call him space man, Luce.” Y/N muttered, and Brian laughed at their dynamic.
“I’m Queen’s guitarist, actually.” Brian said, and Lucy’s jaw dropped, her eyes the size of saucers.
“What? No fucking way!” Lucy said, causing her parents to let out a noise of protest at her swearing.
Brian and Y/N laughed, nodding in confirmation of Brian’s statement. “Yeah, I took a break from working on our new album to visit you guys for Christmas.” Brian said, slinging an arm around Y/N’s shoulders as they sat down at the dinner table.
“Y/N you are a terrible sister. I can’t believe you let me listen to a Queen song not knowing that the bloody guitarist was in the car with me. Tiffany is not going to believe me, I have to call her. Be right back.”
December 23rd 1978
“So how do you guys celebrate Christmas in Australia?” Brian asked over breakfast, a glass of orange juice clutched in his hands.
“Usually it’s loud and chaotic. People are swimming and there’s always water on the deck somehow. There’s a lot of fruit and seafood and champagne is drunk by all.” Jo said, and Brian chuckled, interested to see how this very different Christmas would go down.
“We do have some similar traditions, though. If you want, tonight we could go and check out some Christmas lights. Mum and dad used to put them up competitively when we were kids, but they’ve stopped which is disappointing.” Y/N said, sipping from the mug of hot tea she had.
“That sounds like fun, actually. I do love Christmas lights.” Brian said, and Y/N smiled, pecking her boyfriend’s cheek before stealing the bacon from his plate.
“Y/N!” Jo scolded, and Y/N gave her mum a kind smile, eating a piece of bacon before speaking.
“Mum, Brian is a vegetarian who is too polite to tell you that he doesn’t want bacon. Luckily, his girlfriend adores the stuff.” Y/N said, winking at Brian who had a dumb smile on his face.
“Ok, now that that’s all sorted out you two can go off and have fun somewhere. Your father and I can clean up.” Jo said, kissing Y/N’s cheek as she began cleaning up the table.
“You heard mum. Let’s have some fun.”
“Brian Harold May, don’t you dare!” Y/N screamed as Brian picked her up, holding her in his arms. They were by the Y/L/N family pool and Brian was holding Y/N over the water.
“I thought you said you loved swimming.” Brian said nonchalantly, a smirk on his face as he rocked on his heels, causing Y/N to let out a shout.
“Not when my dickhead boyfriend is threatening to throw me in the pool.” Y/N said, and Brian sighed, pausing for a moment before dropping Y/N into the water, laughing at her face as she fell.
Brian was in tears laughing once Y/N had resurfaced, her hair plastered to her face. She could tell that Brian was distracted so she leaned up, grabbing Brian by the ankles and dragging him into the pool.
Brian was gasping for air and Y/N was laughing hard, treading water next to her boyfriend. “What goes around comes around, May.” Y/N said, splashing Brian in the face.
“You are awful, you know that?” He said, splashing her back. Luckily Y/N avoided most of the water, but her eyes widened once she saw Brian’s hair.
“Oh my god Bri, your hair! You look like a wet dog!” Y/N said, cackling at her boyfriend’s now flat hair. He frowned, playing with his hair slightly.
“So what if I do? Is that a bad thing?” Brian said, swimming closer to Y/N. Y/N rolled her eyes, noticing that Brian was standing up while she still had to tread water.
“Just think you look funny. Not bad, but funny.” She said, wrapping her legs around Brian’s waist. His hands instinctively went to her hips, holding her up even under the water.
“I’ll take that.” Brian said, pressing his lips to Y/N’s. There was a hint of chlorine in the kiss, but it didn’t bother then as Y/N ran her fingers through Brian’s wet hair.
“I love you, poodle boy.” Y/N said, smiling brightly at Brian once the kiss was over.
“And I love you, you weird Australian.”
“It’s Christmas light time!” Y/N announced loudly, squeezing Brian’s hand as they left the house.
“It certainly is.” Brian said, smiling at the excitement his girlfriend had for Christmas lights.
“Sorry if I’m a lot, it’s just that I’ve always loved Christmas and whenever I see the lights they make me happy. Plus they remind me of my childhood which is a nice bonus.” Y/N said, and Brian nodded, kissing her forehead as they began walking along the streets.
“It’s all good, Y/N. I think you look adorable when you’re excited. I mean you look adorable all the time but still.” Brian said, adjusting his shorts with his free hand.
The couple walked along the streets for an hour or two, checking out varying displays while Brian complained about the mosquitoes. “God they’re awful! How do you deal with them?” Brian asked once the sun had fully set and Y/N chuckled, shrugging her shoulders.
“Cover yourself in insect repellent. That’s my only advice.” Y/N replied, linking her arm with Brian’s as they entered another street. By 9 they returned home and decided to call it a night.
“Thanks for today. It’s been wonderful.” Brian said, playing with Y/N’s hair as they laid in bed together, the soft glow of Christmas lights from outside casting a red and green shadow on their faces.
“There’s no one else I’d rather spend Christmas with, Bri.” Y/N said, unknowingly echoing Brian’s words from the night he agreed to come home with her for Christmas.
December 24th 1978
“Ok we’re off to church, we’ll see you two later tonight.” Jo said, kissing Y/N’s cheeks before leaving the house with her husband and youngest daughter.
Once the door was closed and the house all but empty, Y/N smiled at Brian. “I’ll put the kettle on and make us some tea. You get comfy on the couch, mister.” Y/N said, resting a hand on Brian’s chest before kissing him softly.
“Yes ma’am.” Brian muttered, watching as Y/N sauntered into the kitchen, popping the kettle on the stove and leaning against the kitchen counter while she waited for it to boil.
Brian decided to ignore Y/N’s instructions and crept over to the record player in the living room, finding a copy of the Jackson 5’s Christmas album and placing it on the player. As soon as the music started Y/N smiled, recognising it instantly.
“I thought I told you to get comfy on the couch, May.” Y/N called from the kitchen, making tea for her and Brian. A smile settled on Brian’s face as he entered the kitchen, wrapping his arms around Y/N’s waist.
“I was in the mood for some music. Besides, you look so beautiful tonight.” Brian said, pressing a kiss to Y/N’s shoulder. Y/N felt herself blush, picking up a mug and turning around so she could hand it to Brian.
“And you look very handsome. Maybe it’s the sunburn but you’re just glowing, love.” Y/N said, and Brian pulled a face, taking a sip from his mug.
