Building a healthier relationship with shifting - My experience and advice
If any of this doesn’t resonate, just don’t take it lol.
How do you know you’re obsessing over shifting?
I think it’s when shifting starts to affect your daily life in a negative way.
In my case, shifting used to be the first thing I thought about when I woke up and the last thing I thought about when I went to bed. Throughout the day, I was almost always thinking about my DR or what I could try next to shift. I knew something had to change because shifting didn’t feel enjoyable, it felt like a habit.
Tips & things that worked for me
1. Reflect and be honest about when you tend to obsess over shifting the most
For me, it was when I felt the most anxious. I became honest with myself about my anxiety, which led to me opening up to family about mental health and getting more support from them/ getting outside help if needed. This really lessened my reliance on shifting as a coping mechanism.
2. Embrace your emotions - let yourself feel angry or sad
It sounds simple, but sometimes I make little video diaries talking about how I feel about my shifting journey. I avoid dwelling on it (ex: listening to a bunch of sad music or doom scrolling on shifting social media).
3. Stop looking at shifting as black and white
“I can only shift through the void state/ law of assumption techniques, using xyz method, etc”
Everyone has their theories on shifting, as do I, but at the end of the day, we can not say for sure any method will guarantee a shift. Personally, that kind of thinking led me to a lot of rumination, which was a hard hole to dig myself out of.
4. Reflect on the motivation behind your DRs
I asked myself why I wanted to shift to certain DRs - validation? Exploration? Relationships? After figuring this out, I stopped trying to shift to DRs I don’t actually want to *live* in.
I noticed I used to script DRs where I didn’t seem to grasp the reality of it, and saw it as more of an OC, fanfiction-type thing. Trying to shift to DRs I can ACTUALLY see myself living in helps keep me from excessively daydreaming, and keeps me grounded in the .. well, reality of reality shifting.
Remember, your mental health in this reality should always come first. No one can guarantee if you will wake up in your DR tomorrow, so the best thing we can do for ourselves is keep a healthy balance with shifting.
You can shift, and you can do it in a way that adds to your life, not subtracts from it.

Dr Dream (TVD)
It was very short but, still.
I, (as in Isabella Bennett) was in a zombie apocalypse testing experiment type of thing? (Scientist had locked us up and were testing zombies on us, so it was kind of a mix between the walking dead and the vampire diaries??) ,then a scientist released a zombie onto me and I was fighting it for dear life, but I still ended up getting bit. I remember the zombie biting into my neck and then I got pushed backwards very hard. Damon had done it to save me and take the zombie out. After that he fed me some of his blood and I woke up.

Welcome to my page!
Hello Shiftblr!
I am The Glass wing Pixy, I’m also known as Amaya in my walking dead DR, Ashlye in my GTA DR, Faeryn in my DC universe DR, Estella in my Marvel DR and Cyanide in my Addams family DR!
I have been on my shifting journey for about 3 years now I think. I discovered Shifting on TikTok (I know, probably the worst place to learn about the topic!) and found the whole idea weird to be honest. It interested me though and as a maladaptive daydreamer, I wondered if the two were connected, which they’re not. I’ve joined group chats, read books, followed youtubers and even shared a few TikToks inspired by my journey and the plots of my realities. I am in no way a professional, however I thought it would be fun to share my journey, Maybe we can learn, grow and become shifters together! I would like that very much.
I am a Capricorn sun, Sagittarius moon and Virgo rising. I have been spiritual since long before learning about shifting and also consider myself a Pagan. Shifting is just another piece to my Spiritual journey. Shifting has given me an alternative to very unhealthy habits and thoughts. I struggle a lot with my mental health and don’t have the best quality of life, Shifting gives me the freedom to get a way from all that, have a break from life itself, without making any drastic, permanent decisions.
I look forward to sharing many fun stories with you all, I’d like to share a little bit about myself from each of my scripts and I would absolutely love to meet other shifters and make friends within the community. I’m excited to see where this goes!

deciding whether to shift to these dr’s, we got tvd (I don’t wanna get into all the bad things that could go down I just wanna hangout with Elena and Damon) , mcu( popular dr, I would only wanna be lazy and spend time with Wanda , Nat , maybe even just explore but I’m not into the whole fighting thing) , ahs ( honestly I don’t wanna go there I just want to be with misty day and I don’t want to be in the middle of a murder) the l word (not even shown to be a dr but I love the lesbian drama and it is my comfort show so I would just be chilling), desperate housewives (cause like , another comfort show and it’s pretty cute) , maybe shameless , and a better cr. (OH and degrassi , like that gives me soo many options)

My Forgetful Memory
It’s been a while since I wrote anything on here, 24/08/2022, or thought about shifting in the way that first inspired me. In fact, it’d been so long that I had forgotten why I started shifting at all! 
I’m really excited to start thinking about shifting as a whole again, and I’m especially excited about how far I have come with my mindset! It’s something I have been working on a lot recently, and I feel positively about it! With this “return to my roots” I’m really hoping to be able to improve further! Been trying the wake back to bed lucid dreaming method, I do just what I’m supposed to and I don’t shift I just feel a little out of place and wake up in my cr then I just do my meditations and taking naps kinda activate my shifting experience like I don’t shift but I know I can and naps feel more euphoric idk, idk how y’all be shifting cause I just let go and try and visualize the vibes

So, I've been the alpha of the pack and recreated the pack tumblr for not even 2 days now and assholes are trying to talk shit about the pack already, so here's a post to debunk whatever is being said:
About us:
The First Family pack was created by @lycanthropeborn. She had to step down for now and now I am the alpha of it and @midorra is our beta. The tumblr was deleted so I recreated it. It's not the actual pack, it's like our social media now for the pack and for shifters in the shifting community. We are not people with lycanthropy, we are actual physical shifters. This is a totally different community than those who have clinical lycanthropy or mentally "identify" with someone that's not "human" such as otherkins. We never claimed to be that, that's a whole different thing.
Are yall physical shifters?
Yes, we are physical shifters. I am a mermaid and @midorra is kitsune. We have lycans as well
Why was the pack created?
The pack was created to unite fellow shifters in the community and become "a family pack." The community can be toxic and full of fakes. The pack is like our safe space, we are "family" by the fact we are physical shifters and have been burned by the community
People say yall are "a cult." Why should we believe yall aren't?
Because bro people can come and leave as they please, that's perfectly fine if you don't want to be in the pack- no hard feelings. We don't beat around the bush, we tell the facts how it is because facts dont care about your feelings, and we don't let just anyone join for obvious reasons. The community can be toxic and they like to start crap 🤷‍♀️
How does one join the pack?
You message us, we let you join our discord. There's a waiting period you have to be around for till you can join so you can prove yourself to us that you actually wanna be in it.
