rings (gojo x wife! reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
in which you want your arranged husband to finally give you a ring
warnings: arranged marriage au (part of the gojo's wife series), gojo calls you his wife, suggestive bc gojo is a menace, reader lowkey downbad, i'm back after 4(?) months oops & lmk if i’m missing anyone for the tag list
Tumblr media
There’s a gentle breeze that escapes from the open windows of the cafe you sit in, the quiet chatter blending in with the bossa nova jazz that plays from the speakers. Only a few people reside in the building–some of which include students, friend groups, or strangers just hoping for a nice cup of coffee.
Your eyes flit to Utahime using a straw to make circles in her drink. She was the one who recommended this cafe, referring to it as an “underground” location–a phrase that you would’ve not expected her to use. Correctly at that.
“How are you doing with that idiot,” your other friend, Shoko asks. “Do you guys still sleep in separate rooms?”
You watch her reach for a cigarette and frown, your hand slapping hers lightly. “There's a ‘no smoking policy’ here. And to answer your question, no we’re not. We’ve been sleeping in the same room for a little over a month now.”
“On the same bed?”
“Yes?”
“And that’s it?” She drawls, arching an elegant brow as she puts her box of cigarettes away–taking another sip of her black coffee. “Nothing else? You know, like clothes gone, french kissing–”
“Yes that’s it! Keep it down here,” you hiss, shooting another glare at Utahime who stifles a laugh by pretending to drink her tea.
Shoko rolls her eyes, taking another sip of her coffee–this time narrowing her eyes at you. “So why are you sulking?”
“I’m not sulking.”
“Yes you are,” she retorts and you frown when you hear Utahime agree. They’ve always been so sharp. “Something’s bothering you so tell us.”
You purse your lips, gripping your cup a bit tighter as you heave a sigh. You’re avoiding their gazes, biting the inside of your cheek. “It’s stupid.”
“We’re not gonna judge you,” Utahime gives you a reassuring smile, nudging Shoko who tries to take out her cigarette box again.
“Okay,” you start. “Something feels like it’s missing. Not that it’s ‘Toru–”
“You call him ‘Toru?” Shoko laughs quietly, rolling her eyes when you narrow your eyes at her. She sighs. “Continue.”
“There's nothing wrong with ‘Toru and I feel like I’m expecting something from him. We’re making progress with the whole husband and wife thing but I guess I just want,” you pause. “I guess I’m just wondering when he’s gonna give me a ring…”
They both blink at you, with Utahime making a sound with her throat. “There’s no way that idiot’s that stupid.”
“But that makes sense. The wedding just happened on paper since the elders wanted Gojo to get married quickly,” Shoko adds. “So? What are you gonna do? Drop hints?”
“That’s not really my way of doing things…”
Shoko rolls her eyes for the nth time, frowning at the lack of coffee in her cup. “Things would be a lot easier between you two if you just communicated,” she says, holding a hand up when you’re about to respond. “But I say give him some time. Gojo might be a lot sharper than he lets on.”
Tumblr media
You replay your friend’s words in your head as you dice the carrots mindlessly–throwing them in a bowl with chopped up potatoes. Ever since Gojo told you that he hardly has any time to cook with the sudden rise of curses, you’ve been wanting to surprise him with a home cooked meal: curry rice. After all, you were finally granted some leisure time after a mission so you were more than happy to set up a surprise.
Not that it was much of a surprise since he was home earlier than usual–not that you were mad since it was rare for him to arrive home just a little after you did. You perk up, catching a glimpse of his boyish grin that seems to spread across his face. “Oh? What’s this?”
You clear your throat, feeling a bit bashful at how pretty his smile was. “I’m making dinner for us since we haven’t been able to have a home cooked meal in a while.”
“Well, aren't I a lucky guy?” He ruffles your hair as if it were a habit of his, his eyes as soft as his voice the moment he leans down. “You mind if I take a shower first? I promise it’ll be quick.”
“Your shower’s are never quick,” you comment, giggling at how he acts as if he’s been caught. As he leaves, you feel yourself getting giddy at how wide his grin had been when he saw you. You wonder if he always looked at you like that and you have to mentally calm yourself down by reminding yourself to not get too excited.
By the time you set the plates down, you already hear the padding of his feet against the marble floor. He’s dressed comfortably in a pair of sweats and a pullover, sitting in front of you. He smiles again, murmuring a low “hello” as if somewhat shy.
You smile in return, observing him as he takes a bite of the food you made. Your heart stops for a few seconds, gauging his expression for any sign of disgust–feeling it explode in your chest when he eats it like a starved man. “Is it good?”
“So good,” he answers without hesitation, flashing another grin at you–the same grin that makes you feel warm inside. “My wife’s so talented.”
“It’s just curry rice,” you respond, feeling a bit sheepish at how easily he sings praises to you. You realize you’ve been watching him eat for a little over than a minute, your hands reaching to the utensils to try your own food.
The conversation takes off naturally. He’s asking about your day at work and you do the same; he teases you and you shoot another remark at him. It’s all good-natured until he pauses, looking a little hesitant. “Listen (Name),” his voice is lower, nervous. “I know I should've done this before but it really didn’t cross my mind…”
Your reaction is instantaneous as much as you try to hide it. The ring. Was he going to give you one? Your eyes flit to his furrowed brows and the way he pokes the inside of his cheek. If he’s this nervous, then it should be pertaining to a ring right? You’re already answering before he can finish. “Yes.”
He blinks, peering directly at you. “Really?”
“Really,” you nod, your smile wide as you lean a bit closer to the table.
He breaks out in a large smile, breathing a sigh of relief. “Wow I didn’t know you liked Netflix so much.”
All of a sudden, the delusions you’ve been building up topple like dominos. Your voice’s stuck in your throat as a wave of bemusement hits you. “Huh?”
“I was gonna give you my Netflix account! I completely forgot to give you it for a while and the kids have been on my ass about it.”
“Y-Your Netflix account?” You murmur in disbelief, wondering if sharing a Netflix account was a golden rule couples had to obey.
It was Gojo’s turn to be confused, his pretty blues blinking at you. “That’s what we’re talking about right?”
Disappointment drenches you from top to bottom but you quickly mask it with an easy going smile. “Yeah! I love Netflix…”
You breathe a sigh of relief, mentally applauding yourself for not mentioning anything about a ring. You take another bite of your food, not noticing the way Gojo looks at you–gulping as if hiding a secret of his own.
Tumblr media
“I want to give you something,” your husband’s voice is gentle, velvety as he pulls you towards the couch.
He smells good, you think to yourself–earthy and fresh. It’s faint yet it’s enough to make you dizzy. “Something?”
“That’s right,” he coos, grinning down at you from the couch. Again, you have that undeniable feeling of hope choking you, trying your hardest not to show your excitement as he reaches in his pocket.
Yet, instead of a small, round object, you’re faced with a card. A black card. Not a ring. Your lips part in shock as the initial disappointment becomes surprise. “I can’t take this!”
You’re left with more disbelief at how his expression seems to fall dramatically. “Why not…?”
“Because I just can’t!”
“But you’re my wife and I wanna spoil you,” he tries to reason and you have to try not to swoon how he calls you his wife even though you already know it. You clear your throat, shaking your head rapidly.
“I can’t ‘Toru–”
“Yes you can,” he huffs, his lips falling into a pout that you would’ve found funny if he didn’t just hand you his card. “Trust me on this one. You’ll make me happy if you use it. So treat yourself, alright?”
You frown, murmuring another protest and stopping when he glances at you from under his shades, his lips curling into a coy smile once he sees the guilt in your eyes–his mind piecing things together. “Aren’t you a sweetheart?” He ruffles your hair once more, making your heart do another jump. “Just take it. Please?”
You think he’s doing it on purpose–the way he looks at you as if you’re a diamond among rocks. It’s hard not to say no when someone looks at you like that–harder when it’s Gojo. You sigh. “Fine. But I’m not gonna use it often.”
He grins that smile you like again, his thumb grazing your jaw. “That’s my girl.”
You avert your eyes at his binding smile, ignore how he seems to enjoy teasing you a bit too much. You sigh, ignoring the way your heart flutters all over again. And with the way he watches you, you think his stomach’s doing somersaults as well
Tumblr media
It’s early in the morning, dark in the room you share with Gojo–the sun barely awake just as you were. There’s the sound of quiet shuffling, the spot next to your empty. It must be one of those missions, you think to yourself.
You hear him murmur a low curse at the sound of something dropping, feeling amusement at how he tries to quietly put the item back in its original place. You think of falling asleep again but your gut tells you to stay awake, still listening to his quiet pacing.
You feel how the mattress slightly dips, his cologne filling your senses–luring you to sleep. Out of sheer willpower, you try not to react as his fingers reach down to graze your cheek–try not to open your eyes to see what kind of expression he wore. You wonder if he did this every time he had a mission so early in the morning, feeling an unfamiliar feeling tug at your heart.
His voice is barely above a whisper as he leans down. “I’ll be back home by dinner today. I promise.”
Part of you debates on falling asleep and it wins, until you feel him shuffle a bit closer. And just like that, you feel cold metal slip on your finger–your ring finger. The material fits perfectly around your finger and your hand twitches as you hear him stand up to leave.
It hits you a bit later than you’d expect and you would’ve never thought realization would sound like the front door opening. You scramble out of bed, tripping on the blankets as you smile so hard it hurts.
“Toru?! Wait! Don't leave yet! Toru come back!”
And like you hoped, he looks back, the metal of a ring similar to yours greets you.

Geto Suguru
Tumblr media
He hates those monkeys. Like a mantra, he reminds himself over and over again while he watches you from afar, stunned from your sudden presence. How your delicate hips swing from side to side on this hot summer day, how flawless you look when those innocent rays of sunshine hit your skin just right.
And then your eyes meet yours. Oh, how he hates the way his heart skips a beat, how a small smile forces itself onto his lips while your whole face lights up in an instant, feet stopping right in their tracks in order to rush towards him.
You met Geto Suguru when you were at your lowest, haunted by sleepless nights and the feeling of being watched all the time. Just when you were on the brink of going insane, you found out about this strange cult leader who healed countless people before you. With one swift motion of his somehow elegant hands, you were healed, regained your smile, your will to live.
And somehow, you can’t help but get mesmerized by that man with the charismatic brown eyes and smile so gorgeous that you simply can’t keep your mind off him.
Suguru clenches his hands into fists, forces a wall up his heart so high that you can’t climb it. This is ridiculous, so disgusting that he can’t look at himself in the mirror anymore. You are a monkey, a non-jujutsu sorcerer. Damn, you are like every other girl that rushed to him, dark circles underneath your bright orbs, begging on your knees for relief. But why…Why does his heart almost beat out of his chest, seeing you in that cute summer dress? He should kill you right here on the spot, should end your puny life just like he did with others countless times before. You are nothing but a disgusting human, a bug underneath his boots.
“I can’t believe you’re actually here!”, you cry out, storming his way with your hair waving in the light breeze like in those trashy movies Shoko always forced him to watch.
“I was actually on my way home”, he explains softly, cursing himself over and over for his gentle tone.
Damn, he didn’t even take your money back then.
“I…I don’t know if a simple thank you will ever be enough”, you breathed out.
Just before you stormed towards him.
Just before you wrapped your hands around his neck tightly, pressed your delicate body against his, engulfed him with the warmth of your presence.
Suguru couldn’t help but just sit there, widened eyes staring at the wall opposite of him where the blood of his last victim still shone through the white paint.
You, a monkey, dared to touch his figure with your disgusting hands? The instinct of pushing you away while killing you right on the spot came swiftly, but somehow…
He loses his breath when you wrap your arms around him again, your intoxicating smell making his heart skip a beat along with the sensation of your naked skin touching his.
Something about you is different.
“I actually just went shopping for you”, you bubble out, fingers hectically searching for something specific in the countless shopping bags you carry with you.
Is it your well-formed figure, how your body seems to fit right in his hands? Is it your tender appearance or the way your fingertips seem to touch his heart instead of his skin? How your words always hit the right nerve, make him waver, make him wonder? No, despite being a non-jujutsu sorcerer, you radiate nothing but kindness. There is in fact no cursed energy dripping out of any pore of your delicate body, not a single spark of negativity since the day he took that curse off your shoulders.
You are pure, you are kind. And you seem to be the only person apart from that man years ago who has absolutely zero cursed energy, who isn’t responsible for these curses. You are everything he hates, everything he fights against and yet you’re not.
And you aren’t even aware of it.
“I know you prefer salty over sweet, so I got you this. It’s a speciality…-“
Suguru can’t listen any longer, eyes fixated on the way your pretty mouth moves and your wild mimics. How nice it must feel to caress them with his very own mouth until they get puffy, feeling your breath hitch against his cheek while he holds you in his arms.
No. He shakes his head ever so slightly. You are a monkey, he hates you. He hates the way he urges to make you laugh just to hear you giggle. He hates the way his eyes always find you even in the crowdiest places in Tokyo, how his breath hitches even though he has seen you so often. He hates how he instinctively visits the places he knows you love, the back of his heart always searching for you.
His heart…What is this strange feeling? He hasn’t felt anything despite hatred and grief for so long that it might be a heart attack.
Gently, you open his hand and place a little package inside of his, orbs shining so brightly that he gets lost in them again.
No. That warmth spreading in his guts tells him otherwise. This isn’t a heart attack, let alone hatred.
“I think I love you, (y/n).”
He watches how your eyes grow wider and wider with each passing second, the other package you were holding in your now numb hand falling to the ground.
“You-…what?”, you stutter.
Fuck, fuck, fuck.
He shouldn’t have thought, let alone say something like this. Love? Suguru doesn’t love anyone. He killed his own parents, wouldn’t even shy away from killing his former best friend if he has to. No, in Suguru’s world there is no place for a heart, especially not for loving a monkey, a disgusting creature-
The stinging sensation from your tender touch against his cheek makes his mind go blank, forces his eyes to meet yours. That breath-taking smile on your face, your fingertips caressing his oversensitive skin…
“I think I love you too, Suguru.”
Suguru fails to breathe, fails to do anything apart from staring at you. You, loving him back?
Why would anyone love someone like him?
“You can’t love someone like me. Not after all the things I’ve done, the things I’m still about to do. You wouldn’t say that-“
“The moment I met you I knew about the things you did. I saw those blood splatters on the wall, your cold gaze. But now all I’m seeing is warmth. All I’m seeing is you.”
He’s lost at words, lost at sight. At the moment, there’s only one thing to do, one thing that feels right.
And that is pressing his lips against yours the way he always imagined, allowing his hands to press your body closer to his, enjoy the sensation of your breath hitching against his mouth.
Maybe this is what love feels like. After all this time…
It’s you.
Tumblr media
Ryomen Sukuna
Tumblr media
“(y/n) is in great danger, master Sukuna-“
“Why would I care about that?”, the king of curses mutters to himself in an instant.
The truth is, his nerves are tingling, mind clouded by countless questions. How did you manage to get yourself into danger when you are considered the queen of curses, so powerful that people slowly but surely forgot to fear him? It shouldn’t seek his interest that you might get killed, it isn’t any of his business. After all, you are nothing but his opponent, a pain in his ass.
“I got bored, so I made sure you’ll get reincarnated, pretty boy”, you teased him, your low voice being the first thing he heard when he awoke.
“Shit, I hoped you’re dead by now”, he replied in sheer boredom.
Like in slow motion, you emerged out of the darkness with your body as hot as it was when he last saw you 500 years ago. Your hand wrapped itself around his neck tightly, deadly orbs glared right through his soul.
“I won’t die before you, Sukuna.”
Somehow, he always relied on the fact that you never left his side. A sickening feeling of discomfort crawls up his back, flashbacks of your oh so pretty face haunting his mind. It would be so easy to let you get killed right here and now in Shibuya. What a relieve it would be to be the kind of curses and not getting questioned by your presence.
But something lifts him off his throne, forces him to listen to the words that hit the brat’s ears. What is he supposed to do?
“Take your dirty hands off me and show me where she is, curse.”
The curse on top of him stumbles backwards, gives him the space he needs to stand up and look around when he’s finally in control of this puny human shell. Fuck, his life would be so much easier without you in it. But still, Sukuna finds himself pinning that volcano curse against a nearby wall, almost scratching his face off with his free hand.
“Show me where she is or die.”
“She was severely injured by Gojo Satoru”, the curse presses out.
“Satoru Gojo is sealed, you fool.”
“But he wasn’t back then. She wasn’t able to heal herself and until now, she is still trapped underneath a curtain.”
“Show me.”
Every breath hurts while your body is plastered onto the floor, limbs not able to move a single inch. That bastard really caught you off guard. You weren’t even able to unleash your full potential when he hit you with a wave of hollow purple and slammed you into a building until you hit the ground, taping you into this hole with a curtain.
You aren’t an idiot. Absolutely no one is able to save you in that state, not when the queen of curses herself isn’t able to pull herself out of that situation. You were a fool when you thought you were ready to face him with a third of your full potential.
“Rookie mistake”, you breathe out, a muted laughter escaping your lips along with a trail of blood.
You never imagined your life to end like this, especially through the hands of a random jujutsu sorcerer. How will he react when he finds out?
He. Sukuna. The kind of curses, your opponent for as long as you can think of, your greatest enemy until he disappeared into thin air. But no, this isn’t enough. Hatred doesn’t fit your feelings towards him quite right and you’ve known it for a long time.
Out of instinct, you shake your head so violently that you feel like breaking your own neck. How ridiculous to even consider these kinds of feelings, to let this cursed word cross your clouded mind. Love is weakness, love is an invention of dumb humans, nothing for a queen of curses.
Your glossy eyes wander to your lifeless hand, covered in your very own blood, touched by him countless times before.
“I’ll kill you”, Sukuna hissed through gritted teeth while grabbing your hand and yanking it over your head.
“Tempting, but I have to decline”, you replied sarcastically, holding his threatening gaze without any issues.
“I fucking hate you, (y/n). God, you’re driving me insane.”
“What’s wrong, king of curses? Are you irritated by a simple woman like me?”, you teased him, his body so close that you could feel his heat.
“A simple woman? You are the devil”, he spat at you.
You can’t help but smile to yourself. What a shame that you didn’t manage to get on his nerves one last time. Hopefully he gets the job done and kills this whole fucking town.
Hopefully, he won’t forget about you. Slowly but surely your lids close themselves, ears ringing so violently that you fail to concentrate any longer. How nice it would have been to see Sukuna one last time.
To feel him one last time…
“Now, what do we have here? Are you really about to die here?”
“Don’t haunt me before I die”, you mutter, voice so muted that Sukuna almost fails to understand you.
You look absolutely broken, your body literally teared into pieces. And that curtain on top of you…That curse was right, this doesn’t look good at all. And somehow the king of curses feels panic rise inside of him, the sight of your breath getting stuck in your throat washing away the cheeky grin plastered on your face when reality hits him with full force.
You could die right here and now.
He doesn’t think twice. With a swift motion, he frees you from the curtain that was nothing but a minor shadow on top of you anymore, eaten up by your immense powers. Before his mind is able to stop him, he lifts your puny figure off the ground, carefully pressing your head against his chest.
“Don’t you dare to die here”, he warns you with a voice so soft that he is almost afraid of himself.
What the hell is this strange feeling that holds onto his heart, that doesn’t allow his gaze to leave your face? Your oh so gorgeous face, so shamelessly beautiful that it hurts.
“Almost sounds as if you’d care about me…”
He stops in his tracks, arms pressing you even tighter against his own body while your words echo through this fear-clouded mind.
“Because I do.”
His mouth replies faster than his mind is able to stop him, forcing your tired eyes open.
“You do…what?”
“Forget about that”, he mumbles in an instant, quickly starting to walk again.
“Say that again.”
“I would rather kill you.”
Tumblr media
Toji Fushiguro
Tumblr media
“What the hell are you doing here, Toji?”
“Was waiting for ya. Here, I ordered you something to eat.”
You roll your eyes at his shit-eating grin while letting yourself fall onto a chair opposite of him. It has been like this between you and Toji since you can remember, meeting up in a worn-down café to discuss another mission. Your life has always been shit. As a bounty hunter, you were on your own most of the time, relying exclusively on your own abilities. But when Toji came into your life, something changed.
You were never a couple, but still…The way he grins at you from time to time simply leaves you speechless, reminds you that there’s actually more about life than earning money to keep your head over water.
Stop this madness.
“You need something, right?”
There’s absolutely no use in thinking about these stupid things. Toji lost his wife some time ago, even has two kids. He told you over and over that he’ll never get into a relationship again, that he isn’t interested in dedicating his life to a single woman.
You stare at the fried rice in front of you, slowly but surely starting to eat. He definitely doesn’t feel the same.
“This is good”, you mutter with full mouth, a small smile forming on your lips.
But Toji can’t keep his gaze off you. From the first time he was forced to work with your annoying ass, you were always very easy to look at. And then your personality came in. When was the last time he actually smiled before he got to know you? Fuck, he has absolutely no clue. But he does every single time you do. It became an addiction to him, doing everything in his power just to see the corners of your mouth twitch.
“What you’re looking at, man?”, you mumble in such an unladylike manner that Toji can’t help but lean back in his chair, a small grin creeping up his face.
“Nothing, little pig.”
“That’s definitely not how you talk to a lady”, a oh so familiar voice comments.
“(y/n) ain’t a lady.”
And there it is again. A grin so wide that it shows your teeth with a glimmer in your orbs that leaves Toji’s heart pounding against his ribcage. What a beautiful sight you are, what a truly remarkable woman.
It’s almost like-
“I’ll get going now. Join me later?”, you question towards him on your way up.
“Sure”, he replies out of instinct, watching longingly as you walk out of the café.
“What is that look I’m seeing on your face, huh?”
The man next to him lights up a cigarette while he watches you closing the door behind you.
“Stop talking shit.”
“Only a fool would miss the way you look at (y/n). Somehow you’re the only one who manages to make her smile.”
“Oh yeah?”
Your smile. Your oh so gorgeous smile that lights up entire galaxies, your smile he always imagines before going to bed.
“And it seems like she’s doing the same with yours.”
Finally, Toji glares at Shiu, a huff escaping his lips.
“What can I say? I like her.”
“Like? Don’t you mean love?”
“Yeah, maybe…”