Don’t bully me. I’m English, we never see the Sun at home.” Brian replied, and Y/N shook her head, setting down her tea and grabbing Brian’s wrist, leading him into the living room with her.
“Dance with me?” Y/N suggested, wrapping her arms around Brian’s neck as he nodded, his hands sitting on Y/N’s waist. The two swayed in time with the music and Y/N hummed along to the Jackson 5’s rendition of ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’.
Suddenly an image of the small velvet box in the drawer beside their bed came into Brian’s head, and he took in a shaky breath at the thought of it. He had been wanting to ask Y/N to marry him for a while, but earlier in the day he asked Y/N’s dad for permission and he granted Brian with it in spades.
“Stay right there. I’ll be back in a sec, I promise.” Brian said, pecking Y/N’s lips before rushing to their shared room. He quickly found the box and slipped it in his pocket, adjusting it so it wasn’t too obvious before returning to the living room.
“Took you long enough.” Y/N said, and Brian huffed, rolling his eyes before taking in a deep breath.
“Y/N, spending the last three years of my life with you have been a dream come true. You are a strong, beautiful, caring woman who takes shit from nobody, including me.” Brian said, chuckling as Y/N nodded at his statement.
“I love you so much and I don’t know where I’d be without you.” Brian said, dropping onto one knee. Y/N gasped, her hands flying to her mouth in shock as she looked at Brian.
“You’re the love of my life, even if you decide to make fun of me sometimes. Which is why I decided now would be the perfect time to ask you, Y/N Y/M/N Y/L/N, if you’ll marry me.” Brian said, opening the box and revealing a beautiful diamond ring that was small enough to sit comfortably on Y/N’s hand, but big enough to get people to ask about it.
“Yes, you stupid man, of course I’ll marry you.” Y/N said, crouching down and holding Brian’s face in her hands, pressing a passionate kiss to his lips. Unfortunately, Brian lost his balance slightly under Y/N’s body and slipped slightly, toppling backwards with Y/N on top of him.
They burst out laughing, unable to believe that this beautifully romantic moment had been ruined by Brian’s awful balance. “Where’s my ring, May?” Y/N asked once the laughter had subsided, and Brian smiled at her, taking the ring and sliding it onto her ring finger.
“Y/N May. That has a lovely ring to it.” Brian mused, and Y/N chuckled, pecking both his cheeks.
“I’ve got a nice ring to me as well.” Y/N said, waggling her left hand in front of Brian’s face, showing off her new engagement ring. Brian let out a loud laugh, pressing kisses all over her face.
“I love you so very much, Y/N. You’re the best Christmas present I could ever ask for.”

*  mitch grassi, age 21, he/they  | oh, them? that’s christopher ‘kit’ louis. they’ve lived in carina bay for, like, one week. last time i spoke to them they were unemployed, and if i remember correctly, they’re a gemini. seeing them around always makes me think of tattered sleeves pulled down over shaking hands, a coquettish cheshire cat’s grin, a mattress on the floor of an empty room with constellations of fairy lights strung overhead.
tws -- substance use/abuse, toxic relationships, & v brief mention of homophobia
four muses... what am i doin’ falling a little too in love with carina + writing intros, i guess??  but here is darling kit. he’s slightly more of a mess than his sweet little face may give off and i hope you accept a bit of chaos here in the sleepy town of carina bay because... kit does not come quietly! anyways!! also this is a lot longer than i intended so skip to the bottom if you’d like a SUMMARY
hails from one of the northern states on the west coast. he grew up in a strict religious household which felt stifling and limiting from as early as age 4 when he had to wear a bowtie to easter mass when he wanted to wear one of the cute flowery bonnets the girls got to wear
christopher had a very rigid childhood for this reason. his family lived comfortably but it was only perfect on the surface. underneath the glamour of the picturesque family unit there were cracks -- splintering shards that would eventually drive a wedge between the louis parents and their only child
kit knew pretty early on that he wasn’t straight -- ironically enough, getting the idea from all the anti-gay rhetoric from the church. it gave him the keywords he needed to uncover things like homosexuality and genderfluidity. he also knew to keep it quiet and kept himself securely closeted
figured it was meant to be a secret -- kind of like the secret affair his father was having! or the secret gambling problem his mother was so desperate to hide and blamed on faulty record keeping!
basically, the crux of kit’s childhood is that it sucked and he never felt like he got to be a kid. he was smothered.
kit’s first breaking point came at a young age. he had a childhood friend from church who he had gotten super close to. this friend was very whimsical and sweet -- flamboyant some would say but hey! they were children!!! kit was very amazed by this friend’s ability to just BE HIMSELF!
his parents, however, were less amazed and especially as the two grew to be preteens and stayed just as close, they got more and more concerned. so concerned, in fact, that eventually, they insisted kit end the friendship. it was devastating, especially since this friend had been teaching kit so much about self expression and confidence and just :’(
but he listened and buried his anger, saving it for only a few short years later when it would all come to a head.
kit had his first kiss at age 14. the boy was older and cooler and kit knew he couldn’t go back into the closet after that. he brought that boy home a few more times, half hoping to get caught just so he wouldn’t have to come out. eventually things fizzled out but kit had had a taste and now he wanted MORE
more boys made their rounds through the louis residence and it wasn’t until kit was doing a little more than kissing that he was finally caught. it was as bad as he’d expected, the shouting match. what he HADN’T expected, though, was the ultimatum. stop this ‘gay business’ or move out. he was only a teen still? couldn’t they even do that, legally?
luckily -- or unluckily as it would be -- kit had met someone older who had a place of his own in california and he offered to let kit come and stay with him. they’d start dating and kit would even say this was his first love.
it wasn’t some fairytale though -- it never was. showing his love for his new beau became sexual extremely fast and would start including doing favors for his friends and coworkers too. kit let it happen because at least he was free of his parents and living with someone who loved him
he put up with three years of increasingly toxic conditions in his relationship with his boyfriend essentially capitalizing on his willingness to please, not knowing that would soon run out.
if you stifle kit too completely, he breaks and that’s what happened.
one day, he snapped, he took his things and left. he was completely homeless and streetbound but he was living life according to his own choices for once and it came with a kind of thrill that kept kit motivated!
he turned to sex work of his own volition, finding it as a stable way of making money, despite the dangers involved. it was all he felt he was qualified for and he was good at it. without need of any authority over him, he made decent money at it and started skulking around seedy bars in the outer LA area for men who would take him home for a good time
that’s where he met his now-boyfriend, julian. before julian, kit would’ve sworn he’d never find someone, never get a crush, never fall in love. one night and kit was questioning everything. a few more and he was hooked harder than any drug could ever get him.
eventually, though, him and julian did fall in love and they’ve been dating ever since. he stopped his sex work entirely & drugs slowly became a part of their time together and that’s still very true today. they’re kind of as dependent on it as they are on each other.
kit knows about julian’s past and julian knows about kit’s past. their kindred spirits, both getting their starts way too young and both finding hardships along the way. kit has never smiled as much, laughed as much or loved as much as he has since finding julian so while jules will swear up and down that he’s ruined kit forever by getting him hooked on all kinds of substances, kit thinks julian’s saved his life
they were following one of kit’s elated impulses and taking a road trip from coast to coast and back again on all the money they had left in this run down little jeep station wagon thing when it broke down in carina bay
so now they’re here!!
