batgirl 2000 reread pt 2!!!

Back 2 batgirl..Cass has to have some of the worst daddy issues in the whole family and that's saying so much like between Bruce and Cain she deserves billions of dollars in compensation for all the all the way fucked up and over shit they put her through that she doesn't even have the capacity to work through yet

also this little interaction made me smile, average bat conversation

obsessed w how they integrate cass into the Bruce wayne: murderer storyline. We're operating fully from cass's perspective here and the whole thing is formatted like any other case she's taken on. we get exposition as cass investigates but there's a feeling of uneasiness as she paces the manor. she fully doesn't know who this guy is but we do. we do.

truly one of the most iconic ways anyones ever figured out his identity. she knows him so deeply that she's able to recognize the pure unbridled determination and fury in his eyes just from a picture

Cassandra cain truly stays unmatched, the "I'll kill you" "not tonight" panel hits just as hard as when I first read it. I need a physical copy of this shit NEOWWW. also cass's ability to recognize that Shiva is just as suicidal as she is, that in fighting each other their both fulfilling the others death wish..like we know she isn't going to kill her from the start but it makes the decision all the more powerful

THIS^^^^^^ is so, it's such a good way of broadcasting cass's insecurities and emotions to the audience. unlike a lot of characters cass rarely ever says what she's feeling, even when asked she'll often lie. it's either that or a lack of self awareness/means of communication when it comes to her own emotions. BUT this also shows that cass is aware of the complex interpersonal dynamics and drama around her. Usually these things are just implied like when Cass wordlessly punches the shit out of dick for making babs cry, but this is one of the first times in the comic where these things that cass had been feeling and hearing are told instead of shown [which is pretty 50/50 considering the kinda jarring writer switch but I think this specifically was a cool choice]

Cass has a tendency to avoid emotional topics centered around her all together but at the climax of this arc she's forced to confront very conflicting views of her identity, social pressures, and her own insecurities.

this part got to me BAD

Cass's pure and utter devastation in response to Bruce attempting to fire her (I say attempt bcs that shit barely lasted a day) is so gutwrenching. batgirl was the first name she ever had, the first identity as a human being she'd ever had. Not to mention her suicidal-perfectionism. For Batman of all people to say those things to her, not only does she not have anything outside of batgirl (partially BECAUSE of him) but she's literally as close to perfect as it gets, matter a fact bruce literally calls her perfect. To be accused of jeopardizing the mission, despite that she might be the only person who values it just as much as bruce does..No wonder she shatters into a billion pieces when he does that to her. she has nothing else to be if she's not batgirl.

♡ Miriel is unlikely to notice that your jealous, while she is delusional and will think of everything as a sign of your love for her, she would likely just think you dislike the person in question mostly because she doesn't understand why you would get jealous in the first place since her devotion to you and only you is pretty clear. Plus she doesn't really notice people taking an interest in her since in her mind people are mostly only interested in their mates so why would anyone besides her mate be interested in her. She has no desire to cause a misunderstanding between her and her mate and while she can be mean, she's always very direct with everything, even carefully explaining why she is acting the way that she does. She would most likely have to hurt or even kill whoever was causing you to feel jealous because she just can't have them creating a rift in her relationship. She does somewhat enjoy knowing you care about her enough to feel jealous but as someone who is naturally extremely jealous, more so than any of the other city yans, she knows how bad the jealously feels and she would hope that you'd also do anything to put an end to her having to feel jealous though obviously she doesn't expect you to kill people. ♡

♡ Kassien just wants the misunderstanding to resolve quickly and she'll even let you see how badly she butchered the person in question so you can fully be aware of how loyal she is to only you. Now please show her that same loyalty back and never speak to anyone again since now you know how bad it feels, okay? She might have to punish you if you won't put her mind at ease. ♡

Honestly what were you thinking being jealous when your girlfriend was already itching for a chance to kill anyone and now she had the perfect excuse. You couldn't really bring yourself to feel bad for the person though considering they had made the conscious choice to flirt with a demon who was clearly mated. Kassien made it clear in every conversation she ever had that she was devoted solely to you and would not stand for anything less from you as well.

This certainly did set a scary precedent for your relationship though since now she knew you cared and she'd expect much more from you in the future. At first she thought you were sweet and needed to be protected from seeing her violent acts but now she can see that you're just as jealous as her, isn't that right sweetness? So you should have no qualms about her eliminating every single problem standing in your way, why you'd probably even thank her once she showed you everything she's done for you both. She just doesn't understand why you aren't thrilled to see the head of the person who flirted with her.

♡ She is delighted, you've made her more happy than she ever thought was capable of feeling in her immortality. It happened too quickly for her to properly realize what was going on. Of course had she realized she would have turned the guy down but before she could even process what the guy had said to her, you'd flung out of your seat and hit him square in the jaw. You tossed some money on the table quickly, though normally she would have liked to pay she didn't argue with you, and grabbed her hand to leave the restaurant at once. It wasn't an uncommon sight in the city but what was uncommon was seeing it happen when you both were humans and not supernaturals, still no one bothered to say anything.

Okiii ur girl spent most of last night trying to figure some things out and draw some diagrams fr

This post focuses on the reproductive anatomy of my omegaverse. I'm gonna go through each of the 6 gender/dynamic combinations and give a little info about how I think it all works :> like everything else this varies from person to person so if this isn't ur thing no worries! If this is ur thing feel free to use it! But if you use my diagrams I'd appreciate it if you credited me be i spent a long time on them 😔

I also want to link this very in depth explanation because I did take a lot of inspiration from it for my male omegas! I adore this concept for them and I'll be using it going forward. The author talks about a lot more tho some of which imma steal some of which Im not :))

Okay lets get into it fr, be warned there are my messy diagrams of all kinds of private bits under the cut. Also if tumblr kills the quality im so sorry fr :((

Male Alpha

🌕 Let's start with our boys here.

🌕 Honestly they're pretty straightforward! There's not too many crazy anatomy changes here. They function pretty much the same as irl amab anatomy does.

🌕 They have a penis and external testes

🌕 They have a prostrate that can be stimulated via anal penetration

🌕 Male alphas tend to be on the bigger side concerning length/girth but this varies from person to person

🌕 Now, the defining characteristic of a male alpha is their knot. Only alphas have a knot!

🌕 The knot is soft tissue that expands during orgasm. This "locks" the penis into the vagina in order to facilitate conception. In simple terms, sperm stuck inside better change pregananant

🌕 The knot typically stays expanded for about 20min after orgasm, but this can vary. Any longer than an hour though, can be cause for concern

🌕 I've always liked the idea of a female alpha having a hidden penis best. One that's concealed where the clit ought to be but expands and pops out during rut or when aroused. I like this one best bc I'm not a super big fan of the anatomy set up of having a vulva and dick and balls all at once, and anatomically I never understood like... the concept of the clit swells a lil and thats the knot bc... penetrate how?? I also just don't like pregnant female alphas much! To me alphas impregnate only not carry

🌕 But once I started drawing out the diagram I immediately had problems placing the sheathed penis inside the body

🌕 My biggest issues were the bladder and pubic bone. The bladder I can move around easy enough, especially since female and male anatomy have it in slightly different positions anyway

🌕 But what was fucking me up was that damn bone

🌕 If we want to replace the clit with a penis the penis is going to need to run straight through that bone. The pubic bone in female anatomy sits right above the clit basically. In male anatomy its a tad higher up but even moving it up it would still be in the way of the penis

🌕 I could continue to move the bone or do away with it but then we compromise the human shape of the female alpha. The rest of the dynamics would look human in the hips and pelvis but female alpha she'd be.. little fucked up. Not to mention I'm sure there's some other wild medical consequence of removing or moving the pubic bone that I'm not aware of

🌕 So... we can't put the sheathed penis exactly where the clit is

🌕 I could put it where the vagina is, but then that eliminates the vagina entirely and makes female alphas unable to have penetrative sex and tbh I'm not into that give her a gspot yk?