series masterlist | prologue
Tumblr media
Arrogant. Insufferable. Patronizing. Apathetic.
The list goes on.
Granted, Gojo is nowhere near close to you. You were barely friends.
If there is one person in Jujutsu High that he likes the least, it would be you. It’s not like he resents you, it’s just that you represent  everything he hated from being in a clan just like him.
From the way you strut your very expensive loafers to the way you shop to your heart’s content after every mission since your first year. Not to mention that you’re the all-perfect princess that your clan wants you to be.
“Gojo, please pass me the p-“
“No can do, shorty.”  He chirps, giving you a shit-eating grin.
You glared at him before motioning Shoko to hand you the pen instead. “Gojo, you know you kinda look like someone I like.”  You didn’t let him finish, crossing your arms before giving him a devilish smirk. “That cute little rat from Shrek.”
Gojo’s eyes widened at your insult but Suguru and Shoko were already snickering at him. He despises the idea that everyone seems to adore you, except him of course.
In the eyes of the higher ups and your family, you were the sweetest girl ever. Somehow, you’re always growing horns around him.
Everyone thinks that Gojo’s only messing with you whenever the two of you banter. Hell, there are some students gossiping that he has a crush on you (which he definitely doesn’t) But only Geto and Shoko know how much he actually dislikes you.
You seem so obedient with all your clans orders, following everything that’s asked of you, carrying the submissiveness and elegance a Y/L/N is supposed to have. And if there’s anything Gojo hated the most, it’s tradition. It’s why he’s in Jujutsu High in the first place, he wanted to change the system badly— and seeing you become the embodiment of the tradition he badly wants to change pisses him off.
Each time the higher ups get mad at him for not being in his ‘best behavior’, your name is constantly echoed around the meeting room. ‘You should be more like Y/L/N’ ‘Bring honor to your clan like how Y/L/N does.’
The only act of rebellion that you do is that your hair is dyed in a way that would make the higher ups frown. Your hair is recently dyed bright orange. He finds himself scoffing at the idea that you only get scolded because of a damn hair color. Gojo’s also confused with how cunning and sassy you are when there aren’t any prying eyes. Maybe you’re just doing that to seem cool.
Well, he just has to avoid you at all costs so you would stop annoying him and pestering his thoughts.
Unfortunately for him, Yaga has different plans.
“Satoru. Y/N.” Yaga announces when he was pairing up students for a mission but he doesn’t even get to finish because Gojo emits a loud dramatic groan from across the room.
“Why?” He whined, tilting his head up to create a dramatic effect. “It’s always been Suguru and I.”
“Satoru, you and Suguru need to be paired up with someone who's an expert in reversed curse technique. It’s your fault you haven’t learned it yet.”
Gojo crossed his arms and pouted. “Y/N can kiss my ass, teacher.”
“No thanks. I’m sure you don’t wash yours. I could smell you from afar, stinky.” Everyone else groaned as the two of you started another banter, forcing the meeting to be 5 minutes longer than usual— particularly because no one dares to cut off your argument (Yaga is too amused because of how much you put Gojo in his place.)
-.-
The mission didn’t go well. It was the first time you and Gojo worked together, and judging by your huge egos, your banter caused the both of you to get injured– you more so than Gojo. He was too reckless today, attempting to get a reaction out of you, which is why he got caught off guard when a 1st grade curse attacked him.
You pushed him out of the way, causing the curse to land a hit on your shoulder and right arm. Gojo stood still in his place in shock and your right arm was already injured when he snapped out of  his trance. He obliterated the curse easily but the damage has been done.
You’re just lucky it was a minor injury but the fact that you did that for him, considering how you two were at each other’s necks for the longest time confuses him. It disoriented him until the both of you arrived at Jujutsu High.
When he got patched up, he stood up to apologize but you were nowhere to be found. He assumes you’ve already healed yourself due to your reverse curse technique ability but he can’t help the nagging feeling in his mind.
You were quiet today— well, ever since this afternoon. And no he’s not keeping track, he’s just not used to not hearing your snarky remarks and sarcastic comebacks at his attempts to annoy the shit out of you.
You’re just ignoring him, giving short insults in response to his own for the most part of your mission until you shielded him from that curse.
His guilt weighs on him heavily as he strolls around the school, waiting for Shoko and Geto. but really it’s just to see you. Gojo had noticed that you’re always gone the moment after your mission’s debriefing, sometimes even when you’re injured.
At last, he saw you just a few blocks away from Jujutsu High, towards the new 7/11 store that opened a few months ago. Gojo tilts his head to the side and furrows his eyebrows before deciding to follow you as discreetly as he could.
He stood near a house behind the convenience store where he could be hidden by a large plant beside it. He watched you grab a few things off the shelves and talk with the cashier, who happily greets you at the counter. You must’ve been here frequently.
1 can of coke. A box of cigarettes. Coffee.
Gojo never took you as the type who would visit a convenience store, as shocking as that sounds. He knows you’re rich. Filthy rich. You’ve always been pampered just like him, everything down at your feet because you’re the most powerful sorcerer in your clan.
Finally, you got out of the store. Gojo’s eyes widened like saucers when you went straight to his hiding spot.
“You know,” You called out, putting a hand on your hip.  “It surprises me how much of an idiot you are despite being a notorious smartass. Your hair sticks out of the leaves because you’re so fucking tall, Gojo.”
“Heh.” He rubs his nape sheepishly, offering you a shy grin. “Didn’t think you’d see me.”
“Really?” You deadpan before walking away from him, back to Jujutsu High. He jogs up to your side. “Why are you hiding anyway? Spying on your rival or something?”
“Maybe.” He says lightly. It’s the first time any of you are talking normally to each other without malice. “Where are you going?”
“Somewhere.”
“Can I come?” He insisted, voice filled with excitement, leaving no hint that he’s gonna stop following you.  A smile tugs at the corner of your lips.
He looks like a puppy, following you around. It’s an amusing sight, even to  you.
“No.”  You still kept walking, paying no mind as Gojo continued to follow you.
He feels an unusual giddiness at the thought that you hadn’t outright pushed him away because if you really wanted to, you would have told him to leave.
You lead him to the abandoned fence with the sign ‘DO NOT ENTER’ in the restricted building of the school that had remained under construction for years. It was the tallest building in Jujutsu High. You wordlessly went up to the concealed stairs at the obscured side of the building and onto the rooftop.
You sat at the edge of the building, your feet dangling off the edge. Gojo cautiously followed your actions, opting to sit next to you. He observes you as you unravel bit by bit and it’s the first time he’s seen you this relaxed and vulnerable—something that you granted him the privilege to see.
Rummaging through your paper bag, you retrieved a can of his favorite drink, Coca-Cola. As you handed it to him, a subtle surprise flashed across his face before he muttered a sincere ‘thanks.
You then opened your box of Marlboro red and lit up a cigarette, putting it in between your lips before taking a drag. Gojo observes you silently, his mouth agape.  It was a revelation, discovering facets of you that he never anticipated. The act of you casually smoking, the ember casting a faint glow on your features, added another layer to the enigma that you are.
Gojo stays silent for a few  more minutes or so until you notice his confusion, mainly because his eyebrows are almost meeting and he’s staring intently into the abyss.
“Are you broken or something? You usually never stop yapping.” You joked, bumping your shoulder to his.
“I didn’t know you smoked.” Gojo says dumbfoundedly.
You chuckled but his question was left unanswered. He forgets about it completely because his brain short circuits when you move closer to him, taking off his sunglasses and perching it atop his head. His radiant baby blue eyes are out staring at you intently.
You give him a soft smile and point at the view in front of you. “I love going here after missions, sunset’s beautiful here.”
“you’re being nice to me. Why?”
Again. No answer. You just hummed in amusement and no words were spoken afterwards.
The sun begins to descend, casting a warm, golden glow over the view from below. The city sprawls out beneath the both of you and the skyline extends into the horizon, bleeding in hues of pink and orange. Both of you sit in silence and when Gojo turns to look at you, he feels his heart beat quickening every passing second.
You look so breathtaking as the remaining sunlight kisses your skin, creating a halo effect around you. He suddenly doesn’t know why his palms feel so sweaty and he can’t manage to land a punchline to make you roll your eyes playfully at him.
“I’m sorry I got distracted. Thank you for saving me today. I didn’t know you’d be more…” He trails off and you cut him off with a laugh so pretty enough that his head whipped to turn to you.
“Kind? Human? You think I’m just like my clan huh?” You giggled and it shocked him how light you’re taking the situation.
You must’ve gotten used to it.
Just like him.
You stayed silent for a while before speaking in a serious tone. “Just because I don’t defy my clan’s ideals freely as you do doesn’t mean I’m not against it. When you’re a woman, you have to play nice, you know? I don’t have much of a choice unlike you. I know you don’t like me but I shielded you because you’re my friend.”
It was a wonder for Gojo that he’s the only one you’re not on good terms with out of everyone in Jujutsu High. Hell, he even overheard Yaga asking you to call back those Kyoto Students. It’s a big deal because those pesky Kyoto Students are usually their rivals but for some reason they’re always looking for you.
Then comes the Tokyo students, whom he never sees not greeting you or asking to hang out with you. Come to think of it, their expressions are always brightening up whenever you’re around and he thought that maybe they’re not that welcoming to him because he’s loud. But it’s you. It’s all you.
From the way you listen intently to your friends, and your saccharine voice asking them about their day or whatever that piques their interest. You care, a lot. You even saved him from that grade 1 curse, resulting in a painful wound on your shoulder. Granted, you had the ability to heal yourself but who was he even in your life? and yet you took the fall for him.
Gojo always hated that everyone seemed to look at him as that ‘six-eyed kid from the Gojo clan’. He hated the rumors about him just because of your last name— something that he has done to you since the first time you stepped foot into the school.
He swallows his guilt and sets his pride aside. He wanted nothing more than to make it up to you.  “I’m sorry, Y/N. I’ve read you wrong. I thought you were just like the rest of them.”
“It’s alright.” You say nonchalantly as possible but the voice crack at the end gives you away. Gojo chooses to ignore that. This probably means a lot to you as much as it did to him. “I mean I get it, I actually admire your passion for changing the way our clans lead the Jujutsu World. I think you have the guts for standing up to them just like that.”
“You really think so?’ He scoots closer and gives you a small smile, his heartbeat quickening faster as he feels your warmth— your thighs almost touching.
“Yeah.” You grinned back, leaning your wait to his side before taking a sip from your coffee.
“So you think I’m pretty?” He looks at you and bats his eyelashes comedically.
You snorted in response and slapped his arm lightly.  “I’ll throw you off this building.”
Gojo forgot the passage of time in those 4 hours at that rooftop. The sun had already set and the moon was gleaming, already dark out. He likes talking to you but he enjoys it more when you’re the one doing the talking.
You talked about your school life, hobbies, even your life with your clan– anything that comes to mind. Talking to you is as easy as breathing. You’re just full of wisdom, kindness, and wit.
Gojo found out today that he actually likes making you laugh, something about it makes his stomach feel funny. He also found out your preferences in coffee, food, and even music.
“Don’t you dare tell that spot to anyone, Gojo.” You took one of the sweets in his hands and popped it in your mouth before giving him a teasing grin.
You’re now walking side by side on the way to the dormitory. He insisted on walking you to your dorm even if his dorm is from the other side of the building.
A chuckle escaped his lips as he matched your stride. “Yes, Ma’am.”  He replied with a teasing voice, earning a hum of approval from you. You finally stopped in front of your door.
“Thank you Goj-”
“Satoru.” He cut you off,  his voice suddenly softening. As you tilted your head inquisitively, he found himself breaking into another warm smile.  His cheeks ached from smiling too much this evening. “You can call me Satoru instead.”
“I like saying Gojo, especially when I yell your name when I’m mad at you.”
“Are you mad at me right now?” He wiggles his eyebrows, earning a playful roll of your eyes in response.
“No.”
His demeanor shifted then, almost like he’s surrendering his vulnerability to you. “Then call me Satoru.” You could almost hear the plea in his voice.
You sigh in mock defeat, your lips curved into a smile as you relented to his request. “Okay, Satoru.”
-.-
“You’re barely hanging out with me anymore, Satoru. Have you found my replacement already?” Suguru says, smirking as he watches his best friend’s eyes widened— a blush adorning Satoru's cheeks.
Satoru fidgeted with the hem of his shirt, causing Suguru to smirk at him. This behavior definitely did not go unnoticed by his best friend. Rarely did Satoru ever get nervous and Suguru was all for it.
“I was just busy, Suguru. You missed me that much? I didn’t know I am participating in a homosexual relationship with you—”  He retorted, attempting to deflect Suguru.
But Suguru wasn’t one to let him off the hook easily. “Busy hogging Y/N?”
Satoru scoffed, giving him a look of disbelief. “Pffft. Nah. Of course not. We’re friends!” He insisted, though the way his gaze momentarily flickered away betrayed a hint of something more.
It has been nearly 6 months since that evening on the rooftop. Satoru and you have been attached to the hip ever since— or to phrase it better, Satoru has been attached to you ever since. Somehow, you’re a lot more similar than he thinks and because of that, you just know each other a lot deeper.
He also finds himself doing things out of pure interest like walking with you to the 7/11 store after mission just to talk to you til dusk on that rooftop, completely forgetting about his friend group’s game nights. Other times, he reaches for your wrist to encourage you to mingle with other people. He even accompanies you to your monthly shopping sprees in the city or in Shinjuku or Shibuya. He found out you love traveling and going to other places— it clears your mind, you had said. His closet is now full of clothes you helped him pick out, almost half of them you bought for him randomly.
It’s normal for friends to do that, right?
Seated side by side, Satoru and Suguru observed how you and Shoko practiced your reverse cursed technique. Satoru’s just munching on the sweets you bought for him while his best friend is clearly enjoying the view of how dumbstruck he is by you.
“Satoru,” he began. “You’re always following her around, it’s like you’re glued to each other already and you even fell asleep together during movie nights more than 3 times already. The only time you’re not with her is when you’re on missions with me or lunch. Are you already secretly dating?”
“Yeah, we’re not!” Satoru says swiftly and defensively, causing Suguru to raise an eyebrow at him. “Why are you keeping count anyway?”
“Sure, just friends.” Suguru insisted, attempting to downplay the whole situation but Satoru is already growing agitated with the way he’s being teased.  Suguru gave him a devilish smirk.  “What if she dates another guy?”
Satoru shuts up for a minute before muttering a quiet  “… She won’t.”
“You don’t sound sure. She eventually will.” Suguru gave him an all-knowing smile and that’s when he knew that Suguru was being serious.
“Huh?”  Satoru furrowed his eyebrows, casting an accusing look at his best friend.  “How are you so sure?”
“Shoko said she’s going on dates.”
Oh.
So that’s why he’s been seeing you less, and you seem so distracted whenever you guys would hang out. Satoru thought that you were just busy but he didn’t think you’d actually go on dates with anyone. I mean, you’re still young right? Besides, who would be deserving of you?
Satoru didn’t notice that he was staring daggers into Shoko as you hugged her tightly. His expression darkened, jealousy flashing in his eyes before softening as he heard you laugh.
Pretty.
You look so pretty.
Since when did he find you incredibly pretty?
Sure, you were just friends but he doesn’t know why he has this urge to be with you all the time, he even wants to hug you like how you hug Shoko and Utahime. It’s just unfair that you only lean to him or give him a fist bump or when you fall asleep with your head on his shoulder.
He longs to hold you close, to see you every morning, and to be the person that makes you laugh all the time.
And when you noticed him staring you beamed at him and waved.
Oh, he definitely has a crush on his friend.
He didn’t know how much time passed but soon enough his day wouldn’t be completed without seeing you. He actually looks forward now to the meeting with different plans, particularly because you were there with him. And he basically lives now in your dorm room, candy wrappers everywhere and an array of his glasses sit beside your bedside table.
You talk about anything, even the random thoughts that come to his mind. You managed to know him better than Suguru knows him, which is surprising by the way.
But during the past week, he surprisingly didn’t see you— not even at the rooftop that you both had grown to hang out together. Suguru told him that he acts like he has a ‘stick up his ass’ but he was just worried about you. Have you grown tired of him? It all made him fidget like crazy.
Satoru caught a glimpse of your bright blue hair after your mission with Suguru. It was the kind of blue that matches his eyes. But he didn’t pay attention to it that much because of your sullen look.
He tried looking for you at the convenience store or your dorm but you were already gone so his last bet is at the rooftop, and there you are.
Your back is facing him with your feet dangling off the edge, you seem to be in your own world judging by the loud music he’s hearing. There are two packs of cigarettes by your side and a can of your favorite coffee. The sun is almost setting again and you’re just staring ahead while you hum along to the song you're listening to. The view seems so… sad. He felt something tug at his heart strings.
“You know you should quit smoking. if you keep it, you’ll never see me old handsome.”  He tried to joke off before climbing the edge to sit next to you. He took off his glasses before wincing at the view, it was too bright so he decided to put it on again.
You giggled in response,  he can tell that you saw right through him when you had a soft look in your face.  The both of you hadn’t quite reached the stage where you’re entirely comfortable with opening up to one another.
So he tried to lighten up the mood once more, “It actually diminishes your ability as a sorcerer.”
“Says who?”
“Says yoda” He responded rhetorically before giving you a lopsided grin.
You nodded before taking out your lighter to light up your cigarette.   “I only smoke when I’m stressed.” You confessed.
“Oh?” Satoru asks
“Yeah” You smiled at him, taking a drag from your cigarette, sighing when the nicotine hit your system.
“Then we’ll do something else, yeah?” He grinned at you mischievously before pointing his index. “Wait.”
With a quick rummage through his pockets, he brought out a handful of brightly colored lollipops, their wrappers crinkling softly in his hand.
“What do you have in mind?” You asked, raising your eyebrows at him.
Satoru extended his hand, offering you a lollipop with a playful wink. “Something sweeter?”
He gives you a toothy grin—his eyes sparkling when you take it, shaking your head at his enthusiasm.
“This is ridiculous,” You laughed, amused by his antics as you unwrapped the sweet treat and popped it into your mouth.
“It works, right?” Satoru asked eagerly.
He’s been searching for alternative ways for nicotine but he couldn’t find any gum in the 7/11 store. Lollipops are his last choice.
“I don’t know. Isn’t it gum that lessens the nic addiction?”  You countered, bumping your shoulder against his.
“Lollipops are an alternative,” He says defensively, though a hint of concern crept up to his face.  “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, uhm. It just gets tiring sometimes, you know?” You responded, bitterness lacing your voice. “ All the pressure. Sometimes I feel like I’m not treated humanely at one point.”
“Hey. I’ll help you okay?” He placed a hand on your shoulder before offering you a soft smile. “When you’re with me, you don’t have to please those old geezers.”
“I appreciate it, Satoru.” You smiled back at him and he found himself melting in your gaze. The sun be damned, he could live alone in your presence.
You decided to leave when it’s already half past eight. Once he helped you to his feet you looked at him shyly, and if it’s a bit lighter out he would see a blush creeping up to your face. The walk back to your dorm is silent again, your hands just occasionally brush and Satoru wondered if you think about holding his hand too.
So when you let him in your dorm like you usually do. Satoru hesitated for a moment before he mustered up the courage and asked, “Is it okay if I hug you?”
He noticed you freeze and he feared that he might have overstepped, but before he could retract his words, you’re already nodding and he instinctively wrapped his arms around you. Satoru hears you sigh in the hug and he feels like he’s floating when you tug him closer.
Satoru prayed silently that you couldn’t hear the loud thumping of his heart because he finally has you in his arms and this is all he wanted. The warmth of your body against his, the way you leaned into his touch, it all felt surreal to him.
You’ve finally let your guard down around him and he noticed you gradually open up to him when you’re feeling sad or disappointed with something. Somehow he can’t bring himself to be like that to you yet, Satoru has this underlying feeling that you’d like him less if he starts showing vulnerability.
But to his surprise, he feels like you like him more because of that. There was this instance where he’s so overstimulated after a mission because he had to take off his glasses to work on his six eyes. He started to become dizzy and everything around him was a blur.
As he sat on the couch, feeling utterly overwhelmed and disoriented after the mission. Despite his attempts to mask his discomfort with a feeble smile, you saw right through him, as you always seemed to do.
“Satoru, are you okay?” Your voice cut through the haze of his senses, casting him a worried glance.
He managed a strained smile before the brightness around him intensified, sending a sharp pang through his temples. "I'm...I'm fine," he mumbled.
“Satoru, you’re not a good liar.” You stood up to turn off the lights, only leaving the night lamp on, a soft glow illuminating the entire room, making it bearable for Satoru. He’s rubbing his temples, trying to ease the pain.
He feels a weight dip in the couch, you gently remove his glasses and place them on the nearby table. Then, without warning, your arms enveloped him in a warm embrace, guiding his head to rest against the crook of your neck, fully covering his eyes.
Now that he’s calmed down, Satoru became acutely aware of the closeness between you. He’s lucky that you can’t see how his eyes widened at your action and how flushed he probably looks right now. Well, not that he can see anything right now.
But he chooses to ignore the loud beating of his heart again, passing it off as adrenaline rush from the mission. He allows himself to relax in your hold, with your fingers threading softly through his hair, all his worries and fatigue melted away.
Gojo Satoru had never known romantic love, let alone had a crush on anyone. So maybe it was just normal for friends to hold each other when one is tired or in need of comfort.
He loves to play with your hand when both of you are alone, while he babbles about something random and outright weird just so he could ignore how you make him feel. He tries to ignore the blush creeping up on his face when you listen to him intently, like every word that he utters matters, no matter how ridiculous it was. His feet always drag him to you because after a long day, all he needs is cuddles from you— oh, and your soothing voice too.
So really, what is this weight on his chest when Shoko announced that you’re going on a date?
Why is he pouting suddenly, assaulting his food as he stabs it continuously while you are gushing about what to wear or what to say when he knows you just look so beautiful even without trying?
Isn’t he enough?
Satoru buys you stuff, he takes care of you, he knows everything about you. He’s always hanging at your dorm after school, you’re practically like a couple at this poi–
Shit.
Maybe he does have a crush on you.
“I don’t know why you’d bother going on a date, Y/N. Guys are basically disgusting.”
“Says a guy.” You rolled your eyes playfully while going through your closet.
Satoru’s getting desperate now, why are you so adamant to get on that date?
Satoru felt a knot of desperation tightening in his chest as he watched you model your top three dresses.  The first dress, adorned with vibrant florals, seemed to scream "first date" with its playful charm. However, you quickly dismissed it as unsuitable for the dinner date you had planned. Next, you slipped into a simple yet elegant black bodycon dress that hugged your curves in all the right places. It was hard to ignore the bitterness he’s feeling— you getting dolled up for a random guy.
But it was the final dress that truly captured his heart. As you twirled around to show him, the white silk fabric cascading gracefully around you, Satoru found himself momentarily breathless at the sight. Your awkward smile only added to the enchantment of the moment. You look so ethereal.
"What do you think?" you asked, swaying gently as you admired yourself in the mirror.
"I—" Satoru cleared his throat, his voice suddenly dry as he struggled to find the right words. "I think I like the other one better, the black one," he managed to say, though his heart whispered otherwise.
You somehow listened to his advice and wore the black bodycon dress that he suggested.
You looked nothing short of breathtaking, a literal goddess.
It was the longest 3 hours of his life, each passing minute feeling like an eternity as he anxiously wait for your return. Despite his best effort to distract himself by distracting Suguru, his thoughts kept returninhg to you— wondering if you’re having the time of your life with your date.
A small part of him wishes that the date didn’t go well and you’ll just spent the rest of the evening eating sweets with him all the while casting funny remarks on your date but he wasn’t prepared when you came home with mascara running down your face, your lips curved into a pout, and your eyes puffy and red from crying.
Without a word, Satoru stood up to engulf you in his arms, furrowing his eyebrows as you collapsed into him.  “What happened, Y/N?”
He held you close, a surge of protectiveness flooding his senses as if an attempt to shield you from the world.
“He’s a misogynist, Satoru!” You cried, your voice cracking. “So full of himself! I thought he was kind and sweet but then he just started babbling about his clan and how good of a potential husband he is. As if I want to marry him!”
“Who was he anyway?”  He gently wiped away your tears.
“Naoya Zenin” You sniffled, playing with the hem of his shirt. “I’m sorry I’m staining your shirt.”
“No, no.” He whispered, brushing away the strands of your hair on your face.
He took a mental note to research on the guy that made you cry later on. He realizes that the sight that he despises the most is the sight of you crying. He never wants to see you like this, ever.
“You said you like the beach right?” Satoru spoke out of the blue, his hand tracing circles on your arm. “Why don’t we go to one?”
-.-
And that’s how Satoru managed to spend all of his monthly allowance in a week. He booked a flight for the 6 of you (of course he wouldn’t want you to get the wrong idea, he insisted it’s a vacation for the six of you— him, you, Suguru, Shoko, and even Utahime and Mei Mei because apparently you’re good friends with them too)
So now here he is, about 200, 000 yen poorer. (help i don’t know if this is accurate) He wanted what’s best for you, so of course he’d spend a lot for you.  It was all worth it though, when he sees you in a baby blue bathing suit that he helped you pick out. No it was definitely not because it’s similar to the color of his eyes. Blue just suits you well. (Hence, he’s also suitable for you)
“Satoru, you're going to catch flies if your mouth keeps hanging like that. Hey, are you also drooling?” Suguru pokes Satoru, who quickly straightens up when you look his way.
You gave him a sheepish smile, and he didn’t know what the fuck you’re doing to him because he feels a hard on coming his way.  Shoko notices Satoru’s flushed expression but she just continues to smoke, clearly enjoying the show.
Eventually, everyone agrees to swim in the beach and try on the jet skis that Satoru had rented. What he didn’t know though, was the fact that you’re afraid of the ocean.
You were just hugging yourself while the waves crashed against your feet. The sight looks so cute but he wants you to enjoy it, so he uses his tactics to get you to join the group.
Unfortunately for him, you’re so stubborn to stay on the shore.
“I don’t want to go, Satoru! It’s not funny! I might get eaten alive by megalodon sharks or something.”
“C’mon! I’m really tall, I can protect you! Jesus, here—”  His hand intertwined with yours, causing you to blush profusely. “Just hold my hand, okay?  Hell, hold onto me if you like. I can carry you!”
“Your hands are uhm, really warm.” You commented, your voice tinged with embrassment.
“Oh yeah?” He smirks at you, his gaze locking with yours. “You want me to warm you up?”
“I’m gonna kill you.”  You deadpanned.
Despite your protests, you ended up trusting him to pull you in the deeper part of the ocean. He even managed to get you to ride the jetski with him, the grip you had on his waist nearly suffocating him.
Satoru didn’t want to focus on the closeness between you two— your body pressed up against his back. If he does, he might lose control and drop the both of you into the ocean.
Meanwhile, the rest of the group is observing the two of you while sipping on their Margaritas.
“God, these two.” Mei Mei muttered as she rolls her eyes. “Best slow burn romance I’ve ever seen for free.”
If anyone would glance at you and Satoru, they would immediately think you’re dating, but you’re not and it’s frustrating to anyone within your radius.
Besides her, Shoko chimed in, her voice laced with amusement.   “It’s so painfully obvious that they like each other. They were comparing hand sizes earlier for god’s sake.”
“Yeah, they should just fuck already.”
-.-
“Okay, so you kiss the person the bottle’s pointing at.” Utahime explained excitedly, albeit a bit drunk.
Everyone’s gathering around the crackling bonfire bonfire, the warm glow casting dancing shadows across the sand.  It was now nearing midnight and you decided to play a game to end the night, which is spin the bottle. You spent all afternoon swimming and riding the jet skis Satoru rented.
Satoru felt a bead of sweat form on his brow as the bottle nearly lands you and Suguru.
He wanted your first kiss to be with him, as selfish as that sounds. He internally cursed Shoko for suggesting this game.
It landed on Shoko and Utahime, then Shoko and Suguru, then Mei Mei and Utahime.
His nervousness escalated as the game continues. Satoru was busy praying that the bottle wouldn’t land on you and anyone that he failed to notice when the bottle finally came to a stop, pointing directly at you and him.
“Ooooh” Utahime teased you, playfully poking your arm. “It’s you and Gojo!”
You laughed nervously, shooting a helpless glance in Satoru’s direction. He wanted to protest but his curiosity outweighed his embarrassment.
He wanted to know how it feels like to kiss you.
Besides, it’s just a kiss, right?
Satoru was stunned when you hurriedly pecked him on the lips before you retreated back to your seat. His mind raced as he tries to process the fleeting touch.
He just kissed you.
He couldn’t believe it when you looked back at him with a subtle smile playing in your lips.
The rest of the night was a blur for him, not because he was drunk. Satoru’s a lightweight and you know that fact, that’s why you were drinking for him.
While everyone else is playing games and talking about anything, his mind is still stuck on the fact that you kissed him
You’re his first kiss.
And he's yours too,
The gods had answered his prayers.  But that was barely a kiss in the first place, do you even want it or were you just pressured to do it?
The thought stings. So he took a couple of sips from Suguru’s beer bottle until he was tipsy enough to not think about your lips on his. Yet, with each glance in your direction, the memory of your lips on his persisted.
-.-
Satoru helped you go to your room, even if he’s a bit drunk himself.  Both of you were stumbling on the way to your room, but he thankfully he managed to settle you down on the bed as gently as he could. His attempt to withdraw was no use as you pulled him down with you, your grip firm yet gentle as you clutched his hand in your sleep.
Satoru admired your sleeping state, your hair sprawled out messily on the bed and you’re gripping his hand.
Your mouth slightly open as you slept, emitting soft rhythmic breaths but then you started mumbling something—it first it was incoherent until you mumbled in a slur,  “I think you’re cute.”
“Huh?” Satoru questioned, even though he heard you clearly. He just want to hear it again from you.
“I said I think you look like a sack of shit. Fuck you.”  You clarified, your words still slightly intelligible and laced with frustration and humor.
“Uh-huh.” He replied, feigning ignorance, his heart fluttering at your words. A soft smile tugged at the corners of his lips. Satoru brushed a few stray strands of hair away from your face, his fingers lingering momentarily against your skin.
“You know,” You started, your words slurring as you looked at him with half-lidded eyes. “You’re my first kiss. It was really good even if it just lasted a second. Thank you for today, toru.”
He laughed at your intoxicated state. You just look so adorable when you’re relaxed like this, the way your features softened and your laughter bubble up freely without a care in the world.
His gaze drifted to your lips, they seemed to beckon him to give in.  He definitely wants to kiss you now.
Satoru’s heart raced as he struggled to fight the urge to lean in, knowing that it was a dangerous game to play. You decided to take matters in your own hands, shifting closer to him, your face close enough that he could feel you breathe against him.
“Please, ‘Toru.” You whispered, your lips barely touching. “Please kiss me again.”
Who was he to deny you that? To deny you?
When Satoru kissed you for the second time, he took his time to savor it. His hand reaches out to cup your cheek and brushes his lips against yours.
Your lips are warm and soft, he wanted to kiss it for eternity. Literally. He feels like in cloud nine as he kisses you deeper, slipping his tongue inside as you parted your lips, earning a soft moan from you.
Satoru weight settled against you, your bodies pressed together, breathing heavily as he connected his lips against yours once more.
You taste better than any candy he has ever tasted. He might just get addicted, drunk even.
“We shouldn’t—” He sighs into your mouth. You whimpered when he pulled away, your sweet voice going straight through his dick. “I don’t want to do this like this.”
“What” a kiss. “Do” followed by another, “You,” then another “Mean?” then another.
You were peppering kisses all over his face all the while carding your hand through his hair, tugging it a bit to earn a reaction from him. He almost lost it when you squeezed him through his boxers.
Satoru managed to pull away which he clearly struggled on doing when you pout at him, lips swollen and covered with saliva and you’re looking at him with those damned doe eyes.
He pecks your lips, both of your cheeks, and he places a final kiss on your forehead, afraid that if he does more, he won’t be able to contain himself.
Satoru wants his first time with you to be special, one that’s not hazy and easy to forget. He doesn’t want it to be a mistake, like what he knows the both of you would agree upon if you talked about it in the morning.
He wanted you to remember, have it engraved in your mind and body for weeks. Satoru wants you to want him as much as he wants you, and he can’t have that in a drunken mistake.
As you both drifted together in your sleep, he held you close, his arms wrapping snugly around your waist. It was the best sleep he had in ages.
-.-
Satoru’s fear came true when you pretended like nothing happened the next morning. When he awoke, it feels like last night never happened. Your side of the bed is fixed and the only proof that you were ver there was the ache he felt on his arm, where you were laying.  Sure, he was disappointed but he’s contented with anything you give him. As long as he has you by his side.
The kiss never left his mind, though.
Not even when you reached third year and you drifted apart from him little by little. His feelings for you remains the same.
When Satoru is paired up again with you for a mission in the second half of your third year, you seem different from the Y/N he remembers. Particularly because you act like the exact person that he met in your first year.
Only, you look dull.
There are heavy circles under your eyes, your lips are chapped, and you look like you’re barely holding it together. Not to mention the only words that you utter to him are only about the mission.
He got too busy honing his skills with Suguru, but he would make time for you if only you asked. But it’s like you were gone, everytime he tried to look for you, you were nowhere to be found. It’s like he barely knows you anymore.
You started to ignore him at the beginning of the school year. He noticed that you dyed your hair back to its natural color and whenever he goes.
You became a ghost in a way, and he’s left with the pieces of you that you once had shared with him. Satoru desperately wants to reach you but how can he when you’re always away? He doesn’t see you in your meeting spot anymore, you’re not in your dorm, no one gets close to you. The only time he sees you is during meetings with the higher ups and your clan.
There’s an ache in his heart that only you can heal.
So before you can run away from him again, he followed your footsteps until you reached the 7/11 store across the street. So here you are scanning along the shelves of the store, even though he knows you already know what you’re going to buy.  You still haven’t noticed him, which is confusing on his part. You must’ve been so tired.
Ah, an energy drink and a box of cigarettes.
Well, maybe you’ve started avoiding him too because of that. You know he’s going to get worried.
Satoru taps your shoulder, making you yelp. You were about to shout at him but your expression softened when you saw him. “Oh, it’s just you.”
It’s the first time in months where he actually saw you up close. He misses you so much it actually makes him dizzy.  Satoru stares at you for a few minutes before you poked him.
“Hello? Earth to Satoru?”
He hasn’t heard you say his name too in a while. It felt like a breath of fresh air
“You dyed your hair back to its natural color.” He pointed out.
You hummed in response before going to the drink section once more. He observes you skimming the shelves even though he knows what you’re going to buy.
You’re just passing the time because you’re too anxious to talk to him but you aren’t really good at small talks.
So he does that for you.
As you mechanically scanned the shelves, your eyes not really registering the array of products before you, Satoru noticed the evident anxiety in your every move. Wanting to bridge the gap between you two, he seized the opportunity to make you smile.
“ah yes, there’s some items on sale here.” He declared, rubbing his chin with his pointer and thumb comically.
Your quizzical expression met his as you questioned, “I don’t see any.”
Undeterred, Satoru held up a familiar item – your favorite coffee – and flashed a grin "Here," he insisted, pointing at the non-existent 'sale' label.
You raised an eyebrow at him. "It's on sale. Look. It says, 'buy one take me.'" He gestured to the imaginary tag with a theatrical flair, his infectious grin inviting you to roll your eyes at him.
Finally, you gave him a smile and you threw your head back because you’re laughing so hard. “You’re ridiculous, Gojo Satoru.”
Satoru's heart skipped a beat at the sight of your smile, a warmth spreading through him at the sight of your genuine laughter. He likes seeing you smile. He’d do anything to see you smile. Even if it’s making a fool out of himself.
You grabbed his favorite drink and 2 onigiris then you dropped your energy drink. You walked towards the counter with him following closely behind.
After you’ve paid for the food, you led him wordlessly to the back of the convenience store towards the small parking lot and you sat on the ground.
“Besides, I can’t take you.”  You broke the silence, handing him his coca-cola with a tremulous smile.
“What do you mean? You’ve already taken me for granted.”  Satoru attempts to joke, but his playful expression dropped when you gave him a sad smile.
“I’m getting married next year after graduation.”
Satoru suddenly felt as if the ground had dropped from beneath him. The news struck him like a blow to the chest, leaving him breathless. He chewed on his lip as he took in your confession.
So that’s why you’ve been busy.
That’s why the higher ups paid no mind to all of his minor mishaps. His heart and mind raced, why so soon? Are you really going to let them take away your right to decide who you’ll marry?
“To who?”  He said quietly, fidgeting with the lid of his soda.
“Naoya Zenin.”
A wave of disbelief washed over Satoru’s face. He had only met the guy once but he knows that Zenin is an absolute prick, not to mention a misogynist and a weakling. He even made you cry on a date. But he tried to relax his jaw and stay composed for you. “Do you want to marry him?”
“No.” Your answer was swift, the word laden with a weight he could feel in his bones.
“Then don’t.” Satoru says firmly. Both of you fell silent for a while, you being defeated with the destiny your clan have paved for you.
Could he really let you go just like that? To a Zenin asshat nonetheless?
He had always imagined that the two of you would eventually end up together, you have all the time in the world after all. So why does it feel like you’re already slipping out of his arms?  He’s not even sure if you like him, despite what Suguru and Ieri keep telling him.
His train of thoughts were interrupted when you leaned your head on his shoulder. His arm instinctively finds its way around you, as if shielding you from your clan, from the world.  “I wish it were that simple. Nearly everything I do for my family is never what I want. I simply can’t not do it, Satoru. I need it to keep my clan powerful and relevant. I’m the only daughter of my parents. I have to do my best to make them proud.”
“Well…” He stammers a little bit when your hand finds a way to play with his hair.  “what about what you want?”
“Satoru, you know my freedom is limited." You laughed bitterly. “I’m still Y/L/N’s golden child and my clan’s on the brink of exclusion at this point. We’re irrelevant now and I’m not getting any stronger or richer. My family wants to take their place in the Jujutsu World. This is something I can’t escape from anymore even if I’d rather die than to be married to someone like him.”
“Why Naoya Zenin though?” He’s getting frustrated at this point. Why were you not fighting back? Satoru couldn’t accept that, you relinquishing your freedom for the sake of others. You have already done so much.
“He’s from a well-off clan and he’s strong.” you replied, a note of bitterness tainting your words. “My dad’s also biased with the Zenin clan so… I’m all set.”
Well, he’s a Gojo and he is the strongest.  He is the inheritor of the six eyes anyway. Who is Naoya Zenin compared to him?
“Well then, can you marry someone else that’s also strong?”
You scoffed, your hand leaving his hair before you prompt to fully lean your entire weight on Satoru’s side. “Yeah, but I don’t have much of a choice in the matter. Who else would I mar-”
It’s now or never.
“Me.”  Satoru blurted out.
“What?”
“Me. you should just marry me instead.”

