Can we appreciate Sophie for threatening Brant's after he was incredibly violent towards Dex, Grady, and herself? She's thirteen and this man just burned her best friend, fought her father and told her he was going to kill her and the only reason she let him go was to save her friends for being attacked by the Neverseen but not before she threatened him that this wouldn't happen again the next time she saw him. Also, this was one of her kidnappers that she had been having nightmares about and she still stood up to him.
So far she remains unconvinced. 😸 We're still taking it slow- lots of praise and treats, a place to hide, and not staying out for very long! Here I was thinking that she'd bolt outside the first chance she got like my previous cats...Nah, she's 100% a couch potato and a lil bit of a scaredy cat, haha! She does enjoy watching the birds from her backpack, so now we've just got to get her to fully connect that being outside = seeing more birds. 😅
Donna Noble really got in the TARDIS and on trip number ONE like ONLY the FIRST trip she was like we are going to change history to save a single family because that is how it should work so that is how it does and then on trip number TWO on the SECOND trip she was like we are going to destroy an entire culture of slavery because it is right I don't care if we're two people and then on the THIRD trip she was like I am going to be unbelievably brave to save my home and everyone I love and then on the FOURTH trip she was like no living breathing thinking creature is less than a person and how dare you try to dehumanise someone like that how dare you not give her a name and the list GOES ON this woman NEVER MISSED there goes one of the kindest bravest most constant women you might ever meet and she's a temp from Chiswick
Her horrible night hasn't even begun yet, and she's already picking at her fingers ☹️
It just makes you wonder how many countless nights she had to endure this. How many times she was woken up because Viserys desired her, and her being able to do NOTHING about it.
She can't refuse the King; he's her husband. She can't refuse her husband; he's the King.
Alicent has to do her duty, and pleasing the King IS her duty.
Even though he mocked her in the Godswood in front of Daemon and Rhaenyra. Even though he laughed in her face. Even though he consistently demonstrates that he thinks less and less of her with each passing day.
Alicent Hightower—despite the late hour, despite the mockery, and despite her dissociating during the act—goes to the King and does her duty.