🌕 I could move the urethra around, like push it forward towards the clit even more and push the vaginal opening backwards, or even combine the vagina and anus like the male omega but I wasn't a fan of that either. It makes her feel to male omega-y and less unique to me

🌕 The penis head is a little above where a clit would sit but I still removed the clit from her anatomy

🌕 To avoid the bone I had to put the penis above it. This isn't super crazy since the vans deferens also comes down over the bone, but it is a little awkward because this isn't a little tube this is a PENIS. This is a whole long cord of tissue and blood vessels here and I'm not giving her a small flat cock to compensate she doesn't deserve that

🌕 So, her muscle, fat, skin, and what have you is gonna have to push out to make room for the penis sitting above the bone.

Unlike the outer and inner labia around the vagina, these ones stiffen and lock up during arousal after the penis has been unleashed. This keeps it out and helps it stand!

🌕 I also gave her a middle labia. This is an extremely tough piece of muscle that separates her upper and lower sets of lips. The middle labia supports our bendy base even more and tends to get engorged and may even expand a little to support the weight of the cock and knot

🌕 This isn't fool proof by ANY means and I'm sure ppl who know anatomy better than me have a million issues rn but yk what? This makes sense to me and took me awhile to figure it out fr so I'm content

🌕 Now... I gave her a uterus-like structure and still called it "uterus" for lack of better term. this is not a functioning uterus so female alphas cannot conceive

🌕 But in this model I have this uterus act more like a muscle that helps push the penis out of the sheath. Believable? Idk but its chill with me

🌕 The female knot is generally a littler smaller than the male knot because it's gotta fit in the body

🌕 The knot here doesn't even begin to expand until the penis is unsheathed, whereas in males it may puff up slightly on initial arousal

🌕 Since I did not give her balls, her testes are inside the body where the ovaries would typically be

🌕 insert the part where I tell you alpha sperm does not need to be cool. It can survive higher temperatures which also makes sense considering omegas practically have heat strokes during heat, the sperm would need to be a little tougher.

🌕 But then why do males have balls? I got u fam ! Bc while they can survive in warmer temperatures that does not mean they thrive there. The healthiest swimmers are still kept a little cooler. Female alphas may be less fertile even because of this which could be some fun plot points bc i love female alphas pls write them more

Male Beta

🌙 The male beta doesn't really have anything super atypical from irl amab bodies.

🌙 The penis of a beta tends to be a lil smaller than an alpha's but bigger than an omegas, but again this isn't always the case!

🌙 We do have a prostate for fun anal times if desired

🌙 Beta sperm is not as heat resistant as alpha sperm. They can impregnate other betas just fine but may struggle with an omega in heat. It's suggested that b/o couples try conceiving outside of heat with the help of fertility experts :>

🌙 Male betas cannot conceive, they have no uterus or vagina

🌙 Betas do not knot!

Female Beta

🌙 Again, not a lot of differences to talk about here, typical afab anatomy

🌙 It is worth noting that in my verse I am not giving female betas periods bc thats mean

🌙 For this reason their endometrium is thinner than ours so the body can reabsorb it without a true heat easier

🌙 I'll also say that beta eggs are just built different for this thinner endometrium

🌙 usually you need a certain thickness for the egg to embed properly to the uterine wall, but imma say that for whatever reason beta eggs are totally chill with a thin lining. They have a better grip or smth ig!

🌙 This allows my girls to get pregnant without an extra added issue due to my silly anatomy choices

🌙 It also makes her different from the female omega which I'll talk about later :))

Male Omega

🌑 Okay ya'll get ready for shitshow number two

🌑 actually the male omega wasn't as bad to figure out mostly bc I stole the idea of the epivagina from the author I linked above the cut!!

🌑 I'll sum up if you don't want to read through the link (you should tho it's really interesting stuff you might wanna use in ur own verse!)

🌑 So like the female alpha there are depictions I don't like when it comes to the male omega. I don't like them not having a uterus and just being... a guy? Like having nothing about them that makes them different than a male beta. Also, like how I said I don't like pregnant alphas, I don't like omegas that can impregnate.

🌑 I'm also not a fan of not giving them a penis and having them only have a vagina and uterus. What makes the two omega genders different then? Breasts? Not a fan tbh considering I like my male omegas to breastfeed with their lil pregnancy boobies (cancer in venus I like boobies and lactation not sorry)

🌑 Basically I want my mpreg and I want my penis too

🌑 So, like the female alpha, we have to give them both parts.

🌑 The epivagina is a strong valve-like muscle kinda like the middle labia in alpha females.

🌑 During non horny times the epivagina remains positioned in a way that closes off the vaginal opening. No penetration without literal tearing can take place with it closed. The anus is open and free for poop!

🌑 During heat and arousal the epivagina switches the other way opening the vagina and closing the anus so the opposite is true

🌑 especially since female omegas tend to release more than one egg a cycle (2-4 is normal) so if we're all embedding we need more room to do it

🌑 A female omega also can reabsorb her endometrium no worries I am not giving her a period either

🌑 Instead I'm going to say that heat has 3 phases. Pre heat where we get ready for ovulation that lasts about 3-4 days, heat heat which lasts about 1-2 days or less. This is when we are fertile we need to get pregnant NOW, and then post heat which lasts about 3 days where our body temperature is still extremely high and we're still horny and feverous but the egg has passed alas. Its during post heat that we reabsorb and break down the endometrium. Sometimes we might see a little blood a lil spotting yk, but for the most part our heat stroke helps us absorb it idc if that's unreasonable its what imma say

🌑 The term heat usually includes heat and post heat but not pre heat (I mean you get off work for heat and post heat and we use the term heat as a collective to include that 5 or so days but this doesn't include the pre heat) but i'll do a different post for heats later !

In my opinion the best outcome is letting Kenny kill Jane (honestly Jane brought that to herself, all of them knew that if he lost someone else he would finally go ballistic and she deliberately put him on that spot to prove "a point") and then staying in Wellington, because Kenny acknowledges that he's not fit enough to care for her and AJ anymore, so he begs Clem to stay. He's aware that he's not right for the job, and he accomplished his mission, he stayed loyal to Lee and left. It also gives the opportunity to speculate whether he finally found peace after all his suffering. (Even if the original idea was him offing himself in the Virginia lake after that)

i always find myself struggling to talk about S2 because i know the writers changed direction (multiple times?) as the season was releasing??? which means character arcs and motivations were altered to fit this new direction and its like painfully obvious sometimes especially when it comes to kenny and jane and luke

i hate when writers cant commit to the bit. and that kind of happens with kenny. which is weird because even tho they decided against him literally being carvers character (which wouldve worked perfectly for a luke v kenny ending), they still try to give him that carver storyline. like.. i could see kenny easily being in carvers position at howes. just like lilly in S4 with the delta. these two characters wanted leadership and never liked any pushback from the people around them. i can also see the kenny we knew from S1 turning into a man like carver in S2 (a dude who has lost a lot and whose methods are becoming more extreme to keep people safe) and i think kenny being carver instead wouldve made carver a much deeper and more interesting antagonist. like carver is fine. he works although his beef with this 11yo is weird. but we dont buy it when bonnie tells us he used to be a cool guy. we've only ever seen carver as a murderer. but if it was kenny in this role then immediately we add a lot of baggage to this character and his relationship with clem and her new relationship with the howes group. like we know kenny and we know what hes capable of but we also understand his motivations and we do believe that deep down kenny does want whats best to keep his people safe. and clem reappearing in the life of THIS kenny wouldve been Huge as he wouldve already begun his descent and clem is the only one who can really get through to him (like they still try to do when all the adults are like "uuuh clem you go talk to the angry man theres no way he'll listen to US"). i think they were afraid of making kenny an outright antagonist though and instead tried to have their cake and eat it too which just kinda...leads to mess... commit to your characters dark spirals and downfalls i hate this wishy washy bullshit. plus having kenny as carver instead wouldve centered clem in the howes discussion more. as it stands she just kinda gets swept up in everyone elses bullshit and just has to go along with it. classic child experience tho

jane pretending that aj was dead to intentionally push kenny over the edge just to "prove" to clem that hes dangerous was SOOOOO unnecessary jane!!! like we know girl!! we know!!! and when he tries to kill her for it its like...i know you saw this coming jane so how did you expect this to end?? was she just hoping she'd win the fight? she even tells clem to stay out of whatever was about to happen (plus she does genuinely put ajs life in real danger by leaving him in that car where they were lucky to hear his cries). but i think this problem stems from them changing it out from being a luke v kenny showdown. i think that ending wouldve culminated more naturally as their beef was slowly building since they first met. disagreement in leadership styles. that silly little middle school "choose who to sit with at dinner" thing felt like foreshadowing of a luke v kenny fight that just never happened. they needed to create a reason for kenny to attack jane as jane doesnt care about leadership she cares about keeping herself safe so the whole aj thing just....feels forced. like... jane why....Why........ where did your self preservation go...its like your whole character...