Tumblr media
“Fuck me!”
Suguru’s ears perk at the sound of your frustrated voice, head tilting curiously as he glances up from his phone. He stands from his position on the couch, slowly entering your shared bedroom and watching as you pull down the back of your dress.
Judging by your irritated tone and stiffened body language, it wasn’t the first or the second time that you had tugged your dress down.
“Everything okay in here baby?” Suguru inquires from the door, forcing his eyes to meet your own as opposed to wandering down. The last thing that he wanted was to be on the receiving end of your wrath — the last time that had happened, he had been placed on a week long sex ban.
To say he barely survived that would be the understatement of the century.
“Just this stupid dress,” you bite out angrily, slapping your hands against your thighs in defeat. You had accidentally ordered the dress a size too small, but it hadn’t looked that short when you laid it out over your bed.
But now that you were wearing it, it continued to ride up with every single one of your movements, nearly exposing your entire backside.
The fact that you hadn’t ripped the dress to shreds with your bare hands was a miracle in it of itself.
Suguru finally allows his eyes to rake up and down your figure, admiring the way that the dress hugs your curves while still remaining elegant. The straps are loose over your shoulders, intentionally of course and the dress’ corset only makes you look that much better.
But you don’t see it that way, instead, you see the dress as an inconvenience that is only making you more and more late for your girls’ night with Shoko and Utahime.
In the reflection of the mirror, you can see Suguru watching you hungrily, a look that goes directly to your core. You can feel your face warming underneath his gaze, and you know that silently, he’s trying to make you even more late than you already were.
“Don’t look at me like that,” you whine, turning to look at Suguru. He crosses his arms, still leaning against the doorframe and smirking at you. He doesn’t fail to notice the way your thighs rub against one another, no doubt trying to provide yourself with the tiniest bit of friction.
“Oh? And why’s that?” he teases you, raising an eyebrow. You fight back the urge to roll your eyes, knowing the action would only dig you into a deeper hole.
“You’re going to make me late,” you point out, turning back to the full-body mirror. You grab the bottoms of your dress again, tugging downward sharply and hoping that it would stay. But of course, the moment that you straighten your back, the dress rides up.
This time however, Suguru doesn’t bite his tongue.
“I’m not going to make you late, but that dress sure will,” Suguru steps forward, closing the distance between the two of you. His arms wrap loosely around your waist, tugging your back against his chest whilst his chin hooks over your shoulder.
You let out a sigh, body relaxing against Suguru’s while one of his hands begins to slowly drift lower, sending a delicious shiver down your spine. “Suguru-“
“Hmm?” he hums, raising an eyebrow at you. Your teeth sink into your bottom lip, biting back the desperate whimper that claws at the base of your throat. He smiles at the look on your face, keeping his fingers right against the inside of your thigh.
“I’m definitely going to be late now,” you sigh, leaning your head back so that it hits against Suguru’s shoulder. He grins in victory, then hooking his arms beneath you and swiftly lifting you from the ground.
“That you are,” he agrees, all the while you giggle at your boyfriend’s antics.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Babe, Shoko texted you again. Do you want me to answer for you—?” Satoru cuts himself off as he enters your bedroom, standing slack-jawed in the doorframe as you continue to get ready, having not heard your boyfriend enter.
You smooth your hands over your dress, turning your body in a circle to admire yourself in your room’s full-body mirror. An approving smile curls the corner of your lips upward. You had put so much time and effort into your hair, makeup, and outfit — to have it pay off was one of the most rewarding feelings.
“Satoru? Everything okay?” you ask suddenly, having finally noticed your snowy-haired boyfriend standing in the doorframe of your bedroom. His jaw is still practically on the floor, arms hanging limply at his sides as he simply stares at you — it’s almost unsettling, really.
He swallows the lump in his throat, suddenly aware of how tight his pants feel. And as badly as he wants to pounce on you, he knew that you would protest under the reason that Shoko would have your head if you were late to another girl’s night.
“Yeah! Yeah, everything’s good,” he nods quickly, clearing his throat and doing his best to play off the way that he had been ogling at you.
Curiously, you raise an eyebrow at him, but you say nothing in response. You turn back to the mirror, lifting your hands to your hair and smoothing it out, making sure that no strand was out of place.
Satoru swallows again, glancing down at your phone in his hand before tossing it on the bed, then following it and laying on his stomach on the bed. Though laying on his stomach was uncomfortable, he wouldn’t dare admit that simply looking at you had gotten him hard.
“Are you sure that everything is okay Satoru?” you inquire from your place in the front of the mirror, not failing to notice how he couldn’t keep his eyes off of you — not that that was an uncommon occurrence anyway.
Shaking his head and forcing his gaze up to meet your own, Satoru nods quickly — almost too quickly to even be considered human.
You hum, already feeling a smirk curl the corner of your lips upward as you turn to face him, being sure to sway your hips as you walk over to your bed.
You reach your hands down, cupping the sides of Satoru’s face and guiding his gaze to meet yours, an action that he follows without an ounce of hesitation.
“You really are a terrible liar,” you murmur, taking note of your boyfriend’s half-lidded eyes and the small purse of his lips. You lean down, slotting your lips against his own and smiling against him at the moan that he releases into your mouth.
He leans further into you, pushing himself up onto his knees and wrapping his arms around your waist, tugging you against him.
You pull back from him to catch your breath, not failing to notice the small whine that your action pulls from the back of Satoru’s throat.
“I can’t be late again,” you point out, finding yourself smiling as Satoru’s lust-blown eyes flicker about your expression, deflating when he realizes that you’re being serious.
“Please? It won’t be that late,” Satoru whispers, tucking his face into the crook of your neck and placing sloppy kisses against the skin there. He smirks against you at the shiver that runs up your spine.
You sigh, disconnecting Satoru from your neck and placing your hands against his cheeks again. He tilts his head at you, feigning innocence as you playfully glare down your nose at him.
“Fine,” you relent, craning your neck and pressing your lips to Satoru, allowing him to tug you onto your bed.
You ended up being two hours late to girl’s night — much to the displeasure of Shoko.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Choso, honey, could you come in here for a second?” you call sweetly from your bedroom, smoothing your hands over the front of your dress. You find yourself smiling at the sound of hurried footsteps growing louder, and in a matter of seconds, Choso is standing in the doorframe of your bedroom.
He pauses at the sight in front of him. You’re standing in front of the mirror propped up against one of the bedroom walls, hair done up with a face of makeup on. You’re wearing a dress that Choso hadn’t seen before; a skintight black dress that rides up just a touch too high for his liking — but he would never tell you not to wear it.
You turn to Choso, smiling and placing your hands on your hips — completely oblivious to the effect that you were currently having on him.
“What do you think?” you ask him, leaning your weight to the side. Your dress follows your movement, the right side riding up to expose the skin of your thigh. Choso’s eyes flicker to the newly exposed skin, but they just as quickly return to your eyes, not wanting you to think he was ogling you.
He swallows past the lump in his throat, while also doing his best to ignore the growing strain in his pants. He would just have to restrain himself, you had to leave in twenty minutes after all. The last thing that he wanted was to be the cause of your lateness — though he didn’t know how long he would be able to hold out once you were gone.
“You look gorgeous,” Choso responds quickly, realizing that he had accidentally found himself caught in his own thoughts. You smile at his praise, crossing the room and lifting your arms to wrap them over his neck, nails lightly tracing the nape of his neck.
He shivers against your fingers, biting back a moan that climbs up his throat. You smile mischievously, flashing him one of those looks — the one where he knows that you wouldn’t exactly mind being late for girl’s night.
Choso quickly leans down, roughly pressing his lips to yours as he tugs your chest flush against his own, hands gripping at your waist while your hands tangle in his hair, tugging lightly on the strands. You receive a cracked moan into your mouth following your action — one that has you smirking against Choso’s lips.
He steps towards your bed, lightly dragging you with him until the backs of your legs hit against the bed’s edge. Only then does he help you, hooking his hands underneath the plump of your ass and lifting you up, never once breaking the kiss.
You pull back to inhale greedily, biting your lips together as Choso’s hands wander over the fabric of your dress, fingertips just barely grazing your skin in a way that has you shivering.
“Mine,” he growls against you, bending his head down to press featherlight kisses against your neck, sucking at your pulse point and feeling himself smirk at your back arching in response. Your body pushes itself further into Choso’s arms — a feeling that he would never get used to but wholeheartedly appreciated.
He pulls his lips back from your neck — that earns him a disappointed moan. Choso’s eyes flicker to meet yours, pants straining at the half-lidded look that you give him, pupils lust-blown and chest rising and falling in panted breaths.
With you sitting on the bed and Choso standing in front of you, it grants him easy access to what he wants most. He leans forward to peck your lips again, once again feeling his pants strain at the way your mouth chases his when he pulls back from you.
He lowers himself to his knees in front of you, sending you one last glance before his fingers push up your dress. You let out a small sigh, glancing down at Choso.
At this point, you didn’t even mind the fact that you were forty-five minutes late.