SUMMARY -- a rough childhood and an even rougher teendom eventually led to one toxic ex boyfriend and a life on the streets. kit found renewed purpose with his now-boyfriend julian who also happened to turn him into a gleeful little druggie along the way. living with no money but a whole lot of love. okay now
PERSONALITY -- enigmatic might be a good way to describe kit. he’s fidgety and easily startled, a very frail little thing. he’s off in his own head a lot of the time but not in a cutesy daydreamy way (like pip) and more he genuinely has a hard time focusing on things. VERY guarded in that you won’t get a peep out of him and his personal life unless you want to talk about his boyfriend who he’ll wax poetic about for hours if you let him. otherwise, he’s social and chatty but about nothing of substance, flirty but with no intention of following through and impulsive to a fault. he’ll make you think you’re his best friend for the evening but not remember you in the morning. only those super close to him get to see a sweet vulnerable side to kit, the rest see this feigned alluring aura and nothing more
PLOTS
obviously he’s only been here a week so past plots depend on your muses time on the west coast BUT:
party friends -- a MUST
some loose circle of friends in general for him and julian!
a good influence
protective friends ( though misguided bc he won’t really listen )
smoking buddies
honestly i think it’d be funny if someone didn’t like him bc he flirted with their boyfriend
and alternatively, the boyfriend he flirted with
someone with an instant crush / love at first sight bond with the very taken kit
someone who can develop into his best friend
wait help them find a crummy apartment someone
aaaaaand people him nd julian kinda corrupt. they’re a chaotic force as a duo so rip
oh ig eventually he’s gonna try to make cash the only way he knows how so thats... a possibility
if YOU have any ideas, lemme know!

All I Need
Mickey licked his lip and eyed the older boy with no small degree of impatience.
“What the fuck you want me to say, huh?”
“I want you to say you’re gonna take care of my brother.”
Lip fixed Mickey with an open blue eyed stare that under other circumstances might have stirred a feeling other than anger.
“I’ve been takin’ care him this whole time. While you’ve been readin’ books and fuckin’ rich girls in tiny fuckin’ skirts in your shitty little dorm room or wherever, I’ve been here, with Ian.”
“Yeah? And look at the state of him, Mickey!”
Lip challenged, stung by the truth of Mickey’s words, guilt nagging at him uncomfortably.
“Fuck you! That ain’t my fault and it sure as shit ain’t nothin’ you could have done better with. Ian might be a mess, but he’s my mess.”
Mickey set his jaw firmly and cocked his head from side to side. His patience, limited at the best of times was nearing breaking point but he wouldn’t come to blows with Lip Gallagher if he could help it. If there was anyone in the world Ian loved as much as Mickey, maybe more, it was his older brother. Mickey wouldn’t risk pissing Ian off in his current state unless he had to.
“You can’t go on like this, Mickey. It isn’t about how much you love him. He needs help. Medical help.”
Lip leant forward in his seat, the battered old couch stank of stale beer and fresh piss but he ignored it, anxious to make his brother’s hood-rat, middle-school drop-out, fucking criminal boyfriend understand the importance of what he was saying.
“He needs to get the right meds and get his head back together.”
Mickey looked away and pursed his lips pugnaciously, rubbing the back of his hand beneath his nose and sniffing heavily, aggressively. Understanding dawned on Lip and he closed his eyes, pressing the fingers of his right hand between his eyebrows and sighing heavily.
“Mickey, if you already know I’m right, why the fuck haven’t you made him go to a doctor?”
Mickey’s head snapped back round and he faced Lip, bright spots of colour flushing his usually pale cheeks
“Who the fuck said you were right? I sure are hell didn’t. Ian doesn’t want a fuckin’ doctor and not me, not you, not anyone is goin’ to make him do something he doesn’t wanna do. You hear me?”
As he spoke he unfolded his arms from across his broad chest and clenched his tattooed fists by his sides to keep his hands from trembling. Lip heard a door squeak open and looked past the angry man before him. Ian had come out of the bedroom and was anxiously hovering in the hallway. He looked lost, like a little kid after a bad dream, afraid to ask his parents for comfort in case he got yelled at. Ian had been that kid once, but he’d never been afraid to come to Lip.
“Ian, I know you don’t wanna go but …”
“If you know then why the fuck you pushin’ it?”
Mickey snapped.
“Mick, don’t.”
Ian’s voice was soft, barely more than a whisper but it might have been a shout for the effect it had on Mickey. He stopped squaring up to Lip, his attention instantly with his lover, his stance no longer threatening but cautious, gentle.
“I’m sorry but I don’t want you bein’ pushed around.”
Ian smiled, a distant smile that made Lip think of their mother, hunched over a dry slice of toast, sending them off to school without lunch but with that apologetic smile that said ‘I’m sorry but I can’t help it.’.
Ian moved into the room and Lip noticed the way he gravitated toward Mickey, he was taller by at least six inches, broader and stronger boned but he looked smaller and as Mickey’s arm circled Ian’s waist and drew him in close, Lip knew that Mickey was telling the truth when he said Ian was his mess. They belonged together.
“You feel any better?”
Mickey ran his thumb gently across each of the dark circles beneath Ian’s eyes and gave him a bright, encouraging smile
“You look better.”
It was a lie but Ian grinned bashfully at him and pushed his tousled hair back behind his ear
“Yeah, I feel a little better. Less fuzzy. Do we have any beer? Lip, you want a beer? Can he have a beer?”
Mickey nodded and caught Ian’s hand pressing a brief, fierce kiss to his knuckles.