so...yeah.... i have a lot of conflicting feelings about S2 and its ending. on my recent playthrough i had clem tell kenny that maybe lee Shouldnt have come to save her in S1, trying to be all "boo hoo im so sad i get everyone i love killed boo hoo" and kenny responds by saying he should SMACK her for that???? i was so shocked that i missed taking the screenshot of it. i gasped audibly... turned into a "matter of time" situation for me (even tho things seem fine enough in the S3 flashbacks hes weirdly normal again and still talking about boats). kenny is definitely a broken man hanging on by a Singular Thread by the end of S2 and jane snaps it. this is why i like leaving kenny behind at wellington. clem and aj are definitely the light of his life at this point and he wants whats best for them. leaving them at wellington is really the best thing he can do for them both and its very sad because we know he Needs them. and clem would want to hold onto whoever she has left so its hard for her too. throughout all the seasons clem and aj are seen as the light in the darkness the hope for the future yadda yadda and kenny losing that? yeah i can see why the virginia lake idea was a thing. but thats ALSO why i like the clem shoots kenny ending. this man just wants it to be over he misses his family so much he cant take this shit anymore. staying with kenny into S3 really feels like we're stretching out his character as far as possible. it kinda feels like they hit the reset button on him and hes back to talking about boats. i feel like post S2 they just didnt really know what to do with him or jane. i feel like their endings in S2 are the most narratively fulfilling for their characters and i want clem to enter S3 on her own

Quogan with kids - Imagine how panicked/ridiculous Logan would be as Quinn’s water breaks and he has to drive her to the hospital. Or him holding her hand during labor and through the contractions.

I believe Logan would be overly attentive with Quinn's pregnancy, I think I mentioned before him buying whatever craving she has in bulks and make their friends/family rehearse what they have to do for the "big day" (yes, I am referencing Floricienta jajajja), but Quinn isn't far behind him.

I have some more headcanons for Quinn's pregnancy (I also have for them as parents, but then this post would be too long, so I'll leave that for another asks I got about the subject), remember this is settled in my Rebuilding PCA AU.

Finding out, to first Eco:

Despite having everything planned out, even when they were going to have children, the first baby came as a surprise.

I headcanon she took a test on her job. She had her suspicion about her symptoms, and had a doctor appointment in a few days, but she was too impatient to wait so she bought three pregnancy test (just to be sure) and took them on her job's bathroom.

But unexpected doesn't mean unwelcome. Quinn was very happy when she found out, definitely cried when she saw the two pink lines.

The thought of little baby, a mix of both her and Logan overwhelmed her with joy, unable to even worry if that might compromise her work at the moment.

Though she did think of it on her way home, she felt optimist. She acknowledge to herself that it will be hard and it will require more of her usual effort and focus, but she's Quinn Pensky-Reese! She's the mind of her generation, if anyone can handle an inventor's job, a school rebuilding and a pregnancy, that's her!

As soon as she got home, she went into her study and started organizing her schedule for the next months, in case the doctor confirmed it. Just to save time, time she would need later one, after all.

there was even more crying when the doctor told her that, yes, she was in fact pregnant. They settle a date for the first ecography.

Logan was the first one to know, of course. But Quinn waited until she had a doctor's confirmation before telling him, worried she'd get his hopes up only to end both disappointed.

I imagine she prepared a nice surprise dinner. He entered their home and found her waiting besides a candle lit table with his favorite dish. His first thought was wondering if he -somehow- forgot any important date, he even thinks "is it my birthday?".

But she reassured him before he even ask that she just wanted to surprise him. He notices she seems happier than usual, assuming she's about to tell him some really good news, (they know each other so well!!), tho he thinks it's probably related to the school renovation.

Her excitement took over and she couldn't wait until the end of the dinner, much to his relief because his curiosity was killing him.

She hands him a little gift box, and watches as his face changes, he goes from confusion as he opens it and takes a cute tiny PCA onesie, to realization. (note: the baby will be wearing that at some point, when Logan takes them to PCA, to show them the campus *cries*)

His eyes widens and he struggles to form words because he can't close his mouth. He's absolutely shocked.

Logan: "are you saying... we're having a baby?" and Quinn just nods excitedly, she also can't talk because she's already teary eyes.

Logan runs to hug her side, lifting her and spinning her around, so happy the protective dad mode hadn't kicked on yet lol.

He wants to tell everyone immediately, but she tells him it would be better to wait for the first eco, which would be after her first trimestre is completed, and explains to him all about those things (because you know she researched before the doctor appointment and also filled the doctor with questions lol)

He listens attentively because he wants to be aware about everything related to their little bundle of joy.

They're so annoying at the hospital for the eco, but the doctor is incredibly patient (bless them), despite them spilling question after question.

Quinn's scientific curiosity is in full swing as she bombards the ultrasound technician with a million questions about the technology and procedure.

Thankfully for the doctor, they shut up as soon as their baby shows up on the screen, as well as the first time they hear their heartbeat.

(little angsty headcanon: they were both terrified of not hearing a heartbeat, it made them anxious and afraid, they're first time parents after all, they're fucking scared *cries intensifies*)

As the doctor shows them the baby's hands and feet and nose and all that, Logan makes comments like "they're gonna have your nose!" or "oh, you're gonna be a such a heartbreaker, just like your dad"

He mostly tries to make Quinn laugh, and to ease both of their nervous.

The doctor asks if they want to know the gender of the bay, but they decide to save that for the baby shower, so they get it written down in an envelopment instead.

The technician offers to print out a few ultrasound pictures for them, where the gender of their baby could not be visible (already sensing these two would spend a lot of time looking at them and Quinn would definitely figure it out). Quinn practically squeals with delight, already envisioning how she'll document and cherish these precious snapshots. Logan grins, imagining himself showing off the pictures to anyone who will listen, beaming with pride.

As they leave the doctor's office, Quinn can't help but walk a little lighter, her hand resting protectively over her growing belly. Logan wraps an arm around her, pulling her close, his protective mode also activating on that moment

On the way home, they can't resist the urge to stop at a baby store. They fill the car with stuffed animals, and nursery decorations. They also pick out a few gender-neutral outfits, happily imagining their little one wearing them.

When they get home (after Logan settled all the heavy stuff they brought inside their home, because he's not letting her carry anything heavy ever again), they sit in the coach and spread the ultrasound pictures on the coffee table, looking at them and pointing little details they notice about their baby.

Announcement:

After indulging on this little moment, they finally call their friends and family to let them know the news. First their parents (Lyric was in the same room as Logan's parents, so she found out at the same time)

Their parent's are overjoyed, it's going to be the first grandchild in both families, with Quinn being an only child and Logan the first of Malcolm's children to be a parent (I'm still not sure Logan's older brother exist, but either way, first grandkid bc I say so), and at the end of the calls they promise to set a dinner to celebrate this news soon.

When Lyric hears the news, she raises an eyebrow and gives a nonchalant shrug, trying to maintain her composure. Deep down, however, she can't help but feel a surge of excitement and anticipation. She may not show it openly, but Lyric secretly starts researching the best auntie gifts and cool, trendy baby clothes. She's determined to be the "chillest" aunt, effortlessly blending her coolness with her newfound role.

Of their friends, the first to know were Lola and Michael, argue with the wall.

Lola squeals at the news, already declaring herself the best aunt this baby would have (Lyric would disagree if she was there, but whatever), she cracks a few jokes at Logan's expenses probably, I imagine their friendship still has that banter, like they pretend they still dislike each other. Something like, "I'm sure your baby will have enough of you to make up for the parts it gets from Logan" (english is failing me lol, but you get it), and tells them she would host the baby shower. Organizing event is still not much her thing, but she's too excited.