JJK characters and their beauty:
Tumblr media
Getou Suguru (classical)
-> there’s a sort of classical beauty to geto suguru. he’s just so pretty. his face looks like it was carved by the angels themselves. he’s elegant in the way he looks, moves, and dresses. he’s a reader and he enjoys tea-making. he’s secretly a fan of ballroom dancing, and he’s often seen waltzing with people who are on the other end of gojo’s despondent rejections. he’s seen picking up and patching the broken hearts left, one turn at a time. he’s an oil painting come to life but there is something seething, something deceptively inhuman about him. he looks and acts like a mr. darcy figure. he’s polite and he’s handsome but there is something simmering underneath. it takes you a while, but you realize as you’re running through the woods that he’s always been heathcliff on a leash.
Gojo Satoru (otherworldly)
-> if getou’s face was carved by the angels, gojo satoru’s face was carved by God himself. he’s beautiful in the most unconventional sense. he’s strangely alluring, and he sticks out in any setting you put him in. his presence, it’s meant to disrupt the ordinary. he’s otherworldly, so it almost seems fated. he’s meant to have people gawking at him. but they never approach him — never that. he has contemporary tastes, despite it all. he loves listening to the latest albums, watching the latest movies, having the latest abstract artworks hanging above his headboard. he’s so human in his interests but he never will be one of them and there is a certain sadness in that. you can see it laid bare in his deceptively bright, blue eyes. he loves the rain despite being untouched by it.
Nanami Kento (timeless)
-> nanami kento’s face was carved and weathered by time itself. it bears the unmistakable marks of an austere craftsmanship. he’s been through the rain and the storms and yet he stands tall and firm as a statue. poised and handsome. there is a story in every contour, every crinkle that is etched onto his face but he’ll never tell you, he’ll never tell anyone. he’ll never live to tell anyone. his beauty is his mystery. and his mystery dies with him. he was the most human of them all. he liked cream bread and amy whinehouse and he wanted a house by the seaside as most men living in the city do but there is something so supernaturally haunting in his beauty. when you touch his face, it cuts you deep, leaving a trail of blood swarming onto the floor beneath you.
Shoko Ieiri (earthly)
-> shoko ieiri’s beauty is strangely human. she has dark circles and a slightly hunched back. she drinks her coffee black and her hands are calloused. because a god does get her hands dirty sometimes. but it’s the only part of her that is calloused, the rest of her body remains porcelain clean, pristine like the skin of an untouchable god. she’s to be protected or bodies will drop down like flies. a simple scratch is all it takes to make this god bleed. gojo may teleport and getou may ride a dragon but she has immortality. she can heal the wounds in her hand but she doesn’t. she lets them sting and scar. it’s the only part that makes her feel human. she smokes, a defiance against this immortality but even a god can’t kill a god when the cost is killing the universe.

