Oh Gen Q, it’s almost like you don’t want me to like you!

Some thoughts along the way:

- Fuck off, Nat, you gave up your chance a long time ago!! Go kiss someone else’s girlfriend.

- I do get why Gigi feels somewhat nostalgic and all, especially in this post-accident situation, but Nat is flying around her like a vulture (plus seriously, what’s with the looks she keeps giving Dani?) and it’s really hard to buy Gigi not seeing that. Also Nat in general is just... urgh.

- So what exactly is Dani’s job these days? Is she like... a party planner now, or something? (Also are we ever going to find out what happened after the arrest?) The champagne bottle moment made me laugh though!

- That Shane and Finley montage made no sense at all, but I appreciated the Shane part nonetheless (the broken water pipe included).

- So after the preacher we now get the teacher, huh? How highly original.

- Sophie asking Dani and Gigi to have dinner with her and Finley - of all people - was the weirdest invite ever. Dani and Sophie might be civil again, but you’re not telling me there’s anyone in LA who doesn’t know how Dani feels about Finley (at this point) (oh god, it’s really watching an accident bound to happen isn’t it?).

- I thought Tess’s mom had MS? Why do they make it look like Alzheimer now? (Edit: just learned she’s got dementia, too. So never mind.)

- And just like that Dani gets (character murdered and) demoted and now has to play with the kids again. Sigh...

Alright, I did enjoy some of the funny and lighter moments this week, but in general I’ve got to say that so far this is the worst Gen Q season - which is saying a lot. The writing is just so.... lazy. It’s forced, and predictable, and the only thing they can think of is “which party/main event will we have this week” and “which couple reached the max of three weeks of happiness and has to be ruined asap”.

So yeah.... see you next week! (lol)

ALL ABOUT SHANE GRAY.

MITCHIE : dame besitos (give me kisses) is an album filled with songs that i wrote at my last summer of camp rock. it’s really just love letters to shane that represented our youth and who we were and still are. so mi amor, you better love this album or else the dogs and i are going to sinaloa for the weekend!

INTERVIEWER : there’s this big conspiracy theory about you and shane and these cowboy hats. how the connect 3 fans think he’s leaving the band to form a duet with you instead. it’s trending all over!

MITCHIE : pinche cabrón! no okay so let me explain! what happens is that this man goes into our - my closet - and steals my hats before his shows. i don’t even realize until videos are posted!

INTERVIEWER : does your family approve of your relationship with the connect 3 singer, shane gray considering what his past is like?

MITCHIE : my mami is probably our biggest supporter in the family. i’m the first granddaughter, niece, my parents only child. the first of my generation. it’s not a matter of whether they like him or not. my family is just protective over me regardless of who i date.

TOURING, REPRESENTATION AND THE SINGLES.

MITCHIE : this tour has been an absolute dream come true. i have worked my ass off to get to this point and like it’s showing not only in me, but my friends, family and fans.

MITCHIE : i mean, it's crazy that i'm going to these latin countries to perform my music pero i'm just a girl from inglewood, california. now i'm also considered representation. like when did that happen?

MITCHIE : i love the feedback i’ve gotten about everywhere and my happy ending. i was conflicted about releasing my happy ending because it’s a sad vault song but shane agreed it needed to be added.

ADDRESSING RUMORS AND THE DOCUFILM.

INTERVIEWER : tess tyler was spotted leaving your concert the other night in new york city. care to address the rivalry?

MITCHIE : my abuelita always said: “si no vas a decir nada bueno, mejor no digas nada.” ( if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all ) i’m kidding. well, she did say that but, no - tess is great. you just have to … dig deep with her. that’s all i’m gonna say.

INTERVIEWER : you have a new documentary coming out on hbo max about the making of your album, your childhood and your summers at camp rock.

MITCHIE : no yeah! from the wood, with kisses. it talks about everything close to me. to me, it’s the most vulnerable i have ever been with the public about who i really am. where i really come from.

okay no i literally hate shane this season.... i usually find it hard to hate her because i relate to her A LOT especially with her trauma, but there's got to be some point where you take control and continously work and improve and heal yourself because no one else is going to do that for you. it's your responsibility to be better despite situations that have harmed you deeply. i thought that with tess, shane was finally making the progress. and then she goes and cheats on her. and then from the sneak peek for the next episode i can tell she's going to say the same old bullshit that it's just who she is and who she's always been. and that mindset (and her pettiness for fucking ivy whenever tess doesn't have her as the priority or is under stress) is exactly what is preventing her from moving on from being an asshole and it makes me so frustrated. god i know these writers are struggling so hard to find a plotline but if it doesn't include 40 year old shane getting therapy, i'm out

ok so in the original run of the l word shane’s cheating was hot in some cases (note SOME) and shes young and stupid and making mistakes, but in gen q season 3 i absolutely hate her for it, not only because she’s older but also because i love tess, she’s probably my favourite new character, and she deserves so much better. if tess leaves or doesn’t get a happy ending because of this i will scream.

Shane and Tess remind me of my partner and I minus the alcohol and cheating and i now have them addicted to the couple. Success ok but 3x05, they talk in such a healthy way to fix things. That patio scene???? I've never seen something like that done so healthily on a show. Ever. Am i pissed the writers made Shane cheat tho? Absolutely i am Tess is my favorite character and didn't deserve that shit

I can't get over that scene though. It was so fucking loving. Can writers just let us have one ship? Literally just one. I love the drama and i get that the original l word was just "everyone fucks everyone" but its not 2003 anymore and we don't gotta do that. Let the gays have something nice.