Michael is over the moon, and tells them he'd gladly conduct their baby shower, and tells them he already thought of baby names ideas. They tell them Lola already offered and he says he'll call her to let her help (Lola would probably let him do most of the job lol)

I just know this news would give Zoey and Chase another age/relationship crisis, but let's not focus on that for this. They're happy for their friends. They also offer to help with the baby shower, but Logan is quick to reject them lol. Though Quinn explains Michael and Lola are already on that, so they don't feel bad.

Pregnant Quinn:

Quinn becomes a walking encyclopedia during her pregnancy. She dives deep into researching every stage of fetal development and reads every book on pregnancy she can get her hands on. She's determined to understand every aspect of what's happening to her body and her growing baby.

Quinn's scientific mind goes into overdrive as she starts experimenting with various homemade remedies and concoctions to alleviate pregnancy symptoms

She creates her own natural remedies for morning sickness, swollen feet, and stuff, much to the amusement and amazement of her friends.

I like to keep a bit of the ridiculousness from the show into this, so I hc Quinn's pregnancy hormones send her emotions on a rollercoaster ride. She goes from crying over commercials to laughing uncontrollably at the slightest joke. Her friends and Logan learn to navigate this emotional whirlwind, providing comfort and support whenever she needs it.

Quinn's genius mind starts coming up with innovative inventions specifically designed for pregnancy. She designs a pillow that perfectly supports her growing belly while she sleeps, a wearable device that tracks fetal movements, and even a smart app that monitors her baby's health.

Her pregnancy cravings are a mix of the expected and the totally unexpected. One day, she craves pickles and ice cream, and the next, she insists on eating spaghetti with hot sauce and gummy worms.

As her due date approaches, Quinn becomes hyper-organized. She starts prepping freezer meals, organizing the nursery down to the tiniest detail, and even creating a hospital bag checklist for both her and Logan. She wants everything to be perfectly in place for their baby's arrival.

I like to thinks Quinn's love for science extends to documenting her pregnancy journey. She takes weekly belly pictures, meticulously tracks her weight gain, and even keeps a journal where she writes letters to her unborn baby. While she is treating it like a study, she also wants to capture every precious moment and memory for their little one to look back on.

Quinn's intelligence and curiosity lead her to attend every prenatal class their schedule allows, along with Logan ofc. She becomes the star student, asking insightful questions and even offering her own scientific explanations for certain topics. She kinda annoys the other parents on the classes, but the dirty look Logan gives the when they try to say something shuts them up.

Despite her scientific approach to pregnancy, Quinn also embraces the magical and emotional side of it all. She loves feeling her baby's kicks and hiccups, cherishes every ultrasound appointment, and eagerly awaits the moment she can hold her little one in her arms.

She loves talking to her baby, telling them about how their little body is developing and what awaits them and stuff.

She hopes their little one is a science fan like her, so she also tells them of science in general, specially while she works on her quinnventions, explaining the process to her belly.

No matter how many research she went through, the birth terrifies her, truth be told. She's a first time mother after all, how could she not. The thoughts of all the things that could go wrong filling her mind.

But she endures it, holding tight to Logan's hand. She keeps pushing and pushing until they finally hear the baby's cry.

All the pain and fear melting away the moment he baby is placed in her arms, she cries happily as she caresses their cheeks and coos at them, calming the babies' crying.

the sobbing doesn't stop even when the baby calms down and the doctors take them away to clean them and weight them, neither her or Logan taking their eyes off their child, even when he leans down to kiss her forehead, whispering sweet words at her.

Daddy-to-be Logan:

From the moment Quinn tells Logan she's pregnant, he can't contain his excitement. He starts researching everything about pregnancy and parenting, creating boards filled with nursery ideas, baby names, and parenting hacks.

He creates an elaborate color-coded pregnancy planner. It includes doctor's appointments, prenatal classes, and even a detailed birth plan. He wants everything to be perfectly planned and scheduled for the arrival of their little one.

He takes it upon himself to fulfill every single one of her cravings. He becomes her "master chef", whipping up all sorts of weird food combinations she asks for, even if it means making a peanut butter and pickle sandwich at 3 a.m.

Logan insists on attending every doctor's appointment with Quinn, taking copious notes and asking the doctor a million questions. He's determined to be the most involved and informed dad ever.

As Quinn's baby bump grows, Logan becomes the ultimate protector. He's constantly fretting over her well-being, making sure she doesn't lift heavy objects, and even wrapping her in bubble wrap (metaphorically) to ensure nothing happens to their little one.

Logan starts talking to Quinn's baby bump, telling stories, singing lullabies, and even playing his favorite songs. He's convinced the baby can hear him and wants to establish a bond before they even arrive.

But he does not neglects Quinn, he pays just as much attention to her.

When it comes to baby shopping, Logan goes all out. He insists on buying the most comfy and safe stroller, the comfiest crib, and the cutest baby clothes. He spends hours meticulously researching and comparing products, determined to provide the best for his little family.

Logan becomes a master at assembling baby furniture... after many fails. He spends countless afternoons putting together the crib until he figures out how that thing works, changing tables, and rocking chairs. He'd usually hire someone to do the job for him, but he wanted to do this himself, no matter how frustrating it became, it was worth it.

As Quinn's due date approaches, Logan becomes a nervous wreck. He's constantly checking his phone, ready to rush to the hospital at a moment's notice. He even has a fully packed hospital bag prepared for both Quinn and himself, complete with snacks, a change of clothes, and a camera to capture every moment.

When the day finally arrives, Logan is a ball of nerves and excitement. He paces the hospital waiting room, wearing a path into the floor, until finally, he gets the news that Quinn is in labor.

He practically sprints to her side, holding her hand and whispering words of encouragement throughout the whole process.

And when their little bundle of joy finally enters the world, Logan's heart swells with love and pride. He can't help but cry tears of joy, overwhelmed with emotions as he holds his baby for the first time, promising to be the best dad they could ever ask for.

It's definitely the happiest day of their life, and once home, they can hardly take their eyes off their baby, so thankful to have them there, unable to contain the infinite amount of love their feel for them.

Missy really love music in general, she mastered piano and different other instrument and she just adore when you sit with her and play a part of piano in duo. It always make her smile.

Beauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?

Missy honestly love everything about you, she's not the type to be picky on these things but if she had to choose, she'd probably say she love yours lips better. The time lady just like to kiss them so much and think they fit perfect with hers.

Comfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?

Your mistress would do everything she can to help you feel better and calm yourself, she would sit with you and take you in her arm, kiss your skin murmuring reconforting things in your ears. Missy would make sure to stay the closes she could to you when your in this state, because she is herself stress and anxious when it happen and she just want to make sure your ok.

Date - What was the first date with them like? What is their go-to date? What is their dream date?

For a first date your time lady would probably bring you to a foreign planet and show you what she have seen during her long life. She'd find a way to make things romantic and to amaze you because common we're talking about Missy here.

Equal - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?

Hummmm...I don't even know how it can be a question the woman's name is literally the diminutif of mistress and she call herself mommy soo of course she's dominant with you and theirs no way she's going to do concessions.

Fight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?

Missy isn't the type to keep grudge for something you say or else if you tell her the truth and apologize. Of course I'm not saying she wouldn't maybe...punish you for thinking you could go against what she sayed or argue with her but yea she'll forgive you don't worry.

Gratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?

The time lady knows how much you changed her and she's gratefull for it she think that she is becoming a better person because she's with you. She still kill people but only when it's absolutely require and she feel less guilty about it now that she knows it wasn't a choice she make. Missy often thanks you for being with you and not judging her for her past.

Honesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?

With you, she would say anything, your her confident and partner and she knows not to keep things from you. To the others tho...it's an other thing.

I love you - How fast does she pronounce these tree words to you?

It took time, she had to trust you and come to know you better and be absolutely sure that if she sayed them it was for real and genuine. However, when she sayed it the first time, it was the bigining of a praised she always says and make sure ton bestowed to you every time she can.

Jealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?

Well remember when I said she wasn't killing except if absolutely necessary, well seing someone looking at what is hers or touching her little pet is a offence that she judge worth killing for. By the way be sure she will make it really painfully for the person in question that thought it was a good idea to try and steal you from her.

Kiss - What was the first kiss like?

Missy doesn't know what a gentle and calm means, everything she does is full of intensity and your first kiss wasn't an exception. The time lady kissed you breathless and she insert her tongue in your mouth craving to taste you and feel you as much as possible. You honestly didn't mind her passion, and still doesn't you love her for it.

Love Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?

Well, the brunette wouldn't go by many different ways, she would go straight to the point and just tell you she have feeling for you, that she love you. It would obviously be the beginning of really passionate event.

Marriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose?

Missy isn't opposed to marriege, she actually quite like the idea of an other way of showing to others that you belong to her. She would just be happy to be united with you by holy matrimony even if it's a human tradition and would be quite excited for the honey moon.

Your mistress just loveeee to call you by cute name, she have her favorite of course like "pet" "baby girl" "little love" " "sweetheart" but theirs many others. They always successfully make you blush.

Obsessed - How obsessed are they of their s/o?

Hum, she's quite abscesses yes, she doesn't like when you are not in sight and worries about you when she can't protect you, she thing about you always and is quite addict to your body even if she would say so herself.

PDA - Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag about their s/o in front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?

Oh god yes, Missy is what you can call an exhibitionist of what she possess, and well it includes you. She adore to kiss you, touch you, even sometime go has far has fuck you in public places when she really is desperate.

Quirk - Some random ability they have that’s beneficial in a relationship.

Well her mind reading abilities is really usefull sometimes when you feel down and don't want to talk about it. She just have to take a peek into your kind and give you exactly what you need to feel better, it's generally her attention.

Romance - How romantic are they? What would they do to make their s/o happy? Cliché or rather creative?

Of course she's creative Missy is a time lord as old as doctor who, she have seen many things in her life and she would obviously do pretty much everything in her power to make you happy, whatever it takes. She's not he biggest of romantic but if she knows you like to get gift and attention including romantic gesture she would be happy to oblige.

Support - Are they helping their s/o achieve their goals? Do they believe in them?

Honestly your lady would try to help you the best she can, but if it's a goal related to your mortal life she wouldn't really know how to do so. However she would always be the one to motivate you and encourage you for them.

Thrill - Do they need to try out new things to spice out your relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?

The blue eyes time lady love action, she like when things are spicy and dangerous, so if course she would like change into your relashionship to make it more exciting, however she is not against slow and calm day with routine.

Understanding - How good do they know

their partner? Are they empathetic?

She knows you very well, practically like she had made you, she knows what she need to do and how to act to make you happy and what not to do. She knows your taste, your weakness and she feel very proud that she know the person she loved so much.

Vanity - How concerned are they with their looks?

Missy is realllllyyyy concern of her apparence, she like to look classy and pretty, she love putting makeup all the time and to wear perfume.

Wardrobe - (What would they wear to impress you?)

Your mistress knows that you like her dresses and the way she look in her every day routine, so she just wear her cloths normally, however if she feel like pimwnting things up a little, you wouldn't go against the idea of a leater outfit of sexy garments.

Yearning - How will they cope when they’re missing their partner?

She wouldn't admit it but Missy is not really capable of staying to far away from you. She can't bare really well being separated from you no mather if it's for a day of a week. She's grown so used to being with you all the time and she just crave you always. It's even hard for her in public to keep her hands off you.

Zzzz- How are they when they sleep?

When your lover does sleep, she is quite peacefull, surprisingly so because she never is when she is awake. Missy have a really light sleep, she wake up easily and normaly always keep a hold on you, keeping your body close to her in a protective manner. She hate when she wake up and your not in her arms anymore, it makes her mad and she gets upset.

The thing about aerith you just shared is fascinating. If we're going with the theme of " there's nothing I don't cherish" and the complete 180° of Zack's character with aerith in terms of stereotypes of heroism.

With Zack, Cloud cries for a good person. Someone he idolized.

With Aerith, cloud cries for uh not so good person (I'm being generous here). Someone he treated severely most of the time.

But both he was grateful for. Both he cried for. Just like with anything. Like, look at how he described jessie in Rebirth. We know she didn't treat him well but in cloud's perspective he was grateful for her reaching out to him. Giving him materia, inviting him with the gang for pizza. I think once wedge told him that she's just being a prick, he ended up being more relaxed about it. But you know what's up? He doesn't think of her romantically AT ALL. But yes, long story short. He cherishes everything. Good and bad. But there's only one person he'll ever come to be attracted to and in love with. Tifa obviously duh.

But yeah, like you said, she's an awful person who so happens to be one of the "good guys" in the story. If a clumsy guy can be a hero (Cloud), if the perfect hero can be a hero (Zack), if the perfect heroine can be a hero (Tifa), then, the most questionable person can also be a hero (aerith).

Lol the Sibling energy going strong here, if you noticed what I mean 😂.

But overall, It fits. It's a game with the theme of LIFE in it. We meet so many people.

So in short Nojima is challenging us through aerith to see that. Don't lavish her with flowery words nor look at her through rose tinted glasses (puns intended). LOOK AT HER. She's a POS but she got friends who care for her. She may take them for granted A LOT but she will be there to help save the planet they live in. That's one way to look at it.

But Cloti is TOO KIND still lol. So they need better boundaries and standards for friendship.

Also low key aerith reminds me of gollum here. Gollum is ACTUALLY a hero himself. And if Frodo (cloti) didn't let him into their circle, but they did due to their kindness. They will never be able to kill sauron. So Gollum, by sheer greed and all. Bit Frodo's finger, catches the ring and falls with it. So if they never let aerith into the group, welcomed her with open arms, she wouldn't have been able to do her task and see to it as much as she can. Than alone.

That was long but yeah. Sorry to aerith fans since I compared her to gollum. But it has nothing to do with his looks, just the function he has in the story. And HE IS A VERY IMPORTANT CHARACTER.

That's what I think. What's interesting tho is at least Cloud has the interest and self awareness of knowing he doesn't or does but wanting to prove he deserves Tifa. The modernized Yamato Nadeshiko. Meanwhile aerith is the complete opposite. She just believes she's entitled to it regardless. Zack has uh, an interesting type I'd say. It cringes me he's into "city mouse" but notice the animal she's being compared to lmao. Tbh they're kind of the same in one aspect not only their upbeat personality. Zack would never bat an eye on her if she didn't had the same complexity she had with being weird and different. Same with aerith, she'd never care at all. This will never apply to cloud even if he ends up being a soldier, because he wants to be special afterall, he will never understand aerith and zack's insecurities. But Zack doesn't think being a soldier is special, he feels like a monster but still he wants to be a hero.

I mean nobody has any issues with Cait Sith, a literal Shinra spy, being a good guy. Nobody has issues with Vincent, a former turk who probably did a lot of questionable shit, being a good guy.

Cid also worked for Shinra and knew Ifalna and never tried to help her despite seeing her around Hojo's lab, but he's a good guy.

Everybody is a flawed hero, but Aerith's flaws are worse because hers cause harm to her own friends. Everybody else's personality flaws are external in nature and project outward towards other characters who aren't part of their group, but Aerith and Cait Sith's flaws project internally to the group. Cait gets ousted after betraying them and Aerith dies.