shoko x f!reader (main pairing); gojo satoru x f!reader x geto suguru 1.2k words; no warnings just general high school clownery!!! part of the summertime record series
-
There's an unsettling feeling that creeps over you as you approach the door to your classroom. It's so potent that you pause for a second, hand lingering in the air before you slide the door open.
You take in the scene before you.
It’s an unusual sight, but you’ve come to realize that unusual has become the norm when it comes to your new classmates. Geto Suguru and Gojo Satoru, two powerful jujutsu sorcerers who had taken to each other immediately, for better and for worse.
Geto is gripping Gojo’s wrist, pinning the white haired boy’s outstretched right arm to the desk, the weight of his body hunched over and leveled against Gojo's own to ensure he stays put. Gojo is struggling to use his remaining hand to pull his other one away, but it’s futile against Geto’s ironclad grip.
There is a knife in Shoko’s hand. A regular knife for food preparation that must have been swiped from the kitchen.
The knife is poised right above Gojo’s wrist.
"Let’s just—” Gojo’s voice pitches high, “wait wait wait wait—"
You stare.
Three gazes turn to you. Gojo’s sunglasses are askew on his face, face feverish with a rising panic.
"Ah, perfect timing." Shoko smiles pleasantly. You stare some more. Then in a perfectly amicable tone she gestures to the katana slung over your shoulder. “We're testing Gojo’s limitless. Can I borrow your katana?"
You wordlessly slide the sheath off your shoulder and hand it to her.
"Sell out!" Gojo condemns, squirming and floundering underneath Geto’s body. You observe that he looks like a miserable fish gasping for air on dry land.
Shoko turns to you, straight faced. "This is for science."
Despite the arduous task of restraining the aforementioned male, Geto only looks slightly winded as his lips curl into another perfectly pleasant smile matching Shoko’s own. “Please,” he says congenially, in a tone that would suggest anything but the cold blooded torture about the ensue. He nods at an empty seat in front of a spare desk. “Enjoy the show.”
“This is my hand we’re talking about—!”
A particularly bony elbow slams into Geto’s chest as you take a seat. Geto remains unfazed. You sit with a wide yawn in an attempt to chase away the last stubborn dredges of sleep.
"I can reattach it." Ieiri says. You can sense the flow of reverse cursed energy in her fingertips as she flexes them. She shrugs. "I think."
Gojo balks, whiter than a ghost. "O-kay. I'm sorry. Hear that Suguru? I said I'm sorry! I won't do it again!”
Even to your ears, it doesn’t sound particularly sincere.
Geto must come to the same conclusion, because he pretends not to hear.
The apologies take a sharp turn. “It’s not my fault you tripped like an idiot into that curse’s mouth—”
“Let’s get started, shall we?” Geto interrupts.
He turns to Shoko who holds your unsheathed katana with steady hands. Light dances over the blade, sharp enough that a stray finger on the flat edge could easily draw blood. It’s a beautiful blade, on loan to you from the Kamo family. Your favorite one out of the many that have passed your hands. Most katana users you’ve come to find, are particularly possessive over their blades, like they would a lover, but you think this one looks right at home in Shoko’s elegant hands.
Gojo eyes the prized blade as if it’s the evilest thing to have graced his presence. You know this because it’s an even worse, beadier look than the one he used to give you. Now he only looks at you as if he doesn’t quite know what to say to you now that the two of you have settled into a tentative kind of relationship-not-friendship. You don't miss his antagonism. It's a welcome change.
Shoko levels the sharp blade of your katana against Gojo’s long index finger, above the knuckle. In response, as a last resort, the fingers curl against the desk, ensuring a messy cut.
"Hm,” a slow smile spreads over her face. “A finger? Or the wrist?"
Geto's smile is merciless. It comes easier to him than you would have originally expected. "All of it.”
There’s a yelp. Something utterly incomprehensible leaves Gojo’s mouth. You think it could be his spirit ejecting itself from his body, floating into the air.
There’s a glint in Shoko’s eyes. "Roger that."
A rush of cursed energy fills the katana, imbuing it with malicious intentions.
There is no clear indication of the infinity shrouding Gojo’s body other than the presence of his cursed energy, but you know it has to be in effect because as Shoko furiously saws at the appendage, the blade never sinks into flesh. Sweat forms on Gojo’s brow as he stares intently at the portion of invisible space right above his wrist.
With bated breaths, the three of you stare.
The sawing stops. “Huh, it really doesn’t go through.” Shoko remarks flippantly, stepping away with a shrug. “A shame.”
Geto sighs, loosening his grip.
Gojo springs away with a shaky bark of laughter, too far away from Geto and Shoko and you to be anything but the intention to maintain a distance.
“Of course it wouldn’t have gone through,” he snaps. The relief is evident on his face as he straightens his wrinkled uniform. He waves an accusatory finger at the three of you. “Now you’ve all had your fun!”
Geto and Shoko look too disappointed, without any hint of remorse on their faces.
“Pfft.”
It slips from your mouth before you can help it. Your lips wobble despite your attempt to stifle the laughter growing in your stomach by firmly pressing your lips shut.
Your loud laughter envelopes the room as Satoru, Suguru, and Shoko stare at you, slack mouthed.
“I’m…” the remnants of laughter wrack your body, “sorry…”
You hadn’t meant to laugh. You think it’s been a long time since you last laughed.
Gojo’s usual black sunglasses have slid down the bridge of his nose, revealing the wide blue expanse of his eyes. “You laugh?”
“I do,” you answer seriously.
Then you smile widely. The motion is still unfamiliar to your lips but you find it’s a bit easier now. There are things to smile about now. The friendly shrine cats, the warmth of the sun on your skin when you settle down to take a nap, Shoko’s laughter. There’s a raised empty bed of soil in front of the dorms. No flowers or plants. Yaga-sensei had told you that the contractors had been recalled before anything could begin. Then he handed you a book on horticulture.
You don’t know much about plants or flowers or gardening, but you’d like to start.
“You’re dumb,” Shoko directs towards him as she takes the seat next to you. “And you,” Shoko says to Geto. “You’ll catch flies.”
Geto’s mouth snaps shut. You find that he doesn’t meet your eyes, but Shoko easily leans her head against your shoulder and you don’t think much of anything but the weight of her and how good she smells.
In the next second, Yaga-sensei steps into the class, and levels the four of you with a suspicious look.
“Class is starting,” he says, raising an eyebrow when he sees Shoko pressed close to you. Before he turns to the blackboard, you catch a glimpse of a smile. “The four of you in your seats.”
For the first time in a long time, you stay awake through a lesson.

₊˚ ♡
Gojo - dramatic
💙 would bother everyone in his friend group for ideas or for their help orstracizing this event
💙 he'd probs gather a band and do something as cliche as a sing and dance in your school hallway
💙 he'd stayed up all night making the banner of 'will you marry me' full of rose petals stuck at the edge of the paper
💙 marriage? Like I said, dramatic.
💙 or would probably prank you, sending one of your close friends to tell you that he was badly injured cus he got jumped, only for him to pull out a single rose from his back pocket in the middle of your sobbing session when you were yelling for someone to call 911
💙 you almost said no cus of that prank
₊˚ ♡
Geto - in private, more intimate
🖤 he'd ask you at some type of usual hangout, he'd want you to be comfortable
🖤 like in the library, sliding a sticky paper to you with his elegant writing. It'd be in the middle of your quiet study session. You read: 'pretty girl, be my prom date?'
🖤 or maybe at the cafe you two would frequent, the question scribbled in the barista's scrawny penmanship all the while misspelling your name 💀
🖤 easy yes for you, the two of you would continue whatever you're doing after that, settling in a comfortable silence while holding hands
₊˚ ♡
Sukuna - blunt, casual
❤️ 'so, we on together for prom, right'? 💀
❤️ 'I'll pick you up by 6pm.'
❤️ honestly, you weren't sure if he was going to ask you at all so you were already thinking of a way to ask him first
❤️ 'are you asking me to prom? You know what? Fuck it, yeah.'
❤️ he'd probably drag you away from the venue to leave prom early and do something more to his liking, 'This shit's too cheesy.'
₊˚ ♡
Shoko - low key sweet, comedic
🤎 will probably give some type of pastries or chocolate with a short handwritten letter about all of her admiration for you and asking you to be her prom date. She'd read this letter out loud for you and kiss your cheek if you say yes.
🤎 if she was feelin' a little goofy, she'd probs ask you the question and have the words 'yes' and 'no' written in two separate cigarette sticks. She'd tell you to light the one that says your answer 💀
🤎 'Since you lit this one, you owe me a cigarette :))'
₊˚ ♡
Naoya - almost formal, a bit of an ass
🧡 prolly ask while eating dinner at his family home, just the two of you, your hand in his. "I'd like to be your date for prom."
🧡 Will immediately sigh in relief and let go of your hand as soon as you said yes. "Good. As you should. You're going to have to dress well if you're going to be seen out with me. You have the budget for a dress or…?"
🧡 he's spewing all this while you can see his hands trembling, trying to cover this nervous tick as he moves his utensils. He ain't slick. He's secretly as excited as you are.
🧡'we're going to match our outfits, of course.'