“Of course he can have a fuckin’ beer. I ripped off a whole keg yesterday, we got shit tons of it.”
“From Kev and V?”
“Nah. Some dipshit, artsy bar owned by a couple old Queens on 52nd. Neighbourhood is goin’ to shit.”
Mickey shook his head sadly as he went into the kitchen to pour three cloudy mugs of ‘Craft IPA’ whatever the fuck that was.
Ian met Lips eye and they shared a furtive grin.
“He loves me, you know? He’s doing his best.”
“I know, but you seen this before. You know you need more than just love.”
Ian shook his head and looked over his shoulder at the dark haired young thug who he had loved for so long before looking back to his brother
“No. As long as he loves me, I don’t need anything else.”
Lip forced a smile and tried to push his worries away, they would do no good anyway.
“OK. Well, I do. I need a drink! HEY MICKEY! What’s takin’ so long?”
Ian laughed at the string of profanity that met his brother’s heckle and allowed himself to think of just what else his lovers mouth would do later that night.

It’s my party, and I’ll cry if I want to (Jughead Jones x Reader) pt 3
Trigger warnings: depressing thoughts, self harm, and suicide attempt
I was still strong after 3 months of everyone ignoring me, seeing the love of love life, love someone else. All I needed was a friend, nobody wanted to deal with a depressed girl. I’ve been completely replaced by Betty Cooper. She took my best friends, my popularity, and my title. There’s nothing for me here, I’m just a complete waste of space. I decided, I’m going to kill myself today.
I went to my old table, and everyone looked at me. I felt like such an outcast to them now.
“I just want to thank you guys, for being my friends before” I said smiling
They all looked at each other confused, and looked back at me. I needed to say goodbye, without making myself obvious.
“I’m maybe moving soon, I don’t know, I just wanted to say goodbye before I left, I’ll see you guys around” I said fake smiling.
I picked up my bag and walked away. I’ll text an actual goodbye to everyone in a groupchat. For now, nobody will get in my way. I told all my teachers that I will be moving, and will no longer be arriving, and they all hugged me and wished me good luck. I felt happy for the first time in 3 months. There’s no chance of me being alright. I’m proud of how long I’ve been strong.
I got home and took my pills out of the closet. I sat down on my bed, and began typing the message to the group, while taking one pill at a time.
Thanks you guys so much. I love each and everyone of you.
Betty:I forgive you. Even though what you did wasn’t very nice, I understand. Please take care of Jughead. I will appreciate it, he deserves the world. I love you.
Kevin: You were the best. You kept me laughing, until recently, but I appreciate you. I know we weren’t the closest, but I considered you a very close friend, and I would fight for you. Stay golden, Kev.
Veronica: Wow girl, I love you. Even though sometimes you’re very annoying, you’re still a great friend. You speak your mind, and don’t let anyone walk over you. I love that about you. You need to tell that one person how you feel about them. It’ll make you feel better, I know you won’t end up like me, you’re amazing.
Mom and Dad: You both are my everything. I know you’re not here for me, are you proud of your little girl? I know you aren’t the best parents but I love you. Mom, I know you’re crying. I’m sorry mom, but this world is just not my place. Please have another child, and keep them happy so they won’t be like me. Everyone’s facing their own fight, but I can’t deal with the pain, I’m not a fighter. I love you.
Cheryl: I love you. More than anything. I couldn’t imagine my life without you. You haven’t been the best friend lately, but you have a reputation that you can’t hurt. I couldn’t have asked for a better girl best friend. The way we shopped, cheered, gossiped, and our sleepovers. I love you so much.
Archie: Where do I even start, kid? You’re my best friend. I told you that I was down, and you let it slip by. I can’t blame you for that though, you had shit going on. You’re the best friend that I’ve ever had, it’s a shame that I’m going to make you sad. Please forgive me, Archie. I couldn’t do it anymore. It was too much, and nobody was there. I’m so sorry, I tried to fix it. I have no reason to stay here, I was born in the wrong time. I can’t handle things on my own you know this. I love you so fucking much, Arch. So so much. You meant everything to me.
Jughead :I love you so much, and you will always be in my heart. Even though you hate me, I will always love you. You’re the most amazing guy that I have ever known. It’s okay, you didn’t love me, I wasn’t going to force you. But for now, I have no reason to be here. Just be happy that you were the last guy who held the key to my heart. I sit behind you, and close my eyes, dream you’re mine, and you don’t even know that I am there. I loved you. You broke me, Jughead. You’re not the only one to blame though. Everyone in this chat is to blame.
Everyone: I've come to realize this world's full of sin. Every day is the same, I fight, I break, I hide, and try to be okay. I just wanna be okay. There's nothing for me here, I'm just a waste of space. It's alright though, I know in a year, you'll forget I'm gone, because I'm not really something to be dwelled on. My presence on this earth is not needed any longer, and if anything, I hope this makes you stronger. Now it's time to go, I’m getting really tired. Yes I lost my fight, but please just hold on tight. I'm watching over you from the clouds above.
I then sent it. I stared getting really tired. I knew it was time, I know that my time on this earth was over. It’ll all be over. I used the rest of my energy to type on more thing:
So this is it, world, goodbye.
Jughead’s POV:
We all were in Pop’s booth, looking at our phones in shock. I snapped myself out of it, started packing my stuff as quickly as I could, and ran out, I ran to her house as fast as I could. I wasn’t about to lose her. I got to her house, and opened the door. It was all dark, it would’ve been creepier if there wasn’t a life at risk. I got an ambulance on the phone as I walked upstairs into her room. I seen her on her bed, and my heart broke. I ran over to her and put her in my arms.
“Y/N! Come on, wake up. You’re fine, doll. Come on, please” I said sobbing
She was way too important to me for her to leave. I can’t believe I drove her to this, If she dies, it’ll be all my fault. I try shaking her more, but she is lying there lifeless. Where the fuck is the ambulance? They need to hurry up. I then heard sirens, and my hopes got up. She would maybe be saved, she has to be saved. They came up, and got her, then went back down to the ambulance. I asked could I come, and they said yeah. I sat there with her, holding her hand.
They were all shouting and saying she was dying. I sat there sobbing. If she dies, I will be devastated.
Reader’s POV:
I woke up to a bright light, when my eyes did adjust, I can see all my ex friends standing around in my room.
Archie was the first one to notice, “She’s awake!” he said so happily, and came over to kiss my forehead. I groaned, I really didn’t want to be around anyone in here at the moment.