It's almost like those harmful to the greater good of the planet are removed from the party. Cait returns with a better attitude in a new robot body, but the one that betrayed them also dies.

i didn't wanna reply over there cus this ended up getting rly long but there's this post by @shitpostingperidot and @marvelsassbutts about carol and maria's GNR concert in 88 and my brainworms got to making up hc after hc now all i think about is how that could've been the first time they got together despite mutually pining and coparenting monica for like 4/5 years or so anywayyy

idk if there's like a screenshot frame of monica's sword file or smth that shows her birthday in exact terms so i might be going on abt nothing here but listen

mcu wiki says she was born around june/october of 1983

it also says carol and maria met in their first year of AF academy "shortly after turning 18", so that's either late 1983 or early 1984, bc carol's birthday is late 65

which means monica was already in the picture by then 🥺🥺

what i'm thinking is maria got pregnant at around 17/18 and her parents took care of monica for the first year or so when she enlisted bc why wouldn't they

but as soon as she lands the test pilot job and starts making bank they're like "i love you so much and i'm very proud of you now here's your child go be her mom"

this is like in their 2nd or 3rd year of flight school so it catches everyone by surprise, and ofc higher ups use it as excuse to subtly and passive-aggressively ground maria on paid vacations and maternity leaves

obviously she sees right through the fake benevolent facade and overcompensates by not only refusing benefits, but taking on even bigger workloads

which then obviously gets her drained and exhausted and ofc carol notices and worries

she's been trying to give maria space through the whole ordeal but there's a line between giving you space and watching you get put through the wringer without doing anything

so she finally corners maria like "hey i know this is fucked up but maybe you could find another way to stick it to them without slowly killing yourself in the process can u pls just give me a call when it's too much to handle i am begging on my knees"

("my best friend, who supported me as a mother and a pilot when no one else did")

maria does slow down a bit but she still hesitates to call for help, until one particular hard night she cracks and carol gets there at flying speed to do chores and dinner and take care of monica while maria (a single mom in her early 20s who is also an overworked test pilot) finally gets some goddamn rest

(after changing monica's diaper tho bc apparently carol can't help with that)

from then on carol pretty much moves in with them

maria starts slowing down and taking care of herself and getting her due leaves and relying more on her parents and friends and she loves monica so much and things are so overwhelmingly good right now...............except for this one small carol shaped situation

they've been roommates before, you see, and maria is very aware she's been in love with this goobster for a minute

but she's also a black single mom in the US air force she really doesn't have to make things harder on herself so she's been trying rly damn hard to keep carol at arm's length for both their sakes

carol too is very aware that she's in love with maria and probably has been since forever (she's not super in touch with her feelings to pinpoint when the gears shifted, plus thinking back on it she can't rmbr a time when she wasn't in love with her yknow)

but "maria has a kid she's straight" (wrong) and also carol is very insecure (canon) so she's afraid of rejection and doesn't wanna ruin the friendship and she'd rather have maria in her life as a friend instead of not at all

even if it breaks her to wake up literally next to the love of her life every single day and not spill her entire heart out

especially bc maria's mask slips sometimes, mostly when she's drunk (even if just a bit tipsy) or when they share a particularly emotional moment (quite often tbf, considering how close to dying the very nature of their job gets them on a regular basis)

fast forward to 1988

carol and maria pretty much live together and monica loves auntie carol to pieces and their hearts are both so close to exploding they might actually die for real at any given moment

now to finally tie back to where this whole thing started: carol brings home tickets to a GNR concert, maria stares at her dead in the eye like "bitch this is 500 miles away" and carol's like "oh..........................road trip? :D"

I'm so curious about your headcanons about Narvi and Vali (and honestly all the Loki's children!).

What do you think their personalities would be? Their likes and dislikes? If their spirits are stuck in the chains with Loki, can they do like their father and be in more than one place? If they are with Hel how is their relationship with their sister?

Alright here are my headcanons for them

•Depending on the AU i headcanon them as 10 or 13 at death.

(10 for the main and ToL AU and 13 for a Narvi went to valhalla AU another anons headcanon gave me inspo for)

I Can't speak on their personalities because i have not developed them enough outside of one AU and only Narvi. (And the circumstances on shaping his personality for that AU are very different then the other ones)

And in ToL AU they are in Helhiem (but for this lets just assume V+N stay in Helhiem after SoTD as well) they have a good relationship with Hel. It was a bit awkward at first because she'd never had kids living in her house (also they tried to fight Baldur but thats a story for a different day) and she didn't quite know what to do with them but they slowly got used to eachother.

And in the Valhalla AU Vali' has the same relationship with Hel but 's relationship with Hel stays the same but Narvi and Hel haven't met in person tho Narvi prays to her alongside Loki and Sigyn regularly

Headcanons for all my AUs (mostly appearance based)

•Vali was born with a forked tongue, Narvi wasn't but the moment he learned to shapeshift he gave himself a forked tongue to be like his twin.

They are fraternal not identical twins. Vali has curly red hair he got from Loki. Narvi has dark brown almost black straight hair he got from Sigyn. Both have amber eyes.

Loki told them that he'd be back in an hour before he went off to kill Baldur...

Yeah we all know how that turned out. I blame this song for this headcanon and the stuck in the chains headcanon. Cus it is such a them song to me

Main AU and (mostly) ToL AU headcanons

•It's kinda hard to explain how Narvi and Vali are when trapped in the chains but basically they are aware and not aware at the same time. Some days they can get a vague feel and visions of whats going on around them and talk to eachother, some days they are in a sleep like state.

(I wasn't thinking of either medias when making that up but it reminds me of the game Amanda the adventurer and the ghost kids from Coraline)

•They can project themselves on the aware days like Loki can but only in dreams and very rarely, and not for very long cus the are/were young

(i have a oneshot of them talking to Samirah through a dream and she is so fucking confused and low-key (ha) scared because she has no clue who they are)

•On the days they are aware they are absolutely enamoured by Magnus and he has no clue of their (continued) existence.

(They think he's just an interesting, funky little guy)

It's unknown if Loki and Sigyn are aware that their sons are basically suffering with them

(in other words I cant decide which one is more angsty)

They got released at the end of Hammer of Thor when the chains were cut. It is unknown what's gonna happen to them after Ship of the Dead since the Aesir are rechaining Loki

(also because I can't tell which one would be angstier)

Valhalla! Narvi AU

Not many headcanons for this one cus its new and based off another Anon's headcanon but:

Narvi and Vali died at 13 but while Vali got put in Helhiem. Narvi got sent to Valhalla.

Narvi was like Alex when she first got to Valhalla but a lot worse...Like alot...and that anger still has not faded after fuck knows how long.

Horror stories and rumours are still told to new Valkyries about him.

One of those rumors is that how no one saw his Valkyrie again after taking him. (This is in reality false. She just quit after he ripped part of her hair out but he continues this rumor for funsies.)

Technically he should be on floor19 like the main gang but got moved on the top floor away from everyone after too many people complained.

He rarely comes out of his room and when he does it is usually an absoulute blood bath. Because he fights like a beast.

Litterally the only person he has tolerated and respects in valhalla is Snorri Sturluson.

why? Because thats the guy who wrote Prose Edda and Narvi is still a thirteen year old boy who loves the idea of being 'famous' and written about even if its about his death.

Is fine with Alex but hates Samirah with a burning passion. Because she's a Valkyrie and he sees that as her being a traitor to their family and won't listen otherwise.

shaking crying screaming gunsmoke!Emmet thinking he did something wrong after his brother (accidentally but he's obv not aware of that) blew his legs off has been emotionally tormenting me all day. just Emmet in the direct aftermath of the July incident bedridden and repeating those last moments with his brother on loop, trying to pinpoint what went wrong and coming to the conclusion that is must have been his fault somehow that pushed Ingo to disappear, change his name, and try to kill him. and then getting Dawn to keep an eye on his brother anyway because he's worried and there's a 60 billion double dollar bounty on his head, and even tho Nobori (seemingly) wants him dead, Emmet doesn't. head in hands. on that note, actually, does Dawn dislike Nobori initially? she's a smart girl, i'm sure she figured there was something between him and Emmet when asked to keep an eye on him, even if she wasn't aware of what it was, and it seems like she'd favor Emmet a bit more initially seeing as his group took her in

hi anon my friend anon. i love this. yeah. yeah. emmet kinda goes into overthinking mode and goes for the worst case scenario to him. that being that his brother hated his guts. you might consider it Incredibly Upsetting to him.

and yeah! he's! emmet is definitely kinda bitter about All That! but he still loves his brother regardless and cares about him. he doesn't want him dead.

as for Dawn! she's. not really sure what to think about Nobori before meeting him. from what little emmet told her about him, there was equal parts bitterness and fondness. the last time ingo and Emmet met was a disaster, but also talks about his positive qualities as well. it's pretty. all over the place.

and then Actually meeting him. it does not take long to warm up to him, yeah, lol. sure there's obviously some beef between the twins from what she'd gathered from emmet. (especially the fact he doesn't wanna hear anything about him unless it's life threatening. which! btw! is why she doesn't tell him about the amnesia when she figures it out lol)

but nobori is so incredibly earnest and genuine. he literally couldn't hurt a fly. (oddly enough, every time she tries to ever so slightly hint at emmet to him, to try and dig for more information, he seems completely oblivious, or even a little confused. far different from what you'd expect from someone with a grudge...)