The first emotion that spiked through you when you heard that the second years were back from their mission was relief. None of them were dead; anything else, you could deal with.
You had rushed to the infirmary, ignoring Nobara’s snickers. She alone knew who you was sprinting to see — your feelings for a certainupperclassman were highly secret, of course, but somehow she had found out, and of course she had, because she was Kugisaki Nobara, and nothing could really be kept secret from her for very long.
She had been urging you to do something, to make a move, citing that it “wasn’t like he had a lot of girls interested in him, anyways,” but you had always been too shy. You weren’t sure that you could handle a rejection, and it was hard to tell whether he was interested in you or just polite.
But your fear did not stop you from skidding to a stop in front of Shoko, giving her a wide-eyed stare, patiently waiting for her to tell you what was wrong with your friends.
“Did you need something?” she said. Obviously, her cursed technique had nothing to do with reading minds, but you still scowled at her for not knowing what you were thinking.
“The second years. Are…are they alright?” you said. She frowned, and this was your first clue that there was something less than alright going on with the trio.
“Well, they’re not permanently hurt, no,” she said. You sighed in relief — this was more than you could’ve hoped for. The curse that they had been sent to fight was obviously a strong one, and more than that, it was wily, with a rumored arsenal of techniques far beyond what you could even comprehend.
“That’s good,” you said.
“It is. They’ll all make a full recovery; Maki and Panda were barely impacted, anyways,” she said. Your blood ran cold at the name she didn’t mention.
“And Inumaki?” you said. If something had happened to him…you weren’t sure what you’d do. Probably cry. A lot.
“He’s fine, just a bit shocked. See, the curse managed to take his cursed energy from him, so until that’s been replenished, he’s just a normal person,” she said.
“Huh?” you said. “What does that mean?”
“Why don’t you just ask him yourself?” she said, ushering you into the infirmary, “I know that’s why you’re really here.”
Maki and Panda were nowhere to be found, and Shoko groaned, muttering about irresponsible children and telling you she’d be back with her patients in tow once more. This left you alone in the room with Inumaki Toge — at once your biggest dream and greatest fear.
You did not speak for the first few moments, far too nervous to open your mouth. He was buried in a mountain of pillows and blankets, soft blond hair falling in his violet eyes as he flipped through the pages of a book. His zipped up collar was nowhere to be seen; he only wore a plain white t-shirt, leaving his snake-fang seals visible. You had always thought they were pretty, so then your nerves were overtaken by infatuation with the elegant markings. The end result was the same: when Inumaki looked up, it was to you awkwardly standing in the room and watching him read.
“Hello,” he said. This made you pause and think.
“Hi?” you said.
“How are you doing?” he said. Now you really were confused.
“Not that I’m complaining, but can’t you…not speak?” you said. He set his book on his nightstand and sat up with a heavy sigh.
“Normally, I can’t. But as of right now, I can. That’s the effect of that curse we fought. I have the most cursed energy out of the three of us second years, so it drained mine, which means I’m unable to use my technique until my energy’s built up again. Shoko estimates it’ll be about a week,” he said.
“Oh!” you said. So Inumaki had one week of talking normally before he would be back to his usual limited speech. You wondered what he would think to say.
You had met Inumaki on your first day at Jujutsu Tech. He had helped you find your dorm room and then, via text, warned you about Gojo’s antics. Your crush had been born the very same day. He was so beautiful and kind that it was almost a no-brainer, really; though he could only speak in rice ball components, you didn’t even care. You found solace in swooning at him from afar, and every conversation you had ever had with him since then was filed away in a special corner of your mind, played on repeat whenever you were bored.
Nobara thought you were crazy when she found out, asking you if you had an ingredients fetish and then teasing you for a solid day by moaning tuna in your ear whenever she saw you. She only stopped because you started crying and begged Fushiguro’s Divine Dogs to chase her away if she got too close. The dogs were friendly enough and obliged, though you had had to buy Fushiguro several bags of candy for his troubles.
You could hear her voice in your ear right now as you stared at Inumaki, though it was thankfully not her moaning ingredients but rather her insisting that you say something. It was so easy; now, at least, he could reject you properly, with words instead of helpless frustration and a long-winded text about how you were nice, really, but he just thought of you as an annoying friend who didn’t leave him alone, and anyways, why would he ever like you?
“Can I tell you something?” he said before you could ask to do the same. Privately, you were relieved at this, for it meant you could procrastinate your confession a little further.
“What’s up?” you said, a small, childish hope arising in you that maybe, just maybe, this was it. Maybe he’d confess first, and then things would be very simple indeed. You allowed yourself to feel excitement building at this prospect.
“I…oh, man, how do I do this?” he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, a flush rising over his pale cheeks. “Ah, shit, I’ve spent my whole life wishing I could speak and having so many things to say but not the words to say them, and now that I finally can talk, I just don’t even know what to say.”
“It’s alright. You can take your time, I don’t mind,” you said politely. And you didn’t mind — whatever he had to say, you would wait around for years if you needed to in order to hear it. He ran a hand through his hair.
“I’ll just come out with it, then!” he said, nodding determinedly before locking eyes with you, “I leave you.”
It suddenly felt like you were underwater, ears ringing. Your throat choked, and pathetic, childish tears blurred your vision. He was leaving. Inumaki, for whatever reason, was leaving. And not only was he leaving, he was leaving you in specific.
“R-really?” you said, forcing a smile, though you knew it was awfully unconvincing. “Did I do something wrong?”
“What?” He seemed embarrassed, now, averting his eyes, “No, why would you think that?”
“Well, you just said…” you trailed off helplessly.
“Oh. I thought you would be happy,” he said, his voice quiet, small, ashamed. He looked almost brokenhearted, though why he would be feeling hurt about this development, you could not be sure. He was the one making the choice to leave; you were the one fated to stay behind.
“Why would I be happy about that?” you said. He was dejected when he spoke next.
“Never mind. I don’t…I don’t know what I was thinking,” he said.
“I’ll still support you,” you said, steeling yourself to flash him a watery smile, “I hope we can still be friends.”
“Yes! Yes, please, please, I know I messed up by telling you this, but I don’t want us to stop being friends,” he said.
“I’m glad you told me, though. I’d rather not be left in the dark. Have you told anyone else yet?” you said.
“No, though I’m sure Panda suspects it,” he said before shifting uncomfortably to pull his blankets up and hide his face, “Can you, um, go? I want some time alone.”
“Right,” you said, “I’m glad you’re not hurt permanently.”
As you left, you thought you heard sniffles coming from the lump under the blanket, but if he really was crying, he gave you no other indication of it. You thought of lingering, of comforting him and asking him to comfort you, demanding he tell you the reason for his departure, but it was not your place. So, biting the inside of your cheek to hold your tears back, you marched towards Nobara’s dorm.
“He told you he’s leaving you?” she said, ten minutes later once you had explained to her the entire story. “How odd. And he hasn’t told anyone he’s transferring yet? Not even Gojo or Principal Yaga?”
“No,” you said, finding solace in her warm embrace, the scent of roses that wafted off of her skin, “I just don’t understand why he’s going.”
“It’s so strange. I mean, I really thought he liked you! Although, maybe he does. Think about it, you’re the first person he’s told, so clearly he trusts you a lot!” she said.
“You don’t have to lie to make me feel better,” you said, “Regardless as to his reasons, it remains that he’s leaving me. At least he said we can still be friends, though.”
“Wait!” she said, and there was a conniving smirk on her face that spelled trouble, “I have an idea. Let’s throw a surprise going-away-party for him! Even if you don’t confess, at least it’ll show you care about him. And maybe we’ll be able to figure out why he’s leaving and where he’s going, too.”
“We have to do it before the end of the week, then, that’s when Shoko estimates his cursed energy will be back to normal and he won’t be able to talk anymore,” you said.
“I doubt you’d be complaining about that, Miss Ingredients Fetish,” Nobara said.
“I don’t have a fetish for ingredients!” you said, wriggling out of her hug and glaring at her.
“Oh, really? So you won’t get all hot and bothered if I say ‘salmon,’ right?” she said.
“No!”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, Nobara, I’ve never been surer of anything in my life,” you said.
“Salmon,” she said, panting dramatically and clutching her chest. You threw a pillow at her, knocking her off of the bed in a fit of laughter.
“You suck,” you said.
“You swallow,” she shot back.
“Ugh! You’re hopeless!” you said, throwing your hands in the air.
“I’ll text the group chat to make plans for the party!” she said. You gave her the finger and stomped out of her room to go sit in your own and mope about the fact that Inumaki was leaving.
Really, this was probably a good thing. After all, with him gone, you didn’t have to worry about him accidentally finding out about your crush. And maybe you’d even be able to move on, though you had no idea who at this school would measure up to Inumaki.
Nobara’s plan was sound, though. A going away party would be perfect to wish him one final farewell — provided, of course, that you were able to keep it a secret from the boy. This was easier said than done, but you were determined. You would make Inumaki’s party an occasion to remember, but this meant you had to call in some help.
The first thing you did the next day was video call Okkotsu, who was currently in Africa, training with a sorcerer named Miguel. You had to track down Maki and beg her for his number; she had been very confused but had given it to you anyways.
This left you staring at your phone screen, praying he would pick up. Inumaki and Okkotsu were best friends, so it would be wrong to not tell the black-haired sorcerer about your plans. He also might have some insight as to where Inumaki was going and why he was leaving.
“Hello?” Thankfully, Okkotsu picked up, looking extraordinarily confused. There were dark circles under his eyes and a katana strapped to his back. Despite the fact that he looked battle ready, he was just sitting on a couch and shoving chips in his mouth. “Who is this?”
“Okkotsu, sir! This is Y/N, I’m one of the first years at Jujutsu Tech,” you said.
“Okay. Don’t call me sir, it’s weird and I’m only a year older than you. Is there a reason you’re calling me?” he said.
“Yes, there is. See, Inumaki —” you began before he cut you off.
“Ohhh, you’re that Y/N! Yeah, yeah, I completely approve,” he said.
“Did Nobara already tell you?” you said.
“No, Inumaki’s been telling me about this for months now! Who’s Nobara?” he said.
“Months? But we didn’t even start planning until yesterday,” you said.
“He’s been dreaming of this day since the beginning of the year, even video called me and everything! I don’t think I’ve heard him say ‘salmon’ as many times in a row ever before or since,” he said. Unbidden, you remembered Nobara’s actions from yesterday and shivered before shaking your head to clear such thoughts from your mind.
“Do you know why he…you know?” you said. If Inumaki really had been planning on leaving for so long, then certainly Okkotsu would know why. The boy hummed and nodded.
“Yeah, for sure! But it’s a little weird if I say it, you know? Against the bro code or whatever, and it’d feel a bit too much like I was trying to slide in, which I’m not! Just ask him, I’m sure he’ll be delighted to tell you. God, he must be so happy right now! I wish I could be there to see it,” he said.
“Well, that’s actually why I called you. I’m throwing a surprise party in honor of the occasion, and I was wondering if you’d be able to come, or at least video call in,” you said. Each word Okkotsu uttered was like a stab in the heart, further reinforcing the fact that Inumaki really, really, really didn’t like you. Why else did he make plans to leave the literal day he had met you? You only wished he would’ve gone sooner so that your feelings did not build up and compound from a simple admiration into something greater, something beautiful and untouchable yet twisted and cruel.
“Sounds like a great time! Just video call me, I’ll be sure to pick up. And I’ll try to send something along as a gift, too! Damn, I know it’s not my news to be excited for, but it feels as though my heart’s going to burst!” he said, popping a final chip into his mouth before hanging up. You stared at the phone’s black screen for a second, marvelling at how this short conversation had made you feel even worse about the status of your relationship with Inumaki.
Before, you had believed that the two of you were friends, at least. You both had gotten along well enough — you would train together and slip each other notes with book recommendations. He had told you his favorite restaurant and described exactly the meal you should order, and you had introduced him to your favorite television series. Yet with the latest revelations that your discussion with Okkotsu had brought about, it was clear that all of this was Inumaki doing the bare minimum to tolerate you until the day he could leave.
Maybe he was glad that he could speak, if only for a short time. It allowed him to tell you in no uncertain terms that he was going away. If only he had elaborated back then! If only he had said that he felt such a way about you from the very start instead of leading you on with candy-sweet platitudes and feigned affection.
With Okkotsu’s presence now confirmed (and a gift apparently on the way), you moved on to the next thing you had to do in order to prepare for the party: recruit the other second years.
You decided to start with Maki. Though she was seemingly brusque, she was also a caring girl, and you knew she’d be thrilled to help throw a farewell party for one of her closest friends, even if she had not known he was leaving until just now.
As expected, she was properly enraged upon hearing the news.
“He’s leaving? Leaving where, exactly? The only place he’ll be going is hell, because I’m about to punch him so hard that that’s where he’ll end up!” she said, balling her fists, a vein popping in her forehead.
“Woah, hey, Maki! I don’t know where he’s going, but please don’t confront him. I don’t think he wants people knowing, and I want the party to be a surprise. He might get suspicious if he realizes that you know,” you said.
“Stupid idiot, won’t even tell his own classmates that he’s going,” she muttered, “I’ll keep your secret. But I will be committing violence at the party.”
“Please don’t!” you said, distressed at the thought, “I want him to have a fun final memory of Jujutsu Tech.”
Her eyes softened when she looked at you, and she nodded begrudgingly. “Alright. Your secret, and your party, are safe with me. I won’t tell a soul! Although, you know…a surprise farewell party would be a great place to confess your feelings.”
“How — how do you know about my feelings?” you said.
“Firstly, you’re not exactly subtle, the others are just really oblivious. Secondly, Nobara mayyyy have let something slip,” she said.
“I’m going to kill her,” you said.
“Don’t,” she said.
“No, I’m seriously considering it,” you said.
“If you do, I’ll ruin Inumaki’s party,” she threatened.
“Fine!” you whined like a child, “I’m going to go talk to Panda.”
The large bear was asleep in the sun when you reached him. You nudged him with your foot in an attempt to get him to wake up; thankfully, he did, blinking his beetle-dark eyes open sleepily and sitting up when he saw you.
“Panda, I need your help,” you said seriously once you were sure that you had his undivided attention.
“What’s the matter?” he said.
“Inumaki’s leaving, so I’m throwing him a party,” you said. Panda furrowed his brow, clearly trying to process this development.
“He is?” he finally said. You nodded, a small frown tugging at the corners of your lips.
“Yeah, he literally told me as much! He was all like ‘I leave you,’ and it was kind of upsetting, actually,” you said.
“How interesting,” he said finally, and now there was mischief in his expression, “And you need my help with hosting a party?”
“I don’t know how much of a party it’ll be, exactly, I mean it’ll only be the first and second years, but yes, basically,” you said. He chuckled, rubbing his paws together menacingly.
“Excellent. Yes, I’d love to help! And it’s a surprise, right?” he said.
“Yes?” you said. He looked almost evil at this point, baring his teeth in his version of a smirk.
“Even better.”
With the second years thusly recruited and the first years taken care of by Nobara (you wasn’t sure what, exactly, she had over Fushiguro to convince him to join in on the festivities, but judging by the sour expression on his face when he RSVP'd to you, it had to be something), the guest list was complete. Panda assured you he’d get Inumaki to come without being obvious, and you were happy to entrust the task to him.
This left you to go shopping for party supplies, using Gojo’s credit card (Fushiguro had told you where it was hidden). You had convinced Nobara to stay behind, claiming that she needed to hold down the fort in your absence and get started on cleaning the room you’d use for the party. That was a lie, of course — you actually just didn’t want to take her shopping with you. If she came, you wouldn’t be back before midnight, and the party was supposed to be tonight.
“Where are you going?” Inumaki said. You almost screamed at the sound of his voice; you hadn’t expected him to just manifest out of nowhere, and especially not when you were trying to sneak out of the school in order to buy things for his surprise party.
“Shopping!” you said.
“Can I come? I feel like things were kinda left off weirdly last time we spoke, and I hoped we could try to fix them,” he said. You were unused to hearing him speak so many words at once, and you were mesmerised for a second before you mentally slapped yourself out of it.
“No! You cannot come. Sorry,” you said, feeling bad. You wanted nothing more than to talk with Inumaki, to talk and talk until your throat went dry and your words ran out, but if he saw what you were shopping for, then he’d catch on to the plan.
“Oh. Is it because I told you — ?”
“Absolutely not!” you yelped, cutting him off, not wanting him to get any ideas, “I’m shopping for personal things. Like tampons.”
“I don’t really mind that,” he said shyly, “I don’t think tampons are gross. I mean, they’re only plastic and cotton. I just really want to talk with you.”
“Sex toys!” you said.
“Um, what?” he said, taken aback. Your face was hot with embarrassment, but you needed him to understand that he was not allowed to come shopping with you. So you locked eyes with him and tried to repeat yourself.
“I am going shopping for, uh, you know…I mean, you heard me!” you said.
“Right!” he said, and he was so completely red you almost called him Clifford, “I’ll leave you to it, then! I guess we can talk later.”
You gave him a fake smile and a thumbs up, staying frozen in place until he had disappeared from sight. Then, with a wail, you called Nobara.
“I fucking told him I was shopping for sex toys!” you said, not even waiting for her to greet you like usual. There was a long silence on the other end of the line before someone cleared their throat.
“This is Fushiguro,” he said. You promptly hung up and cursed your luck. You should’ve sent Nobara to do the shopping. You really, reallyshould’ve sent Nobara.
That evening, as the sun set over the horizon and Panda distracted Inumaki, the rest of you decorated the room that Nobara and Yuji had cleared earlier in the day. Maki and Nobara were too busy whispering amongst each other to actually help, though, and you were hiding in the corner, too terrified of his reaction to even glance in Fushiguro’s direction. For his part, he did an excellent job of ignoring you, leaving him and Yuji to do the majority of the setting up.
When anxiety made it difficult to breathe, you began to fiddle with the projector, where Okkotsu’s face would be shown once he called in to the party. The green light was blinking, which meant that it was ready to go and was only waiting for you to connect your phone to it.
“It’s going to be fine,” Nobara soothed you, placing a hand on your shoulder, “I think he’ll be thankful you planned something like this at all.”
“And I still think you should confess your feelings,” Maki said, adding her unwanted opinion, “Seriously! If he rejects you then it doesn’t matter, because he’ll just be leaving soon anyways. I think you should consider it.”
“She’s right,” Nobara said, “Here, maybe this’ll motivate you.”
She leaned in until her lips were barely brushing against the shell of your ear, cool breath tickling against your neck.
“What are you doing?” you said, unamused. She pitched her voice lower before speaking.
“Bonito flakes.”
“You little — stop doing that! I do not have an ingredients fetish!” you shouted, hitting her shoulder repeatedly. She burst into raucous laughter, tears of mirth gathering along her lash line.
“I’m going to have to request you to please stop talking about your intimate life in front of me, please,” Fushiguro said uncomfortably, “I already know far more than I ever wanted to.”
“Fushiguro, it wasn’t like that, I was shopping for party supplies! I only said the other thing to throw Inumaki off the trail,” you said.
“Okay,” he said, obviously not believing you but allowing you to pretend, “Whatever you say.”
“Shh! Panda and Inumaki are on their way!” Yuji said, interrupting the conversation by hushing all of you obnoxiously, “Everyone, positions!”
You all ducked behind various pieces of furniture, and one of Fushiguro’s Divine Dogs hit the light switch, plunging the room into darkness before it melted into the shadows once more.
A second later, the door creaked open, revealing Inumaki and Panda’s silhouettes standing in the frame. From beside you, Nobara began to giggle, and you pinched her in an effort to get her to shut up. It worked, although it did have the unfortunate consequence of her pinching you back.
“What’s going on here?” Inumaki said, turning the lights on. As soon as he did, you all (with the exception of Fushiguro, of course) leapt out at him. He fell backwards in surprise, staring up at you through thick lashes.
“Surprise!” Yuji said.
“It’s not my birthday?” Inumaki said.
“Do you see a cake anywhere?” Nobara said, “This isn’t a birthday party, it’s a farewell party!”
“A farewell party? But who are we saying farewell to?” Inumaki said in confusion.
“You. Did you think we wouldn’t care about your departure? You idiot, we’re going to miss you so much!” Maki said, sniffing and wiping away a tear.
“Let’s all go around and share our favorite memories with Inumaki,” Yuji said. Inumaki seemed dumbfounded, so Nobara took the initiative to respond.
“That’s a great idea! I’ll go first — I really enjoyed the one time he let me paint his nails,” she said.
“I don’t have any good memories,” Fushiguro deadpanned, “But if I had to pick a tolerable one, it would be when I convinced him to use his Cursed Speech on Nanami.”
“I remember that!” Maki said, howling in laughter, “And I can’t pick a favorite memory. We just have too many good ones.”
“Same!” Yuji said, and he was bawling now for some reason, “You’re just so cool, Inumaki! I’m so sad that you’re going!”
“Y/N, what about you?” Maki said.
“Confess! Confess! Confess!” Nobara chanted, not even trying to be subtle about it anymore.
“Be quiet!” you said.
“Do it or I’ll do it for you!” she said. You looked around at the audience; they all seemed interested, even Fushiguro. Though you wanted to talk to Inumaki in a bit more of a private setting, Nobara and Maki were right in that this was the perfect time to say something. So, taking a deep breath, you faced the boy.
“Inumaki,” you said, “I know that I’ve been acting weird recently, ever since you told me you’ll be going, but that’s because I don’t want you to. See, the truth is that I love you. I think I have for a while now, and I’m going to miss you, and I don’t want you to go, so please don’t. Please stay.”
He blinked. “Huh? What do you mean? I never said I was going anywhere.”
“Yes you did!” you said, pointing at him accusingly, “I remember it! That day in the infirmary!”
“I didn’t say I was going anywhere, I said I leave you!” he said.
“That’s the same thing!” you said indignantly, “You’re getting upset about semantics when I just confessed that I love you, idiot! Doesn’t that even mean anything to you?”
“No? I’ve never heard of that word before!” he said.
“Love? You’ve never heard of love before?” you said. He shook his head.
“Nope,” he said.
“L-O-V-E. Love. That rings no bells?” you said. His face suddenly went snow-white.
“L-O-V-E is pronounced…love?” he said.
“How the hell else would it be pronounced?” you snapped, feeling far too bewildered and irritated to soften your words. How could he have treated your feelings so flippantly? How did he just not understand love?
Inumaki suddenly found the floor incredibly fascinating. “...leave.”
“What?” You said.
“What?” he said innocently.
“OH MY GOD!” Nobara squealed, catching on far quicker than you, “You both are idiots!” Finally, you began to understand, and then you were inclined to agree with her.
“So you’re not going anywhere?” you checked.
“No, I’m not,” he said.
“He hasn’t been able to speak for practically his entire life,” Panda said, shoulders shaking with laughter, “Can you blame him if he mispronounces a couple of words now and then? It’s not like anybody’s ever corrected him before.”
Mispronounced words. He had mispronounced one of the simplest words in the English language, and it had led to all of this.
“You’re not leaving,” you said again, drawing closer to him, “You’re not leaving me.”
“I won’t ever leave you if you don’t want me to,” he said, wrapping his arms around you in a warm hug.
“Don’t,” you said, “Please don’t.”
“I love you. That’s what I meant to say all along,” he said.
“I guess I threw this whole party for nothing, then,” you said, hiding your face in his shirt.
“Is this what you were shopping for earlier? Not…the other things?” he said.
“Yeah. It was just a surprise, so I didn’t want you coming along,” you said, feeling bashful at how entirely silly the entire affair had ended up being. He let out a warm, gentle laugh that caused his chest to vibrate against your cheek.
“It’ll be hard, you know. Once this week is over, I’ll be back to only speaking in rice ball ingredients,” he warned.
“That’s probably for the best. Less room for misinterpretation,” you said.
“Plus, she has an ingredients fetish!” Nobara chimed in. You withdrew from the safety of Inumaki’s shirt to scowl at her.
“Enough with the ingredients fetish!”
A knock at the door interrupted the tense showdown; Panda opened it to reveal a delivery man, who was holding a package and fidgeting, probably out of fear, considering he was face to face with a giant, sentient panda.
“I have a package from an Okkotsu Yuta, addressed here?” he said. You slapped your forehead.
“Shit, I forgot about him! Thank you,” you said, accepting the box and then quickly calling Okkotsu.
“Hey, guys!” he said cheerily. His phone must have been set up against the wall of a building or something, because it showed him busy using his katana to exorcise curses and not even breaking a sweat, “Sorry, this isn’t a great time, but congratulations on getting together! I hope you like your present — hey! Stay away from the iPhone!” The screen abruptly went dark as a curse swiped at Okkotsu’s cell phone, knocking it down while the sorcerer snarled.
“Open the present!” Yuji said excitedly.
Inside of the box were two bright pink t-shirts. Both of them had white lettering on them — one said I’m Okkotsu Yuta’s Best Friend Foreverand the other said I’m Okkotsu Yuta’s Girlfriend-in-Law.
You all stared at them, expressions varying from amusement to delight to horror. You didn’t even question how Okkotsu had known that you and Inumaki would confess to each other. Clearly, he already thought you both were together, so it was really just divine timing in that sense.
Somewhere in Africa, Okkotsu finished exorcising the curses and sheathed his katana, casting aside his jacket to reveal a bright pink shirt that said on it in white lettering, I’m Okkotsu Yuta.
“Maybe they’ll let me third wheel,” he mused to himself, “I mean, they had better, considering how hard these shirts were to find at the thrift store.”

The JJK x TWST crossover that started living rent free in my head >:'D
Random Doodle Edition
Ahem, so, uhh, turns out the characters of Jujutsu Kaisen fit pretty well as Night Raven College students, temperament-wise, and that was all the excuse I needed. Yes the ages get funky but whatever. Happy high school AU except they still get cool powers and Trauma(tm). Just less than JJK canon so I count it as a win.
I also may or may not have written an entire oneshot (here on AO3) for some freshmen Satoru & Suguru bonding, featuring me still bullying Satoru over his funky eyes.
Image Text (and me rambling more) underneath the cut
-
Gojo Satoru (of the Jupiter Clan)
Ignihyde Housewarden Year: Junior Species: Sky Dragon (Fae) Club: Movie Analysis Club Unique Magic: Six Eyes—pretty much just like canon Six Eyes. They can see far and wide and out of normal sight, and they can see magic in a highly detailed manner. They are also powered by magic that just, never stops ever, so he can decrease or increase the power/range at will to a degree, but technically, cutting off magic from them altogether will blind him. Also he has an inherited magic that he by no means asked for, which is, sad drumroll, Gate of the Underworld. (There are no shrouds in this AU, just me finding ways to forever make Satoru instrumental to the well-being of the world to his own detriment. I have waaaaay more thoughts about the "Jupiter Clan of dragons" and what that actually entails, but they are still jumbled and shifting, so. Maybe later.)
-
Geto Suguru (of the Draconia Clan)
Diasomnia Housewarden Year: Junior Species: Night Dragon (Fae) Club: Equestrian Club Unique Magic: Magic-eater—can consume and nullify any spell and gain its base magic. With minimum side effects. Mostly. :)
-
Satoru and Suguru are their usual brand of special-grade menaces, being the only two adolescent dragon fae in the world, buttttt they still inevitably become besties. With Shoko too, of course, who has no fear and will mess with them as they see fit.
Suguru is essentially Malleus in this AU, though in Suguru-fashion, he's way more stubborn when it comes to trying to catch up. (Translating him being new to sorcery to being new to technology was surprisingly low-hanging fruit.) Meanwhile I borrowed the Jupiter name/legacy because it was fitting and made the Gojo Clan into a long-lived dynasty of antisocial dragons who fist-fight and deal with Phantoms and recently accidentally became a tech empire, which is pretty close to the Sorcerer Family vibe a la TWST, if I say so myself.
There's definitely a lot of backstory I have in mind for the two of them. Neither of them beat teen parenthood (they are currently Malleus-aged, so 178 years old, but that's still teenagehood for a dragon/fae) and acquired children through various means, much to the consternation of their elders/court. I might develop/write more solid ideas later, but Suguru has a reverse characterization moment when he finds two starved/beaten human children (the twins) and begins his journey of losing all intrinsic racism via love, and Satoru still somehow gets his shit wrecked by Toji (probably a heist gone violent or something) and then finds out he had abandoned children: human Tsumiki and half-fae Megumi.
-
Nobara Orientation Comic:
Nobara: Obviously, I'm going to get ~Pomefiore~ because I'm elegant and graceful. (And a badass queen, of course)
Mirror: The nature of your soul is... Savanaclaw
Nobara, getting dragged away from the Mirror by Maki: HEY WAIT A MINUTE! STOP MESSING WITH ME YOU DIRTY SMUGED HUNK OF JUNK AND I'LL SHOW YOU WHAT I THINK OF—
(Nobara gets her reverse-Epel moment, but she adapts quickly. Especially because she still comes to have mad respect for Maki.)
-
Ieri Shoko
Ignihyde Vice-Housewarden Year: Junior Species: Merfolk (Nurse Shark) Club: Science Club Unique Magic: Reverse—rewinds a target to its previous state within twenty four hours. The longer within the range, the harder/more magic it will take, especially for larger targets, so realistically her range is less. (For example, if someone cracked a piece of glass 24 hours ago, Shoko could restore it, but a day-old wound on a living being would be much harder.)
Making Shoko a mermaid was a joke to myself at first but then I liked it and it spiraled and now Nurse Shark Shoko is unironically one of my favorite things that I have drawn. The joke was right there too, but it's mostly fun to me because nurse sharks are docile and apathetic creatures, for the large part (they are still sharks lol), and I think match her temperament well.
Also when Satoru pestered the previous housewarden enough times to accidentally gain the title for himself, he made Shoko his vice (mostly because he trusted her) to make sure he never had to do the paperwork and the boring parts. She makes him do it anyway. To the dorm, she is less of a vice and more of a "dragon wrangler," which is still extremely appreciated.
-
Zen'in Maki
Savanaclaw Housewarden Year: Sophomore Species: Human Club: Track & Field Unique Magic: N/A—Maki doesn't actually have magic of her own, but she is unnaturally resistant to most magic. She can, however, use magic/cast spells through a magic-capable familiar.
She befriended a phoenix when she was younger, having survived an encounter with a wild youth. (idk what I want the details to be but I think it would be cool if she had some related burns to it, with the idea that these creatures are rare and volatile and hard for normal humans to handle without high magic resistance.) His name is Torch because I don't think Maki would put that much thought into a name, so long as its not completely stupid sounding. I almost named the phoenix Jogo but I refrained for my own sanity.
-
Inumaki Toge
Savanaclaw Year: Sophomore Species: Human Club: Board Game Club Unique Magic: Reality Speak—pretty much just how Cursed Speech works but with a world-friendly name. Also it can apply to inanimate objects as well. The power and scope of the command is proportional to the magic required.
Toge gets an overall nicer time in this AU because he doesn't have cursed speech 24/7 and therefore can speak normally. Though the idea of him being able to affect people/bend reality with his words does freak people out. I imagine he had a rough childhood nonetheless, because why not, leading him to be less verbal than he would have been otherwise.
-
Okkotsu Yuuta
Diasomnia Year: Sophomore Species: Human Club: Board Game Club Unique Magic: Wraith Pact-maker—he can enhance/bolster a ghost's magic/presence through making a link with himself. It has to be mutual, and it can last for any duration of time, although actively using the link does require magic. The ghost in question gains magic and grounding from Yuuta, and Yuuta can use the ghost's magic, including their UM, if applicable. He can have multiple links, but the first and main recipient of this magic is his childhood friend Rika.
Between her longlasting connection with Yuuta and her brutal death, she is a more wraith-like and powerful ghost. Her unique magic was to copy other people's UMs, which Yuuta can use through her in short bursts.
-
I didn't have space nor solid ideas for unique magics for the Hasaba twins and the Fushiguros, so I didn't do full bios for them. Later, perhaps. All of the girls are sophomores and Megumi is a freshman. Tsumiki and Nanako are sharing their social brain cell and trading stories of stupid things their dragon dads/older brothers/untitled guardians have done, while Megumi is helping budding-gamer Mimiko learn Pokemon strats. I love the idea of them all being friends, maybe after minimal difficulty in the girls' first year, likely on account of the twins being a little Sebek-shaped, in terms of wanting to be The Best Guards for Suguru, etc etc.
-
I technically have way more ideas for other characters and other dorms, but, I will end this here, for now. I am trying to reign myself in lmao.

