Rememeber when Inej tricked Kaz into climbing onto a chapel roof with her in Crooked Kingdom and he his response is “curse you and all your saints.” And then he smiles to himself without realizing it. SMILES? TO HIMSELF? What a loser. So whipped he’s out there thinking about how Inej outsmarted and smiling about it? The bastard of the barrel?? missing the feel of the earlier kotlc books: all the characters having time on their arcs, the random notes that would be followed with a cute little quest, dex and biana being sophie’s close friends and all of them actually spending time together, the suspense of betrayal and the mystery of pyrokinesis all building up, the black swan not being central characters and instead hiding ominously behind the shadows, not knowing the full reaches of the neverseen.

Okay, so, recently was my birthday and I wanted to post something about renegades birthday-related:

Adrian makes Nova’s birthday a big deal

Nova acts like she doesn’t care about it but she’s actually at the border of tears bc the anarchists just said happy birthday and then kept the day like normal

Adrian does a party at his place but surprises Nova in her apartment with flowers and gifts

On Adrian’s birthday Nova makes him breakfast and sings happy birthday to him to wake him up

Adrian likes chocolate cake better than vanilla, he says that vanilla doesn’t have any taste (I agree)

Oscar doesn’t let anyone get near the sweet table (ik that’s not what it’s called probably but English is not my first language)

Ruby dresses Nova up for her party

Nova refuses a good 5 times

They make a huge entrance for Nova and Adrian tears up when he sees her

That’s all, I’ll probably make more