Do you think Emily and Sera will come to blows in S2? Emily has already proven that she isn't afraid to call her sister and/or mother figure out on her hypocrisy when the Exterminations were revealed and is more in favor of redeeming Sinners than Sera. Sera, for as well-intentioned as she is (at least when compared to her sadistic underlings), doesn't seem willing to change her ways anytime soon due to her belief that Sinners would threaten Heaven if left to grow in power unchecked, a fear that will likely grow stronger with Adam's defeat and the loss of most of her army in the last Extermination. Emily's support of Pentious and any other Sinners seeking redemption is something she'd see as an existential threat to everything she believes in, which might lead to a personal conflict between the Seraphim in Sera's extremist efforts to preserve the status quo and Heaven's power over Hell, especially if she continues to back Lute and the Exorcists.

This is mere speculation on my part and may not happen given Sera's love for Emily, but I find her to be a compelling antagonist that I'd like to see get worse before she gets better.

Thank you for seeing that. I been reading some fics and people just make Sera a bitch just for the sake of it? Like, no. She actually has her reasons. She a bit of an antagonist to our main characters but she not straight up villain or a bitch for no reason. I think there was something that happen in the past for Sera to fear an uprising as much as she is. That there is a legit valid reason she feels and think this way. (However her methods were too extreme)

I somewhat view Sera as head of security who has low key paranoia about the worst case scenarios coming into fruition and reluctantly grasp at desperate means to keep it from happening to keep her charges safe. For what she believes is for the greater good.

Sera main objective is to keep Heaven and its residents safe, which includes, making them feel safe by letting them live in ignorance that there's no threat to Heaven. She also wants them happy which is a task delegated to Emily. Sera foremost concern is safety.

Sera not concern about other logistics. She aware of them but not her objective. She is not concern about redemption. I headcanon different seraphim lead different aspect of Heaven, angels we haven't met yet. Sera department is obviously security.

Things are not looking good for Sera and her department. The long kept secret of exterminations came to light, along with the information of angles can be harmed and killed, her army came back defeated, their general dead. Their general being a huge important figure. THEN a former sinner 'infiltrated' Heaven. All the while, Emily, the second in command of her department beginning show opposition towards her. It's a lot on her plate.

Emily is starting to pull away from Sera. Emily trying to persuade Sera about how wrong the exterminations were and there's a better way to control Hells population. I think a part of a reason why Sera unaccepting to believe her methods are wrong (tho I think she felt immoral doing it) is because she unwilling/can't accept it was wrong. That the horrors she commited for the greater good....was a mistake. "Angels don't make mistakes." I think if Sera admit fault to the extermations...it would sicken and shake her to her core too much.

Emily realizing she not going to sway Sera so she will start helping Sir Pentious and Charlie behind Sera back. Either she needs further proof to enlighten Sera or something else is going on in Hell and Emily running out of time to convince Sera so Emily disobey Sera orders to do what she felt is right.

The frustrating thing for Emily is Sera is unwilling to listen to Emily. She shuts down the conversation early one in fear of Emily questioning will cause her to fall.

There be discord between the two. Which is difficult as they clearly care for each other but they are firmly oppose in their views of the situation. Sera being more authoritative having Emily duties more restrictive to keep her from falling. It causes Emily to pull away more. Be resentful. Emily is younger but she's not a child and she cant stand she is be treating as such. She is capable to make decisions and have her own thoughts and opinions. Everything Sera does to maintain control, of Emily and Heaven residence is well intention, but the tighter she tries to hold on, the quicker everything falling apart. Sera possibly will develop more of a helicopter parent tendency or try to have a firmer tighter hold on everything. The attempts to keep Emily close, just makes Emily want to distance herself even further. \.

Sera will be interesting antagonist. Because she thinks she doing it for the greater good. That something in the past sort of proves that point (possibly). The fact that Sera probably doesn't want to act out the way she does but reluctantly accepts the responsibility of the extreme methods because its the reasonable and effective choice. The extreme means to the necessary end.

Emily will eventually stand up Sera, (perhaps literally while standing behind or at Charlies side.) The act finally got to Sera and she hesitantly trust Emily with her decision and stand alongside her. I think that would make cannon...BUT wouldn't these final scenarios be more delicious...

Emily literally standing up to Sera (and her army), standing behind or CHarlie side for the final confrontation before the clashes of the enviable battle. Sera heart wrenching as she has to force her hand against Emily and her decision. Because she can't step down from her responsibility of Heaven even if it was for Emily. That the two literally have to fight each other. Sera most likely have the upper hand but pulled back from the final blow, unable to follow it through.

I don't think this will happen at all but I think it be sooo interesting to see Sera fall. Her extremist ways catching up to her. No matter how well intention they were. The fact she was well intention and she still fell would come a great shock to her. That the fall force her to realize her error in her ways. Greatly humbling her as she amongst the sinners she had distaste for and in the same situation as Lucifer who she lacked sympathy for.

Urgh anon I feel you, I really do😭 as maddenning as the whole thing is though I do think that the simple answer is that Matty is a drug addict (per his own words, he has straight up said it) and drug addicts tend to impulsively search for temporary highs in different forms, often without being aware that that's what they're doing. Tbf Matty has also said that he's now clean from the heroin and stuff but Taylor does sing about him buying pills and being stoned so🤷🏻‍♀️ And anyways, even if a drug addict is in recovery they're still bound to have erratic behaviours and/or withdrawal symptoms and I legit think that's a big part of why this man is the mess he is. Like he would be messy anyways but with the drugs he just stands no chance and so he ends up hurting the people around him a lot without meaning to.

I did have a phase there in 2022 where I was very into the 1975 and Matty specifically as in, I wanted to fuck him and yes that is so deeply embarrassing for my life and for my soul I know ☠️☠️ but besties we'd just come out of a global pandemic that'd nearly done me in literally like I really almost ended it all so I wasn't exactly ok and I did a bunch of messy questionable stuff that year and yes had a crush on Matty bc I was fresh out the slammer (as in the pandemic lol). When it was confirmed in May that Taylor was in fact hooking up with him I joked with Nat that she went ahead and fucked him for me💀😭 but that was all before the man outed himself as an avid enjoyer of deranged misogynistic racist porn and before he said the racist ass shit about Ice Spice. No crush of mine has ever been so quickly and effectively extinguished as that one was, the moment I knew about that he was suddenly the most disgusting and unappealing human ever to me🤷🏻‍♀️ ngl kinda wish my irl crush that I've been pining after for years would do something repulsive like that and kill the crush once and for all lol. But yeah when Nat put 2 and 2 together about Question...? there was no question (pun intended lol) between us that the song was about Matty, I'd been listening a lot to 75 songs and yeah he is the certified Sad Boi and she was the certified Good Girl back in Tatty 1.0. I think the ootw sample at the begginning of the song is making a nod to the time period when this happened, not to our boy Harold. Crazy how she was wanting explanations from Matty back then and once again does now 10 years later💀I was listening to the album again while walking home yesterday and Nat you're right I had too much faith in her lol it really does feel like she wrote this album instead of going to therapy 💀😭 it's like if she'd managed to write her way out of 2016. I do think that's ultimately a good thing though bc she carried around the wounds and trauma of 2016 for years but with this it seems like she effectively sucked the poison out of the wounds and is very determined to close the chapter and heal. I still really wish she would just go to therapy though😩 girlie can pay for the best therapist in all of the US if she wants and make them sign the most solid NDA for privacy. I legit wonder if that has been a hold up for her going to therapy, maybe she's terrified of things leaking and feels like she could never truly trust a therapist/inhibit herself enough to be able to say everything she needs to say, and so she ends up thinking that it's not worth it and instead talks to her friends and makes unhinged songs lol

monster: Is your OC monstrous in any way? Is there something that makes them monstrous? Are they aware of their own monstrosity? Do they accept it or reject it?