A nurse come over to me, “Y/N, you’re free to leave if you want to. One of your friends volunteered to watch you” (also this does not happen in real life, you can’t get away with trying to commit suicide, just don’t do it at all xx you have so much to live for)
I nodded, and reached my hand out for Archie to pick me up, he held me, and we all walked to the reception’s desk. I had to sign a few things myself, and my parents signed other things. My parents were really out of it during the drive. I felt bad about what I put them through, but it was the best think I could do. I arrived at home, Archie and Jughead with me. I laid on my bed, and wrapped myself in my blankets.
“How long was I gone?” I asked them
“3 weeks” Jughead responded quietly
I nodded looking away. I can never do anything right.
“You know, Y/N, you had us all worried. You know how all of us could barely even stand being without you? All we did was think of you” Archie snapped at me.
I was way too tired to even argue, even though I had a lot to say to that. I just wanted to sleep.
Jughead looked up at me and sternly said, “Don’t ever, do that again.”
I didn’t know how to respond to anything that they we’re saying. I could barely comprehend my thoughts. I just wanted to sleep, my thoughts still aren’t any different. I don’t want to live, and I don’t care if everyone knows.
“Jughead, do you like me yet?” I asked not responding to what he said.
Jughead sighed, “No, Y/N. I told you that I love Betty. Me and you will only ever be friends. Nothing more, Y/N”
I looked down. I didn’t feel anything, I was numb. All the crying and hating myself really paid off. I didn’t care that he didn’t love me. I guess Betty is just perfect to him. I just don’t think that I can ever get used to the fact that she betrayed me the way she did. I thought after the paragraph I sent him, he would realize his feelings for me.
It’s fine though. If he doesn’t want to love me, he doesn’t have to. It’s hard for me to see, that he means everything to me. I just have to move on, even though it hurts I hate to be strong. For everyone.
I spoke softly, “You were supposed to love me, you were meant to realized that you loved me, the way I love you. This wasn’t supposed to happen”
I didn’t even get to hear his response, I fell asleep right after saying that
This wasn’t supposed to happen.

Part Fifteen: A Waitress Breaks a Rule
Jennifer and Clarissa were sitting in the café near the diner, having just finished a shift. Clarissa had been strangely quiet, and was toying with her coffee cup like she was trying to work her way up to something. Jennifer, on the other hand, was relishing the feeling of being relaxed and something approaching happy for the first time in years.
Eventually, Clarissa spoke up. “Hey, Jenn?”
“Yeah?”
“I have a weird question.”
“What’s the question?”
“It’s kind of… I don’t want to overstep or anything.”
“Overstep?”
“It’s just uh, who’s Maddie?”
Jennifer felt her heart skip a beat. Keeping her voice decidedly even, she asked, “Who?”
Clarissa seemed to be choosing her words carefully, well-aware of how silly she probably sounded. “Well, remember the other night? You woke up all in a cold sweat? You shouted something about a Maddie just before you woke up.” She rubbed the back of her head in a nervous gesture. “It just seemed like you were pretty distressed, is all. I guess it might’ve just been nonsense, but…”
“Yeah…” Jennifer said, quietly. She unconsciously rubbed at a scar on her shoulder. How long had it been? Nearly four years? She didn’t remember a nightmare, but she did remember waking up in a cold sweat, although it was a fairly common occurrence. Oh what the hell, she thought, it might be nice to talk about it with someone. “She’s uh, an old girlfriend.”
“Oh.” Clarissa looked deeply embarrassed. “I’m uh, sorry I brought it up.”
“No, it’s fine. We uh, it…” Jennifer frowned, trying to figure out how best to talk around things. “It didn’t end well?” She nodded decisively. Not ending well seemed like a pretty accurate description. “It didn’t end well. It’s… it’s kind of why I’m out here.”
Clarissa’s eyebrows shot up in surprise. “Wow, that’s pretty not well.”
Jennifer failed to suppress a laugh. “Yeah, you could say that.” She sighed. “It was my fault, really. I was so sure that I knew what was best, and it wound up driving us apart. This will shock you,” she said, with a wry grin, “but I had this belief that I needed to do everything myself.”
This did in fact seem to surprise Clarissa a bit. “News to me.”
“Yeah, well, I learned that lesson the hard way. Turns out that if you keep trying to do everything on your own you end up driving people away.” Or you end up making the wrong call and damn yourself to being on the run forever, she thought.
Clarissa took this all in quietly, not really knowing what to say. She settled on, “Well, I’m glad that you felt like you could tell me. It kind of goes without saying, but I’d hope you know you can lean on me when you need to.”
Oh kid, Jennifer thought to herself, if you had any idea what that entails you’d never make that offer. She gave what she hoped was a reassuring grin and said “thanks” instead before jokingly saying, “What about you? Got any dark secrets I don’t know about?”
“Afraid not.” Clarissa said, shrugging. “Grew up not too far from here, had a couple relationships that never really went anywhere, ended up in the waitressing game after the Crash more or less made paying for school an impossibility.”
“I’m surprised.” Jennifer admitted. “You seemed… huh.”
“What?”
“I just realized there’s no way I could say ‘you seemed like you’ve been to college’ without sounding like an asshole.”
“Yeah pretty much.” Clarissa said, laughing. “I assume that means you went to college?”
“Yeah, I was lucky. The Crash didn’t happen until I was in my last year. There was just the one year of debt to deal with. Which uh…” Jennifer almost said ‘I faked my death and it doesn’t matter anymore,’ but settled on “I’m still kind of paying off? Which isn’t much of a surprise, really.”
“See, that’s why I didn’t bother. Plus, my parents needed the help to keep our house.”
Jennifer felt a pang of guilt as she stood and stretched. “Yeah, that sounds about right. You ready to get out of here?”
The sun had set, and Clarissa somewhat reluctantly stood as well, grabbing her jacket from where it hung off the back of the chair. “Yeah, let’s go. You uh, mind dropping me off at my place? Speaking of parents, mine are coming to visit in a couple days and the place is a mess.”
Jennifer shrugged easily. “Sure, of course.” She looped an arm over Clarissa’s shoulder and smiled. “You want help with that, or would you rather I didn’t silently judge your poor housekeeping?”
“I mean, if you want to judge, you can feel free to. I don’t think it’s any dirtier than your place though – and I’ve got the additional excuse of roommates.”
“Roommates who don’t clean up, eh?”