you can’t win!
warnings: short drabble lol, my head is so empty tdy
“Wanna try?” Shoko’s elbow is propped up on your desk, her chair moved to be right across from from your own.
Her palm is open, fingers slightly bent in the air to signify what she’s offering.
Arm wrestling. (An opportunity to hold her soft, elegant hands.)
You agree with no hesitation.
Your hands grip hers gently, interlocking your palms and fingers as you ready to wrestle her.
“Don’t go easy on me, okay?” She smiles at you, eyes closed as she sends your heart racing whilst you look at her.
She’s making your heart go into overdrive, the sound of your beating heart filling your ears as you feel her tighten her grip, the way her skin felt against your own, the way her pretty nails are glistening in the sunlight. Was that a new colour? Would she paint yours for you if you-
You’ve won.
“Good job.”
You: 1 SSS: 0
Shoko’s chair is immediately pushed to the side, a new chair replacing hers as a certain white-haired menace takes her place.
“My turn!” His hand is already sticking out, sunglasses lopsided from his rush to get into place.
(You fix them for him. His grin grows ever wider.)
He’s… Not budging. You’re trying to push his hand down, but he’s absolutely unyielding.
“Come on, don’t give up!” His fingers are wrapped around yours squeezing lightly in encouragement as he rests his chin on the free arm he had also propped up onto your desk.
You wheeze, trying your hardest to push him down as he sits there, unbothered.
You sigh. You lost.
You move to remove your hand, only to feel it being gripped in place.
“Can’t you let me savour my win a bit?” He’s smiling, his grin stretching from ear to ear as his glasses begin to slide down, revealing sparkling blues that aimed to get you lost in them.
You do. It’s captivating, the way they shined with with joy, sparkling as you feel an electric spark flying between the both of you, his hand gripping yours ever so tightly before-
Shoko has tugged his glasses back up, your hand is immediately tugged away from his as she breaks your connection.
(“You didn’t have to make let go so quick, you know?!” I was enjoying that!”)
You: 1 SSS: 1
“I don’t suppose,” Suguru shoves the Infinity user off his chair as Shoko laughs, taking pictures of a fallen Satoru. “You have it in you for one more?”
(“How could you be so cruel to me Suguru?!”
“You shouldn’t have eaten my chocolate cornet.”
“That was so deserved. I even wrote Suguru’s name on it.”
“Satoru… You didn’t touch my pudding, did you?”)
It’s… Strangely easy…? The back of his hand is against the surface of the desk in an instant. There was no resistance…?
(Shoko is observing with a pouty Satoru.)
You’re confused.
“I… Win?”
He smiles at you, eyes curving up into little crescents as his face rests in the palm of his free hand.
“You win.”
“But… You didn’t even try…”
“Who says I didn’t?” His grip on your hand slightly loosens as he sees your sudden downcast expression.
“But if you feel bad…” His eyes flit to your interlocked hands. “You should console me a little, right?” You feel his grip tighten immediately. Not painfully, no. Just enough to make you feel comfortable. (And unable to escape him.)
Is this really a win?
You: 2? SSS: 1

Notes:
Shoko could have in fact won given how distracted you were. She chose to let you win.
Gojo did in fact eat your pudding.
Ieiri painted your nails for you later that night. And Geto’s. And Gojo’s.
Gojo requested for his toenails to be done too. He was ignored as Shoko didn’t want to go anywhere near his feet.
“I washed them a few days ago!”
She makes a face.
Suguru pipes in with a grimace. “Shoko’s right. That’s disgusting.”
“You are all so mean!” Satoru’s whining as he clings onto you, fake crying into your navel. You pat his head.
“They’re both right.” You smile down at him. “That’s really gross.”
(He got up to the bathroom to wash them afterwards.)
(Shoko still refused to touch them.)

𝐂𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐝 彡 In which . . . Suguru's hug is the deepest hug you've ever had.
For my lovely Nat @natdu
〔CW〕 — Nothing !!
〔CW〕 — THIS TOOK WAY LONGER THAN EXPECTED AND IM SORRY!! I do want to dedicate this post to Izzy @saesins im rly sry for how late this is but happy late birthday my love :>
Tumblr media
He's so enchanting, with his voice and his words. With his gaze and smile. With his natural elegance and charm. He's everything you want and more.
But how do you even approach someone as great as him? Tapping your pen against your desk, you gaze out at the afternoon sky, watching how the clouds swim away.
He's so pretty.
You love the smell of empty classrooms, spending most of your time there as you write stupid love letters or drawing little hearts and flowers around his name.
You just want him to look at you and think the best thoughts ever.
It's stupid.
You wait and wait, looking at your wrist watch and begging for the time of when he comes by and makes the first move.
But by pushing yourself away, how do you expect him to notice you if you just hide?
He wishes you could be more forward.
He wants to talk to you about anything and everything, he wants to see you, he wants to hear your voice, your laugh, he wants to see you smile and frown, he just wants to see you.
He wants to touch you, caress your hair, poke your cheek, hold your hand, kiss you, hug you.
He wants to interact with you in any way possible or he might lose it.
Suguru Geto is straight forward with the things he wants. And he wants you, right this second, as he "attempts" to listen to Gojo yap about whatever it is he's talking about.
Soon. He reminds himself, but how long has it been?
"Too long to count," Gojo's words.
Groaning and overwhelmed, "I'm gonna do it."
"Hah?" The white haired boy was just about to chew on his mochi, looking towards the ravenette with an arched brow.
"I'm gonna confess."
"Yeah right."
"I swear!"
Tumblr media
"He's right there Shoko!" Frantically grabbing onto your friend's arm, watching as your crush walks back into the ground of Jujutsu Tech.
"Indeed he is," she sounds bored, popping the lollipop out of her mouth, "Here he comes too."
"What." It's not a question, and Shoko's not lying. The taller male approaching you with that kind smile and thin eyes.
"Hey," Oh wow, is what you think. Gazing up at him as if he's the angel that's about to take you to heaven.
"Hi..."
Shoko laughs and walks away, leaving the two of you alone. But you don't like that, you attention shifts to the girl that's skipping away happily, glancing back at you and wiggling her brows as you silently tell her to get her ass back here.
"[Name]," he calls softly. Sending ripples of beats through your entire body, you're vibrating slightly.
"Hm?" You don't turn back to face him fully before he's hugging you tightly. Lifting your body up against his, strong arms wrapping around your middle, nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck.
It takes you a good minute to understand what's happening. And it takes you a good minute to wrap your own arms around him. Slowly and hesitantly.
"I know this is weird and you're probably uncomfortable," he says, his voice muffled as he hides into your skin, inhaling the scent of your perfume, "but I've wanted to tell you that I really like you."
Pink roses bloom on your cheeks, a small gasp leaving your parted lips, you don't know what to say and you don't know how to say anything at this point.
So you just squeeze back, hoping it's enough to convey your unspoken confessions.
Suguru's hug is deep, it's strong and meaningful, bold and simple, thick and thin.
It speaks complicated words and simple ones, this hug is everything you needed and more.
You feel complete now, not having to worry about the pressure of crushing on someone that might not notice you because he's with you now.
He's yours now.
And you're his now.
You cuddle yourself closer, twirling a finger around a strand of his hair. It took either of you long enough to share each other's feelings.
But the wait was worth it.

What do you think Y/N and Satoru’s wedding was like from ur ff series??
send in questions or headcanons for the family formations series <3
masterlist
so I feel like it was a small enough wedding (30 people or so), but just so stunningly beautiful. Reader wore a simple, heavy satin, Bardot neck A-line skirt dress with a corset type bodice, Satoru in a simple black and white tux, Yaga married them. Megumi was groomsmen and Tsumiki was flowergirl. Reader walked herself down the aisle bc she’s NOBODIES to give away. Reader made her own bouquet (see the cursed technique question), peonies and babies breath. They had a beautiful dinner and after party in a luxury rooftop botanic garden and champagne was FLOWING. Music played all night.
They didn’t have a bachelor/bachelorette party as such. Gojo, Megumi, Nanami, Yaga and Ijichi went to get a nice steak dinner and you picked up Megumi so they could go to a whiskey tasting bar and then you had to pick up your lightweight fiancé.
You, Shoko, Tsumiki, Utahime and Mei Mei went to the salon together and then for dinner, Tsumiki then went back home to Gojo and you and your girls picked up many bottles of wine and went for a spa retreat for the night.
The issue of best man caused some sadness, because years ago the role had been promised to Suguru. One late night, all of you 18, passing around a lit joint as you all lay on the roof of the dorms, stargazing and chatting shit before the talk moved to the future and Satoru and you had admitted you hoped to get married some day and suguru decided he would best man, shoko claimed maid of honour.
It was decided that there was really only one suitable candidate now, being Nanami, he was Satoru’s best friend - no matter how much he denied it.
Shoko was still your maid of honour. That much would never change.
You didn’t have a wedding cake, just a huge table full of mochi that you had ordered as a surprise for Satoru.
The vows brought everyone to tears, and the wedding rings were your family heirlooms.
Megumi refused to be ringbearer so it was decided it would be his shikigami, then each taking a ring to the alter - much to the delight of the roof full of sorcerers.
The reception was the party of the century, cocktails in abundance and a constant supply or food and live music, all aided by the late summer air.
All in all a stunning wedding, classic, timeless and elegant- beautiful in its intimacy.

His Universe pt2
Angst, mention of accident, broken limp, driving late in the middle of the night, drinking and driving
Oneshot of Gojo Satoru x reader
WC: 1.7 k
It's your birthday today, you had hoped to wake up next to your boyfriend, Satoru, but upon waking up you find the other side of your shared bed empty. You thought he may have woken to surprise you with breakfast.
You took a quick shower and dressed up on a simple yet elegant black dress, it compliments your curves too you hope that Satoru would be head over heels with the silt of the side of the dress showing off your thighs.
You head towards the kitchen hoping you'd see Satoru, but he wasn't present, you looked around for him, but it felt like finding a needle in hay, calling for his name to get no response. " toru? are you there?" you kept calling to again no response.
Feeling defeated, you went back to the kitchen assuming he left you alone for your special day. You can't help but feel disappointed, you wanted to spend the whole day with him, you even took a day off from work, just for him to disappear. Sighing you opened the refrigerator to get milk to pair with your cereal, closing the refrigerator, you see a new sticky note on it,
"Sorry sunshine, I have to get to work its urgent ly :) -toru" was written on it, Satoru and you would often leave sticky notes for each other on the refrigerator door so it was not surprising to you, but you can't help but wonder what's so important he would leave you alone on your birthday. You can't help but think he may have forgotten, alike last year.
After having breakfast, it was 11 am ish has you picked up your phone, looking at the texts you've been getting. Texts from Suguru, Shoko, Nanami was sent to you, but you've not seen one from your lover, Satoru. You think he was too busy, so you pushed away the thought of him forgetting, you shouldn't jump to conclusions.
You ended up replying to those texts, which ended in you accepting Suguru and Shoko's invite for lunch, it's been a long while since the group had hung out so you couldn't decline. You wanted to invite Satoru but he ended up not responding to your text, well he never opens his phone during work, so you got ready and met with the pair.
You've go to the address of a sushi place that Shoko had recommended, Suguru already arrived waiting for you and Shoko. "Hey Y/N! happy birthday!" he said giving you a fist bump.
Returning the act, bumping his hand you say thanks, Shoko arrived a few minutes later due to traffic, funny because ironically, she would always be the early one in the past.
A young waiter came to sit the three of you, but Suguru declined thinking his best friend would also join, Satoru, "Satoru is busy today, he cant join" you stated letting the young man sit the three of you down. After the kind waiter leaves you three Shoko asked you
"What's so busy that Satoru has to do to leave you alone on this special day?"
You decided not to respond to that question has you truly didnt know, you decide to change the topics and the duo, Shoko and Suguru insisted to buy you a gift after lunch, "Oh cmon, its your special day its not like we do this everyday" Shoko argued after you constantly declining, but you give in to the two, promising them.
You and Shoko left your cars in the parking lot of the sushi place, getting into Suguru's car to head to the mall. During the car ride, they kept talking small talk, but your mind is just wondering if Satoru had eaten or went back home, so you checked your phone, 2 new texts from "toru <3"
You look down to see the conversation on your Samsung flip phone which Satoru had given you the month prior.
YOU: Hey bb, can u join lunch with me? -11:34 am
YOU: With Suguru and Shoko lol -11:34 am
Toru <3: Ahh I am sorry princess
Toru <3: Did you have fun? -1:03 pm
YOU: Yep <3 - a minute ago
5:19 pm. The trio is now saying their goodbyes to one another after Suguru sends you and Shoko back at the sushi restaurants to pick up your cars. Your hands holding a new jacket the both had chipped in to get you, a smile on your face has you bid them farewell before driving back home to you and Satoru's shared home.
You hoped to see him showering you with kisses cuddles and affection, but he wasnt there, when you had reached home, it was already 5:49 pm, you shower and change out of your dress and getting into his shirt because you forgot where you had last put your t shirt.
You ended up waiting for him, to no response, it was already 11pm something. On normal days, he would come home late around this time, you would also wait for him, but today is your birthday, yet you didnt see a inch of him at all.
He didnt even say Happy Birthday? You stormed off, some would say you were overreacting, but you felt like he doesnt care at all, you put on a sexy sparkely navy blue dress, black high boots to match and walked out the door with your car keys.
Where were you going extactly? the club. Why? no idea, it was 12 am when you reached the club, your birthday offically over but there was still a huge crowd in the club. You partied, told the bartender to make you drinks throughout the night, you acted like a madlad screaming and dancing, but no one judged cause everyone was drunk.
When the bartender kicked you out, it was 1 AM you were half sober, not sober enough to drive but to think, you picked up your phone to call Satoru but you saw the 21 missed calls from the contact and you remembered he forgot your birthday,so instead of calling Satoru back to pick you up, your mad at him. So u drove, big mistake.
"Do you know where is Y/N?"Satoru called Suguru, thinking he was with him due to the lunch prior,
"Wdym? we all went home," He stated half awake, it was 12 am when Satoru had spammed called Suguru, forcing the poor man to call back"Its late uk, wdym she is not home?"he yawned
"She is not here!" Satoru explained with panic plastered on his face "I checked around the house 100 times"
Its no suprise he would be worried, you always come home at 10, and you would tell him if your staying out later, knowing once he blew a hole in the wall in a restaurant when it was 10:01 to look for you.
"Just look again, I needa sleep," Suguru stated muting his phone leaving Satoru with no answers
"Fuck..." Satoru mumbled getting his car keys preparing to leave before his phone rang again, he thought it may be Suguru, but oh how wrong he was, the caller was not Suguru but the hospital,
Honking noises, red and blue lights and blood on your hands was the last thing you heard or saw before ultimately nothingness,
"Its 50/50" the doctor said, working the night shift for the ER he had seen many cases of DUI, car crashes and more, but he cant help but feel pity for Satoru, the man was sobbing, not wanting to leave the hospital, not wanting to leave his universe behind, not wanting to leave you behind.
He sat on the outside of your room door, asking about your wellbeing everytime a doctor walks out, at first the doctors would respond, after him asking more, they ingored him, leaving Satoru clueless. He was sat alone, your family members and friends were sleeping at the time so it wasnt a shocker.
He didnt know what to do, he was the strongest wasnt he? Why, couldnt he help you? His will to live? What will he do without you? Why is he so powerless now?
When he was finally able to reach your side, he saw the heartbeat monitor beating so slightly, much lower than average heartbeat amounts, your face as pale as snow, one of your hands bandaged, another connected to IVs, in hospital attire.
"She is in a coma," a doctor explained to Satoru has he sat behind your bed, with tears filling his eyes full. "We estimate her waking up in a week, she was found drinking, she is charged with DUI"
Satorus eyes widened in shock, drinking and driving?... Why didnt u call him to pick you up? Why did you even drink? "I'll pay for it.." his voice was still shaky, but he is glad you would wake up.
Your family members and friends visted your unconcess body, crying, sobbing and when Suguru got told of the situation he came too. Satoru didnt leave your room at all, he didnt want to leave you, he didnt talk to anyone though, just sitting there soul-less.
Suguru saw your weakened state and saw your boyfriend Satoru, he had dark black circles under his blue eyes, his hand holding yours softly, not wanting to let go but not wanting to disconnect the IVs
"I'm sorry," Suguru apologised, he didnt know you would do this on your birthday of all days so it was a suprise to him, he really didnt know,
"Its alright" Satoru said, not his glare not leaving your face, he knew you wouldnt want him to be mad at Suguru anyways, you hate it when they fight, "you didnt know."
A week passes by, Satoru stayed by your side most of the time, the rest of the time was Shoko and Suguru begging for him to go home and rest which he did. He couldnt sleep well without your touch and he wants you back, now. When you woke up, unfimillar faces were everywhere,
Whose everyone?
Where are you?
Why is there a man holding your hand?
"Who are you?" you called out to the man holding and carressing your hand softly, you faced the rest of the people "Who is everyone?" You had lost your memories.

