"Dooku had not loved her.
She had thought he had. Not as a woman, of course, or even a daughter, but as an apprentice. Someone who showed promise, who he enjoyed training and shaping."
-Asajj Ventress, Dark Disciple by Christie Golden
Frankly, he probably did love Asajj as a twisted Padawan figure - and that was the problem. People Dooku love tend to have a pretty short shelf life; Sidious already went through so much trouble to eliminate the first batch of them (with some serious help from Dooku himself) he's not going to go down that path again with his already problematic ex-Jedi apprentice getting nice and stabilized by a mutually beneficial relationship.
It's an interesting piece of characterization, almost worse than if he had moved entirely beyond the concept and capability. This tragedy that Dooku does still seem to love, or close to it, but that love doesn't fucking save anybody, least of all himself.

Listen, I like Skybound, I think there's some great moments in it
But I cannot get over the fact that Nya's dying words were basically:
"Lol this friend group was lame anyway, PEACE ✌️"

Do Clerics have like. Doctor-patient confidentiality in general?
[Shrek meme: "They don't even have HIPAA"]
Nope. ZERO protections babey, the Cleric is a tiny Pope without a funny hat. They can do whatever they want unless the OTHER unaccountable religious cult leader decides to do something about it.
Cats like Featherwhisker, Spottedleaf, Runningnose, and Jayfeather are hit with realizations about this. For a few simple restrictions... you have nearly unquestionable power. You answer directly to StarClan. The amount of influence you have over a Clan is actually kind of insane.
The "Leader's Rights" and "Cleric's Vow" commandments were attempts to reign in the power of Clerics, with a lot of collateral damage. The Cleric is only overruled by the direct command of a leader, which means that the Cleric can ALWAYS act first unless the Leader pre-empts them.
Pearstar was a Cleric who violently overthrew Morningstar, before the invention of the Leader's Rights. The Leader's Rights were created in response to Larkstripe's Cleric Strike.

i normally don't like to address fanart but bro, this pisses me off so badly. because this is what all catra stans think.
“adora never cared about catra being abused, she only cares about random people getting hurt—” did they forget that adora grew up in the same toxic environment? that adora was also abused?
she tried her best to protect catra from shadow weaver but the thought of leaving the horde never crossed her mind, because she was taught to believe that this was normal. and she was taught to fear everything and everyone outside the horde. only after she spent some time outside the horde did she realize that the princesses weren't the evil ones and that the horde was hurting innocent people.
and she gave catra a choice to join her multiple times. i feel like c//a fans are deliberately ignoring this atp so they can coddle their poor catgirl. as soon as adora realized how toxic the horde was, she begged catra to go with her. it was catra's choice to stay in the horde and continue the cycle of abuse and destruction.
stop holding adora accountable for catra's actions. stop blaming her for leaving the toxic environment she grew up.