“I didn’t say they were good roommates.”
As the two walked down the street, Jennifer suddenly felt the hairs on the back of her neck prickle. Casually, she pretended to stretch her neck out and caught sight of a few figures following behind, although she could possibly chalk it up to paranoia. The smart play, of course, would have been to get to the car as quickly as possible and hopefully get out before the possibility of a confrontation with, she assumed, some desperate criminal element who assumed a few women were an easy target for a mugging. That was not the worst case scenario, which was that the two following them were d3m3t3r’s people – although Jennifer assumed in that case she’d already be dead.
Clarissa seemed to notice her sudden shift in attitude, because she whispered, “What is it?”
“Nothing,” Jennifer said, trying to reassure herself, “long day just caught up to me, I think.”
“Ah, old age is rough, huh?” Clarissa said, in a teasing tone.
Jennifer snorted and gave Clarissa a shove. “Keep that up and you’ll have to walk home.”
Clarissa gasped in mock horror. “You wouldn’t dare! A young lady, out on her own at night? How unchivalrous of you!”
“Please, it’s the 22nd century. I think we’re past chivalry being a thing.”
They were a block from Jennifer’s car when one of the two behind them spoke up. “Excuse me, ladies? Could you happen to have some change for the bus? I seem to have lost my wallet.”
Clarissa turned, already reaching into her own pocket. “Of course! How much does the bus cost these days, anyway?”
Jennifer watched as the one man quickly moved to flank them while the other pulled out a knife and grimaced. “Well, you know how it is with busses.” The one said, smiling in a less-friendly way. “Best to give us everything you have just to be safe.”
Understanding dawned on Clarissa’s face and she froze. “Ah.”
“Do you really want to do this?” Jennifer said, sighing. “We’re waitresses, you know. Not exactly swimming in money.”
“Oh I’m sure if you don’t have much money there’s other things we can take.” The man smiled nastily. “That arm of yours for a start – cybernetics go for a pretty penny these days.”
“Unfortunately I think I’m a little attached to it at the moment.” Jennifer said, narrowing her eyes. “But we can give you the money we’ve got and you can go on your way.”
At this the other man spoke up, mockingly. “You’re not in a position to be cutting deals, miss. I think you’ll find we’re the ones giving orders, and you’re the ones obeying the orders. So we will be taking that arm of yours.”
Maybe it was something about his tone that did it. Jennifer wasn’t quite sure at the time, and later on she still wasn’t sure. It didn’t really matter in the end, of course, because what happened next ended up being the important thing. Jennifer smiled, and stood up a little straighter, and honest-to-gods laughed. She even applauded a little, causing Clarissa to send her a worried look.
“Now that is a hell of a line. I wonder, do you practice that in the mirror? No, no, don’t tell me, I think I would just be disappointed if I ended up being right.” Her face hardened, sharpening her smile into something dangerous. “So, I’ll make you a deal. You two leave us be, and go think about how you should give up this life of crime – or at least, cause trouble for the folks with a little more money than a couple waitresses. In return, I won’t beat you both senseless, which will doubtless bring the police into things and ruin your chances of being able to give up your lives of crime. How about it?”
The two men looked at each other, and then moved menacingly forward. Jennifer pushed Clarissa back out of the way and propelled herself in the direction of the one with the knife with a gleeful shout. This movement so surprised him that he actually seemed to hesitate for a second, which was all the time Jennifer needed to spin to the side, avoiding the knife, and bring her elbow – the metal one – into contact with the back of his head with an audible clang. The man’s head snapped back with the force of the blow, and he dropped to the ground in a senseless heap.
His partner brought his fists up and came in swinging. Jennifer brought her own arm up, deflecting the blows easily. She gave ground, letting him come forward and gain confidence, then used the momentum from one of his punches to spin around him and deliver a blow to the temple that caused him to stagger to the side. At that point, Jennifer brought her leg around and took his knee out, with another blow to the head sending him to the same unconscious realm as his partner.
Jennifer looked at the two unconscious would-be muggers and brushed her arms off, feeling satisfied. The feeling didn’t last as she quite suddenly realized that Clarissa had just witnessed the entire scene and was staring at her wide-eyed. “Can you call the police? Or we can just leave them here and go. If you don’t want to uh. Deal with cops.”
Clarissa seemed to be in a state of shock. “What…?”
“The police.” Jennifer said, patiently. “Do you want to call them, or do you want to just go? We can do either.”
“You just… that was…”
Jennifer placed her hands gently on Clarissa’s shoulders. “Hey, look at me. Breathe, okay? Focus.”
Clarissa stared back into Jennifer’s eyes, and seemed to master herself a little. Her breathing, at any rate, seemed to have slowed down.
“Good.” Jennifer said, still not taking her hands off Clarissa’s shoulders. “Now, do you want to call the police? Or do you want me to just take you home and these two will wake up with headaches in ten or fifteen minutes?”
Clarissa thought about the question for a moment. Eventually, she nodded. “I’ll… I’ll call the police. Just to be… just to make sure these guys don’t come back for us or something.”
Jennifer nodded. “Okay. Make the call. We can give our statements, and then I’ll take you home. Sound like a plan?”
“Yeah it uh…” Clarissa looked down at the two unconscious men again. “Holy shit Jennifer, where did you learn to do that? How did you—”
“Long story.” Jennifer said, a little brusquely. “Well, not that long of a story, actually. A buddy of my brother’s taught me how to fight. As a favor.”
“As a favor?”
“I’ll tell you the whole story some other time, okay? I don’t know how long these two will be out, so the sooner you call the police the better.”
Clarissa nodded and made the call while Jennifer paced back and forth and felt the adrenaline bleed out of her system. Things were, Jennifer knew, about to become complicated – obscenely, frustratingly complicated. The police would take a report, and that would get digitized, and while it was a fairly minor incident, it expanded her footprint. It put her on the radar of those with eyes to see it, even if there was nothing necessarily identifying about her. It also meant having to talk to the police, which was not something she was particularly willing to do in the best of situations, never mind in a situation involving assault and battery.
The soft sound of Clarissa’s footsteps behind her brought Jennifer out of her thoughts, and she turned around, arranging her expression into something a little more relaxed. “Hey, kid. Cops on the way?”
“Yeah, they say they’ll be here in a couple minutes.” Clarissa said, still looking a little rattled. “Think they’ll still be out when they get here?”
Jennifer shrugged. “Probably. If they aren’t, I’ll deal with them. They aren’t exactly professionals.”