That depends: what exactly is monstrosity? Is it physical attributes like fangs and claws and inhuman features? Or is it a form of behavior, of mindest, of things they've done?

If you'd ask her directly she'd say yes, she is monstrous. She's aware that the things she's done aren't good. Aren't ethical or even excusable. There is blood on her hands not from self defense but from simply blowing off steam.

It's not something she's proud of, she simply doesn't care. If it means the ones she cares about are safe she'll gladly do some dirty work

nightmare: What does your OC have nightmares about? How do they deal with their nightmares? Do they tell people, or keep it to themself?

Yes! Semi-regular ones. It depends on how much stress she is under and if anything major (DC incident, Pandoria, etc.) happened recently. The nightmares range from imagining how her mom's bodies looked after the rock slide to seeing Justin or Onyx die before her eyes.

As to how she deals with them, it depends on the severity of the nightmare. Sometimes she just stays awake for an hour hugging a plushy. Other times she goes to spend the rest of the night in Justin's room curled up next to him. There was also a period of time where she straight up just slept in Justin's room because she was too scared to wake up to him gone.

She never tells anyone what she sees tho, just that she's had a bad dream. (Between me and you, Justin knows it has to be something serious when he wakes up with her having a death-grip on his arm)

torture: Has your OC ever been tortured? Would your OC ever torture someone else?

Surprisingly neither. Dark Core never managed to get a hold of her long enough to do something and she doesn't really take her time killing when going on rouge mission. It's about efficiency for her.

She wouldn't hesitate to torture someone if it came to the Dark Riders or Darko tho. Death is mercy and not something any of them deserve.

CF, let's go!

Immediately more amusing than SS by virtue of the fact that I care about the enemy units. Yes, Rhea looks so cool, Flayn is so cool, Catherine yeeeeeah. Very nice, I'm very happy.

Jokes aside, CF is looking very interesting from the perspective of speculating about 3H's production process.

From what I recall of the interviews, it seems they added CF comparatively late, due to simping reasons. That's interesting in itself, because Edelgard was given a lot of focus in development, given stuff like the early drafts of her also being able to Divine Pulse. But I guess it was only later in that they realized that, yeah, giving her a route would be cool and probably the most unique thing they could do.

Anyway, given its weird development, CF has a lot of strangeness about it. It's the shortest route by a good margin (VW and AM have 10 chapter each, SS has 9 due to Gronder being cut, but CF has only 6). There is only one actually unique map, I believe (Tailtean), but the chapters are reshuffled in completely different order from VW-SS-AM having basically the exact same progression. At the same time, is a very obvious lack of pre-rendered cutscenes and even in-engine scenes to some extent.

So the impression I get is that it was added late, so they couldn't produce certain assets like cutscenes or more than six chapters, but at the same time, they had a lot more passion for it, since they created a unique progression and honestly Edelgard has been emoting more in one scene than the entire Academy phase.

My dudes.... perhaps you should have started from the villain route and just gone full in, instead of the limp-wristed SS stuff, which supposedly was written first out of everything.

Live blogging notes:

I like how Edelgard is in her school uniform during the pre-battle scene in the Holy Tomb, but is then in the Flame Emperor outfit post-battle. Girl took the time to change, I see. It's not really a huge deal, but it's so lacking in attention to detail, sigh.

Man, furious antagonist Rhea is so cool. Very nice.

The Immaculate One is just a still here, where it was always a cinematic in the other routes.

We book it. Only respect for Rhea.

Hum... all the BE students escape with us to one of the Imperial army's provisional camps. Except Flayn, obviously. The students give a mix of reasons why they're siding with Edelgard, and they're fine. Kinda mild, but whatever. The music really gets me. Cute bubbly track while everyone is like "well, I wasn't thinking and just ran" or "I have political reasons" and then it switches to Edelgard's imperial march theme, and man. It's really something.

Yeah, Edelgard's anti-Church pitch is kinda... lol. Given that her own henchmen was like "steal all the bones! desecrate those graves! kill everyone!"

This is hilarious. Admittedly already more fun than SS.

Edelgard admits to being well aware of how much chaos and destruction she is bringing about based on just her own will. She knows she is the cause of countless deaths. But she still says she wants to bring down the church.

Except, of course, the Church hasn't done anything to her lol Edelgard's manifesto will expose "the foul practices of the nobles from the Kingdom and Alliance" like what tho

Byleth is going to lead a special "Black Eagle Strike Force"

Quickly noting: We skip the entire last month of Academy Phase, going from 2/29 for the Holy Tomb directly to 3/30 for the pre-assault camp.

Edelgard B: takes place in her monastery bedroom, which is funny at this juncture. She talks about how she'd like a day to just idle away and eat sweets, and also how without Byleth she would have become a harsh leader with a heart of ice (ok, sure) and how everyone else always treated her as an untouchable princess or emperor, didn't look her in the eye, etc. Ferdinand does not exist, I guess. It's very staple as a concept, but the details aren't really in place for this. At best, you can say this hinges more on her own perceptions -- she never respected anyone else until Byleth enough to let them approach her as anything except pawns and vassals. Self-imposed trials and all that.

Roundup of the kids: Ingrid wants to try to persuade her father to join Edelgard but thinks he probably won't, Caspar's father is leading the "western units" and he'd have had to fight him if he stayed at the monastery, Linhardt calls out that the biggest nobles in the empire stripped Edie's dad of his powers but are now supporting her to smoothly take the throne (weird!), Ferdie acknowledges that his father is greedy and arrogant but feels that he did a lot of work for the empire only to now be disgraced (stripped of his rank and under house arrest), Bernie has less thoughts in her head than Caspar, Felix has like two lines lol, Leonie is just directly with Byleth and no one else, Ashe emphasizes that he can't trust the Church after Lonato and Christophe, Sylvain is kind of mess, thinking of his father, Dimitri, how he might die in the fighting, etc.

Hubert says it's not up to Edelgard to bring the students to our cause, which is... kinda wild. Why is it not up to her. Based on the rest of the dialogue, he means the recruited students from other houses, but uuuh given 3H quality, I expect he says this even if you haven't recruited, and also the phrasing is very vague to begin with.

Garreg Mach has never been attacked, so no one really knows how well it can stand against assault. Edelgard is confident in our power "from a mathematical standpoint."

Ladislava leads Edelgard's personal guard. There's also Randolph von Bergliez. His mother married into Caspar's family but this was after his birth. Unclear if this means he's from a previous relationship of hers, or if he wasn't legitimized despite being from a Bergliez fling. That explains one random battle line I got from him when attacking as Caspar on SS.

There's a couple stray comments from NPCs about Rhea turning into a beast (which happened down in the Holy Tomb where only a few people were, so... curious an NPC knows) and about not entirely believing Edelgard but supporting her for now.

Overall battle plan for the assault: Edelgard (+Byleth) leads an elite force that strikes as close to the monastery as possible, planning to draw attention of the elite Knights and Rhea's ire. Meanwhile, the main forces that marched in from the capital will surround and "annihilate" the remaining areas.

Another still of the Immaculate One after the battle, no CG. The entire scene is just one still, headshots of models talking and some filter to show that "the castle" is "crumbling." And that's it, wow.

Without Rhea fighting Thales and trying to save Byleth, she's well enough to flee to Faerghus. Nice!

Edelgard's dialogue here... has almost the exact same beats as Claude's which is a bit funny.

Recap again that Dimitri is King and supporting the Church, Claude is being neutral, though Edelgard makes it clear this is a negative. His leadership "has thrown the Alliance into chaos."

OK, so Edelgard directly says we're going to eliminate the Church, the Kingdom and the Allaince. We're out to get them all, and the first target is Claude because Riegan has been standing against the Empire. To secure a route for imperial troops into the Alliance, we'll take out the big bridge first. At the same time, we'll take out Judith and since her territory is on the border with the Kingdom, getting her out of the way will be useful too.