Gojo Satoru and Iori Utahime/ contrast
This is not particularly a ship post, I don’t mind the ship either. (I just want to analyze them outside of romance). It's just that I was rereading Jujutsu Kaisen manga and had some drafts of characters that struck out to me, Utahime being one of them, Goodwill event reread made me appreciate so many characters even more, because this is the arc where all students and their stories are fleshed out. These characters really develop from what we have seen till now in the manga.
Utahime stood out me as a character the moment she was introduced during the first read itself (and no, it was not her scar), this time around I decided to investigate her character more, if it was any other series I probably wouldn’t have, but it’s Gege Akutami, his minor characters are written beautifully with unique roles.
As I mentioned before, she stood out, because we literally didn’t know any other teacher except Gojo in the story, the first teacher to be introduced in the story after Gojo was her. That was a matter of natural curiosity.
Tumblr media
From her reactions to Gojo clearly showed she was not his fan. That was like pretty standard reaction to Gojo in vicinity, pretty much what we saw from other characters initial intro as well, Megumi finds him idiotic, Nanami doesn’t respect him, Gakuganji hates him, Shoko is apathetic, Ichiji is scared of him and called him lazy (Gege really made sure to tell the readers how annoying Gojo is lol). But since she was a fellow teacher, I wanted to know whether she aligns with Gojo or like Gakuganji, she is with the Higher ups or much like Shoko, doesn’t care about politics all together. Her shrine maiden outfit was interesting as well (it’s like Kikyo/Kagome from Inuyasha), so it was a wonder what her powers would be like.
Tumblr media
Utahime, from her posture and speech pattens appears to be a very elegant woman. Her worry regarding Miwa, prioritizing safety of the students, being genuinely happy that they are safe, gave us the conclusion that she is a very responsible and good teacher to her students. Her alignment with Gojo was quickly answered as well since Gojo trusted her enough with a very important task and information. Gankuganji didn’t include her when he gave the task to Kyoto students to kill Itadori, I believe it was because either she wouldn’t agree to it, or convince her students not to follow him.
Her interactions with Gojo also stood out, since there are many characters who don’t respect Gojo but trust him, she is one of them. However, no one really went “out of character” like her and threw a cup of tea at him. Nanami thinks work is shit in general, he has same kind of distaste for Gojo that he had for his boss, Shoko doesn’t overtly react to anything, Ichiji generally has low self-esteem. All these characters don’t break out of their usual character patterns for Gojo, there reaction to his idiocracy is “in character”. Whereas Utahime, whom we have seen mostly as a responsible teacher and calm headed individual with quick thinking, breaks from her usual character with Gojo. Her dislike of Gojo is very genuine. I think that for a no-nonsense individual person like Utahime, she doesn’t take Gojo’s jokes well. For Gojo, its his usual jokes/remarks but for Utahime its him not respecting her. I mean one thing though, at least, Utahime doesn’t look for validation from anyone, she just demands respect as fellow sorcerer and senior, canonically she is not insecure, she doesn’t even hide her scar with mask or makeup shows how unbothered she is about it, I like that about her.
From what we know about the Past Arc of Gojo, Utahime is the only confirmed senior of Gojo, Getou, and Shoko. Mei Mei is most likely older than Utahime (mei calls Utahime by her given name, but uta addresses her as ‘Mei-san’, I think she is at least 3-4 years older than Utahime, personally). Kasukabe was not even mentioned in that arc so he is ruled out as well. Utahime is the only one that studied in the same school as them, and that’s why she is pretty close with Shoko. I think it's also the reason Gojo trusts her so much, since he has known her from the days of his youth. Gojo however doesn’t trust Mei Mei, its was quite clear in goodwill arc, but for some reason he does acknowledge Mei, and calls her with honorific ‘mei-san’. Mei is a woman who abuses her brother and uses him as part of her technique, she is apparently more respected by Gojo than a genuinely good human like Utahime. I think it’s because of mentality. (Gojo talks about the mental aspect with Megumi, sorcerers’ mentality plays a big role in their technique). Mei was ready to do anything to become strong (so that she can earn more money lol), I think Gojo respects that, whereas I don’t think Utahime prioritises strength before personal connection, which in Gojo’s eyes is weak and stuns her individual growth as sorcerer in his pov.
From her limited manga panels and Databook information, we can make out a few things.
• She is very smart and doesn’t believe in what is told to her without confirming it. When Gojo pointed out about the possibility of mole, she did not believe him without confirming it, when the attack in the event happened was when she acknowledged Gojo. She doesn’t react without enough information, as shown from the past arc with her mission with Mei Mei. I would conclude that her specialty is her smarts and level-headed thinking.
Tumblr media
• She genuinely cares about the well-being of people around her , as shown with her students and how she wants Shoko to quit smoking. Unlike many jujutsu sorcerers, she is not individualist or selfish. Her kindness is also returned as every single one of her students loves her.
Tumblr media
Is Utahime really weak?
A simple answer would be, NO. From this statement of Gege Akutami alone.
Tumblr media
A sorcerer is expected to kill a curse of the grade they are assigned, so Utahime can solo semi-grade 1 curses all by herself.
Tumblr media
If she had no offense at all, she would probably be grade-less like Shoko/Ichiji. Well, she is not. That means she fights, and she fights well. She has quick reflexes from what we have seen with her encounter with the dude with luck CT.
Tumblr media
Also, she was quick enough to react during the attack from Kenjaku. She is working in Kyoto, the capital of the jujutsu world, and she is directly under the noses of higher-ups. The fact that she is a head teacher in Kyoto is itself intriguing, cause it’s not a position just anyone not worthy enough would have been appointed to. Higherups love traditional techniques, as mentioned by Panda during encounter with Haraki and Kirara.
Tumblr media
I believe Utahime’s technique is one that higher-ups would love. They would not put someone with less knowledge or capability as in charge at all. It’s a big thing. She is not just a mere high school teacher. Her position is the same as Gojo in Kyoto.
Her not being grade one is irrelevant cause from what we know there are quite a number of hurdles, and corruption to be one, the promotions are rigged we already know that, Gojo paid Mei Mei to promote his students (they were capable students but that doesn’t mean he didn’t pay to get them the recommendation) plus she is a woman jujutsu world, that’s also a supposed thing that can hold her. She has survived till date is another proof she can hold herself, haibara died early (both him and nanami were unable to deal with a grade 1 curse back in the day, that’s how fast sorcerers die) She is a full fledge sorcerer. She takes missions and is not entirely out of frontlines either if we go by this panel from 0.5.
Tumblr media
Gojo and Utahime contrast each other as individuals.
• Gojo’s relationship with his students is well, decent. He goes out of his way to teach and save strong ones (I can’t imagine him being a good teacher to, say, Momo or Miwa). He sent Inumaki and Panda to get beat up by Geto to piss off Yuta for his powerup, not so great move for a teacher. He recognises their struggles but at the same time doesn’t understand them that well. Save Yuuji and Yuuta, no one really respects him. Whereas Utahime’s students adore and protect her, they band together to solve their problems. They genuinely want the system to change and let their intent know about this during all the vs battels in Goodwill arc. Kyoto kids were really trying Tokyo kids to understand the problems in the system, but all of their common remarks were ‘I don’t care’.
(Well, Gojo sorry to tell you, your students are strong sure, but they don’t have the same goals as you, Utahime’s kids align with your goals more than your own, even though they are not as strong as you would like them to be.)
• Utahime’s CURSED TECHNIQUE was a delight. It can boost anyone within a zone, including herself. How it contrasts with Gojo, you might ask. Gojo is the strongest when he fights alone. Everyone else just drags him down. Whereas Utahime can help even someone like Ichiji cast a powerful barrier. Gojo’s technique literally separates him from the world, but Utahime brings them within her zone.
(I imagine the fellow sorcerers being happy to have Utahime around, since she will make everyone she is fighting with stronger, including herself. She is dragging no one down, and no one is left behind. However, in the case of Gojo, it is explicitly stated that fighting with him means dragging him down. Its almost like people feel weaker with Gojo around, and they get stronger with Utahime around.)
• This brings another contrast, individualism and collectivism. Utahime asks her students to get along, they even fight together, have each other’s back and are even emotionally connected to each other. Gojo tells Megumi that everyone dies alone, he is teaching his students to value individual strengths more.
(I am not saying one is right or wrong because that would be incorrect. The answer lies somewhere in between. Both things are important. Being individually strong will help the kids gain strength to fight others, and working with each other well will help them cover each other’s flaws.)
• Gojo Satoru is an enlightened individual, he has this entire moment where he realises that he is quite literally, factually with no hint of doubt, the strongest man alive. He realises his being after his fight with Toji. Utahime is a miko. A Shrine Maiden is messenger of kami, and were considered shamens back in Nara and Heian Periods of Japan in real life. Both of them are associated with God and something larger than life.
(It is not explicitly stated that Utahime is a Miko, but no one wears miko outfit for fun, it has meaning and history associated with it. Her outfit, the ceremonial Kagura, the usage of bells, gives us a confirmation that she is a miko ig.)
• Their connections with people are also something to look at. I can say for sure Shoko is canonically closer to Utahime than Gojo. She got so worried Utahime didn’t call for two days, Utahime sends her parcels to Shoko, she stopped smoking cause Utahime insisted. Whereas, she didn’t notice Geto going through his downfall, even if she did, she didn’t comment on this. She always stays away from Gojo drama. Utahime is genuinely more loved and is closer to people. Gojo is well, he is alone and lonely above everyone else.
(Again, not to say Gojo and Shoko are not close, Shoko is also one of the people Gojo trusts, but she is closer to Utahime. Gojo’s one of the character traits is the isolation he faces. That’s why the recent Gojo vs. Sukuna fight is not just about Sukuna filling his isolation. It’s also Gojo who finally found his truest equal.)
Utahime is everything Gojo is not and vice-versa. Gojo can do a lot of things others can, even use RCT, but if there is one thing that he absolutely can’t do, is what Utahime can(making others stronger). She can't do things Gojo can either. One can not call Utahime weak, just because she can’t do what Gojo can cause Gojo can’t do what Utahime can either.
Tumblr media
The problem with these two is that, even though they have aligned goals, shared values, same path, and a lot of trust in each other. They DON'T respect each other. Utahime doesn’t respect Gojo, neither does Gojo respect Utahime. On paper/ in theory, their team is great if they work together. They complement each other, but Gojo is still stuck in his own head about his isolation. Granted, Utahime can not provide him the satisfaction of equal fight and equal strength, but why does she need to? She can help Gojo achieve goals alongside him with HER skillset. Watching Gojo and Utahime working together was a delight. The 200% hollow purple technique was amazing. But I wish we could have seen them as partners in work.
Overall, I wish more interactions of Utahime with her students if we can get any. Other than that, I am not expecting Utahime to appear again. But if she does, I hope Gege covers her teacher aspect and her investigator aspect more.
Again, be respectful people. I am a jjk fan, and I sometimes like to write analysis. I like to stay far, far away from discourse, so please don't do that here.

🎼chapter: iii. ↻ ◁ II ▷ ↺
each inhale pulls the air like tides, drowning in the depths of existence, struggling to resurface with each exhale
that's what you're currently feeling right now, currently in your tights and leotards you felt cold, freezing even
as the sun dipped down below the horizon it casted a warm, golden glow in the school’s studio windows - it was a complete opposite contrast to how you were currently feeling
your lungs felt like they were being filled with deep ocean water, tormenting you against the warm and soft glow of the sun’s fading light
you kept stretching your body’s limits, feeling as if you weren't precise enough, you weren't elegant enough, you weren't doing it right - your body screamed as the aches started to kick in and you couldn't help but relieve in it
the aches served you the reaction you needed out of your body that you're doing just right, that you're already passed your limits
but no matter how much the aches in your body scream and protest you felt as if it was just never enough, you felt yourself drowning in the ocean of perfection you made yourself - with tears, blood, and sweat you spent so much time to make a single tide of your waves
then it happened, your moves were frantic you could feel your body reaching the climax it restricted you to - and you stopped
you could feel it, you could feel your entire body shaking and giving up on the goals and desires you so badly want to accomplish - it didn't help that you stayed later than everyone and it certainly didn't help how you feel like that extra time in was completely useless
you didn't know how you gotten this obsession of trying to perfect every move of your body, or the obsession of trying to be the best in the room when clearly you weren't
sighing at this, you started walking towards your bag before sitting down right beside it and untying your shoes off - you stared at your feet a couple of seconds before the feeling of pity started to kick in
you had a few bandaids attached to your feet because of accidentally falling or scraping them during practice, even though they can't be helped - you started to pack your things up before walking out of the campus
as you started to walk towards your dorm, you pulled out a cigarette out of your bag before frantically looking for your lighter which you clearly didn't have right now
you sighed the need to stabilize your breathing was making you shake, disappointment filling up your bones you continued to hold onto your cigarette before getting cut off by a voice
“need a light?” you turned around and saw Suguru not in his uniforms anymore, you faced your body towards him before gesturing a smile
“yea actually, got one?” you asked in which Suguru took out his lighter out of his bag before handing it to you, thanking him and covering your cigarette - you lit it up before giving it back
“i didn't know you smoked y/n, is it ‘cause of Shoko?” Suguru said as you took a long inhale, before puffing out the smoke away from him
“not exactly right, she did introduce smoking to me but it was ‘cause i asked her about it in the first place” you said smiling, before taking another inhale again finally feeling grounded after that incident earlier
“you should quit you know, they're bad for you and they might mess up your ballet stuff”
“you'd be surprised how many in our studio smoke, i could probably name the last few who doesn't” you said waving away the smoke, Suguru chuckled at this before gesturing towards a car behind him
“i’m actually heading towards our dorm, want a ride?” he asked, you shook your head no before replying
“thanks but my dorm’s quite near here, you be safe though” you said as you waved him bye and started walking towards your dorm
Tumblr media
“you know, I overheard our teacher earlier mentioning about solo piece - maybe they'll set up audition posters today!” you were currently with shoko in your campus’ studio, you both were resting up for the next set of dance pieces you guys have to practice for
you turned to look at her intrigued in what she was gossiping with you about, before replying “wait really? maybe when we're done they'll tell us”
“exactly, the new piece will probably give you a lot of exposure since it'll be a solo” Shoko exclaimed, clearly showing you optimism that you should definitely audition for that role, you widen your eyes before gesturing a smiling towards her
“I don't know if I'll be able to actually get it though, but I will definitely try!” Shoko beamed at this before nodding at you - you were excited, even ecstatic, but then a dark cloud began to overshadow your thoughts
if i fail to grasp this, can i still recover from this disappointment? how will i be able to regain my composure and move on?
tides and waves, powerful and relentless, began to pull you under, threatening to drown you - you were struggling to breath, your body trembled, consumed by one singular thought
‘i need a smoke’
standing outside the campus building, leaning against a wall amidst turmoil and thoughts, you feel calm and peace
the feeling of drowning is long gone once you fill your lungs with another type of waves and air, your mind and body finally one again
you don't see a single dark tide clouding your eyes, no aches haunting you from the aftermath of your doings, no feet hurting from constantly being on your tippy toes
you take one long inhale before exhaling a shaky breath of smoke, feeling your eyes start to see the world a lot more clearly
in the simple act of smoking, you find a brief escape from the chaos around you. The inhale, the exhale—the smoke's rhythm mirrors your own emotions, offering a short break from the turmoil within
amidst the quiet interlude, you allow yourself to simply exist, to be present in your body and in the moment.
Tumblr media
it happened again, the wooden boards under your feet felt unfamiliar - your body felt stiff as a board and the aches in your body worsen overtime
you had bad days of course, everyone has, but why was this day so different from the rest? why were you currently looking at your bleeding feet and broken nails? the sight gave you a bitter taste every time you swallow, it felt like your own body was punishing you for all of these
for suddenly tripping over your spin, suddenly slipping during your leap, and not stretching or bending your body enough - it was just not your day at all
you sighed for the nth time this day, you were currently outside the campus building - sitting in a picnic table behind a big oak tree, smoke littered around the air and you felt your shoulder tenser than usual
you wanted to take another smoke break after a painful practice, but you suddenly felt all too aware of the pain in your feet and was shocked to see your feet bleeding
quickly disposing the cigarette, you started to rummage your bag looking for your bandage you always held onto - you've never had a serious injury before hence why the bandage was never opened until now
you didn't have any first aid kit equipment with you, so you decided it would be best to hide the injury from the open air and from getting any more damage than as it is
“why does it smell like smoke back here?” you almost jumped out of your seat, turning to look at the source that frighted you
“Gojo?” you titled an eyebrow at him, he was wearing what you would guess the extra pants and shirt he brought for after practices, sweatpants and a shirt that was showing his collarbones too much - on his arm was his bag that wasn't even properly zipped closed
“hey, i was on my way to see Shoko and stumbled upon you here! but man does seniors really use this hidden area as their smoke corner - the smell is burning my nose” Satoru said covering his nose with his other unoccupied hand, before rolling his eyes
“anyways, what are you doing here?” he added, approaching you before sitting down besides you in a respectable distance away
you turned back to your injured leg before facing him again “trying to bandage up my leg, also i was actually the one smoking my bad” you replied, tying together the last strands of the bandage
“you smoke?” was all he asked before wearing your shoes back on, you nodded at him before throwing your head back staring at the tree covering you from the sun’s light
“yea, actually i do… you gotta do something with the remaining adrenaline somehow” closing your eyes as you felt the smooth breeze brush pass you so tenderly, it almost felt like you were high
“you sound like a drug addict worn-out artist” Satoru stated, making you turn to him before chuckling at the annoyed face he was making
“i’m offended but that made me laugh, so you're forgiven” you cooed at him gesturing a smile, although his expression didn't change it made him look somewhat funnier
“making you offended was my only intentions, seriously I can't even stand the smell” he said waving his hand around trying to swat away the remainings of the smoke,
“why not do something more bearable like eating candies or drinking some energy drink?” he added, you shook your head indicating ‘no’ before replying
“smoking’s the only thing that has been working so far for me, but i only do it when practice’s been hell” Satoru nodded at this before placing placing his hand under his chin, displaying a thinking look
“like when your feet’s all bandaged up and shit?” he asked, you nodded at him before noticing his lips forming a pout
“did you at least treat it properly? it’s starting to bleed through it you know” you widen your eyes at this before looking down and noticing he was right, you didn't even noticed it
“i was planning to treat them once i got home, I don't have anything to take care of it right now” Satoru rolled his eyes before searching through his bag, and pulling out a betadine ointment and some cotton balls - shocked at this you looked at Satoru before asking
“why do you have these?” he scowled at you before placing you feet on top of his lap, making you face him
“athletes tend to get wounds and scars, hence why i bring these - i normally don't get them but Suguru always does” he replied, before untying your bandage off - once he saw the sight he grimaced and hissed through his teeth displaying a hurt expression
“you got beat up real bad, and you were waiting to get home to fix this?” he turned to look at you annoyed, you smiled at him in return before nodding
“the nurse’s office was a building away, my dorm’s a lot more close” you commented trying to brighten up Satoru but, unfortunately failing
silence started to engulf you both, as Satoru was directing all his focus on your open wounds and broken nails trying to be gentle as possible
“next time, when you get hurt try to at least ask someone to help, better yet - ask me” Satoru stared at you, he looked serious yet so gentle at the same time that you didn't know you replied unconsciously, as if agreeing to Satoru Gojo was second nature to you - so easy as if it was breathing
“i will, thank you Gojo”