The look Clarissa gave Jennifer spoke volumes. “Are you?”

BTS Jungkook: Be With A Guy Who Loves Pets
Italics - Flashback
Tumblr media
“Are you seriously putting a Go Pro on Cloudie?”
“Yeah, I wanna see his point of view.” Jungkook whined like a kid as he strapped on the camera on their pet’s back.
A guy who likes pets tend to be friendlier and smile more.
Jungkook was excited when he found out that a dog café opened up near their apartment.
“Hyung! Hyuuuung! We have to go to that dog café while we don’t have a busy schedule.” Jungkook plopped down on the couch next to Jimin and Taehyung who were playing a video game.
“Why do we need to go to a dog café when we already have a dog?” Yoongi asked after he heard the maknae.
“Well, for one our pets are not with us right now. And another reason is that you don’t let us play with Holly whenever she’s here.” Jungkook’s response made Yoongi scoff while the 95line agreed.
“We can go later.”  Jungkook suggested excitedly.
“Weren’t you supposed to go to the gym?” Jimin finally turned to look at Jungkook when Taehyung killed his character.
“Dogs over gym hyung. Besides I can work on my biceps too if I carry the dogs.”
Jungkook, Jin, Jimin and Taehyung just couldn’t say no to the youngest and accompanied him to the dog café.
Before _______ could even finish her welcome greeting, the boys were welcomed by a mix of dogs. One golden retriever was attempting to lick Jungkook’s face while Taehyung already picked up a Pomeranian.
Jin and Jimin ruffled the pets they passed by as they went straight to the counter.
“Hi, welcome to our dog café. Because we are still in our soft opening, we are offering 20% discount on drinks while 10% off on our food items.” _______ was amazed that the group of friends that entered their café, all looked like they came from a manga.
“Oh that’s a great deal! We’ll order one Americano, one caramel machiatto, one cola, banana bread, and…JK what do you want?” Jin called the attention of Jungkook who was still being showered with love.
Jungkook detached himself from them with a big smile as he walked up to the counter. He intended to look up at the menu board but his gaze unintentionally got stuck when he made eye contact with the barista taking their orders.
“Hello. We have discounts on everything.” She smiled professionally at him, but deep inside she thought he was such an eye-candy.
“Oh…uh yeah kimbap.” Jungkook tried to redeem himself by saying the first thing that came to mind, which unfortunately earned him laughs.
“Yah kid they don’t have kimbap here.” Taehyung playfully slapped him on the arm. Jungkook felt a bit embarrassed but seeing and hearing the barista’s giggle kinda made it okay.
He knows how to love selflessly. He knows their needs and would prioritize them maybe even before him.
Compared to the others, Jungkook became a regular at the dog café. He even offers to do coffee errands and buy for his hyungs, much to their surprise.
“Is there some magical potion in their coffee that made our Jungkook nicer to us?” Namjoon asked out loud after Jungkook asked if they wanted him to buy them caffeine for 4th time in a week.
“I go for the dogs…and you’ve always ordered me around to do the errands anyway.” Jungkook tried to defend himself.
“Hmmm…in my opinion it’s not really the coffee or the dogs. Maybe it has something to do with the pretty barista noona.” Hoseok’s teasing received a thrown pillow from the glaring maknae.
“Ooohh Jungkookie finally has a crush.” Jimin shouted before running back inside his room to escape the muscular pig’s wrath.
Jungkook was in the middle of walking towards the café when it suddenly started raining hard. Fortunately he had a hoodie on so he was still dry even if it took him a few seconds to open his umbrella.
He reached the café and shook off the water droplets on his umbrella before leaving it by the door. Jungkook’s eyes widened when he saw that _______ and her co-worker was running off to try to towel-dry the active dogs. Apparently they were playing outside when it rained and it excited them all the more.
“Sorry JK, I’ll get your order in one minute.” ________ looked at Jungkook apologetically as they were currently understaffed. Fortunately the café was empty since they were just about to open when Jungkook arrived.
“No it’s okay. Do you need my help?” He put his bag down and went to the stack of towels placed on one table before catching one of the dogs. He knows that dogs can catch a cold and get sick if their fur is left wet and cold air gets to them. He sat on the floor near _______ and they dried the troublesome cute dogs together.
“Thank you so much Jungkook, you really made it faster and easier for us.” _______ really appreciated Jungkook’s help.
“We were in Japan last weekend and I bought some dog treats and toys for the doggies.” Jungkook brought up when they finished with their task.
“Oh my gosh, you didn’t have to. You’re a customer here.” He was too nice to them…it’s dangerous for the barista’s heart.
“No no no, it’s okay. I wanted to. And uhm…I also got something for you.” Jungkook was too shy to even admit he thought of her and bought her something.
Jungkook sheepishly handed over a cherry blossom hair pin. Both of them blushed, their cheeks matched the pinkness of the cherry blossom design.
He knows that having a pet, whether a dog or cat, means responsibility. Thus, he is the type of guy who is not afraid of long–term plans.
Jungkook fixed the straps of his backpack as he jogged towards, you guessed it, the dog café. However this time, he saw a scene that immediately made him furrow his brow.
________ was nowhere in sight. Jungkook ordered his drink with Hyung-sik, one of the baristas he already became familiar with, and then asked where she was.
“Hey man. Uhm…today’s not really a good day, we got some news and she really didn’t take it well.”
“Do you know where can I find her?” He asked, worried what could have caused her distress.
Jungkook went up to the 2nd floor where she saw _______. She was at the café’s balcony, zoned out, her nose red and her eyes puffy. Hyung-sik already informed Jungkook that their boss wasn’t happy with the income of the café…so he’s thinking of closing it down and letting some of the dogs be adopted.
“Hey noona…” Jungkook spoke softly as he approached her. He brought along Cotton, the white toy poodle that wanted to be petted earlier, hoping she could cheer her up too.
_______ looked up at him and immediately tried to wipe the unshed tears. “Jungkook, I told you it’s okay not to call me noona. Why are you up here anyway?”
“Hyung-sik hyung told me what happened. I want to tell you it’s going to be okay but I know your feelings would say differently.” The mature and dependable side of Jungkook naturally came out.
_______ sighed, since they’ve been ‘friends’ for a few months now she thought that it would be okay to open up to him.
“I’m more worried about the dogs. I mean…they all have to go their separate ways if we really do close up. It’s funny that you brought up Cotton here since I am planning to adopt her. She’s the only one that meets the criteria of my landlord. The others are planning to adopt one too.”
