"Two students get closer to eachother in a time, that does not intend this. Will the one be able to leave the ruins of his past behind and follow the call of the other?"

Our short film Fernherrlichkeit tells the story of the student Richard, who, under the pressure of his family past, is clinging to it, but is shown a different perspective by his fellow student Anton. Fernherrlichkeit highlights the tension between homosexual love and the societal constraints of a still-current past - a conflict that has been discussed many times before, but here from its own aesthetic perspective.
This is a supra-regional short film project for which we have selected the most beautiful and most suitable locations from all over Germany. Just like the filming locations, the crew is made up of filmmakers from Hamburg, Berlin, Leipzig, Düsseldorf, Köln, among others. However, these geographic distances also pose the greatest technical production challenge for us:
How do we get everyone involved to the right location at the right time? – Above all, a financial question.
In order to be able to implement Fernherrlichkeit with our artistic and production-technical demands, financial means are of course necessary. A significant part of this budget consists of equity.
For the other part of the budget, we rely on you: the crowd.
With your support, it will be possible to reimburse all participants and crew members for their travel expenses. That would cover the biggest cost item for us. So if you would like to see "Fernherrlichkeit" on a screen in the future, we would be happy if you support us! Thanks very much!
A PLACE IN THE MIDDLE (2014)
dir. Joe Wilson & Dean Hamer
Eleven year old Ho'onani dreams of leading the hula troupe at her inner-city Honolulu school. The only trouble is that the group is just for boys. She's fortunate that her teacher understands first-hand what it's like to be 'in the middle' - the ancient Hawaiian tradition of embracing both male and female spirit. Together they set out to prove that what matters most is to be true to yourself.

hey tumblr, i'm making a short film with some friends and would like to know any good charities to fundraise for. We know we want to put profits towards a charity but were not sure which one yet. any ideas on good ones ? y'all are my most reliable source for things that acutally put the money to the thing they promise
Aloha! I've been wanting to post these for a long time since "On the Way Home" came out!
Shot #1 was pretty easy since the cat people were barely moving. All I had to do was animate the ear twitching and tails swaying side to side.
I really love animating Susan, Leo and Evan, but shot #2 did take up most of my weekend compared the first shot. Probably because these cats were moving a lot more. The leader asked me to add legs for Susan and Leo and I did so without question.
Finally, we have the infamous Mei walking scene for shot #3. I was definitely nervous for this, because this scene consisted of a full-body animation that involves walking, sitting and swinging her backpack. The backpack was the most difficult and time-consuming to figure out. I tried my best to make sure the main character and her backpack were on model.
Despite the crazy hours I had to work on these, I gotta say this has got to be one of my favorite project to work for. Every did a great job with their own scenes and the composition team just made our animations even better lol😆.
If you couldn't tell, I did the rough animation and cleanup for Mei and the three cat people shown in this video. Aloha and Mahalo for those that watched the short film "On the Way Home"😸!