“If ever, can I adopt as well?” Jungkook asked, since he too has gotten attached to the furry babies.
“You want to?”
“Yeah, I mean the guys and I always find it a stress-reliever whenever we come here. We’d love to give home to one of them.” The first part may be true. But when he said ‘we’ again , he really meant ‘I’. It’s going to take the whole band some convincing, specifically the hyung-line, to allow him to keep a dog. It’s like a kid asking his parents for his first pet.
“Really?” She was surprised at how easy it was for him to take off a burden off her shoulder.
“Cloudie perhaps?” Jungkook mentioned one of his favorite dogs in the cafe.
“That would be amazing. Cloudie and Cotton are best friends so it would be great for them to continue to see each other to remain close friends, like us.” ______ smiled as the dog on her lap continued to lick her hands.
“Maybe we can be even more?” Jungkook didn’t mean to actually voice out his thoughts…but the unintentional confession just happened. ‘Holy sh-‘
_______ caught on this words and quickly looked up at him, yet his eyes were looking at everywhere but her.
“I’d like that.” _______ admitted shyly with a bashful smile.
Jungkook’s eyes widened and got the courage to look back at her “Yeah?”
She nodded timidly while he bit he lower lip, trying to conceal the grin that wanted to escape.
“So if, uhm…hypothetically, I asked you out on a date, would that be too soon?”
“Hypothetically, you can take me out during my days off, which you already know, right?”
“So…tomorrow then?” Jungkook had a hopeful look on his face, which was met by another nod.
Just like a man’s best friend, the owner is also loyal to his partner. He does not get intimidated by commitment.
The crew tried to save the café, one last ditch effort to increase marketing and raise their profits.
When _______ mentioned their plan in passing, Jungkook immediately came up with an idea.
“Hyungnim, do you remember that mascot costume that we used for the ‘For You’ music video?”
“Yeah, what about it?” The group’s manager was confused about the sudden interest.
“Do you think the prop or wardrobe department still has it?”
Luckily for Jungkook, the stylists still kept the Pooh-like costume in the building.
Despite being uncomfortable inside it, Jungkook soldiered on and stood in Hongdae to hand out fliers. _______ didn’t know that it was Jungkook inside the mascot, she thought he was hired by the boss. The person inside was not speaking too, just randomly dancing and approaching people.
“You’re sooo cute” ______ hugged the soft mascot before coming back to her senses. “Hey, it must be really hot inside there. Come on, let’s go back to the shop.” _______ found it admirable that whoever was inside continued to give out fliers even when they were walking back.
________ opened the door to give way to the big fluffy mascot to enter first before rejoicing as her skin felt the cold wind from the air-condition.
“Jungkook?!” ________ gasped when Jungkook finally removed the head part of the mascot, his hair sticking to his forehead. “YAH! You were inside the whole time?!”
“Surprise?” Jungkook gave a tired smile, he closed his eyes when he felt _______ dabbing the sweat from his face. It was uncomfortable but it was worth it for the one that’s been running through his mind.
In the end, they still didn’t meet the manager’s standards and had to let go of the dog café.
Back at the dorm…
“WHY IS THERE A DOG IN MY KITCHEN?!”
You can not only see that he is boyfriend material...but husband material too as he treats the dogs like his own kids.
“Paw.” Cloudie listened to his owner and raised one of his paws. “So dirty.” Jungkook shook his head as he cleaned his pet after playing fetch with him.
“What do you expect when you play with him at the park?” ______ chuckled as she tried to review the footage captured by the camera. “He gets so excited with the iron man plushy.”
“Like father, like son” Jungkook smirked. In the beginning he didn’t want the iron man plushy to have the pet’s saliva and other dirt from nature, but then Cloudie stole it from the bedside table and would not let go. Jungkook just gave in and promised himself to buy a new Iron Man toy for himself. Jungkook then left his ‘son’ and girlfriend in the park, to pick up Cotton from the grooming place across the street.
The sun was shining bright and it was only now that _______ noticed something was reflecting against the sun.
“What is that?” _______ thought to herself as she tried to find the source of the blinding light. It seemed to have been coming from Cloudie…but how?
_______ crouched down to meet Cloudie’s level. He tried to attack her with licks but _______ commanded him to stay still so she could take a good look at him. She then finally found the source of the light, a thick yarn was tied around the collar of the golden retriever, and in the middle of it was a ring. ______ removed the string from the dog to study the ring. It was rose gold and had a heart in the middle. The ring was actually protected by a cling wrap but the main question is what was it doing on Cloudie?
“You finally found it huh?” Jungkook came back to the bench, carrying a newly groomed Cotton. “It’s been on Cotton’s collar for the past two weeks now. I only transferred it to Cloudie today since she was getting a bath and cut.”
“Jungkook…what does this mean?” ________’s heart was already beating faster, her mind racing with thoughts.
“It’s a promise ring…or a couple ring. I have one too.” Jungkook then showed a ring that has been hanging on his necklace but hidden underneath his shirt. “I know it may still be early in our relationship to get engaged, but this signifies my promise to show you that I can be the man you want to spend the rest of your life with. I already know you are the one for me. Once we feel we’re stable enough, that you realize I am your soulmate, then I will propose to you. I want you to want me to marry you in the future and be each other’s forever.” He could already see them living together. Maybe their dream house would have a swimming pool and a garden where they can play with the pets and even maybe their future kids. But for now, he’s going to be selfish and just want her all to himself, with the exception of their current fur babies. Quiet nights or crazy ones, he doesn’t care as long as it is with her.
“You…” If this wasn’t a proposal then _______ couldn’t imagine what kind of speech Jungkook will have once he finally asks her the question. “You keep making me fall harder and harder for you.”
“That is the plan.” Jungkook smiled before leaning down to kiss her softly.
“But Jungkook…” The ‘but’s’ always made Jungkook nervous. Did he overwhelm her?
“What is it?”
“I think…I think I want a kitten.” She said seriously before chuckling, knowing that she somewhat scared him. He released a breath that he didn’t know he was holding in, leaning his forehead against hers.
“Whatever you want…as long as we all get together with the cat. But if we get one, do you think we can shock the hyungs again by leaving him or her at the dorm?” The troublemakers just grew in numbers.
I HOPE YOU ENJOYED MY FIRST SCENARIO FOR 2017. I would appreciate the feedback to encourage me to continue.
